Welcome Just hind Away Tagalog Sermon podcast, your daily dose
-
of inspiring from heartfelt tagalog sermons from different pastors and
-
speakers all over the Philippines. We hope that this podcast
-
finds you in good shame and now here's your message.
-
Says now. The birth of Jesus Christ was as follows.
-
After his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they
-
came together, she was found the child of the Holy Spirit.
-
Then Joseph, her husband, being a just man and not
-
wanting to make her a public example, was minded to
-
put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold,
-
an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph,
-
son of David, do not be afraid to take to you.
-
Marry your wife, for that which is conceived in her
-
is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth
-
a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for
-
he will save his people from their sins. So all
-
this was done that it might be fulfilled, which was
-
spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, behold, the
-
Virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and
-
they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is translated God
-
with Us Emmanuel, Emmanuel, God with Us, an announcement bursting
-
with meaning beyond anything any one of us could think,
-
hope or imagine. God with us, a declaration pregnant with
-
possibilities and promise. God with Us Emmanuel, a pronouncement of favor,
-
blessing and eternal kindness. A word greater than any word, Emmanuel,
-
greater than brokenness, greater than doubt, greater than fear, greater
-
than bondage, greater than oppression. Emmanuel. One word that outshines
-
all other words, outshines darkness, outshines deception, outsigns degradation outshines fear,
-
outshines evil. God with Us a single utterance that brings
-
freedom and forgiveness, deliverance and rescue, hope, help, healing. God
-
can say more in one word than we can in
-
a whole speech, or a whole sermon, or a whole soliloquy.
-
One word Emmanuel, God with Us, a strong and rock
-
solid statement that God is with us, not only with us,
-
but for us and in us. If we are saved.
-
So many are deceived and in darkness in believing a lie,
-
the lie that we don't need God. The good news
-
is the only Hope of the world we shared last
-
week about sharing the good news. In fact, if you
-
didn't get one of those handouts last week those five questions,
-
ask people with the ushers, just go ahead and if
-
you didn't get one, raise your hand because I want
-
you to have one, or if you want to second one.
-
I think we got a few there, but I'd like
-
everybody to have one of these, because so many times
-
we don't share the good news, and this makes it
-
so easy. These five questions that we went over, it's
-
the only hope of the world. Five questions that I
-
encourage you to take and memorize and need some more
-
over here allan so take those, and you know the
-
beauty of those I don't want to reiterate them a lot.
-
You can look at them on your own. But the
-
beauty of those questions is, no matter how people answer,
-
you're not stopped in your witness, You're not hindered in
-
your witness. It doesn't matter what they answer. You know,
-
the first quest question is do you have any spiritual beliefs?
-
And they could say no, doesn't stop me. You can
-
move on to the next one to you who is Jesus?
-
I don't know what do you think happens after death?
-
Nobody knows. I could care less. If you were to
-
die and stand before God and he were to ask you,
-
why should I let you into heaven? What would you say?
-
I don't know. I'm giving the worst case scenario. If
-
somebody could give you I don't know, if you were
-
actually wrong, would you want to know? And even if
-
they say there nope, say all right, have a good day,
-
God bless you. You've planted a seed, You've put a
-
stone in their shoe, as we talked about. But they
-
may say, when you get that last question, well, if
-
you actually were wrong and one, would you want to know? Oh?
-
I guess so yeah, I think I would. So simple,
-
yet so profound Verse twenty one again, and she shall
-
bring forth the son, and you shall call his name Jesus,
-
for he will save his people from their sins. Verse
-
twenty three. Behold, the Virgin shall be with child and
-
bears's son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which
-
is God. With us such a powerful word, such a
-
powerful promise, with us is God is the literal interpretation,
-
with us is God. We'll have that. Go ahead and
-
put that on the screen. I've got some things about
-
Emmanuel here, but literally it's with us is God. Matthew
-
is quoting from Isaiah the prophet seven hundred years earlier.
-
Four hundred years of silence from the close of the
-
Old Testament to the beginning of the New Testament. Think
-
that four hundred years of silence, no prophetic utterance, no
-
word from God, and all of a sudden the silence
-
is broken with a word. Emmanuel with us as God.
-
God is with us. The theological word Book of the
-
Old Testament says, Emmanuel is a name. That quote sums
-
up the past, present and future intimate relationship of God's
-
presence with his people. Emmanuel, that's what God desires relationship, says.
-
It sums up the past, present and future intimate relationship
-
of God's prayer with his people. He didn't have to come,
-
but he came God with us, God with us. The
-
Passion translation reads this way God became one of us.
-
God became one of us, and he did the Word
-
was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld
-
his glory. The glory is of the only begotten of
-
the Father, full of grace and truth. John told us,
-
and I think one of the saddest verses in the Bible.
-
It said he came to his own, and his own
-
received him not, and the light shines in the darkness,
-
and the darkness did not accept it because their deeds
-
were evil. But he came, He came to his own.
-
God became one of us so we could know him.
-
Art link Letter was interviewing a little boy. Some of
-
the old younger people may not know who art link
-
letter is. I hope mostly know art link letter is.
-
But he used to have a show where he'd interview children.
-
It was great, great comedy and great lessons. But he
-
asked a little boy was drawing feverishly, and he went
-
up to this boy, and he said to the boy,
-
young boy, what are you drawing. He said, well, I'm
-
drawing God. He said, you can't draw God. Nobody knows
-
what he looks like. And the little boy said, they
-
will when I'm done. But you know, in a very
-
real sense, you can't draw God. You can't explain God.
-
Nobody knows what he looks like, what he's like. They
-
will when this is done, they will when Emanuel has come.
-
Jesus was the exit Jesus of God. Jesus said, if
-
you've seen me, You've seen the Father. Jesus came to
-
explain the Father, to interpret the Father, to lead him
-
out behind the curtain of invisibility. Said, this is what
-
God is like. This is who God is. He's a
-
good God, He's a loving father. You can pray to him,
-
our father, who are in heaven. You can have intimacy,
-
intimacy with him, relationship with him. Nobody knew what God
-
was really like, but we can once Jesus has come,
-
once we get into the scriptures and discover the truth.
-
The title Emmanuel, according to the Spirit Filled Life Bible,
-
assures God's participation in bringing about the deliverance of his people.
-
Who Emmanuel. It assures God's participation in bringing about the
-
deliverance of his people. Whatever you may need delivered from,
-
whatever you need healing from whatever brokenness there may be,
-
or bondage or oppression. Emmanuel, God with us. He came
-
to deliver us. The name declares the presence of God
-
with his people in a new altogether, in a way,
-
altogether new God with us, God with us. The name
-
was meant to convince us that God could and would
-
rescue us from our enemies. It was the greatest gift.
-
We need no other, Well, we think we do. We
-
think we need this, we need that, and I wish
-
I had that, and I need If we discover Emanuel,
-
we've discovered the greatest gift and we really need no other.
-
We've got everything we need. Look at Isaiah eight ten.
-
We'll have it on the screen here. Notice what God says.
-
Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted. Propose your plan,
-
but it will not stand. For God is with us Emmanuel.
-
No matter God said you, go ahead. People can have
-
their strategy against you. It's going to be thwarted. They
-
can have their plan against you. It's not going to stand.
-
Why because Emmanuel, God is with you. God is with you.
-
Look at the passion translation. Go ahead, hatch a plot,
-
but it will be foiled. Go ahead, speak a word,
-
but it will not stand. For Emmanuel. God is with us.
-
God is with us. And that's what it says in
-
the Hebrew Emanuel, God is with us. I read or heard,
-
I forget what it was they said, basically about three
-
hundred times in the Bible. The references made to God
-
being with us, not those exact words, but God for us,
-
God with us, God in us, God on our side,
-
God acting in our behalf. Go ahead, hatch a plot,
-
but it'll be foiled. Go ahead, speak a word. It
-
will not stand. Emmanuel. It's a name that brings healing
-
to the broken hearted, deliverance to the captives, recovery of
-
sight to the blind, and sets at liberty those who
-
are bruised. The light shines in the darkness. I think
-
it's more than coincidence that Christmas comes right after the
-
darkest night of the year, the winter solstice, which we
-
just had, and right after the darkest night. Emmanuel comes
-
right after your darkest hour, right after your darkest time.
-
Emmanuel is there, God with us, God with us. See,
-
as Christians, we don't just believe in some things. We
-
believe in some We don't just have these tenets of faith.
-
Well I believe this and this is my doctrine. We
-
don't just believe in some things. We believe in someone,
-
someone who is actually here, closer than our next breath. Emmanuel,
-
God with us, not some idea or philosophy or even
-
some theology. Someone. He has come to us. He is here.
-
We are not alone, or rather, we do not have
-
to be alone. He is with us. Emmanuel, one word
-
greater than all words, one word that heals all wounds,
-
all brokenness, all sorrow, all grief, all mourning. He's with
-
us in the pain. He's with us in the bitterness,
-
with us in the brokenness. He's with us in the suffering.
-
He's with us in the aloneentness. Emmanuel, God with us,
-
God with uh Us. Think about it. He's with us
-
in the death of a child, the loss of a
-
loved one, the tests and trials of life, the rejection,
-
the emptiness, the disappointment, the failures, the brokenness. His provision.
-
Think about this. His provision always exceeds your need. His
-
provision always exceeds your need. When they were in the wilderness,
-
his provision exceeded their need. Not only did he feed
-
them daily and provide water for them daily, their clothes
-
never ran out, never wore out. None of them was feeble,
-
none of them was sick. When Jesus fed to five
-
thousand to four thousand, there were baskets left over. He's
-
able to do, exceeding abundantly, above and beyond all you
-
can ask, think or imagine. His provision always exceeds your need.
-
Emmanuel God Yahweh with us the name that brings real
-
peace and true contentment, purpose and meaning in our lives.
-
I read one author this week that said, this is
-
anything you're doing here adding up to anything that matters.
-
You ever think that I do do? Not anything? Is
-
anything I'm doing really to anything that matters? And I
-
know that's easy to think that when you're going in
-
on in a factory or something like that. It's just like,
-
is anything I'm doing adding up to anything that matters?
-
And this author said, is anything you're doing here adding
-
up to anything that matters? And in the end, is
-
what you've chosen ultimately about Christ and his kingdom. If not,
-
then no matter what you've chosen, it won't matter at all.
-
Your time is limited. So don't limit your life profound thoughts.
-
We want to matter, We want to make a difference.
-
Look at verse twenty one again. And she shall bring
-
forth the sun, and you shall call his name Jesus,
-
Jesus Yehashaah. The Lord is salvation. Jesus is the translation
-
of the Hebrew Joshua or Yehashawa or Yahweh is salvation.
-
Yahweh is salvation, healing, deliverance, preservation, protection, soundness. God is
-
all those things, and it's in the name of Jesus.
-
Jesus Yahweh is salvation, healing, deliverance, preservation, soundness, protection. He
-
shall save us from our sins. Jesus came to Earth
-
to save us because we can't save ourselves. Drowning man
-
cannot save himself. And somebody that rescues a drowning person,
-
the one thing they wish that drowning person would do
-
would just stop struggling and let go and relax so
-
I can rescue you. Stop trying to rescue yourself. The
-
drowning person just needs to let that person that's come
-
to rescue them do that rescue them. Jesus came to
-
rescue us because we cannot rescue ourselves. We cannot save
-
ourselves from sin and its consequences. No matter how good
-
we are, we can't eliminate sin and its consequences without
-
our being born from above, redeemed, renewed. Look at Matthew
-
one twenty one in the amplified we'll have it on
-
the screen here. He Jesus, will save his people from
-
their sins, that is, prevent them from failing and missing
-
the true end and scope of life, which is God.
-
That's why he came. He came to save us from
-
our sins and prevent us from failing and missing the
-
true end and scope of life, which is God, for
-
He will save his people from their sins. The words
-
save the Greek word sodso so z o, and it
-
means this according to this is from Dake's Annotated Reference Bible.
-
He said, the word soso has used one hundred and
-
ten times in the New Testament of salvation. Sin, danger,
-
spiritual conflict, sickness, hell, and slavery. That's what you and
-
I are saved from. Yahweh is salvation Jesus. He came
-
to save us from sin, danger, spiritual conflict, sickness, hell,
-
and slavery. Glory to God. That's worth rejoicing about. That's
-
worth shouting about. That's what's getting excited about. Emmanuel symbolizes
-
the presence of God to deliver his people, to give
-
us the victory and cause us to triumph. Symbolizes His
-
presence to deliver us. I want to have Jeff come
-
up here right now and share a testimony that just
-
happened in his life, heard it with me. After prayer
-
on Wednesday morning, he had gone down south to see
-
his mom, and I said, man, you got to tell that.
-
So I hope you can tell it as good as
-
you told me, because that was some powerful stuff. I
-
hope it edified I was.
-
I was scheduled last Sunday night to go to my
-
mom's place and visit. So I left Manchester and the
-
conditions were great, perfect, So I on my way down,
-
I was listened to a really good teaching from Kenneth
-
Hagen and it was about Kenneth Hagen was talking about
-
how the woman with the issue of blood was an
-
example for believers on how they could receive from God
-
and the three lessons or steps that took place with
-
a woman with issue of blood was she said, then
-
she acted on what she had said, then she had
-
received from Jesus, and then she told So, I'm glad today.
-
I'm glad that I can tell something. That's what I'm doing.
-
I'm telling So I was on the north side of Indianapolis,
-
and I was in the presence of God. I had
-
listened to that message and it was rich. And I'm
-
on the north side of Indianapolis where it's four lanes
-
one way, and all of a sudden, I find myself
-
going perpendicular to the traffic, and there was no traffic
-
for me to hit, thankfully, So I was sliding perpendicular
-
to the direction of the road, and I cried out Jesus,
-
and he was I was, like I say, I was
-
in his presence. So anyway, I got all the way
-
over to that edge of the road, and all this
-
takes like a second, but I got all the way
-
over to the edge of the road, and I could
-
kind of just see over where I was headed, and
-
it was a long ways down. It was probably, oh,
-
i'd guess, fifteen feet a bank that the road was
-
built up on. So I was just right at the edge,
-
and all of a sudden I was straightened out and
-
just headed on my way to Mom's. I got so's oed.
-
Amen, Hallelujah, as saying he was telling me Wednesday that
-
that and bank went. That cliff was so steep. He
-
said it could have killed me. One word, Jesus shall
-
save his people. Hallelujah, God with us, the Lord saves.
-
Read this with me will be on the screen. There
-
are thirty nine books in the Old Testament and twenty
-
seven books in the New Testament. The word Testament means
-
covenant or promise. The Bible constantly tells us, in one
-
form or another, that God is with us. It's a covenant.
-
It's a promise, not just words on a page, not
-
just platitudes. It's a covenant. It's a promise. God is
-
with us. Emmanuel. The whole word of God tells us,
-
tells how God is with us. He knows we are
-
not perfect, and He does not expect us to be.
-
But if we ask for forgiveness at any time, God
-
will forgive us. He is always everywhere and always with us.
-
If we ask for forgiveness and really mean it, God
-
must and will forgive us instantly and forever, never to
-
remember those shortcomings again. We can do this because God
-
is with us always. He promises, He covenants with us,
-
to be with us, not only with us, but for us,
-
not only for us, but in us. Let's look at
-
one more scripture. Go to Hebrews chapter thirteen. We'll read
-
it first in the New King James, and we'll look
-
at it in the Amplified Bible. Hebrews chapter thirteen, Verse
-
five and six. Let your conduct be without covetousness, Be
-
content with such things as you have for he himself
-
has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.
-
So we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper.
-
I will not fear. What can man do to me?
-
He himself has said it so that we should then
-
boldly say it. Whatever God has said, whether it be
-
this verse or other verses, we need to boldly say it.
-
He has said, by my stripes, you're healed. We need
-
to say, bias stripes, I was healed. He has said
-
I'll never leave you, nor forsake you. We need to
-
say he will never leave me nor forsaking. He has said,
-
the Lord is our shepherd. We shall not want. We
-
need to say the Lord is my shepherd. I shall
-
not want. We need to say it now just think
-
it or dream about it, or imagine it. We need
-
to say it so that he has said so that
-
we may boldly say it. Doesn't get any clearer than
-
that death and life are in the power of the tongue.
-
If you have faith, you will say, they said, increase
-
our faith, and Jesus that if you have faith, you
-
will say. If you have faith, you will say what
-
God says. We're not just saying things we make up
-
or positive things or things that sound good. We're saying
-
what God says because there's power and anointing in his word.
-
Just like Jesus did when he was tempted, he just said,
-
it is written, It is written, it is written. He
-
spoke the word. When you face the trials of life,
-
speak the word. Now look at it in the ampied
-
and it brings out what's actually in the Greek or
-
is a triple negative here, And it says this, let
-
marriage verse five, Let your character or moral disposition be
-
free from love of money, including greed, avarice, lust, and
-
craving for earthly possessions. Or you could stop and preach
-
right there and be satisfied with your present circumstances and
-
with what you have. You can preach your whole sermon
-
right there. For he God himself has said, I'll noticed this.
-
He God himself has said, I will not in any
-
way fail you, nor give you up, nor leave you
-
without support. It's a covenant. It's a promise. I will
-
not in any way fail you, nor give you up,
-
nor leave you without support. Emanuel God with us, and
-
it goes on, I will not, I will not, I
-
will not in any degree leave you helpless. That's what
-
how it reads in the Greek. It's a triple negative there,
-
I will not, I will not, I will not. Why
-
would God emphasize it so strongly because he knew we'd
-
have trouble believing it. I guess I will not. I
-
will not. I will not in any degree leave you helpless,
-
nor forsake, nor let you down, nor relax my hold
-
on you. We think we're holding on to God. He's
-
holding on to us assuredly not. I will not. I
-
will not. I will not let you down. I will
-
not leave you. I will not forsake you. I will
-
not let you go. The passion translation reads this way,
-
for hasn't he promised you I will never leave you alone? Never,
-
and I will not loosen my grip on your life.
-
Close your eyes and think about that as I read
-
it again. Hasn't he promised you I will never leave
-
you alone, never, and I will not loosen my grip
-
on your life. Father, We praise you today that you
-
will never leave us alone. You will not, you will not.
-
You will not forsake us, turn from us, relax your
-
hold on us. You will never leave us, You will
-
never forsake us. We can boldly say the Lord is
-
my helper. The Lord is the strength of my life.
-
The Lord is my deliverer. The Lord is my healer.
-
The Lord is my redeemer. The Lord is my shepherd.
-
The Lord is my strong power. The Lord is my rock,
-
my shield. The Lord is my all and all. We
-
can boldly say that because you have said it, and
-
you will never leave us nor forsake us. Lord, I
-
pray that that truth would be so real to each
-
and every one of us. Emmanuel, God with us, to
-
save us from ourselves, to save us from sin, Save
-
us from the consequence of and save us from this
-
wicked world. Save us from the wiles of the evil One,
-
save us from the lies of the enemy, and heal us,
-
and deliver us, and protect us, and provide for us.
-
He will, He'll deliver, set free and make all his
-
people yahweh is salvation. Lord. I pray that this Christmas,
-
in this coming new Year, that reality, that truth will
-
be blazed into our souls and into our hearts and
-
into our minds. God is with us, God is for us.
-
God is in us, in the person of Jesus Christ,
-
to the Holy Spirit. He came to save, heal, deliver,
-
set free, make whole, he will be with us. We
-
want to close with the song. It's a powerful song.
-
If you want to sing along, you can. If you
-
just want to sit listen to it, or sit and
-
you can close your eyes and listen to it. The
-
child is I will be with you. I never heard
-
this song before. When Penny and I and our family
-
left California after living there eighteen years and pastoring the
-
church we'd found there almost fourteen years, the praise and
-
worship team sang this song to me to us as
-
we were leaving after fourteen years, and I thought, man,
-
it's such a good, powerful song, and it came back
-
to me in preparing this message. So just let this
-
minister to you. I will be with you. Join the day.
-
Your craft for versing that goles mind name now, for.
-
I'll be I will be with you.
-
I will be with you.
-
For that's who I.
-
Will be with you.
-
I'll be on your side.
-
Your fair fourteen friends will be tonight. I'll find the
-
back the en call my end. Well.
-
I will be with you.
-
I will be.
-
With you to the end of you.
-
I will be miss you. I will be with you now,
-
my God, I'll be bo.
-
I will be with you.
-
I will get away you or got you b I
-
will be amay you.
-
It's gonna need to fish I then they haul you.
-
With the word.
-
You're not fissing mine. I time.
-
I will be away you.
-
I will get away you, gonna sign am.
-
I will be awake you.
-
I will be with you, gonna sign am. I'll brisbee
-
where it's you. I'm walking beside.
-
I'm here to guys.
-
O your.
-
I have a story.
-
Let's put your fight me. Hey man, let's stand. That's
-
the true meaning of the rainbow. Hallelujah. You know one
-
other aspect of that that we didn't look at. But
-
it says you will call his name Emmanuel, which means
-
God with us. But if you know it's we don't
-
call him Emmanuel. We don't say, let's let's pray to
-
Emmanuel right now, or we don't we don't say, oh, Emmanuel.
-
What is his name? His name is Jesus. So here's
-
another aspect of that. You'll call his name Jesus Emmanuel,
-
God is with us. The name Jesus means God is
-
with us. Then say then say you will name him Emanuel.
-
Modern translations some of them tend to read that way,
-
but the literal doesn't read that says you'll call his
-
name Emmanuel, not his name is he. You'll call his
-
name Jesus Emmanuel. When you call on that name, as
-
we heard the testimony, you call on that name. God
-
is with you. Hallelujah, Emmanuel Father, We thank you. You
-
are with us. You'll never leave us, You'll never forsake us.
-
We do pray as we gather with family and loved
-
ones this week, Lord God, that we would shine for
-
you your love would radiate through us. We continue to
-
believe and thank you for household salvation. Lord, for each
-
and everyone, our parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters. We
-
pray for household salvation, people being saved for the first time,
-
or delivered from backsliding, or being prodigals, or being deceived
-
and deluded and off the track. Lord God, we pray
-
and believe for a household salvation. And we thank you
-
for Lord God, and use us to share the good news.
-
To ask those five questions, to be salt, to be light,
-
to be your ambassadors, to be your ministers of reconciliation,
-
to be your witnesses, to be labors in the harvest.
-
There is no Plan B it's us. So, Lord, I
-
pray for divine appointments for each and every one of
-
us in this coming year to share your love, to
-
set people free from believing the lie and being deceived
-
and in darkness, even if they think they're okay, that
-
they would realize they need a savior they can't save themselves. Lord,
-
I pray for holy boldness and divine compassion for each
-
and every one of us to reach out to those
-
in need, maybe whether it be at work or in
-
our neighborhood, or in the marketplace or casual acquaintances. Lord,
-
your love, your light, your truth would shine through us
-
in Jesus' name. If you agree with that, say amen. Amen. Reminder,
-
no service this Wednesday or next Wednesday, but we will
-
be here next Sunday. Tell us some people as you leave.
-
God is with us. God is with us, Callelijah. Thank
-
you for listening.
