Welcome to Pinoy Tagalog Sermon Podcast, your daily dose of inspiring,
-
heartfelt tagalog.
-
Sermons from different pastors and speakers all over the Philippines.
-
We hope that this podcast finds you in good shape.
-
And now here's your message. Together, do we see this
-
thing accomplished?
-
Prayerfully as a church and we as family and the
-
Body of Christ all over work together in unison. That
-
we pray together in unity, and that we just cooperate
-
in unison with our leaders and those that are giving
-
us direction, and we will see this plague begin to subside.
-
I said, we will see this plague begin to subside.
-
So thank you for.
-
Being connected and listen, please stay connected. We want to
-
be connected to you, not only through this venue, but
-
emails and phone calls and text messages. We need each
-
other more than ever before. Now, if you would get
-
a paper and pen, and I want you to take
-
some notes as I share this morning. Also, if you
-
don't get my email and brother don maybe mention of
-
that earlier, please call the church tomorrow and give us
-
your email because I'm going to email the notes out
-
before every Sunday's message, so you have it already and
-
you can follow along and even be more acquainted with it.
-
If you haven't noticed, fear is everywhere right now, maybe
-
you've witnessed it firstthand I know some in our staff
-
have witnessed it out in the store's firsthand. Emotions are
-
flying very high, opinions, speculations. Everywhere you turn, someone has
-
something to say in regards to this. And we, as
-
the Body of Christ, we as believer, must get to
-
a place of balance and rest. I'll say it again,
-
we must get to a place of balance and rest.
-
We are witnessing firsthand the rapid shutdown of large gatherings,
-
sporting events, colleges, schools, anything where people would be grouped
-
together in any type of number whatsoever. Unfortunately, it hinders
-
the Body of Christ at Victory, as well as all
-
the other churches and our region, and our state and
-
our whole nation right now from gathering to limit the
-
transfer of any type of disease. I saw a really
-
neat posts this week that someone sent in a picture.
-
It says where two, but no more than ten are
-
gathered in his name. You know you've got to find
-
humor where you can, so make sure you are laughing
-
through this. Have you ever lived in anything quite like
-
this before. Never in my lifetime have I seen our
-
whole nation brought to a standstill and have something of
-
this type of invasion in our land. This is not
-
an invasion of a foreign government coming in with violence
-
and trying to destroy your life or your family. This
-
is not a literal war with weapons, but a pestilence
-
that's causing much fear, much concern, and it's unable to
-
be detected by the naked eye, you.
-
Know, if you think with me.
-
Besides nine to eleven and some other terrorist attacks upon
-
our land, we've not had to deal with much opposition
-
within our borders until now, I said, until now, Well
-
it's here, and what will we each do? What will
-
we do as the body of Christ. So let me
-
begin by saying we must cooperate with our leaders. They
-
need our prayers. It's scripture that we pray for those
-
that are authority because they're thinking of our well being
-
and how to secure our safety and our health. So
-
let me show you a few scriptures that will remind
-
us of our responsibility. Tied Us three one and two
-
remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities.
-
So I'm reminding the people. I'm reminding you as Victory
-
and others that are watching, to be obedient, to be
-
ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one,
-
to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle
-
toward everyone. Jeanette has noticed this week when she's been
-
out at the store, how people have been helping and
-
been considering and helping reach to help people out that
-
need assistance. That is so good as inconvenient as this is,
-
and maybe the restriction scene right now, we're not being
-
asked to deny Christ.
-
Are you with me? We're not being.
-
Asked to do something horrible like go have an abortion
-
or deny scripture. We're being asked to limit our personal
-
in person connections right now. Social distancing. That's the word,
-
or that's the phrase that's being used.
-
So that's what.
-
We're going to do. We're going to cooperate. Hebrews thirteen,
-
verse seventeen brings up something else. Have confidence in your leaders.
-
So we need to have confidence in those that are
-
trying to help us and submit to their authority because
-
they keep watch over you. They're keeping watch over you.
-
If we cooperate, is those who must give an account
-
do this so that.
-
Their work will be a joy, not a burden.
-
And let me assure you our leaders locally, state and national,
-
they are under a burden, so they need our prayers
-
and support for that would be of no profit to you.
-
So we need to be profitable. Well, So we're going
-
to cooperate in Jesus' name, Amen, I want us to
-
be a witness that makes our leader's responsibility in all
-
capacities easy because I cooperate and I pray for them,
-
and I help them, and I don't slander in any way.
-
Hysteria and pandemonium right now just feel right beyond the
-
shadows of our life. So many don't know what to do,
-
what they're going to do next, their food, their work,
-
their finances, their business, on and on. If you had
-
any type of plans of travel, of anything that was
-
going to be of expansion beyond this point, they've been
-
brought to a halt. So we're all facing this. So
-
let me as your pastor. I just want to have
-
a conversation with you today. I know you can't talk back,
-
but you can cheer me on from your house. Okay,
-
I'm going to give you some points and some sub
-
points under it.
-
It'll move real quick. But take note of this and
-
write it down. Number one.
-
Intelligent caution is healthy. I said, intelligent caution is healthy.
-
A point under that common sense, that's point number A.
-
Examples those of you that are familiar with the area.
-
We have one main road, Highway twenty seven. I know
-
better than to try to cross the road blindfolded.
-
That's intelligent caution. It's healthy.
-
I know better than to drive my vehicle one hundred
-
miles per hour in a forty five mile per hour
-
speed zone. Foolishness and presumption are not examples of faith.
-
They're not God has st laws in motion, which Satan,
-
the god little g of this world in second Corinthians
-
four to four, has corrupted. Point B under intelligent caution
-
is healthy. Sin, disease, bondage, depression, deception, and other hosts
-
of melodies are the result of Satan's rule over the earth.
-
Because Satan is operating right now on the earth. Jesus
-
dealt with this through his whole ministry.
-
This is what he did.
-
Let me read the story of the Ladies set free
-
from the spirit of infirmity in Luke, chapter thirteen. On
-
a sabbath, Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,
-
and a woman was there who had been crippled by
-
a spirit for eighteen years. Now, I'm not implying that
-
every sickness is demonic from a spirit, but we know
-
disease as a whole is not God's plan. So we
-
do walk through this, whether it's just something our bodi's facing,
-
or we've not been a good steward of our health.
-
But for this woman, it was a demon. She has
-
been old and could not straighten up at all. When
-
Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, woman,
-
you are set free from your infirmity. Then he put
-
his hands on her. They didn't have social distancing at
-
this point, okay, And immediately she straightened up and praised God.
-
Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue
-
leader said to the people, there are six days for work,
-
so come and be healed on those days, not on
-
the Sabbath.
-
The Lord answered him, you hypocrites.
-
Don't each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox
-
or donkey from the stall and lead it out to
-
give it water. Then should not this woman, a daughter
-
of Abraham whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years,
-
be set free on the Sabbath day.
-
For what bound her.
-
Jesus said, Satan has bound this daughter of Abraham for
-
eighteen long years. It is Satan who comes to steal,
-
kill and destroy. But Jesus said in John ten, I've
-
come to give you life, and give it to you
-
more abundantly or to the full. Point c under intelligent caution.
-
And then there's a practical way we need to avoid corrupted,
-
polluted atmospheres here on Earth, wherever it crosses our path
-
or my path. I am not ignorant, and you aren't either.
-
Germs are real and how they can travel. We need
-
to use intelligent caution. If you had a big dumpster
-
in your neighborhood and it was full of breathe and
-
garbage and flies were everywhere, and suddenly you saw all
-
your children and neighborhood children climbing into that thing thinking
-
that was fun, you would immediately go and reprimand them,
-
correct them, clean them, bathe them, sanitize them. That is
-
healthy caution. And this is what our leaders are trying
-
to do, is keep us from spreading anything that would
-
hinder or hurt Point Number two irrational fear is unhealthy.
-
Intelligent caution is good, but irrational fear is unhealthy. So
-
a point under that point, aim, as long as I'm
-
doing my best to avoid contact with disease, with demons,
-
with disaster, with depressive alignments of thought in my head,
-
and that's the whole subject.
-
We will get on eventually.
-
I've got tolloid depressive alignments of thought in my head,
-
living obedient to authorities. Listen, I have nothing to fear,
-
and you have nothing to fear as long as you
-
do this example, Paul, he was caught in a violent storm.
-
Let's call it a hurricane, because that's what it was.
-
And they're in that thing for two weeks. It had
-
to be one of those storms that just stalled, and
-
there they were in it. And if you're prone to
-
motion sickness, can you imagine the agony the people were having.
-
Now listen what he told the other two hundred and
-
seventy five passengers and Acts twenty seven. We're going to
-
start in verse twenty two. But now I urge you
-
to keep up your courage. I want to urge you, family,
-
body of Christ, those watching today, keep up your courage,
-
because not one of you will be lost.
-
Only the ship will be destroyed.
-
Last night, an angel of the God to whom I
-
belong and whom I serve, stood beside me and said,
-
do not be afraid.
-
Don't be afraid, Paul.
-
You must stand trial before Caesar, and God has graciously
-
given you the lives of all who sail with you.
-
That is great, great news. Choose to take heart, not fear.
-
You can then hear a word from the Lord in
-
the Word.
-
If you choose to take heart.
-
Are as you're in the Word, you will receive a
-
revelation in your spirit. Are someone else encouraging you with
-
a revelation from the Lord that God speaks to your
-
heart and you begin to choose that that becomes faith
-
over your fear because all of us are having to
-
make the same choices right now.
-
Faith over fear. You don't fear.
-
Your way into courage. You will have to faith your
-
way into courage. If you think courage is going to
-
come because you keep identifying with fear, you will be
-
stuck right there.
-
You will be encouraged as you allow your faith to expand.
-
Number two or be people will lose hope with fear
-
when fear becomes your foundation, you begin to picture the worst.
-
Please hear that if fears your foundation, you will constantly
-
picture the worst. Then a person bound by fear begins
-
to act irrational, to survive and to make you through
-
the day. And again, maybe you've witnessed that at the
-
stores recently or out in public, when people begin to communicate,
-
Faith doesn't come across fear, a worry, and so forth.
-
Now here's the thought. Listen to this.
-
Fear does not change the situation. It only clouds my
-
path forward. Fear does not change the situation. It only
-
clouds my path forward. Here's a great example. You know what,
-
I believe your Bible reading is going to come alive
-
like never before. If you think about it, when you
-
read the Bible, almost every page is dealing with some
-
world or national or local confusion or conflict or turmoil
-
or disaster going on. We've been so secure in our
-
nation all these years. Now we find ourselves in situations
-
similar to people in the Body of Christ. Think about
-
Paul and Silas. You know, poor Paul, he kind of
-
lived from trauma to turmoil, to confusion to this, and
-
he'd always come through triumphantly. But in Acts sixteen he
-
and Silas are in prison and they're facing execution.
-
Okay, they weren't going to be released.
-
This wasn't a temporary don't get around people and stay
-
in your home until we tell you it's safe to
-
come out.
-
They're getting ready to be killed.
-
And about midnight, this is what Paul and Silence were doing.
-
They were praying and singing hymns to God. And it
-
wasn't the hethaw song of woe and agony. It was
-
they were singing praise to God. And the other prisoners
-
weren't listening to them. Listen, people are listening to you.
-
Jenny made mention of it. Your children are listening to you.
-
Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations
-
of the prison were shape at once. All the prison
-
doors flew open, and everyone's chains came loose. Could it
-
be as a body of Christ praise? We continue worshiping,
-
we continue praying that the foundation of this academic going on,
-
this pandemic that's trying to bring havoc in our nation,
-
it's just shaken. It breaks and it's destroyed. And what
-
seemed as bondage it's broken off.
-
So let's continue praying.
-
Let's continue our praise going forth, we must begin to
-
recognize the lie of fear from the devil and align
-
our heart.
-
With faith instead of fear.
-
It's a choice I have to make, a choice you
-
have to make. It is a spiritual discipline that requires
-
personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and allowing the
-
Holy Ghost to walk real close. Jesus is praying for us,
-
but the Holy Ghost is here on earth wherever he's welcome,
-
and Folks, I need him close right now, I need
-
him right next to me.
-
I want to hug up.
-
Close to the Holy Ghost because I want to hear
-
what he has to say. And when we do that,
-
it causes scripture to come alive, It causes praise to
-
come alive. It causes prayer to be real. Faith in
-
is the substance things hope for the evidence of things
-
not seen.
-
So your faith.
-
Becomes evidence and if you have faith, it will be
-
evident to those you talk with. It becomes something real,
-
It becomes something secure, which leads us.
-
To the third point. One more point. Faith sees the rescue.
-
Faith sees the rescue.
-
You might not know when or how, but the faith
-
you are standing on becomes your substance. The Word of
-
God that you read every day and that you would
-
meditate on and think about, becomes substance. We are believers,
-
which means we allow our faith to be grow and
-
we allow it to be solid. Okay, here's a point
-
under this about faith. Caesar rescue. Paul continued his conversation.
-
He's on the deck of the ship in Acts twenty seven,
-
and he says this Acts twenty seven, verse twenty five.
-
They're going to bring that verse up for me.
-
So keep up your courage, church, believers, family friends, keep
-
up your courage. Keep it up men, because they're all
-
men on this ship for our faith in God that
-
it will happen just as he told me. Nevertheless, we
-
must run aground on some island. In other words, there
-
wore be some obstacles, there would be some things that
-
take place. Paul would have an interruption in his journey.
-
Have you noticed we are all having an interruption right
-
now in our journey.
-
They would not.
-
Reach the destination where they were intended to or thought
-
they would be going, but they would be rescued. And
-
you know what, We're going to be rescued. Now, get this,
-
write it down, think about it. Pray about it. Often
-
the interruption leads to a new appointment. Often your interruption.
-
If you allow the Holy Ghost real close here his voice,
-
it will lead to a new appointment. The rescue led
-
to purpose for Paul Acts twenty eight, verse seven through ten.
-
Now this is after the shipwreck and everybody gets on
-
shore safely.
-
There was an estate nearby.
-
They belonged to a pubulist, the chief official of the island.
-
He welcomed us into his home and showed us gracious
-
hospitality for three days. His father was sick and dead. Okay,
-
the leader, the fisheral of the island, suffering from fear
-
and dysentery. Now Paul could have just been consumed with
-
his need, the men's need where they were at the moment.
-
But Paul went in to see him, and after prayer,
-
placed his hands on him and healed him.
-
We know he didn't personally do it. God did it
-
because of obedience.
-
When this had happened, the rest of the sick on
-
the island came and they were cured, so everybody else
-
got a healing. They honored us in many ways, and
-
when we were ready to sell, they furnished us with
-
the supplies we needed. See when you step into purpose
-
and you're not hiding full of fear. I believe the
-
supplies you need they're going to be there.
-
Point b under this about the rescue.
-
Anyone can see the fear. Only those with eyes of
-
faith can see the finish. What do you see fear
-
or the finish? Fear or the finish Second Corinthians four,
-
verse eighteen. So we fix our eyes not on what
-
is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is
-
seen as temporary. All this that's going right now, please
-
realize it is a temporary situation. We don't know the
-
length of it, but it's temporary. But what is unseen
-
is eternal. Even if all this temporary stuff were solved
-
next week, it's temporary. What's unseen Your faith, your walk
-
with God, that's.
-
Eternal, or it canvy.
-
Hebrews twelve one through three says this. Therefore, since we're
-
surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, people who
-
are doing it right, living by faith, family that have
-
live by faith or with the Lord, people in the
-
word of God that did it right, let us throw
-
off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.
-
And let me tell you.
-
If fear becomes your identity, that becomes a sin. Let
-
us run with perseverance. Okay, we're gonna need perseverance through
-
this race. Run with perseverance. The race marked out for us.
-
See right now. We don't know how far we're running.
-
We don't know the length of this marathon.
-
But let's do it.
-
How fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfector
-
of faith.
-
How did he do it? Why did he do it?
-
This is how we're gonna do it.
-
For the joy set before him, the joy set before you.
-
He endured you and I are gonna endure.
-
He had to endure the cross. We're having to endure inconvenience.
-
And he was scorning as shame, and he's now setting
-
down at the right hand of the throne of God. Listen,
-
this plague is going to end. I said, it's going
-
to end. We're going to be rescued. God is with us,
-
and you and I we will survive if you do that.
-
Let me say this, Now you're thinking clearly, I said,
-
now you're thinking clearly.
-
Let me give you.
-
Five practical applications as a pastor, as a father, as
-
a grandfather, as a friend.
-
Real quick.
-
Number one, do what the health authorities are advocating. Okay,
-
wash your hands frequently, keep a healthy distance from others
-
if possible.
-
Keep your immunity built up.
-
With the red alert. You say, what in the world
-
is a red alert? Well, you're going to see bring
-
it up. The red alert, A rest e, exercise, d diet.
-
I'm gonna encourage you when you go to bed at night,
-
say Lord, thank you.
-
My mind's going to stop. I'm going to rest well, exercise.
-
You know what.
-
Many of you have those treadmills and things in your house,
-
stationary bikes, and all you do is you hang your
-
clothes on them. Okay, dust them off, plug them in,
-
get some exercise.
-
It'll be good for you.
-
And then diet, try to eat healthy appropriately and so forth.
-
If you violate the red alert, you're not taking care
-
of the temple of God. Two cast down thoughts of death, doom,
-
and the end of the world. We are inconvenience, yes,
-
but we're not incapacitating. We're inconvenience, but we're still functioning
-
Tewod Corinthians ten three through five. Far though we live
-
in the world, we do not wage war as the
-
world does the weapons we fight with are not the
-
weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine
-
power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension
-
that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. And
-
we take captive every thought. I said, every thought. We're
-
going to take captive every thought, make it.
-
Obedient to Christ. And we can do that.
-
Number three, anchor yourself in God's word. I recommend read
-
Psalm ninety one slowly every day, or other scriptures that
-
you think about, meditate on that speak to your heart.
-
Just do this every day until this storm passes, and
-
after it does.
-
It will be a good thing to continue anyway.
-
Number four, avoid hysteria from any source.
-
Please do that.
-
The endless interviews you can watch or listen to, the
-
different opinions, the commentaries and the reporting that keep us
-
just uncertain and worried and so forth and have fear
-
and paranoia. Just just turn it off. Some that's not God. Yes,
-
we need to be informed, we need to know what
-
we need to do. We need to be aware of
-
some things, but not everything. Sometimes it does this better
-
just to turn it off. Go about your life each
-
day with joy. That's a choice. And lastly, number five,
-
don't become self centered. Don't begin analyzing how you feel
-
every moment of the day. Reach out to others in need,
-
especially if someone is elderly. Are they if they have
-
a compromise health condition? What can you do for them?
-
Speak positive to those you come in contact with. Let's
-
offer hope, prayer, encouragement, and lift anyone up who's living emotionally,
-
are spiritually lower than you see, we're to be living
-
higher and those that are down here, we're to bring
-
them up. Give them a hand and bring them up.
-
It's not a time to point at them, but literally,
-
anybody bring them up.
-
Because you're living close to God.
-
So family, friends, let's stay in touch a lot, call, text, email,
-
share good reports, stay in touch with others in the
-
body of Christ. Pray for one another. Let's stay connected.
-
I know we're going to make it through this. Let's
-
pray for the virus to be contained with all our
-
cooperative efforts, and that lives are saved literally and listen,
-
lives are gonna be saved spiritually.
-
God can turn this around.
-
Something powerful can happen through this that gets the tension
-
of our whole nation.
-
So make your decision fear or faith.
-
I believe you're gonna choose faith, turn your fear into
-
a conquering faith. I'm gonna pray in a moment. But
-
next Sunday I want to share on communion. I want
-
to share on different elements about protection and healing through communion.
-
And I want you to get some elements at home,
-
bread or cracker, whatever, juice or coke, something, and just
-
prepare for communion. And we're gonna take communion together via
-
the Internet.
-
Okay, let's do it. So let me pray over you.
-
If anyone is not serving the Lord, I'm prayer and
-
if you would just agree with that in your heart,
-
God's going to save you today. So just bow in
-
your homes wherever you're listening, and let me lead us
-
in a prayer. Thank you Lord, Thank you Jesus Father.
-
I thank you that through technology we're able to stay
-
in touch with each other right now, and you're knowing
-
and can go across the airwaves and through televisions and
-
phones and bring a conviction and bring hope. So, Father,
-
I pray for anyone right now who's listening that you're
-
not their Lord, they've not bowed their heart in their
-
life and their will to you, if they've not confessed
-
their sin to you and their separation from you, that
-
they're doing that right now and they're allowing you into
-
the ciner of their life. That they would be empowered
-
by the Holy Ghost and have the power they need
-
to live for you, and that they will get connected
-
right now. It's got to be connected through internet and
-
phone calls, but they would just begin to get connected,
-
are connected to people and family that know you and
-
begin this journey with you. So I pray that for
-
anyone listening today, and Father, I thank you that all
-
those that are listening and all those that have been watching,
-
they're going to allow their fear to be turned into
-
a conquering faith. Father, that we're stronger today than we
-
were yesterday. That we're stronger because of the Scripture. We're
-
stronger because of relationships. We're stronger because we purposely connect
-
and we stay connected. So I pray a blessing over
-
the family. I pray a blessing over everyone listening right now,
-
And I thank you Lord. They're going to conquer and
-
they're going to win, and they're going to come through
-
this victorious for them and their whole household, and we
-
will be careful to praise you loudly. And the next
-
time we're able to get together corporately, there will be
-
such a shit out from the house that there will
-
be an earthquake and any bondage or anything holding people
-
in bondage will be broken off of their life. So
-
we thank you for it now in Jesus name, and
-
would you say an amen with me wherever you are.
-
Yes. Wednesday night will be live streaming at.
-
Seven pm Pastor Binn and Pastor Jodi. They'll be on
-
Facebook live tonight at six point thirty. Love you dearly,
-
have a wonderful afternoon.
-
