  1. Well, thank you very much for that. It would be great if you have that passage open in front of you.

  2. As has already been mentioned, my name is Alistair. The privilege of being the assistant here at Brunsfield

  3. and the privilege of taking us through this wonderful passage of Scripture.

  4. And this morning we come to a topic that runs deep in every single human heart.

  5. But I wonder if you can guess what it is by listening to these three quotes that I'm just about to put on the screen.

  6. So the first one is,

  7. My greatest pain in life is that I will never be able to see myself perform live.

  8. The second quote,

  9. I am so credible, so influential and so relevant that I will change things.

  10. Or the last quote,

  11. I feel like I'm too busy writing history to read it.

  12. Now what do all of those quotes have in common?

  13. Shout out a few answers.

  14. Pride. There you go. No more answers. That's it.

  15. That is exactly what we come to this morning.

  16. Pride.

  17. Now I doubt any of us are going to say these kinds of things about ourselves.

  18. But we all, to different degrees, suffer with the issue of pride, don't we?

  19. We like the thrill of being recognized.

  20. We like to be seen, to be acknowledged, applauded and praised.

  21. We might wear a particular brand of clothing to stand out in the crowd.

  22. We might buy the flashiest car or the biggest house so that people notice us.

  23. And these are the material outworkings of pride, but it runs much deeper than that, doesn't it?

  24. We might be annoyed if someone gets the credit for the work that we do.

  25. Because we wanted the attention.

  26. Or maybe it's in a prayer point that we share at small group or in the prayer meeting

  27. that focuses more on our apparent holiness than the work of God.

  28. Or maybe it's thinking that we don't need God's help.

  29. And we only go to Him once we've exhausted our own resources and energy.

  30. All of these different things are different appearances of the same issue.

  31. Pride.

  32. It's the idea that the whole world revolves around you,

  33. that you are the most important person in the world.

  34. And the root of it all is that the natural state of every single human heart is full of pride.

  35. Because we naturally say, no God, I don't want you.

  36. I want to be you.

  37. That's what we're going to see this morning as we turn to Genesis chapter 11.

    Genesis 11 chapter mention

  38. The pride of man.

  39. And we're going to see the downward spiral of humanity.

  40. And the depths of depravity that we're capable of reaching.

  41. But most importantly, we're going to see that despite human failings,

  42. despite our rebellion, despite humanity proudly walking away from God

  43. and deviating more and more from His plan,

  44. despite all of that, and despite God having every reason to,

  45. He does not cast us off.

  46. But He shows us amazing faithfulness.

  47. An abundant grace to a sinful world.

  48. So the first thing that we see in this passage is the pride of man.

  49. Verses 1 to 9, the pride of man.

  50. Now we get our first indication that things are not going well in verse 2.

  51. Look with me.

  52. It says,

  53. As people moved eastward,

  54. they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.

  55. Now anytime we've heard the language of east in Genesis or people moving east,

  56. we're to understand that they are moving away from God's plan

  57. and God's good design for the world.

  58. Remember how in Genesis chapter 3, Adam and Eve, when sin entered into the world

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  59. and they rebelled against God, they were cast out of the garden to the east.

  60. And when Cain, in Genesis 4, when it says that he went out from the Lord's presence,

  61. he went east of Eden.

  62. The language of going east should draw our attention to the fact that something is not right in this picture.

  63. Something is about to go horribly wrong.

  64. And we see exactly what that is in verses 3 and 4.

  65. Read with me.

  66. They said to each other,

  67. Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.

  68. They used brick instead of stone and tar for mortar.

  69. Then they said,

  70. Come, let us build ourselves a city with a tower that reaches to the heavens

  71. so that we may make a name for ourselves.

  72. Otherwise we'll be scattered over the face of the earth.

  73. Now this is the prime example of the pride of man.

  74. They are disobeying God's commands to go out into the world and fill it by congregating in one place

  75. and they're trying to make a name for themselves.

  76. Do you see similar language that we've seen before in verse 3?

  77. Humanity is saying,

  78. Come, let us make.

  79. People are using their God-given ability

  80. and gift of being creative.

  81. But they're not using it for good.

  82. This is the same language, isn't it, that we heard in Genesis chapter 1.

    Genesis 1 chapter mention

  83. As God says,

  84. Come, let us make man in our image.

  85. And here we see those image bearers of God.

  86. We see a corrupt, broken, sinful humanity using their identity

  87. and God-given gift to create for evil and sin.

  88. And do you see that repetition in verse 4?

  89. How five times in that very short verse,

  90. the people's attention is always on themselves.

  91. They are the center of their own universe.

  92. In their pride, they're puffing themselves up,

  93. gladly bearing their sin on their chest for everyone to see,

  94. parading it to show how great they are.

  95. They want to be noticed.

  96. They want to stand out.

  97. They want to make a name for themselves.

  98. And when people make a name for themselves,

  99. it means that they've stopped making God's name great.

  100. They've turned from God

  101. and are focusing on themselves.

  102. Now, I doubt that any of us are going to go away this morning

  103. and build a tower or a city from our pride

  104. so that people can see how great we are.

  105. But isn't it just as easy to build a social media empire

  106. where we strive to have thousands of friends on Facebook

  107. or the most likes on Twitter and Instagram we possibly can?

  108. We create this perfect life on the surface.

  109. But is that really the case

  110. or are we just building our own tower?

  111. What about when we came into church this morning?

  112. How many of us were honest and open

  113. when we were asked, how are you?

  114. It's so easy to put on a mask,

  115. to pretend that we're okay

  116. and we have it all together even though we don't.

  117. That's pride.

  118. That's us focusing more on how others view us

  119. than how we're really doing

  120. and being open and honest with our brothers and sisters.

  121. Friends, this same spirit of Babel,

  122. this same pride lives in each and every one of us.

  123. We all want some form of recognition.

  124. We all want to be seen, to be liked.

  125. We live in a world where sin is paraded around

  126. and celebrated as something good.

  127. But the reality is that we live in a world

  128. that is seeking glory instead of seeking God.

  129. By trying to make our name for ourselves,

  130. we're forgetting the one

  131. whose name should be lifted above every other name.

  132. Humanity is doing the same thing Adam and Eve did

  133. in Genesis 3, saying,

  134. no God, I don't want you.

  135. I want to be you.

  136. And so humanity, in all of its depravity,

  137. tries to reach the heights of God.

  138. They want to enter into His domain

  139. and become like Him.

  140. But as Proverbs 16, verse 18 says,

    Proverbs 16:18

  141. pride goes before destruction

  142. and a haughty spirit before a fall.

  143. All of this is motivated by pride.

  144. They want to make a name for themselves to be seen

  145. and they don't want to be scattered.

  146. But do you see the irony in verse 5?

  147. So these people are wanting to build a statement

  148. of their own fame and glory

  149. to show off their ability.

  150. But verse 5 says,

  151. The Lord came down to see the city

  152. and the tower the people were building.

  153. Even man's greatest attempts to reach God

  154. will always, always fail.

  155. Man's attempt to achieve glory,

  156. honour, praise, recognition,

  157. which belongs only to God,

  158. will always fall pitifully short.

  159. God comes down to inspect

  160. the result of human pride.

  161. And this teaches us something

  162. about God's judgment,

  163. which is just about to come,

  164. and God's judgment in general.

  165. God's judgment is never erratic.

  166. He doesn't just fly off the handle,

  167. He doesn't lose it at the people,

  168. but God's judgment is always

  169. according to truth.

  170. God sees all things,

  171. God knows all things,

  172. and He will judge accordingly.

  173. And so God says in verse 6,

  174. If as one people speaking the same language

  175. they've begun to do this,

  176. then nothing they plan

  177. will be impossible for them.

  178. Now we aren't to take this literally,

  179. and I think that we're capable

  180. of doing everything we set our minds to.

  181. This isn't the kind of message

  182. that's being pushed in schools and society

  183. that you can do and be whatever you want.

  184. But this means

  185. that the depravity of man is so far gone

  186. that nothing will stop

  187. the act of evil

  188. when left unchecked.

  189. We saw this, didn't we,

  190. in Genesis 6,

  191. how the thoughts

  192. of the hearts of mankind

  193. are described as evil

  194. all the time.

  195. And then add into that mix

  196. the whole community

  197. of sinful people

  198. whose desire is to rebel

  199. against God.

  200. The outcome is not a good one.

  201. Their pride,

  202. their rejection of God

  203. means that God must judge

  204. because he is holy

  205. and he is a just God.

  206. And so God intervenes

  207. in verses 7 to 9

  208. and in his mercy

  209. disperses the people

  210. of Babel,

  211. confuses their language

  212. and scatters them

  213. over the face

  214. of the whole earth.

  215. The people of Babel

  216. wanted significance,

  217. but they got alienation.

  218. But do you see

  219. how gracious God is

  220. in all of this?

  221. He could have delivered

  222. the final judgment

  223. because yet again

  224. in just 11 chapters

  225. the people have,

  226. humanity have rebelled

  227. against God

  228. and said,

  229. we don't want you.

  230. We want to be you.

  231. We want to be king

  232. of our lives.

  233. But God doesn't destroy them.

  234. Instead,

  235. he shows grace

  236. by dispersing them.

  237. And by dispersing them,

  238. God is doing two things.

  239. One,

  240. he is preventing

  241. any further

  242. large-scale evil acts.

  243. And two,

  244. he is fulfilling

  245. his own repeated command

  246. for humanity

  247. to multiply

  248. and fill the earth.

  249. So God is being faithful

  250. to his promises

  251. even in judgment.

  252. Now we might look

  253. at this text

  254. and think how foolish

  255. the people of Babel are.

  256. They're trying to become

  257. like God

  258. and reaching for

  259. his heights

  260. of glory and honor.

  261. But the reality is

  262. that this same spirit

  263. of Babel,

  264. that this same pride,

  265. the same ideas

  266. and desires

  267. live within

  268. every single one of us.

  269. We live in a world

  270. that's proud of sin.

  271. A world

  272. that glory's in it.

  273. We neglect

  274. to submit

  275. to the Bible

  276. because it maybe

  277. makes us feel

  278. uncomfortable

  279. or we think

  280. that it will spoil

  281. our fun.

  282. But the problem

  283. and the reality

  284. is that our

  285. continuous pride,

  286. in it,

  287. we are neglecting God.

  288. We're taking God

  289. off the throne

  290. of our hearts

  291. and putting ourselves

  292. in his place.

  293. We're rejecting him

  294. as King and Lord

  295. and running our own way,

  296. building our own idols,

  297. building our own cities,

  298. our own towers

  299. of Babel,

  300. all in defiance

  301. of God.

  302. But the wonderful news

  303. that we cling to

  304. is that despite

  305. our pride,

  306. despite our sinfulness

  307. and despite the fact

  308. that humanity

  309. is naturally deserving

  310. of judgment,

  311. God is gracious

  312. and that he is faithful

  313. to his promises.

  314. And that is the second thing

  315. that we see

  316. in this passage,

  317. is the promise

  318. of God

  319. in verses 10

  320. to 32.

  321. The promise

  322. of God.

  323. Now if you remember

  324. back to Genesis 3

    Genesis 3:15

  325. verse 15,

  326. God promised

  327. that he would send

  328. the serpent crusher,

  329. the one who would

  330. put an end

  331. to sin,

  332. who would defeat

  333. the work of Satan

  334. and who would make

  335. it possible

  336. for a sinful humanity

  337. to be made right

  338. with God.

  339. God.

  340. And as we've journeyed

  341. through this short series

  342. on the beginning

  343. of Genesis,

  344. we've seen glimmers

  345. of hope.

  346. Could this be

  347. the serpent crusher?

  348. Could this be

  349. our rescuer?

  350. But each one

  351. has failed.

  352. Each of them

  353. have proved

  354. that sin dwells

  355. in the depths

  356. of the human heart

  357. and that no one

  358. born in the cycle

  359. of man

  360. can break it.

  361. And so why do I say

  362. in these verses

  363. we see the promise

  364. of God?

  365. Well as you've probably

  366. already noticed,

  367. this is the repetition

  368. of the family line

  369. of Shem.

  370. So the list

  371. of Shem's descendants

  372. come first

  373. in Genesis chapter 10

    Genesis 10:21–31

  374. verses 21 to 31

  375. and then it's repeated

  376. here in Genesis 11

    Genesis 11:10–26

  377. verses 10 to 26.

  378. Why?

  379. Well it's the author's

  380. way of drawing

  381. our attention

  382. to this particular line.

  383. If you've ever

  384. looked at a family tree

  385. they can be

  386. often be very extensive

  387. with lines

  388. and names everywhere.

  389. So the genealogy

  390. of chapter 10

  391. is kind of like that.

  392. It's big picture stuff.

  393. All of the descendants

  394. of Noah's sons.

  395. The genealogy

  396. in chapter 11

  397. is very specific.

  398. It is all focusing

  399. in on the line

  400. of Shem

  401. and it's the author's

  402. way of telling us

  403. to keep an eye

  404. on this particular line.

  405. Something is going

  406. to happen

  407. through this family

  408. that we should

  409. be waiting for.

  410. The author is saying

  411. this is the line

  412. of the serpent crusher.

  413. And we see that

  414. as we jump into

  415. the beginning

  416. of chapter 12.

  417. We're in the land

  418. of Ur

  419. of the Chaldeans

  420. a pagan land.

  421. We're introduced

  422. to a man named

  423. Abram

  424. who would later

  425. become Abraham.

  426. A pagan man

  427. who's had no

  428. previous interactions

  429. with God

  430. and suddenly

  431. Genesis chapter 12

    Genesis 12:1

  432. verse 1

  433. the Lord said

  434. to Abram.

  435. God in his abundant

  436. grace and kindness

  437. chooses to reveal

  438. himself to Abram.

  439. He spoke to him

  440. and commanded him

  441. to leave his home

  442. and family

  443. to go to a distant

  444. land that God

  445. would show him.

  446. He wasn't given

  447. a clue where he

  448. was going.

  449. He wasn't given

  450. a postcode

  451. that he could

  452. put in his sat-nav

  453. to see how long

  454. it would take.

  455. He was just

  456. told to go.

  457. But he was given

  458. amazing promises

  459. on the way.

  460. Genesis 12

    Genesis 12:2

  461. verses 2 and 3

  462. say this

  463. I will make you

  464. into a great nation

  465. and I will bless you.

  466. I will make

  467. your name great

  468. and you will be

  469. a blessing.

  470. I will bless

  471. those who bless you

  472. and whoever curses

  473. you I will curse

  474. and all peoples

  475. on earth

  476. will be blessed

  477. through you.

  478. God is promising

  479. Abram a land

  480. a people

  481. and that he will

  482. be a blessing

  483. to the world.

  484. The pride of mankind

  485. the spirit of Babel

  486. tells us to make

  487. a name for ourselves

  488. do more

  489. work harder

  490. be better

  491. but God says

  492. don't listen to

  493. that nonsense

  494. trust in my promises

  495. trust in me

  496. I alone

  497. am the one

  498. who can make

  499. your name

  500. great

  501. and it is for

  502. my glory

  503. not yours.

  504. Do you see that

  505. contrast?

  506. God is the one

  507. who elevates people

  508. and gives them

  509. his glory

  510. any attempt

  511. to do it

  512. on our own

  513. will fail.

  514. Listen to

  515. and put your trust

  516. in the promise

  517. of God

  518. because it doesn't

  519. stop here

  520. in Genesis 11

  521. with the descendants

  522. of Shem

  523. because that whole

  524. line

  525. is just full

  526. of more people

  527. who are just

  528. as sinful

  529. and full

  530. of just

  531. as much pride

  532. but there is

  533. one descendant

  534. that this whole

  535. book is pointing

  536. towards

  537. there is one

  538. serpent crusher

  539. who dealt

  540. with the problems

  541. of the spirit

  542. of Babel

  543. and who appears

  544. on the scene

  545. thousands of years

  546. after the events

  547. mentioned in this

  548. chapter

  549. Matthew chapter

  550. one

  551. we read

  552. Jesus is a

  553. descendant

  554. of Abraham

  555. not born

  556. of a man

  557. not born

  558. into that

  559. cycle

  560. of sin

  561. and pride

  562. but he is

  563. conceived of

  564. the Holy Spirit

  565. born

  566. to a virgin

  567. he is God

  568. in the flesh

  569. come down

  570. into a broken

  571. sinful humanity

  572. and his message

  573. was not that

  574. of a personal

  575. trainer

  576. to do more

  577. to be better

  578. to make a name

  579. for ourselves

  580. or to

  581. attempt to reach

  582. some heights

  583. of glory

  584. but his message

  585. was repent

  586. and believe

  587. the good news

  588. for the kingdom

  589. of God

  590. is at hand

  591. Jesus is this

  592. promised

  593. descendant

  594. of Abraham

  595. through whom

  596. the whole world

  597. will be blessed

  598. he is the

  599. fulfillment

  600. of these promises

  601. in Genesis

  602. and he is the

  603. one who came

  604. to deal with

  605. the spirit

  606. of Babel

  607. that is alive

  608. and well

  609. in our hearts

  610. today

  611. Jesus said

  612. repent

  613. recognize

  614. your sin

  615. and rebellion

  616. against God

  617. recognize

  618. your pride

  619. that is being

  620. an obstacle

  621. for you

  622. turning to God

  623. and turn

  624. from it

  625. turn the other

  626. way

  627. and come

  628. and follow

  629. me

  630. Jesus says

  631. don't try

  632. make a name

  633. for yourself

  634. but Jesus

  635. says

  636. instead

  637. take my

  638. name

  639. and become

  640. a son

  641. and daughter

  642. of the living

  643. God

  644. Jesus teaches

  645. us to take

  646. our eyes

  647. off the spirit

  648. and tower

  649. of Babel

  650. and to focus

  651. our minds

  652. on an even

  653. greater goal

  654. on an even

  655. greater home

  656. and an even

  657. greater dwelling

  658. place

  659. in Matthew

    Matthew 5:3

  660. chapter 5

  661. verse 3

  662. Jesus says

  663. blessed are the

  664. poor in spirit

  665. for theirs

  666. is not a

  667. tower of Babel

  668. but is the

  669. kingdom

  670. of God

  671. pride

  672. the spirit

  673. of Babel

  674. says

  675. do more

  676. be better

  677. build your

  678. own tower

  679. play God

  680. Jesus

  681. says

  682. the promise

  683. of God

  684. says

  685. humble

  686. yourself

  687. that's what

  688. it means

  689. to be poor

  690. in spirit

  691. humble

  692. yourself

  693. and you

  694. will inherit

  695. far more

  696. than a

  697. failed attempt

  698. at a

  699. tower

  700. humble

  701. yourself

  702. and yours

  703. is the

  704. kingdom

  705. of God

  706. humble

  707. yourself

  708. and submit

  709. to Jesus

  710. and the

  711. promise

  712. is not

  713. a comfortable

  714. life where

  715. you're loved

  716. and recognized

  717. by everyone

  718. but you're

  719. promised

  720. eternal life

  721. with the

  722. God who

  723. made you

  724. with the

  725. God who

  726. knows

  727. you

  728. and with

  729. the God

  730. who died

  731. so you

  732. can be

  733. there

  734. friends the

  735. fulfillment of

  736. this promise

  737. of God

  738. in the book

  739. of Genesis

  740. is Jesus

  741. Christ

  742. he is the

  743. perfect example

  744. of humility

  745. as he took

  746. on flesh

  747. and became

  748. one of us

  749. living the

  750. perfect life

  751. without sin

  752. without pride

  753. that we never

  754. could

  755. dying the

  756. death that

  757. we all

  758. deserve

  759. and rising

  760. triumphant

  761. from the

  762. grave

  763. defeating

  764. sin

  765. conquering

  766. death

  767. and making

  768. the way

  769. for a

  770. proud

  771. sinful

  772. humanity

  773. like you

  774. and me

  775. to be

  776. forgiven

  777. and made

  778. right with

  779. God

  780. that is

  781. what we're

  782. here to

  783. celebrate

  784. this morning

  785. the elements

  786. on this

  787. table are

  788. not just

  789. reminders of

  790. a fairy

  791. tale

  792. they're not

  793. reminders of

  794. a good

  795. guy who

  796. died a

  797. tragic

  798. death

  799. these are

  800. elements that

  801. get to the

  802. very heart

  803. of the

  804. Christian

  805. message

  806. that each

  807. of us

  808. is sinful

  809. suffering the

  810. effects of

  811. the fallen

  812. living out

  813. a babel

  814. lifestyle in

  815. pride and

  816. rejection of

  817. God but

  818. through Jesus

  819. Christ

  820. through his

  821. broken body

  822. through his

  823. shed blood

  824. we are being

  825. taken from

  826. being children

  827. of pride

  828. and deserving

  829. of judgment

  830. to being sons

  831. and daughters

  832. of the living

  833. God

  834. who is faithful

  835. to his promises

  836. and sent his

  837. son to die

  838. if you're here

  839. this morning

  840. and you are a

  841. Christian

  842. do not be

  843. tricked

  844. do not fall

  845. back into

  846. the spirit of

  847. babel but

  848. trust fully

  849. and live out

  850. your faith in

  851. Jesus Christ

  852. in all humility

  853. live

  854. not making

  855. a name for

  856. yourself

  857. but making

  858. his name

  859. great

  860. because the

  861. reality is

  862. that if we're

  863. full of

  864. ourselves

  865. there is

  866. no more

  867. room for

  868. God

  869. our goal

  870. should be

  871. to see

  872. him glorified

  873. and to see

  874. his name

  875. lifted above

  876. every other

  877. name

  878. and if you're

  879. not a Christian

  880. this morning

  881. I want you to

  882. consider where

  883. you stand

  884. before this

  885. holy God

  886. the day is

  887. approaching

  888. when God

  889. will come

  890. down and

  891. in his

  892. final act

  893. of judgment

  894. those who've

  895. trusted in

  896. Jesus he

  897. will take

  898. to be with

  899. him in his

  900. presence forever

  901. and those

  902. who continue

  903. in their

  904. pride and

  905. rebellion he

  906. will cast

  907. off into

  908. eternal

  909. judgment

  910. please don't

  911. let pride

  912. be the thing

  913. that stops

  914. you turning

  915. to God

  916. but listen

  917. to the words

  918. of Jesus

  919. as he calls

  920. you to

  921. repent

  922. believe in

  923. and follow

  924. him

  925. would you

  926. humble

  927. yourself

  928. and see

  929. the brokenness

  930. of your

  931. own heart

  932. and humbly

  933. come before

  934. Jesus the

  935. servant king

  936. who died

  937. so that you

  938. may live

  939. this passage

  940. is summarized

  941. wonderfully by

  942. the lyrics

  943. we're just

  944. about to

  945. sing

  946. how people

  947. can go

  948. from living

  949. in their

  950. sin

  951. glorying

  952. in pride

  953. and rejecting

  954. God to

  955. being brought

  956. into his

  957. family

  958. being made

  959. right with

  960. him

  961. because of

  962. the promised

  963. one

  964. Jesus Christ

  965. and with

  966. these words

  967. I'll end

  968. I once was

  969. lost

  970. in darkest

  971. night

  972. yet thought

  973. I knew

  974. the way

  975. the sin

  976. that promised

  977. joy and

  978. life

  979. had led

  980. me to

  981. the grave

  982. I had

  983. no hope

  984. that you

  985. would own

  986. a rebel

  987. to your

  988. will

  989. and if

  990. you had

  991. not loved

  992. me first

  993. I would

  994. refuse you

  995. still

  996. hallelujah

  997. all I

  998. have is

  999. Christ

  1000. hallelujah

  1001. Jesus

  1002. is my

  1003. life

  1004. let's

  1005. pray

  1006. together

  1007. and just

  1008. in the

  1009. quietness

  1010. of our

  1011. hearts

  1012. let's

  1013. spend a

  1014. moment

  1015. reflecting

  1016. on how

  1017. we stand

  1018. before a

  1019. holy God

  1020. and give

  1021. him thanks

  1022. for what

  1023. he has

  1024. done

  1025. for us

  1026. how deep

  1027. the father's

  1028. love for

  1029. us

  1030. that he

  1031. would send

  1032. his only

  1033. son to

  1034. make a

  1035. wretch

  1036. his

  1037. treasure

  1038. father we

  1039. thank you

  1040. that you

  1041. have come

  1042. that you

  1043. have sent

  1044. your son

  1045. that you

  1046. have been

  1047. faithful to

  1048. your promise

  1049. and you

  1050. have rescued

  1051. a people

  1052. you've

  1053. brought us

  1054. and taken

  1055. us out

  1056. of pride

  1057. you've

  1058. taken us

  1059. out of

  1060. the path

  1061. that we

  1062. were on

  1063. to destruction

  1064. and you

  1065. have stopped

  1066. us from

  1067. making a

  1068. name for

  1069. ourselves

  1070. but you

  1071. have given

  1072. us an

  1073. even greater

  1074. name

  1075. that you

  1076. have given

  1077. us your

  1078. name

  1079. and that we

  1080. can now

  1081. say that we

  1082. are sons and

  1083. daughters of

  1084. the living

  1085. God

  1086. Jesus we

  1087. thank you

  1088. amen

  1089. amen

  1090. and

  1091. we

  1092. amen

  1093. amen

  1094. amen

  1095. amen
