Mission 25 - From a Throne to Hell

All right, he's left a watch for me.

But anyway, I, I left a watch at home and he's leaving for me.

So that was very good. But I already had asked somebody

so that'll keep me eye on the clock.

So that's a good sign. So lovely to see you all here

tonight. And we pray the Lord that bless

our time together as we've come. We really enjoyed our sister.

We've always enjoyed Rebecca. She goes right on our missions

with us and she sings to the Lord.

And what a lovely one that is, isn't it?

The last one, how Christ is our great high priest and you know,

in heaven he prays for us. So thank you very much for

coming again tonight. Now we want to look Acts as

chapter 5, the book of Exodus chapter 5.

Exodus 5 · chapter mention

Read a few verses and then I'm going to go over to another one.

So book of Exodus and the chapter 5 just to begin, just to

get into the message tonight. And we have Acts as chapter 5

and verse one, Exodus 5 and verse one.

I really have here Moses coming before Pharaoh.

And it says in Acts 5 verse one. And afterward Moses and Iron

went in. And told Pharaoh Thus saith the

Lord God of Israel, Let my people.

Go, that they may hold a face on to me in the wilderness.

And Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey his

voice, so that is will go. I know not the Lord, neither

will I Letters will go and then. We want to go.

Right over to chapter. 14 and we want.

To look at chapter 14, there's a few verses to get the end of the

story here. Acts as chapter 14 and verse 26.

Remember now Pharaoh and his men had followed Moses to the Red

Sea and the people after their deliverance from Egypt.

And it says in Acts as 14, verse 26.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the

sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon

their charlies, and upon their horsemen.

And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea

returned to his strath, when the morning appeared, and the

Egyptians fled against it and the Lord.

Overthrew the. Egyptians in the midst of the

sea, and the waters were turned and covered the charliots and

the horsemen, and all the. Hosts of furrow that.

Came into the sea after them there remained not so much as

one of them. Amen.

And May God bless the read of His word to all of our hearts.

I want to look at furrow. Tonight.

Really. From a throne.

To hell. That's where we follow him.

We started off here, really where he was in, in the 1st

chapter here, Exodus Chapter 5, he's upon a throne.

But when we come to chapter 14, he's down in the depths of the

sea. Well, he's even.

Lord or not, he's lost his soul in hell.

So. Let's look to the.

Lord and pray for his help to my Father in heaven, we thank you

for the privilege of being here and Lord, our sisters singing so

well to us, and Lord, the congregational singing as well.

And we come to your word. We pray for help.

We pray, Lord, that you will help us around the word of God,

that the Lord just speak to hearts.

There may be some here, all converted.

Bring them to yourself. There may be some and they're

listening in at home on the Internet.

I pray your day with their heart.

We know in gospel campaigns that Jesus is passing this way.

He's almighty, loving and a great savour and save the Lords

that I give help in the ministry of the Word in Jesus name, Amen.

As we come here to Acts of Chapter 5 of the book of Acts,

we see the commencement. Of a great battle.

For all and Moses the man of God.

God had sent Moses to deliver this under of Israel, who had

been in Egypt. For 430 years.

And God says to Pharaoh, you go into Pharaoh and bring iron with

you, and tell Pharaoh, let my people go.

Well, you could imagine that Moses got into this man, no

doubt, because God has said, Come thy therefore, and I will

send thee unto Pharaoh, going in to see him.

Pharaoh, remember, this was a great man.

Politically, he was king. He ruled over and owned all the

land of Egypt. The whole nation belonged to

him. This political power no doubt

came down from the other Pharaoh because Joseph was there and

because Joseph and all that Joseph did in that land, they

became a great nation and Pharaoh was a great man

politically. He owned the whole land

financially. Janice is 47, talked about the

feral having the money the. Cattle, the horses, the asses.

A great man of wealth and no doubt this feral was a great man

of wealth. He was a great man, military as

well because he had a strong nation.

And one of the strongest nations.

At that particular time, if not the strongest at all.

So we had many soldiers. We've read here in the Word of

God shortly about the charity. It's about his soldiers.

So he was a great man, even military, but sparsely,

sparsely. Furlow was a wicked man and

Furlow sinned greatly against the Lord.

We're going to look at his life. We've looked here at the

beginning and we've looked at the end of his life.

We've looked at if I've indicated he's on a throne, the

throne of Egypt. He's a man of power.

He's ruling over all things. But we come to Chapter 14, the

whole picture. The whole picture has.

Changed and he's down in the depths of the sea.

Hold on a minute. Tonight he's down in the depths

of hell and that can change the whole picture in a moment.

And that's what happened to this man.

Pharaoh, and I want to say there's a few lessons from his

life. Here tonight.

And I want to say first of all about Pharaoh's defiance because

he defied the character of God, because when Moses went in and

to speak to this man sitting upon the throne, remember this

Moses was not going in and his own name, not a bit of it, He

was not going in with the name of Ireland.

He was going in here with God's name.

He was going in. To speak to this man in the

name. Of the Lord.

That's what he said in verse one.

Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, let my people go.

Do you hear Moses? He's speaking plainly and he's

speaking boldly to this man and the Lord God of heaven.

He says let my people go. Well, you look at Pharaoh's

attitude, he heard of the greatest.

One the Lord God of heaven, and he says, Who was the Lord, that

I should obey his voice. So that is will go I know not

the Lord. Notice what he said.

Neither will I, that is, will go.

Who was the Lord? He says, Do you not know why I'm

king? Do you not know that I'm an

authority? Do you not know that I'm?

The one in power. He says I will not let Israel.

Go. He defied the character of God

name Moses. Moses could have told them who

the Lord was. Do you want to know who the Lord

is? He's the creator of the heavens

on the earth because in Genesis 2 verse 4, it says that these

Genesis 2:4

are the generations of the heavens on the earth when they

were created in the day that the Lord God made the heaven earth

and the heavens. He's the creator.

He's the one who's made the whole world.

He could have told them he's a great king because over and

over. In the Bible it tells us for

instance. Psalm 47.

Verse 2 for the Lord Most High is terrible.

He's a great king. Over all the earth, he could

have told them. He's a great king.

He could have told them he's an almighty God because I remember

in Genesis 17 verse one and Abram was 90 years old and 9 the

Lord appeared to Abraham saying all to him, I am the almighty

God. And Moses could have told them.

He could have told Pharaoh who the Lord was.

But Pharaoh wasn't interested. He says, Who is the Lord?

I shall obey him. I know not the Lord.

I'm not even really worried about him.

And he defied the character of the Lord, and he defied the

command. Of the Lord, because the command

of the Lord was very plain here to this man.

Let my people go, that they may hold their face onto me in the

wilderness. Let my people free, Let them go.

This was plain preaching. Speaking from Moses, God wanted

his people out there. Out of the wilderness, out.

To worship him now. He said a number of times at

him. Chapter 7.

Verse 16. Again.

And I should say unto him, The Lord God of the Hebrews has sent

me on that. He's saying, Let my people go,

that they must serve me in the wilderness.

Behold, thy wood is not here. Chapter 8, verse one.

And the Lord speak on the Moses, go unto Pharaoh, and say unto

him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go.

Now the command was very clear. What did God want with this

feral? What did he want them to do with

the people? He says let my people go, but

then they served me. But Feral says they're going.

Nowhere, they're going nowhere. And you can see in this chapter,

he shouted immediately. He shouted immediately to do the

opposite. In chapter verse 6 here he says

to the people he commanded the taskmasters to lay more burden

upon the people, to gather their own straw.

They're going nowhere, he says. They're idle.

They're going nowhere. And he would not let the people

go. In fact, he says in verse 9.

Though but the words. The words were feigned.

That means a non. Truth, a lie and a sham this is.

What he's saying about God, he's divine.

The masters, he's divine. The master, he's divine.

Here Moses coming and saying here God says let my people go,

and he says they're going nowhere.

He refused and he defied. God to his face, He would not

let them go. Well, I want to say the day.

There are many people like it. Like Pharaoh, they defy God.

They defy. The matches of the Gospel.

And they defy even the character for the Lord and who is the

Lord? And I want to say this tonight,

there are people in this town have carried off.

There are people all throughout this province tonight and they

even deny God. What I mean by that there's no

God. How many people said are we

province hard to believe full of unbelief today?

Many will argue, many will come against you.

There's no. God, I don't believe in God and

remember the Bible says in Psalm 14 verse one, the fool has said

in his heart no God, no God and there are people and carried

off. Maybe there's some listening in

tonight, maybe there's some here in this meeting tonight and your

defying God. Your defying God to his face, as

a fellow did. He's defying God to his face.

He's sitting upon his. Throne hold.

On a minute tonight on Converted Person, you're sitting upon

your. Throne.

There are people tonight sitting upon their own little throne, a

little God they've made themselves.

They feel they are in power, they are in authority, and they

will not listen to God. Remember we already said he's

Lord of Lords, he's King of kings, he's a great God and a

great saviour, yet people defile.

They defile who was the Lord, that I should obey him.

There's nobody going to tell me what I should do.

I thought you tonight in this meeting.

Your defying God character. People reject his commandments.

We do know. Of God the more law is for all

men. Found in the 10.

Commandments you can read in actually 20 God brings the law

of God how we are to live in this world.

I shalt have no other gods before me and not to make graven

images and not to take the name for Lord thy God in vain and

remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

And then the other commandments given as well.

And God has given U.S. law. Here's how we are to live in

this world. And if you're all converted in

this meeting tonight. This is how you are to live in

this world. To bear the law of God.

But the Sinner doesn't do it. Nobody does it.

He. Doesn't bear God's law.

I came across an article on the Internet and you can buy a

T-shirt. I don't hope nobody has.

One of these at. Home and it says, I don't care

what the Bible says. That's what it said on the front

of it. And you can buy that.

No doubt there's mad people going around the world and

they're warning it. I don't care what the Bible

says. They're defying God.

They're defying God to his face and they're stood against him.

I thought, come on, just to, to turn from her sin and to repent

and believe the gospel and to trust his, his Son as our

Saviour. But people, what do they do?

They're sin against God and they're sin against him time and

time again. And even even they take his

message, his gospel, his words. As vain his word isn't they as a

lie. And people do.

Argue against the Bible, you. See it all the.

Time if you follow. Any argument debates which I do

sometimes just to pick up things so you can find them there in

speakers corners. People, the Bible corrupt and

that's what they're looking to say.

It's corrupted. The Bible is corrupted.

I want to tell you tonight, the Bible is not corrupted.

Man's corrupted. You're corrupted if you're

attacking the word of the living God tonight.

You're just like Pharaoh the Bible.

Is a vain. It's untrue.

I came across another T-shirt. Someone says you can buy this

and a. Photo of the Bible.

On it and what? Was written was these.

Words lies my father told me. It's written on audit.

So you have AT shirt with a Bible and then lies.

My father told me somebody's been brought up in a Christian

home and the father and the mother's been teaching them the

way of salvation and to come to Jesus Christ.

And they get up and they turn away from it with all of her

heart and they say us all lies and I don't believe it and

there's all true. That's the attitude.

Of Pharaoh. That's the attitude of Pharaoh.

Define God. Define.

He's not going to boss me. Nobody's going to tell me how.

I'm going to live my life. You don't see them praying in

our streets. Nobody's going to tell us how to

live. I want to tell you this.

God has told us, God has told us in his Word.

And will we feel we sin and you sin.

I remember. All of sinned, all of us have

broken this law. We have sinned against God time

and time again. The Bible says that what I'm

saying to others, some others, some people tonight and you're

listening in and you're in your sin and you're still rebelling

against God and you're saying like Luke 19 verse 14 with a

Luke 19:14

citizen saying we will not have this man to reign over us.

We don't. Want him?

Don't want Christ? Is that due tonight in the

meeting? Define God not listening.

Not obeying, not repenting, not trusting.

Christ tonight, that's Pharaoh. That's a pharaoh's do.

Are you on your? Throne tonight.

You think they're not going to be knocked off this throne and

no one's going to push me around?

I want to tell you tonight. We are to obey the word of a

living God and not to do it. Sin against God.

Pharaoh's defiance against God. I want to look.

At that only defiance of. Pharaoh, but I want to look at.

The deals, the deals. Of Pharaoh because when you

follow his life and after plague.

After plague fell upon. Pharaoh and upon the land he

tried to do different. Deals with Moses.

And and and rather. Than obeying the claim.

Command of the Lord. Now I want.

To say in axis. In in the chapter 8 and verse 25

there was a deal. Concerning separation, I

remember. This Moses was going on, and

Moses had been told very plainly, Get out of this land,

get out of it. But his referrals said to him in

chapter 8 verse 25. And for called from Moses.

And for an iron? And said, go ye sacrifice to

your. God notice in the land now just

go into the land, stay in the land and in verse 2028 only you

shall not. Go very far.

Away notice in the. Early years separation, just

stay just you stay in the land and don't be going far away.

Moses perhaps just go a few fields away.

But here's the area of separation.

Don't be going. Don't be going too far away.

He tried to do a deal here with Moses.

There are many people today that try to do a deal.

They try to think this. I don't really have to go too

far into religion. I don't have to.

Separate myself too. In other words, I just have to

say a few prayers. I had to attend a church,

perhaps. I try a few good works.

I try to keep myself clean just to assert me.

I've only got to do a little thing I want to say tonight.

If your religion costs you nothing, it's worth nothing.

To be saved, if you go all the way with Christ, come right out.

Most of the people had to come right out of that land.

They had to come right out of here to make with God and to

sacrifice. To God and if you ever going to

be saved then you have to leave your sentence.

It may have been leaving your family and your friends.

They will not come with you when you tell them I think about by

coming to Christ and I want to be saved.

I laugh them off and if you're ever going to be saved, you're

going to have to come out. You had to leave all to come to.

Jesus Christ, there's no half measures, but come to Christ,

remember he said, and Luke 13 verse 5, I tell you, But except

Luke 13:5

you repent, you shall all likewise perish right out of it.

Right out of the world. I want to say that to you, if

you want to be safe, right out of the world, right out from

sin, the pubs, the clubs and everything are gone.

Everything is gone. You're coming to Christ, you're

trusting Him. It's the whole thing or nothing.

To be saved, this is how we're saved.

We had to leave it all. But Pharaoh said just stay.

The devil says to people, just stay away.

But you. Don't have to go.

Too far into this at all. Clean your life up away but and

go to church away but and choose a few habits and you'll be all

right. I want to tell you tonight.

You'll not be all right. You have to go out, had to

separate, had to repent. Remember Peter said to Christ in

Matthew Mark 10 verse 28. Peter said on him, Lord, we have

Mark 10:28

left all and followed thee. Pharaoh tried to do a deal.

Just just just do a wee bit. Are you trying to do a deal?

Just do a wee bit. I just changed a few habits.

You had to go all the way to be saved.

And he tried to do a deal, not. Only concerning separation.

But concerning the sacrifice because when you go to chapter

10 verse 24 and these again Moses.

Have been dealing with him in the.

Past and he says. To him, actually. 10 verse 24 Go

ye serve the Lord. Notice what he says.

Only let your flocks and your herds be stead and let their lip

look ones also go with you, but don't just hear what he.

Says go and serve the Lord, but hold on a minute.

You know what he says to Moses? Don't be taking.

Any sacrifices with you? Don't be taking any animals.

You can take your children with you this time, but don't take

anything. You go to meet with God, but

notice this go to meet with God. Without the blood, you hear the

Hester Satan here, you can go and meet with God.

Be no call for the blood and there's no call for sacrifices.

That's ridiculous. How has God reached?

Has he always been worshipped? It's it's been through the blood

when Noah built an an altar on the Lord Genesis 8 verse 20 and

Genesis 8:20

took of every clean base and every clean vowel and he offered

borned offerings on the altar. Do you see him?

Do you see Noah? He's just out of the flood.

He's out of the ark and the and the sacrifices are being made

unto God. He's coming to God.

Notice this. He's coming to God.

He's coming to. God through the blood He do.

There's no other way of coming to the Lord, but Pharaoh says

don't be taking any sacrifices. You don't have to do this.

Moses knew that. He said to him in chapter 8, We

will go three days into the journey and sacrifice to the

Lord our God as He had commanded us, and we're going to go and

sacrifice. Don't be taken any sacrifices.

There's no need of the blood. That's what Cain thought.

He tried to get to God through the blood, trying to do deals.

I want. To tell you here tonight, you'll

never get to heaven, never be saved without the blood of Jesus

Christ. Don't.

Care what you have. What ladders you have?

After your name, what? Intelligence, what you can do or

say, you'll never get to heaven, and you'll never receive without

the blood. Remember it says in Hebrews and

Chapter 9 verse 22. And almost all things.

Are by the. Law purged with blood.

Notice this. And without shedding of blood,

there's no remission. And notice this, there's no

remission, there's no salvation, there's no forgiveness if you

haven't got the blood of Jesus Christ.

There's no hope, and Pharaoh says.

We'll do a deal, Moses. Go ahead, Go ahead.

But no blood. All people want a bloodless

religion today. Don't like singing about the

blood though, like the preaching of the blood.

But I'm glad tonight we can say in this pulpit.

There's power in the blood. Of the Lamb, the blood of Jesus

Christ cleanses us, and also you need the blood of Jesus Christ

to cleanse you. You need the blood of the Lord.

Jesus Christ to take. Away your sin.

He died upon the cross. One sacrifice for sin forever.

And his blood cleanses us, and he saves us.

If there's no blood, if there's no sacrifice, I want you to see

tonight, there's no. Salvation.

There's no salvation all. Around us there are people and

they're trying to get to. God without the blood.

Without the blood, the Jewish religion to this day, even the

dead. No saviour in Jesus Christ

Islam, no blood. But I'm glad the message of the

gospel. Christ died for our sins

according to the Scriptures, and there's blood can cleanse you

from all your sins. And if you want heaven, if you

want mercy, you want everlasting life.

You must come to God through the blood of the Lamb.

You must I. Have to say that tonight,

there's no other way. And Pharaoh's trying to do deals

about separation, about the sacrifice.

Moses stand on his. Ground, of course, he.

Knows, he knows. And you've got to stand your

ground. I want you to stand on the

ground of the scriptures of truth.

Search the scriptures and say what are these things we say

from this pulpit are true that as Christ alone can save you,

you must repent to be saved. You must trust Jesus Christ with

all ever heart to be saved. He's as.

The teacher of the Bible, but the devil tells people to do

deals. Just slack off a wee bit.

You don't need the blood. Don't need.

This sea of terminology I want to tell you tonight that's how

feral was acting you don't want to be like feral.

We need the blood. Would you be free from your

burden of sin? There's.

Power in the blood. There's.

Power in the blood. And Christ can save you tonight.

So this is the deals He's. Trying to make tonight just a

couple of them. This is man who defied God, now

he's trying to make deals to soften it up a wee bit.

We cannot soften the message of the Bible up.

We cannot soften the matters of the gospel.

Repent and believe the gospel and come to Jesus Christ with

all your heart, and he will save you.

That's the message. That saves Jesus only, and

you're in trouble tonight of losing your soul, dying without

Christ. You need to calm down.

You need to trust Christ tonight with all your heart.

And so we. Have the deals.

Here of Pharaoh and then I want to let I.

Know this last thing quickly, because time's going on tonight

about the death. Of Pharaoh, because all known to

him as as life was soon about to end after the last.

Plague, which was. The blood of a lamb and he lost

his first born, we find. We find him setting out setting

out to follow the children of Israel and Farrell didn't know

that day when he when he got into his chart 8 and chapter. 14

that he was. Heading out to die.

He didn't know it. When he got into that charity

that day, I think for instance in chapter 14 and the verse 6

and he made rally. His chariot.

And he took his people with him. Do you see him?

Do you see Farrell getting into his chariot, all the soldiers

and tells about 600 chosen Charlie?

It's all going with him and there he is.

He didn't know. Listen, he didn't know he was

getting into his Charlie for the last time.

He didn't know he was heading to die.

He didn't know this. And you can follow that man as

he fled. He didn't know where he's going.

But you can see in chapter 14, verse 26, the Lord said unto

Moses, Remember, he parted the sea, the children were going

through, and the Egyptians went in to follow him.

And the Lord said unto Moses. Stretch out down our hand over

the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians,

upon their Chariots, and upon their horsemen.

And Moses He stretched out his hand over the sea and affairs.

Here the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the

sea. Do you see furrow this man who

was on the throne? Do you see him now?

He's down in the very depths of the waves of the sea.

Hold on a minute tonight. His father, his soul was down

into hell tonight. He defied God.

He sinned against God, attacking gods and his people.

Here he is. He's dying.

And it was sovereign. And it was.

Sick. They didn't know he was going to

die this day, and it was Swift in a moment.

At the moment he was taken away. I'm going to.

Warn you tonight all converted in the meeting.

The same God that took Faro? Away will take you.

Away someday. We're.

Not here to stay. We're going.

I want to say that I'm going too.

Hebrews 9:27

Chapter 9, verse 27 and as it is.

Appointed unto men wants to die, but.

After this to Joseph, we're going to die.

It's appointed. Help me here tonight in this.

Meeting I want you to be honest tonight in this meeting with me.

With your own heart, do you know when that appointment is?

Do you know what it is? Well, that appointment.

With your death, do you know when you're going to die?

We don't know. They can be very sudden.

They can be very close. You know, I have seen people die

very quickly. I remember going to visit a

woman one time. She wasn't too well.

Now that matter in hospital. And she told me this, she says.

I've been given a. Year to live, that's what you

said. To me, a.

Year to live. She was dead by the end of the

week. She didn't know it.

In a week she was dead. That's how quickly death can

come and take you away. I want to say to you tonight.

Are you ready? Then are.

You prepared to meet God. Are you prepared to die?

Because this man, the conclusion of his death, he lost his

possession. He lost his possession, he lost

everything. He lost his soul, and death will

take you away. Everything you have and your

soul's gone into eternity. Where will you be in eternity,

heaven or hell? It all depends what you've done

with Christ as He your Saviour. If you turn to him tonight with

all your heart, then when we die, the apostle Paul said to be

with Christ, which is far better.

But if, if you die without him, if you die in your sins, the

Lord Jesus said, where I am, you cannot come, you cannot come,

you must be saved. This is not time to seek the

Lord. How quickly the picture changes.

We have looked at this man on the throne, mighty military,

politically, financially, now become the Chapter 14.

He's down in the very depths of the sea.

He's down the death of a lost eternity.

He's lost. The How you'll end your life.

Would you die without Christ, or would you trust Him?

Would you come tonight? This is what we've come to

preach, the gospel of Christ, a mighty, loving, great Saviour

who can save the very uttermost. He can save you tonight.

Would you come and trust him? Come just the way you are and

ask him to be your Saviour and he will save you.

And his blood would cleanse you, and he'd give you everlasting

life. This is a good message.

Of the. Gospel, He can save you tonight.

If God has spoken to any heart, want to speak with me?

You want to speak with call, speak with us.

Don't go home without Christ tonight.

Don't go home without him. He's calling, He's waiting.

Come to Him. We love to talk with you.

If you need us, speak to us. But I pray with all my heart

tonight you will come and trust Him.

Or you're taken away in a moment and you're lost.

Remember Pharaoh, the man on the throne who found himself in

hell? That's a great fall.

That's a great fall. So will your fall.

Be as well if you die without Christ, but come to death, fall

into His arms and He will save you.

May God write His Word about our hearts today.
