Old Man Healing. Our second session, the theme is here
-
and be healed. We've looked at more than one time
-
where Jesus when they came for healing, they first heard,
-
they heard, and then were healed. And we have to
-
believe believe with the heart. So we want to talk
-
about with the heart tonight in receiving healing and wholeness
-
or any of the promises of God. Scripture tells us
-
that we must believe with the heart, believe with the heart.
-
True Bible faith is a matter of the heart, not
-
the head. Knowledge is not faith. Faith is not knowledge.
-
So we'll look a little tonight as much as we
-
can and what is true Bible faith? What is the heart?
-
How do we get the Word in our heart? And
-
how do we believe with the heart? Now look at
-
Romans chapter ten and verse eight. Romans ten eight, But
-
what saith thee that the Word is nigh thee even
-
in thy mouth and in thy heart. That is the
-
word of faith which we preach, that if you shall
-
confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in
-
your heart that God has raised him from the dead,
-
you shall be saved, healed, delivered, set free, and made whole.
-
That's how it would read in the Greek the word
-
solzo or soteria. For with the heart verse ten, man
-
believeth unto righteousness or resulting in righteousness or right standing.
-
And with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, healing, deliverance, preservation,
-
and soundness. For the scripture saith. Whoever believeth on him
-
shall not be ashamed. Notice verse ten. With the heart,
-
man believeth With the heart, man believes. Recall, we did
-
number of weeks teaching on speaking to the mountain and
-
mountain moving faith Mark eleven, twenty two to twenty four.
-
Jesus had have the faith of God, who use ever
-
shall say unto the mountain, be thu removed, and be
-
thou cast into the sea, shall not doubt in his heart,
-
not doubt in his head, but doubt in his heart.
-
I like what brother Hagen says. You can have doubt
-
in your head and faith in your heart. And still
-
get the answer. Not doubt in your head. But he said,
-
just when you speak to the mountain, when you release
-
your faith, don't doubt in your heart, but believe that
-
what you say comes the past, and you'll have whatever
-
you say. Mark or Verse twenty four says, what things
-
serve you desire. When you pray, believe, you receive them,
-
and you'll have them with the heart, man believeth We
-
must believe with the heart. Knowing things in the head
-
is not the same as faith in the heart. See
-
a lot of people they know things in their head. Well,
-
I know that you talk to him about the Word,
-
you talk to him about scriptural things, scriptural principles. Well
-
I know that I've read that. Ye've heard that, But
-
that doesn't mean they have faith. Just knowing things in
-
your head is not necessarily true Bible faith. We have
-
to have faith in our heart. A lot of people
-
know things in their head, but it needs to drop
-
down from the head into the heart. We need to
-
get it on the inside of of us, in our
-
innermost being. Knowledge is not faith. Faith is not knowledge.
-
Remember what Proverbs three five to six is Trust in
-
Yahweh with all your heart, with all your heart, and
-
lean not to your own head. I'm paraphrasing, lean not
-
to your own understanding, your reasoning, your mind, your head.
-
Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not
-
to your own understanding, and all your ways. Acknowledge him
-
and he will direct your path. Now, sometimes a little
-
difficult to understand heart or define heart. We're going to
-
do a little bit of that tonight. But to just
-
simplify it, you know, as people say, well, how do
-
I know it's my heart? Well, just keep it To
-
make it real simple, I would say to somebody, well,
-
what happens when you fall in love is that with
-
your head or with your heart? It's not your head.
-
I mean, if it's with your head, there's by a
-
problem there. But don't you don't you know, meet somebody
-
and then after a while say well, after many months
-
I've been about thinking about this and making computations in
-
my mind and factual analysis, I've come to the conclusion
-
that yes, as a result of this factual basis, I
-
do love you. That would be loving the head. But
-
when it's in the heart, you know it, it's different
-
than the head. And faith has to be in our heart,
-
our whole being. If you would so lean not to
-
your own understanding. You don't believe God with your head
-
any more than you believe in with your feelings or
-
your eyes or your ears. It says, believe with your heart,
-
your innermost being. Now, this is where a lot of
-
folk get mixed up, because they'll stand on the word
-
of God, or they'll hear principles of faith, or say
-
a message of healing, divine healing, or any of the
-
promises of God, and they'll say, well, I stood on
-
the word of God. I believed, will say healing. I
-
believe that I was healed, and I confess the word
-
and believe the promises. But I must not be healed
-
because I don't feel healed. So hence they think they're
-
did not receive healing because they don't feel healed. Or
-
they'll say I don't look healed, and I always say, well,
-
your feelings were not made for believing, your eyes in
-
your ears were not made or believing your heart was
-
made for believing to say that I must not be healed. Now,
-
if you listen to what I'm saying, this could help
-
some people. I must not be healed because I don't
-
feel healed. Would be like for me to stand here
-
and say I need one of the ushers to turn
-
the lights on, and they look at me and they say,
-
well passor the lights are on. No they're not on.
-
I can't smell them. Turn the lights on, they are on. No,
-
they must not be on. I can't smell them. You
-
know what, my nose was not made for seeing, and
-
your feelings were not made for believing. Or to say,
-
you know, somebody turned the air conditioner on because I
-
can't hear it. I can't hear it. Well, my ears
-
were not made for feeling, and your ears or your
-
eyes are not made for believing. It's your heart that
-
may for believing it. So many times people base their
-
believing on what they feel or what they see, or
-
what they hear from the doctor, from other people or
-
something like that. It must be based on the word
-
of God and what God's word saith. Go to Proverbs
-
chapter four. Proverbs chapter four. We've been spending some time
-
in here looking at God's medicine. I want to look
-
at it from a little slightly different angle tonight. Proverbs
-
chapter four, verse twenty. With the heart, man believeth. With
-
the heart, man believeth, Probably four twenty to twenty two.
-
My son, my daughter, attend to my words incline thine.
-
Ear onto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes.
-
Keep them in the midst of thine heart. Keep them
-
in the midst of Thine heart, for they are life
-
under those that find them in health. We looked at this.
-
It's the Hebrew word marpe, which is a derivative of
-
the Hebrew word rapa yahweh rafa Exodus fifteen twenty six,
-
where God said, I am the Lord that healeth you.
-
I'm the Lord, your doctor, your physician, i am your
-
healer rapha. Here it says his words are life to
-
those who find them in health healing. The word health
-
here in the Hebrew means healing, medicine, remedy, and cure.
-
In fact, anytime I quote this, it just automatically comes
-
out that way word life to me and health, healing, medicine, remedy,
-
and cure. Just like anytime I quote salvation, it just
-
comes out salvation, healing, deliverance, preservation, and soundness. You should
-
train yourself to think that way and talk that way,
-
because that's what it literally means. We miss out on
-
God's best by just focusing on one aspect. I was
-
reading a Jewish study Bible this week, and I was
-
reading what they had about the word shalom. Because I'm
-
tremendously interested in shalom and I've taught on that before, wholeness, completeness, wellness.
-
I thought, I wonder what they got to say about
-
shalom and it said as I looked it up, they said,
-
it is impossible to define with one word. Yes, that's
-
what I've thought for years. It's impossible to define it
-
with one word such as peace. Like I've said before,
-
to say shalom is peace is like saying the Pacific
-
Ocean is a body of water. Well, it's a body
-
of water, but it's a whole lot more than that.
-
They'll denturing Lake Wawasee in the Pacific Ocean, you know,
-
like saying the Grand Canyon as a hole in the ground. Well,
-
it's a little more than a hole in the ground.
-
And shalom is a whole lot more than just peace.
-
So we need to train ourselves to receive the fullness
-
of what God has for us now not is Verse
-
twenty two. For their life to those that find them
-
in health, healing, medicine, remedy and cure to all their flesh.
-
Keep thy, keep thy verse twenty three, keep thy wet
-
heart with all diligence, For out of it are the
-
forces of life. Out of it are the forces of life. Now,
-
if we didn't have any other scriptures on healing and
-
health than these right here, you know, we would still
-
know that God wants us healed and in health, even
-
if we didn't have any other scriptures other than just these,
-
and we have a whole lot more. But right here
-
the scripture tells us God wants us healed and in health,
-
and not only tells us so, but tells us how
-
to get it, tells us how to get it. Now,
-
if healing in health wasn't his will, why would God
-
tell us how to get it? If it wasn't his will,
-
why would he tell us how to get it? He
-
tells us how to get it right here. Surely he
-
would to tell us how to get something that wasn't
-
It wasn't his will for us to have, And he
-
tells us how to have healing in health and Hollness said,
-
attend to my words and cline your to my sayings.
-
Let them not depart from before your eyes keep them
-
in the midst of your heart, and there'll be life
-
to those who find them. In health, medicine, remedy, and
-
cure to all their flesh. He gives us the recipe
-
for healing and for health. He tells us exactly how
-
it works. He says his words are medicine to all
-
our flesh, medicine to all our flesh. He doesn't say
-
his words are like medicine. That's how a lot of
-
folk read that. Oh, his words are like medicine. No,
-
it doesn't say it's like. He says they are medicine
-
his words. Remember last week we talked about words of life,
-
words of life. If you weren't here, I'd encourage you
-
to get that message and listen to it. If you
-
were here, I'd encourage you to get it or go
-
online and listen to it again.
-
Words of life. God's word is life. We need it
-
more than food for our bodies. God's word is full
-
of life.
-
His word contains words of life, as opposed to words
-
of death. Words of life. It matters what you hear,
-
It matters what you feed on, It matters what you
-
put into you. Good things will help you, Bad things
-
will hurt you. You are what you eat, physically as
-
well as spiritually and emostly and mentally. God's word is
-
full of life. His words are medicine to all our flesh.
-
Look how the Living Bible reads here, we'll have it
-
on the screens. Is God's words will mean real life
-
for you, and radiant health. Real life for you, and
-
radiant health should be in the notes there. Not you
-
don't need to go to the program, but in the
-
notes there radiant health. His words are radiant health. How
-
many would like that radiant health? Hallelujah? Only about half
-
of you. That's a shame. How many would like that
-
radiant health? All right? God's word translation, My words are
-
life to those who find them, and they heal the
-
whole body. They heal the whole body. So he says,
-
guard your heart more than anything else, because the source
-
of your life flows from it. The source of your
-
life flows from it. His words are health to your
-
whole body, to all your flesh. How much of your flesh,
-
all your flesh that would be from the top of
-
your head to the tips of your toes, from fingertip
-
to fingertip, that would be all your flesh. He says,
-
My words are health, healing, medicine, remedying, cure to all
-
your flesh. God's Word is medicine when we believe it
-
with the heart, even now as I'm preaching, or other
-
times when you hear the word of God, if you
-
are receiving it, let me say this way. If you
-
are hearing it in faith and receiving it in faith,
-
you know what. It's medicine to you, and it's working.
-
If you hear the word of God and you mix
-
it with faith, then you're taking the medicine. You're taking
-
medicine right now, right now. Now, think about how does
-
medicine work. You don't take a tablet and in three
-
seconds all the symptoms are gone. That truly would be
-
a miracle drug. But it doesn't work that way. You
-
don't take a tablet and say wow, three seconds there
-
that's gone. Go your merry way. But what is typical
-
of medicine. It's progressive. Remember Jesus said, you'll lay hands
-
on the sick and they will recover. Said the nobleman's
-
son began to amend. From that hour, says of the
-
ten lepers. As they went, they were healed. Now in
-
Jesus ministry, people it wasn't very long because he was
-
operating under an anointing like nobody's ever operated on, because
-
he had to the spirit without measure, and he was sinless.
-
I mean, when you, when this spirit of God can
-
find a vessel that is sinless and has the spirit
-
without measure, that the annoying is going to be so strong.
-
But nonetheless, a lot of things happened progressively. They start unnoticeable,
-
but you keep getting better and better and better until
-
every symptom is gone and you have the full manifestation.
-
Remember Mary, when the Angel appeared to her, she said,
-
be it unto me, according to thy word. She believed
-
the word. Well, she didn't get pregnant. I mean, she
-
can't give birth the next day. It was nine months
-
before she gave birth. But it began the minute she believed.
-
The Angel said to her, blessed is she that believes
-
there shall be a performance of those things which were
-
spoken under her. It's out reads in the literal, there
-
shall be a performance of those things that were spoken
-
unto her. Or all things are possible to those who believe.
-
So oftentimes it's progressive. Now, when the spirit of God
-
is moving, when the gifts of the spirit of moving.
-
There are many times instantaneous manifestations. But if you notice,
-
even in large gatherings, you can have thousands of people
-
and really just a small number of those thousands receive
-
an instantaneous manifestations as the spirit wills. And we don't
-
fully understand how it all works and why. But the
-
word of God we know is reliable. Believing the word
-
of God is reliable, he says, it's health, healing, medicine,
-
remedy and cure to all your flesh. John G. Lake
-
a tremendous pioneer of faith and minister of healing, he
-
said in his writings he said, sometimes I think our
-
instantaneous healings are actually a curse for us, because he said,
-
people that get them, they just tend to go right
-
back on their way and forget all about it and
-
do their own thing and don't learn anything about faith,
-
and don't continue in the word, don't build their faith up.
-
But as you continue to feed on God's word, read
-
God's word, study God's word. His word is life and
-
health and medicine, remedy and cure to all your flesh,
-
to all your flesh, medicine. Now, things are often inert
-
until mixed with an activator. When it comes to medicine
-
or chemicals and things like that, you can have something
-
that's just it's just dormant until you mix it with
-
the right thing. And then sometimes you mix it with
-
you take take somebody's just sitting there doing nothing. But
-
if you mix the right things, whether you can have
-
an explosion, or it can start bubbling, or it can
-
do all kinds of things. Once you mix with something
-
that's just lying there dormant. Well, when it comes to
-
the Word of God, we need to mix faith with it,
-
believe it in our heart. Go to Hebrews chapter four.
-
Hebrews chapter four. It's so important that we take the
-
word of God, believe it in our heart, mix faith
-
with it, and it comes alive. It begins to work.
-
Now I don't propose to have the final word on it,
-
but after many years of study about the heart and
-
trying to discern, well, what's the entry and the spirit
-
and the soul and the heart and the flesh and
-
these different things, I've come to the conclusion and the persuasion.
-
You know, for many years it was taught that the
-
heart is the spirit. But there's problems with that because
-
Jesus said one place said how the heart of man
-
come adultery and fornication and lies, and how the heart
-
of man, Well, that couldn't be the recreated spirit. But
-
yet other places it seems to refer to the spirit.
-
Other places it seems to refer to the soul, the
-
mind of will, emotions, and intellect. I'm persuaded that the
-
heart is the spirit and the soul combined, that the
-
heart contains both the spirit and the soul. And some
-
proof texts for that would be Romans. We won't turn
-
there for sake of time, but Romans, well, maybe we
-
should hold your place there in Hebrews and go to
-
Romans chapter two, Romans chapter two. And in fact I
-
first heard Bob Yandy and the pastor and Tulsa, the
-
former professor teacher at Raymad Bible Training Center, allude to this.
-
And he said he was talking about how he said
-
a lot of times the different instructors and teachers that
-
Ray would get together and they'd say, what is the heart?
-
How do we figure out what the heart is? Because
-
obviously someplace it can't just be the spirit, and other
-
places it is and that and look at Romans two
-
twenty nine, it gives us some insight into the heart.
-
But he is a Jew who is one inwardly. And
-
circumcision is that of the heart in the spirit, of
-
the heart in the spirit, with the understanding that the
-
spirit is a part of the heart in the spirit,
-
the heart in the spirit. And then if you go
-
over to first Peter chapter three one Peter chapter three,
-
in verse three it talks about godly women, who says,
-
whose adorning. Let it not be that outward adorning of
-
braiding the hair, and of wearing of gold and the
-
putting on of apparel verse four, But let it be
-
the hidden man of the heart, in that which is
-
not creftible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit.
-
So so for I would I believe that the heart
-
contains means, the spirit and the soul. One it's talking
-
about believe with the heart. It's to believe it in
-
our spirit and be persuaded in our mind, to have
-
a renewed mind, to have it down in our heart,
-
or we've meditated on it. Proverbs four kind of gives
-
us the formula forgetting it in our heart. It says,
-
attend to it, incline your ears to it, Let it
-
not depart from before your eyes, keep it in the
-
midst of your heart. That if we will attend to it,
-
incline our ears to it, don't let it depart from
-
our before eyes, it'll get down into our heart. See
-
the word of God to become medicine to us and
-
for us to believe it with our heart. And a
-
lot of times, whether we want to admit it or not,
-
our problem in receiving is we're not believing with the heart.
-
We're just acknowledging it with the head. We just say, oh, yeah,
-
I believe that, or I know that, but we don't
-
really believe it in the heart. And it says with
-
the heart, man, believeth Jesus a doubt, not in your heart.
-
Guard your heart with all diligence. So to get it
-
down in our heart, we need to attend to it.
-
We need to incline our ear to it. We need
-
to let it not depart from before our eyes. We
-
need to keep it, guard it. Why would God tell
-
us to attend to it, to incline our ears to it,
-
to let him not depart from before us, to keep
-
keep in the midst of our heart. Why would he
-
say that because there's a whole lot of people that
-
are not doing that. He would not tell us we
-
had to do all those things if everybody was automatically
-
doing it. See the Word of God, reading it, studying it.
-
It's not a one time thing. This is not like
-
other books. Well, you can read them one time and
-
say okay, I read it and I'm done, and probably
-
never read it again. You think I may books you've
-
read over your life. Well, probably some people could count
-
on two hands how many they've read over their life.
-
You know some people they never read, but then other
-
people are voracious readers. But whatever the case, say how
-
many books you read over your life, and very few
-
of them you read more than once. It's got to
-
be a really really good book to read more than once.
-
But the Bible is not like that. It's not like
-
when you read it and you say, okay, I read it,
-
I'm done. It's to be read, studied, meditated on, constantly, continually, prayerfully, diligently,
-
reverently read it all the time, all the time. You
-
know a lot of folking read through the whole Bible.
-
They call themselves Christians. I'm saying you'll lose your salvation.
-
But it's gonna be a little embarrassing when you go
-
to heaven meet a zekei and he says, Hi, have
-
you read my book? And you go, uh, Nope, Jonah, Jonah,
-
have you read my book? Nope. It's just good to
-
get an overview, and a one year Bible is a
-
great help to doing that. Take that one year Bible
-
and just you know, it'll keep you on course. It'll
-
keep you on track. I estimate I've read through the
-
whole Bible over thirty times, just through that one year Bible.
-
And this year I took a break and I noticed
-
my Bible reading is not as good as it's been
-
when I got the one year Bible. Still reading it,
-
but I said, I'm not not as on track as
-
I would be if I had the one year Bible going.
-
So I'm probably get it out again next year. But
-
get into the word regularly, consistently, constant, careful, diligent, reverend,
-
prayerful study of God's Word as we practice all four
-
of those things and proverbs for attend to it and
-
cline your ear to it, let it not depart from
-
before your eyes, keep it in the misyard. That's how
-
it gets down into your heart, read it, study it,
-
meditate it, and you get it down in your heart,
-
get your mind renewed to it. You believe with your heart,
-
and you see it come to pass as Jesus said,
-
it's supposed to work. Now, look at Hebrews chapter four,
-
verse two. For unto us was the gospel preached as
-
well as unto them. But the word preached did not
-
profit them, not being mixed with faith, not being mixed
-
with faith in them, that hurt it. So people can
-
and hear the word preach to them. They can hear
-
a tremendous message, an anointed message, a powerful message, but
-
if they don't mix faith with it, it's not going
-
to profit them. So we must mix faith with it.
-
Dake and his commentary on this verse says, the idea
-
is that of the human body, in this idea mixing
-
with it. He said, this word in the Greek, it's
-
like it's taken from the human body, which kept alive
-
by the proper mixing of food with the saliva and
-
the gastric juices. Should this mixture not take place, such
-
food would be a means of death rather than life.
-
So he said, if somebody takes in food but it's
-
not properly mixed with saliva and gastric juices. The very
-
thing that should produce life produces death and the word
-
of God. If it's not properly mixed with faith, with
-
believing in the heart, it can actually produce a form
-
of death rather than life. So what does it mean
-
to mix faith with it? Well, let's look at before
-
we close there just what it doesn't mean. And I
-
think God helps us know what it does mean. To
-
mix faith with it means as you hear the word,
-
as you read the words, you study your word, don't
-
reject it, don't doubt it, don't ignore it, don't be
-
distracted from it. You know, when you're reading on your own,
-
guard against your mind being distracted, in your mind wandering.
-
And as long as the devil knows he can gets
-
you to do that, he'll just wreak havoc in your
-
life till you teach him that, No, I'm not going
-
to be distracted no matter what you do, I'm going
-
to focus. I'm going to focus. When you're in church.
-
Teach yourself when you're in a meeting, in the words
-
being preached teachers, well, not to be distracted, to focus.
-
The lock in on what's being said. Somebody gets up
-
and goes to the bathroom. You've seen it once, you'll
-
see it a thousand times. It's amazing, though. Notice, especially
-
on Sunday morning, I'll be preached along. Somebody gets something
-
and goes the bathroom. She's about fifteen heads. It's like
-
they're just going to the bathroom. There's nothing to see,
-
and you're going to possibly miss the very thing that
-
could turn your life around. But we're so easily distracted.
-
Somebody start looking at the fans. You know, it's hello.
-
You know I'm saying something may help you here. You know, Wow,
-
I didn't know there's all those knotholes in there. One knotholes.
-
It's like, we get so easily Oh what does she
-
have on today? Where'd she get that? I wanted? We
-
had to talk to about that, you know, so easily distracted,
-
so easily distracted. I like what her brother Coplan say,
-
He said, you ought to be so focus, so locked
-
into the word of God. They're in a meeting. If
-
the lights go off and a bomb goes off, you
-
just sit there and say, keep preaching, keep preaching. You know,
-
that's locked in, that's focused, that's how important because the
-
word is life. It's life. It's life now. You know,
-
even right now as I'm preaching, there could be somebody
-
you just didn't hear a word I said the last
-
five minutes because your mind I said something in your
-
mind went off on something else, you know. But that's
-
why you got to train yourself to focus. I'll tell
-
you a great thing to do. It's not easy, but
-
it works. It was when somebody's preaching, repeat back in
-
your mind everything that said. Wow, you want to really
-
soak out of a message, all that's in there, It's amazing.
-
Right after they say it, you say it back in
-
your mind. And I and I work on doing that.
-
Most of the time I'm not listening, I'm preaching. But
-
when I do that, I do real good for about
-
five or ten minutes. You know. The next thing, I know, Oh,
-
I forgot to do that. But you got to train yourself.
-
You just repeat it back to yourself. Hopefully some of
-
you are doing it right now, repeating it back to yourself,
-
and you'll realize you'll get a whole lot more out
-
of a message. You ever listen to a message on
-
CD or tape or maybe you're there live and you
-
hear it, and then you get the CD or tape
-
and then you re listen to it. I mean, I've
-
been in meetings before, we've had guest speakers in and
-
I got the CD and I listened to it, and
-
it'll be like five minutes. I'm going, Where was I.
-
I didn't even hear that. I was there on the
-
front row nodding in agreement. I didn't even hear it.
-
It's amazing how we can Our minds can wander. Some
-
people's minds can wander a whole lot more readily and
-
easily than other people's minds. But we're to take every
-
thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ. Bring your
-
mind into line, and say we're going to focus. We're
-
going to mix faith with the word of God. Don't
-
be distracted. Joshua and Caleb, they mixed faith with the
-
word of God. God said, I've given you the land,
-
and they mixed faith with They said, our God is
-
well able, we can do it. The Ten Spies and
-
the children of Israel, they didn't mix faith with it. Yeah,
-
God said it, but yeah, we know he said it.
-
But that's how a lot of people are. Yeah, but
-
they didn't mix faith with it. They didn't receive the promise.
-
They didn't go into the promised land. They did not
-
go into the promised land. We read it last week,
-
I think and Luke. It says that Jesus went and
-
he preached, and the power of the Lord was present
-
to heal them. And none of them were getting healed
-
even though the power was present. Why because nobody was
-
mixing faith with it until they let the man down
-
through the roof, and it said Jesus, seeing their faith,
-
said rise, take up your bed and walk. They mixed
-
faith with the word of God, so we must mix
-
faith with it. Morgan G. Campbell said this, we'll have
-
the quote on the screen. Where faith is lacking, the
-
provisions of God are unavailing or unavailable. Where faith is lacking,
-
the provisions of God are unavailing. In other words, we
-
don't have faith, we don't receive the provision. Matthew Henry
-
and his commentary said, there have been in all ages
-
many unprofitable hearers, and unbelief is at the root of
-
all unfruitfulness under the word. There have been in all
-
ages many unprofitable hearers, and unbelief is at the root
-
of all unfruitfulness under the word. Faith in the hearer
-
is the life of the word. Faith in the hearer
-
is the life of the word. Warsby comments. Only as
-
the word is mixed with faith can it accomplish its purposes.
-
Only when it's mixed with faith can it accomplish his purpose.
-
God's word is medicine. It's actually time released medicine. You
-
take it, and keep taking it, and keep taking it,
-
and you get better and better and better and more
-
and more healed and whole and complete. Time release medicine.
-
Just keep taking there's the medicine. There's no medicine like
-
God's medicine. I mean, every medicine, it doesn't matter what is,
-
even an aspirin, has potential adverse side effects. Every medicine.
-
I'm not against medicine, but people folk need to realize
-
they take medicine, there are potential adverse side effects. And
-
I know people that are taking medicine to overcome the
-
side effects of the other medicine, of the side effects
-
of the first medicine that they're taking. They're taking four
-
and five medicines and the second, third, and fourth and
-
fifth one are to deal with the side effects from
-
the first and second one so potential adverse. God's word
-
has no adverse side effects except life and joy and
-
peace and freedom and victory. If you want to say
-
those are adverse, and they're not. God's word is medicine,
-
but it does no good until we find it. It's
-
life to those who find it. We have to find it,
-
we have to acquire it, we have to take it
-
according to directions, and we have to mix faith with it.
-
Let's look at it one more time. As we close.
-
God's direction, his prescription for taking his medicine, his word
-
real simple. Here four things. Attend to God's word. Incline
-
your ear to God's word. Let not God's word depart
-
from your eyes, and keep it in the midst of
-
your heart. Keep God's word, And as we looked at before,
-
it entails the whole being, mind, eyes, ears, mouth, tongue,
-
the whole being, the heart. Really, the heart is the
-
whole man, the whole being. Hallelujah. Somebody define heart dostly,
-
they said, the heart is the seat of the total personality.
-
Where to keep our hearts with all diligence. What we
-
hear is important, what we study is important, what we
-
see is important. We should recognize that out of the
-
heart will come all the great issues of life. Think
-
of it. Out of your heart come all the issues
-
of life. Guard your heart. Get into the Word of God.
-
It's medicine, medicine. Believe with your heart. How do I
-
get it into my heart? Attend to it and cline
-
your ear to it. Keep it before your eyes. What
-
you hear is important. What you study is important. What
-
you see is important. Guard your heart. Guard what goes
-
into your mind, what goes into your eyes, what goes
-
into your heart, guard it, guard it. Feed on the
-
word of God. Don't feed on the junk of this world,
-
the doubt and the unbelief, and the fear and the negativity.
-
That's not going to produce faith. It's going to produce
-
doubt and fear. Fathering the name of Jesus, we thank you.
-
Your words are life to us, for we have found
-
them in health, healing, medicine, remedy and cure to all
-
our flesh. We thank you, Lord God for your living word.
-
Lord it, as we believe it with our heart, as
-
we mix faith with the Word of God, it becomes
-
life to us. It's alive, it's powerful, it's sharper than
-
any two edged sword. Lord, we thank you. Your word
-
is continually working in us. It's medicine, continually progressively, constantly
-
working in us, as we feed on it, as we
-
take your word, as we as we receive your word
-
into our hearts, as we believe it with our heart.
-
For with the heart man believes with the your mouth,
-
confession is made.
-
Hallelujah.
-
We praise you for it. Lord God, We bless you
-
for it in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Glory, glory, glory, Hallelujah,
-
Thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus.
-
Hallelujah, hallelujah.
-
Praise your Father for your healing virtue, your healing power,
-
your healing life, glory, glory, glory, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, Thank
-
you Lord, Thank you Lord, Thank you Father. Let's stand up.
-
We're going to sing this song and closing, and I'm
-
impressed to just closed by doing this. As we're singing
-
this song, if you would like hands laid on you
-
or anointed with oil, I'm going to invite you to
-
as we're singing, if you'd like prayer to come up.
-
I'm gonna ask John, Jerry and Connie to come up
-
and pray as well, So I'll ask them to be
-
over there if you, if you too, would and I'll
-
be over here and if you if you, you know,
-
sometimes it's easier for people to go to somebody that
-
they don't know and doesn't know their circumstances situation. If
-
you prefer to go to them, I won't be offended
-
at all, you know, won't bother me or if you
-
want to, I'll be here as well, and we'll both
-
be available to lay hands on you, anoint you with oil, uh,
-
and just believe God with you for healing wholeness if
-
that's your desire. So as we sing this, if you'd
-
like prayer, come on up and we'll minister to you
-
and uh if you if you don't need a prayer
-
to saying and pray for people that are coming up.
-
Hallelujah.
-
