Good morning, and thank you for beginning your day with us.

In student ministry, we've been doing a series on spiritual gifts.

I've been very encouraged by the questions that we've gotten and the participation from students, but I want to share with you this morning a quick encouragement from what's become our theme verse for this, which is 1 Peter chapter 4, verse 10.

1 Peter 4:10

It says this as each has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace.

The reality is that every single one of us, if you are a Christian, if you are someone who has made Jesus the Lord of your life, has been given a gift by the Holy Spirit to serve and build up one another, to edify the church.

But often we don't really know what spiritual gifts that we have.

So I want to encourage you this morning to pray to the Lord that He would reveal to you what gift the Holy Spirit has given to you.

There's some great tools out there like spiritual gift assessments that can help get you going in the right direction.

But the absolute best thing that you can do is simply pray and ask God that he would reveal to you the gift that he has given you.

But then notice the command in this verse.

We aren't called to just know what our gift is, we're called to use it to serve one another in the church as good stewards of God's very grace.

When it comes to stewardship, we often think of finances or even time, but we're also called to be good stewards of the gift that God has given to us.

And in order to be a good steward, you have to use your gift in the church.

So what is your spiritual gift?

What is the Holy Spirit given to you to build up one another and to edify his bride, the church?

That's all that I have for you this morning.
