The Earth is the Lords

Hallelujah. Okay, today is Mother's Day. Hallelujah. Thank you so much.

I'm not going to give you a word on mothers today. It's going

to be a word on missions. But it works, okay, So we're

gonna work it together and it's going to be fabulous. By the time we're

done here today, you're going to be glad that you came. If you're

not already, has everyone gotten a mission's magazine here in the house? Raise

your hand if you've not received one of these, and our wonderful ushers are

going to be ready to get you one if there's anyone. Now, if

you have your hand up, you have to leave your hand up because they're

coming. They're coming, So leave your hand up. You want to get

one of these missions magazines. These turned out so fabulous and what they are

is a snapshot of what we're doing here at New Horizon for missions. Keep

those hands up. They're coming, so you want to get that. You

want to take a look at that, you want to look through it.

There's some links to go to our website. Our website is redone and I'll

fill just filled with wonderful information. So if you have any questions, or

would like to know more about what we do here for a missions at New

Horizon. Go ahead and go online. And when you get your magazine,

I want you to open it up and in the middle pages you're gonna see,

or actually it's on the front, it's kind of in the middle.

There's on one side there is a magnet for you to take home and put

up on your refrigerators, so you always think of missions. And if you

put it on your refrigerator, every time you go to get a snack,

you're gonna think about missions. Double duty. Right there, and on the

backside of that is a card. It's a Pledge card. Oh you're bringing

my little buckets out, it's a Pledge card. And that pledge card we're

gonna use next week. Next week is going to be International Sunday and Pledge

cards Sunday for missions. And so next week we're gonna have tables all around

the room and there's going to be people from all sorts of different countries.

Romania's gonna be here, I know it is. You're in the house,

and there will be food all the way around the room and it'll be a

lot of wonderful, just exciting time to get to know people from other countries

and to celebrate the nations. We also have Pastor Robert Casozie here next week

to preach, so you're gonna hear from a pastor from Uganda. And then

you're also going to we're gonna do pledge cards Sunday. So what we're gonna

do is you're gonna bring your cards back. So take that card, be

thinking about it, be praying about it. How much can you give into

missions on a monthly basis and then that is how we will order our budget

and who will get missions support this next year. And we have right now

we are supporting eight missionaries on a regular basis, and our budgets about twenty

five hundred dollars somewhere around there, twenty three hundred twenty five somewhere in there.

And my goal is to raise it to almost three thousand. You can

get to three thousand a month. We started our mission's budget. You know

what our mission's budget was at first zero and then we went to two hundred,

and then we went to five hundred, and then now we are pushing

three thousand dollars a month that is going out of this house. And yes,

oh you are absolute wonderful, generous people. It's the Missions Pledge support

that keeps our missionaries on the mission field. If they didn't have that,

they wouldn't be able to eat, they wouldn't be able to put gasolier car,

they wouldn't be able to survive, and they would have to come home

and just get a job and work, right, Which isn't a bad deal

to just have a job and work because some of us are called to that,

others are called to be on the mission field, and we support them

over there with that. So take that card out, be praying over it,

be thinking about what you can do to help support missions here at New

Horizon. Amen. Then also on the back wall back there, there's a

bunch of paintings, and all of those paintings, if you want to take

one home, give a donation today. There's a black box over there on

the side. Just put a donation in that will go to missions as well.

And you can take one of our paintings that we're done during worship over

the last year. So help us go ahead and take those, take them

home, give them a little spot in your house and give to missions.

Amen. Okay, So also I wanted to bring to you. We have

a project, a missions project this year, and our project is to put

in a well. And that picture right there is a well that we put

in a couple of years ago. And as you can see these jerry cans,

this is what the kids carry back and forth to get water. And

they get their water. If they don't have a well, they get it

from the swamps. And we have a video that we want to show you

here of some children getting some water. This is the school that we are

going to put a well at. So go ahead, no other one stop

that one. Yes, it has sound, so he said, Harry,

so turning all right. So this scene this plays out every day, two

to three times a day over in Uganda, over in Africa, all over

the place. And there is a school and a church in a community here

that we are going to go ahead and put a well in. As I

said, this well right here is one that we put in a couple of

years ago. We put it right in the middle of a school compound and

in the middle of a church compound, so that the whole community comes.

Now that this school had that same type of swamp, swamps or swamps anywhere

you go right where they get their their water. Gonna show you a video

of that well in in action, So go ahead, there you go,

there it is. You have New Horizon bought that well and put that in.

Look at that beautiful clean water. Look how pretty that is, and

look at those kids. Isn't that fun? So I was able to actually

scoop water from that well and drink it straight from the tap and I didn't

get sick. So that's what you're gonna do. We're gonna do that again.

We're gonna do two of those. Now, we're gonna put another one

of those in. So we are going to right now, if the ushers

would come forward, and if you would put that slide up, there you

go, if you would be willing right now, last week we took an

offering, the first offering for this. It's going to cost twelve thousand,

five hundred dollars to put this well in, and you very generously gave eight

eighty eight hundred dollars. So yep, we are well on our way to

the well. How's that sound, huh? So if you would for me,

if you would right now, if you would be willing to open up

your wallets, open up your heart to this project. And let's finish this

off that's thirty seven hundred dollars left. That's not much at all. And

I think we're gonna go well and above that, and so if we do,

then I will have finance to potentially start another well or do some other

wonderful, wonderful projects over there. So let's just give freely and let's just

hit this mark and surpass it. Amen, So you can use that QR

code. There's envopes in front of you. We're going to take that offering

right now. So if you would prepare that for me, I would love

it. And we are going to do some shouting and hollerin next week when

I get to tell you that we made it and we're going to put another

well in. So, Father and Jesus name, thank you so much for

the generosity of these people. God, I thank you right now that we

open our hearts and our minds and our our gifts and our talents and our

finance to you. Oh Father, God, God, I think you right

now. You're gonna put in a well. You're gonna put in many wells.

We're gonna break the power of darkness and poverty off of these places.

In Jesus name. Amen, hallelujah, Thank you so much. Yeah,

go ahead and pass that. I appreciate that. Okay, So I have

some I'm just going to jump into the word because I think we need to

to get there. Are you ready to hear from the Lord? I believe

He's got something for you today, and I believe that He is in the

house today. The Holy Spirit is in the house to stretch our hearts on

our minds and to think better thoughts. Everybody say, I'm going to think

better thoughts. God says, to come up to his level. He is.

He thinks higher than His ways are higher than ours, and his thoughts

are higher than ours. And so many times we and so much of our

life kind of down here in our own thoughts and in our own ways.

And every time you come to church, I'm hoping that you're hearing the word

and God's calling you up to a higher vantage point. When you're at a

higher vantage point, you can see things better, can't you. You can

see the future better, you can see the lay of the land better,

you can see what's going on better. And that's what God does when he

brings you into the church and into the Word, and that's what we're gonna

do today. Amen. Okay, So I have a scripture for you this

morning that we're going to get started with. And so if you would turn

in your bibles, and if we look to the screen Psalm twenty four,

Verse one, the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof the world,

and they that dwell there in. I fell in love with this scripture just

over the last few weeks. It's just been rattling around and around and around

in my heart, and I've just been letting it grow inside of my soul

and becomes something. And so I hope today here this morning, that I

can give you just a little glimpse of the insides of this verse. Are

you ready? So we're gonna say this together. We're gonna say it a

couple of times because I want it inside of your noggin real good. Ready,

let's say it with me. The earth is the lords and the fullness

thereof the world, and they that dwell there in. Okay, one more

time. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof the world, and

they that dwell therein. I want that verse so stuck. I want you

know how you sometimes you go home from church and the worship song is going

round and round and round. You can't even go to sleep. That happens

to me all the time. So today instead of the worship song, well

maybe the worship song too, but today that verse is gonna go round and

round and round in your head. Amen, Okay. So the Earth is

the Lord, and all is fullness the world and all who dwell there In

this verse, if I were to pull some words out that I feel like

are the most important, would be land, land or earth fullness not emptiness,

fullness, people, people are those those the word those there are they?

That is people right, dwelling, dwell those that dwell therein Those I

feel like are the four main topics of that verse right there, and I'm

going to kind of break them apart. So the earth or land, and

the word fullness, those two go together. God is completely invested in this

earth. Did you know that He is so invested He used his strength and

power to create it in Genesis One. It is the most powerful and,

by the way, the most contested writing of all time. Fights continue even

today. Is Genesis One truth or is it not truth? I stand here

to tell you that, yes, in the beginning, God created the heavens

and the earth. Much is to be said and pulled out of even that

verse. But God is completely invested in this earth and in the concept of

the land. And if you were to look in your Bible, there are

almost fifteen hundred verses and passages that talk about land. That's a lot the

land, the land, this earth, the land. I know I'm standing

on a stage, but underneath this stage is land and God that is very

important to him. The land, the earth is very, very very important

to him. And who owns the land and the earth the Lord. If

you read that verse, the Lord, the earth is the lords and the

fullness thereof. So then if you keep reading in Genesis one, all of

a sudden, you know, there's this cool moment where God separates the skies

from the earth and the waters below. And then then the waters recede and

land emerges, This dirt emerges, and then and then another day, out

out of that dirt just comes out vegetation. Can you imagine the day that

the trees sprung up out of the ground. Can you imagine that day?

Can you imagine the day that the jungles just saying like that and just came

into being. Can you imagine the day that God said, let there be

fish in the sea, and all of a sudden, all the oceans of

the Earth just went and came alive with fish and all the different types.

And then he said, let the earth the skies be filled with birds.

And it says that the skies teemed with birds, all the different kinds and

all the different singing and everything. The earth and it's fullness thereof. And

then he said to the land, after he put the vegetation, now let

there be animals all over, And all of a sudden animals aren't and all

these amazing animals came forth. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,

all of that amazing stuff inside. They're just incredible. I want I

look around at the earth, just the earth alone. How can you not

know? There isn't a God? How can you know? So I get

the privilege of driving my little granddaughter to preschool in the morning, so Mondays

and Wednesdays, I'm driving little little Ellie in, and you know, it's

just kind of one of those things. She's not a morning girl, and

typically she gets in the car and she's a little bit grumpy. Everybody say

grumpy what do you do with a grumpy little girl. Well, at first,

I was like, honey, if you're nice, if you're good,

and I start, you know, i'll give you a chocolate milk. When

we get that. Not enough, you know, she's gonna keep her grumps.

Well, so I've figured out the way to get her out of her

grumps. We just start talking about the miracles around her. And she doesn't

know it what I'm doing. But by the time we're done, and by

the time we pull in the parking lot, she's all excited and just so

happy about what I'm talking about. So the other day I said to her,

it was the first time I thought, God help me, that's what

I thought. And I said, you know what, Ellie, do you

like dirt? And she said, no, I don't like dirt. Dirt's

dirty. I said, you are absolutely right, dirt is dirty. But

you know what dirt is, Dirt is a miracle. And I started talking

to her about what dirt is. Dirts this crumbly stuff and it's kind of

like all over the place, and you it's it's hard enough to where you

can walk on it, but it's soft enough to where you can dig it

up and then what is in this dirt. There's there's all sorts of nutrients

in this dirt, and it's so good that it feeds the plants. And

so the plants grow because there's stuff in the dirt, because they've got their

roots down in it, because it's soft and crumbly, and it feeds the

plants, and it grows the plants. And then guess who eats the plants.

The cows and the chickens and everybody else eats the plants. And then

guess what you get to eat? Cows and chickens. So at the end

of the day, you eat dirt. Totally changed her whole mindset. She

loves dirt now, right, But what else is in dirt? Minerals are

in dirt. There's coal, there's gas, there's heat, there's warmth,

there's magnetism within the dirt and in the very core of the earth. It

is a miracle. Dirt is incredible. He has so much buried inside of

even just the dirt. The potential of every step that you take on the

dirt and on rocks. It's a miracle, people, there's potential even down

inside of the very core of the dirt. You walk on let alone the

sunshine that shines down. And I totter that all the leaves are little solar

solar panels, and the leaves are like and it's taking in the energy from

the sun and it just makes it into Ah. We just talk and talk

and talk about the glory of the fullness of the earth. I want you

to see the fullness and the potential and how the earth is filled with goodness

and God owns it. He owns it, nobody else does. He does,

and he says the Genesis says that every living thing has its seed within

it. Every living thing, what a masterpiece. Every living thing has the

ability has seed within it to make more of itself. And it's DNA.

And oh my goodness, I could go all all day talking about the fullness

and the just the power and the strength of what is inside of the earth,

the fullness. Everybody say fullness, fullness of the earth. And those

who dwell, those would mean humanity and dwell. Let's let's take that word

dwell. The word dwell comes from quite a few different Greek and Hebrew words,

but they mean it means a habitation, abode, to sit down together

and be together, to dwell, that's more than just be Dwelling means being

together, being in relationship, being here another one. The one of the

words for dwell is shikan, which is where we get the words chicina glory,

which tells us that God's original intent is that we would not just be

here on earth to live, but that we would be here to dwell with

one another, and that He would be here to dwell with us. He

loves the earth because he it was his plan and desire to be here to

dwell with us. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof the world,

and those everyone who is in this earth and dwells in this earth and

is here with him, are his as well. It doesn't matter the color

of your skin, It doesn't matter how much money you have. It doesn't

matter what nation you live in. It does not matter. You are his.

You are his. You are his father. God owns it all.

And what do fathers do with all their stuff? Yes, what do fathers

do? They write up a will and inheritance. They give stuff away,

They give it stuff away, They give it as an inheritance. And if

you read through the word the word inherit through the Bible, the word inheritance

is constant. I give you this as your inheritance. So in Deuteronomy,

it talks about how God drew out the boundaries of the nations and he gave

them their inheritance of land. So he allotted different nations chunks of his beautiful

earth of land. And so one of those was Israel. Israel got its

allotment, and God promised it to him. It became the Promise Land.

And then when Israel got into the Promised Land, they took their land,

their allotment, their chunk, their spot, and they divided it up,

and each tribe got an allotment or an inheritance. And then out of that

each out of the tribes, each family was given an allotment and an inheritance.

Now, all of a sudden, it's getting real personal. Now it's

getting real personal. This is my allotment. This is my land that God,

who owns everything, was able to give to me. This is my

land. Now, this is my chunk God's in God's economy. In God's

economy, there is life. There's bounty, there's fruitfulness, there's purpose,

there's harvest, there's seed time, there's there's bringing it in the harvest there's

liberation, there's unlocking of all this potential, and there is a release of

everything. That is God's economy. God's economy is an ever growing, ever

expanding, always renewing, always coming forth new stuff, more than enough.

That is God's economy, God's and the earth is the Lord and the fullness

thereof. But we all know that sin came, Sin came in, The

enemy came in. The enemy came in, and with sin came the curse,

and with curse came oppression. Everything that the enemy does is the exact

opposite of what God does. He came into this earth, and he then

became brought along thorns and trouble and difficulty and sweat of the brow, and

all of a sudden, the Earth's fullness and its desire to burst forth with

life was put under an oppression, a heaviness. The enemy comes to do

three things to kill, steal, and destroy. And if God's economy is

more than enough, plenty, bounty, harvest, seed, time, more

and more, just that renewing, that constant just coming, if that is

his economy, then the economy of the enemy is not enough. It's lack

is shortage, and it is broken and there's we're running out. That verse

does not say the earth is the Lord's and the emptiness thereof. That first

says the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. I want to change

your mindset. God has a mindset of enough of fullness, People of God.

We are living right now in a situation in a world in society where

alls they can talk about is we're running out of this and we don't have

enough of that, and where there's we're all gonna die, and it's all

gonna blow up, and it's all this, and it's all that. I

am here to tell you that that is not the truth. When God is

released and the oppression is broken, life comes forth more than enough comes forth.

Now, God does not do his thing. He does not bring forth

all this stuff without me. He put man in the garden. He said,

go tend it, go work it, go subdue it. Come on,

I'm gonna partner with you. God's desire is to tandem with mankind here

on earth and dwell together with us, so that we would bring forth and

release and unlock the potential that God has put into the earth. That is

our job, that is us, that is so us, so our job

is to work with him. A couple of weeks ago, I got up

in the morning and I said to myself self, today's the day. So

I went out to my allotment. I know you all have allotment somewhere,

you have your own inheritance. I went out to my allotment, and I

have a box I built on my allotment, and it's full of really yummy

dirt. And I put some more yummy dirt inside of my allotment and I

started digging it. And the ground was really hard. It was hard.

I had to I had to actually get out of fork and I had to

kind of dig, and I had to break because I knew that I needed

a harvest out of that little square on allotment. So I dug it up

and I worked hard, and I broke the hardness of that soil. And

then I picked all the weeds out, all the things that were growing in

it that wasn't supposed to be, and I got it all cleaned out,

and I took a seed. What a seed. Seed is just a little

thing that I got, just one little thing, but it's what I got,

and it has the most potential in the world in a seed I take

one little seed, and I could either eat it and get a little bit

of nutrition out, but I could take that seed and I can put it

down in dirt. Did I make the dirt? I didn't make the dirt.

The dirt's gods for the earth belongs to the Lord. I take my

seed, and I didn't make the seed. But I got the seed.

See, God wants to work in tandem with me. The seed doesn't get

in the dirt unless I put it in there. I gotta put it in

there. So we worked together, God and I and we tend his amazing

earth. So I take his seed. I didn't make that seed. I

didn't put the genetics for a bean plant in that seed. Take that seed

and I shove it down in the dirt, and I shove the dirt that

I didn't make over it. And then I go get water. Then I

never I didn't make water. I didn't come up with water. God came

up with water. That's a whole nother sermon in and of itself, of

what water is, and it's amazingness. And I put some water on it.

And then eventually I go out there and look, because that's all I

can do. I'm not insure to make that thing grow. Only God can

make that grow. He's the lord of the harvest. He's the lord of

the fullness. But if I don't do my part and take my seat and

put it in the ground, I ain't gonna have a harvest. And I

stood there and I watched and I watched, and after a while, you

wonder, I don't think it's gonna work this time. God, your word

said that seed is gonna keep going. Is it gonna work this time?

I don't know. I don't know oo. And then I get a little

nervous, and I go and sure enough there was a little bit coming and

God brought forth. I didn't make it work. I didn't make that thing

sprout. God does, and his fullness, it's what happens. He brings

forth. And those little plants are about that high. Guess what. Those

things are gonna take over the whole garden. And then I'm gonna have so

many beans I'm not gonna know what to do. I'm gonna have such plenty.

You guys are gonna have to come over to my house and help me

eat green beans. But that's what he wants. He wants us to partner

with him. Second Samuel, twenty three, verses eleven and twelve tell us

of a story of a man who had an allotment and who had an enemy.

This man his name is Shama. Second Samuel, verse chapter twenty three,

verse thirteen. This man was one of David's mighty men. David was

an incredible king who had many wars and had to do a lot of things.

This man, Shama, was one of his mighty men. There's I

don't know how, there's three main mighty men, and then there was a

like twenty others. Not very many got into the Bible, but this guy

got in the Bible. So I'm like, so, what did this mighty

man do? Can I read you what this mighty man did? Okay,

you're ready, Here we go. Second Samuel, chapter twenty three, verse

thirteen. Next to him, which was the first mighty man standing next to

him, was Shama, son of Agee the Hammerright when the Philistines banded together

in a place where there was a field full of lentils, the Israelite troops

fled from them, but Shama took his stand in the middle of the field,

and he defended it and struck the Philistines down, and the Lord brought

about a great victory. Shama was given a plant of a bean patch,

a hunk of land. Remember how much God loves land, who owns the

land and the fullness thereof? And the enemy comes. The enemy came to

strike down Shama and take his bean field and do its work with that.

But Shama said, not on my watch, not in my patch, not

in my inheritance, and not in my allotment, and says that he took

his sword and he beat them back. He did not let the enemy mess

with his allotment or with his inheritance. And I am here to tell you,

people of God, the earth is the Lord's. It's not the enemies.

The earth belongs to the Lord. And I am here to partner with

him to fight for the allotment of land that I have been given. I

was driving to church here a couple of weeks ago, and I'm driving down.

So what is my allotment? What is my allotment? What do I

get? Do I have my little box of beans and that's it. The

Bible says no. The Bible says no. In fact, Psalms says Psalm

too, God says, ask of me for the nations for your inheritance and

the ends of the earth for your possessions. What so my allotment isn't my

little box of beans. My allotment is I can ask for the nations.

I can ask for the ends of the earth. God, you're telling me

that the earth belongs to you, and you want it under your auspices.

You want the oppression of the enemy broken, poverty broken, all of lack

and everything broken. You want your fullness to come forth. Is this what

I'm hearing you say? Lord, not just in my own life, but

in the nations. That's my allotment too. I was driving here a couple

of weeks ago to come to work, and I'm driving down Levy and I

see a young man in the distance. You know, it's pretty straight,

pretty, you know, and he's probably a half a mile down, and

I just thought, oh, I could tell by I could tell he was

a young man. I could tell he was African American. So he had

culture within him. He was filled with that nation's giftings. He was filled

with. And I love the African nations. I love them. I think

they have rhythm like I can't do. They got gifts I don't have.

I love it when they are released from bondage and oppression. So I'm walking,

I'm driving, and I'm just I just had a little happiness and a

little happy dance in my heart and I was just Father, Oh wow,

I you know, he's up and he's running, walking in early in the

morning. I'm getting closer. I'm getting closer. I'm starting to go what

wait, something was wrong? Got a little closer, and I realized his

pants were down around his an goals. His underwear were tattered and falling off.

The shame the image of God was walking down that street under such oppression.

The heart broke, his hair was a mess, and the closer I

got, I could see that he was he was out of his mind.

The mind that God gave him to solve problems and to event invent things,

and and to care for a family and to fight the enemy was gone.

And God said, asked me for the nations, asked me for him,

ask me for him. It's a father. I don't know what to do.

I don't know. And as soon as I kind of got close to

him, he took off into the woods. There was no getting to him.

Otherwise I think I would have pulled my car over and said, can

I please pray for you. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof

and the power of darkness is oppressing the fullness of God in this earth.

And we are to work in tandem with the Lord and to stand in our

bean patch, in our allotment those things that God has given us, and

to defend it against the enemy. To take yours, yes hallelujah, to

take and go to the break the power of curse off it and to release

it. That is our job today, is mission Sunday. I want to

tell you single one of you, you have an allotment. You have an

inheritance, you have been given. The first thing you have is this inside

of you, your soul, your mind, your will, your emotions,

your thoughts, your life. That is your allotment. And I would say

even now, stand up like Shama stood up, and go to war over

your own hearts. Do not let anything rule over you but the Lord God

himself, for this is your first allotment. Secondly, it's your family.

You have an allotment called your family, your husband, your wife, your

children, your grandchildren, your parents. That is your allotment. Go to

war for your allotment, defend your bean patch. Don't let anything, do

anything come in to your allotment. And then I would say, your neighbor

as yourself, I would say, be even so bold to ask for your

city, for your state, for your nation and the nations. And let's

begin to stand up right now. I just all across this room stand up,

and I want to encourage you to take a stand, just like Shama

took a stand in his bean patch and said absolutely not, not on my

watch. In Jesus name, I will defend. I will defend the fullness

of the Lord in this earth that in my allotments. In Jesus's name,

God, I think you right now just go to war right now, because

there's some enemy activity in your allotments. Right now, there's some enemy activity

inside of your family, inside of your soul, inside of your city,

inside of your family, inside of this nation, inside of this earth.

There's some enemy activity. There's oppression. Even now, break it, break

it, break it, break it, break it. Stand like Shama stood

and say not now not here in my being patch, not in my allotment,

not in my inheritance, not in the place that you have given to

me. Father, For all of it is yours, and you've given me

this moment in time. Hallelujah. Thank you Jesus. Praise you Father,

say, Father, I am yours. Help me. Let me be yours.

Let me fight for you in Jesus name. Make me a missionary even

today, that I would bring the gospel, that I would bring you,

that I would bring you and your spirit and your fullness into my place,

into my allotment and into my peace of this earth. In Jesus name.

And God, I say, right now, raise your hands to him,

hallelujah, annoying to us. Give us the strength, give us the strength,

give us the nations. Give us Lord, God, give it to

us. We will disciple and we will fight for it. We will defend

it, we will break oppression off of it. In Jesus name. Hallelujah,

halleluh. God. I pray right now for these people. God,

I thank you that you are going to take them into this day, this

week. Lord, give take them into this week. Lord, show them,

show them, show them what to do, where to go, how

to do it in Jesus name, and let's worship our way out
