  1. Father. We just thank you Father, this moment, your presence

  2. is here. Father, we just we just acknowledge you, Lord,

  3. We acknowledge you. We're so thankful. Yeah, our hearts rejoice

  4. Lord in your goodness. We thank you Father that you've

  5. brought us here today. We thank you for this word

  6. that's uh gonna challenge us, it's gonna lift us up,

  7. encourage us. Father God, I thank you Lord for every

  8. heart that will receive this seed, this word, Father God,

  9. I thank you that it will bear fruit, and it

  10. will bear much fruit for your glory in Jesus' name.

  11. And everyone said, Amen, all right, let's go, come on, hallelujah,

  12. warrior like victories from child like faith. We're going to

  13. be reading in the Book of Matthew chapter eighteen, verses

  14. one through four. Book of Matthew, chapter eighteen, verses one

  15. through four. And we got some kingdom realities that we're

  16. going to be sharing here today. And so let's just

  17. dive into what to the world of God. So let's read.

  18. It says at that time the disciples came to ask Jesus,

  19. who then is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

  20. Jesus called a little one to his side and said

  21. to them, learn this well, everybody, repeat, learn this well.

  22. Unless you dramatically change your way of thinking and become

  23. teachable like a child, you will never be able to

  24. enter in. Whoever continuously hume himself to become like this

  25. little child is the greatest one in Heaven's kingdom. Realm, amen.

  26. So I just wanted to share with you, just really quick.

  27. There's some hopeful research that I was able to uh find,

  28. and I wanted to share with you with regards to

  29. the ability the ability of testing and finding out about

  30. the genius, about the genius that is inside of each human.

  31. So people were undergoing this test, and I want to

  32. quiz you on it. I'm gonna ask you, maybe you know,

  33. maybe you don't know. So of the people that are here,

  34. who do you think scored the highest in creativity at

  35. genius level? So I'm gonna give you four categories. Are

  36. you ready? Category number one dum dum, dude, not yet,

  37. not yet, okay? Category number one just three to five okay,

  38. Category number two ages ten, Category number three ages fifteen,

  39. and category number four adult age around thirty one years old.

  40. So if you can just tell me which of these

  41. categories do you think scored the highest percentage on genius level?

  42. If you say it's ages three to five, raise your hand. Okay,

  43. that's a good amount of people. All right, what about

  44. ages ten? Excellent? Okay, a little bit excellent. Okay, let's

  45. what about age fifteen? We know them, teenagers know everything.

  46. Come on now, at least that's what I thought when

  47. I was fifteen. What about adults averaging age thirty one? Good? Good? Okay,

  48. maybe three or four? Right, and you're like, yeah, that's

  49. my age group. Yeah, all right, Well, before I reveal,

  50. before I reveal what the statistics shows is, I want

  51. to be able to let you know that two things

  52. that were tested here had to do with the way

  53. that people think and so divergent and convergent. Convergent thinking,

  54. which basically, for divergent thinking is the ability to just

  55. be able to think of all of the thoughts that

  56. just come to you and write and you're just like,

  57. you're like this idea fairy almost you know, we can

  58. use in different words. You're just like you've got a

  59. plan for everything, and you can see solutions for everything.

  60. And then the second aspect of thinking is convergent, which

  61. is more like let's focus in. Okay, we got one

  62. thing to do. We're gonna do this, and that's how

  63. it's gonna get done. That's a little bit of what

  64. you know. And both of them are necessary. We need

  65. to be able to have both kinds of thinking in

  66. our thought process. They're both good. But what I want

  67. to be able to share today is a kingdom perspective.

  68. It's a kingdom reality with regards to child like faith. Amen.

  69. All right, So then as we look at the Book

  70. of Oh, let me show you the chart. Sorry, ninety

  71. eight percent of the kids that were tested between the

  72. ages of three and five scored ninety eight percent of

  73. the genius. Okay, ten of the same kids at the

  74. age of ten were retested. This is a fifty six

  75. year study that was done by NASA, well for NASA.

  76. By these in the vials the age at the age

  77. of ten, the percentile went down to thirty. Then at

  78. the age of fifteen, he went down to twelve. And

  79. then they retested not just these individuals, but they also

  80. retested two hundred and eighty thousand people around the age

  81. of thirty one and the percentile was two percent. And

  82. so this kind of like sparks something in me because

  83. the Word of God talks so much about the Kingdom

  84. of Heaven, and it talks about how we need to

  85. be like children to be able to enter in. Somebody say,

  86. enter in. And the way of this world is like

  87. upside down. The way of this world is upside down.

  88. So it doesn't really work. It's not equivalent. It's not

  89. the same as the way of the Kingdom of Heaven.

  90. So Jesus the Mighty Teacher, speaks to the disciples and

  91. answers a question. There is a question that is raised

  92. up by the disciples, by the followers of Jesus, those

  93. that are seeing what Jesus is doing there. Some of

  94. them are convinced, some of them are like, I think so,

  95. and some of them are like, oh yeah, maybe not right.

  96. We have a mixed crowd of people of followers of Jesus.

  97. And so basically Jesus God has you know, just enters

  98. into an invitation to the disciples and breaks it down

  99. to them, to the disciples to hear the way of

  100. the Kingdom. So, who then is the greatest in the

  101. Kingdom of Heaven is the question? Who then is the

  102. greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven? And So when we

  103. think about this question and we look at the question

  104. and we try to break it down a little bit,

  105. it talks up it's saying who. And when it says who,

  106. that means that the crowd that is present has some

  107. kind of relation to what is being asked. So the

  108. disciples are there, and so the question is like, okay,

  109. so who amongst us, who that are close to you?

  110. Who that has been working the hardest? You know, who

  111. that has been you know, the most righteous? You know,

  112. the best clothing that whatever it is right? Who? Who

  113. of us is going to be in that position? Who

  114. of us? So we see that in the human intellect,

  115. in the natural realm, there is comparison, comparison saying it

  116. hinders the ability to be able to walk in the

  117. fullness of what God has called us to do. It's

  118. the worst thing ever. But we could see that the

  119. mindset of those that were following Jesus right here, there

  120. was still some of that. They were like, well, you know,

  121. we have a community, we have a culture, we we

  122. we have an upbringing, and this is kind of like

  123. how it goes for us. This is what we do.

  124. We know, right, we work really hard and we do

  125. this and we have ways of doing things, and those

  126. are all good things so long as they don't come

  127. into conflict with the Kingdom of heaven, so long as

  128. they don't come into conflict with what the way of

  129. the Kingdom of Heaven is. Like, that's good. Chips and salsa,

  130. Praise the Lord. That doesn't offend anybody. Right, come on now,

  131. go to Peru, have some sevice. Come on, now, everybody's blessed. Right,

  132. we go to you know, steak and potatoes, whatever it is,

  133. it's all good, Praise God. So those things we can celebrate.

  134. They're not keeping us from being able to enter in

  135. and live out the fullness of the Kingdom of Heaven.

  136. So that's good, all right. So then who isn't the question?

  137. Who then is the greatest? The second thing that we

  138. could observe here in the question is that there's something

  139. inside of them boiling up about seeking status. Because first

  140. they're looking at who. Okay, I'm checking you out. I'm good,

  141. is good? You all right? Know? The Lord bless your soul.

  142. But great is like, that's what I want. I want

  143. the greatest. And then we can see right that there

  144. is a seeking of status because not just good, not

  145. just awesome, but the greatest right. So there's a there's

  146. a mentality, there's a thought process here that's being revealed

  147. through this question, and so we can see the reflection

  148. of the natural human tendency to compare positions and to

  149. seek status. But I have news to share because many

  150. people work really hard to build a certain kingdom, the

  151. kingdom of religion, the kingdom of my way or the highway,

  152. the kingdom of I know and you don't, the kingdom

  153. of I walk how I walk, and you don't get

  154. in my path because this is what the good old

  155. Lord tell me to do for real. And you're by

  156. yourself in that kingdom. Huh. Come on. So there's all

  157. these kingdoms in the natural realm, but God is not

  158. calling her to be a part of any other kingdom

  159. except the Kingdom of Heaven. So in the Kingdom of

  160. Heaven there is a question, and Jesus is explaining to them.

  161. We could understand that these ideas and the question that

  162. was asked is rooted right on social and religious context

  163. of the time. That they would know that they would differentiate,

  164. They would know by the way that somebody looked and

  165. the clothing that they were worrying where they were, you

  166. know what they believed, right, they can tell, oh, this

  167. is a pharisee, this is a sadducey, these are another

  168. group of people, These are non Jewish people. The different

  169. categories and the different groups right within that region, within

  170. this time. So culturally we can see there's things that

  171. there's markers that help to identify the differences. And again,

  172. so long as those things do not hinder us from

  173. being able to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, those

  174. are all great things come on. And so we see

  175. here the disciples really wanted to find out. They really

  176. wanted to find out if their paradigm, if the way

  177. that they believe the kingdom should be, would fit in

  178. with what God was trying to teach and present about

  179. the Kingdom of Heaven. So on verse two, Jesus calls

  180. the little one in the crowd. There's a little kid

  181. hanging out over there. And Jesus caused the little one

  182. on his side. If you look at the at the

  183. calling out of this kid, of this kid right of

  184. this young person. We don't know if it was a

  185. boy or girl or exact age, but he was a

  186. young person. But in in the original language. When he

  187. calls out the child to come next to him. The

  188. word that he used is talitha. Does that remind you

  189. of a certain story in the Bible, right where there

  190. was where there was a girl that had seesed that

  191. that that that ceased to live, And Jesus said, tita

  192. kumi levan tat okay that the part of that was

  193. not in the Hebrew, that was in Spanish. Rise up, okay, okay,

  194. no more speaking in tongues. So now so we we

  195. so And then even furthermore, it talks about a wounded lamb.

  196. It talks about a wounded lamb, which actually what Jesus

  197. is doing. The first thing that he does when the

  198. question comes to him is he says, hey, little wounded lamb,

  199. come over here. Let me let me place you right

  200. here next to me, because I'm about to present something

  201. that is so powerful, that's so amazing, that's gonna blow

  202. the minds of the people that think they know so

  203. much with something so very simple. Here we go, little

  204. wounded lamb, come right here next to me, Talitha, come

  205. right next to me. And I love that there's such

  206. an invitation because even you and I as sons and

  207. daughters of God. You may not even have a personal

  208. relationship with God, and you're here for the first time.

  209. Guess what Jesus still says, Talitha. He says, wounded lamb,

  210. come to me, and I'm placing you right here next

  211. to me, and you're going to be able to enter

  212. in the Kingdom of Heaven. Wait a minute, how does

  213. the wounded lamb get to be able to skip the line?

  214. I've been here for thirty years. I've been here for

  215. you know, I know this much. And Jesus is like,

  216. wounded lamb, right there, come here, wounded lamb, Come let

  217. me show you about the Kingdom of Heaven. And so

  218. Jesus called the little one to his side. And then

  219. as a kid, think about this. Culturally, this child was

  220. in like a big situation because culturally the children were

  221. not looked on highly. The children were just children and

  222. they were left to be and the social status of

  223. the communities. Kids were just like messing around with stuffed

  224. sheep and helping out and bringing water and doing these things.

  225. But guess what, in this moment, God calls that which

  226. was looked under, that which was looked down upon, to

  227. demonstrate the simplicity and the importance of being and having

  228. child like faith to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

  229. And so as I was saying with with this kid,

  230. he comes up right next to Jesus, and I just

  231. imagine myself as that kid, And I'm like, who me

  232. looking around, you know, like all these people around and Jesus,

  233. the guy that everybody's talking about, the guy that's doing

  234. the miracles, the guys that everybody's there to listen to. Right,

  235. He's like, you're calling me, oh my goodness, but wait,

  236. oh no, there's all these adults that are here, and

  237. they don't they don't think of me highly. They just say,

  238. I'm a kid. They're gonna probably kick me out of here.

  239. Of entering into the kingdom of the simplicity of being

  240. able to get away from your own thought process, get

  241. away from your own paradigm of things that you've built

  242. and you and the enemy has built, and and strongholds

  243. that the enemy has built in your mind to keep

  244. you from being able to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. See,

  245. just because you come to church, it doesn't mean that

  246. you've entered in Just because just because you could sing

  247. a good song, it doesn't mean that you have entered

  248. in just because you feel the hairs on your on

  249. your arms and in your back and whoo, hallelujah. All

  250. that is great, Amen, hallelujah. But that doesn't necessarily mean

  251. that you have entered in. You're experiencing the presence of God,

  252. you're getting to see the presence of God being manifested.

  253. But have you entered in? Well, Jesus called a little

  254. one and and he and he sees the example in him.

  255. And then I came up with this, Like, as I

  256. was reading this, I'm like, Okay, God, So the reason

  257. why the children were not really like considered, you know,

  258. as part of like the social status. The reason specifically

  259. it mentioned is that it's because they didn't really have authority.

  260. They didn't have authority, right, And once I read that,

  261. I was like, Wow, God, I think that's a principle

  262. that we as Christians really need to tap into. So

  263. it's not being like a child, like we're ignorant, like

  264. we don't know what to do, we have no wisdom.

  265. It's not being a child like in that sense, but

  266. it's being like a child in the sense of being vulnerable,

  267. in the sense of being humbled in the sense of

  268. knowing that as a child of God, you have a thought.

  269. Could it be? Could it be that the reason sometimes

  270. that you're experiencing certain things in your life is because

  271. you're acting like you're not a child of God, and

  272. you're acting like you don't have the power of the

  273. living Christ inside of you. Is that because maybe you're

  274. not putting into practice the authority that God bestowed upon

  275. your life. That's just a question that came to me,

  276. and I'm sharing it with you. So in the spirit realm,

  277. when I saw that in the spirit room, I thought, well,

  278. demons don't respect because if there's no authority, if there's

  279. no power, then what are they going to be able

  280. to submit to? They can't You're going to continue on.

  281. In the first century Jewish society, status was often measured

  282. by age, wisdom, or adherence to the law, and so

  283. again children did not fit into the status or that category.

  284. So this young person that Jesus calls out and joins

  285. him embraces vulnerability and humility, revealing to us that your

  286. worth isn't based on your achievements. Your worth is not

  287. based on your achievements. Your worth is based on the

  288. affirmation from the one who's truly significant and has declare

  289. your value and your worth. If you think about it

  290. for yourself, you would never come out of the crowd

  291. and sit next to Jesus. But because, but because you

  292. are truly humble, you receive and you respond to the

  293. calling of the Lord over your life. And you said,

  294. you know what, I'm going to be humble. God has

  295. given me authority. God has given me power. God wants

  296. me to enter into the Kingdom and live out all

  297. of the great things that are from being a part

  298. of the Kingdom. I'm going to be humble. I'm going

  299. to accept that, and I'm going to be raising dead people,

  300. and I'm going to be healing people, and I'm going

  301. to be having a restored marriage, and I'm going to

  302. be having great kids because it's part of being in

  303. the kingdom. So even though culturally children were often not

  304. valued or honored, they were dismissed as insignificance simply because

  305. they lack authority. This child, this child dared to stay

  306. in and be next to Jesus. There was a right

  307. side up way of the Kingdom, the way of this world,

  308. the way of the natural man, and the fallen nature

  309. is the right side down, right or upside down. I'm sorry,

  310. upside down. But in the Kingdom of Heaven is right

  311. side up. And so this uh, this understanding. Jesus called

  312. the young person out and places him where next to him.

  313. Come on, wounded lamb. Wait, but there's there's this big

  314. buffy one over here. There's this you know, there's there's

  315. this one that has a lot of money over here.

  316. Why are you calling out the wounded lamb? Oh? Yeah,

  317. come wounded lamb right here next to me. Receive, receive

  318. the healing, receive the restoration, receive the righteousness that I'm

  319. imputing into you. I'm placing you right here next to

  320. me where you could experience complete healing and restoration, so

  321. that then you can live out everything that I have

  322. set for you in the Kingdom of Heaven. In Verse

  323. three says learn this well. Unless you dramatically change your

  324. way of thinking and become teachable like a child, you

  325. will never be able to enter in. Before anyone there

  326. was thinking about all the different possibilities of their ways

  327. of how to do things, the Lord had to help

  328. them understand by breaking it down and making it simple.

  329. It's okay God does that for us. He loves us

  330. so much that he make sure that we're able to

  331. take it in, that we're able to go from the

  332. very basic basic foundation entering into the Kingdom of heaven.

  333. Unless you dramatically change the way of thinking. You must

  334. realize that just to enter in, you need His thoughts

  335. for you. Just to be able to enter in and

  336. walk out all of the great things that He has

  337. the sign and in his heart and his desire for you, you

  338. need his help. He's so good that we can't even

  339. understand or comprehend the level of goodness unless we have

  340. the Holy Spirit to help us receive so much goodness

  341. in our lives. I just sensed that the Lord was saying,

  342. in order for us to be able to have warrior

  343. like victories from childlike faith, we need to be able

  344. to enter in. We need to be able to lay

  345. aside our paradigms, our way of doing things, and we

  346. need to be able to receive the mind of Christ.

  347. The Bible says in Jeremiah twenty ninety eleven. For I

  348. know the thoughts that I have towards you, declares the

  349. Lord thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give

  350. you a future and a hope. His wonderful thoughts over

  351. us are innumerable. You cannot even count them. There's so many,

  352. so so, so many, so many, so many, and we

  353. need the help of the Holy Spirit. The reason why

  354. I brought up that chart from the very beginning is

  355. because there's hope. The way that we've developed our education system,

  356. the way that we've molded ourselves and made ourselves fit

  357. into the structure of education, even in our country or

  358. the countries you know where we came from, has kept

  359. us from being able to live out the fullness of

  360. what God has called us to do. The reason why

  361. is because we want our kids to hurry up and

  362. grow up, get a job, get a career, go to college,

  363. do all these things. Those are all great things. But

  364. God is calling us to grow up and to promote

  365. into childlike faith, that we would be able to come

  366. at His feet, that we would be able to speak

  367. to him continually, continually, unless you dramatically change the way

  368. you think we need to continually be able to do this,

  369. take every thought captive, like the Bible says, right, He's

  370. able and willing. His thoughts are higher are greater. Verse Corinthians,

  371. chapter two, verse sixteen, it says, for who has known

  372. the mind of the Lord, that he may instruc them.

  373. But we have the mind of Christ. I'm going to

  374. invite you to stand with me today and if you

  375. were to just extend your hands this afternoon, and just

  376. like a child with childlike faith. The reason why these

  377. kids within the age of three to five score so

  378. high in their ability to be considered genius in creativity

  379. is because unlike us, we don't put all the We

  380. put all the excuses, but kids they don't. They hear

  381. the voice of Father saying, hey, you could do this,

  382. and what do they do? They believe it? Would you

  383. believe the Father over your life today? Would you be

  384. bold enough, would you be humble enough to say, Okay, God,

  385. I'll take you at your word. I'll take you at

  386. your word. It doesn't matter what age you you are,

  387. whether you're young, whether you're older, it doesn't matter. From

  388. this very moment, the mind of Christ has been made

  389. available to you and I so that our thoughts are higher,

  390. that our ways are higher. Not way long time from here, no,

  391. right here and right now. You can say, just like

  392. a child with child faith, like you could say, God,

  393. I receive your word. I'll take you at your word.

  394. I'm going to do this. I'm going to conquer the

  395. sin that's trying to put me down. I'm going to conquer.

  396. I'm going to have a great victory over my mind

  397. and the thoughts from the enemy that tell me otherwise.

  398. I'm going to have great victory because your thoughts are higher,

  399. your ways are better, are higher. So therefore my ways

  400. are higher and better. Hallelujah your ways, Hallelujah. He makes

  401. the path straight that you could walk, Thank you Jesus.

  402. Childlike means remaining teachable, humble, vulnerable. Verse four says, whoever
