  1. Hello, my name is Corrie and I am a member here at Brunsfield Evangelical Church.

  2. Our first reading this morning is from 1 Chronicles chapter 16 verses 28 to 36.

    1 Chronicles 16:28–36

  3. Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad. Let them say among the nations, the Lord reigns.

  4. Let the sea resound and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant and everything in them.

  5. Let the trees of the forest sing. Let them sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth.

  6. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.

  7. Cry out, save us, God our Saviour. Gather us and deliver us from the nations,

  8. that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise.

  9. Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.

  10. Hi, I'm Jonathan, also one of the members here.

  11. Our second reading is going to be from 1 Thessalonians in chapter 4.

  12. We're going to be reading verses 13 to 18 and then I'll pray for you before we hear him preach God's word.

  13. So 1 Thessalonians chapter 4, starting at 13.

    1 Thessalonians 4 chapter mention

  14. Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death,

  15. so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind who have no hope.

  16. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again,

  17. and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

  18. According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive,

  19. who are left until the coming of the Lord,

  20. will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

  21. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command,

  22. with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God,

  23. and the dead in Christ will rise first.

  24. After that, we who are still alive on our left will be caught up together with them in the clouds

  25. to meet the Lord in the air.

  26. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

  27. Therefore, encourage one another with these words.

  28. Let's pray.

  29. God and Father, we thank you that we can meet, albeit on YouTube, online.

  30. We thank you for Ian, and we thank you for the work that he's put in to speak to us this morning.

  31. And we pray that you'll give him the words to say.

  32. And as he speaks to us, we remember that it is all coming from you,

  33. and that you will soften our hearts to your word,

  34. and that everyone who is listening, no matter where they may be,

  35. or what situations they find themselves in,

  36. will be deeply affected by your word.

  37. We'll be encouraged and challenged as we listen to what Ian has to say.

  38. So bless him as he comes to speak to us.

  39. And we pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.

  40. Good morning, everyone.

  41. My name's Ian, and we're delighted to have you sharing with us in our morning service today.

  42. I've been asked to speak on a subject which is at the same time wonderful and really challenging,

  43. the second coming of the Lord Jesus.

  44. Let me begin by asking you some questions.

  45. Are you eagerly waiting for the second coming of Jesus?

  46. Do you wake up in the morning and think,

  47. this could be the day when the Lord returns?

  48. When you're talking to Christian family and friends,

  49. does your conversation naturally turn to the Lord's return,

  50. and does that bring you comfort and encouragement in your troubles?

  51. Are you motivated by the fact that Jesus is coming back

  52. to live a life of purity and seeking to please him in every way?

  53. And does it make you all the more eager to talk to those of your friends and relatives

  54. who are not Christians about the need to trust in Jesus and to be ready for his return?

  55. If you're able to answer yes to all or most of these questions,

  56. I suggest that you're in a fairly small minority of Christians today,

  57. certainly of those of my generation and younger.

  58. I can look back to when I was young,

  59. and I think there was a lot more we talked about and sang about

  60. and probably thought about the coming of the Lord Jesus.

  61. And certainly if we go back to the time when Paul was writing to the Thessalonians

  62. in the passage we're particularly looking at today,

  63. there was an excitement, an expectation of the Lord's return,

  64. which I think is lacking today.

  65. And so we might ask ourselves, why is this?

  66. Why are we not more excited about the fact that Jesus is coming back?

  67. I'd like to suggest a few reasons before we look at the passage

  68. and other passages that talk to us about the Lord's return.

  69. First reason I think why we're not more excited than we are

  70. is that it's been a long time.

  71. Over 700,000 days when people have been saying,

  72. maybe this will be the day when the Lord returns.

  73. And maybe we think after 2,000 years of the Lord not coming back,

  74. it's probably unlikely that he'll come back in my generation.

  75. But of course, that is exactly what the Lord warned against.

  76. The Lord says you need to be ready because you don't know when he'll be coming back.

  77. He told the parable about the bridesmaids who were ready for a wedding

  78. and they were all dressed up and they had lamps with oil in them.

  79. But the very groom was held up.

  80. And by the time he came back, half the bridesmaids had no oil left in their lamp

  81. and were excluded from the wedding.

  82. They thought he wasn't coming, that he wouldn't be there that day,

  83. and he came unexpectedly.

  84. And the Lord Jesus similarly will come unexpectedly.

  85. And we'll think about that in a few minutes.

  86. But we shouldn't be thinking because he hasn't come for nearly 2,000 years,

  87. he won't come in the near future.

  88. He very well could come today or in the next few days or next year or two.

  89. We just don't know.

  90. Second reason why I think people are sometimes reluctant to think and talk about the Lord's return

  91. is that there are a lot of areas of it that are subject of debate,

  92. where people disagree on the details of what will happen.

  93. The passages in the New Testament that talk about the Lord's return,

  94. some of them are among the most difficult in the Bible.

  95. The words of Jesus in Matthew 24, which we'll be looking at a bit later on,

  96. or passages in the book of Revelation,

  97. they're quite difficult to understand.

  98. And a lot of people have come up with a lot of different thoughts

  99. about how things might look on the Lord's return.

  100. Different sequences of events.

  101. And different interpretations of what is to be taken literally

  102. and what is to be seen as figurative.

  103. And in the debate, you tend to classify it as belonging to one schooler thought or another.

  104. For what it's worth, I think I would be considered a premillennial futurist.

  105. But actually, the thing I'm most confident about

  106. is that the Lord's second return will be like his first coming.

  107. That his return will be different from what anyone expected.

  108. But we'll look at it and we'll realise how it exactly fulfills prophecies about him in the scriptures

  109. and we'll marvel at the wisdom of our God.

  110. And the fact that there are some things we don't understand

  111. and that people disagree about

  112. shouldn't deter us from thinking about the Lord's return

  113. and taking comfort and strength from it.

  114. The key things, the really important things, all Bible-believing Christians agree on.

  115. The Lord Jesus will come back.

  116. He will come back physically.

  117. He will defeat completely the evil one

  118. and bring about a world which is perfect and without sin.

  119. And there will be a judgment.

  120. There will be those who are saved by the grace of God

  121. and there will be those who are lost.

  122. These are clearly stated truths from the Bible

  123. and there is no doubt about them.

  124. It is the slightly peripheral things, not trivial,

  125. but slightly peripheral things that we tend to disagree on.

  126. Then the third reason why we perhaps don't think as much as we should about the Lord's return

  127. is that we're uncomfortable with the prospect of judgment for many.

  128. As I said, that is a fundamental part of the return

  129. of the Lord Jesus.

  130. That some will be saved and some will be subject to God's judgment.

  131. And we don't like to think of that happening to those who may have been our relatives

  132. or our friends

  133. or on the face of it, perfectly decent, respectable people.

  134. But the truth is that all of us deserve God's judgment.

  135. There is none of us that deserves to be saved

  136. and to be with Jesus forever.

  137. And it's only by the grace of God that we have come to believe in him and to trust him.

  138. The Lord's judgment certainly should motivate us to go and to tell others about the need for salvation.

  139. But it's not a reason not to think about or to look forward to the return of the Lord Jesus.

  140. And then finally, and perhaps most significantly, I think most of us are just a bit too comfortable in this world.

  141. We're used to a modern world with technology and all the rest of it,

  142. and we enjoy it, most of us, and we don't want to leave it behind.

  143. And perhaps we have a picture of heaven and of going to be with Jesus

  144. that almost is taken from the first century.

  145. We see ourselves as going back from the mod cons of the 21st century

  146. and walking around in white robes in a very first century world.

  147. I have a picture that was in my mind as I was preparing this message, rather a silly one,

  148. but I think it illustrates my point.

  149. My picture was of someone who has been caught up to be with the Lord Jesus

  150. and they're reaching out and they're trying to grab their iPhone or whatever other device they had

  151. so that they can go up and they have something to do when they're up in the clouds.

  152. Yes, it's silly, but I wonder sometimes whether many of us are so comfortable in this world.

  153. We so enjoy the technology and things that are around about us

  154. that we don't realise how wonderful it will be when we go to be with the Lord.

  155. It won't be a disappointment.

  156. It will be something that is marvellous and we will look at it

  157. and we will be amazed at how good our God is.

  158. After all, our God is the one who made the whole universe

  159. and the best scientists and inventors today, they are simply thinking God's thoughts after him.

  160. He made all the things that make modern technology and modern comfort possible.

  161. And so we need to be very wary of getting too attached to the things of our day

  162. because what is to come is so much better.

  163. And we really should be rejoicing in the fact that Jesus is coming again.

  164. When we look at the scriptures, there is a real excitement in many of the passages that look forward to it.

  165. The passage we read earlier from 1 Chronicles, the immediate context of that is David's rejoicing in God

  166. as he prepares for the temple to be built under Solomon.

  167. But he is also looking forward to the day when the Lord will be seen to reign and to judge.

  168. And he says,

  169. Let the heavens rejoice.

  170. Let the earth be glad.

  171. Let them see among the nations,

  172. The Lord reigns.

  173. Let the trees of the forest sing.

  174. Let them sing for joy before the Lord.

  175. For he comes to judge the earth.

  176. The second coming of the Lord Jesus is something that should be very much in our thoughts

  177. and something that we should be looking forward to with an eager expectation,

  178. knowing that it will be so much better for us to go and to be with our Lord.

  179. So what does the Bible have to teach us about the return of the Lord Jesus?

  180. There are many different passages we have chosen to read today.

  181. The return, the second coming of the Lord Jesus is one of the things that is most talked about in the whole Bible.

  182. Someone has estimated, and I don't know how they counted,

  183. that around one in 30 verses in the Bible refer in one way or another to the return of the Lord Jesus.

  184. And we refer to quite a number of others, particularly of what the Lord Jesus had to say about it as we go along.

  185. But we've chosen to read from the passage in 1 Thessalonians,

  186. where Paul presents a very clear picture of how he sees the Lord coming back for the church.

  187. And Paul, as he writes, is addressing a question that's been put to him by the Thessalonians.

  188. The Christians in Thessalonica were quite worried because the Lord hadn't returned.

  189. It had only been a few years, but they had expected he'd come quickly.

  190. He hadn't returned and some of them had died.

  191. And they were saying, well, these people that have died,

  192. what a shame they seem to have missed out on the return of the Lord.

  193. And Paul says, by no means.

  194. In fact, it's almost the opposite.

  195. Those who have passed away believing in the Lord Jesus,

  196. they will be the first to meet with him when he returns.

  197. And he bases that on some very important theology.

  198. If you're looking at it in your Bible, it's in verse 14.

  199. Paul says, we believe that Jesus died and rose again.

  200. And so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

  201. We believe that Jesus died and rose again.

  202. That must be about the simplest statement of Christian faith that there is in the whole Bible.

  203. The death and the resurrection of Jesus are absolutely fundamental to Christian faith.

  204. He died for our sins on the cross.

  205. And as we were thinking at Easter, he then rose again on the third day.

  206. And Paul says here, as he does separately in 1 Corinthians, in a more expanded version,

  207. Paul says because Jesus rose from the dead,

  208. and we have this as a fundamental belief of our faith,

  209. we can also have confidence that those who die knowing Jesus will also be raised from the dead.

  210. And that will happen when Jesus returns.

  211. They will be the first to go and meet him.

  212. And then those of us who are still alive on earth who are Christians

  213. will be caught up also to meet him in the air.

  214. Now, there are a number of things I think we could point to

  215. that are features of the return of the Lord Jesus.

  216. And I've selected four things which all begin with the letter S,

  217. which hopefully makes them a little bit easier to understand.

  218. They're based largely on verses 16 and 17 of 1 Thessalonians 4,

  219. but also I've said on other passages.

  220. So 16 and 17 say,

  221. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command,

  222. with the voice of the archangel,

  223. and with the trumpet call of God,

  224. and the dead in Christ will rise first.

  225. After that, we who are still alive and are left

  226. will be caught up together with them in the clouds

  227. to meet the Lord in the air.

  228. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

  229. So four things about the return of the Lord Jesus.

  230. The first of these is that it will be sudden.

  231. We've already alluded to that a little bit.

  232. It's not explicitly stated in the verses in Thessalonians,

  233. but I think it's certainly implied there.

  234. The shout, the trumpet call, the Lord's voice.

  235. These are things which just suddenly happen,

  236. and then the Lord returns,

  237. and Christians are caught up to be with them.

  238. The Lord Jesus himself,

  239. in an awful lot of his teaching about his return,

  240. his emphasis was very much on the fact

  241. that it would be sudden,

  242. that it would be unexpected.

  243. So in Matthew chapter 24, he says,

    Matthew 24 chapter mention

  244. in the days before the flood,

  245. people were eating and drinking,

  246. marrying and giving in marriage,

  247. up to the day Noah entered the ark.

  248. And they knew nothing about what would happen

  249. until the flood came and took them all away.

  250. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

  251. So on Noah's day, people had no clue

  252. that judgment was about to come.

  253. It came suddenly,

  254. and Jesus says,

  255. his return will also be sudden.

  256. A few verses later,

  257. he talks about a thief coming in the night,

  258. and says that the owner of the house

  259. knew the thief was coming.

  260. Then he'd have made provision,

  261. he'd have had the police waiting outside,

  262. he'd have made sure that the thief couldn't get in.

  263. But the whole point of the thief is it's unexpected.

  264. He takes people unawares,

  265. and so is able to get away with what he steals.

  266. And Jesus says again,

  267. it will be like that.

  268. People won't be expecting me to return.

  269. My return will be sudden.

  270. And none of us knows when it will be.

  271. We don't know whether it will be tomorrow,

  272. whether it will be in the coming weeks and months,

  273. or whether it might be many years ahead.

  274. We won't know until it happens.

  275. It will be a sudden and a glorious event.

  276. And that brings me to my second thing about it.

  277. It will be spectacular.

  278. This is something that is really, really dramatic.

  279. Do you get it in the language Paul uses?

  280. The Lord will come,

  281. and for Christians that will be the most wonderful thing,

  282. to see Jesus coming back.

  283. There will be a command.

  284. There will be a trumpet call.

  285. And people will be raised up to be with him.

  286. Graves will be emptied.

  287. And people who are dead,

  288. people who have been long dead in some cases,

  289. will be resurrected to go and be with Jesus.

  290. And then those of us who know him,

  291. those of us who are Christians,

  292. who are still on the earth,

  293. alive at that point,

  294. we too will be caught up.

  295. It will be the most spectacular event in history.

  296. And it will be something that will be unprecedented

  297. compared with what's gone before.

  298. Jesus expands a little bit more on this in Matthew chapter 16.

    Matthew 16 chapter mention

  299. He says,

  300. The Son of Man is going to come

  301. in his Father's glory with his angels.

  302. So it's not just the Lord returning.

  303. It's the angels like the angelic host that there was at his birth.

  304. He will be coming back with his angels.

  305. Angels.

  306. It will be something that is really spectacular,

  307. that is really different.

  308. And then the third thing,

  309. the third S about the Lord's return is separation.

  310. It will be an event like no other

  311. that separates people into two groups.

  312. There will be those who know the Lord

  313. and have their trust in him

  314. and will go to be with him in glory.

  315. And there will be those who don't know the Lord,

  316. who don't have their trust in him

  317. and who ultimately face judgment for that.

  318. Again, in Matthew 24,

  319. the Lord pictures this.

  320. And he pictures two people

  321. doing a similar kind of thing.

  322. He pictures people perhaps walking through a field

  323. or working together.

  324. Two people together.

  325. Looking at them,

  326. you wouldn't know there was any difference between them.

  327. And yet one will be taken

  328. and the other will be left behind.

  329. I think we get that in the passage of 1 Thessalonians as well.

  330. Because Paul says,

  331. it will be the dead in Christ who rise first.

  332. It will be Christians who have died who rise first.

  333. Those who are not Christians,

  334. there will be a later resurrection to judgment.

  335. But the first to rise will be those who knew the Lord Jesus.

  336. And we, he says,

  337. we, I'm sure he means the Christians,

  338. it's not everybody in the world,

  339. it's those who know the Lord Jesus.

  340. We will be caught up to meet him in the air.

  341. And so there will be this separation at that point

  342. between those who know Christ

  343. and those who don't.

  344. And then there will be the subsequent separation

  345. of those who are declared righteous,

  346. not because of any good in them,

  347. but because they have trusted in Christ

  348. and have been forgiven through his sacrifice for them.

  349. And there will be those who haven't trusted in Christ

  350. and they will be judged for what they have done.

  351. At the beginning of 2 Thessalonians,

  352. Thessalonians chapter 1,

  353. Paul says he will punish those who do not know God

  354. and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

  355. And then a couple of verses later on that day,

  356. he comes to be glorified in his holy people

  357. and to be marvelled at among all those who have believed.

  358. There is a separation associated with the Lord's return.

  359. And that is a very solemn thing to think about.

  360. That either you are saved or you are lost.

  361. Either you know Christ or you don't.

  362. And today your trust isn't in the Lord Jesus.

  363. If you haven't believed that he died for you

  364. and that he rose again

  365. and that he can save you from your sins

  366. and from what you deserve,

  367. then I would urge you to put your trust in him

  368. and to come to know him

  369. and have that assurance of eternal life.

  370. If you are a Christian,

  371. let's be motivated by the return of the Lord Jesus

  372. and the consequences of that

  373. to reach out to others,

  374. to tell them about his love and his care for us

  375. and that the gospel is for everyone.

  376. That whoever believes in Jesus will have eternal life.

  377. The Lord's return will be a time of separation.

  378. When I was young,

  379. there was a film that was very popular

  380. called A Thief in the Night.

  381. And the theme song on that was sung

  382. by a Christian rock singer called Larry Norman.

  383. And it was called,

  384. I wish we'd all been ready.

  385. The kind of hook line inside that was,

  386. there is no time to change your mind.

  387. The sun has come

  388. and you've been left behind.

  389. Let's all of us make sure that we are ready

  390. and that we help others

  391. to know the truth of the Lord Jesus,

  392. that they too may be ready

  393. when he returns.

  394. And then the final S,

  395. the second coming of the Lord Jesus,

  396. is about our Saviour.

  397. It is above all about the return of Jesus.

  398. And that will be the most wonderful thing

  399. for those of us who are Christians,

  400. that we will see him

  401. and more than that,

  402. we will be with him forever

  403. and more than that,

  404. we will be like him.

  405. We will be changed,

  406. we will be transformed

  407. to be like Jesus.

  408. Paul in this passage,

  409. many times he talks about the Lord

  410. and what will happen

  411. when the Lord returns.

  412. The Lord himself

  413. will come down from heaven.

  414. We will meet the Lord in the air

  415. and so we will be with the Lord forever.

  416. The return of Jesus

  417. is very much associated with him.

  418. And it is him that we will look at

  419. and it is Jesus who we will focus on

  420. and Jesus who we will worship

  421. when he returns.

  422. 1 John chapter 3 verses 2 and 3.

    1 John 3:2

  423. We know that when Christ appears

  424. we shall be like him

  425. for we shall see him as he is.

  426. And then the challenge,

  427. all of us,

  428. all who have this hope in him,

  429. purify themselves

  430. just as he is pure.

  431. And then we have the wonderful scene

  432. in Revelation chapter 5.

    Revelation 5 chapter mention

  433. John gets a glimpse into heaven.

  434. And what does he see?

  435. What is the focus of heaven?

  436. It is the Lamb who is on the throne.

  437. And the message,

  438. the song that's being sung

  439. is this,

  440. to Jesus,

  441. you are worthy to take this scroll

  442. and to open its seals

  443. because you were slain

  444. and by your blood

  445. you purchased for God

  446. people from every tribe

  447. and language

  448. and people

  449. and nation.

  450. You have made them

  451. to be a kingdom and priest

  452. to serve our God

  453. and they will reign

  454. on the earth.

  455. And then there's a great chorus

  456. of the thousands

  457. and thousands of angels

  458. worthy is the Lamb

  459. who was slain

  460. to receive power

  461. and wealth

  462. and wisdom

  463. and strength

  464. and honour

  465. and glory

  466. and praise.

  467. And there's a second coming

  468. of the Lord

  469. that is the thing

  470. that will be most precious

  471. to us.

  472. That we will be

  473. with Jesus.

  474. That we will be changed

  475. to be like him

  476. and that we will be

  477. with him forever

  478. and be able to join

  479. that wonderful choir

  480. in heaven

  481. and to sing his praises

  482. and to rejoice

  483. in all that he has done

  484. for us.

  485. I don't know if you've ever thought

  486. and I sometimes have

  487. if you were asked to go

  488. on Desert Island Discs

  489. what songs would you choose

  490. to get played?

  491. Well it's not going to happen

  492. for me

  493. but I know if I were

  494. ever to be asked

  495. one of the songs

  496. that would be one

  497. of my first choices

  498. it would be

  499. Timothy Dudley Smith's hymn

  500. When the Lord

  501. in Glory Comes.

  502. The version by

  503. the All Souls

  504. Choir and Orchestra

  505. I think is particularly good

  506. and I think there are

  507. details of that

  508. on the screen just now

  509. they're also on the website

  510. and the email

  511. that went to church members

  512. today.

  513. Timothy Dudley Smith

  514. looks forward

  515. to the return

  516. of Jesus

  517. and he says

  518. some of the things

  519. that we've been saying today

  520. it will be spectacular

  521. and there will be

  522. sound of trumpets

  523. and voices shouting

  524. that there will be

  525. evidence of the glory

  526. of God

  527. and all the angels

  528. and everything else

  529. but he says

  530. what really matters

  531. is that Jesus

  532. will be there

  533. and he says

  534. his voice

  535. upon

  536. when he appears

  537. shall be music

  538. to my ears

  539. his face upon

  540. my sight

  541. shall be

  542. darkness

  543. into light

  544. and then the last

  545. verse

  546. and I finish

  547. with this

  548. he says this

  549. when the Lord

  550. to human eyes

  551. shall bestride

  552. our narrow skies

  553. not the child

  554. of humble birth

  555. not the carpenter

  556. of earth

  557. not the man

  558. by men denied

  559. not the victim

  560. crucified

  561. but the God

  562. who died to save

  563. but the victor

  564. of the grave

  565. he it is

  566. to whom I fall

  567. Jesus Christ

  568. my all

  569. in all

  570. may that be true

  571. of all of us

  572. let's pray together

  573. our father

  574. we thank you

  575. for this

  576. wonderful theme

  577. that we thought of

  578. this morning

  579. that Jesus

  580. is coming

  581. again

  582. that he is

  583. coming to take

  584. those of us

  585. who know him

  586. to be with him

  587. forever

  588. and to enjoy

  589. his presence

  590. through eternity

  591. we thank you

  592. that it will be

  593. a glorious thing

  594. when he returns

  595. and when we see him

  596. and when we become

  597. like him

  598. and we pray

  599. that those of us

  600. who know him

  601. may take that

  602. and that it may

  603. change our lives

  604. that we may really

  605. be excited

  606. by the prospect

  607. that we may

  608. encourage one another

  609. with these words

  610. as Paul

  611. exhorted

  612. the Thessalonians

  613. to do

  614. that we may seek

  615. to purify ourselves

  616. as he is pure

  617. as John exhorts us

  618. to do

  619. and that we may wish

  620. to redouble our efforts

  621. to help others

  622. to know about the Lord

  623. and the salvation

  624. that's available

  625. through him

  626. we pray for any

  627. watching this morning

  628. who don't yet know Jesus

  629. and we pray that they

  630. may come to put

  631. their trust in him

  632. and to know

  633. the salvation

  634. and the hope

  635. that he offers

  636. we pray for your help

  637. for us all

  638. during this week

  639. in this difficult time

  640. of the coronavirus crisis

  641. we pray that you will

  642. help us to keep

  643. a strong faith

  644. and confidence

  645. in the Lord

  646. that those who are

  647. lonely may be

  648. comforted by him

  649. and also by the

  650. phone calls

  651. of others

  652. that those who are

  653. struggling in other ways

  654. may be really helped

  655. and strengthened

  656. through this period

  657. we thank you

  658. that you are

  659. in control

  660. we thank you

  661. that you are

  662. the great God of heaven

  663. and that you have

  664. all things

  665. in your hands

  666. and so we commit

  667. ourselves to you

  668. and we ask for your

  669. presence and your help

  670. we give you our thanks

  671. in Jesus name

  672. Amen

  673. you

  674. you

  675. you

  676. you

  677. you

  678. you

  679. you
