  6. minds, promoting a closer relationship with God and a firm belief in His promises.

  7. 1st Peter 1 verse 10, 1st Peter 1 verse 10.

  8. Of this salvation, so the context or the communication of the prophets was about salvation.

  9. Of this salvation, the prophets have inquired and searched carefully,

  10. what prophets side of the grazer will come to you.

  11. Searching what or what manner of time the spirit of Christ was in them was indicating when he

  12. testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that will follow.

  13. So we summarize the sayings of the prophets, the prophetic sayings of the prophets as what?

  14. As a sufferings of Christ and the glories that will follow.

  15. And in Luke 24 verse 49, after Jesus had come, he has suffered, he has died on the cross,

    Luke 24:49

  16. he has resurrected. Behold, I send the promise of my father upon you.

  17. From the promise that was made through the scriptures from Genesis to Malachi.

  18. Behold, I send the promise of my father upon you, but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem

  19. until you are endued with power on high. So we see here Jesus committing to the promise.

  20. Acts chapter one verse four and five, Acts chapter one verse four and five.

  21. And been assembled together with them, he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem,

  22. but to wait for the promise of the father which he said, you have heard from me, for John truly

  23. baptized with water, but you will be baptized with your Holy Spirit not many days from now.

  24. So the promise here is a spirit of God, the spirit of God. Acts chapter two verse 16,

  25. we see where Peter was making reference to this when it happened. Acts chapter two verse 16 to 18.

  26. But this was what was spoken by the prophet Joel. Now the prophet Joel made, you know,

  27. prophecy concerning this promise, utterance, gifts. And it shall come to pass in the last days,

  28. says God, that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

  29. your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams, verse 18, and on my men's

  30. servants and on my maid's servants I will pour out my spirit in those days and they shall prophesy.

  31. Jump to verse 37, verse 37, verse 37 to 41. Now when they had this, they were caught to their heart

  32. and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter

  33. said to them, repent and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the

  34. remissions of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. And you've been consistent here.

  35. You remember we keep telling you that the word baptize here does not mean baptize in water.

  36. Amen? Because the forgiveness of sins is not anchored on water baptism. So this passage is

  37. not talking about water baptism. You shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. First 39 years. For

  38. the promise, which promise? Promise that was made from the times past. The promise is who? Is to you.

  39. That is to those who are listening and to your children and to all who are far off. And I said

  40. last week that we are encapsulated in these who are far off. Amen? As many as the Lord our God

  41. will call. Verse 40. And with many other words he testified and exalted them saying, be saved from

  42. this perverse generation. Verse 41, the last one from here. Then those who gladly receive his word

  43. were baptized. And that day about three thousand souls were added to them. Hallelujah.

  44. So these promises were anchored on water. On the Old Testament, from the Old Testament promises.

  45. The promise is received by what? By believing in the gospel message. How these promises are received

  46. is by what? Is by believing in what? In the gospel message. Galatians chapter three verse one to three.

  47. All foolish Galatians who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth before whose eyes

  48. Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified. This only I want to learn from you.

  49. Did you receive the spirit by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith? And are you so

  50. foolish having begun the spirit? Are you now being made perfect by the flesh? So they receive the

  51. spirit, the promise by what? By faith. Even though the context says that these men were deviating into

  52. works. And here Paul is writing, you know, justizing them, admonishing them, correcting them

  53. to return back to faith. Believing what God has done in Christ Jesus as a basis for the life that

  54. is led by the spirit. And we said also that Jesus is what? Is the embodiment of all God's promises.

  55. Everything that was promised from Genesis to Malachi was fulfilling who? In Christ Jesus.

  56. Second Corinthians chapter one verse twenty. Second Corinthians one twenty. For all the promises of God,

  57. all here mean the great promises, the great promise or rather the great promise of God.

  58. In him our yes and in him amen to the glory of God through us. So everything God committed to do

  59. in the Old Testament and committed to, you know, throughout the Old Testament with the amount of

  60. words of the prophets, whether concerning salvation, whether concerning redemption,

  61. whether concerning the appalling of the spirit as we saw about eternal life has been fulfilled

  62. and affirmed through Christ Jesus. So the believer has what? Has received the promise of God.

  63. Hallelujah. So if you are here and you believe in Jesus Christ, you have received the promise.

  64. You have received the promise of God. And what we need to begin to see is a manifestation of what? Of

  65. this promise that was promised from the ancient times. Ephesians chapter one verse three emphasizes

  66. that the believer have already been blessed with every spiritual blessings in Christ. Blessed be the

  67. God and the father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who has blessed? Which means that the blessings is in

  68. the past. If you are a believer, you are already blessed. He has blessed us with what? With every

  69. spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. So that is the reality of a man in Christ.

  70. He is a blessed man. He's a man that have come into the promise of God. Colossians chapter two

  71. verse nine. Here we see Paul explaining that we are complete in Christ. We have received everything

  72. that we need in him. For in him dwells what? All the fullness of the Godhead. Utterly verse 10. And

  73. you are what? You are what? You lack nothing. You are complete in him. A man who believes is in him.

  74. The man who believes is complete in him. Meaning that he has received all that he needs. Who is

  75. ahead of all principalities and power. So the believer lack nothing. Romans 8 verse 32.

    Romans 8:32

  76. Romans 8 verse 32. He who did not spare his own son but delivered him up for us all. How shall

    Romans 8:32

  77. he not with him also? Now this is what has already happened. All right. How shall he not with him also

  78. freely give us all things? So this verse speaks of God's generosity and giving his son along with him

  79. all things freely to us who believe in him. Second Peter chapter one verse three to four. Second

  80. Peter chapter one verse three to four. As his divine power has given to us how many things?

  81. See I have all things in Christ. I have all things in Christ. As his divine power has given to us

  82. all things that pertains to what? That pertains to life and godliness. Through the knowledge of him

  83. what? What call us by glory and virtue. By which have given to us exceedingly great precious promises

  84. that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature. Having escaped the corruption that

  85. is in the world through lust. So the believer has already been given everything that he needs.

  86. Attends to life and godliness including the precious, the precious promises of God. So in

  87. our attempt to study the promises of God we will come across another concept the covenant of God.

  88. Hallelujah. The covenant of God. It is essential for us to understand the covenant of God. Often

  89. times we see the word old covenant or rather the old testament meaning the same and the new covenant

  90. and also the new testament. I don't want to go much more into looking at the Greek because of time.

  91. Now but then the word covenant was used by Jesus just once in scripture. Amen. Matthew chapter 26

    Matthew 26 chapter mention

  92. put a bracket if you're writing Matthew 26 put mark 14 24 or Luke 22 20. Matthew 26 28

  93. we'll see the reference the same in mark 14 24 and Luke 22 was 20. Now let's read Matthew 26 was 28.

  94. For this is my blood of the new covenant which is shared for many for the remission of sins.

  95. So we'll also see Zechariah in his prophecy making reference to this covenant. Luke chapter 1 verse

    Luke 1:67

  96. 67. Luke chapter 1 verse 67. I'm reading down to verse 75. Now his father Zechariah was filled with

    Luke 1:67

  97. the Holy Spirit and prophesied saying blessed be the Lord of God of Israel for he has visited

  98. and redeemed his people and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant

  99. David and he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets who have been who have been since the

  100. world began that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us

  101. to perform the mercy promise to our father so there was a promise that was made to the fathers

  102. to perform so the promise was to be performed and as an individual will perform this promise

  103. to perform the mercy promise to our fathers and to remember his holy word his holy covenant.

  104. Oftentimes we'll see promises and covenant used side by side in the text 72 to perform

  105. to perform at 73 right now the oath which is swore to our father Abraham so God made a covenant

  106. with who with Abraham please take note I'm slow here so that we can follow God made an oath God

  107. entered into a covenant with who with Abraham to grant us that we been delivered from the hand of

  108. our enemies might serve him without fear we might serve him without what without fear 75 in holiness

  109. and righteousness before him in all the days of our lives so God made a covenant with Abraham now

  110. let's go deeper into studying the word covenant this covenant Romans of the nine verse one to five

  111. let's look at how Paul explains this especially Romans nine verse four but less from verse one to

  112. verse five God made a covenant to Abraham I tell the truth in Christ I am not lying my conscience

  113. also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart

  114. for I wish that I am as if were accursed from Christ for my brethren my countrymen according

  115. to the flesh who are Israelites to won't pertain the adoption now look at what look at verse four

  116. carefully adoption right glory and what the covenants emperor the giving of little

  117. service of God and the promise is possible manual of dealt with this properly but I want to just take

  118. covenants here fast forward let's read verse five then verse five of whom are the fathers who are

  119. the fathers talking about the prophets of all all right the prophets of all of whom are the fathers

  120. and from whom according to the flesh the Jewish nation Christ came who is over all the eternally

  121. blessed God in men so God made a covenant right to Abraham he made a covenant to Abraham acts of the

  122. three was 22 we see another place where it was which was it was discussed acts chapter three

  123. was 22 to 26 I want us to see carefully because there are two covenants all right for those truly

  124. say to the fathers the Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brethren

  125. him you shall hear in all things whatever he says to you and it shall be that every soul who will

  126. not hear the that prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people yes and all the prophets

  127. from Samuel and those who follow as many as have spoken have also foretold these days

  128. it's 24 for 25 you are sons of the prophets and of what and of the covenant which God made with our

  129. fathers now there is a covenant that was made with the fathers amen just want to be careful here

  130. and there is a covenant specifically that was made with Abraham saying to Abraham now look at

  131. the explained the one to Abraham in your seat all the families of the earth shall be blessed to you

  132. first God having raised up his servant so this seat to Abraham is who is explaining verse 26 to

  133. you first God raised up his servant who is that seat Jesus sent him to bless you in turning away

  134. every one of you from your iniquities hallelujah now I want you to note that the covenant was made

  135. to or given to Abraham and not met with Abraham specifically concerning Abraham a covenant was

  136. made right to or given to because oftentimes when we say the word covenant our understanding of

  137. covenant is an argument between two parties isn't it I and you will make a covenant

  138. two equals will make an agreement and then we choose to stick by our promise to each other

  139. commitment to fulfill a promise is a covenant amen so basically God made a covenant to Abraham

  140. or God gave Abraham a covenant and God did not make a covenant with Abraham so what I'm trying

  141. to explain is that God and Abraham were not in a partnership in fulfilling this covenant

  142. God made a covenant to Abraham the covenant with Abraham was not a contract or an agreement

  143. between two equals where each party plays a role no Abraham had no role in the fulfillment

  144. of this covenant this covenant was God all by himself committing to do what to fulfill

  145. the promise he has met to humanity Hebrews chapter 6 verse 13 let's look at how it was

    Hebrews 6:13

  146. explained in Hebrews 6 verse 13 to 17 for when God made a promise to Abraham

    Hebrews 6:13–17

  147. because he couldn't sway by no one greater what did he do he swore by himself saying

  148. surely blessing I will bless you and multiplying and in multiplying I will what I will multiply

  149. you and so after he had patiently endured he what he obtained the promise who endured

  150. Abraham endured and he obtained the promise for men in this way by the by the greater

  151. and artful confirmation is for them and end to all dispute verse 17 first God determining

  152. to show more abundantly to who to the haze of the promise the immutability do you know

  153. what it means immutability of his counsel that means the which word will I use now help

  154. me with English rather give me that course what can never fail right yes does it explains

  155. it because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to this to

  156. the haze of what of of what was promised he confirmed it with an oath so God entered into

  157. an art and he swore by himself that means that God put his own integrity online I will

  158. make this happen amen and nowhere in scripture we see Abraham contributing to this and we

  159. can see this Genesis 22 verse 15 let's let's cross reference and take Genesis 22 verse

    Genesis 22:15 Genesis 22:15

  160. 15 when God was making this covenant with Abraham and the angel of the Lord called to

  161. Abraham a second time out of heaven and said by myself I have sworn says the Lord because

  162. you have done this thing and I've not withheld your son your only son blessing I will bless

  163. you and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heavens and as the sun

  164. which is on the seashore and your descendants shall possess the gates of of their enemies

  165. was 18 in your seat not six in your seat all nations not nation because nations means

  166. many nations he's not talking about one nation but he's talking about many nations talking

  167. about all nations of where very clearly of the earth including you and I in this covenant

  168. that God entered with Abraham that the art shall be blessed because you have what because

  169. you have obeyed because you have believed my word because you believe my word because

  170. you've obeyed my word because you've obeyed my word verse 19 so Abraham returned to his

  171. young men and they rose and went together to be shiva and Abraham their Lord and they

  172. were Abraham and Abraham their shiva hallelujah so God swore by himself when he made the covenant

  173. to Abraham affirming his own integrity as the guarantor Abraham understood that God's

  174. promises will be fulfilled even seeing a glimpse of God's ultimate plan by demonstrating the

  175. sacrifice of Isaac you know that was a teaching that God was taking Abraham through so God

  176. has never requested from man to support his work amen God has never requested that a man

  177. should what to help in assisting God in fulfilling his promise so God made a promise and is committed

  178. by himself to do what to fulfilling it by himself Abraham only believed God and it was

  179. counted to him as what as righteousness Romans of the four verse 13 Romans of the four verse

  180. 13 to 22 for the promise look up please for the promise he will be the heir of the world was not

  181. to Abraham or to his seed through the law but through the righteousness of word of faith which

  182. means that Abraham never walk right to bring about the fulfillment of this covenant what was by faith

  183. he believed for if those who are of the law are his faith is made void and the promise made of

  184. no effect why because the law brings about wrath for where there is no law there is no transgression

  185. therefore it is of faith that it might be according to the great to grace yes and it will be according

  186. to grace so that the promise might be sure to all the seeds not only to those who are of the law

  187. because the law was not given to everyone are we together so but also to those who are of the faith

  188. of what of Abraham who is a father of us all as it is written I have made you a father of many nations

  189. in the presence of him whom he believed so Abraham believed God who gives life to the dead and call

  190. those things which do not exist as though they did as he did who contrary to hope in order to

  191. in a hope what happened relieved so that he become the father of many nations not only Israel many

  192. nations according to what was spoken so shall your descendants be look at genesis 18 genesis 22c

  193. and not being weak in faith he did not consider his own body already dead since he was about

  194. a hundred years old and the deadness of Sarah's womb he did not weaver at the promise of God

  195. through unbelief but was threatened in faith giving glory to God was 21 and being fully convinced

  196. of what that what he had promised who promised that God you see the here is capital what God had

  197. promised he was what he was able to do what fulfilled to perform and therefore it was accounted

  198. to him for what all right so what did Abraham did to receive the promise he believed hallelujah he

  199. believed importantly he believed he believed come to verse 23 25 now it was not written for his sake

  200. alone it was already for who for Abraham's sake alone for Abraham alone now this is where all of

  201. us come come in he says for his sake alone that it was imputed to him was 24 but also for who for us

  202. say for me for us it shall be what he shall be imputed to us who would who will do a work who

  203. will what who will believe in him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead verse 25 the last

  204. verse here who was delivered up because of what our offenses and was raised because of our

  205. justification so Abraham believed and he received the promised so you and I also will believe to

  206. receive this promise and to all who have believed we already have received this promise hallelujah

  207. now let's examine some more on this covenant when I say covenant somewhat as testament the new

  208. testament the all testament we're talking about the all covenant and the new covenant hallelujah

  209. he blew up the ed vasix yes he blew up the ed vasix but now he has obtained a more excellent ministry

  210. talking about Jesus in as much as he is also a mediator of a better cover now I want you to watch

  211. keenly the adjective used in describing this covenant the word here using describing the

  212. covenant is what better right what Jesus has obtained is what is a better covenant which was

  213. what which was established on what and better promises right so the word better here refers to

  214. what is eternal is not a comparison he's referring to the word better there is referring to something

  215. that is eternal something that is that does not end something that cannot be terminated cannot

  216. expire it is only a comparison to another promise to another covenant I have told you a lot on that

  217. there are two covenants but we are focusing on the covenant that was made to Abraham and we see the

  218. fulfillment in Christ hallelujah so Hebrews of the nine verse four keep watch Hebrews of the nine

  219. verse four which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant of a lane on all sides with

  220. gold in which were the golden pot that had the manna erron's road and the board that that boarded

  221. and the tablets of the covenant verse 15 verse 15 not 15 and for this reason he is a mediator of what

  222. the new covenant by means of what of death forward for redemption of the transgression

  223. under the first you see wait a minute I told you to take careful look at adjectives used to describe

  224. the covenant here previously what did we see the word using describing the covenant better covenant

  225. here what do we see we see new covenant all right for the redemption of the transgression

  226. under what the first covenant which means that there is a covenant called the first covenant

  227. that those who are called may receive the promise of what or the eternal inheritance all right so

  228. is what we call first covenant introduce here verse 17 to 21 jump to verse 17 to 21 for a testament

  229. what is the testament testament is varying toward a covenant for a testament is enforced after men

  230. are dead seeing it has no power at all while the tetos testator lives therefore not even the first

  231. the first word covenant was dedicated without blood so there is a first covenant right and there

  232. is a second covenant therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated with what without blood

  233. for when moses has spoken now you see now we've introduced another concept careful follow please

  234. there's no way i can explain this than reading it all right for when moses has spoken every precept

  235. to all the people according to the law he took the blood of the calves and the gods

  236. gouts which with water scarlet wool and hisaps and sprinkled both the book itself and all the

  237. people it's 20 same this is the blood of the covenant which god had commanded you now this

  238. covenant is an instruction to the people so we have a covenant that is to the people now this one

  239. is not talking about the covenant to ebra half verse 21 then likewise he sprinkled with the blood

  240. yes both the tabernacle and all the verses of ministry of the ministry jump to chapter 10 verse

  241. 15 chapter 10 verse 15 to 16 of hebrew but the holy spirit also witnessed to us for after he had

  242. said before this is a covenant that i will make with them after those days says the lord i will

  243. put my law in their hearts and in their minds i will write them verse 17 no chapter 12 rather

  244. move to chapter 12 verse 24 the 12th verse 24 to jesus the mediator of what of the new covenant

  245. please be taking note of the the adjectives of the new covenant and the blood of the sprinkling that

  246. speaks better things than that of ever chapter 13 verse 20 of hebrews chapter 13 verse 20 of hebrews

    Hebrews 13:20

  247. now may the god of peace who brought us up our who brought up our lord jesus christ from the dead

  248. that great shepherd of the sheep through the blood of what the everlasting world

  249. covenant so we can see his scriptures that what was used in describing we can see the word better

  250. covenant right we can see new covenant we can see everlasting covenant we can see first covenant

  251. right now let's contrast the old and the new covenant together in hebrews chapter seven

  252. hebrews chapter eight don't be confused please hebrews chapter eight from verse seven this way

  253. all this reading we've done will be properly settled for if that first covenant right had been

  254. faultless then no place will have been sought for a second i told you that there are two covenants

  255. right one covenant was made to ebrahim and another was made to the people of israel was it because

  256. finding fault with them he says behold the days are coming says the lord when i will make a new

  257. covenant with the house of israel and with the house of juda so god has made a covenant

  258. and he's making a new covenant all right what's nine known according to the covenant that i made

  259. with their fathers this is referring to which covenant in the day when i took them by hand to

  260. lead them out of the land of egypt so when god brought them out of egypt he entered a covenant

  261. with them because they did not continue in my covenant which covenant did they not continue

  262. that god had to do another covenant with them remember there was a covenant made to ebrahim

  263. which this will not continue in the covenant god made to ebrahim therefore god now introduced

  264. another covenant and i disregarded them says the lord of fasting for this is the covenant that i

  265. will make with the house of israel after those days says the lord i will what i will put my law

  266. in their mind and write them on their hearts i will be their god and they shall be my peoples

  267. eleven none of them shall teach his neighbor now we are not talking about we teaching you what

  268. you with this knowing in you amen in this covenant is annoying in who will receive the

  269. covenant none of them shall teach his neighbor and none of his brother saying no the lord for all

  270. shall know me from the least of them the greatest of them verse 12 for i will be merciful to your

  271. righteousness and their sins and their and their lawless deeds i will remember no more but starting

  272. the last verse he says in that he says a new covenant he has made the first what obsolete

  273. now what is becoming obsolete and going all you is ready to vanish so now let's have a recap god

  274. made a covenant with ebrahim all right and then years later moses had come has gone to egypt he

  275. has delivered the people of israel from egypt god made another covenant with people and then we see

  276. in this covenant god making promise of a new covenant do we understand the conversation here

  277. right good so is the first covenant or testimony referring to the all covenant is the question i

  278. want to ask is the first covenant referring to the all covenant look at hebrews of the that

  279. eight of the eight rather verse 13 from verse seven down to first 13 look to your scriptures

  280. first covenant had been fought less is no place will have been sought for a new a second all right

  281. because finding for with them he says we all the lord the days are coming says the lord when i will

  282. make a new covenant with the house of israel and with the house of judah so i asked the question i

  283. said is the first covenant or testimony referring to the all covenant all right yes it's truly yes

  284. so when the first covenant also when when was the first covenant what we also refer to as the all

  285. covenant instituted when they were brought out of egypt listen it's confusing or don't be confused the

  286. bible called what was established in egypt the first covenant what was done with ebran was not

  287. called the first covenant there was no even name for it yet i read together so we see eight chapter

  288. look at verse nine verse nine hebrews to eight verse nine not according to the covenant i made

  289. with their fathers in a day when i took them by the hand to lead them out of the land because

  290. they did not continue in my covenant and i disregarded them says the lord so the new

  291. covenant that is coming in the future will not be as the one which they disobeyed when they were

  292. coming out of egypt are we together so we've looked at what the first covenant is meaning the

  293. covenant that was made when they came out of egypt all right and we say that this covenant was made

  294. when they came out of egypt so when was the second covenant made are we lost look at that passage when

  295. was the second covenant also referred to as new covenant mate the second covenant is referred to

  296. the new covenant the first was referred to the old the second was referred to the new covenant

  297. the same so when was this made let's look at galatians of the four verse 14 then we close

  298. relations of the four verse 14 yes 27 and my trial which was in my flesh you did not

  299. despise or reject but you received me as an angel of god even as jesus christ was 15 what then was

  300. the blessing you enjoy for i bear you witness that if possible you will have plucked out your own

  301. eyes and given them to have i therefore become your enemy because i tell you the truth the

  302. zealousness they zealously cut you right but for no good yes they want to exclude you that you

  303. may be zealous for them not really right please three is it three or four my scripture here before

  304. it's three right all right three verse 14 yes that the blessing of abraham from verse 14 might

  305. come upon the gentiles in christ jesus that we may receive the promise of the of the spirit through

  306. faith now brethren verse 15 i speak in manner of men though it is only a man's covenant yet it is

  307. confirmed no one and also act to read verse 16 now to abraham and his seat where the promise made

  308. he does not say and to seats as of many now he's explaining the one that was made with abraham

  309. right as of many but as of one and to one seat who is christ so the covenant that was made with

  310. abraham is what is concerning christ right and i say this that the law which was 430 years when was

  311. 430 years 430 years was when they were coming out of what of egypt okay 30 years later cannot

  312. cannot unknown the covenant that was confirmed by god in christ so what was made out of egypt cannot

  313. unknow or cancel what was made with ebraham in the first place that he should make the promise of no

  314. effect so why would god make another covenant with them if he has made one with abraham for if the

  315. inheritance is of the law it is no longer of promise but god gave it to abraham by promise

  316. yes what purpose then was to serve the law it was added because of what because of transgression so

  317. god made a covenant with abraham which was based on what was based on faith now these people refused

  318. to work in faith therefore there was an introduction of a covenant which was made when

  319. they were coming out of egypt so it was added because of transgression till the seat should

  320. come to whom the promise was made and it was appointed through who through angels and by the

  321. hands of a mediator is it getting clearer verse 20 now a mediator does not mediate for only one

  322. but god is one verse 21 is the law then against the promise of god now is what god made out of

  323. egypt when you were coming out of egypt the promise or the covenant got entered and gave

  324. them regulations to do is it against that which god made with abraham certainly not for if there

  325. had been a law given which could have given life truly righteousness wouldn't have been by the law

  326. 22 but the scripture has confined all on under scene that the promise by faith in jesus christ

  327. might be given to those who believe but before faith came we were kept under god by law for

  328. kept for the faith which will afterwards be revealed therefore the law was what was a tutor

  329. was our tutor to bring us to christ that we might be justified by faith so what was introduced out

  330. of egypt even though it was a product of unbelief but in it contains what appointing toward to faith

  331. therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to christ that we might be justified by faith

  332. plus 25 but after faith has come we are no longer on that word under a tutor for you are all sons

  333. of god through faith in christ jesus for as many of you as we baptized into christ have what

  334. have put on christ so i want us to note this first of all the first covenant is referring to the

  335. covenant that was done out of egypt not with abraham remember i said first covenant is what

  336. is referring to the all covenant if you see first covenant put first covenant equal to all covenant

  337. write this equation first covenant is meaning is equal to all covenant and the first covenant

  338. which was the same thing as all covenant was found with fault why because they don't they didn't

  339. believe they couldn't even fulfill the one which god gave them then the second which is the one we

  340. see was promised to come which is what we call a new covenant in christ jesus now the all covenant

  341. which is which was the first will be the one given through moses abraham never lived under the all

  342. covenant are we together abraham was never under because 400 years later after abraham then there

  343. was an introduction of a covenant with the people so abraham never lived under this covenant now the

  344. new covenant or the second existed before the old you understand the new covenant existed before the

  345. old because the one that was promised to abraham is the same promise we see that was made right

  346. in christ jesus because the promise of abraham was about christ so the use of the word old and

  347. new does not refer to time all this confusion so that i will come to this one and tell you that

  348. when you see all and you are not referring to time okay so don't be don't don't say oh it's also it

  349. is before no all i knew is not referring to time are we together so it was added as galatians 3 19

  350. says it means it was laid down it was to fill a gap the law was for those who don't believe

  351. that which was given out of egypt was for those who don't believe who refused to believe that

  352. which was given to abraham they knew was meant to be eternal from when it was given to through

  353. abraham but the old was through moses are we together so when was the new covenant given

  354. uh when was the new covenant given if you get this one i will go and dance and rejoice when was a new

  355. covenant given to who to abraham hallelujah when was the all covenant given to the israelis were

  356. in the wilderness right to who through moses by angels why was it given because they refused to

  357. believe the new covenant which was given through abraham hello help me now hallelujah amen so the

  358. reality of the believer in christ is this he is no longer under the law i read together let me

  359. summarize and conclude you and i are ministers of the new covenant second corinthians of the three

  360. verse six you and i who are believers are ministers of that which was promised from abraham not the

  361. one in the wilderness which was based on faith and all that was promised to abraham was fully

  362. fulfilled in christ and it is yours by faith so you are included in everything that god had promised

  363. and made a covenant to fulfill the promise to abraham amen second corinthians three verse six

  364. who also made us what what are we we are sufficient as ministers of what of the new covenant

  365. not of the letter but of what of the spirit because the second the new covenant which was

  366. actually the one the first the the the one made with abraham is of the spirit for the letter

  367. kills but the spirit does what it gives life now let's put a mark here next time we're going to

  368. begin to look at this covenant that we have in this new covenant in conclusion god's promise

  369. to humanity was made long before the foundation of the world and this promise was the gift of what

  370. of eternal life and the indwelling of his spirit through faith from the very beginning god desire

  371. was for man to live in communion with him being led by this by his spirit however through the

  372. disobedience of adam we see that sin entered the world and humanity was separated from god from

  373. god's original intent now this covenant is from god's origin but god in his unfailing love made a

  374. covenant right man sinned and god entered into a covenant to do what committing to fulfill his

  375. promises through the lineage of abraham which pointed towards the ultimate fulfillment in christ

  376. now this covenant was not a contract between two equals but a divine commitment by god himself

  377. so that which god made with abraham was god's own divine commitment by himself to fulfill in christ

  378. sealed by his own off and integrity with a promise that through the seed of abraham all nations will

  379. be blessed as the prophets declared and jesus christ confirmed and the covenant was fulfilled

  380. in him through his life his death and his resurrection now today you and i amen the believer

  381. has has received the fulfillment of both god's promise and his covenant so you are a recipient

  382. of god's promise and his covenant in christ all the promises of god are what they are yes and

  383. they are amen and through the new and everlasting covenant we have been giving word the holy spirit

  384. hallelujah who dwells in us guiding us into what into all truth and he's empowering us to live a

  385. spirit let life amen no longer under the all covenant of the law which was temporary and

  386. found fault we now live under the better and eternal covenant one established by god's grace

  387. and faithfulness true faith in christ believers are complete having received all spiritual

  388. blessings and eternal life with the assurance that god's promise were fully realized in him

  389. so there is nothing that you lack that have not been supplied by christ therefore as ministers

  390. ministers rather of the new covenant we live in what in the reality of god's fulfilled promises

  391. eternal security in his covenant of grace to us hallelujah so all this is to bring us to this

  392. point i will understand that see we are partakers of the promise that was made to abraham and we

  393. cannot explain the promises of god which is a spirit without seeing how god entered into

  394. covenant to ensure that this is fulfilled and that has nothing to do with your doing what you

  395. do was exactly what abraham did what do you do you believe amen and even to function in this

  396. promise what do you do by faith not by works hallelujah so you are a legitimate recipient of

  397. recipient of god's grace you are a legitimate recipient of god's grace you have a share in it

  398. you are a partaker in it so when we say you begin to manifest the fruits of this promise

  399. the gifts that are in this promise you should know that you as a believer have a share in it

  400. because you believe hallelujah so when we begin to ask you to live the spirit of life we are saying

  401. that you have the capacity in you because you believe and you have received the promise and

  402. the covenant of god we say lay hand on the sick and the sick will be healed we are saying that

  403. you are a recipient of god's promise when we say that you are to preach we are saying that you are

  404. a partaker you are a minister of this new covenant when we speak and we say that no evil will harm

  405. you what we are saying that you are you are in christ you are covered in this covenant that is

  406. the reality of the believer hallelujah and by the time we begin to walk through we'll see

  407. how we can function in this the glory of god amen
