  1. Hi everyone, it's Nancy with your Wednesday edition of our daily walk.

  2. As we take these five weeks to meet together and look at our church's mission and vision, Pastor Aaron is focusing in our worship time on our core values.

  3. Our elder team sought the Lord's leading together as they crafted our mission and vision workbook that provides a framework through which we can strive to be more like Christ as we walk daily with the Lord.

  4. Those core values glorify God, abide in Christ, connect in community, and multiply disciples, represent a basic truth of what God expects from us as we deepen our faith.

  5. The first core value we looked at this past Sunday is to glorify God.

  6. And we looked at how we can do that as we praise Him.

  7. As Pastor Aaron said, we are made for praise.

  8. Think about the impact that has when we begin our day praising God, when we begin our prayer time doing, though.

  9. Jesus modeled that when he taught the disciples how to pray.

  10. He began saying, Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

  11. So let's take time right now to do that.

  12. And the best praise guide for us comes from God Himself in His Word.

  13. There are many passages that speak of the glory of God and our call to praise him.

  14. Today I'll take us to Psalm 96 as we praise him together.

  15. And God's word says, Oh, sing to the Lord a new song.

  16. Sing to the Lord all the earth.

  17. Sing to the Lord, bless his name, tell of his salvation from day to day.

  18. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples, for great is the Lord and greatly to be praised.

  19. He is to be feared above all gods, for all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols.

  20. But the Lord made the heavens.

  21. Splendor and majesty are before him.

  22. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

  23. Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

  24. Ascribe to the Lord the glory, do his name.

  25. Bring an offering.

  26. Come into his courts.

  27. Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.

  28. Tremble before him, all the earth.

  29. Say among the nations, the Lord reigns.

  30. Yes, the world is established, it shall never be moved.

  31. He will judge the peoples with equity.

  32. Let the heavens be glad, let the earth rejoice, let the seas roar and all that fills it, let the field exult and everything in it.

  33. Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth.

  34. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness.

  35. Amen
