  1. You may be seated.

  2. Good morning.

  3. My name is Matthew Capone, and I'm the pastor here at Cheyenne Mountain Presbyterian Church,

  4. and it's my joy to bring God's word to you today.

  5. A special welcome if you're new or visiting with us.

  6. We're glad that you're here.

  7. And we're glad that you're here not because we're trying to fill seats,

  8. but because we're following Jesus together as one community.

  9. And as we follow Jesus together, we become convinced that there's no one so good,

  10. they don't need God's grace, and no one so bad that they can't have it.

  11. Which is why we come back week after week to hear what God has to say to us in his word.

  12. We're continuing this morning our series in the book of Romans.

  13. The book of Romans is a letter written by the Apostle Paul in the 50s AD,

  14. and it is called Romans for a very simple reason,

  15. which is that it's written to the churches in the city of Rome.

  16. This letter is about the gospel.

  17. It's about the good news of Jesus' death and resurrection.

  18. And Paul's hope in writing it, as we saw in chapter 1,

  19. is that these churches would be established in the gospel.

  20. We're going to see many applications, as we already have,

  21. but Paul is especially concerned with the mission and the unity of the church.

  22. And while we go off on many different topics,

  23. there will be many spokes in the book of Romans.

  24. We are constantly coming back to the hub of the gospel.

  25. We are approaching the end of chapter 3 of the book of Romans.

  26. Paul is coming to the conclusion of his argument that everyone deserves God's wrath,

  27. both the religious and the non-religious.

  28. And so as he comes to his climax here, he presents one of his final arguments,

  29. his final proofs of human depravity,

  30. which are the words that come out of our mouths.

  31. And so I invite you to turn with me now to God's word.

  32. You can turn in your Bible.

  33. You can turn on your phone.

  34. You can turn in your worship guide.

  35. No matter where you turn, remember that this is God's word.

  36. Proverbs chapter 30, verse 5 tells us,

    Proverbs 30:5

  37. every word of God proves true.

  38. He's a shield to those who take refuge in him.

  39. And so that's why we read now Romans chapter 3, starting at verse 13.

    Romans 3 chapter mention

  40. Their throat is an open grave.

  41. They use their tongues to deceive.

  42. The venom of asps is under their lips.

  43. Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.

  44. Their feet are swift to shed blood.

  45. In their paths are ruin and misery.

  46. And the way of peace they have not known.

  47. There is no fear of God before their eyes.

  48. I invite you to pray with me as we come to this portion of God's word.

  49. Our Father in heaven, we do praise you and we thank you again as we do every Sunday.

  50. That you have given us rich and deep, challenging and encouraging instruction in your word.

  51. Lord, we ask that you would do that.

  52. You do it again this morning.

  53. That you'd pour out your Holy Spirit here now in a special way among us.

  54. That we would be able to hear and believe and understand what you've written for us here in your word.

  55. Most of all, we ask that you would show us Jesus with great clarity.

  56. That we would see his beauty, his love, his mercy, and his grace.

  57. That it would melt our hearts and we would follow after him in faith.

  58. We ask all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

  59. Amen.

  60. 13 years ago, now soon to be 14 years ago, in 2011, we celebrated our great American event of Super Bowl XLV.

  61. And as you know, for some people, the Super Bowl is about the football.

  62. And for some of us, the Super Bowl is about the commercials.

  63. And in 2011, Bridgestone Tire ran what became a famous commercial about how efficient and beautiful and durable their products were.

  64. It starts out with two men who are together next to each other in a cubicle farm.

  65. And we find out that one man, whose name is Rod, has just fired off an email to the man in the cubicle next to him.

  66. That seems like a normal occurrence, except maybe they could talk to each other instead of emailing back and forth.

  67. And his friend turns to him, though, and says,

  68. Oh no, Rod, you sent this email, reply all.

  69. You hit reply all.

  70. And Rod looks like his life has just come to an end.

  71. And so he runs off out of the office.

  72. He gets into his car with his wonderful Bridgestone tires that take him quickly to a conference room

  73. where we see him running around the ring of the conference table, slamming laptops shut

  74. before anyone has a chance to see his email.

  75. He then reaches into a home window where someone is working from home,

  76. grabs their laptop, pulls it out of the window, and disappears.

  77. He shows up in a restaurant where there's a man on a laptop,

  78. and he interrupts the server so that she spills coffee onto his keyboard.

  79. He slaps cell phones out of people's hands.

  80. He even goes off-road, which I assume is to show us again how great Bridgestone is,

  81. to hunt down a man who is backpacking in the wilderness.

  82. So he can also intercept the email.

  83. And at the end, we see him running into a room, perhaps full of computer servers,

  84. and he rips the wires out of the wall.

  85. All the while, Rod is screaming.

  86. And why is Rod screaming?

  87. Why is he in such a rush to intercept everyone's laptop and phone before they have a chance to see his email?

  88. Well, we get a hint at the very beginning of the commercial because as Rod hits send,

  89. there is a big smirk on his face.

  90. Rod is screaming because he has just emailed out something so inappropriate.

  91. Maybe it's scandalous.

  92. Maybe it's hurtful.

  93. But there's only one answer.

  94. He needs Bridgestone tires to get him there in time.

  95. Before they read his words and find out the truth.

  96. Paul is making his closing argument here of chapters 1 through 3 in Romans.

  97. I've been telling you that he sums it up in verse 23, which we'll come to soon,

  98. when he says,

  99. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

  100. So I've told you over and over now, Paul's making this argument that everyone deserves God's wrath.

  101. Chapter 1, non-religious people, the Gentiles, deserve God's wrath.

  102. Chapter 2, religious people, the Jews, deserve God's wrath.

  103. Chapter 3, Paul responds to objections and ties it all together.

  104. He is answering all excuses.

  105. He is closing all doors.

  106. He is leaving no room for escape.

  107. And so as he comes to the very end of this argument, the chance for him to clench it once and for all,

  108. where does he go?

  109. If he is going to answer every objection and close every mouth, he heads to our words.

  110. Paul is saying this.

  111. You think you can wiggle out of everything that I've said in these previous three chapters.

  112. Maybe you're convinced that somehow it doesn't apply to you.

  113. Well, as we come to the end, let's look at this.

  114. What are the words that come out of your mouth?

  115. That's why he tells us, verse 13,

  116. Their throat is an open grave.

  117. Imagine you go to the cemetery and you dig up a casket,

  118. and it has been there for 20 years.

  119. This happens in TV shows all too often, by the way.

  120. And you open it up.

  121. What will it smell like?

  122. That's the image that Paul wants you to have.

  123. He's saying that is what human speech is like.

  124. The words that come out of our mouths stink like a dead corpse to high heaven.

  125. It goes even further than that.

  126. Verse 13, he says,

  127. The venom of asps is under their lips.

  128. Asps is a type of snake.

  129. It's a category of snake.

  130. There's snakes that are poisonous.

  131. In other words, Paul is saying,

  132. When you speak against someone,

  133. Verse 14,

  134. With curses and bitterness,

  135. You are biting them.

  136. But it is not the bite of a garden snake.

  137. It is in fact the bite of a rattlesnake.

  138. It doesn't merely hurt.

  139. It kills.

  140. You might say,

  141. Sticks and stones can break my bones.

  142. Words will never hurt me.

  143. Paul here would seek to differ.

  144. He's telling us the things that come out of our mouths

  145. Have the power to kill.

  146. The venom of asps is under their lips.

  147. The commercial with Rod landed so well

  148. Because we all know the truth.

  149. There are things that you have said

  150. And there are things that I have said

  151. That we would like to remain hidden.

  152. Some of you are going to the book of James

  153. In Sunday school right now.

  154. I don't know if you're to chapter 3 yet or not.

  155. But James makes the same argument.

  156. Chapter 3, verse 2, he says,

  157. For we all stumble in many ways.

  158. And if anybody does not stumble in what he says,

  159. He is a perfect man.

  160. Able also to bridle his whole body.

  161. Now, if you lack self-awareness,

  162. You might hear that and say,

  163. Wow, I didn't know I was a perfect man.

  164. But I'm perfect in the things that come out of my mouth.

  165. Well, just in case that's your thought,

  166. James follows up, verses 8 and 9.

  167. But no human being can tame the tongue.

  168. It is a restless evil,

  169. This is going to sound familiar,

  170. Full of deadly poison.

  171. Paul hasn't made a mistake here.

  172. He hasn't misspoken by talking about asps.

  173. No, James says the same thing.

  174. It's not a garden snake.

  175. It's a rattlesnake.

  176. If you have made it this far

  177. In the book of Romans,

  178. And you think you're good.

  179. You think you're able to get off the hook

  180. In every angle that Paul has exposed,

  181. The question is this.

  182. Have you ever spoken poorly of someone else?

  183. Have you ever said something

  184. In order to harm someone else?

  185. No one does good, not even one.

  186. Their throat is an open grave.

  187. They use their tongues to deceive.

  188. The venom of asps is under their lips.

  189. Now you might say to that,

  190. Well, you know,

  191. Nobody's perfect.

  192. Everyone has said things that they regret,

  193. So it must not be a big deal.

  194. And if you say that,

  195. Of course you've made the great mistake.

  196. And the great mistake is this,

  197. To compare yourself

  198. To the people around you.

  199. What has Paul been telling us?

  200. What's the standard?

  201. The standard is the holiness of God.

  202. The standard is not the people around us.

  203. The standard is God himself.

  204. And so that's why the prophet Isaiah,

  205. In Isaiah chapter 6,

    Isaiah 6 chapter mention

  206. When he encounters the holiness of God,

  207. Says this,

  208. Woe is me, for I am lost.

  209. I am a man of unclean lips,

  210. And I dwell in the midst

  211. Of a people of unclean lips.

  212. For my eyes have seen the king,

  213. The lord of hosts.

  214. What's Isaiah saying?

  215. He's saying my comparison to other people

  216. Is irrelevant.

  217. When I see the holiness and glory

  218. And majesty of God,

  219. I finally know how far I fall short.

  220. Brothers and sisters,

  221. The same is true for us.

  222. And also, as I've been telling you,

  223. What Paul teaches,

  224. Jesus taught first.

  225. These are Jesus' words from Matthew chapter 12.

    Matthew 12 chapter mention

  226. Out of the abundance of the heart,

  227. The mouth speaks.

  228. The good person,

  229. Out of his good treasure,

  230. Brings forth good.

  231. And the evil person,

  232. Out of his evil treasure,

  233. Brings forth evil.

  234. But I tell you,

  235. On the day of judgment,

  236. People will give account

  237. For every careless word they speak.

  238. For by your words,

  239. You will be justified.

  240. And by your words,

  241. You will be condemned.

  242. Paul doesn't just leave us there, though.

  243. We transition

  244. From verses 13 and 14,

  245. Which talk about our words,

  246. The things that come out of our mouth.

  247. And suddenly,

  248. It gets worse.

  249. Verses 15

  250. Through 17,

  251. Savage words

  252. Lead to savage actions.

  253. Verse 15,

  254. Their feet are swift to shed blood.

  255. Verse 16,

  256. And their paths are ruin and misery.

  257. And we shouldn't be surprised

  258. That this is the progression

  259. That happens here.

  260. This is a truth

  261. That world history bears out.

  262. This is a foundational,

  263. Fundamental principle of humanity.

  264. And it's this.

  265. Hateful words

  266. Lead to violent actions.

  267. Hateful words

  268. Lead to violent actions.

  269. We might even say more than that.

  270. Dehumanizing words

  271. Lead to violent actions.

  272. You'll see this

  273. On the back of your worship guide.

  274. Dehumanization has fueled

  275. Innumerable acts of violence.

  276. Human rights violations.

  277. War crimes.

  278. And genocide.

  279. It makes slavery, torture,

  280. And human trafficking possible.

  281. Dehumanizing others

  282. Is the process

  283. By which we become accepting

  284. Of violations

  285. Against human nature

  286. The human spirit

  287. And for many of us

  288. Violations against

  289. The central tenets

  290. Of our faith.

  291. Brene Brown is saying

  292. In the 21st century

  293. What Paul knew

  294. In the first century

  295. What history has borne out

  296. Hateful words

  297. Lead to violent actions.

  298. Brene Brown then goes on

  299. To give a list of examples

  300. The Nazis

  301. Called the Jews

  302. Rats

  303. In the Rwanda genocide

  304. The Hutus

  305. Called the Tutsis

  306. Cockroaches

  307. The Serbs

  308. Called the Bosnians

  309. Aliens

  310. In fact this is

  311. A recognized tactic

  312. Of fascist leaders

  313. You dehumanize

  314. Your opponents

  315. And then you justify

  316. Violence

  317. And what Paul teaches

  318. Jesus taught first

  319. This is from

  320. Matthew chapter 15

    Matthew 15 chapter mention

  321. Do you not see

  322. That whatever goes

  323. Into the mouth

  324. Passes into the stomach

  325. And is expelled

  326. But what comes

  327. Out of the mouth

  328. Proceeds from the heart

  329. And this defiles

  330. A person

  331. For out of the heart

  332. Come evil thoughts

  333. Murder

  334. Adultery

  335. Sexual immorality

  336. Theft

  337. False witness

  338. And slander

  339. These

  340. Are what defile

  341. A person

  342. Hateful words

  343. Lead

  344. To violent

  345. Actions

  346. Now we could say

  347. Many things about this

  348. We could take it

  349. In many directions

  350. I'll say this

  351. For

  352. 2024

  353. As our society

  354. As our culture

  355. Becomes

  356. Less and less

  357. Christian

  358. Dehumanizing

  359. Words

  360. Are becoming

  361. More and more

  362. Common

  363. They're becoming

  364. More and more

  365. Common in our

  366. Culture

  367. In our

  368. Politics

  369. And so I want

  370. To tell you

  371. This this morning

  372. Whatever you do

  373. Whichever

  374. Politician

  375. You support

  376. Do not

  377. Participate

  378. Do not

  379. Participate

  380. In throats

  381. That are an

  382. Open grave

  383. In tongues

  384. That deceive

  385. In the venom

  386. Of asps

  387. That is under

  388. Their lips

  389. Don't participate

  390. Do not celebrate

  391. Our politicians

  392. May refer

  393. To people

  394. As garbage

  395. As deplorables

  396. As trash

  397. And as animals

  398. Brothers and sisters

  399. That is not

  400. How Christians

  401. Speak

  402. Those are not

  403. The words

  404. That come out

  405. Of your mouth

  406. Don't use them

  407. Don't celebrate

  408. Them

  409. Grieve

  410. When others

  411. Do

  412. Do not

  413. Participate

  414. Paul is

  415. Telling us

  416. Here

  417. It is

  418. Evil

  419. It is

  420. Wicked

  421. This is

  422. The sign

  423. Of God's

  424. Judgment

  425. On the world

  426. This is not

  427. The way

  428. That Christians

  429. Talk

  430. It is

  431. Language

  432. That is

  433. A stench

  434. In the

  435. Nostrils

  436. Of the

  437. Lord

  438. Not only

  439. That

  440. Winsome

  441. Speech

  442. More and

  443. More

  444. Is part of

  445. Our witness

  446. In this

  447. World

  448. When you

  449. Speak

  450. In a way

  451. That honors

  452. Those around

  453. You

  454. People will

  455. Notice

  456. And they

  457. Will notice

  458. Because our

  459. Culture is

  460. Becoming

  461. More and

  462. More crass

  463. Every year

  464. They will

  465. Know

  466. That something

  467. Is different

  468. Remember

  469. Sinful words

  470. Are not a

  471. Garden snake

  472. They are

  473. Paul has

  474. Told us

  475. This

  476. James tells

  477. Us this

  478. A rattlesnake

  479. They are

  480. Filled

  481. With venomous

  482. Poison

  604. I

  605. Have

  606. Never

  607. Said

  608. This

  609. Before

  610. This

  611. Is

  612. One

  613. To

  614. Cut

  615. Out

  616. And

  617. Keep

  618. In

  619. 2024

  620. Let

  621. Us

  622. Be

  623. Known

  624. By

  625. Our

  626. Love

  627. Let

  628. Us

  629. Have

  630. Words

  631. That

  632. Are

  633. Honest

  634. And

  635. True

  636. Economical

  637. And

  638. Few

  639. Wise

  640. And

  641. Well

  642. Chosen

  643. Calm

  644. And

  645. Kind

  646. And

  647. How

  648. Will

  649. We

  650. Have

  651. Words

  652. Like

  653. That

  654. When

  655. And

  656. Only

  657. When

  658. God

  659. Gives

  660. Us

  661. So

  662. Much

  663. Love

  664. And

  665. Grace

  666. That

  667. It

  668. Comes

  669. Naturally

  670. To

  671. Us

  672. What

  673. Paul

  674. Taught

  675. Jesus

  676. Taught

  677. First

  678. Matthew

    Matthew 5 chapter mention

  679. Chapter

  680. 5

  681. You

  682. Have

  683. Heard

  684. That

  685. It

  686. Was

  687. Said

  688. To

  689. Those

  690. Of

  691. Old

  692. You

  693. Shall

  694. Not

  695. Murder

  696. And

  697. Whoever

  698. Murders

  699. Will

  700. Be

  701. Liable

  702. To

  703. Judgment

  704. But

  705. I

  706. Say

  707. To

  708. You

  709. That

  710. Everyone

  711. Who

  712. Is

  713. Angry

  714. With

  715. His

  716. Brother

  717. Will

  718. Be

  719. Liable

  720. To

  721. Judgment

  722. Whoever

  723. Insults

  724. His

  725. Brother

  726. Will

  727. Be

  728. Liable

  729. To

  730. The

  731. Council

  732. And

  733. Whoever

  734. Says

  735. You

  736. Fool

  737. Will

  738. Be

  739. Liable

  740. To

  741. The

  742. Fires

  743. Of

  744. Hell

  745. Paul

  746. Then

  747. Goes

  748. On

  749. To

  750. Tell

  751. Us

  752. Verse

  753. 17

  754. The

  755. Conclusion

  756. The

  757. Summary

  758. Of

  759. All

  760. This

  761. And

  762. The

  763. Way

  764. Of

  765. Peace

  766. They

  767. Have

  768. Not

  769. Known

  770. Of

  771. Course

  772. We

  773. Don't

  774. Need

  775. Paul

  776. To

  777. Tell

  778. Us

  779. That

  780. History

  781. Proves

  782. That

  783. As

  784. Well

  794. I

  795. Mispronounced

  796. That

  799. In

  800. Over

  801. 3500

  802. Years

  803. Of

  804. Recorded

  805. History

  806. Only

  812. What

  813. Else

  814. Is

  815. There

  816. To

  817. Say

  818. The

  819. Way

  820. Of

  821. Peace

  822. They

  823. Have

  824. Not

  826. What's

  827. The

  828. Reason

  829. The

  830. Root

  831. For

  832. All

  833. Of

  834. This

  835. Paul

  836. Tells

  837. Us

  838. That

  839. As

  840. Well

  841. In

  842. Verse

  843. 18

  844. Why

  845. Is

  846. It

  847. That

  848. We

  849. Have

  850. These

  851. Poisonous

  852. Words

  853. And

  854. These

  855. Violent

  856. Actions

  857. It's

  858. Because

  859. There

  860. Is

  861. No

  862. Fear

  863. Of

  864. God

  865. Before

  866. Their

  867. Eyes

  868. The

  869. Problem

  870. Is

  871. The

  872. Problem

  873. Is

  874. Not

  875. Read

  876. Enough

  877. Books

  878. About

  879. History

  880. And

  881. The

  882. Power

  883. Of

  884. Words

  885. The

  886. Problem

  887. Is

  888. Not

  889. That

  890. There

  891. Has

  892. Not

  893. Been

  894. Enough

  895. Education

  896. And

  897. Teaching

  898. The

  899. Problem

  900. Is

  901. Not

  902. That

  903. No

  904. One

  905. Told

  906. Them

  907. No

  908. The

  909. Problem

  910. Is

  911. That

  912. God

  913. And

  914. His

  915. Glory

  916. And

  917. Power

  918. And

  919. Authority

  920. Are

  921. Not

  922. At

  923. The

  924. Forefront

  925. Of

  926. Their

  927. Vision

  928. To

  929. Fear

  930. The

  931. Lord

  932. Means

  933. That

  934. We

  935. Have

  936. A

  937. Right

  938. Understanding

  939. Of

  940. Who

  941. God

  942. Is

  943. And

  944. His

  945. Role

  946. In

  947. This

  948. World

  949. We

  950. Know

  951. That

  952. God

  953. Is

  954. The

  955. Judge

  956. Of

  957. All

  958. The

  959. Earth

  960. And

  961. That

  962. All

  963. Our

  964. Life

  965. Is

  966. Lived

  967. Before

  968. Him

  969. It's

  970. To

  971. Know

  972. Jesus

  973. Words

  974. That

  975. We've

  976. Already

  977. Read

  978. From

  979. Matthew

    Matthew 12 chapter mention

  980. Chapter

  981. 12

  982. On

  983. The

  984. Day

  985. Of

  986. Judgment

  987. People

  988. Will

  989. Give

  990. Account

  991. For

  992. Every

  993. Careless

  994. Word

  995. They

  996. Speak

  997. To

  998. Know

  999. That

  1000. Is

  1001. To

  1002. Know

  1003. The

  1004. Fear

  1005. Of

  1006. God

  1007. To

  1008. Know

  1009. The

  1010. Fear

  1011. Of

  1012. God

  1013. Is

  1014. To

  1015. Recognize

  1016. That

  1017. We

  1018. Don't

  1019. Belong

  1020. To

  1021. Ourselves

  1022. But

  1023. We

  1024. Belong

  1025. To

  1026. Him

  1027. And

  1028. If

  1029. We

  1030. Fear

  1031. God

  1032. We

  1033. Will

  1034. Know

  1035. That

  1036. We

  1037. Must

  1038. Have

  1039. What

  1040. Paul

  1041. Talks

  1042. About

  1043. In

  1044. Romans

  1045. Chapter

  1046. One

  1047. We

  1048. Must

  1049. Have

  1050. A

  1051. Righteousness

  1052. That

  1053. Comes

  1054. From

  1055. Faith

  1056. For

  1057. Faith

  1058. Why

  1059. Why do

  1060. We need

  1061. That

  1062. Righteousness

  1063. Because

  1064. All

  1065. Have

  1066. Sinned

  1067. And

  1068. Fall

  1069. Short

  1070. Of

  1071. The

  1072. Glory

  1073. Of

  1074. God

  1075. Our

  1076. Words

  1077. Expose

  1078. It

  1079. Our

  1080. Minds

  1081. Reveal

  1082. It

  1083. Why

  1084. Are

  1085. We

  1086. Told

  1087. That

  1088. Their

  1089. Throat

  1090. Is

  1091. An

  1092. Open

  1093. Grave

  1094. That

  1095. Their

  1096. Words

  1097. Are

  1098. Death

  1099. We're

  1100. Told

  1101. That

  1102. Because

  1103. Mankind

  1104. Is

  1105. Spiritually

  1106. Dead

  1107. Paul

  1108. Tells

  1109. Us

  1110. In

  1111. The

  1112. Letter

  1113. To

  1114. The

  1115. Ephesians

  1116. Ephesians

  1117. Chapter

  1118. Two

  1119. That

  1120. We

  1121. Are

  1122. Dead

  1123. In

  1124. Our

  1125. Sins

  1126. And

  1127. Trespasses

  1128. And

  1129. So

  1130. We

  1131. Actually

  1132. Don't

  1133. Have

  1134. The

  1135. Power

  1136. By

  1137. Our

  1138. We

  1139. Can't

  1140. Pull

  1141. Our

  1142. Our

  1143. So

  1144. Up

  1145. By

  1146. The

  1147. Boot

  1148. Traps

  1149. And

  1150. Suddenly

  1151. Make

  1152. Our

  1153. Words

  1154. Honest

  1155. And

  1156. True

  1157. Economical

  1158. And

  1159. Few

  1160. Wise

  1161. And

  1162. Well

  1163. Chosen

  1164. Common

  1165. Kind

  1166. You're

  1167. Not

  1168. Powerful

  1169. Enough

  1170. To

  1171. Do

  1172. That

  1173. You

  1174. Can't

  1175. Do

  1176. It

  1177. On

  1178. Your

  1179. Own

  1180. You

  1181. See

  1182. The

  1183. Problem

  1184. I've

  1185. Told

  1186. You

  1187. Before

  1188. The

  1189. Gospel

  1190. Is

  1191. This

  1192. The

  1193. Gospel

  1194. Is

  1195. The

  1196. Admission

  1197. That

  1198. We

  1199. Must

  1200. Change

  1201. And

  1202. The

  1203. Recognition

  1204. We

  1205. Cannot

  1206. Change

  1207. Ourselves

  1208. And

  1209. In

  1210. Holding

  1211. Those

  1212. Two

  1213. Things

  1214. There

  1215. Is

  1216. Great

  1217. Hope

  1218. Remember

  1219. When

  1220. We

  1221. Were

  1222. In

  1223. The

  1224. Gospel

  1225. Of

  1226. Mark

  1227. Chapter

  1228. Two

  1229. Jesus

  1230. Is

  1231. Accused

  1232. Of

  1233. Eating

  1234. With

  1235. Sinners

  1236. And

  1237. Tax

  1238. Collectors

  1239. What

  1240. Kind

  1241. Of

  1242. Words

  1243. Do

  1244. You

  1245. Think

  1246. Came

  1247. Out

  1248. Of

  1249. Sinners

  1250. And

  1251. Tax

  1252. Collectors

  1253. Mouths

  1254. Yeah

  1255. Not

  1256. Good

  1257. Ones

  1258. And

  1259. So

  1260. The

  1261. Scribes

  1262. And

  1263. The

  1264. Pharisees

  1265. Come

  1266. And

  1267. They

  1268. Say

  1269. Jesus

  1270. Why

  1271. Are

  1272. You

  1273. Doing

  1274. This

  1275. Why

  1276. Are

  1277. You

  1278. Hanging

  1279. Out

  1280. With

  1281. These

  1282. People

  1283. And

  1284. He

  1285. Says

  1286. This

  1287. Those

  1288. Who

  1289. Are

  1290. Well

  1291. Have

  1292. No

  1293. Need

  1294. Of

  1295. A

  1296. Physician

  1297. But

  1298. Those

  1299. Who

  1300. Are

  1301. Sick

  1302. I

  1303. Came

  1304. Not

  1305. To

  1306. Call

  1307. The

  1308. Righteous

  1309. But

  1310. Sinners

  1311. Do

  1312. You

  1313. That

  1314. You're

  1315. Sick

  1316. Do

  1317. You

  1318. Know

  1319. That

  1320. You're

  1321. A

  1322. Sinner

  1323. Do

  1324. You

  1325. Know

  1326. That

  1327. You

  1328. Must

  1329. Change

  1330. And

  1331. You

  1332. Cannot

  1333. Change

  1334. Yourself

  1335. Jesus

  1336. Christ

  1337. Offers

  1338. To

  1339. Heal

  1340. You

  1341. Come

  1342. To

  1343. Him

  1344. In

  1345. Faith

  1346. Let's

  1347. Pray

  1348. Our

  1349. Father

  1350. In

  1351. Heaven

  1352. We

  1353. Do

  1354. Praise

  1355. You

  1356. And

  1357. Thank

  1358. You

  1359. For

  1360. Your

  1361. Word

  1362. That

  1363. Pierces

  1364. Us

  1365. To

  1366. Our

  1367. Heart

  1368. That

  1369. Challenges

  1370. Us

  1371. That

  1372. Shows

  1373. Us

  1374. Our

  1375. Great

  1376. Need

  1377. For

  1378. You

  1379. And

  1380. Your

  1381. Grace

  1382. And

  1383. Also

  1384. Reminds

  1385. Us

  1386. That

  1387. Your

  1388. Grace

  1389. Is

  1390. Greater

  1391. Than

  1392. Our

  1393. Sin

  1394. We

  1395. Ask

  1396. That

  1397. You

  1398. Would

  1399. Move

  1400. Us

  1401. With

  1402. Great

  1403. Conviction

  1404. That

  1405. We

  1406. Would

  1407. See

  1408. Even

  1409. More

  1410. Our

  1411. Need

  1412. For

  1413. You

  1414. We

  1415. Would

  1416. Embrace

  1417. Even

  1418. More

  1419. Your

  1420. Grace

  1421. And

  1422. Your

  1423. Mercy

  1424. In

  1425. Jesus

  1426. Christ

  1427. We

  1428. Ask

  1429. These
