-

-
I used to see what you're doing in our time and in our season.
-
Speak and encourage yoursel God, renew our faith, revive our hope through
-
your world. In Jesus name and everyone say Amen, you may take your
-
seat. It's so good to be back here. Thank you so much.
-
Passon Joel, Thank you for so much. Passon dying. Are these are
-
amazing? Amazing passons? Can we celebrate them? Please? Yeah? Well,
-
I wish I was in Uganda. We celebrate our pastors. You are
-
coming in September. If they don't like you anymore, I'll keep you in
-
Uganda. That's so good to be here. Greetings from Uganda, Greetings for
-
my family. I've been here for about two months now, one month to
-
go go back end of June. I missed my family, but it's one
-
of those things you've got to go to do for When you sign up for
-
ministry, you sign up for sacrifice, so it's one of the things.
-
But gracing for my family. My wife, the same wife I had last
-
time, was here. She still with me and UH two kids and my
-
daughter just turned twenty three this uh this last week and my son is seventeen.
-
Last match, so growing family even Wow this you are an amazing church.
-
You are as I travel through the US, you are an amazing church,
-
very very special and very very different. Uh. The way you approach
-
world missions local to Globo is just amazing. I know a lot of churches
-
that have kicked missions out of their programs and whatever they do, they want
-
to focus right building greater churches. But you guys amazing. Thank you pass
-
a Joel for your passion, for your intesty on missions, world dimissions thinks.
-
Thanks doing and as this church maybe many of you don't know, but
-
as being very very instrumental in our minutes back in Africa in helping us to
-
do a lot of projects that we do for many many years. Supported um
-
Papa and Mama study for many many years. And now you sent us the
-
Jefferies as she as you had. They are coming to serve with us and
-
we are going to put them to work. Thank you so much for sending
-
them to our way and we are so grateful and all the project that you've
-
done in Uganda in Africa in general. Thank you so so much. Uganda.
-
It's just an amazing country we are. Uganda is the size of the
-
state of Oregon, but now we are forty five media and Ugandans. Yeah.
-
Also people you come to Compile, you have more people working on the
-
street than cars. You come here and you're more cars more than people.
-
That but that's Uganda and so and our under our population to our forty five
-
million, and fifty percent of that is under the age of eighteen right now.
-
So we happen to be the second youngest population in the world. And
-
uh so, we have lots of kids and our ministry is leading involved in
-
building schools. We have twenty four primary schools right now and each school is
-
avileging two hundred kids. There are about almost five and five thousand kids that
-
we minister two every week through out Uganda in our schools. You need to
-
understand when we talk about school, they come from all kinds of background,
-
Muslims and they believers whichever. But when they come to our schools, we
-
opened school in the morning with prayer, we read the Bible, they get
-
to sing Jesus. We don't care whether you're a Muslim or atheists. Or
-
whatever you are, you'll go to pray in the name, in the name
-
of Jesus. And you know how powerful the name is. You can only
-
pray and say the name a few times before you get addicted and taken over
-
by the name. So many of those kids that are now born again and
-
they come through our schools seven years. By the end of seven years,
-
you know, many of them are spilled the field. They know the world,
-
they know we teach them out to pray. When you come, we
-
shall ask our kids to lay hands on you. We now run about in
-
our fellowship. We run about three hundred six or seven churches in the fellowship
-
that I lead and are a vileging two hundred people per church. That's almost
-
ten thousand people with minutes are two throughout Uganda every week. And those churches
-
are planting more churches, reaching out to their only communities and doing a lot
-
of work. Feears back this church. Passon, Joe, you got behind
-
one of our major churches, Passer Helen, a Passer Jacob and Helen in
-
the cumuland you helped us build the school for that community. It's outstanding.
-
It's the biggest Christian school in that community. As reaching a lot of kids,
-
and the well and everything you did in that community who outlasts us all
-
and many many kids are going to be blessed through generations. The school will
-
never go away. It would be a blessing to the community for many many
-
years to come. And so we are not only living for today, but
-
we are looking to the future. And that's what the church should be.
-
All of us should be looking to the future for whatever we do. And
-
so building schools we don't we don't gain even in our organization. We don't
-
build these schools for profit. We build them to benefit the community, to
-
educate our people. And so many of those kids have been being educated,
-
and we are changing a nation. If you give a kid two things.
-
One, if you give them Jesus and give them education, the sky is
-
the limit. They can do anything. They can become anything. And so
-
thank you again, so somnd for getting involved in those projects. And may
-
the Lord bless you so much. Pass A doing many many years ago uk
-
him and gave us a teaching and recover life. I see use your teaching
-
is such a powerful tool in the hands of that is working so much confusion
-
and so much abuse. But your teaching. I took a free young people
-
through the teaching and I gave and I set them free to go and now
-
they're using it. The Universities Mcallary is our biggest university and we have a
-
fellowship. We have a young man who is a former Muslim that is part
-
of my pastoral team now. But he the Lord gave him a vision to
-
go and start a fellowship, not a church, in downtown Comparer. So
-
they meet every Monday, every Monday night and he gathers people and churched people
-
from all kinds of background and he prays with him and teaches the world.
-
And now recently he was able to pay natured through the universities and he's busing
-
university students into the fellowship every Monday. And guess what, there's just so
-
much abuse that people don't talk about when you go closer to people, and
-
there's a coming one on one. That teaching is helping us, our Lord,
-
So thank you so much for taking time to write them that program that
-
is setting people free. Amen. Well, um, I need to read
-
the Bible right yeah, because see some of you looking at me. Is
-
that in the Bible? No? But it's what the Bible does. But
-
let's read the Bible. In Matthew twenty eight, verse eighteen. Matthew twenty
-
eight and verse eighteen, Jesus says, and Jesus came, The Bible says,
-
and Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, all authority has been
-
given to me in heaven and earth, God the lafol and make disciples of
-
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son,
-
and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I've commanded you.
-
And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of
-
the age. Amen. Now this is one of the most profound scriptures in
-
the Bible. This is Jesus after res election. You know, if you
-
last apol, we were able to celebrate Easter, the resurlection of the Lord,
-
so you know how he suffered. He was chrisified. But on the
-
third day he came out. And when he came out, he go he
-
appeared to the disciples. Jesus never appeared to anyone who did not believe after
-
the res election. He only appeared to those who believed in including his disciples.
-
And when he met them, he made this profound fundamental statement. He
-
said, all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
-
No one in history has ever made such a statement. We had a present
-
in Uganda. You mean that he tried to be a life present in Uganda.
-
He lasted eighty years. We have had dictators all over the world that
-
have tried to rule in their time and controlations, but they are all gone.
-
No one remembers them. But Jeezus stands up and makes a profound fundamental
-
statements. All authority, not one here in on earth, but in heaven,
-
has been given to me. Now for you to understand the power in
-
that statement, you need to understand this is a military statement their own military
-
generals can make after conquering territories. If you guys live, are used to
-
live in a democracy still, I believe you still do. But you also
-
need to understand. For some of us who come from Africa, we are
-
used to live in kingdoms and in the kingdom living and the king. Your
-
opinion doesn't leading matter, doesn't count. It's only in the democracy you got
-
a voice. You can say whatever you want, whether it will be done
-
or not. But in the kingdom, the king is your authority and whatever
-
he says, it goes no question, no debate, no opinion, and
-
so gee. When Jesus stands up and say all authority has been given to
-
me, he's making a militarist segment, telling that I have conquered. I
-
have authority over life, over creation, I am in charge. I am
-
the king. Anything else is under my feet. I wish you'll wake up
-
and I understand that this is Jesus swirling in after winning a war, and
-
he says all authority nonsund not over the US, not over seat. All
-
authority, including politics, economy, or fears of influence, power belongs to
-
God. And that's seriality. The church needs to wake up too and understand
-
we belong to a kingdom that has a king that is in charge of human
-
affairs. He's not dead, he's known forgotten. He's still in charge.
-
As as as I move around your nation, I feel the fear, I
-
feel the darkness, I feel the trained your national is taking. It sounds
-
like you are going where Africa is coming from. Used to be so dark
-
in Africa, but Africa is coming out. And for some reason, I
-
don't know why you your nation is trying to walk back backward. But I'm
-
telling you, when I read this scripture, I get excited. We are
-
living in exciting times. The darkness may be covering this nation, but let
-
me tell you something. God is still on the throne. Jesus still still
-
has authority and power. No one can vote him out. He has no
-
term limits on the throne. I'm just encouraging you to wake up because many
-
of you in the church are walking in fear. You are so scared about
-
what's coming, about what's next. There is an uncertainty all over the world.
-
But one thing we are sure a lot. The Word of God is
-
true. It never changes. Jesus said, Oh, authority has been given
-
to me. Then he turned to his fible disciples that has been hiding,
-
that had been hiding in hiding for a few days. Peter, the chief
-
spokesman, had denied these or three times fifty days before. He turned to
-
them and said, they are for Go in my name, he says,
-
in maxis and in my name, go and make disciples. He tells them,
-
not on only small villages or small town he says, go and disciple
-
nations. That's a big responsibility right there, to tell twelve former fishermen to
-
disciple nations. I don't know whether Peter could write and read, but I
-
guess he did. But it was given as such an assignment to disciple nations,
-
something bigger than himself. All the apostles, the twelve Apostles, we
-
know their names, but some of them we don't know what they said.
-
But Jesus turned to them and tell them trust them because of his power,
-
not depending on their ability, but his power, he says. He turned
-
to them and said, all authority has been given to me that in my
-
name, if you go in my name, you concarnations, and you disciple
-
them. And these two of guys they believed what Jesus told them. He
-
saw the record. They went out of Jeosalem and scattered all over the known
-
world and started preaching the Gospel everywhere. Jesus didn't. Peter denied jes Are
-
three times in the Gospels, but in the Book of a Chapter two,
-
the Bible says, when the day of Pentecost had fully come, the Holy
-
Spirit descended on them, and people started mocking them. Guests who stood up
-
and spoke boldly. It was Peter. And in first Crusade, three thousand
-
people got born again. The next time Peter preachers, five thousand get born
-
again. In less than a month, the church had grown to almost ten
-
thousand people. Why all authority in heaven was given to the name of Jesus,
-
that we ever believed in Him shall not plish. And so these guys
-
believed, and they went everywhere approaching. And so I just want to wake
-
you up to the reality that we are living in a time when God is
-
about to burst out on the Church again with an outpouring of we spread upon
-
each one of us, and we really need to get ready. The darkness
-
is not just something that should scare us. A darkness should only be a
-
reminder to each one of us that we need to position ourselves, get ready
-
weight for the outpouring, and then be ready to be used whichever where God
-
is calling you to be used. But this is not a time to hide,
-
This is not a time to run. This is a time for you
-
to realize either or authority still belongs to the name of Jesus. I know
-
your nation is changing laws, and but you're reading the Bible staff like this
-
happened all over history. Remember the Book of Esther. Esther lived in a
-
country in a time when they wanted to kill all the Jewish people. But
-
Mordecai reminds Eston says, but you are in the Kingdom for such a time
-
as this. You are not just a queen. So you can enjoy yourself
-
and forget your paying and forget where you come from, your position for God's
-
purposes, and esther to be woken up, because you know, when you
-
go through so much suffering and you hit the jackpot, you think God did
-
it for you. But let me tell you something. Everything God does,
-
it is for his glory. Everything God gives you, it is for his
-
use. Every blessing, every everything that God will put in your hand is
-
for the glory of his name. And it's about time the church works up
-
to this reality that God is positioning you in that job, in that company,
-
in that home, in that malage, wherever you are, God is
-
positioning you just use you for His kingdom purposes. And so Essa wakes up
-
and I like what she said when she was so you need to go in,
-
and she said I can't, I'm not invited. And mordeca Is said,
-
well, if you refuse salvation, who come from another source, But
-
you and your father's house might polish as she wakes up and say, I'm
-
going to I'm going to go in. If I Polish, I Polish.
-
That's a kind of faith each one of us needs to build right now.
-
If I Polish, I Polish need to get ready for that. If I
-
Polish, I Pelish, you need to be ready. That's what the Great
-
Commission called us. Peter and his friends were all except one, that we're
-
muttered that we are killed for the cause of the Gospel, that we are
-
ready. You read another another character in the Bible, Daniel. Daniel lived
-
in the kingdom that was so under darkness over a thousand fallen forced gods.
-
And one day Daniel wakes up and the king comes up with a very weird
-
idea. He said, I'm going to make us at you and everyone in
-
this kingdom that he has the sound of a trumpet shall bow down and worship
-
this idol. A. Daniel says, no, I live for the living
-
God. I have the King of kings leaving me. I worship no other
-
god but Jehovah. And he was told him, well, will kill you
-
if you refuse. Daniel refused, bowed, and his friends a mesad and
-
bend. They refuse, bow down too the statue, and the king called
-
the Bible says. The King called the three boys and says, do you
-
understand what you're doing? Do you understand the power that I have in me?
-
I can throw you in the funnace and you'll be bad. And the
-
boys said, oh, King, we totally understand how powerful you are.
-
But you also need to understand the God that we serve can save us.
-
How many people believe God can save in every situation, in any situation.
-
But I like what they added on. Then you said, I but even
-
if it doesn't, because faith gives you that extra point. Even if it
-
doesn't, He is able to save. But even if it doesn't, will
-
not worship another God. That's the kind of faith you need in Washington right
-
now. You need it you otherwise, you guys, when the fire gets
-
going, the fearful will lose. The fearful well, never see them again.
-
I remember sold told in Uganda during he the mean Dada, he said,
-
we can't have painted costals of Bonn again Christian and destination. And there
-
all this particular church full gospel. They call it full gospel. They said,
-
we will continue to fellowship and a solid sold one day a person.
-
A few if you believers were in the church praying, and the soldiers came
-
and surrounded the church, and the soldiers said, okay, if you are
-
born again, come this side. If you are not, come to this
-
side. And the person was the first to say I am born again,
-
except on one side, and the majority of the people said I'm not.
-
They said, well, I will deny Jesus now and repent later when I
-
go out of the building. Guess what. The soldiers looked at the people
-
will deny Jesus and told you are the people who are confusing us. So
-
they arrested all those who deny Jesus and took them to prison and never appeared
-
again. You need to be strong for your faith and you don't need to
-
be fearful. This is a time for boldness people. We are getting in
-
a time where we need to stand up and say he will save us.
-
But if it doesn't, we will know. We will not bow down to
-
this stupidly law that they are coming up with. Will not bow down to
-
whatever they are forcing our kids to do. We refuse in the name of
-
Jesus. And you need to have that faith. If I polish, I
-
polish, If he serves, it will save me body. If he doesn't,
-
I am determined to go all the way. That's the kind of faith
-
you need to develop in the US. And the time is now, you
-
don't have a a lot of time is getting darker. But the darkness is
-
a stage for the show of power. And guess who has the power?
-
The Church in him. We have the power. The church doesn't lose.
-
Why because the Master is on the throne. So I just wanted to bring
-
a challenge to you this morning, also to wake you up and realize that
-
we are not a people to hide. We are not a people to be
-
scared of anything. We are not called to fear. We are We've not
-
been given a spirit of fear. We have Cross sitting on the inside of
-
us. And he is a Lord of Lord, the master of nature,
-
the Lula, the king of kings. Every dominion, throne and power is
-
under him. He has the power and you happen to know him. And
-
so I want to challenge you that during this next the next month, you
-
need to start realizing who you are and so doing missions. And as we
-
use the Great commission Matthew twenty eight eighten go into the world and make disciples.
-
I believe this is um. We've seen this happen in Africa and it's
-
been such a It has brought such a fundamental change in many of our communities
-
all over Africa, everywhere we went. This book that I wrote about my
-
story, it happens in a small village called Massulater. I lost part of
-
my family during the civil war there, my sister, my grandfather, my
-
many other latives that I knew that you were killed during the war. But
-
the Lord took me back after after Bible college. After I came and lived
-
with Mama Sudan and Pap around took me through high school, Bible college.
-
The Lord sent me back to that village, that small community, and told
-
me go and planty church. And when I went back there with my wife,
-
everyone who came to our church had the same story like mine. They
-
had lost their families gone through the war. But the Lord had taken me
-
out and healed me and sent me back to bring hitting to my people.
-
And I'm telling you that community there has been changed by the preaching of the
-
Gospel. It is different. Twenty years later, you go there, you
-
cannot trace whatever we found there at the beginning God. The gospel is the
-
power of God to save. And I can tell you individual stories of what
-
God did. Let me finish with a few as successful stories. When I
-
when I just went in through that village, there was one evening I was
-
in my house and I got a knock on my door and there was this
-
lady with two kids. She had just lost a husband to suicide. He
-
found out he had AIDS and he couldn't live with it, so he took
-
his own life. And say a few weeks later, this one woman walks
-
to my house and she knocks on my door in the evening and told me,
-
do you have Jesus? I said yes, and she told me I
-
want you Jesus. So she got born again and she started coming to chat.
-
A few months down the road, she got very, very sick,
-
and she's at the point of death. She went. She goes into Comma
-
and her family, the girls around and they said things they're not supposed to
-
say during her time in Comma. When she came out, she knew what
-
they had said. She called me and told me, when I die,
-
I'm not leaving my kids without my family. I'm giving them to you.
-
She died a few weeks later, and I took the two kids, a
-
boy and a girl, and I took them in my house. Me and
-
my wife, we raised those two kids. We took them to school.
-
Well, they grew up and received a great education. Right now they the
-
girl is married with three kids. And the boy, the young man Isaac,
-
he just found an American girl, got married and now they live in
-
Roseberg, Roseberg, Oregon. And he's a worship leader. Before he left,
-
Uganda was our main worship leader. And Uganda he did music in school
-
and he's a very talented young man. He has recorded worship music. You
-
can find his musical Apple Music, and you can enjoy his worship. But
-
when he first came to me, he was just an orphan total opened,
-
no further, no mother, and I had no idea that it will turn
-
out to be such an instrument and instrumental person in our ministry. He's now
-
writing music that we're using even in our mean in our men in our churches
-
who to worship the Lord. And so when you support mission causes like this,
-
you never you you will never put faces on the way like that.
-
But they are faces behind and they are individuals, they are real people behind
-
what you give, and you will never see everywhere every kid getting water from
-
that world. But they are hundreds of kid that will come to draw water
-
from those worlds and they will be thankful that you gave. And so I
-
just want to encourage you that this thing is real. And when you give
-
the money to us, to our organizers, and we just don't just give
-
away the water that give. We give you water, and we give you
-
Jesus. We take you to school and we preach Jesus because it's not just
-
about giving. It's the mainly cause saving souls. Because everything else will pass
-
away by one thing will remain the people that we bring to the Kingdom who
-
be with us in heaven. So day when everything is said and done and
-
we gather in heaven, that would be hundreds of Africans. And I can
-
tell you right now that you Americans, I will never come to your corner
-
during worship because the way you worship, you stand the suit during good music.
-
Africans who we dance, we raise hand. We need the space for
-
worship. So I told myself doing worship in heaven, I'll go to the
-
African side. But I can't wait pass a jeer when we get to heaven.
-
All these kids would be hanging around you and saying, oh, I
-
went to the school you build. I drank from the well you dug.
-
I went to school because of what everything you did is because you gave that
-
I made it to heaven. There are many stories that I can't tell you
-
right now. Now we can give you a financial countability for what you give,
-
but spiritual countabilities why you need to go to heaven. There will be
-
hundreds of people from Korea, from England, You, Ganda, Vietnam,
-
all these nations will be presented here. Let me tell you something, people,
-
the Kingdom of God is so civil, alive and kicking. And I
-
want to encourage use this morning. If you, if you you you you
-
are still doubting that you need to give to missions. This is the reason
-
why we exist at the church, to build the kingdom, not only here
-
in Fife, but all over the world. Because Jesus said, go,
-
and he told them in the Book of Arcs one eighty said first in Jailousalem,
-
then you dare, then Samaria, and to the utter ends of the
-
world. He sent them everywhere, and so this is what we live for
-
the only reason why we're here. The Church is to build the Kingdom,
-
whatever it takes. The only reason why we exist as the church is to
-
build the kingdom. And the way we build the kingdom we give to missions.
-
We come to mission. Those of you that have been on a mission
-
field, I can tell you your life has never been the same. When
-
I walk into the church, I can tell who has ever been on a
-
mission field and who has never been. There's always a difference. So that's
-
all I had to say today. If you need, if you can't buy
-
a book, just speak a copy and take it and read. I hope
-
the book blesses you. Back passenger
