  1. Welcome to Hanway Tagalog Sermon Podcast, your daily dose of inspiring,

  2. heartfelt tagalog sermons from different pastors and speakers all over

  3. the Philippines. We hope that this podcast finds you in

  4. good shape. And now here's your message. I'll give the

  5. Lord a handclap. He's great, yay, and we're gonna dismiss children,

  6. allow them to go to Superchurch in the back Pastor Greg,

  7. Mss Laura and the team that's serving today. The rest

  8. of you get your bulletin, turn it over for the notes,

  9. and let's get our bible. Hold it up and declare

  10. who we are? You ready, let's say this the kids

  11. are going out. This is my Bible. It is the

  12. standard I live my life by. I am a spiritfuled believer,

  13. sustained by my personal relationship with the Lord, empowered by

  14. my commitment to community and express throughout reach to others. Therefore,

  15. I can say, and all right, hey, I really want

  16. to encourage you with these notes. Some of this as

  17. we're going through it, I'm going to challenge you to

  18. put it in your Bible and you'll see why in

  19. a little bit. Write it in your bible so that

  20. you can use it on Wednesday night, all our classes

  21. are up and running, my class, factory, culture, different ones

  22. in ministry. I'm having them give testimony right now. It's

  23. just powerful. Wednesday night was awesome, Todd Hunters shared. So

  24. each week it'll be someone different. Don and Perry have

  25. the Book of James Man up. They're doing a new curriculum,

  26. Women of Courage and new curriculum. So there's a lot

  27. going on, and our teens have their own service and

  28. so forth. Today we're going to complete this series Change

  29. your World, and in two weeks from today, I want

  30. to start a series on the Holy Spirit. Just really

  31. let's dive into the person of the Holy Spirit see

  32. work in our life and how we need to rely

  33. on him, trust him and receive him more. Amen, So

  34. be praying over that as we begin developing that. But

  35. let's conclude this Change your World. Just briefly recap for you.

  36. The first two weeks were on this. We just talked

  37. about the stewardship of influence that's needed. You need to

  38. steward your influence because you have influence. Three of you agree, okay,

  39. I said you have of influence? You do, and when

  40. you know that, it just changes your world. And that

  41. was a big picture week, and I gave you the

  42. vision night vision that let's see Bill Bright and Lauren

  43. Cunningham had on the same night in nineteen seventy five.

  44. They were scheduled to have lunch the next day and

  45. each one had the exact same vision from the Lord.

  46. And when they got to their lunch, they were so

  47. excited to want to share theirs and they pulled out

  48. their papers and it was exact seven points. Don't you

  49. think that's a confirmation from the Lord? And because both

  50. of them affect the world, how about that they affect

  51. the world. So let's start lifting up our eyes, because

  52. you can change your world, and you change it by

  53. changing your world. That's how we change the world. If

  54. the Body of Christ would think this way, we really

  55. could change the world. So that's why I'm challenging us

  56. with this. After we finished the study of Galatians, we've

  57. stepped right into this. But those seven areas I've given

  58. them to you, they'll come up on the screen. The church, family, government, education, media, business, arts,

  59. and entertainment. And for our area, entertainment would be more sports.

  60. We live in a very sports centered type of environment,

  61. and our whole state week three, we brought it a

  62. little bit closer in and we talked about our own sphere.

  63. What does your spe look like people around us? And

  64. we need to recognize and exercise that influence. So I

  65. gave you some practical ways how you can do that.

  66. Last week I gave you tools. We looked at the

  67. most excellent way from the word of God. It's not

  68. the only way, but it is the most excellent way.

  69. People experience the most in some type of relational connection.

  70. Everybody say relational connection. Let me say it this way.

  71. A person's life does not usually change with information. It

  72. really doesn't. It does not change with information. It always

  73. is changed relationally. Think about how you came to Christ.

  74. Most of you, I think there was a person involved,

  75. right family member, a caring coach, somebody involved in your life.

  76. You probably can't tell me the message that you heard,

  77. the word that we're shared, to the scriptures that we shared,

  78. But you can tell me the person who prayed with you.

  79. You can do that. Life change happens in relationship. So

  80. by God's design and even our design, we're putting together

  81. some smaller groups settings so that you can develop more

  82. and we want you to see everything going on and

  83. things that you want to develop, giving you a platform

  84. far because you belong. And that'll happen again on September tenth,

  85. when we have everything out right after the Labor Day weekend,

  86. and we want to highlight all these things because we're

  87. still in vacation mode and people are vacationing and so

  88. forth till we get through Labor Day. This smaller groups,

  89. ministry groups, outreach groups. It sets you up for relationship,

  90. It sets you up for intentional interaction. Truth comes out,

  91. people share, iron sharpens iron. So today as we close this,

  92. I want to bring it down even smaller than from

  93. the big world to our spear to this, Let's just

  94. talk about one person at a time, just one person.

  95. Do you have one person you would love to see saved?

  96. Janette say she has two? Anybody have two? Do I

  97. hear three? Okay, hopefully we do just one person at

  98. a time. Let's begin by looking at a verse that

  99. starts the Gospel of Mark and ends the gospel, and

  100. to me, really even shares what the gospel is all about.

  101. When Jesus started putting his followers together, his close knit group,

  102. his disciples, he says, I'm going to make you into something. Right,

  103. he was going to make them into something. Now you

  104. think Jesus was going to turn them into something, make

  105. them nicer, make them kinder, make them spiritual, make them

  106. full of head knowledge. So when they walk there bobbling

  107. around because they've got the answer for everyone. No, when

  108. Jesus started gathering his followers together, he used the language

  109. of the time and what was important to the people

  110. and what was around the people consistently. Mark one, verse

  111. seventeen says this, Come follow me, Jesus said, and I

  112. will make you what. I'm going to make you into something,

  113. not just change you, but make you. I'm going to

  114. teach you, Jesus says, how to use your life in

  115. some way, or how to impact another person's life. Let

  116. me share the importance of this and hopefully remove some

  117. of the fears associated with this topic, because a lot

  118. of people are extremely intimidated about evangelism. That's a big word,

  119. and it kind of scares me too, to be honest,

  120. because when you think of an evangelist, what comes to

  121. your mind? Spit fire. Okay, I'm dating myself, white leather

  122. patent shoes in a three piece suit, right, come on loud,

  123. Maybe obnoxious. Yeah, come on, Chris. Chris is an evangelist,

  124. but he's not obnoxious. He's just loud and fun. It's great.

  125. How many got to hear Chris said our outreach back

  126. to school, he had everybody just mesmerize, and it is

  127. a gifting in him. But a lot of times we think, well,

  128. I'm not like that. I'm not like Chris, so therefore

  129. I'm disqualified from being that. No. Now look at Mark sixteen,

  130. verse fifteen. I'm gonna read this out of the New

  131. Century version. Jesus said to his followers, go everywhere in

  132. the world and tell the good news to everyone. That's

  133. pretty simple, right, very simple. Now, let's think us some

  134. adjectives to describe the person responsible for you to come

  135. into Christ. Caring, committed, faithful, cut me out, I'm saying

  136. them all, give me some others, loving, gentle, persistent, truthful. Interesting.

  137. How about that? That's kind of neat? Huh honest, bold,

  138. You're using whole different words than the words we used

  139. to describe in our mind of an evangelist. Somehow, some

  140. believers think evangelism is extreme behavior and approach to people,

  141. when really it's just caring, truthful, persistent, honest, loving all

  142. the things that you've just shared Acts one, verse eight.

  143. You're very familiar with this verse, but let's take this

  144. and use it in terms of what we're talking about today.

  145. Jesus said, you receive power when the Holy Spirit comes

  146. on you, and you will be my say the next word,

  147. witnesses in Jerusalem, that's right where you are. In Algidea

  148. and Samaria, that's the broader area, and to what the

  149. ends of the year. So Jesus is interested in the

  150. world being changed by believers because they are witnesses. In

  151. a courtroom, you have a prosecutor or a prosecuting attorney,

  152. you have a defense attorney, and then you'll have witnesses

  153. that are called to the stand. A witness is supposed

  154. to just share what they have, what they've seen, what

  155. they've witnessed, what they saw that took place. They're not

  156. there to prosecute, they're not there to defend. They're just

  157. telling their story. Can I tell you what has happened

  158. to me and the difference God has made in my life?

  159. And when you do that, listen, when you do that,

  160. the world is very interested in that. It puts them

  161. at ease and they're not defensive. This is your destiny

  162. if you are a follower of Jesus, because followers fish.

  163. Now listen. If you're not fishing, please hear me. And

  164. I say this in gentleness. You probably are miserable and

  165. critical because you're analyzing life or the Word, or family

  166. or this set and the other. But when you are fishing,

  167. you're so focused on the heartbeat of God. You're digging

  168. in the Word. You're digging to find out what you

  169. can do to help the person that's on your heart.

  170. Come on, help me out somebody. Who are you fishing

  171. for right now? Think about who? If I were to

  172. go up to you and say, give me the name

  173. of the person you're fishing for. If you can't give

  174. me one, whether it's a family member, a neighbor, coworker,

  175. someone you're going to school with, yeah, if you don't

  176. have one, ask God for them and all you got

  177. to do. And I'm gonna show you in a few

  178. moments how that can take place, because you will not

  179. find your purpose until you're fishing well. I like this,

  180. and I like to study and a great do and

  181. then it incorporates into fishing well. I want to study

  182. in times, I want to do this, great, it'll incorporate

  183. into fishing. It's not just having it here, but it's

  184. been able to take all the things that are important

  185. to you and use it in fishing and reaching the

  186. world and reaching the people around you. You know, you say,

  187. well I just want deep teaching. Well here's something deep.

  188. Let's do what Jesus ask us to do and you'll

  189. be happy. The person drowning and dying and their problem

  190. doesn't need the Greek word for life raft. They just

  191. need you to come on, so we can't get away

  192. from them. It's all through the Bible. And maybe we

  193. just need to ask God to give us a love

  194. for people. How about that? You know? And please, I

  195. mean if you watch too much of the news and

  196. this and so forth in everybody's opinion, and I tell

  197. you what, I limit it because it starts drowning my

  198. love for Christ and people. We need it. We don't

  199. want to be an ostrich with our hidden the sind.

  200. But please don't let anything drown your love out for people.

  201. Two Timothy four two through five. Preach the word of God.

  202. Be prepared whether the time is favorable or not. And

  203. normally it's not this be honest work look, work at

  204. telling others the good news. In other words, you've got

  205. to study and prepare and know what to do, work

  206. at telling the good news, use and fully carry out

  207. the ministry God has given you, which is telling the

  208. good news. So I'm just going to give you four

  209. simple things to make this simple and in all kinds

  210. of rhymes. You know, preachers got to do that. Evangelism

  211. is not you knowing how to explain the whole Bible

  212. to someone and convince them that your way is better

  213. than theirs. It's just one person at a time. So

  214. here we go. Point number one, Become aware. What do

  215. you mean, pastor, here's my little saying. I've said it before.

  216. Wherever you are, just be all there, and being all

  217. there is your eyes looking out. Ask people questions, ask

  218. them about their family, talk to them about their life,

  219. find out their need. Become aware of others. This is

  220. your ministry. Becoming aware number one the two things it

  221. is your ministry. This is a strong word, but I'm

  222. going to use it. It really is God's expectation of us.

  223. It doesn't mean he doesn't love us if we never

  224. witness I'm not saying that or that he won't be

  225. happy with you. But you know I want I don't

  226. want Jesus just to accept me because I've prayed a

  227. sinner's prayer and I'm trying to follow him. I want

  228. him to be happy with me too. Yeah, yeah, yeah,

  229. you know lil saying. It was in our John Beavie

  230. series we completed. John and his wife Lisa told their

  231. children at some point, we want you to know there's

  232. nothing you can do that makes us love you less,

  233. and all the kids smiled, and then they said, there's

  234. nothing you could do that would even make us love

  235. you more, but you can determine how happy we are

  236. with you in that good I want Jesus happy when

  237. your name is mentioned, not just why. I've got my

  238. past to heaven and I'm going to hold on. But

  239. it doesn't matter what stage, how young, oh whatever this

  240. gets burning in your heart, you come alive. It just

  241. come alive. It's the way of life. Romans ten, verse

  242. fourteen through fifteen. Romans ten fourteen and fifteen. How then,

  243. can they call on the one they have not believed in?

  244. And how can they believe in the one whom they've

  245. not heard? How can anyone preach unless they're sin of

  246. course we use this for missions and so forth as

  247. it is written. And I love this promise from the

  248. Old Testament. How beautiful are the feet of those who

  249. bring what goodness? Bring people good news. Don't go fix people.

  250. Don't go to other believers and tell them everything's wrong

  251. in their life. Don't do that to one another. You

  252. hear me. If you do that, stop it, Just stop it.

  253. That doesn't help any of that. It hurts relationships. Just

  254. bring good news to people. Everybody say good news. Do

  255. that MENO set you free, It'll help you. Two Corinthians

  256. five twenty says this, we're christ ambassadors. God is making

  257. his appeal through us, so this is your ministry. And

  258. number two still on this point, God doesn't have a

  259. plan be you're it. The appeal is through us. So

  260. be aware of this and what you're to do. Be

  261. aware of the simple process. Now this guy ingles, I

  262. don't know it, but I found this chart and I

  263. liked it, and I encourage you to even write it

  264. in your Bible somewhere, because this will help you to

  265. see where people are that you're wanting to bring to Christ.

  266. I think very often we think, Okay, I've got to

  267. seal the deal, and if I can't do it the

  268. first time, I'd just turn them over to the devil

  269. and send them to hell. And it's a process very often.

  270. And the whole thing is you're wanting to just keep

  271. bringing people closer along. I gave you the illustration of

  272. Carl Delatt over the last couple of weeks and what

  273. he did when he was in sales, and how he

  274. had a revolving door in his office because he baited

  275. people so much and loved him. They'd be in his

  276. office begging him what makes you difference? And he did, Well,

  277. you're not ready to know. He'd send them away for

  278. weeks at a time until the point where they so

  279. trusted him. When he would then share about Jesus, every

  280. one of them would get saved. How about that? How

  281. many think that win his souls his wives? He was

  282. wise in his approach, and he had love for people.

  283. So how does this process work? Look at this? Well,

  284. let me Readfirse Corinthians three, verse six, out of the

  285. Living Bible. My work was to plant the seed in

  286. your arts, and then Apollo's work was to water it.

  287. It was God, not we, who made the garden grow

  288. in your hearts. This shows you there is a process.

  289. There is a process going on. So where are people

  290. number one resistant? Negative six? Just resistant? This is all

  291. from Ingles in his study, just far from God. Probably

  292. resistance because of fear, hurt, unforgiveness, bitterness, ignorance. And I've

  293. used this before when someone says, well, I've been hurt

  294. by Christians. I've had that. I go, yeah, me too,

  295. and that just takes them off guard, like you have. Yeah.

  296. You gotta get over it though, because you're gonna hurt someone.

  297. Everybody hurt someone, and someone who holds onto a hurt

  298. and uses that as their foundation, they're sunk. They're sunk

  299. at that point and they just go down. So we

  300. all deal with hurt, and you deal with it in

  301. your home relationships. We all eat a meal that makes

  302. us sick. You get over it and you eat again,

  303. don't you. You don't stop eating at that point. So

  304. it's just trying to get them to move closer so

  305. they're resistant. What happens after that, well, there's just a

  306. slight crack in that hard shell and they become receptive.

  307. Everyone has hurts, disappointments. You're able to start relating to them.

  308. Maybe about some of that and showing that you understand.

  309. Then a negative four seeking well, they realize, Okay, I

  310. do need to change. I need to quit kicking the

  311. dog or whatever. I need to change. I need to

  312. deal with these addictions. I need to deal with stuff

  313. that's causing defeat and depression. So there's even a greater

  314. opening there because they realize change is needed. And you

  315. just meet them at that point of reception number negative

  316. three considering, well, they're looking at options. They're looking at

  317. maybe some of the things that you have shared. Maybe

  318. you've given them a book to read, or a CD

  319. or some music, something of that nature. What's cool about

  320. this stage is that they don't like where they are

  321. right now. You hear me. See that's a signal. When

  322. a person doesn't like where they are and you have

  323. the relationship, there's a door because they don't like that spot.

  324. Here's something we know as believers. Ready, nothing in this

  325. world works outside of a relationship with Christ. Nothing. Try

  326. living a life without God and the center of it.

  327. It will always lead to misery. It always grieves me.

  328. At a funeral or something, when you know the family

  329. or people they don't know Christ. Where's their hope, where

  330. is it? So therefore we've got to help people come

  331. to Christ, sir. If they're not measurable, well yet they

  332. will be. Life throws curveballs at all of us. Come on,

  333. let's be honest. Life can stink sometimes when you face

  334. something you weren't expecting. The difference for us is we

  335. have someone to run to who gives you peace and

  336. helps you no matter what's going in the world or

  337. turmoil or this set and the other negative three understanding

  338. this is where you just start sharing simple truths and

  339. you're testing because you've befriended them and you know them.

  340. You're able to relate some of your life to where

  341. they are with the truth of what God has done

  342. for you. God wants to and you just share it. Look,

  343. God's not interested in all your religious activity. He wants

  344. relationship you just you. Just He wants relationship. You're pointing

  345. them in this way. So there's understanding Negative one ready,

  346. and I want to I'm going to challenge you. There

  347. are people around you in your sphere of influence that

  348. are ready right now. Y'all are quiet today. I said

  349. there are people around you that are ready right now.

  350. They really are you don't have to have every answer.

  351. You just need to give them an invitation of some type,

  352. something for Christ, some activity, your small group, whatever I encourage.

  353. You have one or two miserable drowning people around your life,

  354. family members, friends, neighbors, co workers, well, I don't know anybody.

  355. Get out of your house and find some Go to

  356. the health club, do this, join a sport, do something

  357. where you befriend some people, and it gives you an opportunity.

  358. Zero ground level. Here we go, new life in Christ,

  359. salvation taking place. Now there's a tendency, especially in the

  360. Bible belt area. Great, you've prayed to receive the law,

  361. I'll see you in heaven, and we get out of

  362. their life. You got a problem, go see the priature

  363. and the priacher doesn't know the person. You know the person.

  364. Often can you solve this? I go, you know the person,

  365. you work with, the person, you minister to, the person,

  366. you help them. So the first thing after Christ, they've

  367. got to belong. They need to see that they belong.

  368. That's next steps belonging to something. Make sure they belong

  369. to the Body of Christ, the local church. Get connected

  370. to something, get connected to a small group, something of

  371. that nature. It's a process, and we went through that

  372. last week. After they belong, They've got to grow, They've

  373. got to discover the Word of God. Growing means you

  374. finding out what God has for your life and who

  375. you are in Christ, and how to overcome the devil,

  376. how to be back tithes in the holy ghosts, and

  377. how to tie and how to move forward, and how

  378. to put your family together. So that's an ongoing process

  379. your whole life. Would you agree, So growing you never

  380. reach a place where you stop growing because life has

  381. different stages all the way through, and each stage of

  382. life takes a new place of growth to encompass that.

  383. And where it really becomes a home run is when

  384. suddenly they're serving. They're serving in the body of Christ.

  385. They don't want to just take receive. Wa Wait, I

  386. need to give, I need to part. That's even one

  387. reason we're wanting to show you everything that you can

  388. be a part of with our ministry. Fair God's blessing,

  389. his provision, the way He speaks to you and moves

  390. in your life. Most of it happens when you start

  391. moving towards the thing that He has for you life

  392. and you start doing something that changes the world and

  393. requires sacrifice of your time, your energy, your focus, your talents,

  394. your resources. Because you're serving and sudday it makes you

  395. grow and it makes you come alive. And number four,

  396. the big big home run is suddenly, now you're sharing.

  397. You're a minister of righteousness, You're sharing real fulfillment. You're

  398. doing this, this process with people for the rest of

  399. your life. I ran into a lady this week and

  400. tell I didn't know who she was, but she came

  401. up to me and she just was almost sent tears

  402. wanting to thank me and thank you because I sent

  403. several of you to minister at First Christian Church several

  404. months ago. And the pastor a good friend in my

  405. local group. He gave our church the Sunday wandering service. Kathy,

  406. how many Sundays four or five Sundays four and so

  407. some different testimonies is looking for? So I sent four

  408. or five of you, and you preached at their church,

  409. Praise God, First Christian Church, and did the whole service.

  410. And then did the youth say nervous And she said,

  411. you know, when my pastors said he was going to

  412. I didn't remember. She said, it was wonderful. It changed

  413. my life it's making me think of others. Thank those people.

  414. So I'm thanking all of you that participated in going

  415. and preaching and sharing the love of Christ and your

  416. testimony and what God has done. It changed that lady forever.

  417. Look at this quote from Sam Williams. Evangelism is helping

  418. people discover how God has already at worked in their life.

  419. That's all it is, and helping people move. So I

  420. encourage you write that down in your Bible somewhere to

  421. help you. I know there's a tendency God to got

  422. him to pray this prayer. I understand it's critical, it's important.

  423. You've got to believe in, you've got to confess. But

  424. it's a process very often, and it's an ongoing process,

  425. even in us who would say we love the Lord

  426. with all our heart. When God uses you to help

  427. move them just a little bit, he soup. You have

  428. to be aware how God is working in people's lives. Oy,

  429. go to the next three points real fast, okay, number

  430. two Number one, become aware Number two, Commit to prayer. Now,

  431. this is very good right here. If I can say that,

  432. I'm giving you five quick points with a scripture how

  433. you can pray every day over that person that's driving

  434. you crazy, well, hallelujah, that one that needs to get saved,

  435. that one that needs to get baptized in on holigos,

  436. the one that's critical and can't say anything but something negative.

  437. This is what you need to do. Are you ready? Okay?

  438. Pray that the Father would draw them to Jesus John

  439. six forty four. Bring that verse up. No one can

  440. come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them,

  441. and I will raise them up at the last day.

  442. Father draw them, draw them. So pray that. Number two.

  443. Pray against the spirit that blinds their minds, because deceiving

  444. spirit is in operation two Corinthians four to four. The

  445. God of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers

  446. so that they cannot see the light of the gospel

  447. that displays the glory of Christ. He's the image of God.

  448. I bind that off of them in Jesus name. Yes.

  449. Number three, pray that they come to know God. Relationally

  450. Romans eight fifteen. The spirit you receive does not make

  451. you slave, so that you live in fear again. Rather,

  452. the spirit you receive brought about your adoption to sonship, daughtership,

  453. and by him. What are we gonna cry? Ah, b Father,

  454. thank you Lord. They're gonna see that they're part of

  455. the family, can be part of the family in Jesus' name.

  456. Pray that believers will come across their paths and enter

  457. into a positive relationship with them. That verse Matthew nine

  458. thirty eight asks the Lord of the harvest therefore to

  459. send out workers into his harvest. Feel this is so crucial.

  460. So often you can't reach someone that's your own family.

  461. Are you with me? So pray that that God will

  462. bring someone around them that can reach them. Yeah, someone

  463. that I someone cool, how about that not dripping with

  464. religion and looks like they've been weaned on a deal pickle.

  465. I mean, just someone loving and just caring and all that.

  466. Got to do it. We've got to do it. And

  467. then the last saying, pray for our revelation of who

  468. Jesus is and what he has done for them. They

  469. need a revelation of that. They need understanding Ephesians one seventeen.

  470. I keep asking that God of our Lord, Jesus Christ

  471. and Glorious Father, may give you the spirit of wisdom

  472. revelation so that you may know him better. So there's

  473. a great little plan for you. Five scriptures, five points

  474. how to pray for those people and your loved ones,

  475. and if you will just make that your focus. No,

  476. Perry's on the front room. I'm thinking, Perry, you got saved?

  477. How were you? Eight years old? She was the first

  478. one in her family, her whole family, to get saved,

  479. and she made it a priority because Don and Perry

  480. and nine we were all friends in high school, praying

  481. in her whole family into the Kingdom of God. And

  482. all of them are saved. Now, okay, one sister a

  483. little wayward, but the rest of them and then their

  484. spouses and their children filled with the Holy Spirit. Because

  485. she made it a focus. I'm going to see my

  486. family saved, going to church by herself when she's eight

  487. years old. Praise God. So here's a good little plan

  488. to make that happen. We can do it in Jesus name. Amen,

  489. So we become aware. Let's connect to them in prayer,

  490. then show them you care. I know, kind of cheesy,

  491. but all that rhymes. But anyway, that was last week.

  492. We talked about that. Zach Kiss we little man, right,

  493. Jesus just went to lunch with the dude come on,

  494. how many of you can do lunch with a lost sinner? Yes,

  495. she can't climb in a sycamore tree. Well, you might

  496. be able to, but if it's low. Okay, Jesus just

  497. went to lunch. Bring up those scriptures. It's going to

  498. be in the Living Bible. I just love the way

  499. it says Jesus. Passing through Jericho, a man named zach Kiss,

  500. one of the most influential Jews in the Roman tax

  501. collecting business, and of course a very rich man, tried

  502. to get a look at Jesus. He's just too sharp

  503. to see over the crowd, so he ran ahead and

  504. climbed into a sycamore tree beside the road to watch.

  505. When Jesus came by, he looked up as the Kiss

  506. and called him by name. I think he had a

  507. word of knowledge of his name. I don't think it

  508. was a previous relationship with him. I think God just

  509. spoke his name and he knew he was supposed to

  510. reach out to him. Zach Kiss, he said, quick, come down,

  511. for I am going to be a guest in your

  512. home today. He hurried and climbed down and took Jesus

  513. to his house in great excitement and joy. But the

  514. Crials were displeased. All the religious people, he's going to

  515. be a guest of ventatory center. Please, let's not gossip,

  516. Let's not do stuff like that. Are you with me?

  517. Let's just use speech to build up the Kingdom of God.

  518. They all grumbled. Meanwhile, zach Kiss stood before the Lord

  519. and said, because of the conviction, because of all this,

  520. this process happened quick. And zach Kiss Sir, from now on,

  521. I'll give half my wealth to the poor, and if

  522. I have overcharged anyone on his taxes, I will penalize

  523. myself by giving him back four times as much. Jesus

  524. told him. This shows that salvation has come to this

  525. house today. This man was one of the lost sons

  526. of Abraham, and I the Messiah come to search for

  527. and to save such souls as his in it. Awesome,

  528. what a fabulous, fabulous story. So I believe we can

  529. all eat And it's okay if you take a juicy

  530. center out to lunch. And just what I mean by that?

  531. They just look like the world, smell like the world,

  532. act like the world, and you just love them. Why not?

  533. What other Christians going to do? It? Just a thought

  534. that was Jesus' evangelism style. First Corinthians nine, verses nineteen

  535. through twenty three. Look at this. Though I am free

  536. and belong to no man, I make myself a slave

  537. to everyone to win as many as possible. I have

  538. become all things to all men, so that by all

  539. possible means taking them to lunch, golf, watch a basketball game,

  540. fishing chocolate through that went out for my wife, whatever,

  541. by all possible means I might save some. In other words,

  542. they're not all going to receive the Lord, but some will.

  543. I do all this for the sake of the Gospel

  544. that I may share in its blessings. Become aware, commit

  545. to prayer, show your care, and then just just be

  546. ready to share. Be ready to share. You'll get an opportunity.

  547. It will present itself as you stay consistent and steady

  548. and you do this and you're loving them and you're

  549. in their life and you're around them and you're serving them,

  550. and so forth, it's going to happen. What do I do, then, Mark?

  551. What do I do well? Lead them to Christ, Pray

  552. with them. If you've never done it, you're not sure

  553. what to do. Bring them to your small group, Bring

  554. them to one of the things you're associated with the church,

  555. or bring them to church, share your church. Just have

  556. them come and sit with you. Hey, come to church.

  557. It's kind of cool. You can bring your coffee inside.

  558. How about that you don't have to wear fancy clothes.

  559. You don't have to do that. Wear clothes, but you

  560. don't have to wear fancy clothes. You'd be amazed how

  561. that intimidates people that you're trying to reach. Sometimes I've

  562. had them actually say I don't have fancy clothes, therefore

  563. I won't come to your church. Is that the type

  564. of image I want to portray to them? No, not

  565. at all, Not at all. So they need to be

  566. They need to know that they're welcome just like they are.

  567. Have them sit with you, and when you see that

  568. person's world change, you come alive. One Peter three, verse fifteen.

  569. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who

  570. ask you to give the reason for the hope that

  571. send you and acts twenty our last verse, Andrew, you

  572. come on back up. The most important thing is that

  573. I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus

  574. gave me. What is it to tell people the good

  575. news about God's grace. That's what we do. We'll all

  576. do it in different ways. It's different emphasis in our life,

  577. different things we like to study, different books, we like

  578. to read, different music we like to listen to. But

  579. it needs to all deaftel back into this to see

  580. the world, reach, to see the loved ones reach. So

  581. let me ask a simple question. You enclose your Bible,

  582. put things up. How many do you're aware of that person? Now? One? Two, five?

  583. However many? But there is a person you know to

  584. target in an intentional manner, just intentional with the relationship.

  585. Let me see your hand. Okay, good, thank you. Hey,

  586. your work is cut out for It's awesome. You've got

  587. reason to get up every day and to be an

  588. overcomer and to worship God and to read his word

  589. and to be refreshed when you step out of your house. Wow,

  590. such great purpose to know that you're God's answer for

  591. someone you can't help but have a good day even

  592. in the midst of the struggles you do have right now.

  593. Everybody has struggles, Everyone has issues, Everyone has prayers that

  594. they're still praying and believing God to be answered. Let

  595. me just ask this, is there anyone here who has

  596. every prayer answered, and you have no petition before God

  597. and life is just grand one hundred percent. Can I

  598. see your hand? Look around you has your hand up

  599. because we're all in process. So let's step into the

  600. purpose of God even more. And as you do it,

  601. you look and go, well, wait, that's been answer. Well

  602. look there that way where childs come back to the Lord,

  603. because you're in the process of the Lord with every

  604. head up and every eye open. Maybe you need Jesus

  605. today and you're ready to surrender to him. Anyone just

  606. wave your hand at me, want to pray with you.

  607. Anybody you need Jesus, don't leave home without it. How

  608. about that? Or you need to return to him. It'd

  609. be our privilege to pray with you. Anyone didn't desire

  610. the unfilling of the Holy Spirit power for your walk,

  611. we would love to pray with you. To close the service. Amen,

  612. let's stand all over. Thank you for listening. We hope

  613. that you enjoy today's episode. Don't forget to share and

  614. subscribe to this podcast for more. God bless you all.
