  6. Old Man Healing. Our second session, the theme is here

  7. and be healed. We've looked at more than one time

  8. where Jesus when they came for healing, they first heard,

  9. they heard, and then were healed. And we have to

  10. believe believe with the heart. So we want to talk

  11. about with the heart tonight in receiving healing and wholeness

  12. or any of the promises of God. Scripture tells us

  13. that we must believe with the heart, believe with the heart.

  14. True Bible faith is a matter of the heart, not

  15. the head. Knowledge is not faith. Faith is not knowledge.

  16. So we'll look a little tonight as much as we

  17. can and what is true Bible faith? What is the heart?

  18. How do we get the Word in our heart? And

  19. how do we believe with the heart? Now look at

  20. Romans chapter ten and verse eight. Romans ten eight, But

  21. what saith thee that the Word is nigh thee even

  22. in thy mouth and in thy heart. That is the

  23. word of faith which we preach, that if you shall

  24. confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in

  25. your heart that God has raised him from the dead,

  26. you shall be saved, healed, delivered, set free, and made whole.

  27. That's how it would read in the Greek the word

  28. solzo or soteria. For with the heart verse ten, man

  29. believeth unto righteousness or resulting in righteousness or right standing.

  30. And with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, healing, deliverance, preservation,

  31. and soundness. For the scripture saith. Whoever believeth on him

  32. shall not be ashamed. Notice verse ten. With the heart,

  33. man believeth With the heart, man believes. Recall, we did

  34. number of weeks teaching on speaking to the mountain and

  35. mountain moving faith Mark eleven, twenty two to twenty four.

  36. Jesus had have the faith of God, who use ever

  37. shall say unto the mountain, be thu removed, and be

  38. thou cast into the sea, shall not doubt in his heart,

  39. not doubt in his head, but doubt in his heart.

  40. I like what brother Hagen says. You can have doubt

  41. in your head and faith in your heart. And still

  42. get the answer. Not doubt in your head. But he said,

  43. just when you speak to the mountain, when you release

  44. your faith, don't doubt in your heart, but believe that

  45. what you say comes the past, and you'll have whatever

  46. you say. Mark or Verse twenty four says, what things

  47. serve you desire. When you pray, believe, you receive them,

  48. and you'll have them with the heart, man believeth We

  49. must believe with the heart. Knowing things in the head

  50. is not the same as faith in the heart. See

  51. a lot of people they know things in their head. Well,

  52. I know that you talk to him about the Word,

  53. you talk to him about scriptural things, scriptural principles. Well

  54. I know that I've read that. Ye've heard that, But

  55. that doesn't mean they have faith. Just knowing things in

  56. your head is not necessarily true Bible faith. We have

  57. to have faith in our heart. A lot of people

  58. know things in their head, but it needs to drop

  59. down from the head into the heart. We need to

  60. get it on the inside of of us, in our

  61. innermost being. Knowledge is not faith. Faith is not knowledge.

  62. Remember what Proverbs three five to six is Trust in

  63. Yahweh with all your heart, with all your heart, and

  64. lean not to your own head. I'm paraphrasing, lean not

  65. to your own understanding, your reasoning, your mind, your head.

  66. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not

  67. to your own understanding, and all your ways. Acknowledge him

  68. and he will direct your path. Now, sometimes a little

  69. difficult to understand heart or define heart. We're going to

  70. do a little bit of that tonight. But to just

  71. simplify it, you know, as people say, well, how do

  72. I know it's my heart? Well, just keep it To

  73. make it real simple, I would say to somebody, well,

  74. what happens when you fall in love is that with

  75. your head or with your heart? It's not your head.

  76. I mean, if it's with your head, there's by a

  77. problem there. But don't you don't you know, meet somebody

  78. and then after a while say well, after many months

  79. I've been about thinking about this and making computations in

  80. my mind and factual analysis, I've come to the conclusion

  81. that yes, as a result of this factual basis, I

  82. do love you. That would be loving the head. But

  83. when it's in the heart, you know it, it's different

  84. than the head. And faith has to be in our heart,

  85. our whole being. If you would so lean not to

  86. your own understanding. You don't believe God with your head

  87. any more than you believe in with your feelings or

  88. your eyes or your ears. It says, believe with your heart,

  89. your innermost being. Now, this is where a lot of

  90. folk get mixed up, because they'll stand on the word

  91. of God, or they'll hear principles of faith, or say

  92. a message of healing, divine healing, or any of the

  93. promises of God, and they'll say, well, I stood on

  94. the word of God. I believed, will say healing. I

  95. believe that I was healed, and I confess the word

  96. and believe the promises. But I must not be healed

  97. because I don't feel healed. So hence they think they're

  98. did not receive healing because they don't feel healed. Or

  99. they'll say I don't look healed, and I always say, well,

  100. your feelings were not made for believing, your eyes in

  101. your ears were not made or believing your heart was

  102. made for believing to say that I must not be healed. Now,

  103. if you listen to what I'm saying, this could help

  104. some people. I must not be healed because I don't

  105. feel healed. Would be like for me to stand here

  106. and say I need one of the ushers to turn

  107. the lights on, and they look at me and they say,

  108. well passor the lights are on. No they're not on.

  109. I can't smell them. Turn the lights on, they are on. No,

  110. they must not be on. I can't smell them. You

  111. know what, my nose was not made for seeing, and

  112. your feelings were not made for believing. Or to say,

  113. you know, somebody turned the air conditioner on because I

  114. can't hear it. I can't hear it. Well, my ears

  115. were not made for feeling, and your ears or your

  116. eyes are not made for believing. It's your heart that

  117. may for believing it. So many times people base their

  118. believing on what they feel or what they see, or

  119. what they hear from the doctor, from other people or

  120. something like that. It must be based on the word

  121. of God and what God's word saith. Go to Proverbs

  122. chapter four. Proverbs chapter four. We've been spending some time

  123. in here looking at God's medicine. I want to look

  124. at it from a little slightly different angle tonight. Proverbs

  125. chapter four, verse twenty. With the heart, man believeth. With

  126. the heart, man believeth, Probably four twenty to twenty two.

  127. My son, my daughter, attend to my words incline thine.

  128. Ear onto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes.

  129. Keep them in the midst of thine heart. Keep them

  130. in the midst of Thine heart, for they are life

  131. under those that find them in health. We looked at this.

  132. It's the Hebrew word marpe, which is a derivative of

  133. the Hebrew word rapa yahweh rafa Exodus fifteen twenty six,

  134. where God said, I am the Lord that healeth you.

  135. I'm the Lord, your doctor, your physician, i am your

  136. healer rapha. Here it says his words are life to

  137. those who find them in health healing. The word health

  138. here in the Hebrew means healing, medicine, remedy, and cure.

  139. In fact, anytime I quote this, it just automatically comes

  140. out that way word life to me and health, healing, medicine, remedy,

  141. and cure. Just like anytime I quote salvation, it just

  142. comes out salvation, healing, deliverance, preservation, and soundness. You should

  143. train yourself to think that way and talk that way,

  144. because that's what it literally means. We miss out on

  145. God's best by just focusing on one aspect. I was

  146. reading a Jewish study Bible this week, and I was

  147. reading what they had about the word shalom. Because I'm

  148. tremendously interested in shalom and I've taught on that before, wholeness, completeness, wellness.

  149. I thought, I wonder what they got to say about

  150. shalom and it said as I looked it up, they said,

  151. it is impossible to define with one word. Yes, that's

  152. what I've thought for years. It's impossible to define it

  153. with one word such as peace. Like I've said before,

  154. to say shalom is peace is like saying the Pacific

  155. Ocean is a body of water. Well, it's a body

  156. of water, but it's a whole lot more than that.

  157. They'll denturing Lake Wawasee in the Pacific Ocean, you know,

  158. like saying the Grand Canyon as a hole in the ground. Well,

  159. it's a little more than a hole in the ground.

  160. And shalom is a whole lot more than just peace.

  161. So we need to train ourselves to receive the fullness

  162. of what God has for us now not is Verse

  163. twenty two. For their life to those that find them

  164. in health, healing, medicine, remedy and cure to all their flesh.

  165. Keep thy, keep thy verse twenty three, keep thy wet

  166. heart with all diligence, For out of it are the

  167. forces of life. Out of it are the forces of life. Now,

  168. if we didn't have any other scriptures on healing and

  169. health than these right here, you know, we would still

  170. know that God wants us healed and in health, even

  171. if we didn't have any other scriptures other than just these,

  172. and we have a whole lot more. But right here

  173. the scripture tells us God wants us healed and in health,

  174. and not only tells us so, but tells us how

  175. to get it, tells us how to get it. Now,

  176. if healing in health wasn't his will, why would God

  177. tell us how to get it? If it wasn't his will,

  178. why would he tell us how to get it? He

  179. tells us how to get it right here. Surely he

  180. would to tell us how to get something that wasn't

  181. It wasn't his will for us to have, And he

  182. tells us how to have healing in health and Hollness said,

  183. attend to my words and cline your to my sayings.

  184. Let them not depart from before your eyes keep them

  185. in the midst of your heart, and there'll be life

  186. to those who find them. In health, medicine, remedy, and

  187. cure to all their flesh. He gives us the recipe

  188. for healing and for health. He tells us exactly how

  189. it works. He says his words are medicine to all

  190. our flesh, medicine to all our flesh. He doesn't say

  191. his words are like medicine. That's how a lot of

  192. folk read that. Oh, his words are like medicine. No,

  193. it doesn't say it's like. He says they are medicine

  194. his words. Remember last week we talked about words of life,

  195. words of life. If you weren't here, I'd encourage you

  196. to get that message and listen to it. If you

  197. were here, I'd encourage you to get it or go

  198. online and listen to it again.

  199. Words of life. God's word is life. We need it

  200. more than food for our bodies. God's word is full

  201. of life.

  202. His word contains words of life, as opposed to words

  203. of death. Words of life. It matters what you hear,

  204. It matters what you feed on, It matters what you

  205. put into you. Good things will help you, Bad things

  206. will hurt you. You are what you eat, physically as

  207. well as spiritually and emostly and mentally. God's word is

  208. full of life. His words are medicine to all our flesh.

  209. Look how the Living Bible reads here, we'll have it

  210. on the screens. Is God's words will mean real life

  211. for you, and radiant health. Real life for you, and

  212. radiant health should be in the notes there. Not you

  213. don't need to go to the program, but in the

  214. notes there radiant health. His words are radiant health. How

  215. many would like that radiant health? Hallelujah? Only about half

  216. of you. That's a shame. How many would like that

  217. radiant health? All right? God's word translation, My words are

  218. life to those who find them, and they heal the

  219. whole body. They heal the whole body. So he says,

  220. guard your heart more than anything else, because the source

  221. of your life flows from it. The source of your

  222. life flows from it. His words are health to your

  223. whole body, to all your flesh. How much of your flesh,

  224. all your flesh that would be from the top of

  225. your head to the tips of your toes, from fingertip

  226. to fingertip, that would be all your flesh. He says,

  227. My words are health, healing, medicine, remedying, cure to all

  228. your flesh. God's Word is medicine when we believe it

  229. with the heart, even now as I'm preaching, or other

  230. times when you hear the word of God, if you

  231. are receiving it, let me say this way. If you

  232. are hearing it in faith and receiving it in faith,

  233. you know what. It's medicine to you, and it's working.

  234. If you hear the word of God and you mix

  235. it with faith, then you're taking the medicine. You're taking

  236. medicine right now, right now. Now, think about how does

  237. medicine work. You don't take a tablet and in three

  238. seconds all the symptoms are gone. That truly would be

  239. a miracle drug. But it doesn't work that way. You

  240. don't take a tablet and say wow, three seconds there

  241. that's gone. Go your merry way. But what is typical

  242. of medicine. It's progressive. Remember Jesus said, you'll lay hands

  243. on the sick and they will recover. Said the nobleman's

  244. son began to amend. From that hour, says of the

  245. ten lepers. As they went, they were healed. Now in

  246. Jesus ministry, people it wasn't very long because he was

  247. operating under an anointing like nobody's ever operated on, because

  248. he had to the spirit without measure, and he was sinless.

  249. I mean, when you, when this spirit of God can

  250. find a vessel that is sinless and has the spirit

  251. without measure, that the annoying is going to be so strong.

  252. But nonetheless, a lot of things happened progressively. They start unnoticeable,

  253. but you keep getting better and better and better until

  254. every symptom is gone and you have the full manifestation.

  255. Remember Mary, when the Angel appeared to her, she said,

  256. be it unto me, according to thy word. She believed

  257. the word. Well, she didn't get pregnant. I mean, she

  258. can't give birth the next day. It was nine months

  259. before she gave birth. But it began the minute she believed.

  260. The Angel said to her, blessed is she that believes

  261. there shall be a performance of those things which were

  262. spoken under her. It's out reads in the literal, there

  263. shall be a performance of those things that were spoken

  264. unto her. Or all things are possible to those who believe.

  265. So oftentimes it's progressive. Now, when the spirit of God

  266. is moving, when the gifts of the spirit of moving.

  267. There are many times instantaneous manifestations. But if you notice,

  268. even in large gatherings, you can have thousands of people

  269. and really just a small number of those thousands receive

  270. an instantaneous manifestations as the spirit wills. And we don't

  271. fully understand how it all works and why. But the

  272. word of God we know is reliable. Believing the word

  273. of God is reliable, he says, it's health, healing, medicine,

  274. remedy and cure to all your flesh. John G. Lake

  275. a tremendous pioneer of faith and minister of healing, he

  276. said in his writings he said, sometimes I think our

  277. instantaneous healings are actually a curse for us, because he said,

  278. people that get them, they just tend to go right

  279. back on their way and forget all about it and

  280. do their own thing and don't learn anything about faith,

  281. and don't continue in the word, don't build their faith up.

  282. But as you continue to feed on God's word, read

  283. God's word, study God's word. His word is life and

  284. health and medicine, remedy and cure to all your flesh,

  285. to all your flesh, medicine. Now, things are often inert

  286. until mixed with an activator. When it comes to medicine

  287. or chemicals and things like that, you can have something

  288. that's just it's just dormant until you mix it with

  289. the right thing. And then sometimes you mix it with

  290. you take take somebody's just sitting there doing nothing. But

  291. if you mix the right things, whether you can have

  292. an explosion, or it can start bubbling, or it can

  293. do all kinds of things. Once you mix with something

  294. that's just lying there dormant. Well, when it comes to

  295. the Word of God, we need to mix faith with it,

  296. believe it in our heart. Go to Hebrews chapter four.

  297. Hebrews chapter four. It's so important that we take the

  298. word of God, believe it in our heart, mix faith

  299. with it, and it comes alive. It begins to work.

  300. Now I don't propose to have the final word on it,

  301. but after many years of study about the heart and

  302. trying to discern, well, what's the entry and the spirit

  303. and the soul and the heart and the flesh and

  304. these different things, I've come to the conclusion and the persuasion.

  305. You know, for many years it was taught that the

  306. heart is the spirit. But there's problems with that because

  307. Jesus said one place said how the heart of man

  308. come adultery and fornication and lies, and how the heart

  309. of man, Well, that couldn't be the recreated spirit. But

  310. yet other places it seems to refer to the spirit.

  311. Other places it seems to refer to the soul, the

  312. mind of will, emotions, and intellect. I'm persuaded that the

  313. heart is the spirit and the soul combined, that the

  314. heart contains both the spirit and the soul. And some

  315. proof texts for that would be Romans. We won't turn

  316. there for sake of time, but Romans, well, maybe we

  317. should hold your place there in Hebrews and go to

  318. Romans chapter two, Romans chapter two. And in fact I

  319. first heard Bob Yandy and the pastor and Tulsa, the

  320. former professor teacher at Raymad Bible Training Center, allude to this.

  321. And he said he was talking about how he said

  322. a lot of times the different instructors and teachers that

  323. Ray would get together and they'd say, what is the heart?

  324. How do we figure out what the heart is? Because

  325. obviously someplace it can't just be the spirit, and other

  326. places it is and that and look at Romans two

  327. twenty nine, it gives us some insight into the heart.

  328. But he is a Jew who is one inwardly. And

  329. circumcision is that of the heart in the spirit, of

  330. the heart in the spirit, with the understanding that the

  331. spirit is a part of the heart in the spirit,

  332. the heart in the spirit. And then if you go

  333. over to first Peter chapter three one Peter chapter three,

  334. in verse three it talks about godly women, who says,

  335. whose adorning. Let it not be that outward adorning of

  336. braiding the hair, and of wearing of gold and the

  337. putting on of apparel verse four, But let it be

  338. the hidden man of the heart, in that which is

  339. not creftible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit.

  340. So so for I would I believe that the heart

  341. contains means, the spirit and the soul. One it's talking

  342. about believe with the heart. It's to believe it in

  343. our spirit and be persuaded in our mind, to have

  344. a renewed mind, to have it down in our heart,

  345. or we've meditated on it. Proverbs four kind of gives

  346. us the formula forgetting it in our heart. It says,

  347. attend to it, incline your ears to it, Let it

  348. not depart from before your eyes, keep it in the

  349. midst of your heart. That if we will attend to it,

  350. incline our ears to it, don't let it depart from

  351. our before eyes, it'll get down into our heart. See

  352. the word of God to become medicine to us and

  353. for us to believe it with our heart. And a

  354. lot of times, whether we want to admit it or not,

  355. our problem in receiving is we're not believing with the heart.

  356. We're just acknowledging it with the head. We just say, oh, yeah,

  357. I believe that, or I know that, but we don't

  358. really believe it in the heart. And it says with

  359. the heart, man, believeth Jesus a doubt, not in your heart.

  360. Guard your heart with all diligence. So to get it

  361. down in our heart, we need to attend to it.

  362. We need to incline our ear to it. We need

  363. to let it not depart from before our eyes. We

  364. need to keep it, guard it. Why would God tell

  365. us to attend to it, to incline our ears to it,

  366. to let him not depart from before us, to keep

  367. keep in the midst of our heart. Why would he

  368. say that because there's a whole lot of people that

  369. are not doing that. He would not tell us we

  370. had to do all those things if everybody was automatically

  371. doing it. See the Word of God, reading it, studying it.

  372. It's not a one time thing. This is not like

  373. other books. Well, you can read them one time and

  374. say okay, I read it and I'm done, and probably

  375. never read it again. You think I may books you've

  376. read over your life. Well, probably some people could count

  377. on two hands how many they've read over their life.

  378. You know some people they never read, but then other

  379. people are voracious readers. But whatever the case, say how

  380. many books you read over your life, and very few

  381. of them you read more than once. It's got to

  382. be a really really good book to read more than once.

  383. But the Bible is not like that. It's not like

  384. when you read it and you say, okay, I read it,

  385. I'm done. It's to be read, studied, meditated on, constantly, continually, prayerfully, diligently,

  386. reverently read it all the time, all the time. You

  387. know a lot of folking read through the whole Bible.

  388. They call themselves Christians. I'm saying you'll lose your salvation.

  389. But it's gonna be a little embarrassing when you go

  390. to heaven meet a zekei and he says, Hi, have

  391. you read my book? And you go, uh, Nope, Jonah, Jonah,

  392. have you read my book? Nope. It's just good to

  393. get an overview, and a one year Bible is a

  394. great help to doing that. Take that one year Bible

  395. and just you know, it'll keep you on course. It'll

  396. keep you on track. I estimate I've read through the

  397. whole Bible over thirty times, just through that one year Bible.

  398. And this year I took a break and I noticed

  399. my Bible reading is not as good as it's been

  400. when I got the one year Bible. Still reading it,

  401. but I said, I'm not not as on track as

  402. I would be if I had the one year Bible going.

  403. So I'm probably get it out again next year. But

  404. get into the word regularly, consistently, constant, careful, diligent, reverend,

  405. prayerful study of God's Word as we practice all four

  406. of those things and proverbs for attend to it and

  407. cline your ear to it, let it not depart from

  408. before your eyes, keep it in the misyard. That's how

  409. it gets down into your heart, read it, study it,

  410. meditate it, and you get it down in your heart,

  411. get your mind renewed to it. You believe with your heart,

  412. and you see it come to pass as Jesus said,

  413. it's supposed to work. Now, look at Hebrews chapter four,

  414. verse two. For unto us was the gospel preached as

  415. well as unto them. But the word preached did not

  416. profit them, not being mixed with faith, not being mixed

  417. with faith in them, that hurt it. So people can

  418. and hear the word preach to them. They can hear

  419. a tremendous message, an anointed message, a powerful message, but

  420. if they don't mix faith with it, it's not going

  421. to profit them. So we must mix faith with it.

  422. Dake and his commentary on this verse says, the idea

  423. is that of the human body, in this idea mixing

  424. with it. He said, this word in the Greek, it's

  425. like it's taken from the human body, which kept alive

  426. by the proper mixing of food with the saliva and

  427. the gastric juices. Should this mixture not take place, such

  428. food would be a means of death rather than life.

  429. So he said, if somebody takes in food but it's

  430. not properly mixed with saliva and gastric juices. The very

  431. thing that should produce life produces death and the word

  432. of God. If it's not properly mixed with faith, with

  433. believing in the heart, it can actually produce a form

  434. of death rather than life. So what does it mean

  435. to mix faith with it? Well, let's look at before

  436. we close there just what it doesn't mean. And I

  437. think God helps us know what it does mean. To

  438. mix faith with it means as you hear the word,

  439. as you read the words, you study your word, don't

  440. reject it, don't doubt it, don't ignore it, don't be

  441. distracted from it. You know, when you're reading on your own,

  442. guard against your mind being distracted, in your mind wandering.

  443. And as long as the devil knows he can gets

  444. you to do that, he'll just wreak havoc in your

  445. life till you teach him that, No, I'm not going

  446. to be distracted no matter what you do, I'm going

  447. to focus. I'm going to focus. When you're in church.

  448. Teach yourself when you're in a meeting, in the words

  449. being preached teachers, well, not to be distracted, to focus.

  450. The lock in on what's being said. Somebody gets up

  451. and goes to the bathroom. You've seen it once, you'll

  452. see it a thousand times. It's amazing, though. Notice, especially

  453. on Sunday morning, I'll be preached along. Somebody gets something

  454. and goes the bathroom. She's about fifteen heads. It's like

  455. they're just going to the bathroom. There's nothing to see,

  456. and you're going to possibly miss the very thing that

  457. could turn your life around. But we're so easily distracted.

  458. Somebody start looking at the fans. You know, it's hello.

  459. You know I'm saying something may help you here. You know, Wow,

  460. I didn't know there's all those knotholes in there. One knotholes.

  461. It's like, we get so easily Oh what does she

  462. have on today? Where'd she get that? I wanted? We

  463. had to talk to about that, you know, so easily distracted,

  464. so easily distracted. I like what her brother Coplan say,

  465. He said, you ought to be so focus, so locked

  466. into the word of God. They're in a meeting. If

  467. the lights go off and a bomb goes off, you

  468. just sit there and say, keep preaching, keep preaching. You know,

  469. that's locked in, that's focused, that's how important because the

  470. word is life. It's life. It's life now. You know,

  471. even right now as I'm preaching, there could be somebody

  472. you just didn't hear a word I said the last

  473. five minutes because your mind I said something in your

  474. mind went off on something else, you know. But that's

  475. why you got to train yourself to focus. I'll tell

  476. you a great thing to do. It's not easy, but

  477. it works. It was when somebody's preaching, repeat back in

  478. your mind everything that said. Wow, you want to really

  479. soak out of a message, all that's in there, It's amazing.

  480. Right after they say it, you say it back in

  481. your mind. And I and I work on doing that.

  482. Most of the time I'm not listening, I'm preaching. But

  483. when I do that, I do real good for about

  484. five or ten minutes. You know. The next thing, I know, Oh,

  485. I forgot to do that. But you got to train yourself.

  486. You just repeat it back to yourself. Hopefully some of

  487. you are doing it right now, repeating it back to yourself,

  488. and you'll realize you'll get a whole lot more out

  489. of a message. You ever listen to a message on

  490. CD or tape or maybe you're there live and you

  491. hear it, and then you get the CD or tape

  492. and then you re listen to it. I mean, I've

  493. been in meetings before, we've had guest speakers in and

  494. I got the CD and I listened to it, and

  495. it'll be like five minutes. I'm going, Where was I.

  496. I didn't even hear that. I was there on the

  497. front row nodding in agreement. I didn't even hear it.

  498. It's amazing how we can Our minds can wander. Some

  499. people's minds can wander a whole lot more readily and

  500. easily than other people's minds. But we're to take every

  501. thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ. Bring your

  502. mind into line, and say we're going to focus. We're

  503. going to mix faith with the word of God. Don't

  504. be distracted. Joshua and Caleb, they mixed faith with the

  505. word of God. God said, I've given you the land,

  506. and they mixed faith with They said, our God is

  507. well able, we can do it. The Ten Spies and

  508. the children of Israel, they didn't mix faith with it. Yeah,

  509. God said it, but yeah, we know he said it.

  510. But that's how a lot of people are. Yeah, but

  511. they didn't mix faith with it. They didn't receive the promise.

  512. They didn't go into the promised land. They did not

  513. go into the promised land. We read it last week,

  514. I think and Luke. It says that Jesus went and

  515. he preached, and the power of the Lord was present

  516. to heal them. And none of them were getting healed

  517. even though the power was present. Why because nobody was

  518. mixing faith with it until they let the man down

  519. through the roof, and it said Jesus, seeing their faith,

  520. said rise, take up your bed and walk. They mixed

  521. faith with the word of God, so we must mix

  522. faith with it. Morgan G. Campbell said this, we'll have

  523. the quote on the screen. Where faith is lacking, the

  524. provisions of God are unavailing or unavailable. Where faith is lacking,

  525. the provisions of God are unavailing. In other words, we

  526. don't have faith, we don't receive the provision. Matthew Henry

  527. and his commentary said, there have been in all ages

  528. many unprofitable hearers, and unbelief is at the root of

  529. all unfruitfulness under the word. There have been in all

  530. ages many unprofitable hearers, and unbelief is at the root

  531. of all unfruitfulness under the word. Faith in the hearer

  532. is the life of the word. Faith in the hearer

  533. is the life of the word. Warsby comments. Only as

  534. the word is mixed with faith can it accomplish its purposes.

  535. Only when it's mixed with faith can it accomplish his purpose.

  536. God's word is medicine. It's actually time released medicine. You

  537. take it, and keep taking it, and keep taking it,

  538. and you get better and better and better and more

  539. and more healed and whole and complete. Time release medicine.

  540. Just keep taking there's the medicine. There's no medicine like

  541. God's medicine. I mean, every medicine, it doesn't matter what is,

  542. even an aspirin, has potential adverse side effects. Every medicine.

  543. I'm not against medicine, but people folk need to realize

  544. they take medicine, there are potential adverse side effects. And

  545. I know people that are taking medicine to overcome the

  546. side effects of the other medicine, of the side effects

  547. of the first medicine that they're taking. They're taking four

  548. and five medicines and the second, third, and fourth and

  549. fifth one are to deal with the side effects from

  550. the first and second one so potential adverse. God's word

  551. has no adverse side effects except life and joy and

  552. peace and freedom and victory. If you want to say

  553. those are adverse, and they're not. God's word is medicine,

  554. but it does no good until we find it. It's

  555. life to those who find it. We have to find it,

  556. we have to acquire it, we have to take it

  557. according to directions, and we have to mix faith with it.

  558. Let's look at it one more time. As we close.

  559. God's direction, his prescription for taking his medicine, his word

  560. real simple. Here four things. Attend to God's word. Incline

  561. your ear to God's word. Let not God's word depart

  562. from your eyes, and keep it in the midst of

  563. your heart. Keep God's word, And as we looked at before,

  564. it entails the whole being, mind, eyes, ears, mouth, tongue,

  565. the whole being, the heart. Really, the heart is the

  566. whole man, the whole being. Hallelujah. Somebody define heart dostly,

  567. they said, the heart is the seat of the total personality.

  568. Where to keep our hearts with all diligence. What we

  569. hear is important, what we study is important, what we

  570. see is important. We should recognize that out of the

  571. heart will come all the great issues of life. Think

  572. of it. Out of your heart come all the issues

  573. of life. Guard your heart. Get into the Word of God.

  574. It's medicine, medicine. Believe with your heart. How do I

  575. get it into my heart? Attend to it and cline

  576. your ear to it. Keep it before your eyes. What

  577. you hear is important. What you study is important. What

  578. you see is important. Guard your heart. Guard what goes

  579. into your mind, what goes into your eyes, what goes

  580. into your heart, guard it, guard it. Feed on the

  581. word of God. Don't feed on the junk of this world,

  582. the doubt and the unbelief, and the fear and the negativity.

  583. That's not going to produce faith. It's going to produce

  584. doubt and fear. Fathering the name of Jesus, we thank you.

  585. Your words are life to us, for we have found

  586. them in health, healing, medicine, remedy and cure to all

  587. our flesh. We thank you, Lord God for your living word.

  588. Lord it, as we believe it with our heart, as

  589. we mix faith with the Word of God, it becomes

  590. life to us. It's alive, it's powerful, it's sharper than

  591. any two edged sword. Lord, we thank you. Your word

  592. is continually working in us. It's medicine, continually progressively, constantly

  593. working in us, as we feed on it, as we

  594. take your word, as we as we receive your word

  595. into our hearts, as we believe it with our heart.

  596. For with the heart man believes with the your mouth,

  597. confession is made.

  598. Hallelujah.

  599. We praise you for it. Lord God, We bless you

  600. for it in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Glory, glory, glory, Hallelujah,

  601. Thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus.

  602. Hallelujah, hallelujah.

  603. Praise your Father for your healing virtue, your healing power,

  604. your healing life, glory, glory, glory, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, Thank

  605. you Lord, Thank you Lord, Thank you Father. Let's stand up.

  606. We're going to sing this song and closing, and I'm

  607. impressed to just closed by doing this. As we're singing

  608. this song, if you would like hands laid on you

  609. or anointed with oil, I'm going to invite you to

  610. as we're singing, if you'd like prayer to come up.

  611. I'm gonna ask John, Jerry and Connie to come up

  612. and pray as well, So I'll ask them to be

  613. over there if you, if you too, would and I'll

  614. be over here and if you if you, you know,

  615. sometimes it's easier for people to go to somebody that

  616. they don't know and doesn't know their circumstances situation. If

  617. you prefer to go to them, I won't be offended

  618. at all, you know, won't bother me or if you

  619. want to, I'll be here as well, and we'll both

  620. be available to lay hands on you, anoint you with oil, uh,

  621. and just believe God with you for healing wholeness if

  622. that's your desire. So as we sing this, if you'd

  623. like prayer, come on up and we'll minister to you

  624. and uh if you if you don't need a prayer

  625. to saying and pray for people that are coming up.

  626. Hallelujah.

  627. Thank you for listening. We hope that you enjoyed today's episode.
