  1. Holy Spirit.

  2. We just thank you for your presence, thank you for

  3. your ministry to us already. Thank you for the way

  4. you care for us, the revelation of Jesus in our

  5. midst thank you for the nearness of your word. We

  6. welcome you right now to just take us deeper in you,

  7. take us deeper in the sweetness of relationship with you,

  8. with the Father, with the Son and Jesus' name. Everybody said, Amen,

  9. you may be seated. Allelujah. I want to dive into

  10. some stuff about prayer this morning and just to help

  11. us grow a little bit in our ability to prayer,

  12. our ability in prayer, our ability to pray. So because

  13. this is so vital. Prayer is so vital. Prayer is

  14. that communion with Father UH through the Holy Spirit. Right,

  15. we access Father through Jesus UH. And it's UH. It's

  16. the most important thing that we do as believers. It's

  17. the most important thing that we're called to His believers.

  18. So we're called UH to lead our families well, we're

  19. called to love well, we're called UH into honesty and

  20. upright living. But everything, you know, everything that we could name,

  21. actually flows out of a prayer.

  22. It flows out of our.

  23. Communion with God, much like much like, Oh, I don't know,

  24. I just I.

  25. Just want you to see that we feed.

  26. On Him, that we are, you know, he said over Israel,

  27. he said, at one point he said, open your mouths

  28. wide and I will fill them. And the picture in

  29. that passage was the picture of a baby bird. Open

  30. your mouth wide and I will fill. I will feed right. Uh.

  31. And And the the approach that we have to him

  32. for that very thing is first of all, in prayer.

  33. It's in prayer.

  34. And historically, historically Abraham knew this, Israel knew this, Judah

  35. knew this. The focus of our we are of our

  36. month is Daniel. Daniel knew this.

  37. Uh.

  38. And And there was a habit of prayer, like a

  39. prayer habit that was developed with the righteous. Right, there

  40. was a prayer habit developed where they would seek the Lord.

  41. And this was so common that it was called the

  42. hour of prayer.

  43. Uh.

  44. Yeah, you know, we're trying to McMuffin everything. You know,

  45. we're trying to we're trying to you know, we're trying

  46. to get get.

  47. McDonald's franchised in the church. Right. Uh.

  48. So everything, everything should be drived through, right, everything should

  49. be and even you know, even in our region, we

  50. have plenty of churches doing the MC church. You know

  51. thing they want one hour church. People want one hour church.

  52. I don't know what that was. I don't know what

  53. that is that mean? Does that mean hello? Does it

  54. mean you think that's me? I don't think it's mean Okay,

  55. But but prayer. Throughout history, prayer with God, a time

  56. with God was known as the hour of prayer. Prayer

  57. was known as the hour of prayer, and even in

  58. Acts chapter three, we're familiar, super familiar with this passage.

  59. In Acts chapter three, it says that Peter and John

  60. were going to the temple for.

  61. The hour of prayer.

  62. And that's where you know, that's where they came across

  63. the lame Man, and that's where they said, silver and

  64. gold we don't have We've heard that sermon a thousand times.

  65. You heard that sermon a thousand times, anybody, but pay

  66. attention to pay attention to where they were going. They

  67. were going to the House of the Lord for the

  68. hour of prayer. Did you hear the word hour? Heard

  69. stone it? What time is it? When you think about

  70. the hour of prayer, it's it's too thirty. No, No,

  71. that's when you go to the dentist. When you go

  72. to the dentist, it's two thirty when you the you know,

  73. the hour of prayer, the hour of prayer. Can we

  74. give up an hour for him? Can we can? We

  75. can we enter in to the spirit for an hour?

  76. Can we can we invest in him for an hour?

  77. The only way he can invest in us is if

  78. we invest in him. The only way he can invest

  79. in the world is if we invest in him. The

  80. avenue of prayer, it's the conduit of the spirit. If

  81. I if I don't flip on the brake. I got

  82. a big old electrical panel in my house, and I'm

  83. transmitting two hundred amps through that thing. And you know,

  84. I mean, we got lots going on in our place, right.

  85. I get the letters from the power company telling me

  86. you've exceeded all of your neighbors by you know, fifty percent,

  87. you know, and they, you know, they want to they

  88. want to regulate me, they want to throttle me down, right.

  89. But I got to have those breakers on. I've got

  90. to there's got to be conduit of electricity flowing. If

  91. I don't have that on, then there's no power distributed

  92. to my house, and prayer is where we activate those breakers.

  93. We have to activate those breakers because it's prayer that

  94. allows the power to come through the conduit into my

  95. life so that I can receive from God. And I'm

  96. receiving wisdom. I'm receiving revelation. I'm receiving the Word says

  97. that Luke A. Levin says that his word is seed.

  98. So I'm receiving these thoughts, these words, these revelations, they're

  99. coming in seed form. So if I'll receive them, then

  100. they'll give me the power to activate something bigger than

  101. what they were when they came.

  102. The harvest on.

  103. What I'm receiving is going to be bigger than what

  104. I'm receiving because I've positioned myself to receive, and I'm

  105. receiving seeds downloads words from God, and those words empower

  106. me to know how to live, to know what to do.

  107. I don't even know what to do. Without that breaker

  108. flipped on and that conduit flowing and those words were coming,

  109. I don't even know what to do. And I don't

  110. I don't want the satisfaction of a dwayne led life.

  111. I don't want the satisfaction of a flesh led life.

  112. I don't want the satisfaction of the limitations that are

  113. on me outside of him, because there my whole life

  114. is just framed with limitation and smallness. If I don't

  115. tap into him, if I don't flip those breakers on

  116. through prayer and allow him and get him and embrace

  117. him and welcome him to flow into my life. And

  118. it's not going to happen in five minutes. Who turns

  119. on the power and and and you know, the toastakes

  120. about three minutes. Who's on the power and gets the

  121. toast popped? And no jelly at this time of the year,

  122. and get those cinnamon rolls out of the kitchen.

  123. No jelly, no jelly.

  124. But you know, a little peanut butter of salt, no

  125. sugar in that peanut butter can have a But who

  126. does that and then goes to the panel and turns

  127. the breaker off? Well, that was enough for today. We're

  128. done with that. We got a little nurishment. No, we

  129. want more than a little nursehment. We want a fullness

  130. of joy. We want a fullness of wisdom, We want

  131. a fullness of understanding.

  132. Right, and so it was known as the hour of prayer.

  133. And this is the model of Jesus for us in

  134. Matthew twenty six. This is on the night that he

  135. was betrayed. And Jesus was always in prayer, always in prayer,

  136. daily for a time with God in prayer. He didn't

  137. live in prayer. He lived with access to God through prayer.

  138. But he didn't live in prayer. He lived eating, he

  139. lived walking, he lived doing all sorts of stuff. Right,

  140. there was all sorts of stuff going on. So, and

  141. if you watch the Chosen Boy, how did they had

  142. a lot of walking to do? Hello, somebody? They had

  143. busy lives, lots going on. But Jesus began his day

  144. in prayer. Isaiah fifty says Isaiah, I was gonna have

  145. it for you, but I don't. But Isaiah's fifty says,

  146. you awaken my ear every morning. You awaken my ear

  147. every morning. It's a messianic passage talking about him.

  148. Uh.

  149. And so Jesus was up in the morning, and this

  150. is where they would go to find him. They would

  151. go to find him in the morning. They would find

  152. him in prayer. They would know he would be off

  153. in prayer. Because that's before cell phone service was. Cell

  154. phone service doesn't come on till seven. Well, in those days,

  155. in those days, Comcast and AT and G, Broadcom, T Mobile, Sprint, Brison,

  156. none of it came on until seven am. So he

  157. was up before, he was up before interruption. Now this

  158. is important. It's important because this is the picture is

  159. friendship covenant. The friendship isn't were. The picture is not slavery.

  160. We aren't slaves the picture John fifteen, I no longer

  161. call you slaves. I call you friends. It's covenant terminology.

  162. We're brought near like Abraham was. We're brought near like

  163. Enoch was. We're brought near like David was. We're brought

  164. near into the bosom of Father. We're brought near into

  165. the presence of God through prayer. And there he shares

  166. with this what's going on. He shares with us what

  167. he's up to, He shares with us what he wants

  168. to do. He leads us and gives us direction. He

  169. is And one of the words we don't have up

  170. here is he is our shepherd. He is our shepherd.

  171. I think it's Jehovah Rowa, the Lord, our shepherd, Jehovah

  172. row Aw. So this is what he's doing, right, and

  173. so all of this is going on, and it's hard

  174. to do all of that in five, ten, fifteen minutes.

  175. It's hard to do all of that with our cell

  176. phone buzzing, with all the distractions, with everything going on,

  177. with our phone ringing. So the first fruits of our day,

  178. which is the best part of our day, the first

  179. fruits of our day, the best part of our day,

  180. is the part that we set up part under him

  181. before everything else starts getting our attention. Here in Matthew

  182. twenty six, it's the night he's betrayed, And here he

  183. also refers to the hour of prayer, and he goes

  184. into the garden and he's praying, and he's praying, let

  185. this cup pass from me verse thirty nine. And he

  186. brought three of the disciples into the inner part of

  187. the garden with him, and so they're there with him,

  188. and he says, would you watch and pray with me?

  189. And he comes back and they're sleeping. He came back

  190. verse forty and found them sleeping. You ever fallen asleep praying?

  191. Oh boy, thank you Jesus for the bean, not the

  192. pento bean, the coffee bean. Thank you Lord for the

  193. coffee bean. Right, So, because I'm so guilty of falling

  194. asleep many times when I'm trying to press into prayer.

  195. And so I've needed the holy bean, the roasted bean,

  196. the ground bean, to rescue me. And he came to

  197. the disciples and found them sleeping. He said to Peter,

  198. so you men could not keep watch with me one hour,

  199. keep watching and praying. So he's been gone an hour,

  200. he's been gone from them an hour. He comes back,

  201. he finds them sleeping. He says, keep watching and keep

  202. praying with me. He's exhorting them, that he's exhorting them,

  203. that he needs them.

  204. This is interesting.

  205. He's exhorting them that he needs them to stand with him,

  206. and that he's brought these three, the inner three, the

  207. close three, the inner circle. He's brought them into the

  208. depths of the garden with him. And then he exhorts them.

  209. He says that the spirit is willing, but the flesh

  210. is weak.

  211. The flesh is.

  212. Always going to make up now, uh uh. No matter

  213. how many times you've been to the altar, no matter

  214. how no matter how many times you've been through deliverance, ah,

  215. no matter how many times you've been to church, your

  216. flesh is going to be weak. Your flesh is the

  217. weak link. Your flesh is going to have excuses. You're

  218. gonna fly, Your flesh is going to start thinking about food.

  219. Your flesh is going to be drawn away. Your flesh

  220. is going to struggle.

  221. Uh.

  222. You, Your flesh might want to fall asleep. Your flesh

  223. might move into boredom. Uh, your flesh might and other

  224. people's flesh might interrupt your flesh. And he doesn't even say,

  225. He doesn't even say the spirit is willing, but the

  226. sin about you is weak.

  227. He didn't say that. He didn't say the sin about

  228. you is weak.

  229. He's talking about your earth suit. He's talking about your

  230. earth suit. That your earth suit doesn't get it, so

  231. you got to get it. For your earth suit, you've

  232. got to discipline your earth suit.

  233. You have to lead your earth suit. You have to

  234. be in charge of your earth suit. You have to.

  235. Govern your earth suit. If you don't discipline this earth suit,

  236. you can't move into the delight of the Spirit and

  237. the delight of partaking of Him and from him. The

  238. only way we delight in partaking of him and from

  239. him is we have to discipline our earth suit. We

  240. have to bring it under subjection. And he actually said

  241. you know, watching Bray. What he was trying to say

  242. is he was trying to say, stand up. You know,

  243. if you lay around, you're gonna If you're reclining as

  244. you sleep, you're setting yourself up for a good slumber

  245. right there, right, don't recline as you sleep. So he's

  246. trying to give them wise instruction that, two thousand years

  247. later is still wise instruction. And the calling that he

  248. needs us, the calling that we are companions, the calling

  249. that we're partners, the calling that we co labor with him,

  250. the calling that we fit into everything that he's up to,

  251. is still real today. And the calling that we would

  252. spend an hour with him is still real today.

  253. It's still real today.

  254. There's nothing more powerful you could do over your marriage.

  255. Nothing more powerful you could do over your business. Nothing

  256. more powerful you could do over your children. Nothing more

  257. powerful you could do over your future. Nothing more powerful

  258. you could do over your investments. Nothing more powerful you

  259. could do over your appetites. Nothing more powerful you could

  260. do over you name it. There's nothing more powerful you

  261. could do than spend time with him in prayer. Nothing

  262. more powerful, nothing more And even today we have to

  263. examine our hearts, right like, am I into this? Am

  264. I doing this Daniel thing? Am I? Am I kind

  265. of diving into it? Am I partaking a little bit?

  266. Am I spending any time with the Lord? Am I

  267. sharpening my time? Is this a time where I can

  268. offer a first fruits under him? For twenty twenty six?

  269. Well? Not really.

  270. I mean we have to really kind of examine ourselves

  271. and ask, Okay, then, do I really.

  272. Trust the Lord?

  273. Is the Lord just fire insurance for me, like eternal

  274. fire insurance? But knowing him, hearing from him, being led

  275. by him is really not that important. It's that it's

  276. really not that big of a deal. Not really, it's

  277. not really what I want. I want to lead my

  278. life and just have the cherry if you turn the

  279. life on top. I still want to be in charge,

  280. you know, for the most part, I really want to

  281. be in charge. I really trust me mainly. I mean,

  282. we have to ask this question, do I really trust him?

  283. Because if we're not marking out time for the development

  284. of this relationship with him, it's not slavery, it's friendship,

  285. it's covenant. He wants to share with us the depth

  286. of his heart. He wants to reveal to us what's

  287. on his heart. He wants to lead us into insight,

  288. wisdom and blessing beyond our understanding and lift the limit

  289. of our lives. But if we if we don't, really,

  290. if we're not pursuing him in that, we really have

  291. to ask the deep question, how come I'm not what's

  292. my hang up? What's my hindrance? What's my problem? What's

  293. my roadblock? What's the source of that roadblock?

  294. Right?

  295. We got to ask that question because it's costing us

  296. more than we realize. It's costing us so much. Whatever

  297. it is, I don't know what it is. I don't

  298. know if it's pride. I don't know if it's you know,

  299. just a sour you know, a sourness. I don't know

  300. if it's unresolved disappointment. I don't know if it's a

  301. doubt or unbelief or or what you know, what we

  302. perceived God did for Aunt Sally and Uncle Bob, you know,

  303. and you know, if that's all he could do, I

  304. really I'm okay without it. I don't know what it is,

  305. But we have to resolve that. We have to look

  306. at our lives and really resolve that because we're missing

  307. out on the most important thing in the whole entire world.

  308. H h.

  309. Kah. I want to talk a little bit about when

  310. we pray and as we pray, and how we pray,

  311. what that looks like, and how do we enter in UH,

  312. and how do we how do we make how do

  313. we make what we're doing even better?

  314. Right?

  315. How do we make it better? I think on the

  316. other side of desiring to pray UH, desiring to to

  317. really press in and to know him more. On on

  318. the other side of that, there's the frailty that he

  319. talked about there, the frailty of our earth suit, and

  320. the frailty of our thought life, and the frailty of

  321. busyness that and maybe the frailty of knowledge, just the

  322. lack of knowledge where you know, we're five minutes into

  323. our daily prayer and we're kind of feeling done, We're

  324. kind of feeling or seven minutes in or ten minutes in,

  325. or twelve minutes in or fifteen minutes in or twenty

  326. minutes in, and we're kind of feeling like we've kind

  327. of tapped out. And so I want to I want

  328. to address that a little bit by encouraging.

  329. Us in.

  330. Knowing how to sustain that intimacy so that it is richer,

  331. so that it's better, so that it goes deeper, so

  332. that it's.

  333. More than just.

  334. Remember when you were thirteen and you held hands for

  335. the first time. Remember that, and that was that was

  336. a really big deal. How old were you when you

  337. held hands for the first time?

  338. One twenty one?

  339. Oh, there's holy people in the front row, Holy people

  340. in the front row. Thank you, Pastor Dennis. Of course

  341. he started kissing at thirteen, but holding hands, I mean

  342. that was that was later.

  343. That was later.

  344. The Lord wants our intimacy to be a little deeper

  345. than just holding hands, right, So and we we do this.

  346. We understand this by looking at the model prayer. And

  347. Jesus gave us the model prayer in Matthew chapter six,

  348. and it starts, the model prayers starts this way, our Father,

  349. who are in heaven hell, it would be thy name, right.

  350. So he's answering the question from the disciples, the disciples,

  351. and he's all of chapter six talking about prayer. Up

  352. to that point, he's talking about prayer, he's getting inside

  353. on prayer, understanding about prayer, he's teaching them about prayer.

  354. And then he.

  355. Gets to this point where he says, after this manner, pray,

  356. pray like this, embrace prayer like this. Now we know

  357. that this is an outline because you can pray it

  358. in thirty seconds. Right, wow, So he would have never

  359. given us a prayer to that we could pray in

  360. thirty seconds when everybody knew that prayer.

  361. Is an hour.

  362. Talk about it. And when he has acknowledged that when

  363. you tarry with him, he would like you to tarry

  364. for an hour. And even when he went in to

  365. meet with father, even though it only tells us one

  366. sentence of the prayer, we know he was gone for

  367. an hour. And so when he gave us this outline,

  368. he wasn't saying, guys, here's the deal. Just pray this

  369. and you're done.

  370. That's good. It'll take you about thirty seconds a day,

  371. and you'll be good. You'll have it.

  372. He was giving us an outline for prayer. And if

  373. we follow this outline, or we look into it, or

  374. we build upon it, and we see the purpose in

  375. it and the richness of it, then we can develop

  376. an hour of prayer. And when we begin to develop

  377. this out and it takes a little bit of time,

  378. by the way, but when we begin to develop out

  379. a little richer running after him in prayer, the richness

  380. of the spirit begins to overflow in our lives in

  381. a beautiful way.

  382. So he starts this way because this has.

  383. Been This is like the way you start, right. And

  384. I want to tell you that because this is the

  385. way Daniel would have started. This is the way David

  386. would have started. This is the way in the tent

  387. of Zion. This is the way they would have started.

  388. And we've got all these verses and psalms that tell

  389. us very much insight, parallel insight about this is the

  390. way you start. You, as you draw near to God

  391. in prayer, you start by hallowing his name ps Psalm

  392. ninety five two. Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving.

  393. Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving. Let us

  394. make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise.

  395. How am I going to come into his presence? I

  396. don't want to come into his presence with petition. I

  397. don't want to come into his presence with complaint. I

  398. don't want to come into his presence with discouragement. I'm

  399. not afraid of that. He's not afraid of that. We

  400. don't have some riff in our relationship. But the wise

  401. way to approach him, the wise way to approach him

  402. is to come into his presence with thanksgiving. Come in

  403. to his presence hallowing his name, Psalm one hundred, verse three.

  404. And for enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts

  405. with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.

  406. Praise his name. For the Lord is good, and his

  407. love endures forever, his faithfulness continuous role generations Psalm in

  408. eighteen nineteen. Open for me the gates of the righteous.

  409. I will enter and give thanks to the Lord. This

  410. is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous

  411. may enter. I will give you thanks for you have

  412. answered me. What is the gate that we the righteous injury?

  413. What is the gate?

  414. The gate the righteous enters through. Is the gate of thanksgiving.

  415. It's the gate of honor. It's the gate of sanctifying

  416. his name. It's the gate of setting apart his name.

  417. It's the name of It's the gate of amplifying his name,

  418. bringing glory, bringing honor, bringing and making his name Halload.

  419. Halload is sanctified. The word Holload is holy, our fatherhood

  420. art in heaven. Holy is your name sanctified? Is your

  421. name special? Is your name set apart? Is your name unique?

  422. Is your name.

  423. Unbelievable? Is your name inscrutable? Is your name sufficient? Is

  424. your name? Right? Now? This is how we enter it.

  425. Yeah, if you care to, you can blow through thirty

  426. minutes on point number one of the outline of prayer

  427. and have barely scratched the surface. But by entering in

  428. through that gate of hallowing his name, where are you entering.

  429. You're entering the course of God. You're ascending a It's

  430. an act of ascension. You're going to come right up

  431. into the very glory of his throne. With hallowing his name,

  432. with blessing him, with worshiping him, with lifting up his name.

  433. It's going to.

  434. Take you from Fife to Wallop, Federal Way, Algona.

  435. Pacific, Gig Harbor Park.

  436. London, Mid London. It's going to take you from where

  437. you're at right into the very throne of God. It

  438. is the gate that we open, and it's the first

  439. thing we do. As we build an altar daily, building

  440. an alder daily, we're offering ourselves. We're saying today I

  441. want to live on the altar. Well, you live on

  442. the altar you build, and you build the altar in prayer,

  443. and the first part of prayer is we enter in

  444. with thanksgiving, hallowing his name. Now, I wanted to bring

  445. attention to his name today because here's what he's done

  446. in his name, is that he revealed his name as Yahweh.

  447. Now that's kind of the best we can say. We

  448. say Yahweh because there's no vowels in the Hebrew. So

  449. Yahweh in the Hebrew there's no vowels. We've added vowels.

  450. We've added vowels so that we can understand potentially how

  451. to say his name. He's not offended that we've added vowels.

  452. Then we've transliterated the Hebrew into the English, and so

  453. we would say Jehovah, or we would say Jehovah. We

  454. tend to in our transliteration. We tend to say the

  455. why as a ja. So where where in the Hebrew

  456. or Hebrew speakers would say Jehovah, or like here, Jehovah girah.

  457. Have you heard that before? Where we would say Jehovah Girah.

  458. We sang about it when I was young, Jehovah Jiroh.

  459. My provider is great, is sufficient?

  460. For me right.

  461. Remember that, well, we were sounding like Americans. We were

  462. sounding in our transliteration because the Hebrew way to say

  463. it would be Jehovah youuay, because the J sounds like

  464. a y Jehovah youiray. He's not offended, however, you might say,

  465. this Holy Spirit can handle your poor pronunciations as he

  466. does mine. But I want you to see this. This

  467. is where he reveals his name as the I Am.

  468. This is in Exodus when Moses is drawn to the

  469. burning bush and there's a conversation, and in the conversation

  470. he says, who shall I say sent me? And he

  471. says I Am. He said, yahweh Jehovah, he said.

  472. I Am.

  473. This is where he revealed himself as I Am. And

  474. as it pertains to that name, from then on, that

  475. name is joined, joined to his character and to his

  476. attributes and to his person throughout scripture in many other ways,

  477. and I've listed some of them. Here is this too

  478. far away? I feel like I'm walking a mile. Let's

  479. move the podium.

  480. Okay.

  481. So this is I Am, and I am the God Superior,

  482. I am the God Supreme, I am the God above

  483. all things. And then he joins. He joins this in

  484. situation after situation to show them by character in situations

  485. what his name is. So what happens with us is

  486. that when we read these scriptures, we read these scriptures,

  487. we don't when we read these scriptures, we don't read

  488. these scriptus and understand God's actually giving us one of

  489. his names like this one here Exodus thirty one, twelve

  490. through fourteen. Jehovah m Kettish is the God who sanctifies.

  491. Sanctifized means I've made you special, I've made you holy,

  492. I've made you special. I've set you apart from every

  493. other person on the planet. Now, the context of this

  494. is Exodus thirty one. In Exodus thirty one, the context

  495. is the Sabbath, and he says to them, guys, I

  496. want you to keep the Sabbath, but you're going to

  497. be the only nation on the planet out of seventy nations,

  498. you're going to be the only nation on the planet

  499. that is going to rest on the seventh day. I

  500. don't want you to worry about that. I don't want

  501. you to get nervous. I don't want you to wonder

  502. about your riches, your wealth, or your productivity I want

  503. you to rest on the seventh day because I'm setting

  504. you apart. I am the God who sanctifies you.

  505. Here it is the verse is up there.

  506. Thank you for helping me. Thank you, Thank your team.

  507. So he said, I don't need this if you'll help me.

  508. Bless the Lord. So he's telling them, listen, I'm setting

  509. you apart. I'm making you the most unique people in

  510. the world on the entire earth because you only.

  511. Have to work six days a week.

  512. Every other nation's going to have to work seven days

  513. a week just to survive. But you are going to

  514. rest on the seventh day, and you're going to honor

  515. me on the seventh day, and we're going to have

  516. communion on the seventh day, and I'm going to get

  517. to speak into you on the seventh day, and it's

  518. going to be a rest for you while every other

  519. nation has to work on that day because I sanctify you. Now,

  520. when he says this, he literally says that you might

  521. know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you. If

  522. you read that in the English, you don't see that

  523. he he's actually giving you a name. But actually what

  524. that says in the Hebrew, it actually says I am

  525. jehovah Im kedish.

  526. That's what it says.

  527. If you looked in the Hebrew, you would have never

  528. known that he's given you one of his names. So

  529. you wouldn't have known to hallow that name. That's actually

  530. a name that now you can hallow. Holy Spirit. I

  531. thank you set me apart. I'm not like anybody else

  532. on the planet, Holy Spirit. I bless you that you

  533. sanctify you me. You set me apart, you make me holy,

  534. You hallow me, you esteem me, you wash me, you

  535. cleanse me, you preserve me, you deliver me.

  536. This is part of your worship.

  537. This is part of you entering in through the Gate

  538. of Thanksgiving. Is your naming who he is. And as

  539. you name who he is, you participate. You partake. You

  540. eat of him, you eat of You partake of what

  541. you see him as and what you believe him to be,

  542. and what you believe he is unto you. That's what

  543. you partake of. That's what you get to enjoy. That's

  544. the baby birdhism that those are the worms that are

  545. dropping down. That's the conduit. You got certain breakers on

  546. the panel, right, I've got about forty breakers on my panel,

  547. and one of those breakers is Jehovah m Kidesh hit

  548. the breaker. As I see him as the one who

  549. sets me apart. He's loosed in my life to begin

  550. to set me apart. Jehovah sid Canoe. Jehovah sid Canoe,

  551. is my righteousness?

  552. Is?

  553. This happened when Israel was sinning, and Jeremiah talks about

  554. it in twenty three. He talks about it in thirty three.

  555. I pulled this one up. They were sinning, they were

  556. away from God, they were under delusion, they were separated,

  557. and Jeremiah prophesies at that moment. Behold, the days are coming,

  558. declares the Lord. When I will raise up for David

  559. a righteous branch, who do you think that might be?

  560. And he will reign as king and act wisely and

  561. do righteous justice and righteousness in the land. And in

  562. his days, Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell safely.

  563. That's coming by the way, before the rapture, that's coming

  564. by the way.

  565. And this is his name.

  566. By which he will be called, the Lord our Righteousness.

  567. Now you might not have known that, but he was

  568. actually giving us a name of God. He was actually saying,

  569. and this is the name. This is how you're going

  570. to know this one that's coming, because he is the

  571. righteous branch of David, and you're gonna know him as

  572. Jehovah Sitknue. So this is one of the one of

  573. the names of God that we can hallow him for.

  574. And I'm telling you what a blessing. Think about this.

  575. When you come to God out of your trouble, you

  576. come to God, out of your difficulty, out of your faltering,

  577. out of a sin, out of an error, you come

  578. to God and you recognize him. This is you entering in. Now,

  579. you're entering in through the gate of Thanksgiving. That Lord,

  580. You've got me covered. You are my righteousness. I bless you,

  581. Jehovah sit Canoe, that you cover me. I bless you,

  582. Jehovah's sit Canoe, that you've imputed righteousness to me. I

  583. bless you, Jehovah sit Canoe, that you are the God

  584. who is beyond my works, who's beyond my righteousness, who's

  585. beyond anything that I have done or can do. I'm

  586. entering into you, Father because of your righteousness. Right, Jehovah,

  587. your ray, Jehovah, you ray, the God who is my provision.

  588. Do you Remember this story Genesis twenty two. This is

  589. where Abram, Abraham is asked to take Isaac up to

  590. Mount Mariah, to the top and offer him as a sacrifice. Right,

  591. And this is where he's offered to take him as

  592. now here's Isaac. Isaac is the promise, the fulfilled promise.

  593. Isaac is the coveted son. Remember Abraham and Abraham and

  594. Sarah couldn't have children. It takes twenty five years to

  595. get to Isaac. Twenty five years, twenty five years of

  596. waiting for the promise to come to pass. The promise

  597. first comes in Genesis fifteen, is reiterated in seventeen, reiterated

  598. in twenty one. All of this stuff's going on. Finally

  599. the promise comes. Now the promise has grown up. Now

  600. the promise is a young man and Abram who walks

  601. with God, who's known as a prophet, who is the

  602. father of faith. Abraham, who has believed God, isn't God

  603. isn't sure that there's something going on in Genesis twenty two.

  604. You want to read it. Read Genesis twenty two, go

  605. home and read it. There's something going on where God.

  606. It's like Abraham has kind of exalted the promise above

  607. the promise giver, and like he's focused more on the

  608. promise than he is on the promise giver. And there's

  609. more fellowship with the promise than there is with the

  610. promised giver. And so the promised giver Father says, I

  611. need to check your heart. I need to check your heart.

  612. Am I still number one? I mean, you wanted that

  613. promise really bad, and I gave you that promise. I

  614. need to check your heart which would be willing to

  615. take the promise and offer the promise under me? And

  616. this is where Jehovah when it says Jehovah jirah, Jehovah,

  617. rae is my provision or God sees. Another translation is

  618. God sees. God sees, and he provides, God is my provision.

  619. What happened is they get up on that mount right.

  620. And it says in Hebrews chapter eleven that Abraham was

  621. willing to give up Isaac. And Abraham received Isaac from

  622. the dead, believing that God could raise him from the

  623. dead because the promise would still somehow come through him,

  624. So he was willing to offer him up totally. And

  625. because of his willingness to offer the promise to Father

  626. instead of hang on to the promise.

  627. That's where the provision showed up.

  628. Suddenly there was a ram caught in a thicket, and

  629. the angel showed up and said, look, lift up your eyes.

  630. And there was provision. There was provision. And so you

  631. might say, Abraham, God his cake, and he got to

  632. eat it too. He got to keep the son, and

  633. he got the fullness of the Father. He got both.

  634. Why because he chose the fullness of the Father. Here's

  635. what it's trying. This is God's character, God's character. What

  636. God's trying to say is that nothing I asked you

  637. to sacrifice will ever result in an absence of my provision.

  638. Nothing I ever ask you to sacrifice will ever result

  639. in the absence of my provision and my promise. If

  640. you will trust me and the sacrifice, then you will

  641. still receive your promise. That's what he's trying to say,

  642. and and and he's trying to say it so deeply.

  643. He's trying to say, and that's my nature. It's my

  644. name and my nature. When you look to me, you

  645. can honor me for this, you can hallow my name

  646. for this, you can actually worship me, you can actually

  647. lift me up. According to this because it's my name

  648. and my nature. I'm true to it. And so this

  649. is this is part of how we can worship. Like

  650. what's God been asking of you? What's he asking of

  651. you right now to do? What is it that when

  652. he asks you, when he asks something of you, you

  653. sense the argument, the resistance, and he's trying to say,

  654. look to my name before you even get into the

  655. rest of your prayer. Look to my name before you

  656. go on into the prayer outline, Look to my name

  657. before we go further into having any kind of discussion today.

  658. I see what's happening with your heart. So look at

  659. my name, look at my name, amplify my name, magnify

  660. my name, lift up my name, and watch your heart soften,

  661. and watch your heart transform before me as you begin

  662. to restore your trust of me, because I'm good and

  663. I'll never ask you of anything wherein I won't provide

  664. abundantly for you. Jehova and NII God is my banner.

  665. Jehovah.

  666. Thisy this happened when the Amalekites were attacking Israel. The

  667. Amalakites are attacking Israel, and you know the story Moses

  668. is up on top of a cliff, and Joshua was

  669. down in the valley and he's fighting against the Amalekites,

  670. and the Lord says, lift up the banner, lift up the.

  671. Rod, lift up the staff, lift up the pole.

  672. And for us, we've taken this into our armies. We've

  673. taken this into we have a standard, we have a pole,

  674. we have a flag. We have we we run with

  675. the standard. We run with the flag. Well, in that day,

  676. God was saying, lift up my power, my grace, my

  677. sufficiency over you.

  678. And if you will lift.

  679. Me up as a banner, I will fight the battle

  680. for you. Jehovah Nissi is God, my banner, God, my warrior, God,

  681. my standard, God, my overcomer God, God my victory.

  682. And so you know what happened.

  683. You know, every time Moses would hold up the banner,

  684. Joshua would prevail. And when they would let down, when

  685. he would let down, then the Amalikites would prevail. And

  686. so Aaron and Her came and held up each arm,

  687. and Aaron and Her held up his arms so that

  688. the banner of the Lord, that the staff of the Lord,

  689. the rod of the Lord, would be held up. And

  690. that's where God revealed himself as Jehovah. The scene sad

  691. with me this morning. I'm trying to help us because

  692. I know you want to pray. I know you want

  693. to draw near. I know you want more from God.

  694. I know you want to be near to him. I

  695. know you want fellowship with him. I know you want

  696. more of the Holy Spirit. I know you want that.

  697. But the Lord said, there's weakness in our flesh, and

  698. sometimes the weakness is just knowing how to press in

  699. and knowing how to amplify and magnify the very thing.

  700. That we want to do. Because we get we get stuck.

  701. I get stuck with Thank you God, Thank you God,

  702. Thank you Father, Thank you Father, Thank you Jesus, Thank

  703. you Jesus. I get stuck. But in the word there's

  704. there's insight, and there's victory. In the Word, there's insight

  705. and there's understanding. And we can expand our adoration of

  706. him as we understand his name, his character, and we

  707. understand that he's faithful to his name and faithful to

  708. his character and what he revealed himself to be. He

  709. continued to be over and over again with the people

  710. of God. Father, we thank you today for helping us

  711. come on. Would you put up your hands all across

  712. the room today, welcome Holy Spirit right now. Welcome his

  713. help in prayer. Welcome his help in prayer. Welcome his help.

  714. Just lift up your voice and welcome his help in prayer.

  715. Welcome his help. Just you and him, just you and him.

  716. The Holy Spirit is he is the helper, He's the paraclete.

  717. He's the helper. He's the one that comes into our

  718. weakness and helps us. He's the one that comes and

  719. coaches us and guides us. Holy Spirit is living in

  720. us to bring us into this deep, fulfilling, fruitful relationship

  721. with Father, with the son. And we can't really pray

  722. on our own. We can't, we can't. We can't lay

  723. hold of this stuff on our own. We aren't meant to.

  724. We aren't meant to. But what's what's developing is this

  725. beautiful marriage.

  726. He's the groom, we're the bride.

  727. And what's developing as this beautiful, beautiful marriage. And we

  728. are the Proverbs thirty one wife, and and and he

  729. can trust our heart fully because we take in his

  730. words and we cherish his words, and we yearn to

  731. be with him. We are the Song of Solomon wife

  732. that he pursues, and and then we pursue back. We

  733. are we are that lover, and that mystery is unfolding

  734. and becoming fuller and fuller because we are running after him,

  735. and we are bringing our earth suit into subjection, and

  736. we're not letting the world's system or the distractions.

  737. Lord over us.

  738. We are bringing those things into subjection, and we're saying,

  739. Holy Spirit, you're teaching me to pray, and I'm receiving

  740. from you the grace, the enablement, the strength, the life,

  741. the essence of your word, and I'm pressing into you

  742. and I'm embracing this fellowship with you. Parentee, would you

  743. come as we close, If you're here this morning and

  744. you're giving your life back to the Lord, don't leave

  745. without sealing that. If you're here needing and healing in

  746. your body, if you're here with any heart's cry that

  747. hasn't been met yet this morning, we want you to

  748. come as we worship. We're going to close and worship.

  749. We want you to come and be prayed for a

  750. ministered to and courage. Don't leave here without receiving fully

  751. what you came for.

  752. Today.

  753. We bless you, We bless this week. As you continue

  754. in prayer and fasting. Thank you for being a part

  755. today God bless search
