  1. Welcome to Pinoy Tagalog Sermon Podcast, your daily dose of inspiring,

  2. heartfelt tagalog.

  3. Sermons from different pastors and speakers all over the Philippines.

  4. We hope that this podcast finds you in good shape.

  5. And now here's your message. Together, do we see this

  6. thing accomplished?

  7. Prayerfully as a church and we as family and the

  8. Body of Christ all over work together in unison. That

  9. we pray together in unity, and that we just cooperate

  10. in unison with our leaders and those that are giving

  11. us direction, and we will see this plague begin to subside.

  12. I said, we will see this plague begin to subside.

  13. So thank you for.

  14. Being connected and listen, please stay connected. We want to

  15. be connected to you, not only through this venue, but

  16. emails and phone calls and text messages. We need each

  17. other more than ever before. Now, if you would get

  18. a paper and pen, and I want you to take

  19. some notes as I share this morning. Also, if you

  20. don't get my email and brother don maybe mention of

  21. that earlier, please call the church tomorrow and give us

  22. your email because I'm going to email the notes out

  23. before every Sunday's message, so you have it already and

  24. you can follow along and even be more acquainted with it.

  25. If you haven't noticed, fear is everywhere right now, maybe

  26. you've witnessed it firstthand I know some in our staff

  27. have witnessed it out in the store's firsthand. Emotions are

  28. flying very high, opinions, speculations. Everywhere you turn, someone has

  29. something to say in regards to this. And we, as

  30. the Body of Christ, we as believer, must get to

  31. a place of balance and rest. I'll say it again,

  32. we must get to a place of balance and rest.

  33. We are witnessing firsthand the rapid shutdown of large gatherings,

  34. sporting events, colleges, schools, anything where people would be grouped

  35. together in any type of number whatsoever. Unfortunately, it hinders

  36. the Body of Christ at Victory, as well as all

  37. the other churches and our region, and our state and

  38. our whole nation right now from gathering to limit the

  39. transfer of any type of disease. I saw a really

  40. neat posts this week that someone sent in a picture.

  41. It says where two, but no more than ten are

  42. gathered in his name. You know you've got to find

  43. humor where you can, so make sure you are laughing

  44. through this. Have you ever lived in anything quite like

  45. this before. Never in my lifetime have I seen our

  46. whole nation brought to a standstill and have something of

  47. this type of invasion in our land. This is not

  48. an invasion of a foreign government coming in with violence

  49. and trying to destroy your life or your family. This

  50. is not a literal war with weapons, but a pestilence

  51. that's causing much fear, much concern, and it's unable to

  52. be detected by the naked eye, you.

  53. Know, if you think with me.

  54. Besides nine to eleven and some other terrorist attacks upon

  55. our land, we've not had to deal with much opposition

  56. within our borders until now, I said, until now, Well

  57. it's here, and what will we each do? What will

  58. we do as the body of Christ. So let me

  59. begin by saying we must cooperate with our leaders. They

  60. need our prayers. It's scripture that we pray for those

  61. that are authority because they're thinking of our well being

  62. and how to secure our safety and our health. So

  63. let me show you a few scriptures that will remind

  64. us of our responsibility. Tied Us three one and two

  65. remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities.

  66. So I'm reminding the people. I'm reminding you as Victory

  67. and others that are watching, to be obedient, to be

  68. ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one,

  69. to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle

  70. toward everyone. Jeanette has noticed this week when she's been

  71. out at the store, how people have been helping and

  72. been considering and helping reach to help people out that

  73. need assistance. That is so good as inconvenient as this is,

  74. and maybe the restriction scene right now, we're not being

  75. asked to deny Christ.

  76. Are you with me? We're not being.

  77. Asked to do something horrible like go have an abortion

  78. or deny scripture. We're being asked to limit our personal

  79. in person connections right now. Social distancing. That's the word,

  80. or that's the phrase that's being used.

  81. So that's what.

  82. We're going to do. We're going to cooperate. Hebrews thirteen,

  83. verse seventeen brings up something else. Have confidence in your leaders.

  84. So we need to have confidence in those that are

  85. trying to help us and submit to their authority because

  86. they keep watch over you. They're keeping watch over you.

  87. If we cooperate, is those who must give an account

  88. do this so that.

  89. Their work will be a joy, not a burden.

  90. And let me assure you our leaders locally, state and national,

  91. they are under a burden, so they need our prayers

  92. and support for that would be of no profit to you.

  93. So we need to be profitable. Well, So we're going

  94. to cooperate in Jesus' name, Amen, I want us to

  95. be a witness that makes our leader's responsibility in all

  96. capacities easy because I cooperate and I pray for them,

  97. and I help them, and I don't slander in any way.

  98. Hysteria and pandemonium right now just feel right beyond the

  99. shadows of our life. So many don't know what to do,

  100. what they're going to do next, their food, their work,

  101. their finances, their business, on and on. If you had

  102. any type of plans of travel, of anything that was

  103. going to be of expansion beyond this point, they've been

  104. brought to a halt. So we're all facing this. So

  105. let me as your pastor. I just want to have

  106. a conversation with you today. I know you can't talk back,

  107. but you can cheer me on from your house. Okay,

  108. I'm going to give you some points and some sub

  109. points under it.

  110. It'll move real quick. But take note of this and

  111. write it down. Number one.

  112. Intelligent caution is healthy. I said, intelligent caution is healthy.

  113. A point under that common sense, that's point number A.

  114. Examples those of you that are familiar with the area.

  115. We have one main road, Highway twenty seven. I know

  116. better than to try to cross the road blindfolded.

  117. That's intelligent caution. It's healthy.

  118. I know better than to drive my vehicle one hundred

  119. miles per hour in a forty five mile per hour

  120. speed zone. Foolishness and presumption are not examples of faith.

  121. They're not God has st laws in motion, which Satan,

  122. the god little g of this world in second Corinthians

  123. four to four, has corrupted. Point B under intelligent caution

  124. is healthy. Sin, disease, bondage, depression, deception, and other hosts

  125. of melodies are the result of Satan's rule over the earth.

  126. Because Satan is operating right now on the earth. Jesus

  127. dealt with this through his whole ministry.

  128. This is what he did.

  129. Let me read the story of the Ladies set free

  130. from the spirit of infirmity in Luke, chapter thirteen. On

  131. a sabbath, Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,

  132. and a woman was there who had been crippled by

  133. a spirit for eighteen years. Now, I'm not implying that

  134. every sickness is demonic from a spirit, but we know

  135. disease as a whole is not God's plan. So we

  136. do walk through this, whether it's just something our bodi's facing,

  137. or we've not been a good steward of our health.

  138. But for this woman, it was a demon. She has

  139. been old and could not straighten up at all. When

  140. Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, woman,

  141. you are set free from your infirmity. Then he put

  142. his hands on her. They didn't have social distancing at

  143. this point, okay, And immediately she straightened up and praised God.

  144. Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue

  145. leader said to the people, there are six days for work,

  146. so come and be healed on those days, not on

  147. the Sabbath.

  148. The Lord answered him, you hypocrites.

  149. Don't each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox

  150. or donkey from the stall and lead it out to

  151. give it water. Then should not this woman, a daughter

  152. of Abraham whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years,

  153. be set free on the Sabbath day.

  154. For what bound her.

  155. Jesus said, Satan has bound this daughter of Abraham for

  156. eighteen long years. It is Satan who comes to steal,

  157. kill and destroy. But Jesus said in John ten, I've

  158. come to give you life, and give it to you

  159. more abundantly or to the full. Point c under intelligent caution.

  160. And then there's a practical way we need to avoid corrupted,

  161. polluted atmospheres here on Earth, wherever it crosses our path

  162. or my path. I am not ignorant, and you aren't either.

  163. Germs are real and how they can travel. We need

  164. to use intelligent caution. If you had a big dumpster

  165. in your neighborhood and it was full of breathe and

  166. garbage and flies were everywhere, and suddenly you saw all

  167. your children and neighborhood children climbing into that thing thinking

  168. that was fun, you would immediately go and reprimand them,

  169. correct them, clean them, bathe them, sanitize them. That is

  170. healthy caution. And this is what our leaders are trying

  171. to do, is keep us from spreading anything that would

  172. hinder or hurt Point Number two irrational fear is unhealthy.

  173. Intelligent caution is good, but irrational fear is unhealthy. So

  174. a point under that point, aim, as long as I'm

  175. doing my best to avoid contact with disease, with demons,

  176. with disaster, with depressive alignments of thought in my head,

  177. and that's the whole subject.

  178. We will get on eventually.

  179. I've got tolloid depressive alignments of thought in my head,

  180. living obedient to authorities. Listen, I have nothing to fear,

  181. and you have nothing to fear as long as you

  182. do this example, Paul, he was caught in a violent storm.

  183. Let's call it a hurricane, because that's what it was.

  184. And they're in that thing for two weeks. It had

  185. to be one of those storms that just stalled, and

  186. there they were in it. And if you're prone to

  187. motion sickness, can you imagine the agony the people were having.

  188. Now listen what he told the other two hundred and

  189. seventy five passengers and Acts twenty seven. We're going to

  190. start in verse twenty two. But now I urge you

  191. to keep up your courage. I want to urge you, family,

  192. body of Christ, those watching today, keep up your courage,

  193. because not one of you will be lost.

  194. Only the ship will be destroyed.

  195. Last night, an angel of the God to whom I

  196. belong and whom I serve, stood beside me and said,

  197. do not be afraid.

  198. Don't be afraid, Paul.

  199. You must stand trial before Caesar, and God has graciously

  200. given you the lives of all who sail with you.

  201. That is great, great news. Choose to take heart, not fear.

  202. You can then hear a word from the Lord in

  203. the Word.

  204. If you choose to take heart.

  205. Are as you're in the Word, you will receive a

  206. revelation in your spirit. Are someone else encouraging you with

  207. a revelation from the Lord that God speaks to your

  208. heart and you begin to choose that that becomes faith

  209. over your fear because all of us are having to

  210. make the same choices right now.

  211. Faith over fear. You don't fear.

  212. Your way into courage. You will have to faith your

  213. way into courage. If you think courage is going to

  214. come because you keep identifying with fear, you will be

  215. stuck right there.

  216. You will be encouraged as you allow your faith to expand.

  217. Number two or be people will lose hope with fear

  218. when fear becomes your foundation, you begin to picture the worst.

  219. Please hear that if fears your foundation, you will constantly

  220. picture the worst. Then a person bound by fear begins

  221. to act irrational, to survive and to make you through

  222. the day. And again, maybe you've witnessed that at the

  223. stores recently or out in public, when people begin to communicate,

  224. Faith doesn't come across fear, a worry, and so forth.

  225. Now here's the thought. Listen to this.

  226. Fear does not change the situation. It only clouds my

  227. path forward. Fear does not change the situation. It only

  228. clouds my path forward. Here's a great example. You know what,

  229. I believe your Bible reading is going to come alive

  230. like never before. If you think about it, when you

  231. read the Bible, almost every page is dealing with some

  232. world or national or local confusion or conflict or turmoil

  233. or disaster going on. We've been so secure in our

  234. nation all these years. Now we find ourselves in situations

  235. similar to people in the Body of Christ. Think about

  236. Paul and Silas. You know, poor Paul, he kind of

  237. lived from trauma to turmoil, to confusion to this, and

  238. he'd always come through triumphantly. But in Acts sixteen he

  239. and Silas are in prison and they're facing execution.

  240. Okay, they weren't going to be released.

  241. This wasn't a temporary don't get around people and stay

  242. in your home until we tell you it's safe to

  243. come out.

  244. They're getting ready to be killed.

  245. And about midnight, this is what Paul and Silence were doing.

  246. They were praying and singing hymns to God. And it

  247. wasn't the hethaw song of woe and agony. It was

  248. they were singing praise to God. And the other prisoners

  249. weren't listening to them. Listen, people are listening to you.

  250. Jenny made mention of it. Your children are listening to you.

  251. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations

  252. of the prison were shape at once. All the prison

  253. doors flew open, and everyone's chains came loose. Could it

  254. be as a body of Christ praise? We continue worshiping,

  255. we continue praying that the foundation of this academic going on,

  256. this pandemic that's trying to bring havoc in our nation,

  257. it's just shaken. It breaks and it's destroyed. And what

  258. seemed as bondage it's broken off.

  259. So let's continue praying.

  260. Let's continue our praise going forth, we must begin to

  261. recognize the lie of fear from the devil and align

  262. our heart.

  263. With faith instead of fear.

  264. It's a choice I have to make, a choice you

  265. have to make. It is a spiritual discipline that requires

  266. personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and allowing the

  267. Holy Ghost to walk real close. Jesus is praying for us,

  268. but the Holy Ghost is here on earth wherever he's welcome,

  269. and Folks, I need him close right now, I need

  270. him right next to me.

  271. I want to hug up.

  272. Close to the Holy Ghost because I want to hear

  273. what he has to say. And when we do that,

  274. it causes scripture to come alive, It causes praise to

  275. come alive. It causes prayer to be real. Faith in

  276. is the substance things hope for the evidence of things

  277. not seen.

  278. So your faith.

  279. Becomes evidence and if you have faith, it will be

  280. evident to those you talk with. It becomes something real,

  281. It becomes something secure, which leads us.

  282. To the third point. One more point. Faith sees the rescue.

  283. Faith sees the rescue.

  284. You might not know when or how, but the faith

  285. you are standing on becomes your substance. The Word of

  286. God that you read every day and that you would

  287. meditate on and think about, becomes substance. We are believers,

  288. which means we allow our faith to be grow and

  289. we allow it to be solid. Okay, here's a point

  290. under this about faith. Caesar rescue. Paul continued his conversation.

  291. He's on the deck of the ship in Acts twenty seven,

  292. and he says this Acts twenty seven, verse twenty five.

  293. They're going to bring that verse up for me.

  294. So keep up your courage, church, believers, family friends, keep

  295. up your courage. Keep it up men, because they're all

  296. men on this ship for our faith in God that

  297. it will happen just as he told me. Nevertheless, we

  298. must run aground on some island. In other words, there

  299. wore be some obstacles, there would be some things that

  300. take place. Paul would have an interruption in his journey.

  301. Have you noticed we are all having an interruption right

  302. now in our journey.

  303. They would not.

  304. Reach the destination where they were intended to or thought

  305. they would be going, but they would be rescued. And

  306. you know what, We're going to be rescued. Now, get this,

  307. write it down, think about it. Pray about it. Often

  308. the interruption leads to a new appointment. Often your interruption.

  309. If you allow the Holy Ghost real close here his voice,

  310. it will lead to a new appointment. The rescue led

  311. to purpose for Paul Acts twenty eight, verse seven through ten.

  312. Now this is after the shipwreck and everybody gets on

  313. shore safely.

  314. There was an estate nearby.

  315. They belonged to a pubulist, the chief official of the island.

  316. He welcomed us into his home and showed us gracious

  317. hospitality for three days. His father was sick and dead. Okay,

  318. the leader, the fisheral of the island, suffering from fear

  319. and dysentery. Now Paul could have just been consumed with

  320. his need, the men's need where they were at the moment.

  321. But Paul went in to see him, and after prayer,

  322. placed his hands on him and healed him.

  323. We know he didn't personally do it. God did it

  324. because of obedience.

  325. When this had happened, the rest of the sick on

  326. the island came and they were cured, so everybody else

  327. got a healing. They honored us in many ways, and

  328. when we were ready to sell, they furnished us with

  329. the supplies we needed. See when you step into purpose

  330. and you're not hiding full of fear. I believe the

  331. supplies you need they're going to be there.

  332. Point b under this about the rescue.

  333. Anyone can see the fear. Only those with eyes of

  334. faith can see the finish. What do you see fear

  335. or the finish? Fear or the finish Second Corinthians four,

  336. verse eighteen. So we fix our eyes not on what

  337. is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is

  338. seen as temporary. All this that's going right now, please

  339. realize it is a temporary situation. We don't know the

  340. length of it, but it's temporary. But what is unseen

  341. is eternal. Even if all this temporary stuff were solved

  342. next week, it's temporary. What's unseen Your faith, your walk

  343. with God, that's.

  344. Eternal, or it canvy.

  345. Hebrews twelve one through three says this. Therefore, since we're

  346. surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, people who

  347. are doing it right, living by faith, family that have

  348. live by faith or with the Lord, people in the

  349. word of God that did it right, let us throw

  350. off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.

  351. And let me tell you.

  352. If fear becomes your identity, that becomes a sin. Let

  353. us run with perseverance. Okay, we're gonna need perseverance through

  354. this race. Run with perseverance. The race marked out for us.

  355. See right now. We don't know how far we're running.

  356. We don't know the length of this marathon.

  357. But let's do it.

  358. How fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfector

  359. of faith.

  360. How did he do it? Why did he do it?

  361. This is how we're gonna do it.

  362. For the joy set before him, the joy set before you.

  363. He endured you and I are gonna endure.

  364. He had to endure the cross. We're having to endure inconvenience.

  365. And he was scorning as shame, and he's now setting

  366. down at the right hand of the throne of God. Listen,

  367. this plague is going to end. I said, it's going

  368. to end. We're going to be rescued. God is with us,

  369. and you and I we will survive if you do that.

  370. Let me say this, Now you're thinking clearly, I said,

  371. now you're thinking clearly.

  372. Let me give you.

  373. Five practical applications as a pastor, as a father, as

  374. a grandfather, as a friend.

  375. Real quick.

  376. Number one, do what the health authorities are advocating. Okay,

  377. wash your hands frequently, keep a healthy distance from others

  378. if possible.

  379. Keep your immunity built up.

  380. With the red alert. You say, what in the world

  381. is a red alert? Well, you're going to see bring

  382. it up. The red alert, A rest e, exercise, d diet.

  383. I'm gonna encourage you when you go to bed at night,

  384. say Lord, thank you.

  385. My mind's going to stop. I'm going to rest well, exercise.

  386. You know what.

  387. Many of you have those treadmills and things in your house,

  388. stationary bikes, and all you do is you hang your

  389. clothes on them. Okay, dust them off, plug them in,

  390. get some exercise.

  391. It'll be good for you.

  392. And then diet, try to eat healthy appropriately and so forth.

  393. If you violate the red alert, you're not taking care

  394. of the temple of God. Two cast down thoughts of death, doom,

  395. and the end of the world. We are inconvenience, yes,

  396. but we're not incapacitating. We're inconvenience, but we're still functioning

  397. Tewod Corinthians ten three through five. Far though we live

  398. in the world, we do not wage war as the

  399. world does the weapons we fight with are not the

  400. weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine

  401. power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension

  402. that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. And

  403. we take captive every thought. I said, every thought. We're

  404. going to take captive every thought, make it.

  405. Obedient to Christ. And we can do that.

  406. Number three, anchor yourself in God's word. I recommend read

  407. Psalm ninety one slowly every day, or other scriptures that

  408. you think about, meditate on that speak to your heart.

  409. Just do this every day until this storm passes, and

  410. after it does.

  411. It will be a good thing to continue anyway.

  412. Number four, avoid hysteria from any source.

  413. Please do that.

  414. The endless interviews you can watch or listen to, the

  415. different opinions, the commentaries and the reporting that keep us

  416. just uncertain and worried and so forth and have fear

  417. and paranoia. Just just turn it off. Some that's not God. Yes,

  418. we need to be informed, we need to know what

  419. we need to do. We need to be aware of

  420. some things, but not everything. Sometimes it does this better

  421. just to turn it off. Go about your life each

  422. day with joy. That's a choice. And lastly, number five,

  423. don't become self centered. Don't begin analyzing how you feel

  424. every moment of the day. Reach out to others in need,

  425. especially if someone is elderly. Are they if they have

  426. a compromise health condition? What can you do for them?

  427. Speak positive to those you come in contact with. Let's

  428. offer hope, prayer, encouragement, and lift anyone up who's living emotionally,

  429. are spiritually lower than you see, we're to be living

  430. higher and those that are down here, we're to bring

  431. them up. Give them a hand and bring them up.

  432. It's not a time to point at them, but literally,

  433. anybody bring them up.

  434. Because you're living close to God.

  435. So family, friends, let's stay in touch a lot, call, text, email,

  436. share good reports, stay in touch with others in the

  437. body of Christ. Pray for one another. Let's stay connected.

  438. I know we're going to make it through this. Let's

  439. pray for the virus to be contained with all our

  440. cooperative efforts, and that lives are saved literally and listen,

  441. lives are gonna be saved spiritually.

  442. God can turn this around.

  443. Something powerful can happen through this that gets the tension

  444. of our whole nation.

  445. So make your decision fear or faith.

  446. I believe you're gonna choose faith, turn your fear into

  447. a conquering faith. I'm gonna pray in a moment. But

  448. next Sunday I want to share on communion. I want

  449. to share on different elements about protection and healing through communion.

  450. And I want you to get some elements at home,

  451. bread or cracker, whatever, juice or coke, something, and just

  452. prepare for communion. And we're gonna take communion together via

  453. the Internet.

  454. Okay, let's do it. So let me pray over you.

  455. If anyone is not serving the Lord, I'm prayer and

  456. if you would just agree with that in your heart,

  457. God's going to save you today. So just bow in

  458. your homes wherever you're listening, and let me lead us

  459. in a prayer. Thank you Lord, Thank you Jesus Father.

  460. I thank you that through technology we're able to stay

  461. in touch with each other right now, and you're knowing

  462. and can go across the airwaves and through televisions and

  463. phones and bring a conviction and bring hope. So, Father,

  464. I pray for anyone right now who's listening that you're

  465. not their Lord, they've not bowed their heart in their

  466. life and their will to you, if they've not confessed

  467. their sin to you and their separation from you, that

  468. they're doing that right now and they're allowing you into

  469. the ciner of their life. That they would be empowered

  470. by the Holy Ghost and have the power they need

  471. to live for you, and that they will get connected

  472. right now. It's got to be connected through internet and

  473. phone calls, but they would just begin to get connected,

  474. are connected to people and family that know you and

  475. begin this journey with you. So I pray that for

  476. anyone listening today, and Father, I thank you that all

  477. those that are listening and all those that have been watching,

  478. they're going to allow their fear to be turned into

  479. a conquering faith. Father, that we're stronger today than we

  480. were yesterday. That we're stronger because of the Scripture. We're

  481. stronger because of relationships. We're stronger because we purposely connect

  482. and we stay connected. So I pray a blessing over

  483. the family. I pray a blessing over everyone listening right now,

  484. And I thank you Lord. They're going to conquer and

  485. they're going to win, and they're going to come through

  486. this victorious for them and their whole household, and we

  487. will be careful to praise you loudly. And the next

  488. time we're able to get together corporately, there will be

  489. such a shit out from the house that there will

  490. be an earthquake and any bondage or anything holding people

  491. in bondage will be broken off of their life. So

  492. we thank you for it now in Jesus name, and

  493. would you say an amen with me wherever you are.

  494. Yes. Wednesday night will be live streaming at.
