Welcome to Pinoy Tagalog Sermon Podcast, your daily dose of inspiring,

heartfelt tagalog sermons from different factors and speakers all over

the Philippines. We hope that this podcast finds you in

good shape. And now here's your message. All right, let's

say this together. Are you ready? This is my Bible.

It is a standard I lived my life by. I

am a spirit filled believer, sustained by my personal relationship

with the Lord, empowered by my commitment to community and

express throughout reach to others. Therefore, I can say and

don't forget it. All right, turn your bulletin over a

lot of scripture, a lot of things I need you

to look at. This whole year, we're going to be

looking at the blessed life. What that means. We used

January to kind of look at our fine answers and

get them in biblical order. All that's on our victory

app Any messages you missed go and you can listen

to it or actually watch it. Then we transition this

month into being free. Indeed, there's no way to be

blessed and live a blessed life if we're dealing with bondage. Amen,

just things lingering or things that we've opened the doors.

So last week I really tried to get the point across.

Satan does not want you free. Ay, don't want you

to hear this because listen, if you really hear what

I have to say today, it's very important and you

apply this, it can lead to a life of being free.

And I don't know about you. I don't want to

be in bondage. And we've got to understand this. Believers

can choose to be in bondage. Did you hear me, Oh,

I've been saved. I can't be in bondage. Get over that.

Yes you can. I'm gonna sure's a lot of scripture today.

You don't have to be and you don't need to

be fearful of that. But just because you got saved,

or just because you've got filled with the Holy Spirit,

the devil's not rolling out the red carpet in front

of you going to make life easy, and he's wanting

to make life very difficult in heart. Think about this.

Here's a couple of questions we're gonna look at today.

We're gonna look at the question, does God ever grant

Satan permission to attempt to bring us into bondage. Does

God ever grant Satan permission? Okay? Think about that in

regard to the o halt all the Old Testament. Okay,

God's people would sin, God would grant the enemy permission

to take the people into bondage. They would repent. There's

the key, and then God would deliver them. Repentance is

the cure. By say repentance. So last week we talked

about Satan is a thief, and Jesus said in John ten,

he's always looking to climb into the sheepfold. By the way,

he can't come through me. I'm the door. But he's

trying to get in in your life, in your family,

believers' lives and all of that. Joel said, he comes

in through windows or open doors. So we'll look at

one major door today. We're just going to look at

one and kind of discuss it and look at it.

So I need you to pay attention. I want you

to study these scriptures. Don't take anything from me. I

want you to look at the word amen. Okay, And

the door that even very mature believers can open there

in your notes where permission is granted is the word pride. Pride.

Everybody say pride and it's amazing how you can go

into an arena. And when you talk about, say, pride,

how many people are proud that they don't deal with pride? Yeah,

we all deal with it. Come on, let's just be honest.

So we're going to look at three definitions of it.

Are three examples of it in scripture, And don't be

thinking about cousin so and so or the boss served

the neighbor. Okay, let me look at this for my

own life. Are you with me? Because I love you, man,

I want to see you the Lord Terry five years

from out, ten years from now, running free and full

of life. Why do some people they have life? And

then they don't. They've opened the door, They've opened a door,

And we want to be sure we keep all the

wrong doors closed and the right doors open. So number one,

if you want to turn to Luke chapter twenty two,

turn there, Luke twenty two. Pride is trusting in your

own strength, your own strength, Luke twenty two, Verse thirty one.

Let's look at Peter for just a little bit. And

the Lord said Simon, Simon. Indeed, Satan has asked, okay,

you're seeing this. Satan has asked for you that he

may stifft you as wheat. This is an amazing passage

of scripture. New Testament. Jesus is saying to a believer,

Satan has asked permission to try to sift you next verse,

but I have prayed for you, aren't you glad? Jesus

is seated at the right hand of the Father. He's

praying for us when we face test that we choose

to be an overcomer. I pray for you that your

faith should not fail. Look at this, and when you

have returned. In other words, you're gonna fall flat on

your face. You are going to fall, You're going to

mess up because you're gonna try to do something in

your own strength. When you have returned to me, you're

able to strengthen your brethren. I want you to see

something here. When something happens and we return back to

God mightily repent, then that even becomes a testimony. I mean,

I'm not excited. Being hurt his knee skiing all those

skin sounds pretty fun right now, especially if you're watching

the Olympics at all looks fun. They make all those

slips look so easy. You'd be calling nine to one

one if I try one of those. But you know,

look what God does with that. And he could have

sucked this on for the rest of his life. Why God,

did I blow my knee? I thought you loved me.

Come on, but no, wait wait, we're gonna turn this around.

I'm gonna get healing and I'm going to use this

as an opportunity to help minister other people. Okay, so

he's been strengthened and now, but he's able to help

other people with it now. In other words, here in

verse thirty two, the new tested word for ask. Very

often the Greek, their language is so powerful. We might

have one word ask, and they've got three or four

flavors of that word that helps get the point across better.

Are you with me? So that word asking the Greek

means to ask forcefully and you get it, not like

could I may I, but like I'm saying I want it,

and they get it. So Satan asked and they receive

permission to sift Peter. The new American standard says that

this way, Satan has demanded permission. Wow, so could there

be an open door some type of life assignment to

try to sift you? Look, I'm not preaching doom in gloomy.

I'm trying to just get you aware. I just want

you free, I want you serving God with you. I

want you to be able to see the different things

when they come at you and just have the understanding

and the wisdom to walk in humility and brokenness before God.

So you come up with Andrew was talking about man.

Just life happens, and I've got to align myself with

his presence. And really that's what we need to do

every day with these things, align ourselves. And I personally

think this door is pride, just like Satan who trusted

in his own strength. Okay, And I think Peter is

dealing with that because look at the conversation before this.

Luke doesn't actually record the conversation. That's why if you

read a chronological Bible, especially when you get to the

New Testament, all these stories come in line. But the

other three gospels do record the conversation right before this. Matthew, Mark,

and John, let me read it to you out of Mark,

the conversation that's going on right before this. So are

you still with me? Okay? Mark, it'd be good if

I turn there, Okay, Mark, Chapter fourteen, and I'm gonna

start in verse twenty seven. This is a conversation right

before then, Jesus said to them, the disciples, all of you,

every by say, all will be made to stumble because

of me this night. For it is written now Jesus

is going to quote one of the things that would

happen out of the Old Testament. It is written, I

will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered

verse twenty eight. But after I have been raised, referring

to his death, burreau and resurrection, I will go before

you to Galilee. Then Peter said to him, even if

all are made to stumble, yeah, not me. Won't be me.

Jesus said to him assuredly. I say to you that

today we know Jesus didn't wear glasses, But how many

of you have watched the person when they want to

get something across they'd lower their glasses and they look

over them, actually real sternly, Jesus saying assuredly, even this night,

before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me how

many times? Three times? Wow? But he spoke, here's Peter

more vehemently. I meant arrogantly. Can I use the word pridefully?

Because of his own strength. He's thinking, can of himself,

even if I have to die with you, I will

not deny you. And everybody else said the same thing. Now,

I think Jesus was just trying to tell Peter, Hey, guy,

what part of all do you not understand? All of

you are going to deny me, not me. They're weaklings,

they're little sissies. But I'm not going to do that. Well,

let me tell you. You're going to do it three times,

and it's written in the word. Oh no, no, the

Bible is wrong. All right, Matthew turned there, Matthew sixteen.

We're still on this first point about pride through sixteen,

verse twenty one. From that time, Jesus began to show

to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and

suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes,

and be killed and be raised from the dead. Then

Peter took him aside, and he began to rebuke him. Look,

you gotta be pretty bold and think mighty good of

yourself if you're going to rebuke Jesus, are you with me?

Everybody here began to rebuke him, saying, far be it

from you, Lord. This should not happen to you. But

he turned to him. Jesus did said, Peter, get behind me. What,

oh my, you are an offense to me, for you

are not mindful of the things of God. How God

is going to work this out. You're just thinking like

a man, just thinking about how you could do with

your own strength. Now, if this doesn't help you, open

your eyes to something. Jesus looked right at them in

and said, get behind me, Satan. He addresses Satan in

the man again, I don't know in him on him

near him, as I said, it's too close. It's too

close of an agreement with the wrong spirit, and this

spirit is pride right here. You have to deal with

this scripture. You got to get behind me, Satan. In

the story before this, Jesus had promoted Peter. Jesus had

changed his name from Simon to Peter. Now he calls

him Satan. He's probably scratching his head and said, I

like Peter better than Satan. Come on making fun there.

It's arrogance, it's pride, it's trusting in your own strength.

So when they came to arrest Jesus, one of disciples

cut off one of the soldier's ear. Who was that?

You know why he cut off his ear. He missed

his head trying to split his head wide open. He's

coming against a whole garrison of soldiers, and Peter was

going to be Indiana Jones and take control of the

situation with his own strength and rescue the lore. That's

trusting in your strength. But because of this, Jesus said,

because you're doing it, Satan has got a right an

open door. He's coming because you have opened a door

to him. And then Peter does something that totally is

out of character. He does deny the Lord three times,

which he said he wouldn't one time, even cursing just

talking to a waitress girl. I don't know him. So

hear me what I'm going to share today, Many mature

believers can even fall trap. Examine our life. Lets me

an example of the Lord's work where we just choose

humility and brokenness, just aligning ourselves back in his presence

on a daily or even hourly basis. Is it possible?

Think with me? Is this why King David fell? He

was a very strong, strong, principled man. Pride is trusting

in your own strength. One Corinthians ten, verse twelve. Now

I quote verse thirteen often, but let me read verse twelve. Therefore,

let him who thinks he stands take heed lest default.

What would cause him to fault? I think pride then

verse thirteen, which I love, because Jesus, even if he

allows Satan to attack in some way, he's going to

make a way of escape. I said, he will make

a way of escape. No temptation overtaking you, such as

is coming to man. But God is faithful. He'll not

allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able.

But with that temptation, with that open door, with that

issue going on, we'll also make the way of escape

that you may be able to bear it. Amen. So

pride is trusting in your own strength. Number two, it's

trusting in your own righteousness, your own righteousness. Now, I'm

going to make the book of Job come alive for

you today. I'm going to show you why Job took

so long to get straight because there was an issue

in his life. Are you with me? Because I need

you to pay I need you to pay attention. Turn

to Job Job Chapter one. You're going to see it,

and this book is going to come alive to you, hopefully,

like never before. Job one, it'd be good if I

get to the first chapter. There we go, and we're

going to begin here. Let's see, let me start. Where

do I have it coming up? Miss Carrol? One through six? Okay,

let's read just six and seven. Okay. Now, there was

a day when the sons of God came to present

themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.

I don't understand all this. All I know is Satan

made it up and presented himself before the Lord. I'm

gonna show you another verse that fallen angels even had

that ability, and we're able to do that. Verse seven.

And the Lord said to Satan, from where do you come?

So Satan answered the Lord and said, from going to

and from the earth, and from walking back and forth

on it. This is what we said last week. He

just goes around like a roaring line, seeking whom he

made devour. So what is he looking for? Open doors?

He's looking for opportunity. This is what we talked about.

Verse eight. Then the Lord said to Satan, have you

considered my servant Joe, that there's none like him on

the earth, A blameless and upright man. He was walking

in this but something happened, and I'll show you who

fears God shuns evil. So Satan answered the Lord and said,

does job fear God for nothing? Have you not made

a hedge of protection around him? I meant claim that

hedge every day, folks, Amen, claim it, believe art. But

then you still have to submit to the Lord properly.

I can't claim a hedge of protection and live like

the devil and expect that hedge to protect me. I

can't claim a hedge of protection and open doors. I

love you, you love me, okay, just checking quiet on me. See.

I want you to just go and far in God,

so far in God. This is not feared the Lord. Friend,

You've put a hedge of protection around him on every side.

You have blessed the work of his hands, and his

possessions eve increased in the land verse eleven. But now

stretch out your hand and touch all that he has,

and he will surely curse you to his face. Verse twelve,

the Lord said to Satan, behold all that he has

is in your power. Listen, Satan was granted permission. You

just have to see that he was permanded. He was

granted permission, But do not lay handle on this person,

so Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

Then for thirty chapters, Job has three friends who try

to comfort him. And by the way, you really don't

want these three type of friends if you read it.

But in essence, though some of what they said was truth,

it just always had a dig and it just wasn't

done right. Amen, over and over. Are you sure there's

no open door of your life? I'm paraphrasing it because

the enemy sure has come against you mighty hard. Job

says nope, nope, and hess the things he has done

and the things he hasn't done. And then in chapter

thirty two, I want you to turn there, Job thirty two.

See this in your bible, please underline it, mark it,

or if you don't have the market with you today

or anything, please do this later on because this two

verses will make this book come alive. Are you excited

to see what will make this come alive? Okay, there's

a young man named Elihu and he's been sitting there

the whole time, listening to the three friends and all that.

In essence, this is what this young man says. I've

heard it all and I can't hold it back any longer. Nope,

you haven't figured out. So I'm going to tell you

what the problem is. So we're going to pick up

right there with this guy speaking. Chapter thirty two, verse one.

So these three men ceased answering Job. Here we go

underline it because he was righteous in his own eyes.

He was righteous in his own eyes. What's point number two?

Pride is trusting in your own righteousness. I've done this,

I haven't done that. I do do do do do.

We're gonna see it. It's gonna keep coming alive. Do

you see that? Though? Right there? Next verse? Then the

wrath of Ali, who the son of a hard name person. There, Sorry,

what's aroused against Job? His wrath was aroused here we

go because he justified himself rather than God. Trusting in

your own righteousness, your own righteous business. He goes on

for several chapters. Chapter thirty three, verse eight. Surely you

have spoken in my hearing. I heard this come out

of your own mouth, and I've heard the sound of

your words saying if I am pure, I am excuse me,

I am pure without transgression, I am innocent, and there

is no iniquity in me. Man, he'd have to be Jesus.

For that to be true, folks, Are you with me?

He'd have to be Jesus. In part of his conclusion,

he says, this chapter thirty six, I'm just jumping it

and you run with it. Verse three, the end of

the part. And this is Eli who the young man speaking.

I will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. Now you're ascribing

it to your works, what you've done and haven't done,

I'm going to ascribe it to my maker. Oh, it's

so crucial that we see this in the book of Job.

I mean Job. I know if you called it job. Hey, look,

everybody's done that at some point. Here's a sinner the

open door. He was righteous because of what he did,

not because of who he knew. Even though he did

the right things, and he would worship and offer the

sacrifices appropriately, he would kind of brownie point God, why

I did this and I didn't do this? And do

do do do? And he was a good man. He

was a good man. Are you with me? Hear me again?

Mature believers can fall into this area. See when you

get saved, you're so thankful. You know, you're just a

Obama la law going to hell and you're so grateful

when Jesus saved you. How many remember that day? Yes,

you know, it has nothing new with you. It's all

because of Him and his righteousness and his blood and

his sacrifices, and man, he's making that available to me,

and it's so exciting. But ten twenty thirty years ago,

by okay, and we've improved, Lord willing, and we're not

doing some of the things that we know that are

detrimental to our walk, and we are doing the things

that are beneficial for our walk. And you can kind

of start saying, hmm, I got this thing together now.

And we're not righteous because of what we do. We're

righteous because of the blood of Jesus, folks only only,

And that revelation, really, that would encourage you every day,

you know, Andrew talking about aligning, aligning yourself to his love,

to his heart, to his righteousness, to him, aligning yourself

up to him. It's only the reason we're righteous. And

anytime we begin to believe in our own righteousness, it's pride.

Jesus talked about the Pharisee in the church praying thus

with himself, because God sure wouldn't paying attention. I thank

you I do this, and I do that, and then

I'm not like that scum over there. I'man pointing at

the guy. And that guy said, Lord, be merciful to me.

I'm a sinner. Jesus watching said, that's the one that

went home forgiven because the other guy was boasting and

trusting in his own righteousness. Well let me show you

something here. Okay, remember what we talked about. Well we've exposed.

God showed up yep. So God says, okay, you want

to do some comparisons. We're going to compare yourself to

me for a while. Little man, here we go, and

here's just a few things God said to Job. See

if you'd like to be Job on this day. So

turn to chapter thirty eight. See, maybe you've wondered why God,

why did he come up at him like this? Because

he trusted in his own righteousness and all his good works.

Then the Lord answered Job, out of the whirl win

and say, who is this? He darkens counsel by words

without knowledge. Let me put in, good old Kentucky lingo,

what idiot is talking to me? Right now? Come on,

let's just be real, okay, Now, prepare yourself like a

man I'm gonna question you. Wow, you're gonna be able

to answer me. Verse four? Where were you when I

laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me, if you

have such great understanding, who determined its measurements? I mean

I can see God almost being lovingly sarcastic. There, okay,

surely you know? Or who stretched out the light upon it?

To what where it's foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone?

Verse twelve? Jump there? Have you commanded the morning since

your day's begun? And cause the dawn to know its place?

One version? Have you ever told the sun when to

come up? Verse twenty two? Have you the treasury of snow?

Or have you seen the treasury of hell? Man? Can

you make it snow and rain and all this stuff

when you want to? Verse thirty four. Can you lift

up your voice to the clouds? Then an abundance of

water may cover you? Verse thirty five. Can you send

out lightnings that they may go and say to you

here we are? I mean, does lightning come to you

and say where do you want us to strike? Come on?

I'm talking God speaking here? And then he ends in

chapter forty verse eight, would you indeed and now my judgment.

Would you condemn me that you may be what m

because you're so righteous? Can you imagine God's saying that,

here's the great part, this is what you got to see.

He repented. He said, you're right. I blew it. I'm sorry. God,

what so hard about that? Why is it so hard? Sometimes?

He said, I can't do this. It's wrong. God's pointing

this out to me. There is freedom in repentance. I said,

there's freedom in repentance. It's just you know, Andrew, he

knows about It's like, okay, everything's going wrong. I got

to go to my back God. I'm sorry. I realigned

and to forgive. And that's what it is. It's realigning yourself.

And it's not about me. It's about your righteousness. It's

about your strength. Be important to me, just someone in need,

because we're all very needful. So never get satisfied in

your own righteousness. Yes, strive to live a righteous life.

I think that's a good thing. But it's because of him.

I believe in righteous living. A righteous living opens the

door to the demonic Amen. But living righteously in your

own strength doesn't make us righteous. It's only the blood

of Jesus, and I've heard it before. Maybe you have

different ones suddenly upset it whatever in life or a situation,

and I don't get it. I've done this, and I've

done that, and I've served this, and I don't understand.

I cringe when I hear that. I just cringe in

my spirit because I can't even address it. I just

cringe for that person. They've opened themselves up to the demonic. Yeah,

they got offended at God or whoever or whatever. It's

quiet Job said, I'm righteous because of what I've done.

So pride is trusting in your own strength and your

own righteousness. One more, can you hang with me? Say

we're gonna by by time serious, We're gonna be so free.

We're just gonna say or whatever you want, your God,

your Lord, I love you, I'm gonna love everybody. I'm

a minister, i'ma do I'm give because that's what he wants.

We're to be loyal subjects to the king because it's

the kingdom. Number Three, Pride is trusting in our own wisdom.

In other words, we can figure it out. We don't

need God. Now, this is a very difficult passage of scripture,

but I want you to turn to it and you

might have to study it some. I'm just going to

hit it and we'll run. But one kings twenty two.

It's really amazing. I'll give you a little bit of background.

So listen to this. This is talking about Aheb. Everybody

say Ahib. He was the king of Israel and he

married Jezebel. He was a very wicked king. Jezebel had

eight hundred and fifty bad profits, wrong profits. They lost

their heads to Elijah. Go get them, Elijah, that's great.

Elijah showed up and call down fire. I'm Mount Carmel.

Ahab he had four hundred profits. Ahab, the king of Israel,

ask Jehosaphat, the King of Judah, to come see him.

So the two kingdoms A haveb bad. Josephat was good,

He's a good king. Ahab was a wicked king. So

Ahab says to Jehosepha, let's team up and go attack

the king of Assyria. We need to get back a

particular city Raymond Gilead. It should be ours, it shouldn't

be theirs. So King Jehosaphat says, let's ask a prophet.

We need some wisdom in this, This is what they

would do in that time. We need wisdom and decisions

we make. Let's get wisdom. So Ahab calls his prophetsi

and they all say, yeah, go do it, because they

knew that's what he wanted to hear. Okay, Jehospah kind

of crosses. Let's get a real prophet in here, and

let's hear someone who maybe would tell us the truth.

So verse seven of First Kings twenty two, let's start

right there brought you to speed. Jehos Fat said, is

there still not a prophet of the Lord here that

we may inquire him? A prophet of the Lord, not

one of yours. So the King of Israel said to

jehoas Fat, there is one man, Mackaya, the son of

under the hard name, by whom we may inquire The

Lord love this, but I hate him. He doesn't prophesy

good concern me. It's always evil. And jehos Fat said,

let not the king say such things. Let's get him now.

They had to go get him in prison and get

him out of prison because Ahab put him in prison

because he would never tell him what he wanted to hear.

So he's in prison for telling truth and saying the

right thing. Now watch this because he's being taken out

of prison. I don't know if he did this under

the Lord word's unction or he just wanted to satisfy

Ahab at first. I don't know. But then he came

to the king, and the king said to him, Machaya,

shall we go war against Raymuth Gilead, or shall we refrain?

And he answered, oh, go, I prosper for the Lord.

We'll deliver it to the hand of the king. So

the King said to him, how many times shall I

make you swear that you tell me nothing but the

truth in the name of the Lord. In other words, well, look,

you know he's probably think you're gonna do it anyway,

So just go do it. Now comes truth, everybody saying

I need to speak truth. Then he said, here comes

Michaya saying truth. Well, I saw Israel lee scattered on

the mountains as sheep that don't have a shepherd. Remember

no shepherd. What comes the wolves they attacked? The Lord said,

these have no master. Let each return to his house

in peace. Don't go to war. Just go home in peace.

If you go to war, it's not good. Don't do

it because it's not going to work out like you want.

Verse eighteen, And the King of Israel, Ahab, the bad King,

said to jehotes Fat, the good King, did not, I

tell you, he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.

Then Michaea has said, therefore, hear the word of the Lord.

I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all

the hosts of heaven standing by. Now get this, on

his right hand and on his left. Do you see

that in the word of God, hosts of heaven are angels?

Could it be not only the host of the heavenly angels,

but some of the fallen angels? Note they're standing on

the Lord's right and the left. Amen. Remember Jesus said,

when the sun of Man in his kingdom, he'll put

the sheep on his right, and they'll put the goats

on his left. Stay here with me. Then Machai said, therefore, look, sorry, Yeah,

hear the word of the Lord. I saw the Lord

standing on his throne, and all the host of heaven

standing by him, on his right and on his left.

It's important to see the right here. We just read

in Job that Satan presented himself before the Lord Verse

twenty and the Lord said, look at this. The Lord said,

who will persuade Ahab to go on? Up? Now Machaya

had spoken the truth. But the Lord said, all right,

this guy is evil, this guy is in deception. He'll

not repent. Maybe I can set something up for him

to repent. If he doesn't repent, he's going to get destroyed.

The Lord is never out to destroy us. He's out

to bring us to a place of brokenness to repent.

That's important that you see that. Are you with me? Okay?

I know I keep saying that phrase, but you've got

to hear it. The Lord said, who will say ahep

to go that he may fall at raymuth Gilead? So

one spoke in this manner, and another spoken of that

manner who the heavenly hosts. Then a spirit came forward

instead before the Lord said, I'll persuade him. I'll do

it Verse twenty two. The Lord said to him, in

what way? He said, I will go out and be

a lying spirit in the mouth of the prophets. That's

not the Holy Spirit. By the way, the Holy Spirit

does not lie. Are you with me? And the Lord said,

you shall persuade him? And also prevail, go out and

do so. Therefore, Look, the Lord has put a lying

spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours,

and the Lord has declared disaster upon you. It's amazing.

Understand first, who's in control? Who's in control God? There's

not a battle between God and the devil. The devil

is a creative being. God is a creator. God is

in charge, and God will. He'll allow the enemy sometimes

to help fulfill his purpose. Now, Ahab could have repented

at any time Joe did. What if he hadn't repented,

I don't think his outcome at the end would have

been doubled Back. What if Peter hadn't repented, he wouldn't

be the most amazing New Testament figure besides Paul. You

just think about it. God is completely and totally in charge.

Let me lovingly challenge say this. I believe a Christian

can be influenced by a demon. A demon can affect

like we talked about last week, and believe can say

DEMI can't influence me, or I can't be attacked. Well,

let's think, is God omnipresent? He lives where everywhere. If

a demon can't live where God lives, A demon can't live.

I'm just trying to get us to think we're in

a battle. Well, I'm not talking about the omnipresidents of God.

I'm talking about the manifest prisons of God. So demon

can't be around the manifest persons of God. Well, he

presented himself before the throne. That's got to be the

most manifest presence of God. Do I want to sin fear? No,

I want us free. Indeed, I want us free, free, free,

recognizing anything of an open door. Don't go around and

analyze everything you do and beat yourself up. No, no, no, no,

just be aware. So here's my point. God is in control.

And when we sin, we open a door to the enemy,

and God may grant the enemy to come to sift

you like, wait, why hang with me. I'm going to

tell you a minute. Ahab trusted in his own wisdom.

Don't trust your own wisdom. And when a believer who

loves you says, wait, wait, wait, I love you too much.

We're in too close a relationship. You're trusting yourself instead

of going to the Lord. And we see that in

James Chapter three, verse fourteen and fifteen. You have bitter

envy and selfish seeking in your heart. Do not boast

in lie against the truth. This wisdom, that type of

wisdom does not descend from above. It's earthly, sensual and

what demonic. Let me see it this way. There is

a demon who doesn't want you to think like God

wants you to think. He doesn't want you to do

it because if you trust your wisdom and not the Lord's,

then you can mess up, and I can mess up.

It's just pride. When you have pride, that can open

the door. And when doors open, wolves come in. So

would God ever grabb permission for Satan to attack? Yeah?

Does he want to? No, we just saw it with Peter.

Satan has asked, I'm gonna let him do it. He

wants to sift you, but you're gonna return and then

you're gonna strengthen others. That's why testimony. When we've gone

through something and we turn to God or we run

to God and there's breakthrough, God wants to use to

help someone else because Satan is always wanting to trip

somebody up. Yes, Church is in our relationships is not

to come and sit and be a silent, and that's

our Christian No, let me tell you what I walked through.

Let me tell you what. Let me tell you. Then

God got a hold of me in this area and

I and I found what the scripture said. I repented,

I turn whatever, and the Lord showed up. Boom boom.

That's Christian walk. That's what it's about. It's always always

for our good. Did you ever spank your children when

they were little? I hope you did. Scripture tells us, dude,

you don't beat them, but you know what I'm talking about,

why you don't want them to go the wrong way.

One last scripture. You're still with me? Actually too, sorry

I lied there. Forgive me lords too. I thought it

was just one. Now let me show you a scripture

that's often misquoted. Go to Proverbs chapter sixteen, Proverb sixteen.

Can you bring that scripture up? Probably sixteen eighteen. It's

often misquoted. Let me read if pride goes before destruction

and a haughty spirit before a fall. It's often quoted

pride goes before fall. I probably have said it myself,

but it says a haughty spirit goes before the fall.

Haughty spirit goes before the fall. What caused it? Pride

which led to destruction? So when there's pride in a

life and it's not repented, it will be destroyed. So God,

in his grace, listen, and his grace will allow the

enemy to tack, bondage whatever he wants to try to do,

so that in our despair we run to him just

like they did in the Old Testament, like Peter did,

just like disciples did, just like anyone in the Bible,

and say, God, forgive me. You know, when I got saved,

I didn't get it all right. And I've been saved

a long time. I still don't get it all right.

And I have to say all the time, Lord, forgive me.

What a wrong thought, what a wrong action? That was

not right? You've got to forgive me. Yes, yes, thank you.

My wife? What did I do? Know? Okay, she'll thank

us up. This is like life. Listen here, it's further

moment thought. Life is just a series of love and

forgiving and loving God and asking for forgiveness and then

helping others. So grace, So God, in his grace, he

will allow something. And God sets you free if you

cry out to Him and let's be there for one another.

My class on Wednesday night, we've been on this series

by John Beavie. You know, a guy's blind and he's

walking to a cliff. He can't see miss the trails

on the cliff, and one guy's trying to tell him,

but the other guy won't let him tell me. You

don't want to tell him the truth. He maybe this

is what he wants to goes on on it. It's

hilarious and you might hit the person and they might

fall and skin their knee or cut their near their arm,

but you saved their life. Now, you only can do

that when you're in true relationship with people. I mean,

but you do that for someone's protection. They do it

for you for your protection when you're sharing with them

and you want to share true or they open up.

Don't run from truth. Yes, yes, celebrate truth. Run to

relationships that are going to be strength. I know I've

gone over hold on just for a few moments. I remember.

I think it was the first year we did Heaven's

Gates and hell Slams Down in the lower building where

it just went on for those two weeks. It was wonderful,

and I would instruct people every night when the lights

are down, don't get up, don't move if you have

to go to the restroom with something to do. When

it's bright and heaven and you can see where you go,

but when it's dark, cast members are going to be

running and you will get run over. I'd say to everybody, repeat,

don't move, don't move. Well, a lady I had no

clue who she was. She decided during the dark scene,

why I'm gonna get up and go to the bathroom now.

And she got up and I could see it coming.

She was getting ready to get mowed over by about

five or six people I'm talking about. It was gonna

be seerios. So I saw it and I'm on the side.

I jumped up and I just t boned her bow

and I mean I knocked her down between seats and

I'm sorry. I'm trying to save your life, you know,

because if here came the cast, I know one day

I'm gonna run into that lady somewhere in town. I

don't know who she is, but I did that because

she needed protection. Could it be God allows us to

be t boned because he knows we're getting ready to

be run over. It's not to destroy us. I did

that to save her. God loves us, and we get

all caught up in the t bone. We get all

caught up in why and how, and instead of saying hallelujah,

God trusts me and we're gonna work through this. I'm

gonna be stronger, and he's good and he's for me. Amen.

That's what God wants to do for all of this.

Peter and Joe. Satan attacks them, but they repent it.

Wow aheb did not and you can read it. We

won't read the scripture in One Kings twenty two thirty four.

But he went to battle, and he tried to disguise himself.

He took off his kingly robes, he put on just

a regular type of armor. He stayed in the back

because he knew maybe this wasn't good, and still an

arrow somehow made it an attack and hid him and

he died in the battle. Okay, okay. So pride is

trusting in our own strength and our own righteousness, our

own wisdom. Pride is a trap that the strong, the righteous,

and the wise can fall into if we don't trust

the Lord's strength, the Lord's righteousness, in the Lord's wisdom.

Let's stand. Just bow your head Andrew, come on up,
