The Daily Walk | 08.18.2026 | Isak Morehous | Galatians 2:20

Good morning, and thank you for beginning your day with us.

This past Sunday, we looked at one of my favorite passages of scripture.

In Philippians chapter 1, Paul says that for him to live is Christ and to die is game.

If he were to die, then he would be face to face with Jesus.

And if he lives, then he continues to live for Christ.

Pastor Aaron pointed out that this was a win-win situation.

I want to look at Galatians 2.20 this morning to talk briefly about the one who lives in us and how it influences us.

In Galatians chapter 2, verse 20, Paul says this: I have been crucified with Christ.

Galatians 2:20

It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.

In the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.

Paul is saying here that it is Christ who lives within him that is guiding and directing him every single day.

It doesn't mean that Paul is some shell without a personality, but it does mean that Christ is living within him and perfecting him and guiding him.

What you see is that as Paul trusts in Christ, it is Jesus that works in and through him.

And it's the same for us.

It is only through Christ's expression of love, of giving himself up to a death on the cross, that we can have salvation and we can have this life in Christ.

So this morning I want to briefly encourage you to ask yourself, how well are you living your life in Christ?

Are you trying to control everything and live by your own rules and standards?

Are you living in true surrender to Christ?

Being willing to do all that He is guiding you and directing you to do.

Well, that's all that I have for you this morning, and I hope that it was encouraging to you.

Let's strive to magnify Christ and share the gospel in our homes, in Wimberly Valley, and beyond.
