  1. Well, we. That was a blessing, wasn't it?

  2. Was the place. Wish I could sing like that, but

  3. that was a real blessing. May the Lord keep us near the

  4. cross. And if you're all converted

  5. tonight, well, I want to tell you that's the place we want to

  6. get you to, for that's the place you need.

  7. You need to come and put your faith and trust in the Lord

  8. Jesus Christ. We're singing earlier on at the

  9. start of the meeting. I believe Jesus saves and his

  10. blood was just waiter on the snow.

  11. And if you're all converted, well, that's the place that you

  12. need to come to and you need to come to the Lord Jesus Christ.

  13. So thank you very much for coming along tonight to support

  14. us here. This is actually my last night

  15. in the mission because I have other engagements on Sunday away

  16. in Oma. And so Carl will be coming along

  17. to to bring an end to the mission.

  18. So I really enjoyed it here. We're bringing no doubt.

  19. Thanks for everybody. Thank you very much, Mr Mcglock

  20. and decision of having us here at this particular time and all

  21. your support as well. And it's really encouraging for

  22. the preachers when people come along and to hear the preaching

  23. of the gospel. Now we're going to turn in

  24. John's Gospel Chapter 6 and I going to put this week speaker

  25. on me. John's Gospel is well known to

  26. all. Of us.

  27. And the chapter 6, we'll just take time to read our verse.

  28. Time is going on, which it will be bit tonight, but so John's

  29. Gospel. Chapter 6.

  30. Wonderful words. Of the Lord Jesus Christ here in

  31. verse 37 and he says. All that the Father giveth me

  32. shall come to me. And him that cometh to me I

  33. will. And no wise cast out.

  34. We have here the assurance of God's unfailing welcome, because

  35. the Lord. Jesus, said him that cometh unto

  36. me, I will. And no wise I will no wise cast

  37. out. So let's look to the Lord for

  38. his help here tonight. Father in heaven, we thank you

  39. for the blessing of being here already.

  40. We thank you for our sister's ministry and song.

  41. We thank you Lord, even in Psalm tonight we have been to the

  42. cross. Jesus, keep me near the cross.

  43. Keep this congregation near the cross.

  44. And if there's anyone here tonight and.

  45. Are far away. From the cross of Christ, if

  46. never come to Thee, we pray tonight they will come and put

  47. their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus.

  48. I need your help. I pray for help around the word

  49. of God and bless the word of God tonight Lord, I pray to the

  50. salvation of souls in Jesus name, Amen.

  51. Amen. I'm sure.

  52. You have a favourite verse of the Bible.

  53. I'm not going to ask you put your.

  54. Hand up and ask you for that verse.

  55. I'm not going to. Ask you tonight to to shout it

  56. out. What are tremendous verses in

  57. the Bible and they are favourite verses of people?

  58. This particular. Verse in John 6.

  59. Verse 37 was. A favourite verse of a man that

  60. you've heard of a pastor, John Bunyan.

  61. Now he was born in November 1620.

  62. Eight in a little. Village of Batford, like many

  63. parents of his day, they were in poverty.

  64. But I don't know how they did it.

  65. But he said himself, it pleased God to put it into their hearts

  66. to put me to school, to learn me both to read and write.

  67. So the parents said, hold on, we're in poverty.

  68. We've got to make sure. We've got to make sure that he

  69. learns to read and write. Well, my children were growing

  70. up. They were like myself, some of

  71. the boys that weren't interested in school.

  72. I should tell you what, boys. Learn to read and write and

  73. count. OK, you see that other stuff?

  74. Don't worry. Anything about it you learn how

  75. to read, to write and to count. And so John Bunyan, off the

  76. school he went. But he tells us, even as a

  77. young. Fella, there were.

  78. Very few people his equal for cursing and swearing and lying

  79. and blaspheming the holy name of God.

  80. Even as a young person you do not, I said tonight, you do not

  81. have to be old to sin. Even as a young fellow, there's

  82. hardly anyone, he says, his equal.

  83. As he lied and blasphemed. And swore.

  84. And he cursed God. Well, for all of that.

  85. God dealt with him, and this man became.

  86. Greatly troubled about his sin, and he had terrible thoughts.

  87. He had terrible thoughts about hell and he had terrible

  88. thoughts about the fire of hell. Some people say, oh, don't

  89. mention hell, don't preach hell. Read the Bible.

  90. You'll read about the Lord Jesus Christ.

  91. He was a hell fire preacher. Well, this young man growing up,

  92. now he's getting older, he came under great conviction of sin

  93. and he'll hold on a man in the sight of a holy God.

  94. I know where I'm going to. I'm going to go to hell.

  95. And he was worried. He was really troubled.

  96. Is there anybody tonight in the meeting troubled?

  97. Is there 1 troubled in this meeting?

  98. We sing at Hymns Centre How thy heart is troubled.

  99. Shall I want? That I hope there is hope.

  100. There's more. He was troubled, of course.

  101. He gets married and all of these things and he's going about life

  102. and he's playing games and it's recorded as he was playing the

  103. game and it was called cat, whatever that.

  104. Entailed. I'm not really.

  105. Sure. And as he was playing this game,

  106. a voice that suddenly endured from having into my soul was

  107. said, Wilt thy leave thy sins and go to heaven, or have thy

  108. sins and go to hell? It's just as if a voice came

  109. down from heaven. What are you going to do, John?

  110. Bunyan, are you going? To leave your sins and you'll go

  111. to heaven. Are you going?

  112. To keep your sins, have your sins and go to hell.

  113. Well, if he was. Troubled beforehand things.

  114. Are worse he even. Looked in the animals, he says.

  115. He looked in the animals and he even envied the animals because

  116. they were not troubled. They're right in the feet of the

  117. cows and all the rest were eating their grass and going

  118. about. They didn't seem to have a cure

  119. in the world. And he was a burden and.

  120. He was a troubled man. How can I be saved?

  121. How can I get rid of this burden?

  122. How can I get right with God? These things were pressing in on

  123. his heart and they were pressing in his life and and so he was in

  124. Batford and he came across some ladies and this particular verse

  125. came to him one day and him the cometh all to me.

  126. I will in no wise cast out. And he says, Ohh, what did I see

  127. in that blessed 6th of John? O the comfort that I had from

  128. this word, Him that cometh unto me, I will in no wise cast out.

  129. Here's what I've got to do. He says Here's the only thing

  130. I've got to do. I've got to come to Jesus, am I

  131. right? I've got to come to Jesus,

  132. filthy, dirty, guilty. I've got to come to him.

  133. And if I come to him, he and that kills me out that

  134. wonderful. I want to tell you he came and

  135. the Lord took him in. And if you come tonight in this

  136. meeting for coming to the end of the mission, saying the mission

  137. for myself. But if you come tonight in this

  138. meeting to Christ, they take you.

  139. They take you. I want to say three things.

  140. I want to be quick tonight, but I want to think about the step

  141. that's needed for salvation. And this step is necessary.

  142. I want you to see here, here is a step that is necessary for if

  143. anyone, if anyone wants to be saved and wants to be forgiven,

  144. you must take a step and you must come to Jesus, him that

  145. cometh unto me. It is of the utmost importance

  146. for the Sinner to come to Christ, and the emphasis here,

  147. the emphasis here is me. That's what the Lord.

  148. Jesus said you must come to me. It's not that you would.

  149. Come to anyone else. Anyone to church to font to

  150. Mary? Muhammad to Buddha.

  151. But he says to me. And that's very, very important

  152. because here's his because the only Saviour is the Lord Jesus

  153. Christ. Remember in first John 4 verse

    1 John 4:14

  154. 14, we have said, as John has said, and we do testify, he's

  155. making a testimony that the Father sent the Son.

  156. Notice to be the saviour of the world, not one of the saviours,

  157. but he is the saviour of the world.

  158. And Peter said in Acts 4 and verse 12, neither is there

  159. salvation any other, for there's no other name under heaven given

  160. among men whereby we must be saved.

  161. And he's preaching urge to religious people.

  162. But listen, there's no other name, there's no other Saviour.

  163. And here the Lord Jesus Christ tells us in John 6, You've got

  164. to take a step and come to me. He must come.

  165. To me, one particular man, Robert Brown, says God.

  166. Never saves A spectator. He's no good looking at Christ.

  167. It's no good listening as any things are important, listening

  168. to the gospel. No doubt about this tonight.

  169. That's why we have the mission and the preaching of the gospel.

  170. But it's no good just sitting listening.

  171. If you want to be saved, you must come to Jesus Christ.

  172. This step is necessary. Think about the.

  173. Necessary if you. Send the simplicity.

  174. Of a step as. Well, because we find here that

  175. here something. You can understand.

  176. You come to Jesus. I like it when I meet.

  177. People in the doors and they're said to me, I'm trying this and

  178. I'm trying not to. I'm doing these wee things and I

  179. listen, all you've got to do, cut out all the middle men, cut

  180. them out. And I'm talking here really

  181. about Roman Catholics. When I meet them.

  182. Cut out all the middle men, go straight to the Lord Jesus.

  183. Christ, that's. Just implicit the gospel, and

  184. you've got to come to him and come freely to him.

  185. And you read that verse yourself.

  186. You read it unsaved person here tonight in this meeting, him

  187. that cometh unto me, I asked you the question, Do you see in this

  188. verse anything that you've got? To bring to Christ, do you see?

  189. Anything. Is he asking you to bring money?

  190. Is he asking you to bring your works?

  191. Is he asking you to bring deeds? Is he asking you to bring

  192. anything to him? No, You come.

  193. Freely to Christ you just come, though, remember, says in

  194. desire. 55 verse one. Whoever you wonder thirsteth,

  195. come ye to the waters. And he and he hath no money.

  196. What he's put in his hands, in his pocket, he has no money.

  197. Come ye buy and eat. Ye come, buy wine and milk,

  198. without money, without praise. Here's the wonderful truth of

  199. the gospel of the Bible. Salvation's free.

  200. It's free gift. Jesus come to Christ and to come

  201. freely and there's people trying to bring this and they're trying

  202. to bring that to base off. I said to you tonight they're

  203. all converted in this meeting. You can give nothing.

  204. You can give nothing for this salvation.

  205. It's free. Jesus pet it all upon the cross,

  206. that's. Why he was saying about him

  207. nothing in my hands they bring, but simply to the crossing like

  208. that, nothing. He just called.

  209. That's what he says. It's him that.

  210. Cometh unto me He's coming freely, and coming by faith,

  211. because we think. Here.

  212. That we come by. Faith we we cannot see the.

  213. Lord Jesus Christ, we know that, of course.

  214. He's in heaven. He came, he bled and died.

  215. Suffered on the cross? He's sitting at the right.

  216. Hand of the throne of God, he said, we know.

  217. How do I come? How do I come to the Lord Jesus

  218. Christ? I know how to come to this

  219. church. I know I drive up the road, I

  220. come through the gates, come through the door into the pure

  221. and all of it. But how?

  222. How can I come to the Lord Jesus Christ?

  223. You come to him. By faith, come to him.

  224. By faith, he's God, He's listening, He's calling, he's.

  225. Calling you to come to him. Come by faith.

  226. Turn to him, Turn to him and come to the Lord Jesus.

  227. See his Spurgeon says. We come to his blood to be

  228. washed, to his righteousness to be cleansed, to his wounds to be

  229. healed, to his life for a life eternal, and to His death for

  230. the death of our sins. We come.

  231. We come to Christ. We come faithfully to Christ.

  232. And if you ever want to us see it, you come by.

  233. Faith to Jesus, just turn, come to pray to him, and you come

  234. forsaken. Because the very word, the Lord

  235. Jesus. Here speaks come to him means.

  236. That there's got to be separation, there's got to be a

  237. change. And I want to mean by this to

  238. come to Jesus Christ the Sinner. Must leave her sins.

  239. I would never preach. I'll uncertainly call and most

  240. of my life would never preach. Just stay in your sin and just

  241. start going to church and just amend a few things.

  242. In your life, that is not the gospel, that's not the message

  243. of salvation, the Lord Jesus himself said, and Luke 13 verse

    Luke 13:5

  244. 5, I say, tell you nay, but except you repent, you shall all

  245. likewise perish. And the cry of the gospel, it

  246. says repent. Oh, you said to me tonight.

  247. Well, what does repent? Mean it means you.

  248. Turn right around. You're going this way in your

  249. life. You're going after sin, loving

  250. sin, running after sin. And then you turn right around,

  251. you have turned your back on it, and you've come to Jesus Christ

  252. right around. This is what?

  253. Repentance means. And I want to tell you tonight,

  254. this is what it means to come. To Jesus Christ.

  255. He must leave, must forsake your sin, and you must leave your

  256. sin, whatever that may be, if that is holding you back

  257. tonight. This is the world, the things of

  258. the world, the pleasures of the world, the drink of the world,

  259. the immorality of the world, the drugs of the world.

  260. Heaven that cometh unto me, you must leave your sin.

  261. Are you willing to do that? Are you willing to leave your

  262. unsafe company of friends? Are you willing to leave that

  263. corruption is in your life? If you want to be saved, he must

  264. calm down. He must leave these.

  265. Places the pubs, the downsalls, the House of Iniquity.

  266. Member says aside. 55 Verse 7 Let the wicked forsake his way.

  267. On the righteous man his. Thoughts and let him turn on the

  268. Lord. He will have mercy on him and to

  269. our God, for he will have been the important Let the wicked

  270. forsake his ways to get away from the world and get away from

  271. sin and come. To Jesus Christ, so you've got

  272. to come, you must leave. There must be the forsaken of

  273. sin, the practise of sin and their life.

  274. Martin Lloyd Jones says Christianity starts with

  275. repentance. So we've got to repent.

  276. People believe in our self righteousness.

  277. In other words what I mean by that.

  278. Just got a wee drink here. They must leave every false

  279. hope. That they're clinging to, to

  280. save them. There are people.

  281. Holding on what we tell you tonight.

  282. The rotten planks they're clinging on, hoping that'll keep

  283. me afloat. Maybe something in their?

  284. Church and maybe something they're doing in the community.

  285. I I'm not against you trying to help me.

  286. Now none of us would ever get up and preach against people who's

  287. trying to help you. But if you're trying to do deeds

  288. and you're trying to do works, they float you the whole way to

  289. heaven. Of course we will preach against

  290. that because the Bible says it. It says.

  291. Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the

  292. law. And you can just.

  293. Underline those two words that I've done here in my notes.

  294. It's not all right if I let go of that plank of works, deeds,

  295. church, whatever it is not. Save you forsaking all I take

  296. them. It's Christ and Christ alone as

  297. saves and you must let go of every false hope that they're

  298. holding on to and you must cling to Jesus Christ and you come to

  299. him and he saves. This is what it means to come to

  300. Jesus Christ just. The way you are.

  301. That's the way you come though. All your sin come to Jesus

  302. Christ. That's what John Bunyan did one

  303. day. This tax came with power into

  304. his heart. Him that cometh unto me I will a

  305. no wise cast out. And dear.

  306. Friends, he came. To Jesus Christ, that's how he

  307. came. That's a step you must take.

  308. I'm not asked you to get up tonight and walk up to this

  309. church and get down, but if you want.

  310. To you're more than welcome some of the wise he can have it shot

  311. with you, but if you want to be safe.

  312. You've got to come. You've got to come to Jesus

  313. Christ. We're not asking you to come to

  314. a church. You're welcome here any time at

  315. all, but no doubt about that, and I'm sure you're felt.

  316. Really. Welcome, and the hospitality and

  317. everything in here has been tremendous over the last couple

  318. of weeks, but for you to perceive, you must come to

  319. Jesus. You must him not cometh unto me.

  320. Would you come to Jesus Christ tonight?

  321. You've heard the Gospel, maybe for years.

  322. And. You're selling your sin.

  323. Here's a step they must take. They must take.

  324. Come to Jesus. Come to them.

  325. Then I. Want to think about the scope of

  326. salvation? And it says all.

  327. The Father giveth me, so come to me.

  328. And there's theological lessons here, but those who's given to

  329. Christ, we know that. Of course.

  330. Well, when John Bunny was asked the question and they asked him

  331. the question, what him is he referring to?

  332. Well, he answered very well. You know how he answered that

  333. question. It's him the cometh.

  334. That's how you answer. That's a good.

  335. Way of getting out of it, isn't it theological doctrine and so

  336. on. What him is it talking about?

  337. It's him that cometh and that's the difference in us.

  338. There are people and carried off and they won't come and that's

  339. maybe you tonight in this meeting.

  340. You will not come to Christ. Christ says they will not come

  341. to me, that they might have life, but it's Him that cometh.

  342. That's that's. What we're talking about.

  343. I do glad it's him. The ladies right here, by the

  344. way, don't don't think the ladies are not unless they are

  345. of course, in this text as. Well, let me.

  346. Just say a number of things very quickly here because time's

  347. going on tonight. The Sinner can come despite his

  348. race, doesn't matter where he's from.

  349. Africa Indian race Chinese the white man black.

  350. Man, it doesn't matter I've had the opportunity and and some

  351. brother here beside. Me as well have been in

  352. different countries preaching Jesus Christ.

  353. It's been wonderful to stand in the Philippines, to stand in

  354. Kenya, to stand in the Uganda, Australia, It's this game, it's

  355. in the Commonwealth, it's in the Commonwealth.

  356. There's nobody. I didn't say just only people

  357. from Ulster can come and they can come.

  358. And the people over the border, they can come to Christ.

  359. Doesn't matter who it is tonight, it's him that cometh

  360. unto me. And you read the Bible.

  361. In Revelation Chapter 7. And verse 9 And John said, And

    Revelation 7 chapter mention

  362. after this I beheld, although a great multitude, which no man

  363. could number notice. Of all nations and kindreds and

  364. people and tongues stood before the throne, there's a whole what

  365. they say, only 144,000's going to heaven.

  366. But we're not going down that route.

  367. Tonight you turn into revelation. 7 verse 9.

    Revelation 7:9

  368. There's a great multitude which no man could number.

  369. There were before the throne. They were in heaven of all

  370. nations. All the people, the jungles

  371. came, there were people all over the world came, Different

  372. people, different cultures, different conversations, but

  373. they came to Jesus Christ, you see?

  374. And you can come. And you can come, friends,

  375. tonight it's in the cometh. The senator can come.

  376. Despite their rebellion and sentence, it's in the cometh.

  377. There's no limit. Put in these words.

  378. I I want to tell you tonight the violence offender can come.

  379. Sometimes we're arson outreach work.

  380. I'll ask you a question. Can the murderer be saved?

  381. Some people ask that. Question I I say yes they can.

  382. Oh boy, some people doesn't really like that.

  383. I said, well you ask me the question, Teaching of the Bible,

  384. the blood. Of Jesus Christ, His Son

  385. cleanses us from all sin. And the murder canvasser of

  386. Manasseh, Second Kings 21, verse 16.

    2 Kings 21:16

  387. Moreover, Manasseh shed in us some blood very much till he had

  388. filled Jerusalem from one end to another.

  389. Beside his sinners, so one. But he filled the streets of

  390. Jerusalem with blood. Second Chronicles 33.

  391. He's in prison. He's on to conviction.

  392. He lifts his voice. He cries for mercy and.

  393. God hurt him, God save them. The mortar can come the hardest

  394. can come. The faith can come the dire.

  395. Faith, he'd lived this whole life, this whole life without

  396. Christ. He had won foot me until he say

  397. in the grave, he's about to die, he's about to be cast down into

  398. hell and he looked at Jesus Christ and he says, Lord,

  399. Remember Me when I come as into thy Kingdom.

  400. And the Lord Jesus said, verily I say unto thee, today thou

  401. shall be with me in paradise. He lived the whole life without.

  402. Jesus Christ, but when he came to Jesus Christ, the Lord

  403. saithan, maybe there's people here tonight and you and you're
