hope so, hallelujah. Let's go to the Book of Acts, Acts,

Chapter one. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Jesus is Lord. We're

going to talk today about after the Holy Spirit, after

the Holy Spirit. Now you might think what could come

after the Holy Spirit, after the Holy Spirit. Well, let's

read here in Acts, chapter one and verse three, Acts

one three, speaking of Jesus' post resurrection appearances. You know,

he rose from the dead, rose from the grave, and

for forty days he appeared to people and noticed what

it says to whom. Also he showed himself alive after

his passion by many infallible proofs. Infallible proofs. I like

that infallible proofs can't prove them wrong. Being seen by

them forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to

the Kingdom of God, and being assembled together with them,

commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem. Now

he had one more message for him. He ad ministered

to them for three three and a half years in

his earthly walk. Then he appeared to them for forty days,

and it said he spoke to them of things pertaining

to the Kingdom of God. And now he's got one

final capstone on it, if you would one final thing

to share with him. And it stands the reason that

this final word is one of the most important, if

not the most important words. I mean, if you were

in that situation, or somebody's their last words are dying,

words are always their most important by and large. And

notice what he said verse four, wait for the promise

of the Father. And we found that the promise of

the Father is speaking specifically of the Holy Spirit, which

saith he you have heard from me. For John truly

baptized with water. Now he said, John baptized you with water.

He fully immersed you in water. You went down into

the water, you came up out of the water. You

were drenched. But he said, now you're going to be

baptized with the Holy Spirit. Not many days from now.

He says, it's time. Do you get fully immersed in

the Holy Spirit, Get fully immersed, get drenched in the

Holy Ghost, be baptized in the Holy Spirit. When they

therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord,

wilt thoubt this time restore again the kingdom to Israel.

And he said to them, it's not for you to

know the times or the seasons in which the Father

has put in his own power. But you shall receive

power after the Holy Spirit, or after King James more,

the original King James says, after that the Holy Spirit,

you shall receive power after that the Holy Spirit, or

after the Holy Spirit is come upon you. So what's

after the Holy Spirit? Power? Power comes from the Holy Ghost.

The Greek word dounamus where we get a word dynamite

from or dynamo, says you'll receive dynamite power, dynamo power,

A dynamo is something that energy energizes and energizing force.

He says, you'll receive power after the Holy Spirit has

come upon you. Now, these people had already received the

Holy Spirit, and Luke he'd breathed on them. These were

his disciples, his followers. He'd breathed on them and said,

receive ye the Holy Ghost. Excuse me and John and

the Gospel of John had said he'd breathed on them

and said, receive ye the Holy Ghost. But now he's

telling them, wait for the promise of the Father and

experience subsequent to that initial receiving of the Holy Spirit.

Wait for that, you'll receive power. Do not almost when

the Holy Ghost comes upon you. It's in the land

of Israel. There is like an early in latter rain.

That early rain is the spirit coming into you. That

latter rain is the spirit coming upon you being drenched

with the Holy Ghost. You shall receive power after that

the Holy Ghost comes upon you, and you shall be

witnesses under me. Now he says here, if you look

at verse seven and eight, he said, it's not for

you to know the times in verse seven, but in

verse eight he says, it is for you to be

baptized in the Holy Ghost, and it is for you

to be a witness under me. He said, it's not

for you to know the times in the seasons, but

it is for you to be baptized in the Holy Ghost,

and it is for you to be a witness unto me.

And that's exactly what happened. And if you go to

Acts chapter two, verse one, when the day of Pentecost

was fully come. There all with one accord in one place,

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, like a

rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where

they were sitting. There appeared under them cloven tongues as

of fire, and sat upon each of them. And they

were all filled, not some, all filled with the Holy Ghost.

And they began to speak with other tongues. They all

began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave

them utterance. The Spirit gives the utterance, and we do

the speaking. The Spirit comes upon us, He baptizes us

with power. Donamos gives us a heavenly prayer language, a

supernatural prayer language, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit

gives us utterance. And there's tremendous, tremendous power in that.

Now go back to Acts one point eight. Notice and

says you shall receive power. Power. In Luke twenty four

forty nine, Jesus had told them, behold, I send the

promise of my Father upon you, but terry ye in

the city of Jerusalem until you be endued with power

from on high, power from on high. He said, wait

for the promise, wait until you be endued with power

from on high? Is this subject of power important? Do

we need power in our lives to successfully live life

in general and even more specifically, to successfully live the

Christian life? We need power in fact, if we're honest,

what Jesus was basically saying, you're not going to be

able to do it without the Holy Spirit power. You're

going to fail miserably, he said told them, and John particularly,

he said, basically, don't worry. I'm leaving, but I'm going

to send the comfort. I'm going to send the Holy Spirit.

He has been. He will be with you, and he'll

be in you. You need power, so Jesus said, in

this last message that he preached, you shall receive power.

Where does the power come from? What the Holy Spirit?

You'll receive power after the Holy Spirit? What's after the

Holy Spirit? The power? Now, if you got a translation

other in King James, that may read when same difference,

You'll receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.

When the Holy Spirit comes, he brings a lot of things,

but one of the things primary things he brings his

power donomos energy, strength, ability, might, miraculous power, moral power,

and excellence, of soul is one of the meanings of

the word donamos moral power and excellence of soul, a

spirit of strength in opposition to a spirit of cowardice.

If you look at the early Church, they were hiding out,

they were afraid, and then after they received the Holy Ghost,

that spirit of power strength, instead of cowardice, they went

out and evangelized the world, changed the world. It only

happened after Pentecost, after the Spirit came upon them with power.

One of the meanings of the word donomos is warlike power,

warlike power. Remember Jesus said, the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence.

The violence take it by force. We need the power

of the Holy Ghost in our lives. It's difficult to

overcome the enemy without it. It's got to make that

illustration of inflation in the tires of your bike. You

can ride a bike without them being fully inflated, but

how much easier it is to have a fully inflated tires,

and you can cruise a whole lot either a whole

lot less effort. I mean, there's been a few times

I've been riding my bike and I didn't realize I

had a slow leak and all a sudden Man, I'm

just struggling, you know. I said, Man, there's a lot

of work, and I look down my tires as like

they're half inflated. But then I get them fully inflated.

I say, whoa, this is the way to go. We

should all want to be fully inflated, if you would.

And the biggest bugaboo for some reason, it's just human

pride to people have is yeah, but can I have

the Holy Spirit without that tongue stuff? Not? If you

understand the importance of tongues. Speak in tongues. It's a

prayer language to God. Bible says the Mate. If we

pray in an unknown tongue, we speak not to men

but to God. And in our spirit we speak mysteries,

divine secrets. It's a tremendous, tremendous, awesome tool. So we

need power and authority. Power and authority. Now, Jesus said

Luke tenth nineteen to twenty. I give you authority to

tread on serpents and scorpions and overall the power of

the enemy. So he's given us authority, and he's also

given us power. Where's the power come from? The Holy Ghost?

You shall receive power. Thank God. We need power, we

need authority, and He's given them to us both. Here's

some quotes to consider. Woodrow Crawle, the author, said this,

with the power of God within us, we need never

fear the powers around us. People maybe not alied, but

many people afraid of the devil, afraid of demons. And

I've had people in the past that say, Hey, you

want to go with me cast the devil out of somebody. Oh,

I know, I don't think so I got something I

gotta do. What are you afraid of? Devil was afraid

of you if you knew it. With the power of

God within us, we need never fear the powers around us.

John Rice said, you cannot do God's work without God's power.

You cannot do God's work without God's power. Hudson Taylor,

the Great Missionary, said this, Many Christians estimate difficulty in

the light of their own resources, and thus they attempt

very little, and they always fail. All giants giants in

the faith have been weak men who did great things

for God because they reckoned on His power and presence

to be with them. They reckoned on His power and

his presence to be with them. The Word of God

has much to say about power. Let's look at some

scripture here. We'll have them on this screen for time's sake.

You could jock these down. Matthew twenty two, twenty nine.

One of my favorite verses. Jesus answered and said to them,

you do air not knowing the scriptures. But don't forget

that second part. You know, well, you know, people fall

into air because they don't know the Bible, But why

do they err? Also, it says you don't know the scriptures,

and you don't know the power of God. You do

air not knowing the scriptures or the dunomos of God.

You fall into air when you don't know the scriptures,

when you don't know the power of God. Ephesians one,

nineteen Paul praised this for the church, for us that

we would know what is the exceeding greatness of His power,

his dunamous to us who believe we are to know

the exceeding greatness of His power, to us word who

believe according to the working of His mighty power. It's

actually a different Greek word for the word power the

second time, but it's the same idea, same concept. He says,

we are to know the exceeding greatness of his power.

And it's according to the work of his mighty power.

Phesians three seven talks about the effectual working of his power.

Then look at Phesians three sixteen, that he would grant you,

according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened

with might. That word might is the word dunamos power

to be strengthened with might, with power by His spirit

in your inner man. God wants you and I to

be strengthened, quickened with might, with power, with donomals energy, strength, ability,

miraculous power in our inner man. Hallelujah. Remember in the

Gospels Jesus would call his disciples together and give them

power and authority. Power and authority. We are his disciples.

He wants in part power and authority to us. Listen

to Romans fifteen thirteen. Now, the God of Hope fill

you with all joy and peace, and believing that you

may bound in hope through the power of the Holy Ghost.

The power of the Holy Ghost. Where to bound in

hope through the power of the Holy Ghost. All right,

look at Ephesians three twenty. That'll be on the screen now.

Unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above

all that we ask or think, according to the power

the Donrmos that works in us. Well, how am I

going to get this power? You shall receive power after

the Holy Ghost comes upon you. They'd already received the

Holy Spirit in the new birth. But he said there's

an experience subsequent to the new birth, the baptism in

the Holy Ghost. Said you'll receive power. Do normos. And

he says that God's able to do exceeding abundantly above

all you ask or think. According to that, do normals

and according to that power that works in you. The

devil has sold the Church to lie by trying to

minimize to them the work of the Holy Spirit, try

and talk them out of the baptism of the Holy Spirit,

trying to talk them out of their heavenly prayer. Languine say, oh,

it's passed away for today. It's fanaticism. It's extreme. You know,

much of the church world is bound by intellectualism. Their

Christianity is just all about getting head knowledge and learning.

There's nothing wrong with learning. You do air not knowing

the scriptures. People perish for lack of knowledge, but knowledge

puffs up and love edifies we need more than just

head knowledge, we need heart knowledge, and we need power too.

Many times people's Christianity is just about an acknowledgment of facts.

Oh yes, I believe this, and I believe this, But

they don't experience the power. They don't experience the working

of the Holy Spirit, the moving of the Holy Spirit,

the Spirit speaking to them. Their prayer life is very

weak because they don't have that heavenly prayer language. Or

Paul say, if I pray in an unknown tongue, my

spirit prays say. If I pray in an unknown tongue,

I talk to God, he said in First Crinking fourteen four.

If I pray non no tongue, I build myself up,

I charge myself up. Power. Power, there is power, wonderworking power. Hallelujah.

Look at the Ephesians six', ten finding my, brethren be

strong in The lord and in the power of his.

Might the donamos were to be strong in that, power

strong in that donomos. Power when does the power come

after The Holy spirit comes upon You philippians three, ten

THAT i may Know him and the, power the donomos

of his, resurrection his resurrection imputed power on. Us do

normos undo us, strength, ability, might and the fellowship of his,

sufferings being made conformable to his, death saying where to

live a life's crucified to self and the ego and the,

pride and live for him in the power of his.

Resurrection Two timothy one. Seven For god has not given

us the spirit of, fear but of. Power actually be

given us a spirit of, power love and a sound.

Mind god's into this power thing we ought to be.

Too he's given us a spirit of, power not of.

FEAR a lot of people are bound by, fear fear

of stepping, out fear of Believing, god fear of, witnessing

fear of sharing their, faith fear of The Holy. Spirit

god has not given us a spirit of, fear but of.

Power have we died to give us the spirit of?

Power you shall receive power when The Holy ghost comes upon,

you and of love and of a south on. Mine,

not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of Our, lord

according to the donamos Of. God according to the power Of,

god you have to be. Opposition you have to be,

persecution he. Said but you can stand, it and you

can overcome. It in the power Of. God you shall

receive power when The holy ghost comes upon. You glory To. God,

now before we end, today we'll look at some power

sources in The word Of god or all That jesus

has provided the. Power we just need to take it

advantage of the power sources That he's given. US i,

MEAN i could stand here in the dark with a

lamp and bemoan my lack of. LIGHT i could, say,

Oh i'm So i'm in the. Dark i'm stumbling into

things and hitting my knee and tripping over. Things IF

i just had some power THAT i could plug into

and get some, light and somebody'd, say, well there's outlets all,

around plug into one of them and you'll have. Power

the power's, there it's, there there's power there's an outlet

right over here by this. Door you can see it

by the light. Switches there's. Power you can't tell there's

power in, there but stick your finger in that. Socket

you'll find out there's power in. There, jim would you

and he, said something's got to be, wrong and he

Was i'm, thinking what kind of church did this guy go?

To but then it came out it was one of

the mainline. Denominations and he just talked about no, power

just a form of. Godliness he, said we'd go every

week and we would sit there and we'd list and

we'd get a lot of head, knowledge but there was

no power in our, lives no power to overcome sin or,

temptation or have a good, marriage or live victorious on the.

Job he talked about on the, job he'd felt like

he was such a. Hypocrite he'd go to. Church he'd

be one way On sunday, morning and the rest of the

week he'd be another. Way he'd lose his temper and

he'd get, mad and he'd let curse words out and

all this. Stuff he, said he felt, like you, know

he's two different. People he lacked the. Power AND i, thought,

oh and he said it in the, book AND i

thinking the same. Thing he, said there are, thousands maybe

tens or hundreds of thousands in that same. Boat they

lack the. Power we need the new, wine the new

wine of The Holy. Ghost he, said you can't put

new wine and old wine. Skins you got to put

new wine and new wine. Skins, hallelujah there's. POWER a

lot of people have a form of, godliness but they

deny the power. Thereof then look at Two peter one to.

Three according as his divine, power His dnomos has given

undo us all things that pertain unto life and godliness

through the knowledge Of him that has called us the

a Passive, okay Well i'll just receive. This he's, saying

Amplified but you shall receive, power, ability, efficiency and might

lack of power in their. Lives how many Good christians

feel they lack power in their? Lives they JUST i lack.

POWER i just feel LIKE i don't have much. Power

share their, faith to be a witness on the job

in the, neighborhood in the. Home we lack that power

of The Holy. Ghost if that's the, case so he,

Sometimes But jesus, said if you asked The, father he's

going to give you what you asked. For he, said
