  1. All right, brother. Josh, I'm going to jump on here

  2. real quick. I tried to do it.

  3. Early last time and it and it disconnected so it didn't help.

  4. All right, there we go. All right, we're on #6 but I am

  5. going to jump back and and I've got too many, too many

  6. PowerPoint slides to go. All the way back.

  7. And try to try to find it without being very disjointed.

  8. So what I am going to do though is go back and do a little.

  9. Bit of a review here. And I'm just going to give you

  10. the main points this morning. If you really want to go back

  11. and look at a lot of these, then I encourage you to go back and

  12. watch the Sunday School lesson. From last week, this is the

  13. this. Is a lesson that I've been

  14. teaching in the teen class for quite some time now.

  15. We've been working our way through it and brother Josh

  16. being gone last. Week I decided to try.

  17. To finish this in one week and I that wasn't a good idea, so

  18. we're going to try to. Finish it up this week.

  19. But let me go back and we're talking, obviously this is about

  20. evolution versus science. And when I say science, because

  21. we have it from the word of God and there is no reason in the

  22. world to doubt. The the record that we have of.

  23. Creation. There's no reason to doubt the.

  24. Record that we have of the flood.

  25. There's no reason to doubt any record that we find in the

  26. Bible. Nothing that's in the Bible has

  27. ever been disproven. Whether?

  28. It comes to archaeology or. Science or any of these other

  29. things. In fact, just now you know 7000.

  30. Years after the Earth was. Created science is actually just

  31. picking up on some of the things that the Bible has been saying

  32. for years and years and years and years and years and along

  33. came Charles Darwin in the 1860s eighteen 70s and.

  34. Popularized the theory of evolution.

  35. And there was a lot. Of people who were on board.

  36. With him because they were looking for a way.

  37. To disprove the Bible, they. Were looking for something other

  38. than what? God said about how.

  39. Everything got here. They were.

  40. They were very. Strong Bible critics and they

  41. were looking for something besides creation as a way.

  42. To. To explain how everything got

  43. here and so this. Idea of.

  44. Evolution made perfect sense to a lot of them.

  45. Especially with the lack. Of knowledge that they had back

  46. in the late 1800s, even going into the early 1900's, the lack

  47. of knowledge that they had about science and, and really how the

  48. world worked because technology wasn't anywhere.

  49. Close to what it is. Today, and I said this many

  50. times. I'll give them a little bit of a

  51. pass because. They didn't have that

  52. information. I don't give them a pass.

  53. At all because they they went directly.

  54. Against God's word, they were looking for something besides

  55. what God said about how everything got here.

  56. But I but I do. Give them a little bit of an

  57. understanding when it comes to trying to prove the theory of

  58. evolution. There just wasn't information

  59. out there. I don't understand how anybody

  60. today could be an evolutionist with all of the information that

  61. we have. Available with all the

  62. technology that we have available.

  63. Evolution has been disproven so many times.

  64. That you really either have to be a fool.

  65. Or you have to be completely blinded to the truth to be an

  66. evolutionist. I don't know any other way that

  67. you can explain it, but let me let me just go back and just

  68. mention a couple things. To get you to where we are

  69. today. So let me give you the first 3.

  70. Points and then I'll give you the main points after.

  71. That so the fossil record is used to prove.

  72. Evolution. But actually it disproves

  73. evolution because first of all, the the fossil record is very,

  74. very. Vast.

  75. We have so much information in the fossil record going back to

  76. kind of what I mentioned just a little bit.

  77. Ago, Charles. Darwin knew that the fossil

  78. record did not provide evidence for his.

  79. Doctrine, but he believed this. Problem could be explained by

  80. the incompleteness of the record and the rudimentary state of

  81. paleontology in his day. The study of these fossils was

  82. was so little. Had been done on it that there

  83. was not very much that they knew, and so little had been

  84. done by way of excavation and archaeology into the fossil

  85. record that there just wasn't anything there, Charles Darwin

  86. said. Once paleontology takes off as a

  87. scientific field, and once we have a lot more.

  88. Fossils from the fossil record, I believe that it will prove the

  89. theory of evolution. Well, here we are, 100 a 150

  90. years later and it has not done that.

  91. In fact, it's done the exact opposite.

  92. And that's why I say. That the fossil record actually

  93. disproves evolution and there's some big problems.

  94. That the evolutionists have. Because of the fossil record.

  95. There's some huge advantages that we have as creationists.

  96. Listen, you know I. Believe it because God said.

  97. It I don't need proof from the. World I I believe it because God

  98. said it, but. It sure is nice to have all the

  99. proof in the world that backs up what we believe from God's Word,

  100. and that's exactly what we have so.

  101. The first problem #1 is that the fossil records.

  102. Geologic column has major problems and some of those major

  103. problems I've listed there missing strata.

  104. All these layers that they say are supposed to be.

  105. There in lots of places in the world, there's just no strata.

  106. There. It's all jumbled.

  107. Together, that's the second. Point the Third, Point another.

  108. Problem is the fossilized trees. That go through the entire

  109. layer. We mentioned this but.

  110. If. It died.

  111. It would not sit there for millions of years waiting for

  112. these layers. Of rock to build up.

  113. Around it and it certainly. Wouldn't be fossilized it only?

  114. Fought is it only things only get fossilized if fossilized?

  115. If they're buried very quickly, another problem is all the out

  116. of place fossils. You see fossils that are

  117. supposed to be. 150 million years old, buried on top of

  118. fossils. That are supposed to be. 50

  119. million years old and vice versa.

  120. And so that's a huge problem for evolutionists #2 the.

  121. Fossil record does. Not contain the countless

  122. transitional creatures that Darwinian evolution requires.

  123. If we're going to have this idea of transitional forms, then they

  124. should be all over the place in the fossil record.

  125. There's none. Not just that, they're not all

  126. over the place. There's none.

  127. None of them have ever been found #3 this is on the 2nd.

  128. Page there the fossil. Record shows creatures appearing

  129. suddenly fully formed with no evolutionary history.

  130. We don't find single celled and then multi celled and then more

  131. and more complex. Creatures at the very bottom

  132. level of. The fossil record we find.

  133. Creatures that are exactly like the creatures that are alive

  134. today fully. Formed and buried in those very

  135. first layers? No, no single celled creatures.

  136. No semi intelligent looking creatures.

  137. No, that they're all the way at. The very beginning in the

  138. Cambrian explosion. As they call it biologies.

  139. Big Bang, all the sudden everything is there and the

  140. reason why is because it happened.

  141. Because of a great. Flood.

  142. Everything ended up there in the flood, Not over millions of

  143. years. #4 the fossil record. Demonstrates complexity from

  144. its. Earliest layers.

  145. They say that these simple creatures.

  146. Were the first ones to be. Formed that's your letter A

  147. there the Darwinian doctrine of evolution.

  148. Life arose from a simple creature.

  149. Such as? Bacterium and then just went

  150. higher and higher and higher in their life forms as things

  151. evolved and as things developed and as as there were transitions

  152. and all of these other. Things but letter B creatures.

  153. Appear not only fully developed, but with incredibly complex

  154. features. And we mentioned a few things,

  155. you know, there's. There's one creature that has

  156. 50. 1000 lenses in his eyes, right?

  157. A bat that. Was found in that in those.

  158. Earliest levels of the fossil record is exactly.

  159. The same as a bat. That you would find today.

  160. No difference the. Complexity of creatures let us

  161. see at every level of the fossil record disproves evolution #5

  162. the fossil record exhibits stasis or stability of species

  163. rather. Than change exactly what I just

  164. mentioned. When it comes to a bat and many,

  165. many other things in the fossil record, there is no change

  166. between the fossils. Of the quote UN quote.

  167. Millions of years ago, and the bones of these creatures that we

  168. find today #1 they're not millions of years old, they're

  169. only thousands of. Years old at the oldest.

  170. And #2 it's because there was no evolutionary change over

  171. millions of years. The creatures that were there.

  172. Thousands. Of years ago are the.

  173. Same as. The creatures that we have.

  174. Today, in their mind, millions of years ago, which makes it

  175. even harder to believe. If it was millions of years,

  176. then you certainly would think that there would be great

  177. changes if evolution was actually taking place.

  178. There are none of those changes, and that's a big problem for

  179. them. So we got to #6.

  180. And that's where we are today. I gave you a little bit of this

  181. already, but. Let's jump right in #6 the

  182. uniformitarian view is now rejected even by evolutionists.

  183. That was one of their main arguments, if you will.

  184. For all of those. Years.

  185. Is that everything? Well, let me go here.

  186. Charles Lyell. So I started.

  187. Mentioning this at the end. Of last.

  188. Week, there were three main people who did not come up with

  189. the theory of evolution, but who popularized it and and the

  190. theory of evolution has been around for hundreds of years.

  191. Charles Darwin wrote his. Book on the origin of species.

  192. And that's what made it popular. Charles Darwin was not.

  193. Much of A public speaker. He was not one to, you know,

  194. really get up in these public forums and and spout his ideas

  195. of evolution. Not that he never did that, but.

  196. He had a guy that was that was. Called Darwin's Bulldog.

  197. Does any any of the young people remember I mentioned it last

  198. week? Does anybody remember what his

  199. name is? Thomas Huxley was known as

  200. Darwin. 'S bulldog because he.

  201. Was the one who took. Took this book.

  202. And took Charles Darwin's ideas. Obviously they became good

  203. friends. He was a student of Charles

  204. Darwin and he was the one that was proclaiming far and.

  205. Wide this idea of evolution. Charles Lyell was a student of

  206. Charles Darwin and Thomas. Huxley and so he.

  207. Was the one that came up with this idea of uniformitarianism

  208. now uniformitarianism? Is the idea is that the past is

  209. the key to the? Present conditions have remained

  210. the same over millions of years of time, and I used.

  211. Last week I believe the. Example of the Grand Canyon,

  212. right? We can look.

  213. At the river. That runs at the bottom of the

  214. Grand Canyon and see how much it's carving out of that Canyon

  215. today. And I don't know what it is,

  216. maybe an inch, maybe a couple inches that it's actually

  217. carving out. And so if you were actually.

  218. To go back in time and say that this river has been carving this

  219. Canyon out at that same. Rate for all of these years.

  220. And how deep the Grand Canyon is.

  221. I think the Grand Canyon is almost a mile deep in places.

  222. Imagine how long it must have taken for.

  223. That river to carve. The Grand Canyon.

  224. So if it took that long for it to carve it.

  225. Then we know that the Grand Canyon has to be millions of.

  226. Years old because this is. The right that it's cutting

  227. through there today. The problem is uniformitarianism

  228. is not a valid scientific proposition, right?

  229. You can just look around at things today and see look.

  230. Look. Look at what happened.

  231. With the floods in. Texas, Just just.

  232. A month ago I mean it. Destroyed houses, these little

  233. creeks. Became massive rivers and they

  234. took out huge swaths of land, right?

  235. They changed the entire landscape in less than a day,

  236. not over millions of years. So there's no way that you can

  237. say that everything that's happening.

  238. At this rate, today is. Exactly the same rate that it

  239. happened for all the millions of years leading up to that.

  240. And even evolutionists have gotten to that point where they

  241. agree that there's just no way that that's.

  242. Possible so. Today, this theory is being

  243. rejected by the evidence that things formerly thought to have

  244. required millions of years can actually occur very quickly.

  245. And like I said, even they are willing to agree with that.

  246. Some geologists are calling themselves Neo.

  247. Catastrophists. They believe that many of the

  248. fossil rocks. Were laid down by Massive.

  249. Local floods, all right. And now what they're saying, all

  250. right. And actually I think I missed.

  251. Letter A for you there, Charles Lyell said the.

  252. Geological layers were laid down over millions.

  253. Of years of gradual buildup. But this this theory all right.

  254. This is This is. Your next point here, sorry, let

  255. me go back. Let me go back and give you this

  256. one. This is your second one today.

  257. Letter B today. This theory is being rejected by

  258. the evidence that things formerly thought to have

  259. required millions of years can actually occur very quickly.

  260. I'm skipping through these things and so I apologize if I

  261. missed one of these here, but let me let me and and my mind is

  262. going in a bunch of different directions because there's a lot

  263. of things to say about this, but let me let me bring you up to

  264. speed on something here that. Got us to the point.

  265. Where? Evolution is is just accepted

  266. everywhere, right You go to. Almost any public museum,

  267. everything is millions of years, right?

  268. And and it's just assumed. It's not even well, scientists

  269. think that it was millions of years.

  270. They say millions of years ago this happened or 150 million

  271. years ago this happened. It's not even a question.

  272. How did that get to that point? How is it that creation is not

  273. taught in public schools, but only evolution is taught in

  274. public schools? Does anybody know what the

  275. turning point was for when evolution was essentially widely

  276. accepted in our? School.

  277. System widely accepted as something that was that was

  278. being taught in in all of the scientific colleges and

  279. communities. Does anybody know?

  280. What that would be? Besides the kids, Because you

  281. should know, I've already taught you about it.

  282. Anybody know? It was before that, Yeah.

  283. Miss Vicki. OK, you guys are hitting it.

  284. I'm I'm I'm actually I'm thinking about at a specific

  285. event that happened. The scopes trial, right?

  286. The Scopes trial. Was was one of your main

  287. catalyst? If you will to getting.

  288. Evolution into the. Schools.

  289. The scopes trial was. Basically.

  290. And William Jennings Bryan was one of your main lawyers, if you

  291. will. He was a lawyer and he was

  292. arguing in favor of creation. And the name escapes me of the

  293. guy who was arguing in favor of evolution, but at that time.

  294. They actually had a lot of. Evidence quote UN quote of these

  295. ape men. Who?

  296. As I've said every. One of them turned out to either

  297. be a hoax, it turned out to be false information, or it turned

  298. out to. Be that it was that it was

  299. either a full ape or a full. Human right?

  300. And I said this, they found a tooth.

  301. Of a pig they. Didn't know it was a pig at the

  302. time. They said it was an ancient

  303. human that was a transition between an ape and a human, and

  304. they built an entire body around this tooth.

  305. And then it turned out when they started doing a little bit more

  306. research and as you know, as technology became a little bit

  307. more advanced, that it actually belonged to a pig out the window

  308. for that, right, Lucy? Was a was a huge.

  309. One and you still see that you know this ape because that's

  310. what it was it's not a human, it was an ape and and in some cases

  311. it was fully human bones that they found in some.

  312. Cases it was fully ape. Bones that they found, but.

  313. They took all of this. Evidence and they presented this

  314. and and the the the evolutionists who argued in

  315. favor of evolution at the Scopes trial.

  316. Did a great job of. Presenting this evidence, but

  317. one by one, all of the things that they presented eventually

  318. turned out to be and were proven to be either fake.

  319. Or false. But it gave enough time for

  320. evolution to take hold. So many people.

  321. This was such a published. Trial in such a well known event

  322. that it started getting a lot of people thinking, you know what,

  323. maybe creation is not the way everything happened and maybe

  324. evolution actually is scientific.

  325. Look at all the evidence they have for evolution now.

  326. They didn't know that a lot of it was made-up, right?

  327. Piltdown man is another one. Piltdown man was actually found

  328. in a place called Piltdown, England in a.

  329. Basically a rock quarry. And they found these bones.

  330. A scientist, an evolutionist who was teaching in a university was

  331. the one who found these bones. And for?

  332. 50. Years this thing they then and

  333. they did the same thing they reconstructed it they.

  334. Built a model of what? This ape man looked like and

  335. then they went back and started doing more research on it and

  336. found out that the bones were not even real.

  337. Somebody had fabricated the bones and then painted them to

  338. look old. Somebody more than.

  339. Likely the guy who actually. Found them.

  340. He never admitted to it, but he became wealthy.

  341. He became famous. His name?

  342. Was all over the place. Because now he's connected.

  343. Forever to. Evolution, but even the

  344. evolutionist reject that now. But that was one of the main

  345. arguments that they used in the scope trial to.

  346. Prove that there was. Ancient humans who eventually

  347. became or ancient, you know, apes that eventually became

  348. humans. And and that's, I mean, that's,

  349. that's really your main, that's really the main way that

  350. evolution became commonplace and became, you know, your science

  351. to so many people. And we're starting.

  352. To see a little. Bit of a shift in the opposite

  353. direction because 1 by 1, all of these evidences that they use

  354. for evolution are slowly but surely being disproven.

  355. And even the evolutionist, the honest ones at least, are coming

  356. to the conclusion that you know what, yes, this argument that we

  357. used to use in favor of evolution just it doesn't hold

  358. water anymore. But this is how everything

  359. happened. And then that one gets disproven

  360. and they say, you know. What?

  361. You're right. You're right.

  362. Yeah. That you know, we we.

  363. Had this as a theory. But but now we know that this is

  364. not the way that evolution could have happened.

  365. But. This is the way.

  366. And they just keep moving the goal posts, so to speak.

  367. Uniformitarianism is one of those things.

  368. This was the way that everything got here and this was the way to

  369. explain millions of years for everything.

  370. But now even the evolutionists, and there's still.

  371. Very, very few of them who actually hold to this, to this

  372. theory, if you will. I don't know what.

  373. Else you want to call it but this this idea of

  374. uniformitarianism. So let us see.

  375. The current evolutionary theory is that the Earth has witnessed

  376. a series of global catastrophes. The Chicago Field Museum

  377. actually has 6 mass extinctions. That were supposedly caused by.

  378. Shifting continents, volcanic activity, meteors and so on.

  379. So this is mass extinction number six that they.

  380. Have displayed there. At the they have all the mass

  381. extinctions displayed, but this is the one.

  382. This is just the one in the picture.

  383. They won't admit that there was a.

  384. Global flood because. They don't want to believe the

  385. Bible, but let me let me throw. This out there to.

  386. You I'm going to end up getting so behind.

  387. We're going to have to do this again.

  388. I don't want to do that. So I'm going to, I'm going to

  389. finish. This up but has there.

  390. Been any kind of mass floods that have taken place since the

  391. Great Flood? I mean, it sounds like a trick

  392. question. Yes, there have been, right?

  393. I mean, we just had one, just had one down in Texas destroyed

  394. a whole town, right? The Johnstown flood, I mean,

  395. there's been many. Local floods that have.

  396. Destroyed an entire area one of the things that evolutionists

  397. and. Others who reject the idea of

  398. the great flood propose is that the.

  399. Flood in God's in Noah's day was not a global flood that covered

  400. the entire earth. But just a local flood that

  401. destroyed all. The people and all the things in

  402. Noah's day. But if?

  403. We hold to that position. We are essentially saying that.

  404. God is a liar because God said. I'm putting my bow in the clouds

  405. as a reminder that I will never destroy the earth by a flood

  406. again. And if it was only a localized

  407. flood, then God has not kept his promise because there's been a.

  408. Lot of localized floods. Since the days.

  409. Of the great. Flood that covered the entire.

  410. Earth. So either it was a flood that

  411. covered. The entire earth or God lied in

  412. the Bible, and I'm not willing to say that God lied in the

  413. Bible. There's a There was a global

  414. flood that covered the entire earth exactly the way that the

  415. Bible said it was going. To happen.

  416. So that brings us then to #7 The uniformitarian view was

  417. disproven by Mount Saint Helens. I was not alive when Mount Saint

  418. Helens happened. It was only right after that

  419. that I was born. But I remember hearing much

  420. about it even as I was growing up because it was such a huge

  421. event. But number one, or letter A, the

  422. Mount Saint Helens volcanic explosion has proven that

  423. geological layers can be formed in hours and days.

  424. Now Mount Saint Helens is in Washington state.

  425. I've been to Washington state. I've seen some of the other

  426. mountains up there. I've never actually seen Mount

  427. Saint Helens, but you can go there and you can see and you

  428. can look at pictures of what Mount Saint Helens looked like

  429. before, and you can see what Mount Saint Helens looked like

  430. after. This is what it looked like

  431. before the. Explosion.

  432. I don't know when this picture was taken, 7879, something like

  433. that, because the flood, I mean the May 18th, 1980 is actually

  434. when Mount Saint Helens exploded.

  435. And of course this is. The.

  436. Actual explosion taking place so.

  437. Here's what it looked like. Before the explosion, this is

  438. what Mount Saint Helens looked like after the explosion.

  439. After that volcano went off, the entire northern face was just

  440. completely blasted. Away.

  441. On Mount Saint Helens, canyons up to 140 feet deep and several

  442. miles long were carved into solid bedrock in places.

  443. It was caused by that. Water and the and the mud and

  444. the volcanic, the heat from the volcanoes happened in hours, not

  445. millions of years. If every if uniformitarianism

  446. was true and somebody came along in 150 years and didn't know

  447. that Mountain St. Helens had had erupted 150 years

  448. before that and they believed evolution and they looked at

  449. that. They would say wow.

  450. Look at these canyons. It must have taken millions of

  451. years for these canyons to form. Somebody who was there and saw

  452. it would know that it wasn't millions of years.

  453. It was. Hours that it took for that to

  454. happen. So this idea of

  455. uniformitarianism that everything that that the present

  456. is the key to the past and that everything has been happening at

  457. the same. Rate for all of these years has

  458. to be. Thrown out, these rock layers

  459. were formed in just a very, very short time.

  460. Here's your second point there, letter B.

  461. This proves that layers of sediment can be laid down

  462. quickly in that great canyons such as the Grand Canyon can

  463. form quickly. And that's exactly what's

  464. happened. The Grand Canyon formed very

  465. quickly. It happened during the flood and

  466. you think about how much water there was on the earth, right?

  467. You ever maybe just in a Little River setting and you're just

  468. kind of messing around by the side of the bank and you start

  469. knocking some of that dirt away. I don't know if you've ever seen

  470. this. This is this is actually maybe a

  471. little bit better example, but I've seen this happen before

  472. people. At the beach.

  473. Start digging a giant trench you ever seen that and the next

  474. thing you know it's not just a little trench anymore it's like

  475. a giant river and they. And it's almost like they

  476. rerouted the entire ocean. Or the entire lake or whatever

  477. it happens to be to go down this new route.

  478. And as it gets bigger, it keeps getting bigger and as it gets

  479. more and more power, it takes more and more of that land out,

  480. right. Think about what what power

  481. there must have been when the. Entire earth was covered.

  482. In water, if the entire earth was covered in water, that that

  483. means even Mount Everest was underwater.

  484. And, and by the way, that's how it explains fossils on the top

  485. of mountains, right? That's how there's fish fossils.

  486. On mountains and there is tons of them, not just one here and

  487. there, right. It's although how do you explain

  488. a fish on the top of a mountain, right, evolution, right.

  489. He walked up to the top and died.

  490. That's probably. What happened?

  491. But yeah, obviously we. I mean, there's no other way to

  492. explain it other than a great. Flood, but think about the power

  493. of that water. As everything was receding and

  494. as it was going down and you know, I mean it, I mean it just,

  495. it must have been amazing to see the.

  496. Power of that water you. Ever been to a huge.

  497. Waterfall or to like a. You know, giant Rapids in a

  498. river and just see the power of that and how it's hitting a rock

  499. and you can see how it's carving that rock out.

  500. Now multiply that by a million and you have probably something

  501. about what it looked like during the.

  502. Flood when those waters were. Receding the water is powerful.

  503. Powerful and it's, you know, especially if everything was

  504. muddy, you know, and everything. Was was was flexible?

  505. And in flux. Be very, very.

  506. Easy for that to happen. So let.

  507. Let's go then to number 8. The fossil record contains

  508. evidence of the global flood described in the Bible.

  509. The fossil record contains the evidence of a global flood

  510. that's described in the Bible. Which again.

  511. Just goes to prove exactly what we've always.

  512. Known the Bible is true. We don't need science to prove

  513. the Bible for us to know that it's true.

  514. But science does do that, and not only does it.

  515. Prove the Bible. It disproves evolution.

  516. Here's your first point there, Letter A, The global flood

  517. explains the layers of sedimentary.

  518. Rock throughout the world. The global flood.

  519. Explains the layers of sedimentary.

  520. Rock throughout the world Let. Me give you a few points about

  521. that. Sedimentary rock is actually

  522. formed by flowing water, by moving water and you have so

  523. many examples of that. But this sedimentary rock layers

  524. are hundreds of feet deep, they're miles long and you find

  525. them all over the place in the world.

  526. There's canyons everywhere in the world and, and you know the

  527. only way. That that could have possibly.

  528. Happened is by water flowing, and if water is flowing then it

  529. has to be tall enough to to be above that Canyon so it can

  530. carve it out, and it has to be enough of it flowing at the same

  531. time. For it to carve.

  532. That Canyon through those. Through all that, that that.

  533. Bedrock and everything else. So Ordovician Tsum shale in

  534. South Africa is? 30 feet thick.

  535. Stretches hundreds of miles. The Devonian Thunder Bay

  536. Formation in Michigan, 12 feet thick.

  537. Stretches for hundreds of miles. The Silwaukee Hills in India, 2

  538. to 3000 feet high and several 100 miles long.

  539. The Morrison Formation covers an area of about a million square

  540. miles in 13 states in America and three Canadian provinces.

  541. Manitoba to Arizona, Alberta to Texas.

  542. I mean, that is such a huge, huge, huge swath of land, the

  543. Green River formation. Covers a large territory in.

  544. Wyoming. Utah, Colorado There's a thick

  545. layer of water laid white. Chalky rock that runs from

  546. America to Eastern Europe. In the Middle East, we call them

  547. the White. Cliffs of Dover maybe?

  548. That's how you know them. They're part of this rock.

  549. Layer that covers 2 continents. Just just huge.

  550. There's no there's no other way to explain it other than that it

  551. was all laid down by water. It was all it was, all cut out

  552. by water. In some of those cases.

  553. Here's your next point then. Letter B.

  554. The global flood. Explains the massive fossil

  555. beds. This is this.

  556. Is actually a fossil bed. In what is now a National Park

  557. in the United States. But there's just so much.

  558. Of it there and how does that get there these fossil beds are

  559. are vast graveyards of. Dead animals that were buried

  560. very quickly. You don't have fossils unless

  561. they were buried. Quickly.

  562. Right. Things that die, rot and go back

  563. into the Earth. And if it's not?

  564. Covered very quickly, it's. I mean, even if listen, I mean.

  565. You a lot of the people. Who are buried in graves are not

  566. even there anymore, right? And they were.

  567. I mean, they were not buried quickly.

  568. Necessarily, but they were buried.

  569. And many of them were even preserved, and they're still,

  570. you know. They still go back to Earth, so

  571. to speak. But a lot of things here, so I'm

  572. going to. Cover this very very quickly.

  573. Just to kind of get us to the end here this morning, but the

  574. fossilization that we see in these great.

  575. Fossil beds throughout the Earth.

  576. Could not possibly be explained in evolutionary terms.

  577. How do you have all of those things buried all in the same

  578. place all at the same time? Fossil beds don't form under

  579. normal conditions and as we mentioned already, dead animals

  580. are quickly consumed by animals, insects, worms.

  581. Bacteria. They're destroyed by the.

  582. Actions of the environment, Sun, wind, wind, rain, moving water,

  583. all of those things destroy dead animals and dead bodies.

  584. They don't, they don't help to preserve it.

  585. Giant whales, they have. ABBC video shows a dead whale

  586. that's being devoured by fish and worms and bacteria at the

  587. bottom of the sea. Special worms in the deep.

  588. Sea that use acid to eat through the.

  589. Bones of dead whales. They were first discovered on a

  590. whale. Carcass in 2002.

  591. Think about this, all right, One of the things that that

  592. characterized the Old West, not the people, but before.

  593. People got there. What was it?

  594. One of the things that I mean just all over the plains.

  595. Everywhere. Buffalo, right?

  596. Bison. Everywhere.

  597. Think about the thousands the. Hundreds of thousands of bison

  598. that were killed during that time, right?

  599. Hundreds of thousands literally. And yes, they, you know, they

  600. use the skin, but a lot of times they they just.

  601. Let the Buffalo fall where it was at.

  602. Left the meat on it, obviously there's not.

  603. They didn't really do anything with the bones either, right?

  604. So you have hundreds of thousands of of dead.

  605. Buffalo. How come you don't see that

  606. today? It's because they don't stay

  607. around for millions of years. They disappear.

  608. Right. They break down, they become

  609. brittle and they turn into these, you know, basically flaky

  610. bones. And then they go.

  611. Back to earth, because that's what the Bible says.

  612. Ashes to ashes, dust, dust to dust, right?

  613. The vast herd of of. Millions of bison that were

  614. killed in the late 19th century. No fossil evidence anywhere.

  615. There's a reason for that. Here's another one.

  616. The lions. Second king, 1725.

  617. Therefore the Lord sent lions among them, which slew some of

  618. them. That was the story of Elijah.

  619. I mean, sorry, not Elijah slipping my mind.

  620. Anyway, the lions that infested Israel for centuries and that

  621. meant were mentioned 141 times in the Bible.

  622. There's none of them left during the time of The Crusaders.

  623. One of the things that they. Looked at as a badge.

  624. Of of courage and a badge of honor was to go slay a lion they

  625. killed. All of the.

  626. The lions that were left in Israel, no fossil evidence of

  627. those lions anywhere. They can't.

  628. They can't even go find the bones and reconstruct one of

  629. those lions because they're gone.

  630. And that's what happens. That exposes another myth, myth

  631. in the Natural History museums, the Chicago Field Museum, they

  632. said fossilization. Fossilization occurs naturally

  633. when dead creatures soak in groundwater for a long, long

  634. time. You don't even have to be a

  635. scientist to know what happens when things soak in groundwater

  636. for a long, long time, right? That speeds up the

  637. decomposition. It doesn't slow it down, speeds

  638. it up. British History.

  639. British Museum of Natural History.

  640. This is what the little thing there says.

  641. Fishy. Death the.

  642. Fossils in this slab belong to a school of fish that died in the

  643. same place at the same time. Their lake dried out during a

  644. hot spell, leaving the trap fish to die and then.

  645. They just laid there for. Millions of years.

  646. While those layers slowly grew. Over the top of them and

  647. fossilized those fish doesn't even make any sense.

  648. Here's Here's what the. British Museum of Natural

  649. History When the Fish. Dies.

  650. It falls. To the sea floor and becomes

  651. buried in sediments the. Soft body parts rot away.

  652. Leaving the hard bones, sediment layers accumulate and become

  653. compacted over time, forming a rock mold around the skeleton.

  654. The skeleton is gradually replaced by other minerals.

  655. These are unscientific statements.

  656. Fossilization does not naturally occur in this manner, and that's

  657. what I'm saying. These are the people who are.

  658. Writing the science books, they don't even understand how

  659. science works. You don't even have to be a

  660. scientist to know that that doesn't make any sense when a

  661. fish dies. It's quickly devoured.

  662. By animals. It's eaten by germs when a clam

  663. dies. It opens up fossil graveyards.

  664. Contains millions of clams that are closed.

  665. That means they were fossilized rapidly.

  666. Cold deposits contain the. Fossils of perfectly preserved.

  667. Skeletons of large dinosaurs, which would have had been

  668. covered instantly in order for that to happen.

  669. Otherwise those. Bones would have disappeared.

  670. Here's a 7 foot. Ichthyosaurus that was

  671. fossilized. While it was giving.

  672. Birth. I think it died.

  673. While it was giving birth and then laid there with nothing

  674. touching it. No, no, no natural processes

  675. taking place. No, it's because it doesn't

  676. happen that way. Fossil graveyards contain

  677. millions of soft bodied organisms, bacteria, embryo

  678. leaves, flowers, worms, jellyfish, fish eggs, insects,

  679. including. Butterflies.

  680. Those. Things don't sit there for

  681. millions of years. It doesn't take them but a

  682. month. I mean, look what happens when

  683. the when the leaves fall from the trees and die, right?

  684. I mean, you go back two months later and you pick up a dead

  685. leaf and it just crumbles in your hand, right?

  686. Something steps on it or the wind.

  687. Blows it, it goes to dust. There's nothing left of it.

  688. How do we have fossilized? Leaves in the fossil record.

  689. Because it had to. Be very, very quickly.

  690. That's impossible under normal circumstances.

  691. Food can be seen in the. Guts of fossilized fish.

  692. How do you think that happens? Only by burying quickly

  693. fossilized scorpions with their stings.

  694. Preserved fish. With embryos inside their

  695. abdomens, the Triassic cowbrand formation is here in Virginia.

  696. Microscopic details are preserved at a.

  697. Resolution of approximately 1 Micron.

  698. It's 25 times smaller than our eyes can see.

  699. Tell me how those stayed intact after they sat there for

  700. millions of years waiting to be. Covered up and fossilized.

  701. Crestaceous. Sorry, Cretaceous.

  702. Santana formations in Brazil skin.

  703. Scales muscle fiber, gills with. Arteries and veins are visible

  704. in one female specimen. The ovaries are preserved with

  705. developing eggs inside of it. Lignite beds in Germany.

  706. Leaves that are so well preserved that alpha and beta

  707. types of chlorophyll. Can be recognized.

  708. The color of the leaves has even been preserved.

  709. A fish that was swallowing a fish preserved in the fossil

  710. record. Trilobites fossilized in great.

  711. Detail. If you've been to the Creation

  712. Museum, you've seen those. A trilobite eye.

  713. Trilobites had compound eyes that and they were preserved in

  714. such details that that scientists actually have been

  715. able to study. The eyeballs of these

  716. trilobites. In microscopic detail, that's

  717. how minutely preserved these things were.

  718. Fossils that are found all. Over the Earth are evidence of a

  719. global flood that quickly covered.

  720. And preserved them. Here's your next point there.

  721. Letter C, the global flood explains the sorting.

  722. OK. And we've kind of.

  723. Already talked about this quick. So I'm going to.

  724. Cover this quickly, but Global Flood explains why you have

  725. creatures that dwell at the bottom of the.

  726. Sea on the top of the mountains and why you have fossils that

  727. would be in all these different strata, even the ones that they.

  728. Say are older are buried. On top.

  729. How is that? Possible it's because they were

  730. all buried. At the same time, the flood

  731. didn't reach maximum height for 150 days.

  732. Land animals and birds would have been killed after the sea

  733. creatures that lived in the shallow areas near the land.

  734. Letter D The global flood. Explains the mixing.

  735. Which we've already talked about a little bit, but they.

  736. Explains why land animals and sea animals are often together

  737. jumbled in the. Fossil beds letter E The global

  738. flood. Explains sea creatures on

  739. mountains, as we've already mentioned.

  740. How do you end? Up with sea creatures.

  741. On mountains, well, they're all buried at the same time.

  742. Peru and other. Places whale fossils.

  743. Have been found high in mountains far from the ocean.

  744. How is that possible? Well.

  745. Because of that, the Trial of Bite was a sea creature.

  746. And this is brother Cloud mentioning this, but I own

  747. ammonite fossils which are found in Nepal in the high Himalayas.

  748. They were sea creatures that that look like squid.

  749. Or were from the squid order, but evolution to say that the

  750. land was lifted up over a long period of time to form the

  751. mountains with the sea fossils on top of them.

  752. But this is this is from NASA and the Himalayas were formed

  753. when a large landmass broke off from Africa when this landmass

  754. came close to Asia. It started to push.

  755. Up the land ahead of it, forming a large shallow ocean with rich

  756. ocean life. The bones and shells of the

  757. plants and animals in this shallow ocean formed limestone

  758. and left fossils. They're so desperate.

  759. They're so. Desperate to try to find

  760. something other than what the Bible says that they'll make up

  761. anything it's not possible, they.

  762. If they. If they.

  763. Had died in the sea before the land lifted up, they wouldn't

  764. have been fossilized. Doesn't happen over a long

  765. period of time, so it. Happens very quickly.

  766. Evolutionist also theorized that some fossils were made by layers

  767. of volcanic ash. Volcanic ash doesn't make

  768. fossils. We have a living laboratory that

  769. that happened in 1980 that you can go back and look at that.

  770. There's no fossils in the ash of Mount Saint Helens.

  771. Ash covered large parts of the. Western United States billowing

  772. in the. Sky the ash was.

  773. Cleaned up with these tractors covered everything 12 miles from

  774. the mountain. Man blowing the ash.

  775. Off of his car. It killed some people and many

  776. animals that it didn't produce fossils let me give.

  777. You this as we close. All right, I'm going to skip.

  778. Ahead just a little bit. Again get you to this point, so

  779. the summary. Of the fossil records.

  780. Witness against evolution. Those are the five points that

  781. you have their number one. Far from providing evidence for

  782. the evolution of life, the fossil.

  783. Record disproves. Evolution and we've looked at a

  784. lot of different things that we can point to.

  785. That shows that the fossil. Record not only does not prove

  786. evolution, it disproves evolution. #2 the fossil.

  787. Record does not contain the countless transitional creatures

  788. that evolution requires. Not only they're not countless

  789. transitional creatures, there are none in the fossil record.

  790. #3 the fossil record. Shows creatures appearing

  791. suddenly, fully formed. We just kind of covered that

  792. again in our in our review. #4 the fossil record.

  793. Demonstrates complexity from its.

  794. Earliest layers. And #5 the fossil.

  795. Record exhibits stability of species.

  796. Rather than change and that's, you know, honestly, that's a

  797. that's a wonderful thing that. Proves God's word if there.

  798. Was a lot of change and we could see inter inter kind changing,

  799. you know, 1/2 cat and a half dog.

  800. Then you could say, all right, we don't see.

  801. It today but but there's. Evidence of it.

  802. And we have to say that evolution is a possibility even

  803. if we don't believe it, right? But there's none of that.

  804. There's none of that. And that's why I say it takes

  805. more faith. It takes more faith to be an

  806. evolutionist than it does to be a creationist.

  807. It makes way more sense to me to say that God created everything

  808. than it does to say there was this giant explosion and

  809. everything happened and fossils that are not formed over

  810. millions of years because that's not how anything happens on our

  811. earth today was formed over millions of years and the

  812. strata. Are all in different?

  813. Places and the and the and the fossils are all in different,

  814. you know, jumbled together and in the wrong spots and

  815. everything else. It takes a lot of.

  816. Faith to believe that because there's no.

  817. Evidence to prove it right we have a lot of evidence to prove

  818. that there was a. Global flood.

  819. And I'm thankful that we have it, but I don't need it.

  820. We have all the. Evidence we need in God's Word.

  821. This is what God said. Happened.

  822. All we have to do is believe it. But the fossil record is a

  823. great, great, great. Evidence not just against

  824. evolution, but in favor of creation.

  825. If you learn these things, it'll help you to be able to defend.

  826. What you believe about the? Creation what you believe.

  827. About the flood? What you believe About what?

  828. The Bible. Says about how everything

  829. happened and you can dispute what the evolutionists say about

  830. let's pray father again we thank you that we have these things

  831. that we can go back and look at that proves.

  832. God's Word, I pray that you'd help us to.

  833. Be able to stand strong in our faith and in the truth.

  834. Of God's Word, I pray that you just give us a good.

  835. Service here in the next hour. And again, we thank you for all

  836. you do for us. In Jesus name, Amen.
