  4. finds you.

  5. In good shame and now here's your message. You're listening

  6. to a podcast from Victory. Jesus taught us to pray

  7. with perseverance. Learn more about asking, seeking and knocking in

  8. Week fourteen of our series Redefined.

  9. Let's look at Matthew seven Versus seven to twelve. Matthew seven,

  10. Verses seven to twelve, it says, here, ask and it

  11. will be given to you. Seek and you will find.

  12. Knock and it will be open to you. For everyone

  13. who asks receive, and the one who seeks fins, And

  14. to the one who knocks, it will be open. Or

  15. which one of you, if his son asks him for

  16. a bread, will give him a stone, or if he

  17. asked for a fish, will give him a serpent. If you, then,

  18. who are evil, know how to give good gifts to

  19. your children, how much more will your Father reason Heaven

  20. give good things to those who ask him. So whatever

  21. you wish that others would do to you, do also

  22. to them. For this is the law and the prophets

  23. that's spewed on our heads, and its pray, Oh God

  24. of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, that it be known today

  25. that you are God. Answer us, Oh Lord, answer us,

  26. that we may know that you are working in our hearts,

  27. that you are calling us to you. You're drawing us near

  28. that fire from heaven. Come down and consume us in

  29. Jesus name. Amen. Look at the first two verses of

  30. the what we're reading right now, Matthew seven, verses seven

  31. to eight. It says, here ask it will be given

  32. to you, see and you will find knock and it

  33. will be open to you. And he repeats it again.

  34. He says, ask seek, knock, ask, seek, knock, God, who

  35. is our King. And at the same time, our Father

  36. through Jesus, is commanding us one thing, which is the

  37. same thing. Actually he just used three different words to

  38. describe this one thing, and that's prayer coming to God.

  39. In prayer, God is commanding us to pray to him.

  40. You know, every time we read or every time we

  41. see a command in the Bible, actually most of the

  42. time we see a command in the Bible, there is

  43. usually an upcoming promise to it. You see Jesus right

  44. now is using three words, and he repeats it. Ask, seek, knock,

  45. ask seek, knock, it says if Jesus is saying, oh,

  46. you gotta get this prayer, prayer, something amazing here. And

  47. not only that, if you would also realize that's the

  48. command of God, ask seek not the promise of God

  49. is that when you ask, you will receive. When you seek,

  50. you will find. When you knock it will be opened.

  51. And if you would realize also tens from a present

  52. tent or a future test, there's a present tense. What

  53. does it all mean? In this verse couple of verses alone,

  54. Jesus was saying the importance of prayer. Oh, you just

  55. you have to do this. There's something here, there's there's

  56. there's a promise every time when we pray. And not

  57. only that, not shift cha my present tense, my future tests.

  58. What does it mean? It means that we can come

  59. to God in prayer in our present situation, whatever your

  60. background is. What kum nasa mantayo is a stage na.

  61. We can come to God right now as we are

  62. and expect, because you promise, expect that we will receive,

  63. find and it will be open to us, and not

  64. only that, we can come to God even in the future.

  65. And no now, when we pray in the future, he

  66. will make a c receive and the door will be opened.

  67. So prayer is not just a one time event. Indeed,

  68. on tie you know we pray miketai, Jesus is saying

  69. prayer is more of a lifestyle, and we don't end

  70. in prayer. God is actually commanding us to persist in

  71. prayer's persistence meaning indeeda to mitigail. You know what, there's

  72. a parallel verse of this found in Look eleven. I

  73. won't read it, but I'll just share to your story

  74. similar to how Jesus delivered it. Sail all of a sudden, beglong,

  75. my bosita, someone visited that person's house. Now the problem

  76. is doesn't say it stay there. He was not prepared,

  77. ada or anything. And you know us right, have you

  78. experienced that when someone visits your house, sometimes in the

  79. expected and all of a sudden you need to you Knowabaska,

  80. you know, growing up, one of my family members, not

  81. my mom, one of your family members from my bisaton

  82. and as a cabinet Spanish bread, milka, spam, beclome, you know,

  83. on your air con We want accommodate the guest. No.

  84. The problem with this man. When this visitor came, it

  85. was already nighttime Gabina and he doesn't have anything good

  86. thing make up with Baisha or my Friendsha Madamimpakai's pall

  87. pray uham become my extra jumping in them food, So

  88. den I burn along? Sorry, Donna lit the neighbor men message,

  89. can I talk Minis Colla and whom on here? You

  90. know already of someone, so Broncolett. At the end of it,

  91. have you ever experienced that you tell the ie on

  92. the eye on the mansana you don't want to do

  93. it because they were so persistent, so Bronculet, solet you

  94. just gave in. We have all experienced that right in

  95. the same way that this maculit friend, this persistent friend

  96. was with his other friend. Jesus is actively telling us

  97. to be that Maculett persistent in our prayers. Ask seek knock,

  98. ask seek knock, be persistent in prayers. If you would

  99. notice there's ask seek knock. This is not levels of prayer,

  100. you know, ind or entry level prayer, ask level, expert level,

  101. not prayer. It's not like that it's more of an

  102. attitude of the heart. You know what you're looking at

  103. that story? I remember whom mong you here? You have kids?

  104. You have kids, I'm after I have a toddler right now.

  105. And for some of you who have kids, maybe top

  106. of suppose a stage, not at all. They're so cute

  107. and adorable, not toddlers. Yeah, and if you know or

  108. get into that, say your way. Papa kin, nephew, niece

  109. three years old, Papa ba three four years Oh yeah,

  110. they're so cute right and nosy at the same time.

  111. You know what, when their parents are there or maybe

  112. you are there, isn't it true that they keep on

  113. asking things? Barriet, Barriet, why why? But do you know that?

  114. And not only that I have a daughter right now

  115. and he doesn't speak yet, you know, but he keeps

  116. on asking us to do things for him, like my Bookamon,

  117. and it keeps on asking. When my kid knows that

  118. we're there, he keeps on coming to us and tell us, hey,

  119. did you do this, like open the wallet, give me money?

  120. But when sometimes, you know, we can't really look at

  121. him always. Sometimes we clean at the other side of

  122. the room. And when when when when my kid realized

  123. that realizes that he's alone, and maybe nephew Nie realize

  124. that they are alone and their parents are not there.

  125. Isn't it true?

  126. They start being anxious and they start looking for their parents,

  127. and if they know that their parents is in the

  128. other room to Sarado and Pinto, isn't it dude, that

  129. they knock the door and then make noise and then

  130. they cry.

  131. But that's how Jeday does it when he knows that

  132. we're just somewhere in the house but he doesn't see us,

  133. but he just cries. Aver. You is crying, he's knocking,

  134. he's throwing our TV. Oh no, he doesn't do that.

  135. The oulet crying out. God's saying, we can do that

  136. to God because He is our father. It's not a level,

  137. it's actually an attitude, desperate, hungry, longing for God his presence.

  138. You know what, all of us here we've experienced this,

  139. especially Kumbago and Christian. Isn't it true? Sometimes when we

  140. pray to God, sometimes we feel the presence of God.

  141. We feel like He's there now when we pray. But

  142. I'm feeling you start up a worship you kind start

  143. to go worship God, Worship God, is feeling, you're crying,

  144. you're worshiping to God. But isn't it also true that

  145. there are times that when we pray, it's as if

  146. no one's listening, or even worse, he's not answering our prayers,

  147. or instead of the prayers that you're asking for happens,

  148. it's the other way around. India prayers. What do we

  149. do when we feel like God's not there? What do

  150. we do when we feel like the doors of heaven

  151. Heaven are closed? What do we do when we feel

  152. like no one's listening. I've met already some people, and

  153. some of them just wants to give up on their faith. Lord, Iron,

  154. I'm a victory group, Iron them a disciple, Ion, I'm

  155. a service Iron am a church. Just gives up on

  156. God some of them. I've talked to people. They got

  157. more bitter, or they got better with God. And here

  158. was Jesus saying, no, ask, seek, knock. Like a child

  159. longing for his father, ask, seek, knock. Persist in prayer,

  160. because if you ask, you will receive. If you seek,

  161. you will find. Continually knock it will be open to you.

  162. Persist in prayers. Why can we persist in prayers? How

  163. is it that we can persist in prayers? Pantag God.

  164. The answer is found in the next verse. Look at this.

  165. In verse nine, it says, here, or which one of you,

  166. if his son asked for a bread, will give him

  167. a stone, or if we ask for a fish, will

  168. give him a serpent. There's no right minded parent who

  169. asked for a bread and will give him a stone.

  170. In short, Malaga and God, Jesus is saying God's like that.

  171. In fact, he pushes the analogy further. In the next verse,

  172. he says, here, if you, then, who are evil, wow,

  173. Jesus just called us evil and we're honest. It's true.

  174. If we look at our hearts we have we have

  175. sin apart from the grace in the the what Jesus

  176. Christ has done on the cross for us, we are sinners.

  177. We are are evil. But guess what. Isn't it true

  178. even though if we're not perfect, we still give good

  179. gifts to our loved ones. Right He says there, If you, then,

  180. who are evil, know how to give good gifts to

  181. your children, how much more will your father, is an

  182. event give good gifts or good things to those who

  183. ask him. The reason why we can persist in prayers

  184. is because we have a good father. We have an amazing,

  185. perfect father. God is not like our earthly fathers, who

  186. is who are as amazing as they are. We all

  187. would agree right that they're not perfect. If you're a

  188. parent here, you would agree, oh, in the whole perfect.

  189. There are some things that I want to do give

  190. I can't, and sometimes I'm doing something that that's wrong.

  191. We're not perfect, but God's not like that. That's what

  192. Jesus is saying. You know, we we have punishment, but

  193. God's not like He says, how much more God who

  194. gives good things to those who ask him. The reason

  195. why we can come to God and persist in prayers

  196. is because we have a good father. We can come

  197. to him. The problem is sometimes we come to him

  198. with all the wrong reasons. Sometimes we come to him thinking, Lord,

  199. it's good, it's even best. I've been praying for this

  200. years years. I don't see why you won't give this

  201. to me. This is good. It's gonna bless other people,

  202. it's gonna help my family, it's gonna help my work.

  203. Why won't you give this to me? I got reminded

  204. of James four versus two to three it says here,

  205. Actually you desire and do not have, So your murder

  206. you covet and cannot obtain. So you fight and quarrel

  207. you do not have because you do not ask. Sometimes

  208. that's the reason why we don't have the promises of

  209. God in our lives, because we're not asking. But look

  210. at this, you ask and do it received because you

  211. ask wrongly to spend it on your passions out James.

  212. And sometimes we have that things right, we have those

  213. prayers and not feeling that in God this is good.

  214. Going back to the analogy, a son asks for a

  215. bread and a fish because God is a good father,

  216. he wouldn't give a stone and an eel. But what

  217. would happen? Would you think God is a good father

  218. when the child thinks that he is asking for a bread,

  219. but he's actually asking for a stone. Do you think

  220. God is good if he gives the stone? What do

  221. I mean? Sometimes we think what we're asking God is

  222. good because we can only see it in our level,

  223. in our finite minds. But God's infinite in his wisdom,

  224. perfect in his holiness, unending in his love and mercy

  225. to us, my mama Baga, Because God is a different

  226. perspective in life. Sometimes we pray those prayers. Lord, give

  227. me a love life Christmas. Not Lord shannatalaga. Lord, he

  228. has twelve back aps centipede. Here's the answer to my prayer.

  229. This is the business that I've been waiting for. This

  230. is the the opportunity that that I've been looking for.

  231. God give it to me. And there's nothing wrong with that.

  232. It's just that we don't know. Oh, it completely like God.

  233. You know what. God defines what is good or not.

  234. We don't get to tell him. I don't pray its name, best, best,

  235. best best. As a good father, he defines what is

  236. good or not. It is our job. It is our

  237. duty as a son and a king, a son and

  238. a citizen of the kingdom to pray in faith. Now

  239. does it mean a paraha pray your heart God? No? No, no,

  240. it's okay again. We can come to God with all

  241. our with all of our flaws and all of our

  242. faulty prayers. It's okay. We can come to God. We

  243. can come to God. Malaya. Motivation of heart's not and

  244. that's the good thing about our God. But I hope

  245. as we pray to God, we would realize that it

  246. is actually a journey of our relationship with him. There

  247. are certain things now when God doesn't answer our prayers,

  248. I hope our response is it ginovato? And then that's

  249. where we mature. We realize, Oh, I've been praying for

  250. this and it's not the best. Okay, Lord, I will

  251. trust and yield and obey. It's hard, right, So how

  252. can we do this? How can we pray in faith?

  253. And I hope the message wouldn't make us feel pray. No,

  254. it's in fact the opposite. We can come to God

  255. as we are, and He will meet us where we are,

  256. But we don't define what's good or not. He does.

  257. It's our responsibility to come to Him in faith. So

  258. it's hard, right, it's a good thing. In the same

  259. parallel verse, in Look eleven, God says this. Jesus says this,

  260. If you then are evil, know how to give good

  261. gifts to your children? How much more will you have

  262. any Father? He defines it right now good things? But

  263. this time he says, will Father will give you the

  264. Holy Spirit to those who ask him what does it mean?

  265. Left on our own our personal desires, that's where things

  266. go wrong. We become selfish. We become thinking about ourselves.

  267. But that's where the Holy Spirit needs to come. Ask, seek,

  268. find is redefined. It's so hard to do apart from

  269. the power of the Holy Spirit. So what should we do?

  270. Ask the Holy Lord, give me the Holy Spirit. Lord,

  271. fill me with the Spirit. Lord, guide me, give me wisdom.

  272. The Holy Spirit is our counsel. Lord. He changes our desires.

  273. That's the nice thing about the Holy Spirit. He changes

  274. our hearts so that our personal desires will be aligned

  275. will with the kingdom desires of God. Remember the context

  276. of redefined. Redefined is never about and even the whole Bible,

  277. the message of Jesus doesn't revolve around us and our needs.

  278. He is redefining it so that our needs are aligned

  279. to the kingdom needs are aligned to the will of God.

  280. Your Kingdom Come, Your will be done. Remember that prayer.

  281. So how will that change? When we ask the Holy

  282. Spirit change our hearts God so that our desires will

  283. be kingdom desires. When the kingdom becomes personal to us,

  284. When the kingdom needs and desires becomes personal to us,

  285. and when we pray the personal needs and desires that

  286. we have, we know that it has an effect to

  287. the Kingdom of God. It means that, yes, we can

  288. come to God with whatever we want to pray for vacation, provision, healing, salvation.

  289. But ultimately we know that it's not about ai paramagi

  290. medallium buheiko. No. The reason why we're asking for favor,

  291. provision and breakthrough, healing salvation is because we know this

  292. is the will of the king. This is the Kingdom

  293. of God coming down here on earth. When we realize

  294. that our big problems and I'm not belittling anyone's problems here,

  295. but when we see our problems, we suddenly realize, oh,

  296. I have a big problem, but I have a bigger God. Oh,

  297. I thought, this is the scope of God's work, And

  298. then we see the Kingdom of God. Oh, He's moving

  299. not just in my life, but in that aspect, in

  300. that nation, in that family, in that campus, in that company. Wow.

  301. If God can work in those things, I know he

  302. can work in my life. And then the problem suddenly

  303. becomes smaller because we realize God is big, because the

  304. Kingdom becomes personal to us. If God can deal with

  305. the problems of the nations, he can deal with our

  306. issues well. Because the Kingdom becomes personal. And now we

  307. have that confidence to pray you or you're gonna do

  308. your mighty work in my life. Yahaya Natima administer kite

  309. my problematima pray kan. I just want to share a story,

  310. you know about this. We've been constantly doing prayer walks

  311. and these students are praying, some of them are fasting

  312. for their campus. Let me just say that they're not perfect. Okay,

  313. they're far from perfect. And not only that, all of

  314. them have challenges in their life. Maybe the island DNA.

  315. But how can they pray? How can they believe God

  316. for their campus? How can they believe God for open doors?

  317. No problem? The answer is the Kingdom was personal to them.

  318. It was personal to them. I remember, as you know,

  319. we are Confebrarim one year in natalios A, Santa Mesa. Okay,

  320. in our youth service in Santa Mesa. Just to give

  321. you a background, we started with that crazy idea because

  322. we knew that there are lots of people out there

  323. who couldn't come here in our Friday youth service. So

  324. the students and all of us realized, no, that's why

  325. we need to go out. So we started going out, praying, evangelizing, preaching.

  326. The gospel, asking, seeking, knocking. We started a small youth service.

  327. I don't have the picture in opedro. We started a

  328. small youth service with eighty eighty students in the second

  329. floor of the multi purpose holing some one medical center

  330. somewhere there. Oh it's hot, it has two windows, it

  331. has no air con, and it has no electric fun

  332. We were on fire. We were sweating. We were like, oh,

  333. but I mean illego. Okay, all you have to do

  334. is stand there and you'll be wet. That happened for

  335. two times. Okay, all got you know what. The students

  336. were saying, Lord, give us a place, a bigger venue.

  337. Come September, we transferred to someone jam that has like

  338. what four hundred sitting capacity, and students came in from

  339. eighties somewhere to around two hundred, two hundred and fifty

  340. or so. Students came. They realized that God was doing

  341. something in their lives. But the student says, Lord, Lord,

  342. they're not saying this out of convenience. They were saying

  343. this out of faith. God answered. God just answered their prayers. Service.

  344. Oh didn't God answer their prayers? They were transferred to

  345. a bigger venue air So God was now asked that

  346. they're now praying Lord, nor we're praying for a big place.

  347. Nor be praying not just for someone, but for Kastle

  348. City and for Manila. And Lord, please give us an

  349. air cone. That was September, October or no, sorry, November.

  350. We went out praying, asking knocking, just did a random

  351. call to sm it was open or nothing. We're asking, seeking,

  352. knocking and guess who welcomed us there? The name of

  353. the point person there was Christ Christ opened the door.

  354. Francis called it's Upsillia. Then afterwards, guys, good news. Christ

  355. is at work. Christ is gonna hit us. So what

  356. am I? That was December January we're praying. February we

  357. launched and right now I think we're averaging three hundred

  358. three fifty four hundred max. Believe with us. We're praying

  359. either for a bigger venue or we're praying for two services.

  360. Stand with us in prayer. How did this happen? And

  361. that's just Santa Messa. Amazing things happening in Green Hills

  362. as well started and there was one hundred percent grove.

  363. What did we do? Did you know? Did something? No? Pray?

  364. Ask seek Bonie Erano, why are youth service there in

  365. Bonie Erano, who has only fifty seating capacity. They were asking,

  366. they were in faith surprised lad Ancle Santaia. But pray

  367. with us who knows? Why do Alian workbel God is

  368. at work? Ask, seek, knock. Then let me end with

  369. this verse says here verse twelve. So whatever you wish

  370. the others would do to you, do also to them,

  371. for this is the law and the profits. Now when

  372. the first time I read this to prepare this speeching parang, hmm,

  373. many message. We were praying about prayer, being persistent in prayers,

  374. and all of a sudden the Golden rule. You've heard

  375. this right. There are similar commands like this in other religions,

  376. like do not do unto others. You don't want others

  377. to do unto you. You've heard this right. But Jesus

  378. command was different. The word was due. It makes a bien.

  379. We are proactive, we are doing something. It makes a bien. Hey,

  380. you want others to forgive and love you, Why don't

  381. you go forgive and love them even though they are

  382. not lovable, no strings attached. Do also to them what

  383. you want others to do unto you. But the question

  384. is okay, allow money as a topic. Nothing about being

  385. persistent in prayers. The key word is the word so

  386. can you say so? So in its Greek word, what

  387. it actually means is therefore, And as you know, every

  388. time you see or read in the Bible the word therefore,

  389. you should look what is there before war and basil

  390. and natagen. So what does it mean in the context

  391. of prayer and being persistent in prayer? It means that

  392. not only do we ask seek knock for our personal desires,

  393. not only do we ask seek not for the Holy

  394. Spirit to move in our hearts, to change our hearts.

  395. Not only do we ask seek knock for the Kingdom

  396. of God to come in our lives, but we also

  397. ask seek not persist in prayers for others. And God

  398. was saying, as you do this, you would realize you

  399. love God and you love other people. And if you

  400. summarize that, that is actually the summary of the Bible.

  401. To love God and love others as you love yourself.

  402. That is the law in the prophets. That what Jesus

  403. was saying, Imagine a community that loves other people. Imagine

  404. a community that not only praise for their own desires,

  405. but praise for other people as well. Could you imagine

  406. someone who is knocking, seeking or asking persisting in your

  407. needs as well. Imagine a community like that. Again, you

  408. know this not to bring them in the spotlight, but

  409. for me, I'm just so thankful for the team that

  410. we have here. These people were with me when there

  411. are hard times in my life. They were praying with me,

  412. they visited us, or when when there was challenges in

  413. my personal family. They were genuinely concerned about me, not

  414. just with my work or what I do. And the

  415. goodness is this just doesn't happen with that. I have

  416. heard stories already among victory groups we're in the leader

  417. or even the members go the extra mile of praying

  418. for that person, standing with them an antibah. And that's

  419. our culture today. Just listen to our earphones to our

  420. We just put our earphones. We just listen to our

  421. music and our own world. But God saying no, imagine

  422. a community in the Kingdom of God, in the Family

  423. of God. We're in all of us here collectively communally

  424. are asking, seeking, knocking for our needs and other people's needs.

  425. For the Holy Spirits work and other people's work. The

  426. Holy Spirits work in other people's lives, for the Kingdom

  427. to come in our lives, our families, our work, our campuses,

  428. and for the Kingdom to come in their lives and

  429. their campuses and their companies and families. So in short,

  430. it's not just about us, and that's redefined. It was

  431. never about us. It was about Him and collectively us

  432. living to worship God. I just want to encourage all

  433. of us here. It's okay. We can pray, Lord, pray

  434. for grades. You must do this point under. They are

  435. in the hell week submissions find us. But at the

  436. same time, we may say, Lord, we're praying for my

  437. business provision opportunities, pray for my family. That's good. When

  438. was the last time you prayed for the other person's grades, family,

  439. company opportunities. God is saying, as a kingdom member, as

  440. a citizen, we do not only come and persist in

  441. prayers for our own needs, but for others as well. Church,

  442. and encourage you come to God. Let's ask seek and not.

  443. God's promise is we will receive, we will find and

  444. the door will be opened spelled. Don our heads in pray. Lord,

  445. I pray right now that you would do a mighty

  446. work in our hearts. Holy Spirit, come or we're sorry

  447. because right now we may have prayed wrong prayers. Believe

  448. God is telling you, right now that's okay, son, that's okay,

  449. my child, that's okay, my daughter. I love you anyway,

  450. Come to me, Come to me, Thank you Lord. Believe

  451. God is renewing the spirit of sonship upon us, that

  452. he turns the sons to the fathers and fathers to

  453. their sons. That there's going to be reconciliation, not just

  454. for you, but right now. I believe in the name

  455. of Jesus, Holy Spirit. May you put a burden in

  456. our hearts. Holy Spirit. Come, you call us not to be,

  457. not just to ask, seek, and not for our own needs,

  458. but also for the needs of others. Holy Spirit, Would

  459. you reveal to us specific people circumstances that we need

  460. to pray for right now? A Holy Spirit belief some

  461. of us God is revealing to us a person, a sister,

  462. a tita, or maybe an opportunity, or maybe in your campus.

  463. Many reveal says to God praying pray for your campus,

  464. or your boss or the business of your competitor. I

  465. don't know what it is, but if the Holy Spirit

  466. has revealed something to pray for. I'm going to give

  467. you a moment right now to pray for that. Why

  468. don't you bless that person, ask the Kingdom of God

  469. to come upon that person or that circumstance or that

  470. company's life. I believe as we are praying, the Holy

  471. Spirit wants to set us free from being entitled and selfish.

  472. For where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom,

  473. and he's freeing us from bitterness. He's freeing us for

  474. being self absorbed. He's expanding your horizon. Lord, Thank you

  475. right now because you're opening our eyes so that we

  476. may see what's in front of us Jesus name, and

  477. another group of people, and another thing that I want

  478. to pray for, maybe for some of us here for

  479. saying Lord, I feel like it's so hard to pray,

  480. or I'm praying, but it's not going there. I feel

  481. like not doing it with all heads bowed and eyes closed.

  482. I want to declare the truth of God over your

  483. emotions right now. If that's you, with no one looking around,

  484. I want to pray for you. Can you quickly raise

  485. your right hand, Thank you Lord, Thank you God for

  486. those hands. You can put it down theories. Thank you, Lord, Lord,

  487. you saw those hands and us. You're trying to pray,

  488. but they just feel like they can't go through. Right now,

  489. God is telling you, my son and my daughter, that

  490. I'm bigger than your emotions. Know this, my son, and

  491. trust in this. Fix your eyes in Jesus. The offer.

  492. He started this, the offer and perfector He will finish this,

  493. the author and perfector of your faith right now, I believe.

  494. Let me just declare this, God, would you redefine how

  495. they see you, that they would see you crucified and

  496. that you have the joy set before you endure the

  497. cross scorning it's shame, so that we could come to you,

  498. Lord God, bold and confident, knowing that you are gracious

  499. and true.
