  1. Let's turn our Bibles to the word of God.

  2. We're turning this morning to the Psalm 60.

  3. I'm going to read all 12 verses. Psalm 60.

  4. Let's hear the word of God. We're reading, of course, from

  5. the Authorised version, most faithful and reliable

  6. translation of the Holy Scriptures.

  7. Translation that saw revival in our land.

  8. The words that come up on the screen for all who are online

  9. this morning. Psalm 60, Let's hear the word of

  10. God reading from verse one. Oh God, thou has cast us off.

  11. Thou hast scattered us. Thou hast been displeased.

  12. O. Turn thyself to us again, That

  13. was made the earth to tremble. Thou hast broken it.

  14. Heal the. Breeches thereof, for it Shaketh

  15. that has showed thy people hard things.

  16. That was made us. To drink the wine.

  17. Of astonishment. That was given a banner to them

  18. that. Fear thee.

  19. That it may be displayed because of thy truth.

  20. Cedar that thy beloved may be delivered.

  21. See if with thy right hand, and hear me.

  22. God has spoken in His Holiness. I will rejoice.

  23. I will divide Sheckem and meet. Out the valley of Sucketh,

  24. Gilead is mine and the NASA is mine.

  25. Eve Frame also was the strength of mine.

  26. Head Judah is my law giver. Moab is my wash pot over Eden

  27. will I cast out my shoe? Felicitia triumph though,

  28. because of me. Who will bring me into the.

  29. Strong city. Who will lead me into Eden?

  30. Wilt not thou? O God, Which?

  31. Has cast us off. And thou, O God.

  32. Which didst not. Go out with our armies.

  33. Give us help from trouble for. V and is the.

  34. Help of man. Through God we shall do

  35. valiantly. For he it is that shall tread

  36. down our enemies. Amen.

  37. We know the. Lord will stamped with his own

  38. approval and blessing this reading of his own precious and

  39. infallible word amongst us today.

  40. Now this morning my text is taken from Psalm 60 verse.

  41. One and have entitled a subject, a prayer to God, to see of

  42. Ulster, now the majority. Of us, if not all.

  43. Listening to me preached. The word of.

  44. God today would agree that this we province of Northern Ireland,

  45. this we please we call home or the province of Ulster.

  46. It's in terrible bad shape. It's in bad shape politically.

  47. It's in bad shape culturally and economically and morally and

  48. religiously and spiritually. Now I have a question for.

  49. Us And it's this. What is the answer to ulsters

  50. woes and troubles? At this time.

  51. Let me tell you what the answer's not.

  52. The answer's not in politics, not in any political party.

  53. Ulster's answer is not in an economic revival and the removal

  54. of the Irish Sea border that so wickedly has been imposed upon

  55. us by the British government at the behest of the Irish

  56. government and the European. Union.

  57. In the pretext of getting breakfast done, it has done

  58. damage to us economically and constitutionally.

  59. I want to tell you the answer is not us trying to be morally good

  60. and deal with all the moral ills of the day.

  61. That's a part of the answer, but that's not the right and real.

  62. Answer. I want to tell you even the

  63. prayer Revive us. You know, the answer is not even

  64. in a religious revival. We we all want the House of God

  65. filled again on the day of God. We want people to come in their

  66. hundreds and thousands to worship the living and the true

  67. God. Now that's a component.

  68. Part of the answer. But that's not the real and the

  69. right answer. The right answer is not even of

  70. all the professing people of God.

  71. We're motivated by the spirit of God.

  72. I'm thinking of the Church of the first born.

  73. If if they all got right with God and sin was put away and

  74. they were really and truly loving the Lord with all their

  75. hearts, soul, mind and strength and loving their neighbours,

  76. their self, that's an important aspect of life here in Northern

  77. Ireland. That's a component.

  78. Part of the answer. But not the right and real

  79. answer. So what is the right and real

  80. answer this morning for Northern Ireland's woes and Troubles?

  81. If you look at Psalm 60 verse. One you've got the.

  82. Answer and Psalm 60 verse one. What do we read?

  83. Look at Psalm 60 verse one. Let's read it together.

  84. It says this Psalm 60 verse one. Oh God, thou has cast us off.

  85. Thou was scattered. Thou was being displeased.

  86. Oh, turn thyself to us. Again.

  87. Do you see those words who turn thyself to us again?

  88. That's the answer to Ulster's woes and troubles.

  89. Here's a prayer to. God to save.

  90. Ulster, you see, the Samus is addressing God in prayer.

  91. He is facing up to the real and root problems in the land of

  92. Israel. And he says, oh God, thou has

  93. cast it off. Thou has scattered us.

  94. Thou has been sore, displeased. Oh, turn thyself to us again.

  95. Is not a powerful prayer, is not a persistent prayer.

  96. Is that not a a practical prayer dealing with the woes and

  97. troubles that he's facing? See the word.

  98. TURN is used 400 and. 594 times in the authorised version. 55 of

  99. them are in the book of. Psalms.

  100. And look at it. Oh, turn thyself to us again.

  101. It's not turn us. It's not about us turning to the

  102. Lord. It's not even about the Lord

  103. coming to our hardened, backsliding hearts and and

  104. motivating us to turn to Him. That's important.

  105. That indeed is needed. A backslidden people turning to

  106. him and repentance and faith. But but this, this prayer's much

  107. more than that. Oh turn.

  108. Notice the next word, thyself. You see God as pictured as being

  109. at a distance from his people. It's as if God has withdrawn

  110. himself. It's as if He's withholding his

  111. presence and power and and and provision and protection from of

  112. his people. We need the the Lord to turn.

  113. Again, to us, that's what the Samist had in mind.

  114. And that's a prayer that's often found in the.

  115. Lips of the Samist. He prayed, Turn thee unto me,

  116. and of mercy. Upon me and Sam. 25 and verse

  117. 16. He prayed in Sam 69 and in the

  118. verse 16. Hear me, O Lord, for thy loving

  119. kindness is good. Turn unto me according to the

  120. multitude. Of thy.

  121. Tender mercies Here's a. Prayer that was often.

  122. On his lips. It was not just turn us and he

  123. prayed that three. Times in Sam 80 Sam 80 verse 3,

  124. Sam 80 verse 7 Sam 80. Verse 19 turn.

  125. Us but it. Wasn't just turn us, it was.

  126. Turn thyself to us again and then any.

  127. Prayer that you want to offer for the.

  128. Church of the First Born, Any prayer for the country.

  129. In Northern Ireland. Ears of prayer to prayer, a

  130. prayer to God to save Ulster. Oh, turn.

  131. Thyself to us again now three things that came to me in

  132. relation to this sound. One, David, is facing the

  133. reality of coming change. Look at the words.

  134. That was cast as off, that was scattered us, that was being

  135. displeased. Very important picture emerging

  136. here. Now let's think of the context

  137. cause that's. Very important in Psalm 60

  138. Psalm. 60 You know was written after the defeat.

  139. Of the Syrians. And the Edomite armies.

  140. And that battle took place in the Valley of Salts.

  141. So this is a Psalm of victory. This is a Psalm of pre, is a

  142. Psalm of celebration, a Psalm of rejoicing.

  143. How do I know that? Even though that's not the

  144. picture in verse one, you see David is facing the reality of

  145. coming change. Look at the title.

  146. The title of the sound to. The chief musician upon Shushan,

  147. Edith Mick Tam of. David to teach when he strove

  148. with. Aram Nahar Ain and with Amram

  149. Zoba when Joab returned and Smote of Edum in the valley of

  150. salt 12,000. Now you see this title.

  151. I believe this is an inspired title, and in the Hebrew Bible

  152. the title actually forms the first verse.

  153. Of the Sam. Think of this specific purpose.

  154. Notice the words here to the chief musician.

  155. Upon Shushan Edith Mektam of. David to teach the word mektam

  156. means golden. Here's a a precious.

  157. Truth. Like, like a golden nugget.

  158. Something that's to be prized, something that's to be

  159. possessed, something that's to be counted, precious.

  160. Something that's to be engraved in the heart of mind.

  161. Here's a Psalm worthy of note, A Psalm that's designed to

  162. instruct and a Psalm that's designed to to teach.

  163. Remember what the Apostle Paul? Told us there and Romans chapter

    Romans 15 chapter mention

  164. 15 and in the verse 4. Now whatsoever things are

  165. written the four time are written for our learning that we

  166. through patience and comfort of the scriptures might of hope and

  167. in First Corinthians chapter 10, verse 11 he said Now all.

    1 Corinthians 10:11

  168. These things happened. Unto them for examples, and they

  169. are written for our admonition, upon whom the end of.

  170. The world are come. The word admonition means new

  171. austethema. It means to put into the mind

  172. and you see one of the features. Of the Psalms, what they were

  173. written to be sung. But singing is not just about

  174. other praise and offering praise.

  175. It's another purpose. And part of the purpose in

  176. singing is teaching. And our hemology should reflect

  177. and be rooted in good theology. Here's a golden truth for the

  178. heart and mind of the people of God.

  179. We fill our mind with who God is and what he's like and what he

  180. does for his people. He's a God who sees.

  181. He's a God who helps. That's the specific purpose.

  182. Notice the specific place if you look again at the title.

  183. Two places. Are mentioned when he.

  184. Strove with. Amram Nahar Aeen and with Amram

  185. Zoba. Now we'll pause there.

  186. Where are these two places? Here's the answer.

  187. They're in Mesopotamia, whereas. Mesopotamia, if you look at a

  188. map, a Bible. Map.

  189. It's the land of Iraq. And you see, you've got to think

  190. of these two places located between the Tigris River and the

  191. River Euphrates, because Amram Zoba, he occupied the territory

  192. to the western side of the River Euphrates.

  193. And there were ancient times. There was a battle took place.

  194. There was fighting there the armies of the children of Israel

  195. under David and one of his generals, General Joab.

  196. And they fought the Syrians and fought the Edomites in this

  197. territory. And the battle took place as far

  198. down as Mesopotamia and. There was a specific period, it

  199. says, when he. Strove with.

  200. And then it says when. Joe AB returned.

  201. And Smote a Vedum in the Valley of Salt 12. 1000 Now you turn in

  202. your. Bible with me there to Second

    2 Samuel 8 chapter mention

  203. Samuel chapter 8. Let's read the Word of God,

  204. Second Samuel chapter 8 and verse three.

    2 Samuel 8 chapter mention

  205. It says Second Samuel 8 and verse 3.

  206. David. Smote also Haddad Ezer, the son

  207. of. Rehob.

  208. King of Zoba. As he went.

  209. To recover his border. At the river Euphrates now, do

  210. you see the location I'm telling.

  211. You this is where. Amram Zoba is it's right down at

  212. the River Euphrates. And if we read also in this

  213. second Samuel chapter 8 we read in verse 12 of Syria.

    2 Samuel 8 chapter mention

  214. And of Moab. And of the children of Ammon.

  215. And of the Philistines. And of Amalak and.

  216. Of the spoil of Haddad Ezer son of Rehob king of Zobab, and

  217. David got. Him a name when he returned from

  218. smating the Syrians in the valley of salt, being 18,000

  219. men, and he put garrisons in Eden.

  220. You see, David got him a name. And over there in.

  221. Second Samuel chapter 10 and in the verse six we read Second

2 Samuel 10 chapter mention 2 Samuel 10 chapter mention

  222. Samuel chapter 10 and in the verse six let's hear the word of

  223. God. And when the children of Ammon

  224. saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon

  225. sent and hired the Syrians of. Beth Rehab.

  226. And the Syrians of Zoba, 20,000 foot men.

  227. And of King Macca. 1000 men. And of Ishtab 12. 1000 men and

  228. when, David. Heard of it?

  229. He sent. Joe AB and all the host.

  230. Of the mighty men he seen King. David here was subduing.

  231. The nations. All around him, he was defeating

  232. the enemies as far away as the land of Mesopotamia.

  233. He was dealing with the Syrians, He was dealing with the

  234. Edomites. And the land had a period of

  235. rest and victory and rejoicing, it says in Second Samuel 7 and

  236. one. And it came to pass when the

  237. king sat in his house, and the Lord had given him rest

  238. roundabout from all his. Enemies.

  239. Joab at that. Time had Smote 12. 1000 in the

  240. Valley of Salt, David. Smote 18,000.

  241. Now think of our United Kingdom if we talked.

  242. In our history. We could go back to.

  243. The days of the Protestant Reformation, 31st of October

  244. 1517. Martin Luther, you've got to

  245. think of the monk. That's the world.

  246. We could also talk this morning of the famous Battle of the

  247. Boyne in the 1st of July. 19. 60 Where King William defeated King

  248. James, William and Mary were crowned John monarchs.

  249. They were crowned under a Bill of Rights known as the.

  250. William H Settlement. And I want to point out this

  251. morning that's one of the most important documents in the whole

  252. history of the Western world. Do you know that that document

  253. is central to our freedom, our laws, our way of life?

  254. Do you know that that document became the basis for the

  255. Constitution? Or latest states of.

  256. America, do you know this morning that's why King Charles

  257. can't arrest any of us and Putin's in jail?

  258. You see, the King King Charge is not above the law.

  259. King charge is not an absolute monarch.

  260. I've told you this before, he's a constitutional monarch.

  261. Why? Because of the Williamite

  262. settlement. William and Mary were

  263. constitutional markets. Monarch.

  264. The king lives to serve the people, not be.

  265. Served by the people. And did you know that as far

  266. back as 16? 90 There were special Sabbath.

  267. Days to remember the battle of the boy.

  268. To thank God. For the William H Settlement.

  269. Even in the other times at John. Wesley's day, Charles having

  270. Spurgeon's day. They they.

  271. Marked. The William H Settlement.

  272. On the 5th of November, and they thank God for the arrival of

  273. William and Mary. To the shores of England because

  274. that William H settlement give us the freedom to worship.

  275. That's why we have freedom to worship today.

  276. That that's why you didn't fear coming through the gate, that

  277. you're going to be arrested, hauled off to jail, the freedom

  278. of the press. The freedom of the judiciary

  279. from governmental interference. Let's remember our freedom's not

  280. free a price. Had to be paid for that freedom.

  281. And of course that price was the.

  282. Shedding of blood. And while that's true in the

  283. battlefields of human history, if we come to Calvary, think of

  284. the Lord Jesus to whom the sun? Sets free as free indeed.

  285. On what basis does he set as free?

  286. The basis is the. Shedding of us precious blood.

  287. Without the shedding of. Blood.

  288. There's no remission and recently in the history here in

  289. the United Kingdom we've saw history in making because we.

  290. Witnessed on our television. Screens.

  291. King Charles been crowned. You know that Coronation takes.

  292. US back to Bible. Times the supplications.

  293. That were offered the songs that were sing, the scriptures that

  294. were read, the symbolism that was used, all referred and dated

  295. back. To the days of David.

  296. The days of Solomon, when the people cried as he was crowing.

  297. Long live the king. We can come.

  298. Forward even further. Think of Days of Revival 1625 in

  299. Northern Ireland 1850 Nine 1920s, the 19. 50s and the 1960s

  300. when when God moved you. See if you read Second Samuel

    2 Samuel 8:3–13

  301. chapter 8 verses 3 to 13 and I urge you to do that.

  302. It ties us into the. Period it.

  303. Ties us into the place. It ties us into the purpose of

  304. when Psalm 60 was written. Now there's that strange.

  305. Language that after the. Title.

  306. If it's inspired by the Holy Ghost, and I believe it is,

  307. isn't it strange language that David uttered?

  308. Oh God, that was cast us off. Thou has scattered us, thou has

  309. been displeased. Or turn thyself to us.

  310. Again, you see, David is foreseeing and facing up to the

  311. reality of coming change. He knows it's not always going

  312. to be like this. He knows there's a time we'll

  313. come when we will face changes and challenges, when things will

  314. be difficult, when things will be despairing.

  315. Now I wonder this morning, is that true?

  316. Of you, you see, David realised. I not always enjoyed the

  317. presence. Of God I not always know the

  318. power of God. I know always enjoy the God's

  319. protection or God's. Provision.

  320. You see, there's a. Strange language to.

  321. Us. But it's very sensible.

  322. David is facing up to the reality of change now.

  323. Now think with me. How is it for Ulster today, in

  324. the 21st century? Where's the Times of?

  325. Reformation Now I would go as far as saying we need a second

  326. reformation in Ulster. A reformation of rediscovering

  327. the word of God and its authority and power

  328. rediscovering of the gospel. Where are the days of revival?

  329. 16251850 nine 1920s Where's people flocking again to the

  330. House of God in the day of God to hear the word of God?

  331. Where's the. Recognition and the rejoicing.

  332. For the William X. Settlement, as I've talked

  333. about, that brought in a constitutional monarchy and gave

  334. us our freedom and laws. Where's the fear of God now?

  335. In northern. Ireland, See, see, Abraham

  336. prayed. I perceive that the fear of God

  337. is not in this. Place.

  338. And I'm sorry, but you only have to go up, Sandy.

  339. Row and. Into the Shankill.

  340. Or or or going to wrath cool or up to the.

  341. Branul. And you'll discover the fear of.

  342. God is not in this place. There's no dread.

  343. Of God there's No Fear of God is not the beginning of wisdom.

  344. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, knowledge

  345. of the holy. Is understanding.

  346. Where's the? Sense of loyalty and.

  347. Commitment to the banner of the cross, to the personal work of

  348. the Lord Jesus is the C word, not a missing word in the

  349. vocabulary of many. Where's Where's the spiritual

  350. love for the Lord? As I said last week in a sermon,

  351. the the the the love of God is like the little girl who says

  352. that she loves broccoli but not enough to eat it.

  353. And many pay lip service to God and the things of God.

  354. Where's the passion? For the souls of man is he David

  355. foresaw a day of change. A day when they would be

  356. scattered. A day when God would cast them.

  357. Off people not united, people divided.

  358. He even said in some 60 verse 3 Thou has showed thy people hard

  359. things that was made us to drink the wane of astonishment.

  360. It is not that the. Story of the.

  361. True Church and earth, Days of the right hand of God.

  362. Days. And it seems that the hand of

  363. the Lord is against us. Days of rejoicing, but now days

  364. of. Ridicule and rejection.

  365. See, we can look back to the past, even our recent past.

  366. 1951, when the free pristine church started, the 60s and the

  367. 70s. God seemed to be at work and

  368. Ulster New churches were being formed.

  369. Multishoot of souls have been saved.

  370. People were flocking to the House of God.

  371. They they, they, they were practical rafters.

  372. I remember Tommy Gilmer telling the story of what happened in

  373. Porta Vogue. How that the late Doctor Paisley

  374. preached and souls received, and then he went to the manse for

  375. tea and there was other souls came and knocked in the door,

  376. and then when he was about to leave there was a knock at the

  377. door again. And said there was.

  378. Hundreds of people at the Port of Oakley car park that weren't

  379. meant to have a service that they but wanted to have a

  380. service and something over that weekend 38 souls.

  381. Came to faith in Christ. And we could add Ballymena and

  382. what happened down there? We could add Tandrugee and what

  383. happened there. We could go to the warm country

  384. and what happened down there. But times are.

  385. Not like at night. There's a day of coldness.

  386. The day of. Dearth has come.

  387. We're at a low point. Why?

  388. Because there's No Fear of God. There's no thought of God or

  389. regard of God. And we only have to look into

  390. our own so-called nominal Protestant loyalist communities.

  391. There's a love for self. There's a love for money and

  392. possessions. There's a love for booze and

  393. drug addiction. There's a real lack of God.

  394. There's a rejection of God. There's been a forsaking of God.

  395. There's been a forgetting of God.

  396. And that's why you've got someone when.

  397. GB News was on the television as a live coverage at the 12th,

  398. someone actually swearing on television demarling Foster

  399. having to apologize. That that's why you've got

  400. people. Burning averages of living

  401. people in bonfires. And it's wrong and it's sinful.

  402. Why? Because you've No Fear of God,

  403. that's why you've got these people running about drunk.

  404. Because there's No Fear of God. There's a lack of God's

  405. presence. Power, protection, provision,

  406. and we need the Lord. And the Sam was recognised.

  407. Yes, I'm bachelin and I'm cold and I I need to turn to the

  408. Lord, but I need the Lord to turn himself to me.

  409. And that's what he's praying. He's foreseeing the reality of

  410. common change very quickly. He's focusing on the.

  411. Reason for this coming change look.

  412. At look at Sam 60 verse one. It says thou hast been

  413. displeased. See that we're displeased.

  414. It's used 24 references in the Bible.

  415. What displeases God. Let me just suggest very

  416. quickly. The sin of murmuring displeases

  417. God. And when the people complained,

  418. it displeased the Lord, and the Lord heard it, and his anger was

  419. kindled, and the fire of the Lord burned among them and

  420. consumed them. That we're in the uttermost part

  421. of the camp. You've got to think of the

  422. children of Israel coming out of Egypt.

  423. You'd think they'd rejoice. They'd been redeemed by the

  424. Precious Blood. Moses was their leader as a man

  425. of God. They come out into.

  426. The wilderness. And they complained and.

  427. Murmured. They had nothing.

  428. To complain about. Their murmuring was rooted in

  429. their covetousness. It was rooted.

  430. In their loss for what they had in Egypt.

  431. It was. It was rooted in their

  432. ingratitude. And remember in First

    1 Corinthians 10 chapter mention

  433. Corinthians chapter 10 and verse 10 that says neither murmur ye.

  434. This was Paul's advice to the Corinthians as.

  435. Some of them also. Murmured and were.

  436. Destroyed of the Destroyer. And all these things happened

  437. unto them for examples, and they're written for our

  438. admonition, upon whom the ends of the world had come, the sin

  439. of murmuring against God, questioning his wisdom, his

  440. love, his power, his goodness, his doings, forgetting that God

  441. is absolutely sovereign. Forgetting that God is Creator

  442. and Maker, Forgetting that God is in charge, forgetting that

  443. we're dependent and accountable to Him.

  444. This is what Daniel 435 says. And all the inhabitants of the

  445. earth are reputed as nothing. And He doth according to his

  446. will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the

  447. earth, and none can stay his hand or say unto him, what dost

  448. thy the sin of memory. He's focusing on the reason for

  449. this coming change. The sin of murmuring has come

  450. in. What about the sin of?

  451. Immorality over there and Samuel and Second Samuel in in Chapter

  452. 11. We read this in the verse 27,

  453. Second Samuel Chapter 11, verse 27.

    2 Samuel 11:27

  454. Let's hear the word of God once again and when the morning was

  455. passed. David sent and fetched her to

  456. his house, and she became his wife and bare a son.

  457. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.

  458. Do you see that? Here's the sin of immorality.

  459. David and Barceba. Breaking the Law of God.

  460. Adultery, Cover Up and lies, Murder, drunkenness.

  461. A lot of gross sins are violating and breaking God's

  462. law. Could add the little sins as

  463. well, whatever. David did it.

  464. Displeased the Lord. And you'd think of the

  465. immorality in Northern Ireland at this moment in time.

  466. Gross sins, little sins. Remember whenever Aiken came to

  467. Jericho, the very first study that the children of Israel were

  468. to conquer all the soldiers were told.

  469. All that's in here belongs to the Lord.

  470. Don't take anything. What did he take?

  471. The Babylonious garment. 200 seconds of silver, a wedge of

  472. gold. And they were defeated when they

  473. come to the second city at a I. Why?

  474. Because there was a hiding of sin and the Lord saw it.

  475. And the Lord sees the sin that goes on in Northern Ireland at

  476. this minute. I want to tell you something

  477. else. He's just pleased because of the

  478. sin of pride over there and First chronicles.

    1 Chronicles 21 chapter mention

  479. Chapter 21 and verse seven. We read these words and God was

  480. displeased with this thing wherever he smote Israel.

  481. What was this thing? It was David's sin of pride and

  482. numbering the people. There was a failure at that time

  483. to follow what God had commanded.

  484. The devil was at the back of it. Look at first Chronicles,

    1 Chronicles 21 chapter mention

  485. chapter 21, verse one. It mentions the devil.

  486. It was the devil that motivated and moved David.

  487. Was the seat of pride in his heart.

  488. How many soldiers do we have in the army go and number them Joe

  489. from down to perceive a number them all.

  490. Joe knew it was wrong. Joe didn't even count them all.

  491. He left out leave. I left out Benjamin.

  492. You know when he got the leave And Benjamin?

  493. They told him clear off. They're not going to number us

  494. now. We want none to do with it.

  495. Why? Because there's a trespass here.

  496. What about the half shackle of redemption for every soldier in

  497. the land? If you're going to count them

  498. all, clack the half shackle of redemption and they refused to

  499. do it. You see, the Lord was

  500. displeased. Here's the perception.

  501. David had a. Failure to deal with the sin of

  502. parade. And is there not a spiritual

  503. perception today that there's many things in Ulster displeased

  504. the Lord? Let me tell you one other thing.

  505. Look at Mark. March, chapter 10, verse 14.

  506. It says. But when Jesus saw it, he was

  507. much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children

  508. to come unto me, and forbid them not for of such as the Kingdom

  509. of God. Much displeased because the

  510. disciples didn't want the little children to be brought to the

  511. Lord Jesus, he said, Suffer the little children to come unto me

  512. for such as the Kingdom of God. Here's their treatment of the

  513. children. We don't want them to be near

  514. Christ. And how many parents don't want

  515. their children to come to Sunday school or our children's

  516. meetings? And I want to tell you that

  517. children are suffering. What about the evil of abortion?

  518. It's the murder of the unborn. We need to be more vocal.

  519. What about this evil of RSE? Relationship, sexualised

  520. education. And I want to tell you, it's

  521. horrendous what the UN have proposed, and it's horrendous of

  522. what our Secretary of State has introduced already through an

  523. act of parliament into Northern Ireland and it's coming here in

  524. September. What about the evil of

  525. drunkenness and drug abuse? What about the evil of cursing?

  526. What about? Men being lovers of themselves,

  527. lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.

  528. I love for money and possessions and possession, but not loving

  529. God, living and rejection of him, living without him, not

  530. knowing him, not worshipping him.

  531. I want to tell you there's a call for repentance, there's a

  532. call to put sin away, and I'm calling on the loyalist people.

  533. I'm calling on the nominal Protestants in these areas to

  534. repent of their sin and get right with God.

  535. I'm calling on them to turn to the House of God on the day of

  536. God. I'm calling on the preachers in

  537. the pulpit to stop preaching woke nonsense and start

  538. preaching the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, the Son

  539. of. God, we need to get back to the

  540. Bible. We need to get back.

  541. To the worship and the way and the will of God.

  542. For us as creatures. In his presence.

  543. Because what's the first thing that man should learn?

  544. Man's chief end as to what is to glorify God and enjoy him

  545. forever. Glorify God and enjoy him

  546. forever. That is the chief.

  547. End of man. And that's a message that we

  548. need to fundamentally get across to our people at this time.

  549. Here's the reason David faced up.

  550. To the reason for the coming change, God is displaced.

  551. And why are things are? The way they are in Northern

  552. Ireland, could it not be that God is displeased?

  553. The sin of murmuring, the sin of immorality, the sin of pride,

  554. the sin of the. Treatment of the children.

  555. One final thing, the following the remedy for coming change.

  556. What did David do? He prayed.

  557. It's a prayer. Includes praise to God,

  558. remission of sin, asking for things yielding one's heart,

  559. being earnest and effectual, receiving in the ground of

  560. redemption. You see, if you notice this

  561. word, turn thyself to us again. Think of the word.

  562. Again, God has done it in the past and we Northern Ireland God

  563. sent 3 revivals 162518591920 and our prayer should be.

  564. Lord, visit us again and. Not not just revive us, but turn

  565. thyself to us, come into the midst of us, and I bring about

  566. the fear of thee. Because we've only one to help,

  567. and that's the Lord I want to. Tell you our help.

  568. Was not in man or in schemes our help?

  569. Was not in churches. It's not in politics.

  570. It's not in history. It's not in.

  571. Education. Do I believe in education?

  572. Or people ought to. Be educated.

  573. It's certainly. Not in archaeology, I.

  574. Have to get back to God. Start with him.

  575. Because he's the only one who can help us.

  576. If you want help and. Trouble.

  577. Then you've got to go to the Lord.

  578. Isn't this what he prayed in? Psalm 60 verse 11?

    Psalms 60:11

  579. Give us help from trouble. Do you pray that prayer?

  580. Give us help from trouble. For vien is the help of mom.

  581. The word vien means anti. And God will help us from

  582. trouble, not only in it, but from trouble.

  583. Because the Samus was done to say through God we shall do

  584. violently. For he it is that she'll tread

  585. down our enemies. And the biggest enemy we have is

  586. the enemy of sin. We've got to face up to that

  587. enemy first. Let's recognize that among our

  588. people today there's the sin of murmuring pride.

  589. The morality and sin of badly treating the children.

  590. Let's start there. If God is displeased with these

  591. sins. Then let's repent of them, and

  592. let's cry unto him. Give us help from trouble.

  593. Things need to change. Things need to.

  594. Improve. The late I didn't know used to

  595. say to me. Where can I go but to the Lord?

  596. And where can Ulster go? Ulster.

  597. Can only go to the Lord and it's up there.

  598. Has people, has random. People those those faithful?

  599. Ones whom God has has spoken to and dealt with to cry unto him.

  600. End prayer. Who turn thyself to us again.

  601. And if you want to pray a prayer to help Northern Ireland, then

  602. you start with that prayer this morning.
