  1. Thank you.

  2. After the war, Mary received a long-awaited phone call from her son, Jack.

  3. Oh, baby, is everything okay? Are you still coming home next week?

  4. Yes, Mom, I'm in transit now, just waiting on a few more paperwork.

  5. I'll be home in a few weeks at the most.

  6. By the way, Mom, I have this buddy that fought with me.

  7. He had taken a nasty hit and will need some permanent care.

  8. I have invited him to stay with us.

  9. Oh, that would be nice to have your buddy for a few days.

  10. Is he from our town?

  11. No, Mom. I have invited him to stay as long as he likes so that he can be taken care of.

  12. Oh, what sort of care would he need?

  13. How threatening were the injuries?

  14. I'm not sure how well I would cope with someone with a disability in the house.

  15. Don't the government have a department to look after them?

  16. I would love to have something.

  17. I would love to do something for your buddy, but I'm not sure we are the best care for him, my love.

  18. But anyway, you come home first.

  19. We'll see.

  20. Okay, Mom, I'll be in touch.

  21. I can't wait to see you.

  22. Be home soon.

  23. I love you.

  24. I love you, Mom.

  25. After a week, there was a letter with a photo of Jack in the mailbox.

  26. He's in a wheelchair with one of his legs amputated and half his face deformed with an eyes missing.

  27. Mom, I'm in an excellent care home provided by the government.

  28. It's about a couple of hours' drive from home.

  29. I'm learning to drive, especially feed the car, and I will come by to visit as soon as my car is ready.

  30. We come to a challenging passage of the Bible, and I would say it's as challenging as Mary seeing her son Jack's photo for the first time after the war.

  31. However, it's about a topic that all Christians should know well and have experienced a lot.

  32. But also somehow struggle with a lot.

  33. It's a topic Jesus identified as the greatest commandment in the whole Bible.

  34. It's a mark of those who genuinely belong to Jesus.

  35. It's what signified a true Christian.

  36. It's a topic of love.

  37. Love is such an essential but often misunderstood subject.

  38. It often turns out to be utterly different from what we think it is.

  39. Maybe that's why John repeatedly repeats, like a broken record.

  40. I think not a lot of people know what that means.

  41. If you have the black broken record, it will just keep looping back to the same place.

  42. So he keeps looking back, looping back into the same line or same idea as he writes this letter of 1 John.

  43. Please keep the Bible open to 1 John.

  44. We'll be going through the chapter 3 and 4, but I'll refer some to the previous chapter as well.

  45. In 1 John 2, 5, John says,

  46. If anyone obeys God's word, love for God is truly made complete in them.

  47. And then in the same chapter in verse 9 to 10,

  48. Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness.

  49. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light,

  50. and there is nothing in them that makes them stumble.

  51. And then in chapter 3, verse 1,

  52. See what great love the Father has lavish on us,

  53. that we should be called children of God, and that is what we are.

  54. And in our two passages today, the word love repeated more than 30 times.

  55. It's actually mentioned 34 times.

  56. Chapter 3, verse 16, and chapter 4, verse 9 to 10,

  57. It's almost the same.

  58. 3, 16 says,

  59. This is how we know what love is.

  60. Jesus Christ lays down his life for us.

  61. And then in chapter 4, verse 9,

  62. This is how God showed his love among us.

  63. He sent his one and only Son into the world,

  64. that we might live through him.

  65. This is love.

  66. Not that we love God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

  67. And in this two passages, it's repeatedly calling us to love one another.

  68. As the new year begins, we start on our new 5G plan to learn to be an authentic follower,

  69. an authentic disciple of Christ.

  70. Let's look into three areas that will help us start our journey well.

  71. I have three questions.

  72. Who or what is love?

  73. Who do you live like?

  74. And who do you love?

  75. When I start preparing this sermon by calling the first poem,

  76. What is love?

  77. But then after reading the two passages over and over again,

  78. especially from chapter 4, verse 7 to 8, and 10 and 16,

  79. I think I should call the first poem,

  80. Who is love?

  81. If you turn to chapter 4, verse 7, it reads,

  82. Dear friends, let us love one another,

  83. for love comes from God.

  84. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

  85. Whoever does not love does not know God because God is love.

  86. And then verse 10, this is love.

  87. Not that we love God, but that he loves us

  88. and sent his son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

  89. And then verse 16,

  90. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

  91. God is love.

  92. Whoever lives in love lives in God and God in them.

  93. Apostle John repeated God is love a few times

  94. and defined love as what God has done for us through Jesus

  95. in chapter 3, 16 and 4, 9 to 10, which I read out before.

  96. This identification and definition of love are very different

  97. from how we categorize love in this world.

  98. Don Carson says,

  99. One of the chief ways we distort the biblical picture of God's love

  100. is when we purposely presuppose that love demands freedom.

  101. The world is saying love means no boundary, no restriction.

  102. We distort the ideas of if you love so-and-so, set them free,

  103. to mean if you love so-and-so, let them do what they want

  104. and be what they want to be.

  105. If a boy wants to dress up like a girl,

  106. or a girl wants to be a boy, let them be.

  107. If people want to start a relationship with the same sex,

  108. we shouldn't stop them.

  109. Some politicians go as far as proposing laws,

  110. including prison for up to 10 years,

  111. or heavy fines for anyone caught trying to suppress

  112. or change someone's sexuality.

  113. The world puts up slogans saying,

  114. Love is freedom.

  115. Love is lust.

  116. This kind of thinking and slogan

  117. feeds into all the gender identity debate,

  118. gay and lesbian movement,

  119. the redefinition of marriage,

  120. and many other problems our world faces today.

  121. Humans are saying,

  122. Love is God.

  123. And motivated by my love,

  124. I should not be stopped.

  125. I should be allowed to choose or control my destination

  126. and decision.

  127. We have a microscopic and distorted view of love

  128. that is all about us, ourselves.

  129. Very self-centered,

  130. self-serving,

  131. self-fulfilling,

  132. self-glorifying,

  133. and self-honoring

  134. kind of love.

  135. That is not true and authentic love at all.

  136. The kind of self-guided misconception of love

  137. drives King,

  138. the person mentioned in the first passage,

  139. in chapter 3,

  140. to become upset

  141. when his offering to God

  142. was not as favorable as his brother.

  143. He harbored hatreds towards his brother

  144. and ended up murdering him.

  145. Get rid of his competition for God's love.

  146. John reminded us

  147. that love is from God

  148. and God is love.

  149. Love cannot be found in this world without God

  150. and cannot be defined in any human terms

  151. or any human construction

  152. because love is not from this world.

  153. Same is true freedom.

  154. True love can only be found in the words of God,

  155. in the Bible,

  156. which recorded all that God says and does

  157. to set us free truly.

  158. The Bible also shows us

  159. what it costs God to do so.

  160. I've been reading a book by Jared Wilson

  161. called Gospel Deeps.

  162. He says,

  163. The Bible shows us

  164. our God who is love,

  165. saying and doing all sorts of things,

  166. most our more sensitive souls

  167. will not consider loving at all.

  168. We must remember that God's ocean and love

  169. occupies space in the perfect balance

  170. of the infinite universe

  171. of all his attributes.

  172. He is love, yes,

  173. but he is also just and jealous.

  174. In the Bible,

  175. we find the love of God

  176. violates human freedoms

  177. regularly and consistently.

  178. If there's one thing

  179. any Bible figures can count on,

  180. besides that God loves them,

  181. it's that they're not in control

  182. of their destiny.

  183. God has a plan for us

  184. that awaits ours.

  185. Jared concludes that

  186. the Bible picture of God's love

  187. is much bigger,

  188. stranger,

  189. and more complex

  190. than how humans can imagine it

  191. or try to construct it

  192. in humans' terms.

  193. Love is from God

  194. and God is love.

  195. God sent his one and only son

  196. into this world

  197. as an atoning sacrifice

  198. for our sins.

  199. God shows his love

  200. by sending Jesus

  201. to be among us.

  202. Love is Jesus Christ

  203. laid down his life for us

  204. so we might live through him.

  205. To live through Jesus

  206. is to focus on this area

  207. of his sacrificial love.

  208. Sacrificial love

  209. refers to the offering

  210. of oneself for others' benefit,

  211. often without any reward

  212. in return.

  213. It's not natural

  214. for a human

  215. to be sacrificial in love

  216. or other-centered

  217. in how we live.

  218. God knows that,

  219. so he repeatedly

  220. remind us

  221. and command us

  222. to do so.

  223. In chapter 3,

  224. verse 11,

  225. for this

  226. is a message

  227. you heard

  228. from the beginning.

  229. We should love

  230. one another.

  231. And then verse 16,

  232. this is how we know

  233. what love is.

  234. Jesus Christ

  235. laid down his life

  236. for us

  237. and we ought to

  238. lay down our life

  239. for our brothers

  240. and sisters.

  241. Jesus.

  242. Verse 23,

  243. and this is his command,

  244. to believe in the name

  245. of his Son,

  246. Jesus Christ,

  247. and to love one another

  248. as he commands us.

  249. And then in chapter 4,

  250. verse 11,

  251. dear friend,

  252. since God so loved us,

  253. we also ought to love

  254. one another.

  255. And he has given us,

  256. and verse 21,

  257. and he has given us

  258. this command,

  259. anyone who loves God

  260. must also love

  261. their brother and sisters.

  262. Jesus.

  263. Apart from all these commands,

  264. John also warned us

  265. from chapter 3,

  266. verse 14,

  267. that we know

  268. that we have passed

  269. from death

  270. to life

  271. because we love

  272. each other.

  273. Anyone who does not love

  274. remains in death.

  275. What is

  276. remain in death

  277. means?

  278. It means

  279. we are separated

  280. from our God

  281. and others.

  282. it means

  283. we stay

  284. in our old life

  285. and have not been

  286. born again

  287. in the kingdom

  288. and family of God.

  289. It means

  290. we are not

  291. experiencing

  292. the full intention

  293. of what God

  294. has made us to be

  295. because God

  296. made us

  297. to glorify

  298. and to enjoy

  299. him forever.

  300. And the consequences

  301. of not meeting up

  302. to God's expectation,

  303. of not completing

  304. what God

  305. has set out

  306. for us to achieve

  307. will be

  308. the diminishing

  309. in our confidence

  310. before God

  311. and we grow

  312. in fear.

  313. And God

  314. knows that as well.

  315. God knows

  316. we feel this way too.

  317. So he tells us

  318. from chapter 3,

  319. verse 19,

  320. this is how we know

  321. that we belong

  322. to the truth

  323. and how we set

  324. our hearts

  325. at rest

  326. in his presence.

  327. If our heart

  328. condemns us,

  329. we know that God

  330. is greater

  331. than our heart

  332. and he knows

  333. everything.

  334. God tells us

  335. that he is

  336. greater than our heart

  337. and he knows

  338. everything.

  339. He knows

  340. we will fail him

  341. and disobey him

  342. and treat him

  343. with hostility.

  344. But he still

  345. addresses us

  346. as friends,

  347. not as enemy.

  348. In verse 21,

  349. chapter 3,

  350. verse 21,

  351. dear friends,

  352. if our heart

  353. do not condemn us,

  354. we have confidence

  355. before God

  356. and receive from him

  357. anything we ask

  358. because we keep

  359. his commands

  360. and do what

  361. pleases him.

  362. The key

  363. to have confidence

  364. before God

  365. is to keep

  366. his commands

  367. and do what

  368. pleases him.

  369. God is encouraging

  370. us to keep

  371. our focus

  372. on pleasing him

  373. with everything

  374. that we do

  375. and how we live

  376. our life.

  377. that is the key

  378. to our confidence

  379. before him.

  380. And then again

  381. in chapter 4,

  382. verse 16 to 17,

  383. and so we know

  384. and rely on

  385. the love

  386. that God

  387. has for us.

  388. God is love.

  389. Whoever lives

  390. in love

  391. lives in God

  392. and God

  393. in them.

  394. And this is how

  395. love is made

  396. complete among us

  397. so that we will

  398. have confidence

  399. on the day

  400. of the judgment.

  401. is in this world

  402. we are like Jesus.

  403. Jesus is our best

  404. example of someone

  405. who keeps God's

  406. commands

  407. and does everything

  408. that pleases God.

  409. And more than an example,

  410. Jesus is our substitute

  411. when coming to

  412. fulfillment of God's

  413. command,

  414. of all God's

  415. command,

  416. to be made

  417. complete in the

  418. love of God

  419. and have confidence

  420. before him

  421. at any time,

  422. there's one question

  423. we should keep

  424. asking ourselves.

  425. Who am I like

  426. in this world?

  427. How do you speak?

  428. How do you

  429. entertain yourself?

  430. Who do you like?

  431. Do you like to build

  432. your joy

  433. on others' pain?

  434. Do you enjoy

  435. bantering

  436. and picking

  437. on others?

  438. In how you

  439. organize your

  440. priority

  441. in life?

  442. What career

  443. are you pursuing?

  444. Where are you

  445. sending your kids

  446. to school?

  447. In your

  448. interaction

  449. with others?

  450. In how you

  451. spend your

  452. money,

  453. time,

  454. and energy?

  455. It's all those

  456. things that you

  457. live out,

  458. living like Jesus.

  459. And particularly,

  460. in how you

  461. love your

  462. brothers and

  463. sisters.

  464. In how you

  465. deal with

  466. conflict and

  467. disagreement with

  468. others in God's

  469. family.

  470. How do you react

  471. when someone

  472. challenges you

  473. or hurts you?

  474. God knows that

  475. it's not easy

  476. for us to be

  477. Christ-like

  478. 24 hours a day,

  479. seven days a week.

  480. And he knows

  481. if he leaves us

  482. alone

  483. and does not

  484. violate our freedom

  485. to intervene,

  486. we will fail

  487. and fail badly.

  488. So he

  489. reminds us

  490. twice,

  491. from chapter

  492. 3, 24

  493. and chapter

  494. 4, 12

  495. to 13,

  496. that we

  497. are not

  498. alone.

  499. Chapter

  500. 3, 24,

  501. the one who

  502. keeps God's

  503. command lives

  504. in him

  505. and he

  506. in them.

  507. And this is

  508. how we know

  509. that he

  510. lives in us.

  511. We know it

  512. by the spirit

  513. he gives us.

  514. And chapter

  515. 4, verse 12

  516. to 13,

  517. No one

  518. has ever

  519. seen God

  520. but if we

  521. love one

  522. another,

  523. God lives

  524. in us

  525. and his

  526. love is

  527. made complete

  528. in us.

  529. This is how

  530. we know

  531. that we

  532. live in him

  533. and he

  534. in us.

  535. He has

  536. given us

  537. his spirit.

  538. God has

  539. given us

  540. his spirit

  541. to ensure

  542. we remain

  543. and live

  544. in him,

  545. to follow

  546. Jesus

  547. and to

  548. lift out

  549. his command

  550. in our

  551. life.

  552. The

  553. Father,

  554. Son,

  555. and the

  556. Holy Spirit

  557. all work

  558. together

  559. to ensure

  560. we stay

  561. within God's

  562. love.

  563. So the

  564. question

  565. remaining

  566. is,

  567. who do

  568. you love?

  569. We have

  570. been told

  571. repeatedly

  572. from today's

  573. passages

  574. that God

  575. is love

  576. and he has

  577. demonstrated

  578. his love

  579. for us

  580. by sending

  581. Jesus,

  582. his only

  583. son,

  584. to atone

  585. our sins.

  586. in

  587. response,

  588. we should

  589. and ought

  590. to love

  591. one

  592. and the

  593. other

  594. by laying

  595. down

  596. our

  597. life

  598. for our

  599. brothers

  600. and

  601. sisters.

  602. Chapter

  603. 4,

  604. verse 20

  605. says,

  606. by loving

  607. one another,

  608. we get

  609. to know

  610. God

  611. and see

  612. God.

  613. Whoever

  614. claims

  615. to love

  616. God

  617. yet hates

  618. a brother

  619. or sister

  620. is a liar.

  621. For whoever

  622. does not

  623. love their

  624. brothers and

  625. sisters

  626. whom they

  627. have seen

  628. cannot love

  629. God

  630. whom they

  631. have not

  632. seen.

  633. Our

  634. relationship

  635. with

  636. others

  637. reflects

  638. our

  639. experience

  640. with

  641. God

  642. yet

  643. to also

  644. affect

  645. our

  646. experience

  647. with

  648. God.

  649. Tony

  650. Evans'

  651. book,

  652. Horizontal

  653. Jesus,

  654. also used

  655. this line

  656. as his

  657. subtitle,

  658. our

  659. relationship

  660. with others

  661. affects

  662. our

  663. experience

  664. with

  665. God.

  666. He

  667. has

  668. written

  669. this

  670. book

  671. to explain

  672. the

  673. correlation

  674. between

  675. our

  676. relationship

  677. with

  678. others

  679. and

  680. our

  681. relationship

  682. with

  683. God.

  684. He

  685. shares

  686. that

  687. outside

  688. Christ

  689. the

  690. King

  691. Church

  692. in

  693. San

  694. Diego,

  695. there

  696. is a

  697. statue

  698. of

  699. Jesus

  700. with

  701. both

  702. hands

  703. missing.

  704. Friend

  705. was broke

  706. off in

  707. the mid

  708. 1980s.

  709. Rather

  710. have the

  711. statue

  712. repaired,

  713. the

  714. pastor

  715. chose

  716. to put

  717. a

  718. plaque

  719. at the

  720. base

  721. of

  722. it

  723. that

  724. reads,

  725. I

  726. have

  727. no

  728. hands

  729. but

  730. yours.

  731. This

  732. plaque

  733. declared

  734. that

  735. because

  736. Jesus

  737. has

  738. ascended

  739. to

  740. his

  741. rightful

  742. place

  743. in

  744. heaven

  745. and

  746. is

  747. not

  748. physically

  749. present

  750. on

  751. earth,

  752. we,

  753. his

  754. body,

  755. are to

  756. be his

  757. hands

  758. to one

  759. another.

  760. We

  761. are to

  762. be his

  763. feet

  764. to one

  765. another.

  766. We

  767. are to

  768. offer

  769. his

  770. love

  771. and

  772. assistance

  773. to one

  774. another.

  775. We

  776. are to

  777. live out

  778. our

  779. horizontal

  780. relationship

  781. with one

  782. another in

  783. light of

  784. our vertical

  785. relationship

  786. with Christ.

  787. We

  788. are to

  789. be the

  790. manifestation

  791. of Jesus

  792. to one

  793. another.

  794. That is

  795. our ultimate

  796. calling as

  797. his

  798. disciples.

  799. That is

  800. our highest

  801. aim and

  802. the most

  803. authentic

  804. reflection

  805. of the

  806. two

  807. greatest

  808. commandments

  809. identified

  810. by Jesus

  811. to command

  812. to love

  813. God

  814. and love

  815. our

  816. neighbors.

  817. The

  818. believer's

  819. responsibility

  820. to show

  821. Christ's

  822. life

  823. sacrificial

  824. love to

  825. others

  826. is not

  827. optional.

  828. God

  829. commands it

  830. as a way

  831. of displaying

  832. his love

  833. to the

  834. world.

  835. When it

  836. comes to

  837. love,

  838. it's a

  839. full-body

  840. exercise.

  841. It requires

  842. our head

  843. to decide

  844. to love,

  845. our heart

  846. to be

  847. motivated by

  848. God's

  849. spirit to

  850. love.

  851. It requires

  852. us to

  853. open up

  854. our eyes

  855. and hear

  856. to notice

  857. others'

  858. needs and

  859. move our

  860. hands and

  861. feet to

  862. take action

  863. to meet

  864. those needs,

  865. to show

  866. God's love

  867. to the

  868. world.

  869. John

  870. reminded us

  871. in chapter

  872. 3, 16

  873. to 18

  874. that this

  875. is how we

  876. know what

  877. love is.

  878. Jesus Christ

  879. laid down

  880. his life

  881. for us

  882. and we

  883. ought to

  884. lay down

  885. our lives

  886. for our

  887. brothers and

  888. sisters.

  889. If anyone

  890. has material

  891. possession

  892. and sees

  893. a brother

  894. or sister

  895. in need

  896. but has

  897. no pity

  898. on them,

  899. how can

  900. the love

  901. of God

  902. be in

  903. that person?

  904. Be

  905. children,

  906. lest not

  907. love with

  908. words or

  909. speech,

  910. but with

  911. actions

  912. and in

  913. truth.

  914. Love

  915. is not

  916. an abstract

  917. concept.

  918. It

  919. concerns

  920. the

  921. outworking

  922. of the

  923. believer's

  924. faith in

  925. ordinary

  926. day-to-day

  927. interaction

  928. with others.

  929. The love

  930. that God

  931. wants us

  932. to exhibit

  933. is not

  934. any random

  935. act of

  936. kindness

  937. that make

  938. us feel

  939. good about

  940. ourselves.

  941. It's a

  942. kind of

  943. love that

  944. we need

  945. to decide

  946. whether we

  947. put other

  948. person's

  949. needs above

  950. our comfort

  951. as we do

  952. it to

  953. glorify and

  954. honor God.

  955. God

  956. remember

  957. Mary and

  958. her son

  959. at the

  960. beginning of

  961. this sermon.

  962. I'm like

  963. Mary when

  964. I come to

  965. loving God

  966. and others.

  967. There are a

  968. lot of

  969. calculation

  970. going on

  971. in my

  972. mind.

  973. Can I

  974. do it

  975. well?

  976. Because I

  977. don't want

  978. to be seen

  979. as someone

  980. that starts

  981. something that

  982. I can't

  983. complete.

  984. What will

  985. I get in

  986. return if

  987. I make

  988. myself

  989. vulnerable

  990. in this

  991. situation?

  992. What if

  993. the other

  994. person does

  995. not love

  996. me back?

  997. Will I

  998. be

  999. short

  1000. changed?

  1001. Are they

  1002. all going

  1003. end up

  1004. hating me?

  1005. Or what

  1006. if the

  1007. other person

  1008. becomes so

  1009. attached to

  1010. me that

  1011. I lose

  1012. my freedom

  1013. and I

  1014. can't keep

  1015. up with

  1016. their demands?

  1017. All these

  1018. questions

  1019. are telling me

  1020. and us

  1021. that we

  1022. love ourselves

  1023. more.

  1024. Instead of

  1025. God,

  1026. we listen

  1027. to ourselves.

  1028. We have

  1029. not tapped

  1030. into the

  1031. fountain of

  1032. love,

  1033. our living

  1034. God.

  1035. I know

  1036. the right

  1037. answer to

  1038. the question,

  1039. who do

  1040. you love?

  1041. And I

  1042. know also

  1043. the real

  1044. answer to

  1045. that question

  1046. is, I

  1047. love myself

  1048. and we

  1049. love ourselves,

  1050. not God

  1051. or others.

  1052. When I

  1053. come to

  1054. the topic

  1055. of love,

  1056. what is

  1057. the initial

  1058. emotional

  1059. reaction that

  1060. whirls up

  1061. deep in

  1062. you?

  1063. Are you

  1064. glad that

  1065. God knows

  1066. you and

  1067. has given

  1068. his spirit

  1069. our assurance

  1070. and helper

  1071. to fulfill

  1072. his commands

  1073. and keep us

  1074. in him?

  1075. In this

  1076. world,

  1077. are you

  1078. like Jesus?

  1079. Or will

  1080. you be

  1081. found wanting

  1082. when it

  1083. comes to

  1084. magnifying

  1085. Jesus to

  1086. one another?

  1087. God

  1088. knows where

  1089. we are at.

  1090. he knows

  1091. we are

  1092. like a

  1093. wounded

  1094. soldier,

  1095. handicapped

  1096. regarding

  1097. loving him

  1098. and others.

  1099. He made

  1100. the best

  1101. arrangement

  1102. for us

  1103. to heal

  1104. and learn

  1105. how to

  1106. love by

  1107. sending

  1108. his son,

  1109. Jesus.

  1110. Jesus

  1111. said,

  1112. all things

  1113. have been

  1114. committed

  1115. to me

  1116. by my

  1117. father.

  1118. No one

  1119. knows a

  1120. son except

  1121. the father

  1122. and no one

  1123. knows a

  1124. father except

  1125. the son

  1126. and those

  1127. to whom

  1128. he chooses

  1129. to refill

  1130. him.

  1131. Come to

  1132. me,

  1133. all you

  1134. who are

  1135. weary and

  1136. burdened,

  1137. and I

  1138. will give

  1139. you rest.

  1140. Take my

  1141. yoke upon

  1142. you and

  1143. learn from

  1144. me,

  1145. for I am

  1146. gentle and

  1147. humble in

  1148. heart,

  1149. and you

  1150. will find

  1151. rest for

  1152. your soul,

  1153. for my

  1154. yoke is

  1155. easy,

  1156. my burden

  1157. is light.

  1158. Today is a

  1159. day for you

  1160. to come to

  1161. Jesus and

  1162. be united

  1163. with God,

  1164. and God

  1165. will give

  1166. you rest

  1167. and his

  1168. spirit to

  1169. help you

  1170. love those

  1171. you can

  1172. see,

  1173. and so

  1174. that you

  1175. are genuinely

  1176. following him.

  1177. And as you

  1178. experience God's

  1179. love for you,

  1180. we are called

  1181. to go and

  1182. show this world

  1183. God's love for

  1184. them with the

  1185. help of his

  1186. spirit, to

  1187. love with

  1188. action and

  1189. in truth.

  1190. set

  1191. and

  1192. let's

  1193. create—
