  2. of inspiring, heartfelt tagalog sermons from different pastors and speakers

  3. all over the Philippines. We hopen this podcast finds you

  4. in good shame and now here's your message.

  5. Good morning everyone, and thank you again worship team for

  6. that wonderful time that we can come together as a

  7. church and worship. We are now on our fourth week,

  8. and we've decided as Metro Manila, because Psalm twenty three

  9. is so full and just the truth of the Word

  10. of God is just so convicting, we decided as a

  11. whole Metro Manila to add one more week for our

  12. Psalms twenty three as we end by looking at two

  13. verses of Psalm twenty three, Verse five and six, and

  14. we're going through that today. And I do hope and

  15. pray that you have been meditating Psalms twenty three. Palm

  16. twenty three has really been a RESTful song for me

  17. in the past few months, more than two months already,

  18. as I read through Some twenty three, as we sing it,

  19. as my kids now have memorized Some twenty three, all

  20. of us we feel like knowing that the Lord our

  21. yahwehs are shepherd and we lack nothing, and out of

  22. that flows almost everything else that we are experiencing internally

  23. in our hearts and in our soul that hopefully and

  24. eventually would come out in the external. And that's how

  25. the Word of God works. I think there's always that

  26. inner thing, that the internal thing that God does in

  27. our hearts and then later on show it to us

  28. externally through our actions, through our decisions, through our lifestyle.

  29. And that's my prayer and my hope that as your pastor,

  30. as we go through Psalms twenty three, you would get

  31. to see the power of the presence of the Shepherd

  32. as he leads us anywhere, whether it's through quiet waters,

  33. greener pastures, or even through the deepest dark valley. As

  34. what we mentioned last week and today we're going to

  35. end our series on the Psalms twenty three, and Psalms

  36. twenty three says, the Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing,

  37. makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me

  38. beside quiet waters. He refreshes my soul. He guides me

  39. along the right path for His namesake. Even though I

  40. walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil,

  41. for you are with me. Your rod and your staff.

  42. They comfort me, you know. And this was the first

  43. three weeks. As we look through Psalm twenty three, after

  44. passing through the darkest valley with the shepherd right beside us,

  45. what happened next? How did David end this song and

  46. pen this song in the end? And he says in

  47. verse five, you prepare a table before me in the

  48. presence of my enemies. You annoyed my head with oil.

  49. My cup overflows verse six. For sure, your goodness and

  50. love will follow me all the days of my life,

  51. and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

  52. What a wonderful song, such a beautiful song. As we

  53. end Psalms twenty three, as we study through this one,

  54. that God says that the shepherd after through the dark

  55. valley as we pass through, and as we go through

  56. the deepest dark night of our soul and all of

  57. us we might have deep different valleys that we go through.

  58. Some maybe it's because of a sin issue, some it's

  59. a trial, some it's a temptation, some it's this pandemic.

  60. But whatever you're Facingbo says that at the end of

  61. that dark valley, as we pass through the dark valley.

  62. The shepherd prepares a table before us, in the presence

  63. of our enemies. He annoys our head with oil. Our

  64. cup overflows. You know, the shepherd prepares a feast in

  65. the presence of my enemies. I know a lot of

  66. us miss already. The the feasting la green Hills, span

  67. green Hills, sober last grab every time, my party natal

  68. my heeling taio fellowships are green Hills feisting and feasting.

  69. Explain because your favorite fistinas my it means that my

  70. occasional seafood. No. But the shepherd prepares a feast in

  71. the presence of our enemies. But I want you to

  72. see something. In verse five, you prepare a table before

  73. me in the presence of my enemies. You annoyed my

  74. head with oil. My cup overflows twice it was mentioned

  75. it was the shepherd who initiated, right, it's the shepherd

  76. who initiated all this feasting that has happened. And the

  77. message version it says, you serve me. My shepherd served

  78. me a six courts dinner right in front of my enemies.

  79. You revive my drooping head. My cup brims with blessing.

  80. I'm thankful because I serve a God who initiates. I know,

  81. most of the time I'm thinking, is I have to

  82. do this for God to do this? I need to

  83. do good so that God would recognize me. But remember

  84. where the sheep came from. The sheep came from the

  85. darkest night, from the deepest valley. And there might have

  86. been doubts in the dark valley. There might be doubts

  87. that happen, and it might not have been a very

  88. nice experience. Yet after that, who initiates God? You know,

  89. this is the story of the Gospel. It is God

  90. who serves me a six course dinner. He prepares a

  91. feast before me in the presence of my What of

  92. my enemies. I don't know who your enemies are, but

  93. I'm sure my enemy now is COVID nineteen. That virus

  94. is my enemy. The economic crisis that's happened, happening right

  95. now is my enemy. But the Bible says, as I

  96. follow the leading of the shepherd, he will serve me

  97. a six course dinner. He will prepare a table before

  98. me in the presence of my enemies. You know what

  99. this reminds me of the right This this story reminds

  100. me of God's faithfulness. This story just reminds me of

  101. how this God has lavishly loved me. This is the

  102. story of the Gospel, and this is the story that

  103. David wants us to see. I'm showing you this picture

  104. because i want you to see that this shepherd, shepherd

  105. flavor the Lord. He prepares a table before me, a

  106. feast in the presence of my enemies. What is he doing?

  107. What is he saying? He's saying to our enemies, this

  108. is my child, This is my son, This is my daughter.

  109. This is my son who went through the deepest valley.

  110. This was my son who has experienced satisfaction, who has

  111. experienced shalom, who's gone through the deepest valleys and darkest

  112. nights of his life.

  113. Yet I prepare a table feast before his enemy so

  114. that they might see the favor of God that is

  115. upon us. We're going later to pray for favor to

  116. come upon all of us today as we let the

  117. shepherd lead us Yahweh initiates a feast even after going

  118. through the dark valley. Can you know connect comes and

  119. familiar story. It's the story of like the prodigal son

  120. in the New Testament. This son went through the darkest

  121. valley of his life, reveled against the father. But what

  122. did the father do? Every day he looks, is my

  123. son coming back? And when the son came back, this

  124. father ran to his son. And what did he do.

  125. He welcomed his son. And after welcoming his son, he

  126. gave him his robe again and his signet ring. And

  127. he tells them the servants prepare a feast for my son.

  128. This is my son. Oh, this picture, And I want

  129. us to meditate on this picture. There's something about looking

  130. at pictures right for a long time. I want you

  131. to look at this picture with me, and I want

  132. you to feel the presence of the Father. For those

  133. of you who might have attacks of anxiety, for you

  134. who have been battling with worry and fear, I want

  135. you to look at this picture. I want you to

  136. meditate on the love of the Father. The Father welcomes us.

  137. The Father prepares a feast before our enemies, the people

  138. who might have said this prodigal son is no hope,

  139. this prodigal son, his sin is unpardonable. The father prepares

  140. a table a feast. The Bible says that he gave

  141. him the road, the signatory. It is a demonstration of

  142. the heart of a loving father. I just want to

  143. say to everyone, the shepherd God yahweh, our shepherd is

  144. also our loving father. When he talks about the business

  145. of the kingdom, he tells us, but when you pray,

  146. pray like this our father word in heaven. It's the

  147. demonstration of the heart of a loving father, suppresension and

  148. adding patai, you will lack nothing at the very heart

  149. of the Father. As we go through the deepest dark

  150. valleys of our life, at the end of that trial

  151. of that sin, of that backsliding, you can always come home.

  152. Why the shepherd has always been there, Gomeron Constant. It

  153. is the father demonstration, the heart of the loving Father.

  154. You anoint my head with aill, you know what that means.

  155. It shows to us not only the favor, but then

  156. the anointing talks about the spirit of God. And when

  157. we are anointed. When you anoint my head with oil,

  158. you're saying I'm chosen all then you see David Bay

  159. and then he saw David and he anointed David's head

  160. with oil to say he is the chosen one. The

  161. Lord is telling us my son, I in shape, my daughter,

  162. I in shape. I am your Papa shepherd right. And

  163. I annoyed your head with oil because I'm chosen you.

  164. Even though you went through the dark valley. Sometimes you

  165. run away from me, sometimes you revel against me. You

  166. are chosen. I love you so much, and I want

  167. your life to be marked with an overflow of my provision,

  168. of my love, of my grace, and of my favor.

  169. You prepare a table before me in the presence of

  170. my enemies. You annoying my head with oil. The Father

  171. is saying, I am restoring your position back. We are

  172. His sons and his daughters. Whether you put your ma

  173. sheep this obey or your Maha sheep obey. I want

  174. you to know God looks at you, and God loves

  175. you so much, and the presence of God is with us.

  176. He annoys my head with oil. I am anointed of God.

  177. I'm chosen of God. The spirit of God is on me.

  178. See this picture, be amazed the love of the Father.

  179. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the

  180. days of my life, and I will dwell in the

  181. house of the Lord forever. The Bible say, surely, if

  182. it's a bit sido. Surely every day before you wake up,

  183. even before you put on your makeup. Surely, the goodness

  184. or in another translation, the loving kindness. You know, it's

  185. funny because many times young English word it cannot fully

  186. explain the Hebrew word that was used, and the word

  187. loving kindness, goodness and love is the word. He said. Okay, Surely,

  188. he said, will follow me all the days of my life,

  189. and I will dwell in the house of the Lord.

  190. The word has said means covenant loyalty, pre eminently, pre

  191. eminently God's perfect loyalty to his own covenant. What does

  192. this mean? This tells us that God is fiercely loving

  193. and loyal to us, to his own covenant shepherd. Yoo,

  194. I am your shepherd. Surely I will be with you.

  195. My love, my mercy, my grace, will follow you all

  196. the days of your life. You will dwell in my

  197. presence forever, he said. Covenant loyalty. I am loyal to you,

  198. fiercely guide, and I'm going right. That's he said. I'm

  199. laim allow me you Nico. Uh So, some times, you know,

  200. we feel like if there's somebody who's so faithful to

  201. you and you scratch your head, and you say, bang

  202. faithful Sadam. That is his head covenant loyalty pretty imminently.

  203. It's God's perfect loyalty to his own covenant. Because I

  204. said so, not because of your performance. You see, that's

  205. the story of the gospel. It's not because of my performance.

  206. Lord Baha so so ibla bless moro, Lord k janka Alemo.

  207. Even in our darkest night, the Lord is there. The

  208. Lord looks at you. There's always grace. And you know

  209. where he said is actually used Lamentations three twenty two

  210. to twenty three. We sing this all the time. The

  211. steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies are

  212. new every morning. The word steadfast love is the word

  213. he has said, has said of the Lord, his fierce

  214. love and loyalty for you never ceases. In the Rohi

  215. hintu jang, his mercies are new every morning, even before

  216. you wake up. He's there, he said, is there? He

  217. has said, is there? Have you been bad yesterday? That

  218. has said of the Lord never ceases. His mercies are

  219. new every morning. Have you been bad? In twenty nineteen?

  220. That has said, of the Lord never ceases. Have you

  221. not followed his will and not followed his living Psalm

  222. twenty three one. The Lord is my shepherd. I shall

  223. not want you know what he has said never ceases.

  224. He will pursue you until you come to a point

  225. in your life where you follow the shepherd. Why because

  226. he is fiercely loyal to us, and though we are

  227. not loyal to him, he has said changes us. That's

  228. why the people who have experienced that has said of

  229. the Lord, no, something changes. There's a transformation of values

  230. of loyalty, because they've now grasped an experience has said,

  231. what does it mean for us? If truly the Lord

  232. is our shepherd? Imagine mono, how does a life look

  233. like if Yahweh is your shepherd? The Bible says, surely

  234. every morning prior to you waking up, surely that has said,

  235. the steadfast love of the Lord, goodness and mercy will

  236. follow you, will chase after you. His beauty, his love

  237. would chase after me every day of my life. The

  238. message version meron arrow arrow, and sometimes my kids would

  239. do this if if happened. Excited Zila magisinka, excited jehabinka,

  240. Beauty and love chase after me every day of my life.

  241. I'm back home in the House of God for the

  242. rest of my life. Today, I want to encourage all

  243. of you go back, come home. Let the Shepherd guide you.

  244. Let Yahweh be your shepherd. Let Yahweh lead you in

  245. quiet water. Let Yahweh bring you to green pastures. Let

  246. Yahweh be there in the dark night of your soul.

  247. Why because after that, he prepares a table before you,

  248. in the presence of your enemies. He annoys your head

  249. with oil. Your cup overflows. That's your life. John and

  250. Jesus came that I might have life, and have it abundantly.

  251. The thief comes to steal, to kill it, to destroy,

  252. and call Saban the Lord. You will have a party,

  253. will have a fees in the presence of the enemy.

  254. Why because sureley his said will follow me, chase me,

  255. Ah fiercely loyal to me all the days of my life,

  256. and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

  257. I love this. I want to end. We're going to

  258. end our series some twenty three and hope some twenty

  259. three will never be the same to you again. It says,

  260. for a day in your courts is better than a

  261. thousand elsewhere. For a day in the presence of God.

  262. In the house of the Lord is better than a

  263. thousand elsewhere. Imagine that your most favorite place Disneyland, Star City,

  264. Andaan Beach, lockdown for a day in the presence of

  265. God is far better than a thousand elsewhere. David now

  266. pens this. He says, I would rather be a doorkeeper

  267. in the house of my God than dwell in the

  268. tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a son

  269. and shield. The Lord best knows what favor and honor

  270. he annoys my head with oil. No good thing does

  271. he withhold surely goodness and mercy, he said, from those

  272. who walk uprightly. I want to end. I want to

  273. end by saying this to you guys. You know a

  274. single day in the course of God is better than

  275. a thousand elsewhere. And I want you to understand, right.

  276. I want you to be in the presence of our

  277. shepherd Father. Yeah, man, you prayer nomine more than matapusto Sanai.

  278. May we learn that in the presence of God, there's

  279. nothing else that I'm going to look for, nothing else.

  280. The day I look forward to is to be in

  281. the presence of God. And that's not heaven. That's now

  282. that's every day to be in the presence of our

  283. shepherd father, our dad, our dad who restores us, dad

  284. who blesses us, a dad who is fiercely loyal to us.

  285. I don't know how long this would last. I don't

  286. know how far this would go, or the effects of this,

  287. or how long the dark knight will be for us all.

  288. But there's a prayer I pray for our church always.

  289. It is this, that we will do well in the house,

  290. in the presence of our Lord forever. Let the Shepherd

  291. guide us and lead us. I want us to pray

  292. as we am. Just close your eyes, maybe hold some body,

  293. a family member. You want us to pray. I want

  294. to pray Psalm twenty three over everyone. It's such a

  295. powerful prayer. The Lord is a shepherd. I shall not want. Lord,

  296. you make me lie down in green pasture. You lead

  297. me besides still waters. You restore my troubled, disturbed soul.

  298. You lead me in the past of righteousness for your

  299. name's sake, not my name, your namesake. Even though I

  300. walk through the dark valley, I will fear no evil.

  301. Even if that valley is the value of shadow of death.

  302. I will fear no evil. For you are with me.

  303. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare

  304. a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

  305. There's a feast that you have prepared before me. You

  306. annoyed my head with oil. You're saying, you are my father.

  307. I am your son. Thank you, Jesus, you are our father.

  308. We are your sons and daughters. My cup overflows knowing

  309. that you are my abba father, my daddy. My cup overflows. Surely,

  310. just like tomorrow. We're sure there's going to be another day. Surely,

  311. he said, Your loving kindness, your goodness will follow us

  312. all the days of our lives, and we will dwell

  313. in the house of the Lord forever. LOI thank you Lord.

  314. I speak this over our church. I speak this over

  315. everyone listening to this. Let the peace of God be

  316. upon you, that the Shepherd guide you in Jesus lead

  317. me pray. Amen. Thank you for listening. We hope that

  318. you enjoyed today's episode.
