  1. Welcome to NECF Sermons. Each message here is

  2. designed to uplift and strengthen you in your

  3. walk with God. Don't miss out. Stay with us until

  4. the end for a rewarding experience. Let's dive

  5. right in. So I want to thank God for this opportunity

  6. given to me to bring the Word to us. And I also

  7. want to thank the pastorate for the opportunity

  8. as well. On Sunday we were looking at being sensitive

  9. to the leading of the Holy Spirit and today we're

  10. going to continue in that light. So we looked

  11. at Matthew chapter 28. Matthew chapter 28. For

Matthew 28 chapter mention Matthew 28 chapter mention

  12. verse 18 to 20. So just a quick recap of what

  13. we did. We looked at that and we said that when

  14. the gospel is preached, that there is an explanation

  15. and there is an instruction that follows. We

  16. said that the leading of the Holy Spirit is The

  17. leading of the Spirit involves when we hear the

  18. explanation of the gospel or preaching, and then

  19. we follow the instructions that follow. So he's

  20. mindful of the things that he hears, and he wants

  21. to pay close attention to those things. He's

  22. very careful about these things. He treasures

  23. the things that he heard. Praise the Lord. There

  24. is an alertness that somebody who is growing

  25. spiritually has. He wants to hear more. He's

  26. very alert about the things that are around him.

  27. Praise the Lord. And then we look at John chapter

    John 14 chapter mention

  28. 14, where he talks about, In my Father's house

  29. are many mansions. And we say that he's talking

  30. about the union of places. He's talking about

  31. the indwelling of the Father in us. That is,

  32. Him in us and us in Him. Praise the Lord. And

  33. we also looked at, The same place that was talking

  34. about that he would send another comforter. And

  35. we say that word is alus paracletis, which means

  36. that the way the Father is indwelling in Christ

  37. is the same way he's going to be indwelling you.

  38. The same way that Christ is in the Father, so

  39. also Christ will be in the inside of you. Praise

  40. the Lord. And so we saw that Jesus was leading

  41. his disciples by... preaching and teaching. Jesus

  42. was leading them to preach and teach the gospel.

  43. Praise the Lord. We saw that in Matthew, same

  44. Matthew that we read, 28 verse 20, right? And

  45. we also saw that he said to them in Matthew chapter

    Matthew 10 chapter mention

  46. 10, Matthew chapter 9, towards the ending, that

    Matthew 9 chapter mention

  47. the harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are

  48. few. The thing he said that the Lord of the harvest

  49. should do, that is, to send laborers, he did

  50. by sending his disciples into Bethlehem. From

  51. verse 1. Praise the Lord. So today we're going

  52. to continue and we're going to be looking at

  53. being sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

  54. Praise the Lord. Matthew chapter 28, verse 18.

    Matthew 28:18

  55. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, And

  56. we say that to teach there, when he says to teach

  57. or to make disciples, as you saw, I said, go

  58. and make disciples, right? It means to make a

  59. student or to train with the intention to educate

  60. this person. Praise the Lord. So we cannot, he

  61. doesn't want to assume that everybody know what

  62. they should do. Praise the Lord. Even as a church,

  63. we cannot assume that you know how to pray. We

  64. cannot assume that you know how to... Live the

  65. way that God intends you to live. So that's why

  66. discipleship is important. Because he's saying

  67. to them that he makes them a student. He trains

  68. them with the intention to educate them. Praise

  69. the Lord. So we don't assume that people know

  70. how to do things, that they know how to pray,

  71. that they know how to live their life. That is

  72. why even as a church, we don't presume that everything

  73. should just go the way it is. Just live your

  74. life the way you want to live it. We practicalize

  75. all of the things that we say to you. Praise

  76. the Lord. So if we say that you can pray and

  77. you will hear God. We will do that for you to

  78. see, praise the Lord, because that is the way

  79. you teach a student. That is how you educate

  80. somebody, right? There's practicality to the

  81. things that we do, praise the Lord. So when we

  82. say we pray or go and pray, as pastorates, we

  83. are not in our houses or we're not in our houses

  84. just relaxed. We are also praying as we are telling

  85. you to pray. Or there's a task that we're saying

  86. do. As a church, we are also doing the same thing.

  87. Praise the Lord. So when we say, okay, let's

  88. come for prayer cruise, we come there and we

  89. demonstrate prayers. Praise the Lord. So when

  90. somebody say, do you know how to pray? You will

  91. know you have seen it somewhere and you have

  92. learnt it somewhere and you know how to pray.

  93. You know what it means to pray for that long

  94. or pray for a short period of time because you

  95. have been trained and educated, because you have

  96. been a disciple. Praise the Lord. So the teach

  97. is to make a student, to train. To make somebody

  98. with the intention to educate them. Praise the

  99. Lord. Like I said, we don't assume that people

  100. know how to do it. That's why even, again, as

  101. pastorate, we want to know exactly, or we want

  102. to ask you a few questions. How is your life

  103. going? What is happening here? What is happening

  104. here? We invite you, or come to our house, or

  105. let's meet somewhere. And we want to talk about

  106. these things because we know that for you to

  107. be able to live the life that God intends you

  108. to live, you need to be guided. Praise the Lord.

  109. You need to be guided. You need to receive counsel.

  110. You need to be discipled. That is what it means

  111. to make disciples. That's what it means to make

  112. disciples. For example, of Jesus, when he takes

  113. his disciples to go and pray, he doesn't just

  114. tell them to say, Our Father who art in heaven.

  115. They saw him praying. Praise the Lord. They saw

  116. him praying. They saw him taking time to pray

  117. over and over again. And they'll be wondering,

  118. why do you have to pray for so long? Praise the

  119. Lord. And last week we saw that if you don't

  120. know the why of a thing, it will profit you nothing.

  121. Praise the Lord. So he tells them or he teaches

  122. them to pray. And in teaching them or in saying,

  123. come Peter, let's go somewhere. And maybe Peter

  124. is sleeping as he's praying. He knows that Peter

  125. is learning something. Praise the Lord. He knows

  126. that Peter is learning something. Because after

  127. the resurrection, we'll begin to see some of

  128. those things manifest. Because these are people

  129. who have been with Christ. They have been with

  130. him and they have learned a lot of things. They've

  131. learned how to live their life. They've also

  132. learned how to lead. Praise the Lord. They've

  133. learned how to lead. They have known how to,

  134. oh, let's do this or let's do that. Praise the

  135. Lord. When there is hundreds and thousands of

  136. people, they are not confused about how to lead

  137. these people because they have seen a blueprint.

  138. They have seen somebody lead them in the way

  139. they should go. That is what it means to make

  140. disciples. So in discipleship, there is practicality

  141. to it. Praise the Lord. So somebody is telling

  142. you, have you prayed today? You want to find

  143. out, are they also praying? Praise the Lord.

  144. Or are they just telling you that prayer is important?

  145. What benefit or how have you done your own? As

  146. you're encouraging me to pray, as you're encouraging

  147. me to read my Bible, how in your own life, how

  148. has that been beneficial to you? Have you struggled

  149. as well? Praise the Lord. So this is a process

  150. of making... There is practicality to it. And

  151. Jesus is a good example of what we saw in that

  152. place. So the things that he said in the four

  153. Gospels, or the thing that Jesus was saying,

  154. even as we're from the teaching on Sunday, is

  155. some of the things he said were post -resurrection

  156. realities. Praise the Lord. Some of the things

  157. he's saying were post -resurrection realities.

  158. So when he said, I pray the Father. We saw that

  159. he's saying that because of the things I will

  160. do, because of the fact that I will die, I will

  161. be buried and I will be raised up, I pray the

  162. Father. I make a request on your behalf. Praise

  163. the Lord. John chapter 1. John chapter 1. John

John 1 chapter mention John 1 chapter mention John 1 chapter mention

  164. chapter 1 from verse 1 to 14. In the beginning

  165. was the Word, the Word was with God, and the

  166. Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

  167. All things were made through him, and without

  168. him nothing was made. Nothing was made that was

  169. made. In him was life, and the life was the life

  170. of men. And the light shines in darkness, and

  171. darkness did not comprehend it. There is a man

  172. sent from God, whose name was John. This man

  173. came for a witness, to bear witness of the light,

  174. that all things through him, that all through

  175. him my belief. He was not a light. but he was

  176. sent to bear witness of the light. That was the

  177. true light which gave light to every man. Sorry,

  178. he was not the light, but you're sent to bear

  179. witness of the light. That was the true light

  180. which bears light to every man coming into the

  181. world. He was in the world and the world was

  182. made through him and the world did not know him.

  183. He came to his own and his own did not receive

  184. him. But as many as receive him, to him he gave

  185. the right to become children of God, to those

  186. who believe in his name, who were born not of

  187. blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the

  188. will of man, but of God. The Word became flesh

  189. and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory,

  190. the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,

  191. full of grace and truth. Praise the Lord. Full

  192. of grace and of truth. So John is saying to us

  193. that the Old Testament prophecies have been fulfilled

  194. in the Incarnation. Praise the Lord. The Old

  195. Testament prophecies have been fulfilled in the

  196. Incarnation. The things that have been prophesied

  197. about the Christ, or the things that have been

  198. prophesied about what God is going to be doing,

  199. they have come to fulfillment. The prophecies

  200. of the Old Testament have come to fulfillment

  201. in the Incarnation. Praise the Lord. The Christ

  202. is here. So when he says, in the beginning was

  203. the Word, as we know, that Word is the Word Logos,

  204. right? That is the Logos in which, sorry, in

  205. the prophet, right? And that Logos became flesh.

  206. The things that the prophet have said for thousands

  207. of years have come to materialize in the incarnation

  208. of the Christ. Praise the Lord. So that's what

  209. John is saying to us in John chapter 1, from

    John 1 chapter mention

  210. verse 1 to 14. In verse 14, he tells us that

  211. the Word became flesh. He became flesh. So if

  212. you look at what Jesus did in the four Gospels,

  213. you will come to this conclusion that the things

  214. that have been prophesied have come to fulfillment

  215. in the Incarnation. Praise the Lord. So Jesus

  216. is God's plan and purpose for humanity. He's

  217. not just an addition to the world or to the things

  218. that God has in plan or the plans of God. He's

  219. not just an addition. He's the God's plan and

  220. purposes for humanity. This is God's idea to

  221. humanity. He's not just an addition or an alternative

  222. to the plans of God. He's the fulfillment of

  223. the things that God desired in humanity. Praise

  224. the Lord. He's a fulfillment of what God desires

  225. in humanity. He's the explanation of everything.

  226. Praise the Lord. In verse 18 now. He says, no

  227. one has seen God at any time. The only begotten,

  228. the only begotten, the only begotten of... Praise

  229. the Lord. So Christ has declared him. He's the

  230. explanation of everything. So this word declared

  231. him is the word... G -E -O -M -A -I. He's a word

  232. to share in experience or to share your experience.

  233. Praise the Lord. He's a word to share your experience.

  234. So God, Jesus is the experience of God. Praise

  235. the Lord. He said because he declared him. He's

  236. God's, he's the Father's manifest. He explained

  237. God to us. Praise the Lord. It's this word that

  238. he explains God to us. We understand God through

  239. him. Because remember, we were reading last week,

  240. and he tells us that if you see him, you have

  241. seen the Father. Praise the Lord. He's the explanation

  242. of the Father. And then this word bosom is the

  243. word kaupos. K -O -L -P -O -S. So he's not...

  244. You know, bosom is, I looked at it, is the top

  245. part of your chest. Right? So, it's an idiom.

  246. It's not that Christ is the top part of God's

  247. chest. Okay? So, it's not what he's saying. Right?

  248. When he says that, the second part of that, verse

  249. 18 says, who is in the bosom of the Father, he

  250. has declared him. He's not saying that Christ

  251. is in the chest of God and he's declaring him.

  252. Praise the Lord. It's an idiom and it means an

  253. inseparable union. Praise the Lord. And it's

  254. the same theme of what we have been seeing or

  255. what we have been studying, that God is in him

  256. and he is in God. If you have seen him, you have

  257. seen the Father. Praise the Lord. He's in the

  258. bosom of the Father. It means an inseparable

  259. union. Praise the Lord. So Christ is in insuperable

  260. union with God and he has declared a father.

  261. He's the explanation of the father. He's the

  262. experience of the father. Praise the Lord. So

  263. he declared a father, right? So that's why we

  264. can see that they were using things like pronoun

  265. at the end of that. He said, who is in the bosom

  266. of the father? He said he has declared him. Praise

  267. the Lord. He has declared him there. John chapter

    John 10 chapter mention

  268. 10. John chapter 10 John chapter 10 Proverbs

John 10 chapter mention John 10 chapter mention

  269. 1 to 5 Most assuredly I say to you, he who does

  270. not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs

  271. up some other way, the same is a thief, and a

  272. robber. For he who enters by the door is the

  273. shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper

  274. opens, and the sheep hears his voice. He calls

  275. on his own sheep by name, and he leads them out.

  276. And when he brings them out, when he brings out

  277. his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep

  278. follow him, for they know his voice. Praise the

  279. Lord. Verse 5 now said, Yet they will not by

  280. any means follow a stranger, but they will flee

  281. from him, for they do not know the voice of a

  282. stranger. Praise the Lord. For they do not know

  283. the voice of a stranger. So in verse 3, he tells

  284. us that the sheep, he said, knows his voice.

  285. In verse 4, he tells us that For they know His

  286. voice. They know His voice. They know the voice

  287. of the Father. Praise the Lord. Whose voice do

  288. they know? They know the voice of the Father.

  289. They know Him. They know His voice. So one fundamental

  290. thing about the believer, or you can say two

  291. fundamental things about the believer, is that

  292. one, the believer has the Spirit of God in the

  293. inside of them. The believer has the Spirit of

  294. God in the inside of them. Secondly, the believer

  295. has the ability to know when God is speaking.

  296. Let me say that again. Fundamental fact about

  297. a believer, or fundamental fact about you, you

  298. have the Spirit of God in the inside of you.

  299. Secondly, you know when God is speaking. Praise

  300. the Lord. And again, it means that you don't

  301. need to pray to have this ability. The believer

  302. has the Spirit of God in the inside of them.

  303. Secondly, they have the ability to know when

  304. God is speaking. Thirdly, they don't need to

  305. pray for that ability that they have. Praise

  306. the Lord. Now, the believer may be ignorant of

  307. this fact. Praise the Lord. The believer may

  308. be ignorant of this fact that they have the ability

  309. to know when God is speaking or to hear the voice

  310. of God. Right? Or they might ignore the voice

  311. of God. But it's not the absence of it. Do you

  312. understand? The fundamental thing about us is

  313. that we have the Spirit of God in the inside

  314. of us. We have the ability to know when God is

  315. speaking to us. We don't need to pray for this

  316. ability. We may ignore it or may be ignorant

  317. of it. But it doesn't mean that there is an absence

  318. of it. It doesn't mean there is an absence of

  319. this ability. Praise the Lord. Because the human

  320. spirit, the born -again human spirit recognizes

  321. the truth. They know what truth is. As a believer,

  322. you know what truth is. Your spirit is able to

  323. recognize truth. It can relate with truth. Praise

  324. the Lord. It can relate with truth. So when you

  325. find people arguing about what is truth, right,

  326. you need to pray for them. Praise the Lord. You

  327. need to pray for them. So you can also say that,

  328. oh, I made a mistake. You can say I made a mistake.

  329. It is also true that there has been warning and

  330. sign by the Spirit of God concerning that mistake.

  331. Praise the Lord. So you can say, I made a mistake,

  332. or you cannot say, I made a mistake, right? But

  333. one thing that you cannot say is that you did

  334. not receive warning or signs to tell you that,

  335. oh, that is the wrong direction. Oh, don't do

  336. that. Or you find conflict with the inside of

  337. you about the things that you want to do. Like

  338. I said, you may ignore it. Or maybe ignorant

  339. of it. But you would receive warning because

  340. you have the Spirit of God in the inside of you.

  341. Praise the Lord. They know His voice. They know

  342. His voice. They know His voice. And what is this

  343. talking about? From verse 7 to 10, he's talking

  344. about salvation. But we'll get to that. They

  345. know his voice. Because the reason why you know

  346. or why you receive this warning and you know

  347. the voice of God is because you are born again.

  348. You are born again. Why? Verse 4 of John chapter

    John 10 chapter mention

  349. 10. He said, and when he brings out his own sheep,

  350. He goes before them and the sheep follows for

  351. they know his voice. Praise the Lord. He said

  352. when he brings out his own sheep, right? He goes

  353. before the sheep. He goes in front of it to tell

  354. you, oh, this is the way you should go. This

  355. is what you should be doing. Oh, don't go that

  356. way. He goes before them because he doesn't,

  357. he's not a shepherd that is behind. Praise the

  358. Lord. He's not a shepherd that is behind the

  359. sheep. He's always in front of the sheep and

  360. he's telling them this direction. Oh no, let's

  361. go this direction. This is the way you should

  362. go. They follow him. Praise the Lord. And they

  363. say they know his voice. That is the reason why

  364. you cannot say, or you can also say, but the

  365. thing you cannot deny is that there has been

  366. warning along the line or signs along the line,

  367. suggesting to you that that part is a good part

  368. or suggesting to you that that part is not a

  369. good part. Praise the Lord. Because you are born

  370. again. He goes before them. And what does he

  371. do before them? He directs them. He instructs

  372. them. He guides them. He tells them, go this

  373. way. Don't go that way. So you might be learning

  374. the things that he's telling you. You might be

  375. learning the things that you're just learning

  376. that, oh, that is wrong. Oh, that is wrong. You

  377. might be in that process of learning. But he

  378. shows you what you should do. Sometimes you ignore

  379. them. Sometimes you don't listen to them. Praise

  380. the Lord. In verse 7 to 10. So then Jesus said

  381. to them again, Most assuredly I say to you, I

  382. am the door of the sheep. All who come, all who

  383. came, whoever came before me are thieves and

  384. robbers. But the sheep do not hear them. Verse

  385. 10. Praise the Lord. So this is telling us about

  386. salvation. Praise the Lord. It's telling us about

  387. salvation. Right? Let's go back again. In verse

  388. 3 and verse 4 and verse 16 tells us that, in

  389. verse 3 he says, they hear his voice. In verse

  390. 4, he tells us that they know his voice. In verse

  391. 16, he tells us that, and the other sheep that

  392. I have, which are not of this food, them also

  393. I must bring. They will hear my voice and will

  394. be, and they will be. One flock and one shepherd.

  395. Praise the Lord. He said, they will hear my voice.

  396. They will hear my voice. Praise the Lord. They

  397. will hear my voice. So when he says they will

  398. hear my voice, he's also suggesting to us or

  399. telling us as well that these are post -resurrection

  400. experience. Praise the Lord. There are others

  401. that will come after the resurrection into this

  402. fold. He's talking about salvation. Praise the

  403. Lord. They hear his voice. They know his voice.

  404. They will hear his voice. It's the word phoneme.

  405. Right? Like phone. It's spelled phone. Right?

  406. But it's pronounced phoneme. Right? Phone as

  407. P -H -O -N -E. That is the word voice. Right?

  408. It's a word funny. It's pronounced funny. It's

  409. not, it's not just, it does not just mean sound

  410. or voice. Okay? It's much more deeper than that.

  411. It, it means or is used for dialect. Right? It

  412. is used for dialect in this place. It is used

  413. for dialect. It means that they know his language.

  414. Praise the Lord. It means that they know his

  415. language. They know his voice. So, like I said,

  416. when he says that they will not hear somebody

  417. else or they will not follow somebody else, he's

  418. saying that they know his language. He's not

  419. just saying that a shepherd will just come and

  420. say, hey, let's start going. Right? A shepherd

  421. will come and will speak their language. Praise

  422. the Lord. He said they will hear his voice. It

  423. means that they know there's a language that

  424. he speaks to them. Praise the Lord. There is

  425. the language of the Spirit, the things that they

  426. understand. Praise the Lord. They know His voice.

  427. They know His language. There is a language that

  428. they understand. They are aware of this language.

  429. The strangest language they will not follow.

  430. Praise the Lord. Because already they will see

  431. it as a red flag. Oh, something is wrong there.

  432. That's not what we speak. Praise the Lord. That's

  433. why when I say to you that you cannot see or...

  434. You can say, but you can never deny that you

  435. don't understand the language of the Spirit.

  436. Praise the Lord. You might ignore it or might

  437. not take it as important, but it's speaking to

  438. you because you have the Spirit of God in the

  439. inside of you. A stranger's voice, a stranger's

  440. language, they will not follow. Praise the Lord.

  441. So, you look at it as not just, oh, when you

  442. look at it literally, you say like, okay, how

  443. would they differentiate? His voice. He now tells

  444. us what we are seeing is that there is a language

  445. that he speaks to them. Or there is a language

  446. that they understand. So there is no confusion

  447. about whether it is God who is saying or the

  448. devil who is saying it. Praise the Lord. Or it

  449. is God who is saying it or a stranger who is

  450. saying it. Hallelujah. They know his voice. Verse

  451. 9. Verse 9 and 10 tells us that, he said, I'm

  452. the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be

  453. saved. And he says, and will go in and out and

  454. find pasture. And verse 10 says, that the thief

  455. does not come except to steal, to kill, and to

  456. destroy. But I've come that they may have life

  457. and that they may have it more abundantly. They

  458. will go out, they will come in, and they will

  459. find pasture. So the more abundantly in verse

  460. 10, he said that they may have it more abundantly.

  461. Or abundantly in verse 10, he's talking about

  462. that they will have abundance of pasture. What

  463. is he saying in verse 9? Praise the Lord. What

  464. is he saying in verse 9? They will have the abundantly

  465. of verse 10 is the pasture. He's not talking

  466. about cars. He's not talking about houses. He's

  467. not talking about mansions. He's not talking

  468. about businesses. Praise the Lord. Abundantly.

  469. So abundantly is the word periosis. P -E -R -I

  470. -S -S. P -E -R -I -S -S -O -S. Which means that

  471. what I'm doing now, or what I'm doing, or what

  472. I'm doing is to give you more abundantly, or

  473. what I'm doing will make you more abundant. Praise

  474. the Lord. It means what I'm doing will give you

  475. or will make you more abundant. What I'm doing

  476. will make you more abundant. You will have abundance

  477. of pasture. Praise the Lord. You will have abundance

  478. of pasture. So like I said earlier, some of the

  479. things that he says are post -resurrection experience.

  480. We see in verse 11. Right? In verse 11. He says,

  481. I'm the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives

  482. his life for the sheep. Praise the Lord. Speaking

  483. of sacrifice, right? Speaking of sacrifice, some

  484. of the things that he's saying are not available

  485. at the moment. We saw that in verse 16. He said,

  486. they will hear my voice. Praise the Lord. Some

  487. of the things he's saying are post -resurrection

  488. experience. They will know my voice, verse 3.

  489. Verse 4, they will know my voice. He said, for

  490. they will know my voice. Praise the Lord. So,

  491. direction, or to get direction, is a new... It's

  492. a reality of the new creation. Praise the Lord.

  493. To get direction is a new creation reality. Praise

  494. the Lord. It is. To get direction is the things

  495. that come with being born again. It is not a

  496. mystery. You can explain it. Praise the Lord.

  497. Why can you explain it? Because you know His

  498. voice. Praise the Lord. You know His voice. Verse

  499. 11 and 15. He said, I'm the good shepherd. The

  500. good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. In

  501. verse 15 now says, As the Father knows me, even

  502. so I know the Father, and I lay my life for the

  503. sheep. Praise the Lord. I lay my life for the

  504. sheep. He said, He gives His life. What life

  505. is He giving? Right? What life is he going to

  506. give? He said the life in the resurrection. The

  507. life in the resurrection. He laid down his life

  508. for the sheep. The life he's giving is the life

  509. in resurrection, which means that Jesus is reproduced

  510. in us. Praise the Lord, in resurrection. Jesus

  511. is reproduced in us. This life is available in

  512. resurrection. Praise the Lord. This life is available

  513. in resurrection. So that's what he says to go

  514. and preach. Go and preach. Go and make disciples

  515. of every nation. Go and make disciples of every

  516. nation. There is a life in resurrection. There

  517. is a new reality in resurrection. Praise the

  518. Lord. There is a new reality in resurrection.

  519. This life is available in resurrection. John

    John 8:12

  520. chapter 8, verse 12. Then Jesus spoke to them

  521. again, saying, I am the light of the world. He

  522. who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but

  523. have the light of life. Praise the Lord. Jesus

  524. spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of

  525. the world. He who follows me shall not walk in

  526. darkness, but have the light of life. Praise

  527. the Lord. So the follower or the believer does

  528. not walk in darkness. Praise the Lord. The believer

  529. does not walk in darkness. Why? Because he has

  530. the light of life. Praise the Lord. He does not

  531. walk in darkness. There is direction for his

  532. life. He hears the Father's voice. Praise the

  533. Lord. He hears the Father's voice because he

  534. has the life of God. He does not walk in darkness.

  535. Praise the Lord. Can somebody say, I have the

  536. light of life. I have the light of life. I know

  537. the voice of the good shepherd. I know the voice

  538. of the good shepherd. The voice of a stranger

  539. I will not follow. Praise the Lord. So he says

  540. to them that they have the light of life. They

  541. know the voice of the good shepherd. They understand

  542. the dialect of the good shepherd. The voice of

  543. the stranger they will not follow. Praise the

  544. Lord. So whenever you are confused or on the

  545. crossroad, or you need to speak to yourself as

  546. often as you can, That I have the light of life.

  547. I know the voice of a good shepherd. I don't

  548. follow everything. Praise the Lord. I don't follow

  549. every trend. I'm not taught by somebody else.

  550. I know the voice of the good shepherd. Praise

  551. the Lord. I don't follow the voices of my generation.

  552. I don't follow the voices that draw men away

  553. from God. I don't follow the voices that trend.

  554. Praise the Lord. I hear the voice of a good shepherd.

  555. I hear the voice of the good shepherd. I have

  556. the light of life. Praise the Lord. It means

  557. that there is no darkness. I cannot be confused.

  558. Praise the Lord. I have direction in my life.

  559. Praise the Lord. So you need to train yourself

  560. to speak the abilities of God. Not the many things

  561. that are not going right in your life. Speak

  562. the abilities of God in your life. Praise the

  563. Lord. Speak the abilities of God in your life.

  564. Not the negative things around you. Not the inabilities

  565. around you. Not the things that are not working.

  566. Rather, the abilities of God in your life. Why?

  567. Because you have the Spirit of God in the inside

  568. of you. And you know the voice of the Father.

  569. You understand His dialect. Praise the Lord.

  570. You understand His dialect. So how do you know?

  571. That you know the voice of the good shepherd.

  572. Because you are born again. That is how you know.

  573. That is how you know. Praise the Lord. So last

  574. Sunday we said that how do you know that God

  575. is leading you? You know that he is leading you

  576. because it is for his sake, not your sake. Praise

  577. the Lord. So you know the voice of the good shepherd

  578. because you are born again. That is how you know.

  579. Praise the Lord. So if you don't know the voice

  580. of the good shepherd, you will not be born again.

  581. Because it is the same voice that convinced you

  582. about the Christ. Praise the Lord. It is the

  583. same voice that convinced you about the Christ.

  584. It is that voice that you recognize at salvation.

  585. When somebody preached the gospel to you, when

  586. somebody shared the word to you, that voice,

  587. you recognized it. Praise the Lord. So if you

  588. recognize the voice of God in salvation, or you

  589. recognize the voice of God in the gospel that

  590. was preached to you, it means that you know the

  591. voice of God. Praise the Lord. So that is how

  592. you know. So I'm not saying something that is,

  593. okay, say an affirmation. Sorry. I'm not saying

  594. something like, you know, they tell you, they

  595. call it a make -believe. Say something. Say something

  596. until you believe it. Just keep saying it. Keep

  597. saying it. That's what I'm doing. Okay? It's

  598. not like that. You know because you recognize

  599. the voice of God at salvation. Because when the

  600. gospel was shared to you, you found out. You

  601. can hear the voice of God in the message that

  602. is being preached. God was speaking to you. The

  603. person was saying something, but you were hearing

  604. something else. You were able to detect the dialect

  605. of God in the message that was preached to you.

  606. Praise the Lord. That is how you know. It is

  607. not a make -believe. It's not say it until you

  608. believe it. Praise the Lord. It's an affirmation

  609. of your reality, of the realities of your faith.

  610. So when you say, I know the voice of God, it

  611. is the affirmation of your reality. You are saying

  612. what you have. You are saying what you have.

  613. You're not trying to say it until you believe

  614. it. You're not lying to yourself. Praise the

  615. Lord. You're not lying to yourself. You are affirming

  616. what you... Have already the realities of your

  617. faith. When you say, I know the voice of the

  618. good shepherd. Why? Because you're the sheep

  619. of his pasture. Praise the Lord. You say you

  620. know the voice of the good shepherd. Why? Because

  621. you're the sheep of his pasture. You're not a

  622. stranger. You are among the indwellers. Praise

  623. the Lord. You are among the people that are united

  624. in the place. Praise the Lord. You are in him

  625. and him in you. Hallelujah. You know his voice.

  626. Romans chapter 8. Romans chapter 8. From verse

Romans 8 chapter mention Romans 8 chapter mention

  627. 13 to 17. For if you live according to the flesh,

  628. you will die. But if by the Spirit you put to

  629. death the deeds of the body, you will live. For

  630. as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these

  631. are the sons of God. For you do not receive the

  632. spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have

  633. received the spirit of adoption by which we cry

  634. out, Abba, Father. Praise the Lord. That we may

  635. also be glorified together. In verse 14, he says

  636. what? For as many as are led by the Spirit of

  637. God, he's talking about salvation. As many as

  638. are led by the Spirit of God, he's talking about

  639. salvation. In verse 15, he tells us that, For

  640. you do not receive the Spirit of bondage again

  641. to fear, but you have received the Spirit of

  642. adoption, by whom you cry out, Abba, Father.

  643. Praise the Lord. So when he says, When we say

  644. we cry Abba Father, it's also another idiom,

  645. right? He's not saying that, you know, we just

  646. say Abba Father, Abba Father, Abba Father. That's

  647. not what he's saying. When he says by which we

  648. cry Abba Father, right? We're not shouting Abba

  649. Father, Abba Father. Do you understand? Maybe

  650. you expect something to happen. Praise the Lord.

  651. But what he's saying there is what? He shows

  652. relationship. By which we cry out, Abba, Father,

  653. it simply means that we have relationship to

  654. God or we have relationship with God. It shows

  655. relationship that we are dear to God. Praise

  656. the Lord. So when you say, Abba, Father, it shows

  657. relationship that you are dear to God, our Father.

  658. In verse 16 tells us, He said, For the Spirit

  659. himself bear witness with our spirits that we

  660. are children. The Spirit bears witness with our

  661. spirit that we are children of God. Bears witness

  662. is the word somatoro, right? Is S -Y -M -A -R

  663. -T -Y -R -E -O. So it means to bear joint witness.

  664. Praise the Lord. Two people saying the same thing.

  665. Right? Your witness is the same. What Pastor

  666. Custin is saying and what Mr. Gabriel is saying

  667. is they are talking about the same thing. They

  668. are bearing witness of the same fact. It's a

  669. joint witness. Two things saying the same thing.

  670. Two things as one. Praise the Lord. Meaning that

  671. we are in union with God. He said, for the Spirit

  672. bears witness with our spirit that we are children

  673. of God. Praise the Lord. That we're children

  674. of God. He's saying that we're in union with

  675. God. We are in union with God. Praise the Lord.

  676. Can somebody say, I'm in union with God? I am

  677. in union with God in Christ Jesus. I'm in union

  678. with God in Christ Jesus. It is a realm of knowledge.

  679. And absolute knowledge. Praise the Lord. So you

  680. know the Father. You know the Father's will.

  681. Praise the Lord. You are in union with the Father.

  682. What does that mean? You know the Father. You

  683. know what the Father is saying. You know His

  684. desires. Praise the Lord. You know the Father's

  685. will. You know what His plans are. You know what

  686. His purposes are. And you walk in it. Praise

  687. the Lord. You are an absolute light, right? You

  688. are an absolute direction. There is no shadow

  689. in your life. There is no shadow in this realm

  690. of life that we have in God. Praise the Lord.

  691. There is no shadow in this realm of God that

  692. we have. Hallelujah. So when the gospel is preached,

  693. right, by us, it's to the unsaved. We preach

  694. the gospel to the unsaved. But we also live the

  695. gospel. Praise the Lord. But we also live the

  696. gospel. Our life shows the gospel. We also speak

  697. the gospel. Praise the Lord. We speak it to ourselves.

  698. Praise the Lord. We speak it to ourselves. How

  699. do we speak it to ourselves? You see, I know

  700. the voice of the good shepherd. Praise the Lord.

  701. I know the voice of the good shepherd. I have

  702. direction, absolute direction. I have the light

  703. of life. Praise the Lord. So the fact of the

  704. gospel must form the way that we live our life.

  705. Praise the Lord. It must form the way that we

  706. live our lives. It must form our conversation.

  707. It must form the lifestyle that we live. Praise

  708. the Lord. The fact of the gospel must affect

  709. every area of your life. Why? Because you have

  710. the Spirit of God in the inside of you. The realities

  711. are available now. Praise the Lord. It is no

  712. longer that it is at resurrection. Praise the

  713. Lord. It is an available reality to you right

  714. now. That you have absolute direction. That you

  715. don't live your life by chance. Praise the Lord.

  716. You don't live your life by chance. You will

  717. not say, if it works, we'll do it. You will not

  718. say it will do what it will do. Praise the Lord.

  719. You don't live your life by chance. You know

  720. the voice of the Father. You know the voice of

  721. the Father because you are born again. You know

  722. the voice of the Father because you are born

  723. again. You know the voice of the Father because

  724. you are born again. It is a voice that you listen

  725. to, like I said earlier, that convinced you about

  726. Jesus. It is a voice that you had as salvation

  727. that convinced you about Jesus. So it is not

  728. normal for us as believers to say we do not hear

  729. God. Hallelujah. Or we are not sensitive to the

  730. leading of God. We are not sensitive to the leading

  731. of God. Even before Catholicism is still far,

  732. a lot of things have been coming. Praise the

  733. Lord. And if I ask a couple of us, you will tell

  734. us what you have seen or what you have had or

  735. what God will do. Praise the Lord. Because you

  736. have the Spirit of God in the inside of you.

  737. Praise the Lord. You will perceive warnings for

  738. people. You will perceive direction for people.

  739. You will perceive the things that people should

  740. do. Praise the Lord. So it's not normal for you

  741. to say that you don't hear the voice of the Father.

  742. You are not sensitive to the leading of the Holy

  743. Spirit. Why? Because if you're a believer, it

  744. is the same voice that helped you or led you

  745. or made you believe the gospel. Praise the Lord.

  746. So you should not be happy that you don't hear,

  747. that you're not sensitive. You don't know what

  748. God is saying per time, per season. Praise the

  749. Lord. Or if you are, stop ignoring it. Don't

  750. say, what would they tell you? What would they

  751. say? Praise the Lord. One of the words of vision

  752. that came because of the cataclysmos and this

  753. church that we are having is because it is that

  754. people will begin to look, right? There's a vision.

  755. that we receive, that people of the outside,

  756. people that cover their hair, they are looking.

  757. They are sitting and looking. So what are they

  758. doing? They are interested in the things that

  759. are doing because this church, the Lord has been

  760. leading it. Praise the Lord. As a result of the

  761. cataclysm, there are people who are sitting somewhere

  762. looking and looking. What are they doing? Why

  763. are they in school from Monday to Friday or Saturday?

  764. There are people that are looking, and that is

  765. what God is saying He's going to be doing in

  766. this season. He's going to draw men to this place.

  767. Why? Because we are obedient to the voice of

  768. the Father. Praise the Lord. We are obedient

  769. to the voice of the Father. So you can never

  770. say, I've not had it. Praise the Lord. That is

  771. not a true statement. That is not a true statement.

  772. Why? Because He abides in the inside of you.

  773. Praise the Lord. He abides in the inside of you.

  774. You have no option but to hear him. So mixing

  775. up your life with many, many things or the things

  776. that do not please God, you're just delaying

  777. or refusing the hearers. Praise the Lord. But

  778. he's telling you, oh, that place, don't go there.

  779. Oh, that person, don't do this. Oh, that, don't

  780. do this. But you sometimes ignore it. Praise

  781. the Lord. So you cannot say that you do not hear

  782. God because he has been speaking. He has convinced

  783. you about Jesus. He has convinced you about the

  784. things of the gospel. Praise the Lord. Can we

  785. just bow our heads and just begin to pray? And

  786. just ask God to help us to be sensitive to the

  787. leading of the Spirit. We appreciate you being

  788. here today. We hope you carry this word with

  789. you throughout your week. Don't forget to check
