  1. Welcome to NECF Sermons. Each message here is

  2. designed to uplift and strengthen you in your

  3. walk with God. Don't miss out. Stay with us until

  4. the end for a rewarding experience. Let's dive

  5. right in. Look at verse 21. Genesis chapter 2

    Genesis 2:21

  6. verse 21. The Lord God caused a deep sleep to

  7. fall on Adam. And he slept. He took one of his

  8. ribs, closed up the flesh in its place. Then

  9. the rib which the Lord God had taken from man,

  10. he made into a woman, brought her to the man.

  11. Excuse me. So we think now this is starting,

  12. right? Yes, starting. And we've been discussing

  13. in this series. issues about or around women's

  14. liberty. We are on a matter which we have stayed

  15. for a long time trying to discuss what is God's

  16. plan for the woman, what is God's original intention

  17. in creating the woman. Did he create the woman

  18. just to give birth for the man? I mean, which

  19. means that her purpose is defined only by the

  20. man or he has an independent, a really independent,

  21. she has a complementary or a partnership kind

  22. of thing with the man to achieve the plan of

  23. God. It's her purpose defined by her gender.

  24. It's her purpose defined by whether she can give

  25. birth to children or not, or whether she can

  26. even give birth to male children or not. For

  27. some of us who are coming from, So villages that

  28. are troubling us is a value defined by a given

  29. body mass or physique. This has been our discussion

  30. and last Sunday we discussed the matter and looked

  31. at how Moses communicated. And we said that the

  32. key to understanding the Bible is... really to

  33. pay attention to the author and to the audience

  34. because it's very important, what we generally

  35. call the context. So we have been considering

  36. scripture, particularly we dwell in Genesis chapter

    Genesis 2 chapter mention

  37. 2 for some time now. And we're still there because

  38. there's a lot we need to clarify here because

  39. first, the woman is seen as what we call the

  40. helper of man. And we noted that that word helper,

  41. and then we quotient that. As we read, we have

  42. to be very careful to know in the context whether

  43. the Bible should be taking that in the context.

  44. Was the author speaking literally? Was he using

  45. figurative expression? Or was he using... which

  46. type of item to describe whatever he's describing.

  47. So there's no actually like a formula one plus

  48. one equals to two. Because I know these days

  49. we love to have formula which we can apply everywhere.

  50. You know, even those days, once they taught us

  51. quadratic equation, we made a formula which is

  52. not almighty and we call it almighty formula.

  53. And it's not almighty. And we knew that quadratic

  54. equation, there are some quadratic equation that

  55. you can't solve using. actually the formula.

  56. I knew that then you have to, sorry, all of us

  57. have done mathematics, so at least general mathematics.

  58. I knew that there are four ways which we were

  59. taught, you understand, to solve quadratic equations

  60. from using the graph, using the formula, by factorization

  61. and so on. Again, we found out that we cannot

  62. use almighty formula in scripture. So we have

  63. to learn to pay attention to context. That's

  64. what we have been describing. So that when we

  65. see a word, like in the case of helper, we don't

  66. just pick it like that as if we are... Even dictionary,

  67. when you are reading dictionary, dictionary does

  68. not just give you one word. It gives you several

  69. words and you have to look. and be careful to

  70. know which one are you looking for. So the same

  71. thing here, we need to pay attention to what

  72. we are talking about. And we saw that the word

  73. helper, no, no, no, no, that is not talking about

  74. the woman because that word helper is ezer. And

  75. nowhere has the word ezer been used for a woman.

  76. And the context in which it appears, it couldn't

  77. have been the woman because man, the woman cannot.

  78. rescue man from trouble. In fact, the trouble

  79. that she was to be rescued from, I mean the trouble

  80. that they are entering, which she herself was

  81. the one who through her came, she also needed

  82. help. So the helper is also for her, which needed

  83. to get her out of the trouble that plunge humanity.

  84. And so we noted and we continued our discussion,

  85. now to reach a point whereby he talks about the

  86. rib. That's where I read to us. And we saw that.

  87. We asked a very personal question. Was Moses

  88. referring to the biological or the physical rib

  89. we know, or in anatomy that we know, the rib

  90. which we have? 12 PS, as we said, was he talking

  91. about that to build the woman? What was the discussion

  92. actually there? You know, even though most of

  93. the times we use these scriptures actually in

  94. the issue of marriage generally, and we have

  95. not come to realize that even marriage itself

  96. was actually a parable, was actually... a pointer

  97. to something that the teaching of marriage ought

  98. to be done in such a way that it points to Christ

  99. because it's not meant to be when the word a

  100. man coming together and to join most times we

  101. use it in marriage well we can use it but if

  102. we have the understanding that God desire us

  103. and I'm going to talk about that later on so

  104. The point is that we then asked actually, was

  105. Moses talking about the physical rip? And then

  106. we began to see, okay, let's go to Moses because

  107. he's not only in Genesis that he taught. So he

  108. had the teaching material in the same Genesis,

  109. Exodus, in the same Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy.

  110. And we tried to look at that same word, how he

  111. used it. And throughout where we read, we read

  112. throughout Exodus. In Exodus, that's where he

  113. used that so well to teach with that word. And

  114. we later find out that that word, rip, is always

  115. where it appears in Moses' teaching material.

  116. It's in reference to the building of a tabernacle.

  117. Is that where we stop? Yes. So we saw that it

  118. was in reference to the building of a tabernacle.

  119. And the tabernacle, we said again, it wasn't

  120. a strange thing. I mean, because when you see

  121. Moses emphasizing something over and over, you

  122. need to be, wait a minute, why did he emphasize

  123. that so well? He has used that word in several

  124. places and in reference to only a particular

  125. thing, you understand, and which is a tabernacle.

  126. So we're trying to ask again, why was it that?

  127. Then we saw that, ah, tabernacle was not a strange

  128. thing. to the children of Israel. We now saw

  129. that it wasn't that Moses just imagined and said,

  130. okay, let me build Tabernacle for you. No, they

  131. are aware. They are acquainted with the Tabernacle

  132. because of their experience in Egypt. And so

  133. we saw that Tabernacle actually, because of Egypt

  134. experience, they knew. And we read a couple of

  135. scriptures. And I want us to note all those scriptures

  136. in which we noted, showing that Egypt was actually

  137. a place of idolatry. Egypt was a place that is

  138. full of all kinds of gods. And I want to read

  139. one more scripture today to show that also that

  140. these people, they learned so much of this idolatry.

  141. And even when they were out of Egypt, they were

  142. still in the wilderness. Still that thing never

  143. let them. Come with me to Exodus chapter 32.

    Exodus 32 chapter mention

  144. Exodus chapter 32. So I'm just going to add this

    Exodus 32 chapter mention

  145. scripture. to the ones I've already talked about,

  146. like Exodus chapter 12, verse 12 to 13, and we

    Exodus 12:12–13

  147. read also Joshua chapter 24, verse 14, and Ezekiel

    Joshua 24:14

  148. 25 to 18. So I'm going to add Exodus 32, verse

    Exodus 32:1–6

  149. 1 to 6. Exodus 32, verse 1 to 6. I want us to

    Exodus 32:1–6

  150. go there. all of us. Okay, so I will read from

  151. just verse 1. It says that now when the people

  152. saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain,

  153. the people gathered together to Aaron and said

  154. to him, come, make us God that shall be before

  155. us. Where do you think the land is? Make us what?

  156. God. They were coming from somewhere, you understand?

  157. Look at what they continue to say. He said, As

  158. for this Moses, the man who brought us up out

  159. of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has

  160. become of him. And Aaron said to them, Break

  161. off the golden earring. Don't wish to have a

  162. leader like that. Don't wish to have a leader

  163. like that, who anything goes. Aaron told them,

  164. he said to them, Break off the gold earrings

  165. which are in the ears of your wives, your sons,

  166. and your daughters, and bring them to me. So

  167. all the people broke off the golden earrings

  168. which were in their ears and brought them to

  169. Aaron. And he received the gold from their hands.

  170. He fashioned it. with an engraving tool and made

  171. a molded calf. Then they said, This is your God,

  172. O Israel, that brought you out of the land of

  173. Egypt. Verse 5. So when Aaron saw it, he built

  174. an altar before it. Did you see what is happening?

  175. You see, the issue of idol worship was not a

  176. strange thing to them. He built an altar. They

  177. knew what they were doing. So not just only that,

  178. they made an idol, a molded calf. Aaron also

  179. built an altar. And Aaron made a proclamation

  180. and said, Tomorrow is a feast to the Lord. Then

  181. he arose early on the next day, offered a burnt

  182. offering, and brought peace offering. And the

  183. people sat down. Now, eat, drink, and arose to

  184. play. This also text was made reference in the

  185. New Testament. I believe we treated it in the

  186. book we read last three months. Amen. So this

  187. is very important. And I want us to pay attention

  188. to it. So you could see that these people are

  189. coming from somewhere with... He already had

  190. the information on how to build the altar, how

  191. to do this was not a strange thing. The worship

  192. of idols was not a strange thing. So Moses' audience

  193. were familiar or is familiar with the tabernacle

  194. or the temple. You can call it the temple from

  195. Egypt. There is a scripture again I need to add.

  196. I think that would be good. Jeremiah chapter

    Jeremiah 43 chapter mention

  197. 43. Please look at Jeremiah 43. Jeremiah 43,

  198. look at verse 12. I will candle a fire in the

  199. houses of the gods of where? The gods of Egypt.

  200. I want you to know the word, the houses of the

  201. gods of Egypt. And he shall burn them and carry

  202. them away captive and he shall array himself

  203. with the land of Egypt as a shepherd puts on

  204. his garment and he shall go out. from there in

  205. peace. He shall also break the sacred pillar

  206. of Beth Shemesh that are in the land of Egypt.

  207. This word Beth Shemesh, if you look at some other

  208. version, talks about the house of the sun. That

  209. is sun, that you know. S -U -N. Beth Shemesh.

  210. So, and the house of the gods of the Egyptians,

  211. he shall burn with fire. The house. of the gods

  212. of the Egyptians. So these people are conversing

  213. with this. They are conversing with house. I

  214. told you that word house also in Hebrew can also

  215. mean temple. It's temple also. Temple, house.

  216. Temple is the same thing or tabernacle. It's

  217. the same thing. It's the word bayit. B -A -Y

  218. -I -T. It also means, so you can see the house

  219. of the gods of the Egyptians or the houses of

  220. the gods, sorry, or the tabernacle of the gods

  221. or the temple of the gods. They still mean the

  222. same thing. So this is very key and clear that

  223. we understand that when Moses was communicating

  224. to them, he knew they understood what he was

  225. trying to say. This is why we said sometimes

  226. you have to sit where the audience sat to be

  227. able to hear what they heard. Because the audience

  228. also plays no matter how you communicate will

  229. be based according to the audience. And so I

  230. don't want you to forget the message actually

  231. we have been reading in Genesis chapter 1 and

    Genesis 1 chapter mention

  232. Genesis chapter 2. The message there is one of

    Genesis 2 chapter mention

  233. God building his house. It's one God building

  234. his own house. And this house is not a place

  235. like we see for idols. It's a tabernacle. It's

  236. a house. In fact, he has repeated it over and

  237. over. It's not a house made with hands. Isaiah

  238. 66 tells us, even in the book of Acts, you understand,

  239. Paul was teaching and he brought that also to

  240. the people, I think to the people of Arkans,

  241. understand, that he doesn't live in a house made

  242. with hands. So right, the message about God's

  243. building a house starts from Genesis, talking

  244. about how he will build a family. You can call

  245. that again a family. a house, a family. So that's

  246. the message of Genesis. We have seen that from

  247. Genesis. We keep teaching it, you understand,

  248. until we get that. That's what Moses was communicating.

  249. But then I want to point you to something else

  250. before I come, so that you know that when Moses

  251. was talking about Tabernacle, he was using what

  252. they knew, but he was communicating something

  253. ahead. Something ahead, you understand? Something

  254. ahead. Now, maybe probably we should refresh

  255. our mind with what the intention of God is. Probably,

  256. let me go to Hebrews. Come with me to Hebrews

  257. first before I now look at other scriptures that

  258. we have looked at before. Hebrews chapter 8.

    Hebrews 8 chapter mention

  259. Look at Hebrews chapter 8 verse... Look at verse

    Hebrews 8 chapter mention

  260. 3. Hebrews chapter 8 verse... Three, he said,

    Hebrews 8 chapter mention

  261. for every high priest is appointed to offer both

  262. gifts and sacrifice. Therefore, it is necessary

  263. that this one also having something to offer.

  264. He said, for if he were on earth, he would not

  265. be a priest, since there are priests also, or

  266. there are priests who after the gift according

  267. to the law. There are priests according to the

  268. law. You understand? According to the law. Are

  269. we together? Remember, once you say law, he's

  270. talking about what Moses gave. What Moses instituted.

  271. You understand? Or gave them. You understand?

  272. Which came about as a result of unbelief. You

  273. understand? In the gospel. So, he said, who shall

  274. have a copy? Because you cannot have priests.

  275. without having where they worship, you understand?

  276. And that is the temple, the tabernacle. And that

  277. setting was actually depicting where they are

  278. coming from. So they have a quite understanding

  279. of what Moses was talking about. So when Moses

  280. was to communicate to them, he uses what they

  281. are familiar with, but then talking about what

  282. is to come. He said, who serve the copy and a

  283. shadow of the heavenly things as Moses was divinely

  284. instructed. when he was about to make the tabernacle.

  285. Now, can you look at how the New Testament put

  286. it? He said, when he was about to make the tabernacle.

  287. Now, he's showing that it wasn't God who asked

  288. him directly to make the tabernacle. But when

  289. he was about to make it in the psalm, God told

  290. him, you have to do it according to pattern.

  291. Because that pattern he's talking about, he's

  292. talking about what he saw ahead, what Christ

  293. will come to do. He said, you are now about to

  294. do something. I want you to do it according to

  295. pattern. You understand? He said, he was divinely

  296. instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle.

  297. That was when he was instructed. The instruction

  298. was not to make the tabernacle. But when he was

  299. about to make the tabernacle, he was instructed.

  300. You understand? That's what he said. See that

  301. you make all things according to the pattern

  302. shown you. on the mountain. So he built the tabernacle

  303. with something in mind. And as you continue to

  304. read, verse 6 says, but now he has obtained a

  305. more excellent ministry in the sand, inasmuch

  306. as he is also a mediator of a better covenant,

  307. which was established on better promises. We

  308. have discussed this text. a better covenant,

  309. a better promises. This is talking about not,

  310. it's not comparatively. We have discussed this.

  311. Pastor Fred also have taught in this time. He's

  312. not talking about comparing the two, which one

  313. is. No, no, no. He's talking about just the same

  314. way we are taught also when the Bible says this

  315. is true bread. He's not talking about that there

  316. is a fake one. He's trying to say that one, which

  317. is the bread they ate, you understand, was a

  318. pointer, was a hypodigma. was an example of what

  319. is to come. It was pointing to something. That's

  320. what is communicated. So we saw that when Moses

  321. was doing, so these people, as Moses was doing

  322. that, he was pointing them to a tabernacle. He

  323. was pointing them to a priesthood, you understand,

  324. which is heavenly. He's pointing them to a tabernacle,

  325. which is heavenly, you understand. He was pointing

  326. them to the building of God. which will happen.

  327. And I want you to see what Jesus talked to Peter.

  328. Look at what Jesus told Peter in Matthew chapter

    Matthew 13 chapter mention

  329. 13. Sorry, Matthew 16. Look at what Jesus told

  330. Peter in verse 18. Matthew 16, verse 18. He said,

    Matthew 16:18

  331. And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this

  332. rock... I will build, I will build my church

  333. and the gate of Hades shall not prevail against

  334. it. And the gate of Hades shall not prevail against

  335. it. That building is a church. That tabernacle

  336. is a church. That's the dwelling place of God.

  337. That's the dwelling place of God. In fact, Peter

  338. understood clearly what Jesus was talking about

  339. because he said he's going to build a house.

  340. He was there when they were being communicated,

  341. when they were being taught as recorded by John.

  342. He said, in my father's house are many mansions.

  343. You understand? So he was in John 14. So he was

  344. there when they were communicating. So when he

  345. was talking about here again, I will build my

  346. church. You understood what he was talking about.

  347. That was why when Peter wrote in 1 Peter 2, he

  348. clearly, that was what he was saying. You understand?

  349. He knew what God was saying. I mean, what Jesus

  350. spoke to him in the sand, and he knew that death

  351. would not actually stop, would not oppose, would

  352. not stop, would not prevail upon what Jesus was

  353. about to build by his death and resurrection.

  354. Look at 1 Peter 2, verse 4. Look at 1 Peter 2,

    1 Peter 2:4 1 Peter 2:4

  355. verse 4. He said, coming to him as to, well,

  356. coming to him is... Coming to him a living or

  357. life, you understand. Anyway, that word in, what

  358. do you call it? In Italics, you understand, it

  359. was inserted by the translators. So, let's just

  360. begin it. Coming to him as to a living stone,

  361. you understand, rejected indeed by men, but chosen

  362. by God and precious. Verse 5. You also, as living

  363. or lively stones, have been built up a spiritual

  364. house, a holy priesthood. Do you see that? A

  365. spiritual house. Moses was building a physical

  366. one pointing to a spiritual house. Do you understand?

  367. A spiritual house, a holy priesthood. Do you

  368. see that? They were a physical priesthood who

  369. are unbelievers, who never believed, you understand?

  370. You know, normally, when we normally speak, we

  371. used to exempt... We used to exempt those, the

  372. Levites, as if they are the ones who believe

  373. God. They are unbelievers, all of them, you understand?

  374. All of them are unbelievers. So, they refused

  375. to believe too. So, while they were... doing

  376. that, they were pointing to a spiritual priesthood.

  377. You understand? Spiritual priesthood. Not some

  378. certain, unfortunately, some churches have made,

  379. I keep perpetuating the old system. I see there

  380. are some spiritual people on top of a pulpit.

  381. No. Our brother was praying and helping us before

  382. we start this teaching. He said the goal is for

  383. us, all of us, to be taught to mature. that we

  384. also would teach others to do what was done to

  385. us. That's the order of God. So the priesthood

  386. is everyone, everyone in the South, holy priesthood,

  387. to offer up spiritual sacrifice acceptable to

  388. God through Jesus Christ. So what makes your

  389. service, your sacrifice acceptable? It's not

  390. whether you go and wash your hands and bath,

  391. you know, those days before they offer it, you

  392. have to go and cleanse themselves. They normally

  393. call it consecrate themselves. No. What makes

  394. us, our service acceptable is what Christ has

  395. done. You understand? Your merit does not give

  396. you qualification. It doesn't make God accept

  397. your service. We offer spiritual sacrifices through

  398. Jesus Christ. Are we together? He said, Therefore,

  399. it is also contained in the Scripture, Behold,

  400. I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, a leg precious,

  401. and he who believes on him will by no means be

  402. put to shame. Therefore, you who believe is precious,

  403. but to those who are disobedient, the stone which

  404. the builder rejects has become the chief cornerstone.

  405. and a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.

  406. They stumbled, being disobedient to the word

  407. to which they also were appointed. Verse 9. But

  408. you, my chosen generation, a royal priesthood,

  409. a holy nation, his own special people, that you

  410. may proclaim the praises of him who called you

  411. out of darkness into his. The same thing Paul

  412. wrote as well. Paul wrote in Ephesians chapter

    Ephesians 2 chapter mention

  413. 2, Ephesians chapter 2 verse 9, Ephesians chapter

    Ephesians 2:9 Ephesians 2:19

  414. 2 verse 19. Did I say 9? Sorry. He said, now,

  415. therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners,

  416. but fellow citizens with the saints and members

  417. of the household of God. We are members of the

  418. household. We are a fulfillment of what Moses

  419. wrote about. The communication of Moses was a

  420. fulfillment. A household of God. Not male, not

  421. female, all of us. You understand? There is no,

  422. we have one identity. You understand? Here he

  423. didn't mention male or female. No, he said all

  424. of us are members of the household of God. Having

  425. been healed. How? By the death and resurrection

  426. of Christ. Because he told Moses, you understand,

  427. on this rock. I mean, sorry, he taught Peter

  428. on this rock. I will build my church and the

  429. gate of Hades. Death will not prevail against

  430. it. I will resurrect and that will be the means

  431. by which the church, by which the building of

  432. God, that spiritual building will be built. He

  433. said, having been built on the foundation of

  434. the apostles and the prophet. What is that foundation?

  435. It is Jesus Christ because he is the founder

  436. of the church. He founded it upon his resurrection.

  437. He said the foundation of the apostles and the

  438. prophets, that is Jesus Christ. He's not saying

  439. different, you know, some people now come to

  440. say, you understand, we are the apostles and

  441. the prophets. We are the foundation of the church.

  442. No, that's not what this place is saying. He's

  443. not saying the apostles and the prophets are

  444. the foundation of the church. He said, no, they

  445. are actually, we have been built on the foundation.

  446. What is that foundation? That foundation is Christ.

  447. That is the foundation that the apostles used.

  448. Do you understand what I'm trying to say? Because

  449. it's Christ they have taught. It's Christ they

  450. have taught. It's Christ they have taught. It's

  451. Christ they have taught. You understand? So they

  452. could not be the very people that actually they

  453. are talking about themselves. And so Jesus Christ

  454. himself, the chief, not being, but the chief

  455. cornerstone in whom the whole building, did you

  456. see that? in whom the whole building be fitted

  457. together grow into a holy temple. That word again.

  458. So temple, house, household means the same thing.

  459. Or tabernacle means the same thing. Are we together?

  460. He said a temple, a temple in the Lord in whom

  461. you also have been built or build. together for

  462. a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. Amen.

  463. So, and each time these people are about to deviate

  464. from their identity, you will hear Paul talk

  465. in 1 Corinthians 6, 19, don't you know, or do

  466. you not know that your bodies are the temple

  467. of the Holy Spirit? Because each time he would

  468. tell them, don't you know? in the sand. Don't

  469. you know? Don't you know? Don't you know? Are

  470. we together? So we saw that in that Hebrews,

  471. that that is what Moses was talking about. He

  472. was pointing to whatever he did was a copy. Whatever

  473. he did was a shadow. Whatever he did was actually

  474. pointing to something ahead that I want us to

  475. take note. Therefore, it is evident, it is very,

  476. very evident that Moses built the tabernacle

  477. or the temple, you can say, to teach his audience

  478. God's plan for the new tabernacle. Are we together?

  479. Moses built, you understand, remember, these

  480. people, I want you to get that very clearly.

  481. Moses built, you know, we normally, we have clarified

  482. that, that Moses did not give them the law to

  483. substitute grace. Are we together? Because he

  484. preached to them, they refused. So he said, okay,

  485. let me give them another means. You understand?

  486. Like today we normally say, you know, there are

  487. many means, you understand, to serve the Lord.

  488. It's not only one means. So don't always insist

  489. on your own. You know, just to make you slack,

  490. you understand? Don't always insist on your own

  491. way. There are many means. If God wanted to make

  492. us all one, he would have made us. No, it doesn't

  493. work that way, you understand? He doesn't force

  494. us into those things. So it is evident that Moses

  495. built the tabernacle. in the south of the temple

  496. to teach his audience God's plan for the new

  497. tabernacle, God's plan for the new house, the

  498. new humanity, the new creation, where he will

  499. inhabit and he will dwell in the sun. He will

  500. inhabit and he will dwell. So when Moses said,

  501. go back to Genesis chapter 2. Genesis chapter

Genesis 2 chapter mention Genesis 2 chapter mention

  502. 2. Go back to Genesis chapter 2, verse 21. So

    Genesis 2:21

  503. when Moses said in verse 21, And the Lord God

  504. caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept

  505. in the sand. And he took one of his three, that

  506. word, and he took one of his three. So it's evident

  507. that Moses was not just talking about just basically

  508. biology. Are we together? He was not referring

  509. to Adam's physical rib. Or he was not referring

  510. to Adam's biological body. Moses was not teaching

  511. using biology there. Did you hear how I put it?

  512. I didn't say Moses was not teaching biology.

  513. I said Moses was not using biology or anatomy.

  514. Please. It's very important you get it. how I

  515. put it in the sand. So he was not using, because

  516. it looks as if he was using actually biology

  517. or anatomy. No, he was not using that. He was

  518. not using biology or anatomy to teach. Because

  519. we discover that that word rip is not a biologic

  520. term, even though it appears that way there.

  521. Are we together? From Moses' teaching note, if

  522. you look at the entire place where that word

  523. rip appears, which we said that rip, is the word

  524. sight. We look at Moses' teaching notes where

  525. we go through all where he taught using that

  526. word in the book of Exodus and also in Genesis

  527. where we saw in the sand, Moses did not use that

  528. term as a human anatomy term. But one thing we

  529. saw, it was an architectural term. Please, I

  530. want you to know that. It was an architectural

  531. term. that he utilizes in the sun to refer to

  532. a part of a building, meaning a part of a hole

  533. in the sun. It's a building, a tabernacle, or

  534. a portion in the tabernacle, like an ark, to

  535. describe a part of a hole. Again, a part of a

  536. hole. So, rip is not a biological term. Rip there

  537. is not actually a... a term in anatomy, in human

  538. anatomy, that word rib is an architectural term.

  539. An architectural term that talks about or refers

  540. to a part of a building. In this case, a part

  541. of or a site. Now, what side of the tabernacle?

  542. Now, there's a question then we will have to

  543. ask. Understand? If that is the case, or since

  544. that is the case, that the rip is a site or a

  545. part of a tabernacle. Now the question is, what

  546. tabernacle was Moses talking about? If actually

  547. we said that place or rip there is a site of

  548. a tabernacle, then what tabernacle was Moses

  549. referring to? When he said the sight of a man

  550. or the rip, one of the rip of a man in the sand.

  551. What is he talking about? Which side of a tabernacle

  552. is he talking about? So we need to clarify that.

  553. Now, go back to that scripture also, because

  554. we need to do some work now to clarify what Moses

  555. was referring to. Now, what is that? Look at

  556. it. Let's, we can follow. reading from the response

  557. of Adam when the woman, yes, was brought to him.

  558. Look at what Adam said. It can give us a lead

  559. to where we are going, to how to answer which

  560. type of tabernacle Moses was referring to. So,

  561. look at verse 23. It said, and Adam said, understand,

  562. this is now born of my bones and flesh of my

  563. flesh. She shall be called woman because she

  564. was taken out of man. She shall be called woman

  565. because she was taken out of man. She was taken

  566. out of man. I want you to know the word the bones

  567. of my bones. and the flesh of my flesh. Now,

  568. before we answer that, we have to clarify because,

  569. you know, those words that were there, we need

  570. to explain a number of them that normally bring

  571. confusion. One of them before I'm coming to this,

  572. we will answer this. But I want you to note the

  573. bones of my bones and the flesh of my flesh.

  574. What does that mean? We're going to answer that.

  575. But let's look at that. He said, verse 21, he

  576. said, and the Lord God caused a deep sleep, fall

  577. on Adam, and he slept and he took. So he looked

  578. as God performed an operation. And we said that

  579. the description here is not biology. All those

  580. descriptions are a description, like rip we have

  581. mentioned is an architectural term. So how did

  582. Moses be using these terms here? What is this

  583. deep sleep? That's the question now. If the deep

  584. sleep is not literal, because we saw now, rip

  585. is not literal. You understand? It means sight.

  586. Again, then what is deep sleep? Then deep sleep

  587. could actually not be also literal. You understand?

  588. What is then deep sleep? You understand? Now,

  589. deep sleep is a single word I want you to note

  590. in Hebrew. Deep sleep is a... single word in

  591. Hebrew. It means hedema. It means T -A -R -D

  592. -E -M -E. T -A -R -D -E -M -E. Which means trans.

  593. It means trans. Of course, there are many places

  594. where in the Bible that talks about It uses it

  595. literally, actually. But we're looking at the

  596. teaching notes of Moses, you understand? So it

  597. actually means trance, you understand? And so

  598. what exactly are we saying now, you understand?

  599. So that means, let's look at some scripture,

  600. you understand? That same word was used in Genesis

  601. 15. Look at Genesis 15, verse 12. Genesis...

    Genesis 15:12

  602. Just go up a little bit because we're trying

  603. to study the teaching notes of Moses. Genesis

    Genesis 15:12

  604. 15 verse 12. And when the sun was going down,

  605. a deep sleep fell upon Abraham and behold, horror

  606. and great darkness fell upon him. Now, if you

  607. just read this verse alone, you would think actually

  608. that Abraham just slept. No. But when you start

  609. from verse 1, you understand what the Bible is

  610. talking about. Look at verse 1 of Genesis 15.

  611. After these things, the word of the Lord came

  612. to Abraham in a what? Oh, talk to me. In a vision

  613. saying. Did you see that? In a vision. So that

  614. reading continually, when you continue to read

  615. in the context up to 12, and all the discourse

  616. on the event that was happening, it was in the

  617. dream. You understand? You remember dream when

  618. I'm saying dream? That means it's in a vision.

  619. So that means this word is in reference to vision,

  620. deep sleep, trance, you understand? Vision. Are

  621. we together? Therefore, deep sleep means vision.

  622. So what actually happened to Adam was not a surgical

  623. or a medical operation, you understand? No. It

  624. was a vision that God took Adam to see something.

  625. Then you will not be surprised. His response,

  626. immediately you walk off from the vision. Did

  627. you understand what I'm trying to say? So he

  628. saw the vision of what God in the sand, what

  629. God intends. So what God showed Adam was a vision

  630. ahead, what he will do. Are we together? So when

  631. God says, and the Lord God caused a deep sleep

  632. to fall on Adam and he slept, he was talking

  633. about a vision and he took one of his ribs. We

  634. have already described that rib. That means what

  635. Adam is seeing, that means now you can now understand

  636. that he's not talking about literature. The rib

  637. is not literature. So when he said he took one

  638. of his ribs, that means he was talking about

  639. a building. So in the vision, that was what Adam

  640. was seeing. You understand? And close up with

  641. the flesh in this place. Now, it is not God performing,

  642. as I said, a surgical procedure on Adam. No.

  643. You understand? Like Abraham, Adam was just being

  644. shown a vision. Was being shown a vision. Now,

  645. the question again we want to ask, what vision?

  646. What vision was God showing him? You understand?

  647. Now look at Adam's response in verse 23. In verse

  648. 23 of that Genesis. And this is what he said.

  649. I said, this is now the bone of my bones and

  650. the flesh of my flesh. So this Adam's response

  651. in verse 23 tells us what vision Adam saw. And

  652. I want you to note the word, this is the bones

  653. of my bones and the flesh of my flesh. The word

  654. they are bones is... Follow me gradually because

  655. we're so close. The word bones there is a Hebrew

  656. word which means ascent. Which means is E -S

  657. -E -M. Ascent. E -S -E -M in Hebrew. Also of

  658. my bones is also the same thing ascent. So bones

  659. means ascent. Of my bones means ascend. So if

  660. we say the bones of my bones, I will say ascend,

  661. ascend. So if you are going to say that in Hebrew,

  662. it will be ascend, ascend in a sign. And that

  663. word ascend means self, same. Please follow me

  664. gradually. That word ascend means self. It means

  665. also or same, same. That is the same in a sign,

  666. the same. Moses used the same word. And I want

  667. you to see where Moses used the same word of

  668. that ascent. That is the bones of my bones. Oh,

  669. bones. You understand? Because that was what

  670. Adam saw. And he now responds. He is the bones

  671. of my bones. It means ascent, ascent. That means

  672. what he is saying is that he is the same, the

  673. same. You understand? Same, the same. What is...

  674. Adam saying, Genesis chapter 7. Genesis 7 verse

Genesis 7 chapter mention Genesis 7:13

  675. 13. Look at Genesis 7 verse 13. On the very same

    Genesis 7:13

  676. day, Noah and Noah's sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth,

  677. and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons,

  678. with them entered the ark. On the very same.

  679. Did you see that word? That word same there.

  680. On the very same. That word same. Means a sin.

  681. Genesis 17. Genesis 17. It means that very sin.

  682. Look at Genesis 17 verse 23. So Abraham took

    Genesis 17:23

  683. Ishmael, his son, all who were born in his house

  684. and all who were bought with his money, every

  685. male among the men of Abraham's house. and circumcised

  686. the flesh of their foreskin that very same day.

  687. That word same there is also a sin as God has

  688. said to him, as God has said to him. So that

  689. word is same there. So in other words, when Abraham

  690. said, this is my bones, or this now, or this

  691. is now bone of my bone, he was saying same, same.

  692. We are the same. Do you understand what I'm saying?

  693. So he was saying that this woman, we are the

  694. same. We are the same. We are the same. The bones

  695. of my bones. You know, we have used this as a

  696. marriage statement. Do you understand? This is

  697. not a marriage statement. It's a response to

  698. a vision. Adam saw. He said, this, we are the

  699. same. Men don't want to hear that one. So this

  700. was not a marriage statement. Well, you know,

  701. sometimes, as I said, we can use the term in

  702. marriage if we understand and speak correctly

  703. about what it means. You understand? Because

  704. if you talk about, even in marriage, you can

  705. print John 3, verse 16. You understand? So, but

    John 3:16

  706. if you say those things, so you must have to

  707. preach it correctly. You understand? You must

  708. have to preach it. Look at Genesis 29. Look at

  709. Genesis 29. Genesis 29 verse 14. Genesis 29 verse

    Genesis 29:14 Genesis 29:14

  710. 14. And Laban said to him, Surely you are my

  711. what? Oh, speak to me. Surely you are my what?

  712. My bones and my flesh. And he stayed with him

  713. for a month. Were they married? Oh, talk to me.

  714. Were they married? So how come he would say,

  715. he was my bones and my flesh? So that's, you

  716. see, the word bones is talking about a different

  717. thing. What he's trying to say that we are of

  718. the same family. We are the same. We come from

  719. the same, the same kindred. Are we together?

  720. So that's what, so when Adam said, the bones

  721. of my bones and the flesh of my flesh. He was

  722. referring that the woman is of the same family

  723. in the son. And when he was saying that he was

  724. talking about the new humanity in the son, when

  725. he was saying that he was talking about the family

  726. of God, which he will establish, we are both

  727. of us. That was what Peter was speaking about.

  728. That was what Paul was saying about that we are

  729. members of the same household. of the household

  730. of God. That was what he was talking about. Look

  731. at Judges. Judges. I'm looking for where to stop.

  732. Judges. Glory to Jesus. Judges chapter 9, verse

    Judges 9:1

  733. 1. Judges chapter 9, verse 1. Then Abimelech,

    Judges 9:1

  734. the son of Jeroboam, went to shake him. to his

  735. mothers, please I want you to know those words,

  736. to his what? Mothers, brothers, and spoke with

  737. them and with all the family of the house of

  738. his mother's father, saying, please speak in

  739. the hearing of all the men of Shechem, all the

  740. men of Shechem, which is, Better for you that

  741. all 70 of the sons of Jeroboam reign over you

  742. or that one reign over you. Remember that I am

  743. your what? Your own flesh and bone. Is he talking

  744. about marriage here? No, he was talking about

  745. marriage. He was talking about we are of the

  746. same. We are of the same family, the same stock.

  747. The same nation. You understand? We are of the

  748. same nation. We are of the same nation. 2 Samuel

    2 Samuel 5 chapter mention

  749. chapter 5. 2 Samuel chapter 5. 2 Samuel chapter

    2 Samuel 5 chapter mention 2 Samuel 5:1

  750. 5 verse 1. 2 Samuel chapter 5 verse 1. Then all

    2 Samuel 5:1

  751. the tribe of Israel came to David. Did you see

  752. that? The entire nation. So that means a member

  753. of a household, a member of the same nation,

  754. a member of the same... We call bone and flesh.

  755. Are we together? Are we together? Amen. Can you

  756. move to 2 Samuel 19? 2 Samuel 19. Look at verse

  757. 9. 2 Samuel 19, verse 9. Now all the people were

    2 Samuel 19:9

  758. in a dispute throughout all the tribe of Israel,

  759. saying, The king... Verse 11. And Abiathar the

  760. priest, saying, Speak to the elders of Judah,

  761. saying, Why are you the last to bring the king

  762. back to his house, since the words of all Israel

  763. have come to the king to his very house? Verse

  764. 12. You are my brethren. I want you to know that.

  765. You are my brethren. You are my what? Oh, talk

  766. to me. Oh, talk to me. You are my brethren. You

  767. are my bone and my flesh. That means same family.

  768. Same. Understand. Why then are you the last to

  769. bring back the king? Verse 13. And so to Amasa,

  770. are you not my bone and my flesh? God do so to

  771. me and more also. If you are not commander of

  772. the army before me continually in place of Joab.

  773. Did you see that? Okay, let me read the last,

  774. probably last scripture because we have to close

  775. it. Hallelujah. 1 Chronicles chapter 11. 1 Chronicles

1 Chronicles 11 chapter mention 1 Chronicles 11 chapter mention

  776. chapter 11. 1 Chronicles 11. Are you following

  777. the teaching? Okay. It says, Then all Israel

  778. came together to David at Hebron, saying, Indeed,

  779. we are your what? Your bone and your flesh. Now,

  780. did you see that? That means it's evident that

  781. bone of my bone means the same stock, the same

  782. kindred, the same family, the same nation. identity,

  783. and the same. Are we together? The same. So that

  784. was the vision. Remember, deep means vision.

  785. And so in the vision, God showed to Adam that

  786. this woman will be of the same family. You will

  787. not be different from her in the son. While we

  788. have differences physically, because the woman

  789. gives birth, you understand, and there are some

  790. physical features, but that is not in the household

  791. of God. In the new nation, God is building. It's

  792. not different. We are not different. We have

  793. one Lord, one identity, the same spirit, you

  794. understand. We are the same. That was what the

  795. Lord showed to Adam. And Adam saw that and he

  796. exclaimed, This now is the bone of my bone and

  797. the flesh of my flesh. So that was not a marriage

  798. thing. It wasn't a marriage thing. Are we together?

  799. It was not a marriage statement. It was an affirmation

  800. that this woman is of the same stock with me.

  801. We are the same. Let me show you that. I think

  802. that is a good way to conclude. Because if we

  803. don't conclude in the New Testament, I mean,

  804. it will look somehow. Amen. So let's go to New

  805. Testament. Ephesians. I think that's the best

  806. way to conclude. Ephesians chapter 5. Ephesians

Ephesians 5 chapter mention Ephesians 5:30

  807. chapter 5, verse 30. Good to me, verse 30. So

  808. let me read from verse 29. I think it's good.

  809. It says, For no one ever hated his own flesh.

  810. Did you hear that? You know, sometimes when we

  811. read that verse, you used to think that he's

  812. talking about this one. Remember when he talked

  813. to the man to love? He said, For no one ever

  814. hated his own flesh, but nourished and cherished

  815. it, just as the Lord does the church, that is,

  816. the Lord does to his own also. Are we together?

  817. For we are members of his word. Of his what?

  818. Are we together? Oh, talk to me. Members of his

  819. body. Of his what? Oh, are you there with me?

  820. Of his flesh. And what? That's what he's saying.

  821. Hebrews 2, 11 talks to us that he is not ashamed

  822. to call us brethren. We are of the same. We are

  823. members of his body. That was what Adam saw what

  824. God is to do in Christ. That will become members

  825. of his body. That's why he said the bones of

  826. my bones, the flesh of my flesh. Are we together?

  827. So Jesus Christ now said, for we are members

  828. of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

  829. Look at that one. He said, for this reason, a

  830. man shall leave his father and mother. and be

  831. joined to his wife, and the two shall become

  832. one flesh. One flesh. Verse 32. This is a great

  833. mystery, but I speak concerning who? The Christ

  834. and the church. The Christ and the church. So

  835. one flesh is when he was spoken about. was actually

  836. pointing to what Christ will do to bring us into

  837. himself, to be in the house of God, in the tabernacle

  838. of God. We are the same. We are not different.

  839. In the sad, we are members of his body, his flesh

  840. and his bones. So bones of my bones refers to

  841. God's plan for humanity. God, which actually

  842. we are in the fulfillment. So you cannot be in

  843. church and see a woman lower. That means something

  844. is wrong with your teaching. We are the same.

  845. We have the same stock. We are the same family.

  846. We are members of the same family. We have the

  847. same identity, you understand? No one is higher

  848. in value, in significance, in purpose. So it's

  849. an aberration to say... Because a woman is a

  850. woman, so she cannot leave the church. Or a woman

  851. is a woman, so she cannot be able to sing. Or

  852. she must keep quiet in the church. Or she cannot

  853. lead. Or she cannot do certain things. I mean,

  854. you don't really understand the plan of God.

  855. The plan of God is that all of us together, we

  856. are the house of the Lord. Are we together? We

  857. are the house of the Lord. Amen. So we will stop

  858. here and continue with our discussion later on

  859. to see how God will help us. But I want you to

  860. note, because we are discussing issues around

  861. woman's liberty. Now the question is, what is

  862. God's original plan for the woman? The same plan

  863. he has for the man. What is God's original plan

  864. for the woman? The same plan he has for the man.

  865. Simple and short. Remember, we are answering

  866. the question now. You understand? It took us

  867. a long while to answer that question. It's a

  868. little bit quiet. But now we are answering, what

  869. is God's plan, original plan for the woman? Is

  870. the same plan that he has for the man, that together

  871. they become a tabernacle for him? Hallelujah.

  872. Amen. We appreciate you being here today. We

  873. hope you carry this word with you throughout

  874. your week. Don't forget to check the show notes
