Mister Birthday: Children's Address

Good morning, boys and girls. I'm going to tell you a story

today about mr. Birthday.

Now, as his name, suggests Mester birthday, loved

birthdays, and I know It's some people don't like you to mention

their birthday. In fact, they get a bit cross

and upset. But Mr. Birthday, he was the

opposite. He loved birthdays and he

specially, he love birthday parties.

Oh, yes, he loved getting cards and he thought it was very good

and kind of people to give a present but he love birthday

parties. Best of all and you know what

his skill was? His skill was organizing a

birthday party. And everywhere you would have

seen mr. Birthday.

He was wearing his party hot. He organized a happy birthday

party for mr. Greedy.

He had to make two cakes one for everyone else on one for mr.

Greedy. He also had a happy birthday

party for mr. Sully and of course, mr.

Celli wore those silly party hats all day.

He also had a birthday party arranged for mr.

Jelly. But you know, we couldn't have

any balloons because mr. Jelly, he was afraid and kissed

the Bruins would go pop, was not sad but one day.

It was. Mr. Happy's Happy Birthday.

I'm mr. Birthday was busy organizing it.

And he had a big banner up inside the house.

Happy birthday. Mr. Happy and all the friends

came and they give them cards and they give them presents and

they had birthday cake and they had jelly.

And Ice cream. And they really had a

fantabulous day. Whatever.

They were leaving. Mr. Happy, thank everybody for

coming. And he especially, thank mr.

Birthday for organizing the birthday and as mr.

Birthday was going down. The lien way from mr.

Happy's highs. Mr. Happy said this to him.

He was puzzled. So we got home and he looked up

Then he met mr. Forgetful, and mr.

Forgetful was walking looking at us harm and then his hand was

Oh gosh. Oh gosh.

Oh gosh. What am I going to get for the

birthday party? Next week?

Well, mr. Birthday.

Couldn't stick it any longer. So he went round to mr.

Happy sighs. He knocked on the door.

Mr. Happy, he answered the door. Yes, mr.

Birthday. Hi, can I help you?

Well, mr. Happy, whose birthday is it next

week? This is what mr.

Happy said, you come right next Tuesday.

At 3:00. Don't believe it and I tell you

whose birthday. It is so mr.

Birthday. He couldn't whip the Tuesday and

one choose to come boys and girls are 3:00 on the dot.

He was round ringing the doorbell for mr.

Happy. Mr. Happy answered immediately

and he says to mr. Happy know.

Mr. Happy, tell me straight away.

They boys and girls that got me thinking the word birthday isn't

mentioned in the Bible and I discovered that it is it's

mentioned in Genesis 40:10 about Pharaoh's birthday, and he was a

Remember, he was the Pharaoh that in sleeved the children of

Israel and made them work for nothing on beat a whole lot of

Did you know that Heritage birthday is also mentioned in

the Bible. It is mentioned twice.

In Matthew, chapter 14, and also in Mark chapter 6 there.

discovered that there's one reference in the Bible.

Old to the day of one's birth. And of course, the day of one's

birth is linked to the word birthday.

I'm not versus fine in Ecclesiastes, chapter 7, verse 1

Ecclesiastes 7:1

and it says, a good name is better than precious ointment on

the day of death than the day of one's birth.

And I was thinking, well, in relation to birthdays.

What do we do? What sort of tame as it?

Could? I suggest?

Boys and girls and young people. If you're listening to me that

it's a time to Rejoice. Do you know that astray special

word that came from the lips of mr.

Happy to all his friends especially to mr.

Birthday who organized the happy event for him?

And it was this. Thank you through the Bible says

boys and girls and everything. Give thanks for this is the will

of God in Christ. Jesus concerning you and wider.

Birthday is a very special time and it's a happy occasion.

Remembering the day of your birth, but you should also thank

your parents, your mom and dad. You should especially thank

those who organized your, happy birthday party, whether it's

your brothers or sisters or your best friend or your mommy and

daddy. You should also thank those gas

that come to your party. Those that give you a card.

Those that give you a special gift, but you know what you

should also thank the Lord because it's a time to remember

the day of your birth. It's A time to rejoice in the

very precious gift of life. For remember the Bible tells us

that in him. We move and live and have her

being and it was the psalmist. David that said be thankful unto

him and bless us neum. And you could be thankful for

the day of your birth that God has given you.

The very, very precious gift of life, but it's not only a time

to Rejoice, Boys and Girls. It's A Time To Remember many,

many years ago. There was a great Baptist

preacher called Charles Haddon Spurgeon.

He lived in London and he preached in the metropolitan

Tabernacle to a crowd of about 6,000 people.

And, you know what he said about one's birthday.

There's a number of questions that every time a birthday comes

around that you should think about it and hear the questions

are. Who am I?

And why am I here? What am I doing?

Who am I serving? Where am I going?

I'm will I be rewarded, I'm things, of course, questions all

tie into a spiritual nature because we should remember who

be are not just your name like a my birthday.

I can remember. And even McLaughlin.

I can remember who my mama and daddy is and I can remember the

family into him. I am born, but you know what?

Earth Day is an occasion to remember that God has given you

a very precious gift. The gift of Life.

Who am I? I'm a creature made in Hemet as

image. I'm dependent on him for in him.

That's given me the very precious gift of Life.

He's the god, whose hand. My breath is.

That's who I am. I'm also a Christian.

I'm a child of the king and a not only who am I, but why am I

our purpose in life. We're here to glorify God and to

enjoy him. Not only think of who am I and

why am I here? But think of who am I serving?

What am I doing here? You see the psalmist?

Could say I serve the Lord Christ.

Joshua could say I was for me and my house.

We will serve the Lord. I wonder are you living for?

And serving the lord even on your birthday.

Can you recall that also think about?

Where are you going? Do you know a true Christian has

this wonderful Assurance? Surely goodness and mercy shall

follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the

house of the Lord forever. It was the Apostle Paul that

talked about being absent from the body and present with the

Lord, you think of the day of death.

Armed, it's chosen rather more precious than the day of one's

birth because not only have we are birthday.

But let's remember we all have a deaf day and we've got to live

in light of Eternity and we've got to prepare to meet our God

and will be. Will we be rewarded the answers?

Yes, whenever we are brought into heaven.

We will hear those words. Well done, good, and faithful

servant and there though end to the jaw.

I of thy Lord, but there's one other thing that I want to leave

with you. It's not only a time to rejoice

in the time, to remember, it's a time to recite because what did

Master birthday? Forget he forgot his own

birthday. He forgot to recite and record

his own birthday. And you see Barzillai an old

King David? How long have I to live?

And the true answer to that question is not very long.

Do you know that our life is swifter than us, Weaver shovel.

Do you know, boys and girls that our life is like the vapor if

you watch the steam coming out of the cattle, whenever it's

boiling to make your coffee, or your tea in the morning, and it

doesn't last very long. Well, that's what your life is,

like, in the eyes of the Almighty.

We don't live very long. Even if we get to eat a or 90 or

100 at still, not very long in comparison to God's eternity and

more than that. God has determined the number of

our days. And that's why some are died in

infancy. And that's why some die in their

20s and their 30s in their 40s and their 50s or 60s and their

70s. It is gold of us determine the

number of our days. So, every day is precious.

I'm on the Bible says, teach us to number our days that we may

apply. Why our hearts unto wisdom and

can I tell you something else? We have enough time left to get

right with God. My the Bible doesn't really tell

us to wait until tomorrow says boast, not thyself of tomorrow,

for no man knoweth. What a day may bring forth.

Jesus said sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

But listen to this. Paul says today, if you will

hear his voice Harden, not your hearts.

Behold my, as they accepted time behold.

Now is the day of salvation, and I asked you even on your

birthday. Not only to Rejoice with

thankfulness. Not only to remember these

important questions, but can you recite that you have a spiritual

birthday that there was a day when you were born again of the

holy spirit that day, when you ask Jesus Christ to be your lord

and your savior, I trust you remember the story of mr.

Burfoot. You rejoice and give, thanks

that. It is your birthday and you'll

celebrate that with all your family and friends around you.

But you remember these important questions.

Do you love the Lord? Are you living for him?

Do you belong to him? Are you his child?

And can you recite that testimony, that your heads?

Remember you haven't long to live.

God has set the number of your days.

And remember this, God has given you time to prepare and get

right with him to repent and receive Christ as Lord and

savior. And thank you for listening
