  1. Welcome to NECF Sermons.

  2. Each message here is designed to uplift and strengthen you in your walk with God.

  3. Don't miss out, stay with us until the end for our rewarding experience.

  4. Let's dive right in.

  5. Amen.

  6. Hallelujah.

  7. Yes, so we're welcome again.

  8. Let's begin from John 14, John chapter 14.

    John 14 chapter mention

  9. John chapter 14.

    John 14 chapter mention

  10. On Sunday we started another part in order to answer some questions of a series of messages

  11. which we started some, will I say, last year.

  12. Let's say a few months, we started it last year.

  13. And as I said, the entire series is titled, Issues Around Women's Liberty.

  14. And we looked at some issues which we were able to clarify through scriptures, particularly

  15. in regards to scripture in 1 Corinthians 14, talking about the woman keeping silent, what

  16. it exactly is for saying, it is for beating a woman from speaking in church.

  17. We were able to answer that question that that's not what he's talking about.

  18. And we were able to come into that conclusion by looking at scriptures from Genesis to Revelation

  19. and comparing it with many others.

  20. Even though some of the scripture we touched, we will come back to them again because we

  21. still have other things to discuss.

  22. Like, for example, should a woman cover their head in church?

  23. And should a woman wear trousers?

  24. We still have those issues to clarify.

  25. But all this actually are issues around women's liberty.

  26. And for every subject we said, if you must look at it, then you have to look at the entire

  27. Bible as a context.

  28. That no any topic of scriptures, if you want to really discuss it and know the heart of

  29. God, you have to read through the entire Bible.

  30. You cannot stay in one portion of the scriptures.

  31. Whatever Paul is saying will not be contradicting Peter because it's the same Holy Spirit.

  32. And why are we laying this foundation?

  33. It is because to come to us to understand that the author of what we call the Old Testament

  34. is the same author of what we call the New Testament.

  35. And that's what I want to establish.

  36. If I can be able to hit that very well into our heads, then we will be able to understand

  37. that whatever Paul said will not be different from what Peter said or contradict what Peter

  38. said.

  39. And will not also be contradicting, actually, what God says through Moses in Genesis.

  40. And the whole point there, where you find some seemingly contradiction is because we

  41. have not paid attention to read the whole scriptures together.

  42. I mean, to look at all those scriptures that appear from Genesis to Revelation.

  43. So that's the reason why we're trying to emphasize that for us to come to an understanding of

  44. every topic, so we have to read the entire Bible together.

  45. And we saw last, on Sunday, last meeting we had, we saw how Jesus actually, not just only

  46. that he spoke about it, he demonstrated it and showed to us how in correcting the disciples

  47. then about their unbelief in the resurrection or in the death, particularly, not really

  48. resurrection because they are confused about the death of Christ.

  49. And so he had to begin to mention to them, he said, oh, you fools, the foolish ones,

  50. you fools, it's law of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken.

  51. And he didn't say just prophets.

  52. In correcting them, he said prophets.

  53. So he didn't stay in one verse of the scriptures.

  54. Prophets have spoken.

  55. And then verse 26 of that, Luke 24, he said, Ought not Christ to have suffered these things

  56. in the Son and to enter into his glory.

  57. So what he's trying to say, he's summarizing what the prophets said concerning the Christ

  58. that he will suffer and then he will enter his glory.

  59. And how did you go about actually explaining all these things to them?

  60. He started from Genesis and exactly from Genesis.

  61. And we saw how he went there.

  62. And verse 27 of that, Luke 24 says, and beginning at Moses and in all the scriptures, right?

  63. In all the scriptures, he expounded onto them the things concerning himself.

  64. We saw also by the time you read down where, when he made them, because here he was explaining

  65. to Cleopas and his companion.

  66. And by the time he made them also in a group, verse 44.

  67. He tells, he says again, that he also goes to them in the son, in all the scriptures.

  68. He said, those things have to happen.

  69. They have to be fulfilled.

  70. Those things that have been mentioned or prophesied by the law, the prophets and the Psalms.

  71. And we saw that the Psalms is not just the book of Psalms, that the Psalms is a collection

  72. of books, what is called the writings.

  73. And we said the same, what we call the Old Testament today we have is the same that the

  74. same books that the Jewish Tanakh have, the Jewish Tanakh.

  75. And we say the difference is just some arrangement of books and how they are put together.

  76. Why today, modern day, we classify them into different ways in the Jewish Tanakh is a different

  77. form of classification, which we saw last time.

  78. Okay, so today we will just continue from there.

  79. And then there are some few things I need to clarify.

  80. And then before we now start the journey, real journey, because there are a lot of things

  81. we have to come to that understanding.

  82. And as I said, in today's, we're just continuing from what we started on Sunday.

  83. What is God's original plan or intention for creating a woman?

  84. Because it appears that the culture we're into and this is what actually from the what

  85. we call the Old Testament.

  86. I mean, don't mind me when I say what we call, I mean, if you're in this church, you understand

  87. what I mean always when I say what we call because even though we're going to go back

  88. to that teaching again, but we have already established that when we talk about the idea

  89. of Old Testament and New Testament, they're not actually books, they're not actually books.

  90. If you look at just like we said, how to know that they are not actually books first and

  91. foremost is to look at what did Jesus use to teach the gospel.

  92. What I just quoted in Luke, you understand, concerning himself, what did he use?

  93. So if you call that the message of the gospel or about the death and the resurrection of

  94. Jesus is a New Testament, then what did they use to teach that?

  95. In the days of the apostles and Jesus, we never had anything we call today the New Testament.

  96. But from which text did they use to teach?

  97. When the Bible says in Acts chapter two, and they were committed or they dedicated themselves,

  98. they are committed to the apostles teachings, what were they using?

  99. They were using the one we call Old Testament today.

  100. The apostles never call it Old Testament because that was their text.

  101. The Jesus never call it the Old Testament because that was his text of teaching.

  102. When he said, Lord, I come in the volume of the books that was written concerning me,

  103. Hebrews chapter 10, he was referring to these books, Genesis to Malachi.

    Hebrews 10 chapter mention

  104. So he was not referring to what we call the New Testament today.

  105. You understand?

  106. So actually that division, if you are not careful, sometimes can be misleading.

  107. So not that we can say there is nothing like Old Testament or New Testament.

  108. No, there is something that is called Old Testament and there is something that is called

  109. New Testament.

  110. But there are no books in this time.

  111. There are no books because as we saw is the idea of one man's way of, I mean, coming,

  112. thinking of coming into relationship with God as a way of unbelief, the way of disobedience,

  113. the way of the law in the sun, the way of works.

  114. That's the Old Testament.

  115. And then the way of faith, the way that we believe in Christ, that's the way of the New

  116. Testament.

  117. It's not a way of works.

  118. It's a way of faith.

  119. That's the New Testament.

  120. And we're going to explain that in some of our subsequent teachings so that we understand.

  121. So I said we should go to John 14.

  122. So let's start from John 14 to finish off what we started.

  123. I want to just go down to let's say 22.

  124. Look at 22, John 14.

  125. 22.

  126. Judas, not his carrier, said to him, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself

  127. to us and not to the world?

  128. And Jesus answered and said to him, if anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my father

  129. will love him and we will come to him and make our home with him.

  130. He who does not love me does not keep my words and the word which you hear is not mine, but

  131. the Father's who sent me.

  132. I want you to know that also.

  133. The word which you hear is not mine, but my Father's who has sent me.

  134. These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.

  135. But the helper, I want you to know 25.

  136. These things have I spoken to you while being present with you.

  137. So there are things he has communicated while he was present.

  138. And he has noted that those words are not just words that he invented there and then.

  139. I want you to know that again, verse 24.

  140. There were no words that he just invented.

  141. He just created it out of nowhere.

  142. No.

  143. He was trying to say that those words, you understand, they are of his Father's who sent

  144. him.

  145. Remember when Paul was talking in 2 Timothy, he was saying that the word which you hear

  146. was talking in 2 Timothy, verse 3, verse 16, that all scriptures are given by the inspiration

  147. of God.

  148. So we are coming to that.

  149. But look at verse 25.

  150. He says, these things have I spoken to you while being present with you.

  151. But the helper, who is the helper, he said the Holy Spirit.

  152. So the helper is the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send.

  153. Because at that moment, the Spirit has not indwell any man.

  154. He said, whom the Father will send in my name.

  155. That word is not who will send mentioning my name.

  156. That's not, you know, sometimes when we see in the name, you know, anywhere in scripture,

  157. we just think that he's talking about like in Mark, he said, in my name you will cast

  158. out demons.

  159. No, he's not saying in the mentioning my name, you will cast out demons.

  160. That's not, that's not.

  161. So whom the Father will send in my name.

  162. He will teach you all things, of course, in the name he's talking about the resurrection,

  163. that is, his accomplishment.

  164. That's what we say.

  165. Name means repetition or accomplishment.

  166. So that means the Spirit will not come except Jesus is resurrected.

  167. Because that's what he will send in my name means he will send after I have accomplished

  168. what I was prophesied to in this time.

  169. There is an accomplishment he was to prophesied.

  170. That is his name in this time, which also Philippians 2, when you read from verse 5

  171. down to I think 12, tells us the name in this time, which is above every other name.

  172. Okay.

  173. He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to

  174. you.

  175. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives.

  176. Do I give you, let not your heart be troubled, never let it be afraid.

  177. Now, there is something we have to clarify, which I started last, what do you call it,

  178. last or Sunday last meeting.

  179. Now, he said he would teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that

  180. I said to you.

  181. So while holding this path, come to Luke, I want to show you something.

  182. So that means what Jesus is saying that there are things he just said, but he didn't explain

  183. them in the sun.

  184. Or let's take that for now in the sun.

  185. Then when this helper comes, he will bring to their remembrance.

  186. Now, I want you to see Luke 24 verse 44.

    Luke 24:44

  187. He said, then he said to them, these are the words which I spoke to you while I was still

  188. with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses and

  189. the prophets and the Psalms concerning me.

  190. Which means that by saying these are the words which I spoke to you, remember Luke 24 encounter

  191. was an encounter after the resurrection.

  192. In Acts chapter 1, it tells us this encounter took 40 days.

    Acts 1 chapter mention

  193. So I want you to know that.

  194. So that means Jesus had been teaching, understand.

  195. He taught in several parts and then he told them a lot of things, but they couldn't get

  196. it.

  197. Even now when he was going over what he told them and then explaining to them from Genesis

  198. to Revelation, here and there he has said those things before.

  199. You understand?

  200. But they didn't understand obviously and that was why they were sad when he died.

  201. Because remember what in Matthew 16, after the great confession of faith, will I say,

  202. by Peter and then some few verses later and then Jesus was telling them how he would die

  203. and Peter said, go for a beat.

  204. He called him by the side and said, hey, don't be saying that one now.

  205. Why would you say you would die?

  206. Understand?

  207. And you know the way they put it, but then Jesus said, get behind me Satan.

  208. Now you can imagine the person who just mentioned that Jesus Christ is the son of God, but then

  209. later on he said, no, you can't die.

  210. That means it's something they didn't understand what he was been saying in the son.

  211. So although Christ has been mentioning to them, they never understood.

  212. And the question is, was Jesus talking about when he used the word that in John chapter

    John 14 chapter mention

  213. 14, when he said, he would teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that

  214. I said to you.

  215. Was Jesus talking about that they will forget what the Holy Spirit will remind them?

  216. Is that what he's saying?

  217. That the Holy Spirit will remind them what he said?

  218. And there are some few scriptures we can explore to help us with that.

  219. Because if you stay in this scripture, it will just mean that Jesus was saying that

  220. that they will forget some things, but then the Holy Spirit will come and then give them

  221. some remind them what Jesus said, meaning that to recall what Jesus told them.

  222. But that is not what he's saying.

  223. But then before we go, let me also add a scripture in just move to my John 16.

  224. John 16 say also something similar to that.

  225. In the son, John 16 verse 12 and 13.

    John 16:12

  226. Now it added something that makes us to know why Jesus likely is saying that.

  227. So that's why we need to take it serious.

  228. Now John 16 verse 12 says, I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot be a

    John 16:12

  229. part of them now.

  230. If you go to John 14, if you look at 25, you could see something similar like that.

  231. 25 looks like verse 12 of John 16.

  232. Because in John 14 verse 25, we say, these things have I spoken to you while being present

    John 14:25

  233. with you.

  234. So there are things he spoke to them while being present with them.

  235. Then verse 26 says, but the helper, you understand that suggests here that what Jesus was saying

  236. in the present, then the Holy Spirit will come, you understand, and do something with

  237. what he told them somehow in the sun.

  238. But then verse 12 said, I still have many things to sell you, you understand, but you

  239. cannot be at them now.

  240. Wow.

  241. So that means they cannot be as some things that Jesus supposed to say.

  242. There are many things Jesus ought to say, but he couldn't say them, obviously, because

  243. he has already understood that they couldn't be at them.

  244. What is that word, be at them now?

  245. Okay, when we continue to read verse 13 says, however, when he, the spirit of truth has

  246. come, he will guide you into all truth.

  247. He will guide you into all truth for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatsoever

  248. he hears, he will speak and he will tell you the things to come.

  249. So now, now Jesus added another thing, it seems to add, it looks as if this is to add,

  250. because you remember, John 14 seems to say as if the Holy Spirit will just make them

  251. to remember what he has already told them.

  252. But John 16 is coming to as if suggest more, as if to suggest more, you understand.

  253. If you just read them by face value, it will as if look like John 14 is saying different

  254. thing and John 16 is saying another different thing, understand.

  255. So but the first thing we need to clarify is to clarify from John 14 verse 26, what

    John 14:26

  256. is our word remember or what is it?

  257. And remember, we've already done that in some way, that word remember.

  258. I want you to just go come back in the same John.

  259. You know, that's why we said, sometimes we are patient and read the same book.

  260. The answer could be in the same book, the same John have used that word several times.

  261. All we need to do is to read through where those words appear, that word remember in

  262. that context, in the staff.

  263. Let's go back to John chapter two first.

  264. That's the first place where I want to note that word remember.

  265. Look at John chapter two, verse 19.

  266. Jesus answered and said to them.

  267. Remember when you go back, you see where the issue started, understand.

  268. Was that in the Passover of the Jewish was at hand and Jesus went up to Jerusalem and

  269. he found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and the money changers doing business.

  270. Verse 15, when he had made a whip of a cord, he dropped them all out of the temple with

  271. the sheep and the oxen and pour out the money changers, out the changers' money and overturned

  272. the tables.

  273. Verse 16, and he said to those who sold those, take these things away.

  274. Do not make my father's house a house of merchandise.

  275. Verse 17, then his disciples remembered.

  276. Please, I want you to know that.

  277. His disciples remembered that it is written, zeal for your house has eaten me up.

  278. Zeal of his house has eaten me up.

  279. I want you to note that word the disciples remember.

  280. Now at this point, wait a minute, is he saying that they recall?

  281. Is that what they are saying?

  282. Because by quoting a scripture, is he just saying that they recall that somewhere, if

  283. you say recall, if you are going to put recall as remember, the first thing you need to note

  284. is that when that scripture was mentioned, did they mention Jesus there?

  285. How did they relate that Jesus, that word, that quotation or prophecy to Christ?

  286. Are you with me?

  287. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?

  288. Because for example, when they said somebody will betray Jesus, did they say Judas?

  289. Did they mention and put Judas' name there?

  290. So the point I'm trying to say that we have done a lot of prophecies in this text, in

  291. the sense that Jesus fulfilled, for example, he brought a call of my son from Egypt, and

  292. a virgin shall give birth to him.

  293. When those texts were written and there was no name there, mention that.

  294. This is exactly Christ.

  295. How do we know today that these were prophecies and then Christ came to fulfill them?

  296. It's by the Spirit.

  297. The Spirit now brought this understanding to us.

  298. It is because of the explanation, and then that was when we knew that those prophecies

  299. were actually prophecies about the Christ.

  300. But in the context originally when those people were mentioning them in the Bible, likely

  301. they were not even thinking about Christ.

  302. Because like we saw in many other texts, Psalms 22, when he said, my God, my God, why have

  303. thou forsaken me?

  304. David was saying that because of the trouble he was in.

  305. But in the prophetic, he was actually reciting the words of Jesus.

  306. And then we saw the words being actually spoken by Jesus on the cross.

  307. So the first thing that you begin to raise some, that that might not be, because it wouldn't

  308. mean if Jesus' name was attached there, then you would likely say, oh, they remember, there

  309. is a place, they say Jesus, he will say about him that he is the zeal of the Lord.

  310. This must be a realization only by the Spirit, you understand?

  311. An explanation that the Spirit has opened up to open a scripture.

  312. Remember we have told us mystery means that it is a truth but not loud.

  313. Not that it is hidden.

  314. Although today in English when you say something is mysterious, you are just saying that it

  315. is not known.

  316. It is completely hidden, covered, so to say.

  317. We saw that when the Bible writers use the word mystery, they are really talking about

  318. something that is written but it is not loud, meaning that it is not, it is silent.

  319. That's the point again, you understand?

  320. It is silent.

  321. Silent doesn't mean it is not there.

  322. Silent just means that it is there but it is not spoken loudly, you understand?

  323. And then when the Spirit came and then He now took those verses and made them loud and

  324. said this is what was written and that's exactly what they meant.

  325. These scriptures when Moses said this is a prophet like unto me shall be this, this,

  326. this, you understand?

  327. He was not talking about raising a child.

  328. He was talking about the resurrection.

  329. That was by the Spirit they understood.

  330. So here He is not talking about recollects, remembering.

  331. Now let's continue.

  332. So the Jews answered, because you understand again, Father, verse 18, so the Jews answered

  333. and said to him, what sign do you show to us since you do these things?

  334. You know when you read verse 17 and then you continue, it will look as if verse 17 happened

  335. at the time when Jesus, close to the Passover, you understand?

  336. Until you read down you understand that verse 17 was something that happened later, you

  337. understand?

  338. So verse 18, I'll come back to it.

  339. So the Jews answered and said to him, what sign do you show to us since you do these

  340. things?

  341. Jesus answered verse 19 and said to them, destroy these temples in three days.

  342. I will raise it up.

  343. Then the Jews said, it has taken 46 years to build this temple and will you raise it

  344. up in three days?

  345. But he was speaking of the temple of his body, Pascha 22, therefore, when he had risen from

  346. the dead, his disciples remembered when he has risen from the dead, his disciples remembered.

  347. That means that was not what happened there and then.

  348. It happened later on when he had risen.

  349. They remembered that he had said these to them and they believed the scripture and the

  350. word which Jesus had said.

  351. Now you will now, by the time you reach this place, you will now understand with me that

  352. verse 17 also, they did not remember, which means they did not understand that scripture

  353. that said the zeal of your house has eaten me up, they did not understand when the event

  354. was happening before his death.

  355. I mean, before his death, yes.

  356. They understood that when he was zealous and threw away those who were doing merchandise

  357. in the temple, they remembered.

  358. In other words, they understood that that was a fulfillment of prophecy from that scripture,

  359. the zeal for your house has eaten me up.

  360. The same way they understood later on that he was not talking about the temple, he was

  361. talking about his body.

  362. But when did they understand it?

  363. They understood it when he had risen in a blanket.

  364. No, the spirit of God.

  365. We saw how Jesus spent time in the 40 days with them, explaining to them that he told

  366. them he will die.

  367. And from where did he tell them?

  368. He told them from the scriptures, but they never understood it.

  369. So that what remembered or remembrance, it means understanding or understand.

  370. So come with me to John 12 also.

  371. Come with me to John 12.

  372. Let me show you another scripture also that help us clarify that.

  373. Look at verse 12.

  374. The next day, a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was

  375. coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him and cried out,

  376. O, son of blessed or blessed.

  377. I say what to lose that is blessed.

  378. Hallelujah.

  379. Okay.

  380. Blessed.

  381. Is he who comes in the name of the law, the king of Israel?

  382. Verse 14, then Jesus, when he had found a young donkey, sat on it as it is written,

  383. fear not, daughter of Zion.

  384. Verse 15, behold, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey's coals.

  385. Look at verse 16, all of you, please pay attention.

  386. He said his disciples did not understand these things.

  387. At what?

  388. At first.

  389. But when Jesus was glorified, they did what?

  390. Then they remembered that these things were written about in him and that they had done

  391. these things to him.

  392. So you could see that remembered means understanding.

  393. They understood.

  394. When did they understand?

  395. He said, when Jesus was glorified, that was what exactly John 2 was telling us.

  396. He said when Jesus had risen, meaning when Jesus had been glorified, they understood

  397. that he was not talking about the temple.

  398. He was talking about his body.

  399. They understood that he was not talking about just throwing people's things.

  400. They said, it's not that he was angry.

  401. You know, some people say Jesus was angry, you know, and the anger is part of man.

  402. Even Jesus was angry.

  403. He was like, weep to everybody, brother, that is not anger.

  404. The Bible said the zeal of the Lord.

  405. You understand?

  406. The zeal.

  407. Hallelujah.

  408. So the point is that you could see that that word remembrance, remembered.

  409. This is, we're just here in John, we didn't move out of John.

  410. We're just reading.

  411. We get to understand that, that word remembered means understanding.

  412. Okay, so let's move to John 14 again.

  413. Let's read it again.

  414. Let's read John 14.

  415. Are we together?

  416. Are you in John 14?

  417. Yes.

  418. So read it again.

  419. He said, these things have I spoken you while being present with you.

  420. Verse 26 now, but the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the father will send in my name, he will

  421. teach you all things.

  422. He will teach you all things and bring to your understanding.

  423. Oh, did you get what I'm trying to say?

  424. And bring to your remembrance, meaning I'm bringing to your understanding all things

  425. that I said to you, all things I said to you.

  426. Now when you move to 16, chapter 16, you now understand that, ah, that means there is a

  427. factor in the revelation of scriptures.

  428. And the factor is the Holy Spirit.

  429. And so he said, I have still many things to say to you.

  430. And besides what Jesus taught, listen, even what Jesus taught, he said they will have

  431. understood it.

  432. And we saw it when he was teaching about the temple, they never understood.

  433. When they saw him actually throwing people that are doing much and nice in the temple,

  434. they never understood.

  435. So there are plenty of things he taught them.

  436. They never understood it.

  437. It's very obvious when you read the last part, particularly Luke 24, when you read this.

  438. They never understood about his death.

  439. They never understood about the prophecy.

  440. They never understood so many.

  441. And that was why they were angry.

  442. In fact, they went and locked themselves because they were afraid of the Jews.

  443. So they were not happy that Jesus died.

  444. They said, see, all our hope has been dashed.

  445. But Jesus had told them not just only that many of the things I have said to you, the

  446. Holy Spirit will make you to understand, but then also that there are things that I have

  447. not even said them, because he said, I have still many things to tell you, many things

  448. to tell you.

  449. You understand?

  450. I have still many things to say to you, but you cannot be at him now.

  451. However, remember, all these places I'm talking about is not you.

  452. It's the disciples, it's the apostles he's talking about there, it's disciples.

  453. You understand?

  454. It's not you.

  455. You understand?

  456. So however, when he, the Spirit of Truth was starting of John 16, he will guide you into

  457. all truths, guide you into all truths.

  458. For he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears, he will speak and he

  459. will tell you the things to come.

  460. What are those things to come?

  461. That's why Jesus said, there are many things I need to tell you, but you cannot be at them

  462. now.

  463. These are the things to come that Jesus is saying the Spirit will reveal.

  464. Remember again, these things to come, they were not things that have not been mentioned.

  465. Just the same way, the things Jesus already taught them, they never understood.

  466. You understand?

  467. The things to come are things that have already been mentioned, already been spoken of by

  468. the prophets, but they are in the mystery.

  469. You understand?

  470. He said, he will tell you the things to come.

  471. He will tell you the things to come.

  472. That tell, if you look at it contextually, it will mean he will reveal.

  473. That's what it means.

  474. He will reveal to you the things to come.

  475. And so there are things, you understand?

  476. And I want you to see, there are many things that Jesus did not say.

  477. It is after the Holy Spirit arrived, in dwellment, and then those things were revealed to the

  478. apostles.

  479. Are we together?

  480. Those things were.

  481. So many things concerning is death, burial, and resurrection, because at the time the

  482. death has not occurred.

  483. At the time he has not resurrected.

  484. At the time he has not ascended, meaning he has not indwell any man.

  485. So he said he would tell you the things to come.

  486. To the disciples at that moment when Jesus was speaking, those things were the things

  487. to come.

  488. They are the things to come.

  489. Look at, look at Acts.

  490. Look at, look at the words of Peter.

  491. Jesus said he will resurrect after three days, but he never mentioned these things that will

  492. happen.

  493. Look at Acts 2-2 from verse 14.

  494. But Peter standing up with the eleven raised his voice and said to them, men of Judea and

  495. all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and heed my word, for these are not

  496. drunk as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.

  497. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Jehovah.

  498. Look at it.

  499. He quoted, and he shall come to pass.

  500. In the last days says God that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh.

  501. Oh my goodness.

  502. On all flesh.

  503. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.

  504. Your young men shall see visions.

  505. Your old men shall dream dreams.

  506. And your maidservant and your maidservant will be poured out my spirit in those days.

  507. And they shall prophesy.

  508. I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath, blood and fire and vapor

  509. of smoke.

  510. The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the

  511. great and awesome day of the Lord.

  512. And he shall come to pass.

  513. That whosoever call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

  514. Men of Israel, hear this word.

  515. Jesus of Nazareth, the man, attested by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs when

  516. God did through him in your midst as yourselves also know him being delivered by the determined

  517. purpose and full knowledge of God, you have taken by lowless hand, have crucified and

  518. put to death whom God raised up having lose the pains of death because it was not possible

  519. that he should be held by it.

  520. For David says concerning him, for I foresaw the Lord always being before my face for he

  521. is at my right hand that I may not be shaken.

  522. Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue was glad.

  523. Moreover my flesh also will raise in hope for you will not leave my soul in Hades, nor

  524. will you allow your Holy One to see corruption.

  525. You have made known to me the ways of life.

  526. You make me full of joy in your presence.

  527. Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David that he is both dead

  528. and buried and his tomb is with us today, to this day.

  529. They are for being a prophet and knowing that God has sworn with an oath to him that of

  530. the fruit of his body according to the flesh he will raise up Christ to sit on his throne.

  531. He was seeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of Christ that his soul was not left in Hades.

  532. Jesus said I will rise on the second day.

  533. And then the apostles came and they were clarifying many details that we didn't know.

  534. No, the flesh sees corruption.

  535. This Jesus has raised up of whom of which we are all witnesses.

  536. They are for being exalted to the right hand of God and having received from the Father

  537. the promise of the Spirit pour out this which you now see and hear.

  538. For David did not ascend into the heavens but he says himself, the Lord said to my Lord,

  539. sit at my right hand till I make your enemies your foots, therefore.

  540. I mean you continue to read, you see these brethren, they pick those scriptures that

  541. look mysterious before.

  542. Now I see they are not talking about the Christ, now opening up again to us that this is actually

  543. what they mean.

  544. They were discussing about the Christ death, Christ resurrection, bringing out details.

  545. This is what remember means.

  546. This is what the things to come means.

  547. Are we together?

  548. This is what the things to come.

  549. Glory to Jesus.

  550. So let me read some things about Paul.

  551. Just some few verses.

  552. Look at Ephesians chapter 3.

    Ephesians 3 chapter mention

  553. I think I love that one too.

  554. In the same Ephesians chapter 3.

    Ephesians 3 chapter mention

  555. Come with me to Ephesians chapter 3 verse 1.

    Ephesians 3:1

  556. It said, For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus, for you, Gentiles, if indeed

  557. you have heard of the dispensation of grace, that what dispensation we said is the worship

  558. of grace of God, which was given to me for you.

  559. How that by revelation, not that one, how that by what?

  560. Revelation he made known to me the mystery as I have briefly written.

  561. So now, mystery now is now revealed.

  562. Mystery is revealed by which when you read, you will understand my knowledge in the mystery

  563. of Christ, which is in other ages was not meant to the sons of man as it has now been

  564. revealed by the spirit of God.

  565. That is a game changer.

  566. When he, the spirit of truth is come, when the helper come, he will remind you all the

  567. things I've said.

  568. And also he will show you the things to come.

  569. By the time you read John 14, John 16, the things to come is the Holy Spirit.

  570. That is a game changer by the spirit to his holy apostles and prophets that the Gentiles

  571. should be fellow hairs of the same body.

  572. Up unto, listen, this is a mystery.

  573. People used to think that the Israelite is the only special people of God.

  574. You understand what I'm saying?

  575. It has been hidden.

  576. Says to God, reject every nation.

  577. You only take only one nation.

  578. Looks God as if he's a tribal bigot.

  579. Or whatever he call him.

  580. You know, he's a bigot.

  581. We're a tribalistic person.

  582. And now he say no, no, no, no, that in Christ all are included.

  583. That in his plan, that is revealing the mysteries.

  584. And that's the mystery that the Gentiles should also be fellow hairs of the same body and

  585. partakers of his promise in Christ through the gospel.

  586. Of which I became a minister according to the grace.

  587. Now when you read many other scriptures, of course, one popular one in the sun, which

  588. we have been reading every day is first Corinthians chapter two.

  589. In the sound we started reading from verse seven in the sound go to 10.

  590. You will see that is the spirit that review.

  591. He talks about eyes have not seen years have not heard.

  592. No, it has ever come to the heart of man.

  593. The things that the Lord has prepared for those who love him.

  594. But he said, but these things has been revealed to us by who is a by the spirit, by this

  595. way.

  596. That was what Jesus was saying.

  597. So that remembrance means understanding.

  598. Nobody will read the Bible.

  599. They wouldn't understand.

  600. And that is a problem with the entire Pharisee.

  601. The status is which we saw on a Sunday.

  602. They are not knowing the scripture.

  603. What is the game changer is the Holy Spirit that opens scriptures.

  604. You understand?

  605. And that's why he opened it to the apostles.

  606. You wrote the mysteries just like we read in Ephesians.

  607. And then he said, what do we do today for us?

  608. He said, when you read, you will also understand.

  609. So our own the mystery has been revealed.

  610. There's nothing to be revealed.

  611. He has already revealed it to those people.

  612. He told them, I will ensure the Holy Spirit reveal it to you or make you to remember or

  613. understand it.

  614. You understand?

  615. And they documented.

  616. So what do we supposed to do is to study it because Paul told the church at Ephesians,

  617. he said, when you read, you will also understand.

  618. So how do we come into the understanding of the revelation of God?

  619. By reading today, by reading what was revealed, by reading what was revealed.

  620. And that's why we have said that reading is not just casual reading.

  621. You understand?

  622. That reading is a committed, diligent reading, a reading that is properly, a reading that

  623. is true.

  624. So in our, in our bid to answer all these questions, we will read through the Bible.

  625. You understand?

  626. We will read through.

  627. And I want to just give us some last part.

  628. What can we learn from all this?

  629. What is what again I've emphasized.

  630. Again, all that text is Colossians, Peter and the rest.

  631. And that's why we hold Genesis to Revelation as the scriptures.

  632. Why is the scripture?

  633. Because all of it came from the same source.

  634. All of it came from the same source.

  635. The words that Jesus taught when he was here, the scriptures Genesis to Malachi was a product

  636. of the Holy Spirit, was the product of the Holy Spirit.

  637. Second Peter 1, 20 and 21 shows to us that it is not a private interpretation.

  638. It didn't come from the, from the, from the initiation or the initiative of man.

  639. You understand?

  640. But the Holy Spirit moves.

  641. You understand?

  642. So the Genesis to Malachi is a product of the Holy Spirit.

  643. You understand?

  644. The same text Jesus used.

  645. So what do you call it?

  646. Matthew to Luke is also the product of the Holy Spirit.

  647. Again he told them what I taught you, you understand?

  648. What he taught them, from where did he teach?

  649. The same text the Holy Spirit gave.

  650. So whatever Jesus taught in the gospels which we read today is also the product of the Holy

  651. Spirit because he didn't invent it.

  652. Not that word.

  653. Jesus never invented anything.

  654. To explain himself, he went through Genesis to Malachi.

  655. All the teaching he told them, read Luke 24 verse 44.

    Luke 24:44

  656. He said, all the things I taught you, I told you, you understand?

  657. He said they are the things, all things concerning me, which were spoken, you understand?

  658. That all those things will be fulfilled, which were written by the law, the prophets and

  659. the saints.

  660. So the gospels, the four gospels are also the product of the Spirit.

  661. But there is so much to be said.

  662. They are not all that needs to be said.

  663. After all, they only address some portions of what was talked about.

  664. Remember he told them that ought not Christ to have suffered, it captured his life and

  665. suffering.

  666. But there is a major part that has not been captured, which already also the prophet has

  667. spoken about it, that is Genesis to Malachi.

  668. That is his resurrection and ascension.

  669. The details have not been captured.

  670. That was what he wanted to tell them, to say to them, but they couldn't be I.E.

  671. He told them when the Spirit of truth is come.

  672. So through the apostles he brought them, which means that Genesis to Malachi, the product

  673. of the Spirit, Matthew to John, the product of the Spirit, the entire epistles, sorry,

  674. Matthew because the eyewitness account also from the Acts of Apostles to the entire epistle,

  675. also the product of the Spirit.

  676. The product of the Spirit.

  677. So all this Bible, brother, as you hold them, none of it is the word of man.

  678. Genesis to Revelation, none of it is the word of man.

  679. So don't let nobody de-beseem you.

  680. No, this is what Paul said.

  681. No, this is Paul's view.

  682. This is Peter's view.

  683. We know that Jesus, we follow the teachings of Jesus.

  684. I mean, you are confused.

  685. The teaching of Jesus is through the apostles.

  686. Those things he told them when the Spirit of truth is come, it will give you understanding.

  687. And this man wrote those revelation and understanding.

  688. So all the scripture is the word of Jesus.

  689. All the scripture is a word of the Spirit.

  690. Glory to God.

  691. And that's why you must handle them both with care.

  692. So you cannot take one portion and run with it because it's the same author.

  693. There is no confusion.

  694. You understand?

  695. Except you agree there is confusion in God, then that means you may not be a believer.

  696. But if you did not, you understand that there is no confusion.

  697. You just need to lead them together.

  698. You cannot pick one verse.

  699. You must understand them together.

  700. So in trying to clarify the word to answer the questions that what is the original plan

  701. of God creating a woman, we cannot use one verse.

  702. We cannot use one book.

  703. That's why you have to be patient.

  704. We will go through a lot, brother.

  705. That is how it is.

  706. Because God has given us this text, so we have to be diligent.

  707. So we will start from Genesis.

  708. We will go gradually up until we come to the Epistos because all of it is a word of one

  709. author or one principal author.

  710. That is the Holy Spirit.

  711. And he cannot actually be saying one thing here and then he will say another thing here.

  712. No.

  713. We will see through culture of men.

  714. And that's why when you see the way women are given opportunities in the text of Genesis

  715. to Revelation is different because they never had understanding of what we have.

  716. The Spirit is a game changer.

  717. So many of the things we have today by the Revelation through the apostles, we never

  718. had them because they are in the mystery.

  719. But now, glory to God, it has been revealed unto us.

  720. And Paul says, when you read, you will understand.

  721. When you read, you will understand.

  722. And that is key.

  723. And then lastly, let me just introduce what we will go next time.

  724. Glory to God.

  725. Come to me to Genesis.

  726. Let's go back to Genesis.

  727. Genesis chapter one.

  728. So let me just say what we will start the next time God gives us opportunity.

  729. Yes.

  730. Look at verse, so we will start from verse 26.

  731. Then God said, let us make man in our image according to our likeness.

  732. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the

  733. cattle, over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeped on the earth.

  734. Verse 27.

  735. So God created man in his own image.

  736. In the image of God, he created him, male and female.

  737. He created them.

  738. Then God blessed them.

  739. And God said to them, be fruitful and multiply.

  740. Fulfill the earth and subdue it.

  741. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds, over the air, over every living

  742. thing that moves on the earth.

  743. So the first thing I want you to note here when we come, we're going to answer a lot

  744. of things going forward.

  745. The first thing we have to clarify, well, the first thing you have to see first before

  746. we start clarifying anything.

  747. The first thing you have to see is that he said, let us make man in our image.

  748. That means that man is generic, is male and female.

  749. And I want you to note also that the male and female are created in the image of God.

  750. That means they have the same identity.

  751. If I want you to get it, you must get it today because we are going to start to discuss some

  752. things also.

  753. Because you know, the way you look at a woman, you know, our culture, we're trying to correct

  754. some many things here in the sun.

  755. That is what you call a male because that male man or female, you know, I want you to

  756. note that, that the male and the female are both in the image of God, male and female,

  757. male and female.

  758. So that means the man had the same identity with the woman.

  759. Hallelujah.

  760. Now, when we come back, we want to clarify what is that image.

  761. And please, I want you to note that we're not going to assume we will read.

  762. Listen, what we'll do is that maybe you can start and go and start doing that.

  763. But just type on since we have shown you BLB even before we come, you know, just type image

  764. and look at through everywhere image appear in the Bible.

  765. Let me tell you, we will read all of them.

  766. You understand, we will read all of them and understand.

  767. Because we don't want to pick image only and stay in Genesis and pick the image here and

  768. then maybe in somewhere in Genesis, the image is somebody else.

  769. You understand?

  770. So we will take it from there and then read everywhere where image appears.

  771. You understand, especially that in relation to man, not even animals first and foremost,

  772. we will go through it and understand what does it mean to be in the image of God?

  773. What does it mean?

  774. What does it mean?

  775. Glory to Jesus.

  776. Hallelujah.

  777. Yes, we will stop here.

  778. We appreciate you being here today.

  779. We hope you carry this word with you throughout your week.
