  1. Nice to be with you. I'm sure most of us, if not all of us, are aware this morning that the Apostle Paul wrote a number of letters when he was in prison in Rome.

  2. These letters are known as the prison epistles.

  3. The interesting thing is that the Apostle Paul didn't just see himself in that prison in Rome as a prisoner for the Lord.

  4. But he saw himself as a prisoner of the Lord.

  5. And there's a world of a difference.

  6. And it was because of that relationship with the Lord, his joy, even in prison, even in lockdown, knew no bounds.

  7. He knew what it was to be sorrowful and yet always rejoicing.

  8. And joy is the recurring note that struck in this letter that he wrote to the church in Philippi.

  9. The Apostle Paul, he didn't take anything for granted.

  10. He didn't take God's people in Philippi for granted.

  11. He writes to thank them for their partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

  12. That's how he puts it.

  13. He never took them for granted.

  14. They never took him for granted.

  15. Wherever he went, they supported him in whatever way they could, as we've just been hearing.

  16. He's been hearing.

  17. Sending him gifts.

  18. And on this occasion, Paul writes to thank them for a gift he's just received from them.

  19. How does he see this gift?

  20. He refers to the gift as being a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, something that's pleasing to God.

  21. And if I can paraphrase his words, he said in reply to that,

  22. Under God, you have supplied my need.

  23. And now I want you to know that my God shall supply all your need.

  24. The actual words he used form the text I want to share with you this morning.

  25. Verse 19,

  26. And my God will supply all your need according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

  27. There's the text.

  28. As the Puritans would say in the 17th century,

  29. Let the text do the talking.

  30. You haven't come here this morning to listen to me.

  31. We've all come here this morning to listen to what God has to say to us.

  32. I understand there are 31,102 verses in the Bible.

  33. I haven't counted them.

  34. Somebody else obviously has.

  35. What I want us to do this morning is just to focus on this one text.

  36. What a text it really is.

  37. And my God will supply all your need according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

  38. Do you know when Spurgeon was having an orphanage built towards the end of the 19th century in London,

  39. He ordered the stonemasons to place upon the stone columns at the orphanage entrance these wonderful words in this text.

  40. He had the mention of the stone upon the right and left hand columns of that great archway into the orphanage that was being built.

  41. And this is what Spurgeon said, and I quote,

  42. As long as God lives, we shall never need to remove them.

  43. I bring these words to all of us today as a promise from the word of God.

  44. And I do it in the hope that we'll be reminded perhaps of something of old.

  45. And yet perhaps we'll be spoken to with regards to something new.

  46. But what comes will come with freshness.

  47. As if we're hearing it for the very first time and for the last time.

  48. And my God will supply all you need according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

  49. Now that word and is a conjunction.

  50. Don't miss it right at the beginning of the text.

  51. It's tying this promise into what God has just said before through the Apostle Paul.

  52. It's virtually saying to us, listen, brothers and sisters in Philippi.

  53. You seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.

  54. And God will meet all you need.

  55. You put Jesus first.

  56. Others second.

  57. And yourself last.

  58. J-O-Y.

  59. And you will discover

  60. that you cannot out-give God.

  61. Just three words.

  62. I trained in the faith mission.

  63. So we have to preach with three points.

  64. But each of these points a word.

  65. The first is this.

  66. I want you to notice

  67. that there's confidence

  68. in this text,

  69. in this promise.

  70. This text breathes out confidence.

  71. Confidence

  72. in God.

  73. My God.

  74. My God.

  75. Will meet

  76. all your needs.

  77. I was reminded just last week

  78. that when Paul wrote to Timothy

  79. and he was reminding him

  80. that all scripture was inspired by God.

  81. the word in the Greek for inspired

  82. is theopneustos.

  83. All scripture is

  84. God breathed.

  85. So here from this text

  86. is breathing out

  87. confidence.

  88. confidence.

  89. This is more than a promise

  90. to these Christians

  91. that they'll receive some help,

  92. some support

  93. now and again

  94. to meet some of their needs.

  95. This, if I read it correctly,

  96. is a promise

  97. written by Paul,

  98. but don't forget this,

  99. underwritten

  100. by the Spirit of God,

  101. guaranteeing

  102. the meeting

  103. of all their needs.

  104. every day

  105. in every situation

  106. that you can imagine.

  107. Who can begin?

  108. Who can begin

  109. to calculate

  110. or measure

  111. what's involved

  112. in the meeting

  113. or supplying

  114. of all of one single person's

  115. individual needs?

  116. Of course,

  117. as has often been said

  118. and I need to repeat it,

  119. it's all of our need.

  120. It's not all of our greed.

  121. It's all of our needs,

  122. not all of our wants.

  123. And of course,

  124. it's not going to happen

  125. in our way

  126. or in our time.

  127. It's going to happen

  128. in His way

  129. and in His time.

  130. But it's with reference

  131. to everything

  132. that we will ever need

  133. for our spiritual

  134. and physical well-being

  135. in accordance with His will

  136. for our lives.

  137. Individually,

  138. yes,

  139. and corporately

  140. for as long

  141. as we shall live.

  142. Am I expounding

  143. this text correctly?

  144. Is that what the text

  145. is saying?

  146. This is in line

  147. with the keeping

  148. of body and soul

  149. together on this journey

  150. from here to eternity.

  151. The temporal needs

  152. of one solitary

  153. individual alone

  154. are considerable.

  155. Food,

  156. clothes,

  157. a roof over our heads,

  158. health,

  159. home,

  160. family,

  161. education,

  162. the cost of living

  163. on a day-by-day basis

  164. and so it goes on.

  165. And yet,

  166. those needs,

  167. those needs are so small

  168. and so trivial

  169. in comparison

  170. to a person's

  171. spiritual needs,

  172. the needs of a soul,

  173. your soul

  174. as you serve the Lord

  175. in today's world,

  176. in this secular,

  177. ever-increasing secular society

  178. in which we find ourselves.

  179. The need to feed

  180. your own soul

  181. in order to have

  182. the wherewithal

  183. to feed the souls

  184. of others.

  185. The need for wisdom

  186. to be

  187. in the right place

  188. at the right time

  189. and doing the right thing.

  190. The need to persevere

  191. in times of trial

  192. and tribulation.

  193. The need to overcome

  194. in terms of

  195. personal discouragement

  196. and fierce temptation.

  197. The need to be

  198. totally protected,

  199. inwardly strengthened

  200. and continually encouraged

  201. in your weakest moments

  202. and especially

  203. when the years

  204. are piling on.

  205. The need to have

  206. a vision

  207. for the work

  208. God's calling you to do

  209. whatever age and stage

  210. you may be at in life.

  211. The need to have

  212. a vision

  213. for the work

  214. that God's calling you

  215. to do in and through

  216. His church

  217. and to be moved

  218. by compassion

  219. not just by duty

  220. in the pursuit

  221. of that vision.

  222. Listen to the words

  223. of Paul the Apostle

  224. addressed, I say,

  225. not just to individuals

  226. but to the whole church.

  227. My God,

  228. He will supply

  229. all your need

  230. according to His

  231. glorious riches

  232. in Christ Jesus.

  233. My God,

  234. whose God is this?

  235. This is the God

  236. of the Apostle Paul.

  237. What's He like?

  238. He's the only true

  239. and living God,

  240. isn't He?

  241. He's the God

  242. who gave us

  243. the whole Bible.

  244. He's the God

  245. of creation.

  246. This is who we're

  247. talking about.

  248. He's the God

  249. of the church.

  250. He's the God

  251. of the prophets

  252. in the Old Testament,

  253. all of them.

  254. He's the God

  255. of the apostles

  256. in the New Testament.

  257. He's the God

  258. of the covenant.

  259. He's the God

  260. of Abraham,

  261. Isaac,

  262. and Jacob,

  263. the God of Israel.

  264. He's the God

  265. of Joseph.

  266. He's the God

  267. of Moses

  268. and all that happened.

  269. Think of it

  270. at the Exodus.

  271. He's the God

  272. of Joshua

  273. and all that happened

  274. in the conquest

  275. of the promised land.

  276. He's the God

  277. of David

  278. and the writing

  279. of all those Psalms.

  280. He's the God

  281. of Daniel

  282. and his friends,

  283. whether it's

  284. in the lion's den

  285. or in the fiery furnace.

  286. He's a great God.

  287. He's the God

  288. of heaven and earth,

  289. the God

  290. of geography,

  291. the God

  292. of history,

  293. the God

  294. of time,

  295. the God

  296. of eternity,

  297. the God

  298. of mercy,

  299. love,

  300. and grace,

  301. the God

  302. of redemption.

  303. Oh,

  304. when we were lost,

  305. not looking for him,

  306. he came looking

  307. for us,

  308. the God

  309. of redemption,

  310. the God

  311. of providence,

  312. the God

  313. of yesterday,

  314. today,

  315. and tomorrow,

  316. the God

  317. who gave us

  318. his son,

  319. the God

  320. who didn't

  321. spare him

  322. so that he

  323. could spare us.

  324. Oh,

  325. you read in the

  326. scriptures that God

  327. didn't spare the world

  328. of Noah's day

  329. and we can understand

  330. why.

  331. In their hearts,

  332. only evil continually.

  333. Read those chapters

  334. in Genesis.

  335. He didn't spare

  336. Sodom and Gomorrah

  337. and we can

  338. understand why.

  339. He didn't

  340. spare the angels

  341. that sinned,

  342. rebellion in the

  343. very courts of heaven

  344. and we can understand

  345. why he didn't

  346. spare them.

  347. He's the God

  348. who didn't spare

  349. his own son

  350. in dealing with

  351. your sin

  352. and my sin

  353. and we'll be

  354. asking the question

  355. why for as long

  356. as we live,

  357. not just in time

  358. but throughout

  359. all eternity.

  360. if he's given

  361. us Jesus,

  362. does he not

  363. tell us

  364. in the book of Romans

  365. he'll give us

  366. all things?

  367. My God,

  368. he will supply

  369. all your needs.

  370. Oh,

  371. to grasp

  372. the confidence

  373. in those words

  374. will,

  375. shall.

  376. In this,

  377. one of the many

  378. exceeding great

  379. and precious promises

  380. that we find

  381. in the Bible.

  382. It's not saying

  383. he could

  384. or he might.

  385. It's saying

  386. he will

  387. and he shall.

  388. Breathing out

  389. confidence,

  390. confidence in God.

  391. This is not

  392. presumption.

  393. This is a promise.

  394. This is the promise

  395. of God

  396. and his reputation

  397. is at stake.

  398. In giving it.

  399. Brothers and sisters,

  400. I hope

  401. something comes

  402. through the scriptures

  403. today to encourage you

  404. but also to challenge you.

  405. Listen,

  406. don't just believe this.

  407. We do believe

  408. that we're evangelicals.

  409. Prove it.

  410. There's a challenge.

  411. I take it to myself.

  412. Prove it.

  413. Here's the second thing.

  414. There's not just

  415. confidence in this promise.

  416. There's abundance

  417. in this promise.

  418. My God

  419. will meet

  420. all your needs

  421. according to

  422. his glorious riches.

  423. let the text

  424. do the talking.

  425. we're thinking of

  426. God who can fill us

  427. to the full

  428. by meeting

  429. all our needs,

  430. all your needs,

  431. all my needs.

  432. A God

  433. who can

  434. more than

  435. match

  436. the enormity

  437. of our needs

  438. with the sufficiency

  439. of his grace.

  440. Forgive me

  441. for referring

  442. to Spurgeon again

  443. but I'm reading

  444. his two volumes.

  445. The Early Years

  446. and the Full Harvest.

  447. I've just finished

  448. volume one.

  449. I've just started

  450. volume two.

  451. When he was preaching

  452. on this text,

  453. Spurgeon,

  454. the great Spurgeon,

  455. and he had reached

  456. this thought

  457. in the text.

  458. He said,

  459. and I quote,

  460. the preacher

  461. may sit down

  462. now

  463. for he cannot

  464. compass

  465. this part

  466. of the text.

  467. He cannot

  468. fully explain it.

  469. He cannot

  470. fully expound it.

  471. What does this mean?

  472. My God

  473. will supply

  474. all your needs

  475. according to

  476. his glorious riches.

  477. What does that mean?

  478. I'm sure

  479. we're all familiar

  480. with the story

  481. of the wee widow woman

  482. in the Old Testament

  483. whose children

  484. were about to be

  485. sold by her

  486. creditor to pay

  487. off the debts

  488. of her late husband

  489. who had been

  490. a prophet of the Lord.

  491. He must have been

  492. living on a pittance

  493. from day to day

  494. but there were debts

  495. when he died

  496. and she had nothing

  497. to call her own.

  498. You may remember

  499. except a small

  500. jar of oil

  501. that was in her home.

  502. The prophet

  503. Elisha comes along

  504. and he asks her

  505. to bring the little

  506. jar,

  507. the cruise of oil.

  508. It was all she had.

  509. And she did so

  510. and then he said

  511. to her,

  512. go among your

  513. neighbors,

  514. borrow empty

  515. vessels,

  516. don't ask for

  517. just a few,

  518. then go inside

  519. and shut the door

  520. behind you

  521. and your sons

  522. and pour oil

  523. into all the jars

  524. and as each is filled

  525. put it to the one side.

  526. You know the story.

  527. They kept on

  528. bringing the jars.

  529. She kept on

  530. pouring the oil

  531. into the jars

  532. until all the jars

  533. were filled.

  534. And it was only

  535. when there were

  536. no more jars left

  537. that the oil

  538. stopped to flow

  539. and she went

  540. and sold the oil

  541. and paid her debts

  542. and all her needs

  543. were met.

  544. What is that?

  545. That is a picture

  546. of the way God works

  547. and how God gives.

  548. He's got a bigger

  549. shovel than you

  550. and I will ever have.

  551. We cannot

  552. out give him.

  553. Prove it.

  554. Prove it.

  555. This promise

  556. to meet all their needs.

  557. This is not a license

  558. to encourage laziness

  559. in our part.

  560. Christians mustn't be

  561. spongers or scroungers

  562. living off the backs

  563. of gullible people.

  564. We are to play

  565. our part.

  566. Give God the equivalent

  567. of those empty jars

  568. in your house.

  569. Give him the equivalent

  570. of that tiny

  571. crews of oil.

  572. In other words

  573. give him what we've got

  574. and he'll give us

  575. what we haven't got.

  576. And we'll find

  577. that he always gives

  578. in abundance.

  579. The picture here

  580. is not of scraping

  581. the bottom of the barrel.

  582. The picture here

  583. is of cups

  584. full and running over.

  585. We by his grace

  586. must do what we can do

  587. and give what we can give

  588. and let him do

  589. what only he can do

  590. and give what only

  591. he can give.

  592. But you have noticed

  593. before haven't you?

  594. I'm sure many a preacher

  595. has pointed it out to you.

  596. For God to give

  597. out of his glorious riches

  598. is quite different

  599. from God to give

  600. according to his glorious riches.

  601. when God gives

  602. it's not only

  603. out of his wealth

  604. it's on a scale

  605. as befits

  606. his wealth.

  607. It's in proportion

  608. to his infinite resources.

  609. Illustrate John

  610. will you?

  611. Okay

  612. very simple illustration

  613. if a millionaire

  614. were to give you

  615. out of his wealth

  616. he might not

  617. give you

  618. any more

  619. than a paltry

  620. trifling

  621. five pound note

  622. and keep the rest

  623. for himself.

  624. But if he were to give

  625. according to his wealth

  626. would he give you

  627. a fiver?

  628. No

  629. he might give you

  630. fifty

  631. five hundred

  632. five thousand

  633. even more.

  634. We all need to be

  635. reminded of the fact

  636. that the God

  637. of omnipotence

  638. has his servants

  639. everywhere.

  640. How he surprises

  641. us sometimes.

  642. He owns the cart

  643. in a thousand hills

  644. and the wealth

  645. in every mine.

  646. And it's as the old hymn

  647. puts it

  648. he giveth more grace

  649. when the burdens

  650. grow greater

  651. he sendeth more strength

  652. when the labours

  653. increase

  654. to added affliction

  655. he addeth his mercy

  656. to multiplied trials

  657. his multiplied

  658. peace.

  659. When we have

  660. exhausted our stores

  661. of endurance

  662. when our strength

  663. has failed

  664. ere the day

  665. is half done

  666. when we reach

  667. the end

  668. of our hoarded

  669. resources

  670. our father's

  671. full giving

  672. has only begun.

  673. And then the chorus

  674. oh don't forget

  675. the chorus

  676. his love

  677. has no limit.

  678. It never had

  679. a beginning

  680. and it will

  681. never have an end

  682. his love

  683. has no limit

  684. his grace

  685. has no measure

  686. his power

  687. has no boundary

  688. known unto men

  689. for out of his

  690. infinite riches

  691. in Jesus

  692. he giveth

  693. and giveth

  694. and giveth

  695. again.

  696. True or false?

  697. We know it's true

  698. but let's prove it.

  699. You know

  700. when each

  701. and every one

  702. of us

  703. reaches the end

  704. of the journey

  705. of life

  706. and we finish

  707. the race

  708. God has

  709. marked out

  710. for us.

  711. I have no doubt

  712. that if the question

  713. is put to any

  714. of us

  715. as Jesus

  716. put it

  717. to his disciples

  718. of long ago

  719. the answer

  720. will surely

  721. want to be

  722. the same

  723. as theirs.

  724. Luke 22

    Luke 22:35

  725. verse 35

  726. what did Jesus

  727. ask his disciples?

  728. He said

  729. when I sent you

  730. without purse

  731. bag or sandals

  732. did you like

  733. anything?

  734. Did you?

  735. Did you like

  736. anything?

  737. Anything?

  738. Nothing.

  739. That's

  740. our God.

  741. What is this

  742. text doing?

  743. It's breathing

  744. out confidence.

  745. Confidence in God.

  746. It's breathing

  747. out abundance.

  748. And here's

  749. the thing

  750. it took me

  751. a while

  752. to get to

  753. this.

  754. relevance.

  755. There's

  756. relevance

  757. in this

  758. text.

  759. It's

  760. breathing

  761. out

  762. relevance.

  763. Listen to it

  764. again.

  765. My God

  766. will meet

  767. all your

  768. needs

  769. according to

  770. his riches

  771. his glorious

  772. riches

  773. in

  774. Christ

  775. Jesus.

  776. Now in

  777. some

  778. translations

  779. it's the

  780. word by

  781. that's there.

  782. By

  783. Christ

  784. Jesus.

  785. If it's

  786. by Christ

  787. Jesus

  788. that's

  789. suggesting

  790. that Jesus

  791. is the

  792. channel

  793. through which

  794. all this

  795. supplying of

  796. our needs

  797. is going

  798. to come.

  799. It comes

  800. by him.

  801. It comes

  802. through him.

  803. And there's

  804. truth in

  805. that.

  806. There's

  807. much

  808. truth in

  809. that.

  810. But some

  811. scholars

  812. would assure

  813. us that

  814. the word

  815. in is

  816. also a

  817. good enough

  818. translation

  819. here.

  820. In

  821. Christ

  822. Jesus.

  823. The

  824. Lord

  825. Jesus

  826. in other

  827. words

  828. is the

  829. source.

  830. He's

  831. not just

  832. the channel

  833. of this

  834. supply.

  835. Everything

  836. we shall

  837. ever need

  838. is found

  839. in him.

  840. It's not

  841. just to

  842. be received

  843. from him

  844. or through

  845. him or

  846. by him.

  847. It's to

  848. be found

  849. in him.

  850. And that's

  851. why you

  852. know after

  853. 30 years

  854. or so on

  855. the road

  856. as someone

  857. who knew

  858. him as

  859. his great

  860. God and

  861. saviour.

  862. The apostle

  863. Paul cried

  864. out and

  865. he mentions

  866. it in

  867. this very

  868. letter.

  869. Oh that

  870. I might

  871. know him.

  872. You read

  873. that and

  874. you feel

  875. like you've

  876. known him

  877. for 30

  878. years Paul.

  879. You probably

  880. know him

  881. better than

  882. anybody else

  883. on the

  884. planet.

  885. Oh yes

  886. that may

  887. or may

  888. not be

  889. true.

  890. Oh that

  891. I might

  892. know him.

  893. This promise

  894. was made

  895. over 2,000

  896. years ago

  897. but it's

  898. not out

  899. of date.

  900. It's so

  901. relevant.

  902. And I'll

  903. tell you why

  904. it would

  905. have become

  906. obsolete

  907. long ago

  908. if it

  909. had been

  910. written in

  911. any other

  912. name other

  913. than the

  914. name of

  915. Jesus.

  916. The reason

  917. for saying

  918. that is

  919. simple.

  920. All our

  921. Lord's

  922. contemporaries

  923. have died.

  924. they are

  925. no more

  926. as far as

  927. this world

  928. is concerned

  929. only Jesus

  930. remains.

  931. The

  932. Herods

  933. where are

  934. they?

  935. They've

  936. gone.

  937. The

  938. Romans

  939. where are

  940. they?

  941. They've

  942. gone.

  943. The

  944. apostles

  945. where are

  946. they?

  947. gone.

  948. Everybody

  949. comes and

  950. goes.

  951. None of

  952. us are

  953. here to

  954. stay.

  955. We're all

  956. here to

  957. go.

  958. John

  959. Calvin

  960. the genius

  961. of Geneva

  962. he's gone.

  963. John

  964. Wesley

  965. that fire

  966. brand of

  967. Methodism

  968. he's gone.

  969. John

  970. Owen

  971. the great

  972. John

  973. Owen

  974. he's gone.

  975. John

  976. Nelson

  977. Darby

  978. if you

  979. come from

  980. a

  981. brethren

  982. background

  983. JND

  984. he's

  985. gone.

  986. Only

  987. Jesus

  988. remains.

  989. Only

  990. his name

  991. endures.

  992. Only

  993. the name

  994. of Jesus

  995. opens the

  996. bank of

  997. heaven to

  998. the check

  999. book of

  1000. faith.

  1001. Or is

  1002. it now

  1003. the debit

  1004. card of

  1005. faith?

  1006. All the

  1007. others

  1008. no matter

  1009. how great

  1010. they were

  1011. and we

  1012. thank God

  1013. for them

  1014. in their

  1015. day.

  1016. They've

  1017. had their

  1018. day.

  1019. And they

  1020. can do

  1021. nothing for

  1022. us.

  1023. Today

  1024. in this

  1025. sense

  1026. they've

  1027. all gone

  1028. to another

  1029. place and

  1030. the place

  1031. that knew

  1032. them here

  1033. knows them

  1034. no more.

  1035. Even the

  1036. greatest of

  1037. the saints

  1038. have gone.

  1039. Dare I

  1040. say this

  1041. it is

  1042. absolute

  1043. nonsense

  1044. never mind

  1045. heresy

  1046. to think

  1047. that we

  1048. living today

  1049. can somehow

  1050. tap into

  1051. some reservoir

  1052. of grace

  1053. to be found

  1054. in the

  1055. saints in

  1056. heaven.

  1057. only the

  1058. Roman

  1059. church

  1060. at her

  1061. worst

  1062. could have

  1063. thought up

  1064. such a

  1065. heresy.

  1066. Works of

  1067. super

  1068. erogation

  1069. the saints

  1070. in glory

  1071. they've

  1072. enough

  1073. grace

  1074. not just

  1075. for themselves

  1076. to be there

  1077. but for

  1078. other people

  1079. to be helped

  1080. to get there.

  1081. They can help

  1082. you pray to

  1083. them.

  1084. no you

  1085. don't.

  1086. It's all

  1087. in Jesus.

  1088. Don't

  1089. misunderstand

  1090. me.

  1091. In the

  1092. words of

  1093. Alistair

  1094. McGrath

  1095. in his

  1096. beautiful

  1097. little

  1098. book

  1099. called

  1100. The

  1101. Journey

  1102. we can

  1103. hitch a

  1104. ride

  1105. with some

  1106. of these

  1107. saints

  1108. from the

  1109. past.

  1110. Travel the

  1111. road ahead

  1112. of us

  1113. and be

  1114. greatly

  1115. blessed

  1116. by them

  1117. in that

  1118. sense.

  1119. Think of

  1120. it from

  1121. time to

  1122. time.

  1123. It can

  1124. be our

  1125. privilege to

  1126. hitch a

  1127. ride with

  1128. Martin

  1129. Luther,

  1130. the great

  1131. Augustine,

  1132. Jonathan

  1133. Edwards,

  1134. John Bunyan.

  1135. We can

  1136. learn a lot

  1137. about the

  1138. living of

  1139. the Christian

  1140. life as

  1141. we travel

  1142. in their

  1143. company by

  1144. way of

  1145. their

  1146. biographies

  1147. or

  1148. autobiographies

  1149. but not

  1150. because they're

  1151. up there

  1152. with more

  1153. grace than

  1154. they need.

  1155. Only the

  1156. risen Lord

  1157. Jesus remains

  1158. and is

  1159. therefore

  1160. relevant and

  1161. more than

  1162. sufficient for

  1163. his people

  1164. and their

  1165. needs.

  1166. I'm almost

  1167. finished.

  1168. In him

  1169. and by

  1170. faith in

  1171. him are

  1172. all the

  1173. resources of

  1174. God put

  1175. at your

  1176. disposal and

  1177. mine.

  1178. It's a

  1179. wonderful

  1180. text.

  1181. It's full of

  1182. confidence.

  1183. It breathes

  1184. it.

  1185. It's full of

  1186. abundance.

  1187. It breathes

  1188. out abundance.

  1189. It's full of

  1190. relevance.

  1191. Written by the

  1192. apostle Paul

  1193. 2,000 years

  1194. ago but

  1195. underwritten by

  1196. the spirit of

  1197. God.

  1198. No eye has

  1199. seen.

  1200. No ear has

  1201. heard.

  1202. No mind has

  1203. conceived what

  1204. God has

  1205. prepared for

  1206. those who

  1207. love him.

  1208. No matter

  1209. how far we've

  1210. come, the

  1211. best is still

  1212. ahead of us.

  1213. I was

  1214. thinking of

  1215. the Queen of

  1216. Sheba going

  1217. up with all

  1218. her questions

  1219. to Solomon

  1220. and coming

  1221. away saying,

  1222. the half was

  1223. never told me.

  1224. There's a

  1225. greater than

  1226. Solomon here.

  1227. All the

  1228. fullness of

  1229. the God

  1230. heads in

  1231. him.

  1232. All the

  1233. treasures of

  1234. wisdom and

  1235. knowledge are

  1236. in him.

  1237. Yes.

  1238. All the

  1239. spiritual

  1240. blessings are

  1241. in him.

  1242. Yes.

  1243. Prove it.

  1244. I'll leave

  1245. you the

  1246. text.

  1247. And I

  1248. hope it

  1249. will do

  1250. the talking

  1251. when my

  1252. voice is

  1253. long

  1254. silent.

  1255. God gave

  1256. it to me

  1257. during

  1258. lockdown.

  1259. Struggling.

  1260. Prove it.

  1261. Prove it.

  1262. Prove it.

  1263. Prove it.

  1264. Prove it.

  1265. Prove it.

  1266. Prove it.

  1267. Prove it.

  1268. Prove it.

  1269. Prove it.

  1270. Prove it.

  1271. Prove it.

  1272. Prove it.

  1273. Prove it.

  1274. Prove it.
