Let's let's pray over the word. Yeah, you guys all
-
look so good. Man, that what what a fiery like morning.
-
It's already been so good. God is so good. Come on,
-
I feel a real shift and like, uh, like a
-
lot of generation of like energy power, the Holy Ghost
-
anointing in this room. And we're gonna keep that going. Yeah.
-
So Father, we just thank you God that uh, that
-
your word is seed and that you are the one
-
who grows that seed. Father. I pray right now that
-
our soil and our hearts is prepared and ready to
-
take on your word. Lord. Let it be a nourishment
-
to our souls and to our spirits. God and Father,
-
we just uh, we just say that every other distraction
-
outside Lord, God is silenced. Even right now. We just
-
take full authority over those things that want to distract
-
us away from the reading of your word God, and
-
and the enrichment and the invitation that you have for
-
your people today in Jesus's mighty name. Amen. So my
-
sermon title, you guys kind of already saw it. But
-
the sermon title is building an unstoppable life. And that
-
sermon title is that way because the last time that
-
I was up here to preach. I shared with you
-
in the last sermon, which was building a powerful life. Right,
-
was that we shared what responsibility we have over our flesh. Right.
-
I touched on briefly what the weapons of our warfare are,
-
which are mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds. Right.
-
And so we're going to dive deeper into that because
-
last time I told you a few things, like I
-
think it was second SERVI As I said, I got
-
a whole other sermon lined up for that. Okay, So
-
now I have to deliver, right. So God is good.
-
God is good, and he's going through a delivery, right.
-
Are you ready to get your delivery though? All right?
-
So we also learned that the Holy Spirit empowers us
-
through subduing the work of the flesh and also subduing
-
the power of darkness that comes against us. Right today,
-
God wants to equip you guys, the church and me
-
of course right in the area of authority through Jesus
-
right over demonic power in order to build an unstoppable life. Okay,
-
So first I think it would be appropriate that in
-
order for us to get an understanding of what is
-
demonic versus the struggle of the flesh. We need to
-
look at some of the operations of the enemy. We
-
need to look at how the devil, Satan and his
-
minions operate. Right, So let's take a look at some
-
of these scriptures. Ephesians four, verse twenty five through thirty two.
-
Ephesians for It, twenty thirty two. Okay, that's a different version.
-
I'm gonna read it from mine, but you guys can
-
follow on with that one. Okay, I'm reading out of
-
the New King James. But that's a good one. That's
-
pretty straightforward. So stop telling lies, okay, So stop telling lies. Okay. Therefore,
-
putting away lying, Let each one of you speak the
-
truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.
-
Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the
-
sun go down on your wrath. Right, nor give place
-
to the devil.
-
Right.
-
Let him who stole still no longer, but rather let
-
him labor working with his hands. What is good that
-
he may have something to give him who has need.
-
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth. But
-
what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart
-
grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy
-
Spirit of God by whom you were sealed for the
-
day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and
-
evil speaking be put away from you with all malice,
-
and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,
-
even as God in Christ forgave you verse twenty seven.
-
You have that go back verse twenty seven, nor give
-
place to the devil, Nor give place to the devil. Okay,
-
And it's literally a little short verse, all right, Nor
-
for anger gives a foothold to the devil. But here's
-
what he's saying. He's telling us that the operation by
-
which the enemy has is actual working through people. It's
-
actually working through the actions of not non believers in
-
this sense, it's through the believer. He's telling you the
-
operation of Satan and the devil that can work through
-
our actions. He can work through our actions. Right, so
-
we have a responsibility for those right. Okay. Now let's
-
go to tewod Corinthians, Chapter two, verse ten and eleven.
-
I'm gonna give you another example of how the enemy operates.
-
Right now, whom you forgive anything, I also forgive for
-
If indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that
-
one for your sakes in the presence of Christ. Less
-
Satan should take advantage of us, for we are not
-
ignorant of his devices. What devices, laptop, cell phone, iPad? No,
-
he's not talking about those devices, right, He's talking about
-
the operation of the enemy. That when you hold on
-
to unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness, right, the devil deceives us. He
-
works deception into the body of Christ. And it's through
-
our very own responsible actions, whether we forgive or let go.
-
But you don't know what they did to me. I'm sorry,
-
I'd rather not be taking advantage of I'm going to forgive.
-
I'd rather not give a foothold to the devil. It's written,
-
it's the word, right, that's what we're reading. Do you agree?
-
So if we walk in unforgiveness, understand what God is saying. Right,
-
Because you know Satan is the father of lies, right,
-
I can confidently tell you that he was probably the
-
first embittered person too, in all of creation, the first
-
embittered being with bitterness, father of bitterness. I'd probably label
-
him that very confidently. You don't have to hold on
-
to the trespass, it's your responsibility. The enemy likes to
-
work through bitterness in the believer, unforgiveness. So when we
-
hold onto those things, it means that we become blind
-
and ignorant to the devices of the devil through the
-
way that he operates. Holy Spirit through Paul is saying
-
that this is the operation of the enemy, intimidation, manipulation, division, confusion, offenses, defenses.
-
For example, Hey Dennis Man, you know, I probably shouldn't
-
use you as an example. You're too good, all right, Hey,
-
Luke Man, I want you to know. I want you
-
to know, Luke, I want you to know, Luke that
-
on you know that thing that you said to that
-
person man, that wasn't right. No, I love you man.
-
It's his responsibility whether he's going to put up a
-
wall and say that's you don't know what he did
-
to me. You don't know how they treated me. Therefore
-
I do this, and now you're added into the offense list.
-
Now you've also become an enemy. So defenses too, when
-
we justify what our actions are right. Here's another example
-
of Satan's operations two Corinthians eleven four. For if he
-
who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached,
-
or if you receive a different spirit which you have
-
not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted.
-
You may well put up with it. You may well
-
put up with it. There is potential for you to
-
receive teaching, instruction and direction via a spirit. This versus
-
keep it up, and you, who receive it as a
-
Christian can partner with that. Paul even says here that
-
you may well put up with it, meaning that you
-
could be living with this thing influencing you for so
-
long that you may well be thinking in your mind
-
using ice statements about this. This is just who I am.
-
This is just what I'm like. Gregory, And what did
-
pastor Romans say last week? No, you're being rude. You're
-
just being rude. You ain't being You're not being real,
-
You're being rude. This is just who I am. All
-
in the meantime, it's the enemy. This is just who
-
I am. Repeat after me. This is just who I am.
-
This is just how I do. Ain't nobody gonna tell
-
me what to do. I'm big dog. It ain't my
-
fault that they y'all listen, please, let's not fall prey
-
to that. Let's cast the devil out right. Don't put
-
up with deceptive spirits when you start talking like everything
-
that goes against the Bible. If what you're saying to
-
defend yourself doesn't sound like the words out of this
-
book in a legit sense, because people can't take it
-
out of context. If it doesn't sound exactly like Jesus
-
would have said it, we might just want to stop
-
saying those words. We might need to humble ourselves and say,
-
thank you, brother, thank you sister. I don't have to
-
accept the doctrine of demons. I don't have to accept
-
those lives. That is not who I am. Why does
-
everything that I say that that's just how I am,
-
goes against the word. If it's me against the word,
-
I'm wrong, that's the truth. Right. Therefore, you can receive
-
a different spirit that keeps you bound after you've received
-
the spirit of God. That's what Diverse is saying. You
-
may well put up with it. So that's another operation
-
of the enemy. He teaches you through their own culture,
-
through their own philosophies. You can go search a bunch
-
of Google explanations as to why you're so right and
-
everybody else in your church is so wrong. You can
-
go find it. Every excuse in the book as to
-
why you're behaving so nasty. The enemy also has another
-
doctrine too. He deceives churches into thinking that God is
-
in full sovereign control over what happens to their congregation members,
-
the good and the bad. Oh, man, you know, I
-
got this cancer to teach me a lesson. God is good.
-
Lie from hell. That's not what Jesus paid for with
-
his blood. Let's go look at that with the scriptures.
-
Genesis one twenty six, this is what we're talking about.
-
Let us make man. Then, God said, let us make
-
make in an r image according to our likeness. Let
-
them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over
-
the birds of the air, over the cattle, over all
-
the earth, say all the earth, and over every creeping
-
thing that creeps on earth. He gave us dominion. Right.
-
Let's go to Psalm one fifteen, verse sixteen. That heaven,
-
even the heavens, are the Lord's true but the earth
-
he has given to the children of men. In the
-
Passion translation, it says it says here the heavens belong
-
to our God, they are his alone. But he has
-
given us the earth and put us in charge. God's
-
desires is that you would represent the authority of his
-
kingdom on earth, and that the dominion of his son
-
would increase forever, because to his kingdom there will be
-
no end right, and that is only going to be
-
facilitated through you the believer. Amen. But we're gonna continue
-
going somewhere. Right. So we lost authority on earth because
-
of the fall of man through the one Adam who
-
sin and ate of the fruit of the knowledge of
-
the good and evil, and the deceiver came to deceive
-
the woman, and so the husband also ate of the
-
fruit right, and so then he was handed all of
-
the authority that was on Adam and Eve to Satan.
-
But when Jesus came, he authorized the use of his
-
authority by those whom he gave it to. Do you
-
know this? I told you in the last sermon when
-
I was talking about building a powerful life, that Jesus
-
came before the baptisms of the disciples, before the Holy
-
Ghost baptism, he gave them authority. Did I not? Did
-
anybody go look that up? Did you guys already know that? Oh?
-
My word, let's fact check me real quick, Luke nine
-
verses one and two. This is way before the baptism
-
of the Holy Ghost and acts. Right, then he called
-
his twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority
-
over all demons and to cure diseases. Hallelujah. Let's go
-
to Matthew ten, verse one. And when he had called
-
his twelve disciples to him, he gave them power over
-
unclean spirits, to cast them out and to heal all
-
kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. Amen, check
-
this out. I did more research, right, did more research.
-
But wait, there's more. Okay. The word power that is
-
used in Luke nine in the Greek is dunamous. A
-
lot of you know that, right. The word authority here
-
in Luke nine, the word of God says in the
-
Greek is exusiah. It is interesting to note, therefore, that
-
in Matthew chapter ten, the word for power you would
-
have thought it wasnonymous. It's also exusiah in the Greek.
-
Oh oh, wait a minute, wait a minute, come on,
-
come on. So power and authority are co laboring together
-
in us and through us, just like the disciples. Hallelujah.
-
What we're talking about today is exusiah, meaning mastery, delegated
-
influence power and right, like as in your rights, it
-
is your right to stay silent. Yeah, but you know
-
what I'm saying, it's your rights. Okay, you have rights right,
-
right or okay, you have rights right, strength over the
-
demonic and all type of disease. Now we have defined
-
what authority is Exuziah right. So that is what Jesus
-
gave to the believers. Let's read further into the New Testament.
-
Now Ephesians chapter six, verse twelve. We're all familiar with this. Right.
-
I got to wake up in the morning, put on
-
the armor of God, child of God. You gotta do it.
-
But it says here, for we say we do not
-
wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
-
against the rulers. Places right paston false humility type of
-
gospel will get the believer killed. God does not want
-
us to neglect his word. I say this because the
-
next portion of scripture we're going to read together came
-
came before what we just read. It's in Two Corinthians twelve,
-
seven and ten. Paul has to live this out in
-
real time verse seven. Unless I should be exalted above
-
measured by the abundance of revelations. A thorn in the flat, say,
-
in the flesh was given to me a messenger of Satan,
-
to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Next,
-
concerning this thing, I pleaded with the Lord three times
-
that it might depart from me, And he said to me,
-
read with me, My grace is sufficient for you. For
-
my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, most gladly,
-
I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power
-
of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure
-
in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses.
-
He's listening a whole bunch of negative things right there,
-
right for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then
-
I am strong. Let's go back to what God said
-
in verse nine. My gris charis for us English speakers. Okay,
-
uh cas, you like that Greek Greek accent thing? Thing? Yeah?
-
Got that, got that down? Kay? Is our kao for
-
you sufficient? What does that mean? You may ask? Good thing?
-
I got the answer. Grace is the power of God
-
in operation. Let's break it down because we're always taught
-
that grace means unearned favor or unmerited favor right. We
-
always hear that grace is this charis is this chras is.
-
Our chao by Biblical word use means to be possessed
-
of unfailing strength, to be strong, sufficient, to be enough
-
to defend ward off. Are chao by definition in the
-
strongs is akin to meaning a relative of right, a
-
row to take up, to take away, lift up in
-
case you're falling right and loose you. Likewise, our kao
-
means to raise up a barrier against or in the
-
proper use ward off. This then explains that God's response
-
to Paul is meant to be understood in such a
-
way like this. The grace that I have put in
-
you is able to loose you, and through it you
-
may ward off the messenger of Satan, stop asking me
-
for something that I am commanding you to do. When
-
that revelation hit him, because it's in read letters, it
-
said that God spoke to him basically directly right when
-
the revelation hit him, all of the sudden, he's like, Yo,
-
guess what, Corinthians, here's what I just found out That
-
the grace that He deposited into us is able to
-
make us free too. Guess what else? It showed them
-
speaking of humility. In that verse, it showed them that
-
even though this man has seen the Third Heaven, he said,
-
lest I should be exalted above measure. Jason, I'm not
-
exempt from spiritual warfare. And I'm an apostle too, I'm
-
not exempt from the enemy. Come in to buffet me.
-
And if you look up what buffet means, he literally
-
was slamming him down. You are engaged in spiritual warfare,
-
whether you like it or not. Welcome to the conversation.
-
That's the truth of that portion of scripture. He had
-
to learn it in real time and wrote it to him.
-
Second Corinthians was written between fifty five and fifty six AD.
-
Ephesians was written where we get the Armor of God
-
sixty to sixty two AD, meaning within a five to
-
seven year period. He's on YouTube live sending broadcasts every
-
day going, hey, guys, listen, I think I'm starting to
-
figure this thing out with that whole thing that keeps
-
happening to me spiritually, the whole thing that keeps pushing
-
me down, and all of a sudden, I'm falling over.
-
Guess what. It's a messenger of Satan. Welcome to the conversation,
-
y'all put on the whole armor of God, because we've
-
wrestled not against flesh and blood. So in five to
-
seven years of him going live, writing forever, I'm sure
-
you know, sending out letters boom boom boom boomom, I'm
-
trying to train you up. I'm trying to give you something.
-
God's trying to deposit something into the church that's for
-
us today right now. It's an invitation. Right So he's
-
telling us listen, I figured out what the problem was.
-
This is the enemy we're fighting. This is how we fight,
-
and this makes us unstoppable. His grace in operation is
-
power and authority. My grace is sufficient for you. My
-
grace is sufficient for you. Say, his grace is sufficient
-
for me. Let's read more about this grace Romans, with
-
this thought now in mind, right now that we broke
-
it down, Romans, Chapter five, verse seventeen. For if by
-
one man's offense, death reign through the one much more,
-
those who receive abundance of grace and the gift of
-
righteousness will not could will? Did you? Those who receive
-
abundance of grace, The word is received. Now come on,
-
now there's action to be taken right, there's action to
-
be taken right. Will reign in life through the one
-
Jesus Christ. How's the reign of Jesus effective in my life?
-
I'll answer you through his grace, which is sufficient for me. James.
-
Chapter four, verse six and seven is widely used. Let's
-
read it with this understanding. But he gives more grace
-
whoa Therefore, he says, God resists the proud, but gives
-
grace to the humble. Therefore, submit to God, resist the devil,
-
and he will flee from you. What is submitting to
-
God look like? First off, he shot God. He said,
-
I pleaded with God three times, he prayed right, he
-
humbled himself before God. Then God gave the answer. Graema,
-
the living word just hit him. He's like he's made
-
a deposit. I have authority. You know why it's important
-
that Paul said that because he wasn't in the twelve
-
or the seventy that received the authority in Luke and Matthew.
-
So he had to learn it a different way, Rosina.
-
Just like you and me, we have to receive arima
-
from God Almighty. This is the entirety of Paul's life
-
struggle with the thorn in the flesh. He shows us
-
that apostles were not exempt right from warfare. God told him,
-
I gave you authority, use it. I gave you power
-
over use it. The thorn in his flesh was about
-
telling people that although he could boast about himself like
-
other false apostles, this is like three three He wrote
-
like three chapters before this, all about it. He's arguing
-
his points, He's telling them what he's done, what he's
-
come to, what's what has happened to him. He saw
-
the third heaven right because people generally generally don't look
-
like to don't like to look bad in public. And
-
yet he says, lest I should be exalted in your eyes.
-
No demonic's messenger was sent to me by Satan to
-
attack me. The devil will take that same doctrine and
-
tell you that it was the will of God that
-
that happened to him in order to discredit Paul's humility.
-
But instead we got pearls of wisdom and truth that
-
were given to us by the revealing of the Holy Spirit.
-
All the tools that we have to unlock the scriptures
-
are given to us. My grace is sufficient for you.
-
The devil is a liar. Therefore, first John four four says,
-
but he gives more. No, you are of God little
-
children and have overcome them, because He who is in
-
you is greater than he who is in the world.
-
Mm hmmm. I'm gonna leave you with these, with this
-
last verse, and then I'm gonna tell you a story. Ready,
-
So I want you to get this. We need to
-
get this because we have a responsibility over all of
-
the promises of God that Jesus paid for in his
-
blood right Ephesians three twenty, widely known, widely used. Let's
-
slow it down Ephesians three twenty. Now to him who
-
is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we think,
-
we ask, or think right, according to the power that
-
works in us. He is able to do according to
-
the power that works in us. He gave man dominion
-
and authority over earth. Right. When Jesus left, he said,
-
I will send you another, and you will also have dominion. Right.
-
And God said about his son that his kingdom will
-
have no end, there will be no end to his
-
reign when he comes. Right, you are the one who
-
guarantees that the authority and dominion of the kingdom of
-
heaven gross and the enemy wants to stop that. Right.
-
Let me tell you a story now you're ready, okay. So,
-
so there I was in the jungles of Ecuador. Okay,
-
that's not how the story. That's not how the story goes.
-
No no, no, no, that's not the story. Okay, okay, look, okay, okay,
-
so okay, So so I'm gonna give you two short stories. Okay.
-
First short story, listen, while I was preparing this sermon.
-
While I was preparing this sermon this week, I had
-
like a few sick people around me. Dennis. I was like,
-
they're sick, they're coughing, hacking up. Man, they don't look
-
you know, it's not looking too good.
-
Right.
-
And then after my lunch, I go and I'm sitting
-
down and I'm and I'm just like meditating on what
-
what I'm going to uh, what I'm going to be
-
sharing with the body, right, And I knew it had
-
to do with this. All of a sudden, I start
-
meditating on those things, Zach.
-
They're coughing, hacking up, they're sick, they don't look too good.
-
I hugged one of them because I'm a hugger, you know.
-
And then all of a sudden, Craig, it was, it
-
was weird. It was my sinuses start to swell up
-
in here, fill up real bad. I feel it around
-
my eye and I'm feeling my throat starts to hurt
-
a little bit, in itch a little bit. And I'm like,
-
and this is all my thoughts. I haven't even spoken,
-
and I'm meditating or what I perceive are my thoughts? Right?
-
What did you catch that? What I perceive are my
-
thoughts sounds just like me supposedly. But here I am
-
preparing a message about authority. I'm gonna let you into
-
my brain. You ready, How am I supposed to preach?
-
If I sound like garbage on Sunday? Yeah, I said,
-
the devil is a liar. I command you to get
-
off of my body right now, in the name of Jesus.
-
I said, you are going to leave my body right now. Body,
-
you are well. Body, you are well, in the name
-
of Jesus. So there I am pacing back there, and
-
I'm like, no, no, no, yeah, I know for a
-
fact that by his stripes I was healed. I start
-
praying in tongues down starting, I keep praying tongues. My
-
wife walks by me. She's like, scold you, well, you
-
are right, you pray. I'm like, mmm, I'm tearing this
-
thing up. I'm tearing this thing up. I'm not accepting
-
no lies. I'm not accepting sickness because he just told
-
me it's grace. He's sufficient for me. I have power
-
and authority over this thing. It will not have me.
-
Within an hour, all of it was gone, drank a
-
glass of water, Everything was flushed. I didn't want it.
-
I don't receive it. It has to leave. In the
-
name of Jesus, you bind it. Devil is a liar woo.
-
Two years in a row, I was going through sinus
-
issues and I was like leaking all over, like maybe
-
years ago, maybe about three years maybe two years ago.
-
Was the last time that I happened, maybe three or
-
two years whatever. Don't quote me, quote me on what happened.
-
So I'm taking these antihistamines every night because I need
-
to be able to breathe that night without coughing, so
-
I can have enough sleep, so I can go to
-
work and I can do the thing that I need
-
to do. So I'm sitting there and I'm holding this
-
pill in my hand. You know, my dear wife's on
-
the other side of the bed and before were going
-
to bed, and she's like, well, it's just what you
-
have to take. No condemnation to anybody, by the way,
-
this is just what happened. Okay, these testimonies are given
-
for a reason. I looked at this pill and I said,
-
I'm not I didn't throw it or nothing. Okay, you
-
can use your I didn't throw it. I was very
-
upset though, I'm not taking this pill for the rest
-
of my life. I refuse to do this. Every single
-
I said, body, you are well. In the name of Jesus.
-
You are a native person to the land of Washington State.
-
All pollins have no power over you. Over my lungs,
-
they are cleared up in Jesus' name. All sinus pressure
-
go in Jesus' name. And I just started speaking life
-
into my own cells, into my own lungs, into my
-
own sinuses. I said, you are well. I went to
-
sleep that night, walk up the next day. Didn't need nothing.
-
Since then, still don't take nothing. The devil is a liar.
-
The devil is a liar. Be careful with the shackles
-
that he tries to make you wear. The apostles weren't exempt.
-
Neither will we. But guess what grace, Oh his grace,
-
Glory to God. Your grace is sufficient, it's sufficient. Your
-
caress is our chao for me. Hallelujah. Come on, He's
-
so perfect, he's so good. Some of y'all came here today,
-
maybe expecting to receive from the Lord. Did the word
-
come alive? Put it into practice? There was a moment
-
where I'm sorry, I'm going way over. I'm so sorry,
-
pastor doing I love you, I'm so sorry. There was
-
a moment where the apostles couldn't cast the devil out
-
with this kid, and they said, they said, Lord, how
-
come we could not? And you know the whole story.
-
Everybody tries to tell you, this kind doesn't come out
-
except for by fasting and prayer, prayer and fasting. But
-
what did he answer them at the end, because of
-
your unbelief? What did he say first when they brought
-
him the boy with the two disciples and he was
-
still demonized, and the father was there, Oh, ye of
-
little faith, This kind doesn't come out except for by
-
prayer and fasting. Prayer and fasting casts out unbelief.
-
Okay, thank you God, for your deposit today.
-
If you're receiving this right now, just stand up. If
-
you're receiving this right now, just stand up. So I
-
thank you God. And if you felt like you neglected
-
that you neglected this portion of the word, just repent
-
where you're at. So, Lord, I'm so sorry that I
-
neglected this part of your word. Father, Would you increase
-
my faith? Help my unbelief. God, I rebuke the devil now,
-
I say, liars, shut up. Go in the name of Jesus. Bondage,
-
go in the name of Jesus. Distraction, go in the
-
name of Jesus. Father. I thank you God, Oh Holy Spirit,
-
Oh Holy Spirit of God. Thank you that you are
-
the grace in me. Yeah. Chains be broken in the
-
name of Jesus. Addiction is broken in the name of Jesus.
-
Character deficiencies broken in the name of Jesus. And power us, God,
-
empower your people. Disease be broken now in the name
-
of Jesus. Viruses be broken now in the name of Jesus.
-
Thank you God for teaching us warfare in this house.
-
I thank you God that you train us for battle.
-
I thank you that you arm us with everything from heaven.
-
God and that Heaven accompanies our words over ourselves. In
-
the name of Jesus, we praise you, Lord, We praise
-
you Holy One HM in jesus mighty name, we give
-
you honor, glory, praise to the King in Jesus' name. Amen,
