  1. Welcome Just hind Away Tagalog Sermon podcast, your daily dose

  2. of inspiring from heartfelt tagalog sermons from different pastors and

  3. speakers all over the Philippines. We hope that this podcast

  4. finds you in good shame and now here's your message.

  5. Says now. The birth of Jesus Christ was as follows.

  6. After his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they

  7. came together, she was found the child of the Holy Spirit.

  8. Then Joseph, her husband, being a just man and not

  9. wanting to make her a public example, was minded to

  10. put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold,

  11. an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph,

  12. son of David, do not be afraid to take to you.

  13. Marry your wife, for that which is conceived in her

  14. is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth

  15. a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for

  16. he will save his people from their sins. So all

  17. this was done that it might be fulfilled, which was

  18. spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, behold, the

  19. Virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and

  20. they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is translated God

  21. with Us Emmanuel, Emmanuel, God with Us, an announcement bursting

  22. with meaning beyond anything any one of us could think,

  23. hope or imagine. God with us, a declaration pregnant with

  24. possibilities and promise. God with Us Emmanuel, a pronouncement of favor,

  25. blessing and eternal kindness. A word greater than any word, Emmanuel,

  26. greater than brokenness, greater than doubt, greater than fear, greater

  27. than bondage, greater than oppression. Emmanuel. One word that outshines

  28. all other words, outshines darkness, outshines deception, outsigns degradation outshines fear,

  29. outshines evil. God with Us a single utterance that brings

  30. freedom and forgiveness, deliverance and rescue, hope, help, healing. God

  31. can say more in one word than we can in

  32. a whole speech, or a whole sermon, or a whole soliloquy.

  33. One word Emmanuel, God with Us, a strong and rock

  34. solid statement that God is with us, not only with us,

  35. but for us and in us. If we are saved.

  36. So many are deceived and in darkness in believing a lie,

  37. the lie that we don't need God. The good news

  38. is the only Hope of the world we shared last

  39. week about sharing the good news. In fact, if you

  40. didn't get one of those handouts last week those five questions,

  41. ask people with the ushers, just go ahead and if

  42. you didn't get one, raise your hand because I want

  43. you to have one, or if you want to second one.

  44. I think we got a few there, but I'd like

  45. everybody to have one of these, because so many times

  46. we don't share the good news, and this makes it

  47. so easy. These five questions that we went over, it's

  48. the only hope of the world. Five questions that I

  49. encourage you to take and memorize and need some more

  50. over here allan so take those, and you know the

  51. beauty of those I don't want to reiterate them a lot.

  52. You can look at them on your own. But the

  53. beauty of those questions is, no matter how people answer,

  54. you're not stopped in your witness, You're not hindered in

  55. your witness. It doesn't matter what they answer. You know,

  56. the first quest question is do you have any spiritual beliefs?

  57. And they could say no, doesn't stop me. You can

  58. move on to the next one to you who is Jesus?

  59. I don't know what do you think happens after death?

  60. Nobody knows. I could care less. If you were to

  61. die and stand before God and he were to ask you,

  62. why should I let you into heaven? What would you say?

  63. I don't know. I'm giving the worst case scenario. If

  64. somebody could give you I don't know, if you were

  65. actually wrong, would you want to know? And even if

  66. they say there nope, say all right, have a good day,

  67. God bless you. You've planted a seed, You've put a

  68. stone in their shoe, as we talked about. But they

  69. may say, when you get that last question, well, if

  70. you actually were wrong and one, would you want to know? Oh?

  71. I guess so yeah, I think I would. So simple,

  72. yet so profound Verse twenty one again, and she shall

  73. bring forth the son, and you shall call his name Jesus,

  74. for he will save his people from their sins. Verse

  75. twenty three. Behold, the Virgin shall be with child and

  76. bears's son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which

  77. is God. With us such a powerful word, such a

  78. powerful promise, with us is God is the literal interpretation,

  79. with us is God. We'll have that. Go ahead and

  80. put that on the screen. I've got some things about

  81. Emmanuel here, but literally it's with us is God. Matthew

  82. is quoting from Isaiah the prophet seven hundred years earlier.

  83. Four hundred years of silence from the close of the

  84. Old Testament to the beginning of the New Testament. Think

  85. that four hundred years of silence, no prophetic utterance, no

  86. word from God, and all of a sudden the silence

  87. is broken with a word. Emmanuel with us as God.

  88. God is with us. The theological word Book of the

  89. Old Testament says, Emmanuel is a name. That quote sums

  90. up the past, present and future intimate relationship of God's

  91. presence with his people. Emmanuel, that's what God desires relationship, says.

  92. It sums up the past, present and future intimate relationship

  93. of God's prayer with his people. He didn't have to come,

  94. but he came God with us, God with us. The

  95. Passion translation reads this way God became one of us.

  96. God became one of us, and he did the Word

  97. was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld

  98. his glory. The glory is of the only begotten of

  99. the Father, full of grace and truth. John told us,

  100. and I think one of the saddest verses in the Bible.

  101. It said he came to his own, and his own

  102. received him not, and the light shines in the darkness,

  103. and the darkness did not accept it because their deeds

  104. were evil. But he came, He came to his own.

  105. God became one of us so we could know him.

  106. Art link Letter was interviewing a little boy. Some of

  107. the old younger people may not know who art link

  108. letter is. I hope mostly know art link letter is.

  109. But he used to have a show where he'd interview children.

  110. It was great, great comedy and great lessons. But he

  111. asked a little boy was drawing feverishly, and he went

  112. up to this boy, and he said to the boy,

  113. young boy, what are you drawing. He said, well, I'm

  114. drawing God. He said, you can't draw God. Nobody knows

  115. what he looks like. And the little boy said, they

  116. will when I'm done. But you know, in a very

  117. real sense, you can't draw God. You can't explain God.

  118. Nobody knows what he looks like, what he's like. They

  119. will when this is done, they will when Emanuel has come.

  120. Jesus was the exit Jesus of God. Jesus said, if

  121. you've seen me, You've seen the Father. Jesus came to

  122. explain the Father, to interpret the Father, to lead him

  123. out behind the curtain of invisibility. Said, this is what

  124. God is like. This is who God is. He's a

  125. good God, He's a loving father. You can pray to him,

  126. our father, who are in heaven. You can have intimacy,

  127. intimacy with him, relationship with him. Nobody knew what God

  128. was really like, but we can once Jesus has come,

  129. once we get into the scriptures and discover the truth.

  130. The title Emmanuel, according to the Spirit Filled Life Bible,

  131. assures God's participation in bringing about the deliverance of his people.

  132. Who Emmanuel. It assures God's participation in bringing about the

  133. deliverance of his people. Whatever you may need delivered from,

  134. whatever you need healing from whatever brokenness there may be,

  135. or bondage or oppression. Emmanuel, God with us. He came

  136. to deliver us. The name declares the presence of God

  137. with his people in a new altogether, in a way,

  138. altogether new God with us, God with us. The name

  139. was meant to convince us that God could and would

  140. rescue us from our enemies. It was the greatest gift.

  141. We need no other, Well, we think we do. We

  142. think we need this, we need that, and I wish

  143. I had that, and I need If we discover Emanuel,

  144. we've discovered the greatest gift and we really need no other.

  145. We've got everything we need. Look at Isaiah eight ten.

  146. We'll have it on the screen here. Notice what God says.

  147. Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted. Propose your plan,

  148. but it will not stand. For God is with us Emmanuel.

  149. No matter God said you, go ahead. People can have

  150. their strategy against you. It's going to be thwarted. They

  151. can have their plan against you. It's not going to stand.

  152. Why because Emmanuel, God is with you. God is with you.

  153. Look at the passion translation. Go ahead, hatch a plot,

  154. but it will be foiled. Go ahead, speak a word,

  155. but it will not stand. For Emmanuel. God is with us.

  156. God is with us. And that's what it says in

  157. the Hebrew Emanuel, God is with us. I read or heard,

  158. I forget what it was they said, basically about three

  159. hundred times in the Bible. The references made to God

  160. being with us, not those exact words, but God for us,

  161. God with us, God in us, God on our side,

  162. God acting in our behalf. Go ahead, hatch a plot,

  163. but it'll be foiled. Go ahead, speak a word. It

  164. will not stand. Emmanuel. It's a name that brings healing

  165. to the broken hearted, deliverance to the captives, recovery of

  166. sight to the blind, and sets at liberty those who

  167. are bruised. The light shines in the darkness. I think

  168. it's more than coincidence that Christmas comes right after the

  169. darkest night of the year, the winter solstice, which we

  170. just had, and right after the darkest night. Emmanuel comes

  171. right after your darkest hour, right after your darkest time.

  172. Emmanuel is there, God with us, God with us. See,

  173. as Christians, we don't just believe in some things. We

  174. believe in some We don't just have these tenets of faith.

  175. Well I believe this and this is my doctrine. We

  176. don't just believe in some things. We believe in someone,

  177. someone who is actually here, closer than our next breath. Emmanuel,

  178. God with us, not some idea or philosophy or even

  179. some theology. Someone. He has come to us. He is here.

  180. We are not alone, or rather, we do not have

  181. to be alone. He is with us. Emmanuel, one word

  182. greater than all words, one word that heals all wounds,

  183. all brokenness, all sorrow, all grief, all mourning. He's with

  184. us in the pain. He's with us in the bitterness,

  185. with us in the brokenness. He's with us in the suffering.

  186. He's with us in the aloneentness. Emmanuel, God with us,

  187. God with uh Us. Think about it. He's with us

  188. in the death of a child, the loss of a

  189. loved one, the tests and trials of life, the rejection,

  190. the emptiness, the disappointment, the failures, the brokenness. His provision.

  191. Think about this. His provision always exceeds your need. His

  192. provision always exceeds your need. When they were in the wilderness,

  193. his provision exceeded their need. Not only did he feed

  194. them daily and provide water for them daily, their clothes

  195. never ran out, never wore out. None of them was feeble,

  196. none of them was sick. When Jesus fed to five

  197. thousand to four thousand, there were baskets left over. He's

  198. able to do, exceeding abundantly, above and beyond all you

  199. can ask, think or imagine. His provision always exceeds your need.

  200. Emmanuel God Yahweh with us the name that brings real

  201. peace and true contentment, purpose and meaning in our lives.

  202. I read one author this week that said, this is

  203. anything you're doing here adding up to anything that matters.

  204. You ever think that I do do? Not anything? Is

  205. anything I'm doing really to anything that matters? And I

  206. know that's easy to think that when you're going in

  207. on in a factory or something like that. It's just like,

  208. is anything I'm doing adding up to anything that matters?

  209. And this author said, is anything you're doing here adding

  210. up to anything that matters? And in the end, is

  211. what you've chosen ultimately about Christ and his kingdom. If not,

  212. then no matter what you've chosen, it won't matter at all.

  213. Your time is limited. So don't limit your life profound thoughts.

  214. We want to matter, We want to make a difference.

  215. Look at verse twenty one again. And she shall bring

  216. forth the sun, and you shall call his name Jesus,

  217. Jesus Yehashaah. The Lord is salvation. Jesus is the translation

  218. of the Hebrew Joshua or Yehashawa or Yahweh is salvation.

  219. Yahweh is salvation, healing, deliverance, preservation, protection, soundness. God is

  220. all those things, and it's in the name of Jesus.

  221. Jesus Yahweh is salvation, healing, deliverance, preservation, soundness, protection. He

  222. shall save us from our sins. Jesus came to Earth

  223. to save us because we can't save ourselves. Drowning man

  224. cannot save himself. And somebody that rescues a drowning person,

  225. the one thing they wish that drowning person would do

  226. would just stop struggling and let go and relax so

  227. I can rescue you. Stop trying to rescue yourself. The

  228. drowning person just needs to let that person that's come

  229. to rescue them do that rescue them. Jesus came to

  230. rescue us because we cannot rescue ourselves. We cannot save

  231. ourselves from sin and its consequences. No matter how good

  232. we are, we can't eliminate sin and its consequences without

  233. our being born from above, redeemed, renewed. Look at Matthew

  234. one twenty one in the amplified we'll have it on

  235. the screen here. He Jesus, will save his people from

  236. their sins, that is, prevent them from failing and missing

  237. the true end and scope of life, which is God.

  238. That's why he came. He came to save us from

  239. our sins and prevent us from failing and missing the

  240. true end and scope of life, which is God, for

  241. He will save his people from their sins. The words

  242. save the Greek word sodso so z o, and it

  243. means this according to this is from Dake's Annotated Reference Bible.

  244. He said, the word soso has used one hundred and

  245. ten times in the New Testament of salvation. Sin, danger,

  246. spiritual conflict, sickness, hell, and slavery. That's what you and

  247. I are saved from. Yahweh is salvation Jesus. He came

  248. to save us from sin, danger, spiritual conflict, sickness, hell,

  249. and slavery. Glory to God. That's worth rejoicing about. That's

  250. worth shouting about. That's what's getting excited about. Emmanuel symbolizes

  251. the presence of God to deliver his people, to give

  252. us the victory and cause us to triumph. Symbolizes His

  253. presence to deliver us. I want to have Jeff come

  254. up here right now and share a testimony that just

  255. happened in his life, heard it with me. After prayer

  256. on Wednesday morning, he had gone down south to see

  257. his mom, and I said, man, you got to tell that.

  258. So I hope you can tell it as good as

  259. you told me, because that was some powerful stuff. I

  260. hope it edified I was.

  261. I was scheduled last Sunday night to go to my

  262. mom's place and visit. So I left Manchester and the

  263. conditions were great, perfect, So I on my way down,

  264. I was listened to a really good teaching from Kenneth

  265. Hagen and it was about Kenneth Hagen was talking about

  266. how the woman with the issue of blood was an

  267. example for believers on how they could receive from God

  268. and the three lessons or steps that took place with

  269. a woman with issue of blood was she said, then

  270. she acted on what she had said, then she had

  271. received from Jesus, and then she told So, I'm glad today.

  272. I'm glad that I can tell something. That's what I'm doing.

  273. I'm telling So I was on the north side of Indianapolis,

  274. and I was in the presence of God. I had

  275. listened to that message and it was rich. And I'm

  276. on the north side of Indianapolis where it's four lanes

  277. one way, and all of a sudden, I find myself

  278. going perpendicular to the traffic, and there was no traffic

  279. for me to hit, thankfully, So I was sliding perpendicular

  280. to the direction of the road, and I cried out Jesus,

  281. and he was I was, like I say, I was

  282. in his presence. So anyway, I got all the way

  283. over to that edge of the road, and all this

  284. takes like a second, but I got all the way

  285. over to the edge of the road, and I could

  286. kind of just see over where I was headed, and

  287. it was a long ways down. It was probably, oh,

  288. i'd guess, fifteen feet a bank that the road was

  289. built up on. So I was just right at the edge,

  290. and all of a sudden I was straightened out and

  291. just headed on my way to Mom's. I got so's oed.

  292. Amen, Hallelujah, as saying he was telling me Wednesday that

  293. that and bank went. That cliff was so steep. He

  294. said it could have killed me. One word, Jesus shall

  295. save his people. Hallelujah, God with us, the Lord saves.

  296. Read this with me will be on the screen. There

  297. are thirty nine books in the Old Testament and twenty

  298. seven books in the New Testament. The word Testament means

  299. covenant or promise. The Bible constantly tells us, in one

  300. form or another, that God is with us. It's a covenant.

  301. It's a promise, not just words on a page, not

  302. just platitudes. It's a covenant. It's a promise. God is

  303. with us. Emmanuel. The whole word of God tells us,

  304. tells how God is with us. He knows we are

  305. not perfect, and He does not expect us to be.

  306. But if we ask for forgiveness at any time, God

  307. will forgive us. He is always everywhere and always with us.

  308. If we ask for forgiveness and really mean it, God

  309. must and will forgive us instantly and forever, never to

  310. remember those shortcomings again. We can do this because God

  311. is with us always. He promises, He covenants with us,

  312. to be with us, not only with us, but for us,

  313. not only for us, but in us. Let's look at

  314. one more scripture. Go to Hebrews chapter thirteen. We'll read

  315. it first in the New King James, and we'll look

  316. at it in the Amplified Bible. Hebrews chapter thirteen, Verse

  317. five and six. Let your conduct be without covetousness, Be

  318. content with such things as you have for he himself

  319. has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.

  320. So we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper.

  321. I will not fear. What can man do to me?

  322. He himself has said it so that we should then

  323. boldly say it. Whatever God has said, whether it be

  324. this verse or other verses, we need to boldly say it.

  325. He has said, by my stripes, you're healed. We need

  326. to say, bias stripes, I was healed. He has said

  327. I'll never leave you, nor forsake you. We need to

  328. say he will never leave me nor forsaking. He has said,

  329. the Lord is our shepherd. We shall not want. We

  330. need to say the Lord is my shepherd. I shall

  331. not want. We need to say it now just think

  332. it or dream about it, or imagine it. We need

  333. to say it so that he has said so that

  334. we may boldly say it. Doesn't get any clearer than

  335. that death and life are in the power of the tongue.

  336. If you have faith, you will say, they said, increase

  337. our faith, and Jesus that if you have faith, you

  338. will say. If you have faith, you will say what

  339. God says. We're not just saying things we make up

  340. or positive things or things that sound good. We're saying

  341. what God says because there's power and anointing in his word.

  342. Just like Jesus did when he was tempted, he just said,

  343. it is written, It is written, it is written. He

  344. spoke the word. When you face the trials of life,

  345. speak the word. Now look at it in the ampied

  346. and it brings out what's actually in the Greek or

  347. is a triple negative here, And it says this, let

  348. marriage verse five, Let your character or moral disposition be

  349. free from love of money, including greed, avarice, lust, and

  350. craving for earthly possessions. Or you could stop and preach

  351. right there and be satisfied with your present circumstances and

  352. with what you have. You can preach your whole sermon

  353. right there. For he God himself has said, I'll noticed this.

  354. He God himself has said, I will not in any

  355. way fail you, nor give you up, nor leave you

  356. without support. It's a covenant. It's a promise. I will

  357. not in any way fail you, nor give you up,

  358. nor leave you without support. Emanuel God with us, and

  359. it goes on, I will not, I will not, I

  360. will not in any degree leave you helpless. That's what

  361. how it reads in the Greek. It's a triple negative there,

  362. I will not, I will not, I will not. Why

  363. would God emphasize it so strongly because he knew we'd

  364. have trouble believing it. I guess I will not. I

  365. will not. I will not in any degree leave you helpless,

  366. nor forsake, nor let you down, nor relax my hold

  367. on you. We think we're holding on to God. He's

  368. holding on to us assuredly not. I will not. I

  369. will not. I will not let you down. I will

  370. not leave you. I will not forsake you. I will

  371. not let you go. The passion translation reads this way,

  372. for hasn't he promised you I will never leave you alone? Never,

  373. and I will not loosen my grip on your life.

  374. Close your eyes and think about that as I read

  375. it again. Hasn't he promised you I will never leave

  376. you alone, never, and I will not loosen my grip

  377. on your life. Father, We praise you today that you

  378. will never leave us alone. You will not, you will not.

  379. You will not forsake us, turn from us, relax your

  380. hold on us. You will never leave us, You will

  381. never forsake us. We can boldly say the Lord is

  382. my helper. The Lord is the strength of my life.

  383. The Lord is my deliverer. The Lord is my healer.

  384. The Lord is my redeemer. The Lord is my shepherd.

  385. The Lord is my strong power. The Lord is my rock,

  386. my shield. The Lord is my all and all. We

  387. can boldly say that because you have said it, and

  388. you will never leave us nor forsake us. Lord, I

  389. pray that that truth would be so real to each

  390. and every one of us. Emmanuel, God with us, to

  391. save us from ourselves, to save us from sin, Save

  392. us from the consequence of and save us from this

  393. wicked world. Save us from the wiles of the evil One,

  394. save us from the lies of the enemy, and heal us,

  395. and deliver us, and protect us, and provide for us.

  396. He will, He'll deliver, set free and make all his

  397. people yahweh is salvation. Lord. I pray that this Christmas,

  398. in this coming new Year, that reality, that truth will

  399. be blazed into our souls and into our hearts and

  400. into our minds. God is with us, God is for us.

  401. God is in us, in the person of Jesus Christ,

  402. to the Holy Spirit. He came to save, heal, deliver,

  403. set free, make whole, he will be with us. We

  404. want to close with the song. It's a powerful song.

  405. If you want to sing along, you can. If you

  406. just want to sit listen to it, or sit and

  407. you can close your eyes and listen to it. The

  408. child is I will be with you. I never heard

  409. this song before. When Penny and I and our family

  410. left California after living there eighteen years and pastoring the

  411. church we'd found there almost fourteen years, the praise and

  412. worship team sang this song to me to us as

  413. we were leaving after fourteen years, and I thought, man,

  414. it's such a good, powerful song, and it came back

  415. to me in preparing this message. So just let this

  416. minister to you. I will be with you. Join the day.

  417. Your craft for versing that goles mind name now, for.

  418. I'll be I will be with you.

  419. I will be with you.

  420. For that's who I.

  421. Will be with you.

  422. I'll be on your side.

  423. Your fair fourteen friends will be tonight. I'll find the

  424. back the en call my end. Well.

  425. I will be with you.

  426. I will be.

  427. With you to the end of you.

  428. I will be miss you. I will be with you now,

  429. my God, I'll be bo.

  430. I will be with you.

  439. I will be with you, gonna sign am. I'll brisbee

  440. where it's you. I'm walking beside.

  441. I'm here to guys.

  442. O your.

  443. I have a story.

  444. Let's put your fight me. Hey man, let's stand. That's

  445. the true meaning of the rainbow. Hallelujah. You know one

  446. other aspect of that that we didn't look at. But

  447. it says you will call his name Emmanuel, which means

  448. God with us. But if you know it's we don't

  449. call him Emmanuel. We don't say, let's let's pray to

  450. Emmanuel right now, or we don't we don't say, oh, Emmanuel.

  451. What is his name? His name is Jesus. So here's

  452. another aspect of that. You'll call his name Jesus Emmanuel,

  453. God is with us. The name Jesus means God is

  454. with us. Then say then say you will name him Emanuel.

  455. Modern translations some of them tend to read that way,

  456. but the literal doesn't read that says you'll call his

  457. name Emmanuel, not his name is he. You'll call his

  458. name Jesus Emmanuel. When you call on that name, as

  459. we heard the testimony, you call on that name. God

  460. is with you. Hallelujah, Emmanuel Father, We thank you. You

  461. are with us. You'll never leave us, You'll never forsake us.

  462. We do pray as we gather with family and loved

  463. ones this week, Lord God, that we would shine for

  464. you your love would radiate through us. We continue to

  465. believe and thank you for household salvation. Lord, for each

  466. and everyone, our parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters. We

  467. pray for household salvation, people being saved for the first time,

  468. or delivered from backsliding, or being prodigals, or being deceived

  469. and deluded and off the track. Lord God, we pray

  470. and believe for a household salvation. And we thank you

  471. for Lord God, and use us to share the good news.

  472. To ask those five questions, to be salt, to be light,

  473. to be your ambassadors, to be your ministers of reconciliation,

  474. to be your witnesses, to be labors in the harvest.

  475. There is no Plan B it's us. So, Lord, I

  476. pray for divine appointments for each and every one of

  477. us in this coming year to share your love, to

  478. set people free from believing the lie and being deceived

  479. and in darkness, even if they think they're okay, that

  480. they would realize they need a savior they can't save themselves. Lord,

  481. I pray for holy boldness and divine compassion for each

  482. and every one of us to reach out to those

  483. in need, maybe whether it be at work or in

  484. our neighborhood, or in the marketplace or casual acquaintances. Lord,

  485. your love, your light, your truth would shine through us

  486. in Jesus' name. If you agree with that, say amen. Amen. Reminder,

  487. no service this Wednesday or next Wednesday, but we will

  488. be here next Sunday. Tell us some people as you leave.

  489. God is with us. God is with us, Callelijah. Thank

  490. you for listening.
