  1. Hi there. Welcome to NECF. We're excited to share

  2. today's message with you. Don't go anywhere.

  3. Stay with us till the end for some valuable resources

  4. to enrich your faith. Here's today's sermon.

  5. Let's have our seat once again. Matthew 16. When

  6. Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi,

  7. he asked his disciples, who do men say I, the

  8. son of Manam? So they said, some said John the

  9. Baptist, some Elijah, others Jeremiah, or one

  10. of the prophets. He said to them, but who do

  11. you say I am? Simon Peter answered and said,

  12. You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

  13. Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you,

  14. Simon Bar -Jonah, for flesh and blood has not

  15. revealed this to you, but my Father who is in

  16. heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter,

  17. and on this rock, I will build my church and

  18. the gates of Hades shall not prevail against

  19. it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom

  20. of heaven. And whatever you bind on earth will

  21. be bound in heaven. And whatever you lose on

  22. earth will be loosed in heaven. Hallelujah. So

  23. we see the question that Jesus Christ asked.

  24. Who do men say? I, the son of man. Who do men

  25. say? Who do men say I, the son of man, am? Specifically

  26. what? The son of man. That word son of man is

  27. very important. And we're going to study this

  28. briefly. Who do men say I, the son of man, am?

  29. So Jesus asks about the son of man. He called

  30. himself what? The son of man. Who do men say

  31. the son of man is? But let's look at Peter's

  32. reply. Let's look at Peter's answer. But Peter

  33. called him what? He called him the Christ. Simon

  34. Peter answered, you are the Christ. So this son

  35. of man, Peter said is what? Is Christ. Is the

  36. Christ. And this Christ is what? Is he the son

  37. of man? What did he say? He's the son of the

  38. living God. So the man, the son of man that Jesus

  39. asked about, Peter, by revelation, called him

  40. what? He called him the Christ. Amen? The Christ,

  41. the son of who? Of the living God. The Christ,

  42. son of the living God. What does Christ mean?

  43. Of course it means the Messiah, the anointed.

  44. The anointed. The one that has been anointed

  45. for a purpose. And the purpose is what? It's

  46. redemption. So where will Peter get this understanding

  47. about the Christ from? What is the source of

  48. his revelation? What is the source of his information

  49. about the Christ? Father, I don't know who will

  50. see Jesus who will say that flesh and blood has

  51. not what? Has not revealed his truth to you.

  52. But who? But my father who is in heaven. So Peter's

  53. revelation about the Christ, about the son of

  54. man, is from the scriptures. The Bible didn't

  55. report to us that suddenly Peter went into a

  56. trance. Right? He went into a supernatural experience.

  57. The Bible didn't tell us that Peter just fell

  58. on the ground. And then something, you know,

  59. happened. You know, there was a cloud and smoke.

  60. And then, you know, he had a voice. No, no, no,

  61. no, no, no. Peter responded that you are the

  62. Christ. The son of the living God. So it was

  63. not an angelic visitation he had. Or sort of

  64. an experience that is spooky in nature. But Peter's

  65. confession is what? Is faith. Peter's confession

  66. is faith in what the scripture has said about

  67. the Messiah. About who the Christ is. This is

  68. what is called revelation. agreeing with what

  69. the scripture has said, seeing from the perspective

  70. of scriptural prophecies, the prophecies that

  71. have been said about the Christ. He believed

  72. this prophecy. And this is the revelation that

  73. Peter had. Now, this is not the only place we

  74. see this confession. In John chapter 1, Chapter

    John 1 chapter mention

  75. 1. Let's go back to John chapter 1. We see a

    John 1 chapter mention

  76. similar situation where. A similar confession

  77. was made. John chapter 1 verse 43. Where Philip

    John 1:43

  78. and Nathaniel were. John chapter 1 verse 43 to

    John 1:43–45

  79. 45. The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee.

  80. And he found Philip. and said to him, follow

  81. me. Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of

  82. Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathaniel and

  83. said to him, we have found him. Wait a minute.

  84. They have what? They have found him. So it means

  85. that they were looking for a him. They were expecting

  86. someone. Because without expectation, they will

  87. not say we are found. They were expecting someone.

  88. Philip found Nathanael and said to him, we have

  89. found him of whom Moses in the law and also the

  90. prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth. The son of

  91. who? The son of Joseph. The son of Joseph revealing

  92. His what? His biological what? His biological

  93. family. Let me use the word biological family.

  94. Human family. The son of Joseph. And Nathaniel

  95. said to him, can anything good come out of Nazareth?

  96. Philip said to him, come and see. Come and see.

  97. So we see here that there was an expectation.

  98. And their expectation is from what? It's from

  99. the prophecies of scripture. It's from what the

  100. prophets have written. It's from what Moses have

  101. written. It's from what the prophets have written

  102. concerning the Christ. Concerning the Christ.

  103. We have found him of whom Moses in the law and

  104. also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the

  105. son of Joseph. And Nathanael said to him, can

  106. anything good come out of Nazareth? Philip said

  107. to him, come and see. So Jesus saw Nathanael

  108. coming towards him and said of him, behold an

  109. Israelite indeed whom is no deceit. Amen. So

  110. the revelation of Peter is what? Is a revelation

  111. of scripture. Peter's confession. Is from the

  112. writings of Moses. Is from his understanding

  113. of what? Of the writings of the prophets. Peter

  114. confessed the son of the living God. The son

  115. of the living God. The Christ from God. Meaning

  116. that he is from heaven. The son of the living

  117. God. Meaning that. Jesus. Is the Christ. And

  118. what the prophets have said about the Christ.

  119. Is a word. That he is a son of God. What the

  120. prophets have written in their prophecies. In

  121. their teachings. In their ministry. Is that word.

  122. That the Christ. Will be called the son of God.

  123. The Christ. Will be the son of God. And what

  124. Bible verse is in the prophets, in the Psalms,

  125. where Peter believed that the Messiah would be

  126. called the Son of God? How did he come to the

  127. conclusion that Jesus is the Son of God? Remember

  128. what Jesus asked, number one, Jesus asked about

  129. what? About who men say the Son of Man is. But

  130. Peter, Say he is the son of God. So how did Peter

  131. come to this conclusion about Jesus, the son

  132. of God? Psalms 2 verse 7. Psalms 2 verse 7. In

    Psalms 2:7 Psalms 2:7

  133. the prophecy of David, he says, I will declare

  134. the degree. The Lord has said to me, you are

  135. my son. Today, I have what? I have begotten you.

  136. We can see properly, referenced by other writers

  137. in the New Testament. For example, now, in Paul's

  138. sermon at Antioch in Acts chapter 13, verse 33.

    Acts 13:33

  139. I just want to show to us, you know, some of

  140. the instances. In the writings of the prophets,

  141. where there is a revelation that the Christ is

  142. going to be called the Son of God. Hallelujah.

  143. And in Acts 13, verse 33, we see where Paul was

    Acts 13:33

  144. preaching. He says, God has fulfilled this for

  145. us, their children, in that he has raised up

  146. Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm.

  147. So he's calling Jesus, he's connecting Jesus

  148. to who? To the prophecy that was written in the

  149. Psalms. That Jesus is the son of God. That Jesus,

  150. who they know as the son of Joseph, that Jesus,

  151. whom they know as the son of who? Of Mary, as

  152. it is written, you are my son, today I have begotten

  153. you. We also see Hebrews chapter 1. Hebrews chapter

Hebrews 1 chapter mention Hebrews 1 chapter mention

  154. 1. Making reference to that as well. Hebrews

    Hebrews 1 chapter mention

  155. chapter 1. Hebrews chapter 1 verse 1. God who

    Hebrews 1:1

  156. at various times and in various ways spoke in

  157. the time past to the fathers by the prophets.

  158. Has in these last days spoken to us by his son.

  159. Whom he has appointed heir of all things through

  160. whom also he made the worlds. Who being the brightness

  161. of his glory. And the express image of his person.

  162. And upholding all things by the word of his power.

  163. When he had by himself put out our sins. Sat

  164. down at the right hand. Of the majesty on high.

  165. Having become so much better than the angels.

  166. As he has. By inheritance. Obtained a more excellent

  167. name. Than they. For to which. Of the angels

  168. said he ever. He ever say. You are my son. You

  169. are my son. Today. I have begotten you. And again.

  170. I will be to him a father and he shall be to

  171. me a son. Emphasizing that the Messiah, the Christ

  172. who is a man is also the son of God. Isaiah chapter

    Isaiah 9:6

  173. 9 verse 6 we see also all these texts speaks

  174. of the Messiah, speaks of the Christ. Isaiah

    Isaiah 9:6

  175. 9 verse 6 says, For unto us a child is born,

  176. unto us a son is given, and the government will

  177. be upon his shoulders, and his name shall be

  178. Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting

  179. Father, Prince of Peace. So, The information

  180. or the revelation that Peter has is actually

  181. an understanding of what of the writings of the

  182. prophets. It's because he exercised faith in

  183. what the prophets have written about the Messiah.

  184. Because he believed in all that the prophets

  185. have said about the Messiah. So why is Jesus

  186. referred to as a son of God? And also the son

  187. of man. Why is he the son of God at the same

  188. time the son of man? Is it a confusion? Is it

  189. a challenge with the identity of Jesus? We must

  190. know him first as a son of man. We must also

  191. know him as a son of God. We must know this identity

  192. about Christ. That he is the son of God. And

  193. also, The son of man. In several scriptures,

  194. we will see that Jesus will often refer to himself

  195. as the son of God. Jesus is often referred to

  196. as the son of God. And this son of God is highlighting

  197. his divine nature. It's showing that Jesus is

  198. divine. Alright? Jesus, the son of God, the phrase

  199. Jesus, the son of God, Reveals to us. That he

  200. is what? He is divine. Meaning that he is of

  201. a divine nature. Meaning that he is from God.

  202. Meaning that he is God. It highlights his divine

  203. origin. And relationship with God. The father.

  204. The son of God. We see this in Matthew. Several

  205. scriptures that call him the son of God. Matthew

    Matthew 3 chapter mention

  206. chapter 3 was starting. Matthew chapter 3 was

    Matthew 3 chapter mention

  207. starting. Then Jesus came from Galilee to John.

  208. At baptism to be baptized by him. And John tried

  209. to prevent him saying. I need to be baptized

  210. by you. And to be baptized by you. And you are

  211. coming to me. But Jesus answered and said to

  212. him, permit me to do so now. For thus it is fitting

  213. for us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he

  214. allowed him. 16. When he had been baptized, Jesus

  215. came up immediately from the water. And behold,

  216. the heavens were opened to him. And he saw. Now

  217. John saw this. Saw this picture. Saw this revelation.

  218. He saw the spirit of God. descending like a dove,

  219. alighting upon him. And this is the voice he

  220. heard. And suddenly a voice came from heaven

  221. saying, this is my son in whom I am well pleased.

  222. So at the baptism we see Jesus, the son of who?

  223. The son of God. The father confirming that this

  224. is my son, that Jesus is the son of God. And

  225. of course we see Peter's... Confession, Matthew

  226. 16, 16. John chapter 1, verse 34. John chapter

    John 1:34 John 1:34

  227. 1, verse 34. John the Baptist. John chapter 1,

    John 1:34

  228. verse 34. Let's see. John 1, 34. And I have seen

  229. and testified that this is what This is the son

  230. of God. This is John's confession about Jesus.

  231. John the Baptist. The baptizer. That this is

  232. the son of God. Martha's confession. John chapter

    John 11:27

  233. 11 verse 27. She said to him. Yes Lord. I have

  234. believed you. I have believed that you are. the

  235. Christ yes you are the Christ the son of God

  236. who is to come into the world I believe you that

  237. you are what that you are the Christ the son

  238. of who son of God who is come into the world

  239. the purpose of John's gospel John chapter 20

    John 20:31

  240. verse 31 this is not this is John Who wrote the

  241. book of John? Not John the Baptist. Amen? John

    John 20:31

  242. 20, verse 31. But these are written that you

  243. may what? That you may believe. So the purpose

  244. of writing the book of John is that you may believe

  245. that Jesus is what? Is the Christ, the Son of

  246. God. And that believing you may have life in

  247. his name. Hallelujah. So, I want you to notice

  248. something. That the confession of men about Jesus

  249. is that he is the son of God. Hardly will you

  250. see, except the Pharisees, that will refer to

  251. Jesus Christ as the son of Joseph. Amen? Let

  252. me repeat what I just said. Hardly will you see

  253. any man referring to Jesus Christ as the son

  254. of Joseph or, I mean, calling him the son of

  255. man. Let me use the word, the terminology, son

  256. of man. Son of man. Hardly will you see anyone

  257. call Jesus son of man. But what we see littered

  258. around scriptures, confessions and understanding

  259. that Jesus Christ is what? Is the son of who?

  260. The son of God. Now, Jesus referred himself to

  261. as the son of man. And this emphasizes his humanity.

  262. All right? Jesus is a son of God. By revelation,

  263. we see he's a son of God. And Jesus is also what?

  264. He's also the son of man. And Jesus being the

  265. son of man emphasizes his humanity. And also

  266. his role as the prophesied Messiah. The Messiah

  267. was to be a man. Amen? The Messiah is to be what?

  268. Is to be a man. Daniel chapter 7 verse 13 speaks

    Daniel 7:13

  269. about this Messiah. Daniel chapter 7 verse 13

    Daniel 7:13–14

  270. to 14. Look at Daniel's revelation. I was watching

  271. in the night visions. And behold one like what?

  272. Like the son of God. Like the son of man. Coming

  273. with the clouds of heaven. And he came to the

  274. ancient of days. And I brought him near before

  275. him. Then to him was given dominion and glory

  276. and the kingdom. That all peoples, nations and

  277. languages should serve him. His dominion is an

  278. everlasting dominion. Which shall not pass away.

  279. And his kingdom. The one which shall not be destroyed.

  280. Hallelujah. So what Daniel saw was what? Was

  281. a son of man. Amen. In his vision he saw what?

  282. He saw man. He saw a man. Hallelujah. He saw

  283. a man. Meaning that they want to come and this

  284. with other scriptures, we'll look at it, we'll

  285. see prophecies that the Messiah is going to be

  286. a man. Hallelujah. So Jesus is what? He's a son

  287. of God. Jesus is what? He's a son of man. Matthew

  288. 8 20. Jesus, the son of man, where he calls himself

  289. the son of man. Matthew 8, 20. And Jesus said

  290. to him, foxes have holes and birds of the air

  291. have nests. But the son of man has nowhere to

  292. lay his head. It seems to me, oftentimes in scripture,

  293. When Jesus Christ is speaking to the disciples,

  294. he's speaking to people, he's teaching disciples,

  295. he always refers himself as a son of man. Alright?

  296. And when he talks to the Pharisees, he always

  297. wants to confirm to them that he's a son of God.

  298. I studied and I saw this consistency. Amen? Before

  299. the people he wants to relate himself and show

  300. them that he is a man that has come, that has

  301. been prophesied and he should die for their sins.

  302. And then to the rebellious because they see him

  303. only as what? As a son of Joseph. He always wants

  304. to show to them that he is the son of God. So,

  305. Matthew 8, 20. Yes, we just read this. Matthew

    Matthew 12:8

  306. 12, verse 8. Matthew 12, verse 8. Matthew 12,

    Matthew 12:8 Matthew 12:8

  307. verse 8. For the Son of Man is Lord even of the

  308. Sabbath. So, Jesus called himself the Son of

  309. Man when he performed a miracle on the Sabbath

  310. and then, you know, they complained, right? Matthew

    Matthew 20:28

  311. 20 verse 28. Matthew 20 verse 28. Son of man,

    Matthew 20:28

  312. Jesus the son of man. Matthew 20 verse 28. Just

    Matthew 20:28

  313. as the son of man did not come to be served,

  314. but to serve and to give his life a ransom for

  315. many. So the son of man came to serve and to

  316. give his life a ransom for many. Matthew 26,

  317. 64. Jesus said to him, it is as you said. Nevertheless,

  318. I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son

  319. of Man sitting at the right hand of the power

  320. and coming on the clouds of heaven. Clouds of

  321. heaven. The Son of Man. John 1 .51. John 1 .51.

  322. And he said to him, Most assuredly, I say to

  323. you, hereafter you shall see heaven opened and

  324. angels of God ascending and descending upon the

  325. Son of Man. So there are many scriptures. We

  326. see Jesus speaks this title about himself, the

  327. Son of Man, about 80 to 90 times across the Gospels.

  328. That's how much he kept emphasizing that he's

  329. the Son of Man. That's how important it is. Only

  330. two references will see where it is that in the

  331. Bible that is a non -Jesus reference. That is

  332. only two occasions in the scriptures will see

  333. where Jesus was said to be the son of man. That

  334. is not he himself that was professing. First

  335. one is Stephen. In Acts 7, verse 56, where Stephen

    Acts 7:56

  336. referred to him as the son of man. Acts 7, verse

    Acts 7:56

  337. 56. And said, look, I see the heavens open and

  338. the son of man standing at the right hand of

  339. God. Right? And also one in Revelation. Revelation

  340. 1, 13. And Revelation 14, 14. Give me Revelation

  341. 1, 13. Let's see. A non -Jesus reference of himself

  342. as the son of man. Revelation 1, 13. And in the

  343. midst of the seven lampstands, one like the son

  344. of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet

  345. and guided about the chest with a golden band.

  346. And then 1414, his head and hair were white like

  347. wool, as white as snow. And his eyes, 1414, sorry,

  348. not 114, 1414. Then I look and behold a white

  349. cloud on the... A white cloud and on the cloud

  350. sat one like the son of man having on his head

  351. a golden crown in his hand and a sharp sickle.

  352. So John here referred to him in the revelation

  353. of John actually as the son of man. And we see

  354. Stephen also in Acts 7 verse 56 referring to

    Acts 7:56

  355. him. But majority, about 80 to 90 times, depending

  356. on the translation you have, Jesus calls himself

  357. what? He calls himself the son of man. How important

  358. is this? How important is this revelation to

  359. us? We who will be the ministers. Who are the

  360. ministers rather? Who are the preachers of the

  361. gospel? How important is this revelation to us?

  362. We must see him as what? As a son of God. We

  363. must see him as what? As a son of God. And also

  364. what? A son of man. How is Jesus the son of man?

  365. How is he the son of man? At the same time, the

  366. son of God. Or sometimes we hear this debate.

  367. Why should God have a son? Right? Does he have

  368. a wife? Some of you have gone out for evangelism.

  369. And some of the questions you encounter is how

  370. can God have a wife? What you're saying is that

  371. if he has a son, then he must have a wife. Which

  372. means that what you people are believing is not

  373. true. God cannot have a son. It's impossible

  374. for God to have a son. So we must have better

  375. answers for those caliber of people that we face.

  376. We must have a good reply. As we go out to teach

  377. by the power of the Holy Spirit. It's an important

  378. question that we'll see, especially when we're

  379. dealing with non -believers. Now, this brings

  380. us to the concept of what? Of the Trinity. Alright?

  381. Jesus, the Son of Man. Jesus, the Son of God.

  382. And also the idea of God, the Father, right?

  383. Having a son, and then we see another one added,

  384. the Holy Spirit. And oftentimes, it seems as

  385. though we have three different gods. Amen? And

  386. if we confront the world, This is some of the

  387. things that we'll confront. The humanity of Jesus.

  388. Alright? If you say he is God, then he is not

  389. a man. Then you've made him not to be a man.

  390. But he was born somewhere in Bethlehem. So how

  391. can you see that an Israelite, that we know his

  392. father, we know his mother, we know history has

  393. proved that He was on the face of the earth.

  394. How can you say he is God? There is no way in

  395. scriptures, unequivocally, the word they use,

  396. that Jesus has said that he is the son of God.

  397. So how are we claiming that he is the son of

  398. God? And to add it to the confusion, even some

  399. denominations in court, they say that he is a

  400. what? He is a God. Of course, we can't call them

  401. Christians. See, the fundamentals of the faith

  402. must be understood by all of us here. Are we

  403. together? Don't say, oh, you know, let me tell

  404. you how they used to teach us this. When they

  405. reached this place, they would tell us, you know,

  406. it's a mystery we cannot understand. When they

  407. mystify it, it's because they don't know how

  408. to explain it. Alright? So I want you not to

  409. just go out and say it's a mystery. Mystery is

  410. something that has explanation in scriptures.

  411. Are we together? Mystery, we'll see later, is

  412. to unbelievers. But to us who are in Christ,

  413. there is an explanation for everything in scripture.

  414. God always wants to reveal himself to us. Are

  415. we together? So you must know who God is. And

  416. the way he reveals himself to us is through the

  417. revelation of scripture. Hallelujah. So how about

  418. the idea of Trinity? God the Father. God the

  419. Son. God the Holy Spirit. Now it's important

  420. for us to note that, you know, as Pastor Victor

  421. said, there are others that pretend to be Christians.

  422. They are not Christians, of course. We know it's

  423. pretense. They deny that Jesus is God. They hold

  424. that Jesus is just one of the prophets. And some

  425. will debate that there are no... unequivocal

  426. text in the Bible in which Jesus calls himself

  427. God. Meaning that there's no text in which Jesus

  428. comes and says, I am God. Worship me. Some of

  429. you have looked at some debates. Show me from

  430. the Bible where Jesus calls himself God. And

  431. that's one of the debates the Muslims always

  432. hold. They will tell you, show me in the Bible

  433. in red letter words where Jesus calls himself

  434. God. And then you'll be downfounded. How can

  435. I tell this one now that Jesus is God? So I'm

  436. all on the idea that what? That we Christians

  437. worship three different gods. We worship God

  438. the Father. We worship God the Son. And we also

  439. worship what? God the Holy Spirit. And to add

  440. it even, to make it even worse, some Christians

  441. believe that right now, you know, once upon a

  442. time, God was in church. Right? Then God handed

  443. over the world to Jesus Christ, and Jesus was

  444. in church. Now, Jesus has handed it over to the

  445. Holy Spirit, so the Holy Spirit is the one that

  446. is in church now. And some people have said,

  447. I've heard this from a very respectable man,

  448. man of God. He says, And I tried to think about

  449. it. It says that you can have a relationship

  450. with Jesus alone. Alright? And have a relationship

  451. with the Holy Spirit alone. And have a relationship

  452. with God the Father alone. And I was wondering,

  453. how is it possible? When you pray, you can pray

  454. to God. You can pray to the Holy Spirit. You

  455. can pray to Jesus. And nowadays, they added,

  456. you can pray to somebody that will talk to Jesus

  457. for us. You know what I'm saying? The mother

  458. of Jesus and some of the saints of old, they

  459. added them as part of the, it's no longer trinity.

  460. It's a system. It's a chain of command. Now,

  461. it's essential that to note that in the Bible,

  462. there's no word. We always tell you this. Even

  463. when we're talking about the issue of rapture,

  464. we started teaching you about rapture in the

  465. sermon. We said in the Bible, there's no word.

  466. You will not see the word rapture. It's a coin

  467. word, right? But we'll have an idea of what it

  468. means. But also, in the Bible, You will not see

  469. the word Trinity in the Bible. Okay? You will

  470. not see the word Trinity in the Bible. But it

  471. does not mean that it does not exist. It is a

  472. coin term to describe God the Father, the Son,

  473. and the Holy Spirit as expressed in the Scripture,

  474. throughout the Scripture. So, The first thing

  475. that I want us to establish, first and foremost,

  476. concerning this idea of God the Father, God the

  477. Son, God the Holy Spirit, is that God is what?

  478. God is one. Amen? God is what? God is what? God

  479. is one. We worship what? We worship one God.

  480. Deuteronomy chapter 6 verse 4. We worship one

    Deuteronomy 6:4

  481. God. Hear O Israel. The Lord our God is what?

  482. Is one. Alright. So we don't worship three gods.

  483. But we worship what? We worship one God. Then

  484. the question is how comes Jesus is God? At the

  485. same time, the Holy Spirit is equally God. How

  486. do we explain this mystery in court? How do we

  487. explain this mystery? This one God exists in

  488. three persons. This one God as seen in Deuteronomy

    Deuteronomy 6:4

  489. chapter 6 verse 4 as explained by Moses and consistently

  490. by the prophets. exists in what? In three persons.

  491. God the Father is God. God the Son is also God.

  492. And God the Holy Spirit is also God. Now, this

  493. concept about the triune nature of God can only,

  494. if you're sleeping, please wake up. If your neighbor

  495. is sleeping, wake up. This triune nature of God

  496. can only be explained through the context of

  497. God's redemption work. Outside this, it will

  498. be difficult for you to explain this. I've heard

  499. people say, you know, think of water. They try

  500. to use science to explain the trinity. Think

  501. of water. Water can exist in what? Different

  502. forms and different shapes. Water can exist in

  503. liquid form. Water can exist in what? In solid

  504. form, ice, right? Water can exist in what? Gaseous

  505. form, vapor. All is water. So the water can evaporate

  506. when there's heat, can solidify when the temperature

  507. is what? It's minus something degrees. So they

  508. try to use this scientific method to explain.

  509. If I begin to, if I go to the lab, if water,

  510. let me ask this question. Let's just do some

  511. little chemistry. If water, right, you have water

  512. in a cup. And then it solidifies, right? Or let's

  513. start with liquid form, right? And then it evaporates.

  514. Will you still have the same quantity in your

  515. possession? Assuming that in the lab, you are

  516. putting shit and then let it evaporate. And then

  517. you condense it, right? And then you solidify

  518. it by freezing it. Will you still have the same

  519. water? So if you go scientifically, can we really

  520. explain the Trinity and say it's the same? Same

  521. quantity? Same properties? Of course. Not what?

  522. I'm not a chemist. Help me, chemist. He said

  523. not the same properties. So this is limited in

  524. explaining what? You see, people are beginning

  525. to draw a water cycle now. It's limited in explaining

  526. the Trinity. Hallelujah. So you cannot go with

  527. this knowledge to a scientist, seasoned scientist,

  528. not the quack ones we have around, seasoned scientist,

  529. not the ones that Google and use Chagibit. To

  530. explain God, it will be not efficient to explain

  531. God. So, We cannot explain God outside the way

  532. scriptures has presented God. That's what I want

  533. to say. Are we together? And it is in the context

  534. of his redemptive work. This concept can be best

  535. understood in the context of God's redemptive

  536. work for humanity. Alright? It is in the context

  537. of God's redemption walk that we can best see

  538. the expression of God as the Father, the Son,

  539. and the Holy Spirit. All walking as one. Because

  540. God is one. Now in Romans chapter 6 verse 23

    Romans 6:23

  541. says that the wages of sin is what? Is death.

  542. The wages of sin is death. Sin is found in man.

  543. But man becomes helpless in saving himself. Isn't

  544. it? Only God can deal with the issue of man's

  545. sin. God has to become a man so that he can die

  546. for the forgiveness of the sins of man. Because

  547. no man can save himself from sin. No human effort

  548. can deliver man. The problem of sin is not a

  549. problem that man can resolve by himself. The

  550. condition that sin has brought to man is not

  551. a condition that a man, I mean without God, right?

  552. Man without God can restore. It's only God that

  553. can restore that. Amen? And there is legality

  554. around the idea because the wages of sin is what?

  555. Is death. The penalty of sin is what? Is death.

  556. So sin must be dealt with by law. Sin must be

  557. atoned. Sin must be paid in full so that man

  558. can be restored back to what? To God. Man can

  559. be redeemed to God. Man can be restored to God.

  560. Only God can do that by himself. And the only

  561. way that can be done is when there is a what?

  562. A death. Because the capital punishment for sin

  563. is what? Is death. Amen? It's not like our governments

  564. of today where the governor can just wake up

  565. one day and say, okay, I choose to, I'm happy,

  566. I just woke up on the right side of the bed,

  567. I choose to cancel death penalty and release

  568. these prisoners. No. In God's justice system,

  569. the wages of sin is what? Is death. Someone sin,

  570. right? Someone must die. That is God's judgment.

  571. That is God's legal, that is God's justice system.

  572. So, since this man is now helpless, no one can

  573. save man. Then God decided to do what? To become

  574. man. Amen? God decided to save man by what? By

  575. becoming man. Because only God can deal with

  576. the issue of man's sin. God has to become a man

  577. so that he can die for the forgiveness of the

  578. sin of man. Because God is a spirit. Amen? God

  579. is spirit. And we know that spirit cannot die.

  580. Alright? So, don't pray that demons should die.

  581. They will not die. They don't die. Jesus did

  582. not ask you to kill spirits. He said you should

  583. cast them out. So spirits are eternal. Demons

  584. are eternal. They are eternal beings. They don't

  585. die. They don't have physical body like you and

  586. me. Are we together? So we do what? We cast them

  587. out. God is spirit. God cannot die. So the only

  588. way by which God can fulfill the demands of the

  589. law is by becoming a man and then dying. Then

  590. he paid for the sin that man has committed. And

  591. fulfilling that load, what the Lord demands,

  592. gives legality for man to have a relationship

  593. with God. For man to be redeemed because redemption

  594. has a price and the price is life. Hallelujah.

  595. So a man Must die because of sin. But since spirit

  596. cannot die. God has to take on the form of man.

  597. To fulfill the legal requirement for sin. So

  598. in the four gospels. We will see God almighty.

  599. God almighty. Becoming a man through the process.

  600. The process of what? The process of incarnation.

  601. Incarnation means the divine taking over humanity.

  602. Amen. So, we cannot say Jesus was what? Was born,

  603. right? Because he existed before even Mary. By

  604. revelation, we will see what? We will see his

  605. appearance in the flesh. Amen? We will see his

  606. appearance in the flesh. What we call the incarnation.

  607. Becoming a man. And he used Mary as a legal entry

  608. into the earth. Okay? So Mary becomes a legal

  609. entry. A point of entry into the earth. So when

  610. he was born in human flesh he grew up as a normal

  611. human because when you decide to say that he

  612. was not a normal human being then the requirements

  613. of the law have not been met. So Jesus Christ

  614. grew up as a normal human being, just like you

  615. and I. Having similar limitations like men. What

  616. are the limitations? A man is limited by what?

  617. By time. Alright? You don't have 24 hours. So

  618. he was under 24 hours as we are. He was limited

  619. by what? By distance. He cannot be in Nigeria

  620. and be in Israel at the same time. So he was

  621. limited by space and distance. While he was on

  622. earth, he was even limited by knowledge. That

  623. is why he had to learn the scriptures himself.

  624. Amen? He grew in what? In wisdom. Luke 2 .52.

  625. The Bible will say he grew in what? In wisdom.

  626. He grew in stature and in favor with God and

  627. with men. He grew in wisdom. Wisdom simply means

  628. that he grew in education. We see oftentimes

  629. Jesus in the temple learning scriptures, right?

  630. Learning scriptures, asking questions and answering

  631. questions. Let's look at Luke 52. So he was just

  632. a normal child. circumcised like any other Jewish

  633. kid, presented at a temple like any other Jewish

  634. kid. Verse 41, chapter 2, verse 41, Luke 2, verse

    Luke 2:41

  635. 41. His parents went to Jerusalem every year

  636. at the feast of the Passover. And when he was

  637. 12 years old, they went up to Jerusalem according

  638. to the custom of the feast. When they had finished

  639. the days as they returned, the boy Jesus lingered

  640. behind in Jerusalem. And Joseph and his mother

  641. did not know it. But supposing him to have been

  642. in the company, they went a day's journey. And

  643. sought him among their relatives and acquaintances.

  644. So when they did not find him. They returned

  645. to Jerusalem seeking him. Now it was that after

  646. three days. They found him in the temple. What

  647. was he doing in the temple? Sitting where? In

  648. the midst of what? Of the teachers. Doing what?

  649. Listening. Both listening to them. And what?

  650. And asking questions. Jesus was not only listening.

  651. He was listening and taking notes. And then he

  652. was asking questions. Why was he asking questions?

  653. At this point, to know. Hallelujah. To know.

  654. So when they saw him, they were amazed. No, verse

  655. 47. And all who heard him were astonished. At

  656. his understanding. And answers. He was a smart

  657. kid. So when they saw him. They were amazed.

  658. And his mother said to him. Son. Why have you

  659. done this to us? Look. Your father and I have

  660. sought out. I have sought you anxiously. And

  661. he said to them. Why did you seek me? Did you

  662. not know? That I must be. About my father's business.

  663. But they did not understand. The statement which

  664. he spoke to them. Then he went down with them.

  665. Came to Nazareth. And was subject to them. That

  666. means that he was. Under their authority. His

  667. father and his mother. And all this. And then

  668. his mother. Kept all these things in her heart.

  669. And then we see Jesus Christ increase in wisdom,

  670. in stature, and in favor with God and with men.

  671. And let's even see in Mark chapter 6 where he

    Mark 6 chapter mention

  672. has other siblings. Mark chapter 6 verse 1 to

    Mark 6:1–6

  673. 6. Then he went out from there and came to his

  674. own country and his disciples followed him. And

  675. when the Sabbath had come, he began to teach

  676. in the synagogue. This is when he started ministry.

  677. Many hearing him were astonished, saying, where

  678. did this man get these things? And what wisdom

  679. is this which is given to him that such mighty

  680. works are performed by his hands? Is this not

  681. the carpenter, which means that he had a normal

  682. job? Huh? His father was a carpenter. He didn't

  683. come down from heaven with a divine carpentry

  684. skills. We can trace it to his father. Alright?

  685. Which means that he learned how to work with

  686. his hands. Is this not the carpenter? The son

  687. of Mary and brother of who? James, Jesus has

  688. siblings. James, Joseph, Judas, not Iscariot.

  689. And Simon, of course, not Simon Peter. And not

  690. his sisters here, which means that he has sisters

  691. too. His sisters here with us. So they were offended

  692. because they know him naturally. Right? They

  693. know him. They know he can trace his family.

  694. He can trace his siblings. They can trace his

  695. origin, his human origin. Verse 4. But Jesus

  696. said to them, a prophet is not without honor

  697. except in his own country, among his own relatives

  698. and his own house. Of course, these words were

  699. predicted in the Old Testament. So, while on

  700. earth, Jesus lived a perfect life without sin.

  701. So in our expression, in our understanding of

  702. his humanity, we will see that Jesus Christ was

  703. a man. A complete man. We are trying to prove

  704. that he was a man. All we've done is that we've

  705. proved his humanity. Okay? We've proved his humanity.

  706. But then in his humanity, He lived a perfect

  707. life without sin. Alright? So in his humanity,

  708. we must always put this as an important note

  709. that he lived a perfect life without sin. Hebrews

    Hebrews 4:15

  710. chapter 4 verse 15 gives us this word. Hebrews

    Hebrews 4:15

  711. 4 verse 15. For we do not have a high priest

  712. who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses. How

  713. can he sympathize with our weaknesses? That means

  714. that he must have associated himself with us.

  715. That means that he must have come to our level

  716. and understand our humanity. He identifies with

  717. us in his humanity. And him identifying with

  718. us in his humanity, gives us the legal ground

  719. to identify with him in his resurrection. Amen?

  720. So, we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize

  721. with our weaknesses, but as in all points, tempted.

  722. Of course, we can see his temptation. When he

  723. was tempted by the serpent. At all points he

  724. was tempted. As we are. Yet. Without what? Without

  725. sin. So Jesus in his humanity. Did not sin. Amen.

  726. He did not sin. He did not sin. He was sinless.

  727. Because it takes. A perfect man. To die for our

  728. sins. He was sinless. 1 Peter chapter 2 verse

    1 Peter 2:22

  729. 22. 1 Peter 2 verse 22. It says who committed

    1 Peter 2:22

  730. no sin. No was deceit found in his mouth. Peter

  731. here. Was making reference. To the prophecies

  732. about Jesus Christ. Say who when he was reviled.

  733. That means that when they spoke. Evil against

  734. him. Right. Some of us. Our ear does not want

  735. to hear any evil. Communication about us. We

  736. have a reputation to keep. But look at him. Who

  737. when he was reviled. Did not revile in return.

  738. When he suffered, he did not threaten. He did

  739. not threaten them with police. He did not threaten

  740. them with legal actions. He didn't threaten them

  741. with calling down fire or cutting the ear off.

  742. As we see in Peter, he was not violent in nature,

  743. but committed himself to him who judges righteously.

  744. Who himself bore our sins in his own body on

  745. the tree that we haven't died to sins might live

  746. for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed.

  747. So he was perfect. 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse

    2 Corinthians 5:21

  748. 21. 2 Corinthians 5 verse 21. For he met him

    2 Corinthians 5:21

  749. who know no sin. Who is this person who knows

  750. no sin? Jesus Christ. He has no association with

  751. sin. So in explaining his humanity, we must trace

  752. the idea of his perfection. Because he is not

  753. a sinner. He has never sinned. For he made him

  754. who knew no sin to be sin for us. Because in

  755. the mind of the ungodly, If he said Jesus or

  756. God became man, what you are saying is that man,

  757. that God sinned. Amen? So we must be able to

  758. what? Defend the character as scripture has expressed.

  759. He knew no sin. He knew no sins. Give me the

  760. text again. 521, 2 Corinthians 521. For he met

  761. him who knew no sin to be what? To be sin. So

  762. Jesus did not commit sin, but he became sin for

  763. us. How did he become sin for us? Because our

  764. transgressions were placed upon him. Alright?

  765. Our sin as that of a lamb, alright, were placed

  766. upon him. In the sacrifices that Moses instituted,

  767. we will see that a lamb will be brought and then

  768. they will put their hand on their head and they

  769. will confess all the sins of the people on the

  770. lamb. And they will do what? And they either

  771. kill it or they release it into the wilderness

  772. to go and die. Pointing to Jesus Christ, taking

  773. away the sin of the people into the wilderness,

  774. into where? you know, to go and then die. So

  775. he knew no sin. He was a perfect being. But in

  776. his perfection, he took our sins, he became sin.

  777. That we might become what? That we might become

  778. righteous. The righteousness of God in who? In

  779. Christ. We have now become, we are not just righteous,

  780. but we are what? We are actually we display the

  781. righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. 1 John

    1 John 3:5

  782. 3 verse 5. 1 John 3 verse 5. And you know that

    1 John 3:5

  783. he was manifested to take away our sins. And

  784. in him, what? There is no sin. In who? In Jesus

  785. Christ, there is no sin. So, when we say that

  786. Jesus is God becoming man, we are not saying

  787. that he sinned like any other man. No. In his

  788. humanity, sin was not found in him. Amen? Even

  789. the priest in the old... sacrifices we will see

  790. before he goes to offer an offering. First of

  791. all, he said that he offers an offering for himself,

  792. right? He has to deal with his own sin first.

  793. In fact, that is what makes his own sacrifice

  794. and his own work not a permanent one. Because

  795. he has to deal with his own sin because the high

  796. priest has his own sins too. He has to offer

  797. and purify himself. So that he can go into the

  798. holies of holies and now what? Make atonement

  799. for the people. And even in entering the holies

  800. of holies, because of his imperfection, in case

  801. he goes in there and his imperfection displays

  802. and then something happens that he dies in there,

  803. they tie a rope. Right? They tie a rope at his

  804. back. So the high priest enters the holiest of

  805. holies with a rope in case he makes a mistake

  806. and then he falls down there and dies. Nobody

  807. can enter there. Only the high priest. What will

  808. they do? They will drag his dead body out because

  809. he is not a perfect being. But we see a high

  810. priest that is perfect in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.

  811. Who qualifies? to enter the holies of holies

  812. and make atonement for us. We see a man in Jesus

  813. Christ who embodies the perfection of God that

  814. has the ability to redeem us completely. Not

  815. like the one in the Old Testament sacrifices

  816. where it is not a permanent one. Amen? So we

  817. see in the works of Christ a permanent redemption.

  818. A permanent atonement for the sins of men because

  819. he is a perfect man. Amen? He is a perfect man.

  820. Hallelujah. Glory to Jesus. So John gives us

  821. an eyewitness account of this in Ephesians chapter

    Ephesians 1 chapter mention

  822. 1. Even though, yes, he's giving us an eye -account

  823. witness, but it's mixed with revelation. Amen?

  824. John chapter 1, verse 1. Are we blessed? Yes,

    John 1:1

  825. this is how men are made. Hallelujah. When you

  826. begin to feel tired, that's when the journey

  827. gets tougher. That's when you are stretched.

  828. Hallelujah. So, just know that this is a normal

  829. way men are raised. Like soldiers, and they come

  830. training. The training is not easy. But we know

  831. that in the end, there is a result that will

  832. come out, right? Men that are gallant. Men that

  833. are sophisticated. Men that are equipped to face

  834. the war front. Hallelujah. So, endure. Endure.

  835. Don't give up. Don't say, ah, I'm tired. So,

  836. I'll listen to the tape. No, listen now. We are

  837. here. Alright? You know, we are not used to sitting

  838. long. So I trust that God will help us that we'll

  839. have the discipline of staying long in the world

  840. so that our hearts will be transformed. Hallelujah.

  841. John chapter 1, verse 1. We see John giving us

    John 1:1

  842. an account of what? Of this God becoming a man.

  843. Of this God becoming a man. In the beginning.

  844. Was the word. And the word was with God. And

  845. the word was God. So Johnny here. Is explaining

  846. to us. The divine. Nature of Jesus Christ. He

  847. was in the beginning with God. All things were

  848. made through him. The creation. And without him

  849. nothing was made that was made. In him was life

  850. and the life was a light of men. That's Genesis

  851. 1. And the light shines in the darkness and the

  852. darkness did not comprehend it. There was a man

  853. sent from God whose name was who? was John. So

  854. John was writing and then mentioning John the

  855. Baptist. He's not talking about himself here.

  856. He's talking about John the Baptist. There was

  857. a man and this man is who? You know, John the

  858. beloved. He enjoys, he has a way of writing good

  859. report about himself in his writings. If it was

  860. him, he would have said that it is him here.

  861. So it was very peculiar about who is here. We'll

  862. see it later. This man came for a witness, to

  863. bear witness of the light that all through him

  864. might believe. He was not the light, that light.

  865. Remember, he denied that he was not the Christ,

  866. right? But he was the one crying in the wilderness.

  867. So he was not that light but was sent to bear

  868. witness of that light. That was the true light

  869. which gives light to every man coming into the

  870. world. He was in the world and the world was

  871. made through him and the world did not know him.

  872. He came to his own, that is the people of Israel,

  873. and his own did not receive him. But as many

  874. as received him, some Jewish people inclusive,

  875. to them he gave the right to become what? The

  876. children of God to those who believe in his name.

  877. Who are born not of blood, Nor of the will of

  878. the flesh. Nor of the will of man. But of God.

  879. Then he went further to say. And the word. Which

  880. was in the beginning. Became what? Became flesh.

  881. And dwelled among us. And we beheld his glory.

  882. The glory as of the only begotten of the father.

  883. Full of grace and truth. John bore witness of

  884. him. And cried out saying. This was he of whom

  885. I said. He who comes after me. Is preferred before

  886. me. For he was before me. And of his fullness.

  887. We have all received. Grace for grace. For the

  888. law was given through Moses, but grace and truth

  889. came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God

  890. at any time. The only begotten son who is in

  891. the bosom, who is in the bosom of the father,

  892. he has declared him. Hallelujah. So the word

  893. bosom shows the union of the father and the son.

  894. From the beginning. The father and the son is

  895. one in union. One. Hallelujah. The father and

  896. the son is one. Then we see in redemption Jesus

  897. what? Coming in the form of man to do what? Die

  898. for our sins. Hallelujah. So In Jesus Christ

  899. dwells the fullness of God bodily, the Godhead

  900. bodily. When he was on earth, he carries God.

  901. God is in him, he is in God. There is a union

  902. of God, the Father, and the Son. Colossians 2

    Colossians 2:9

  903. verse 9. Colossians chapter 2 verse 9. For in

    Colossians 2:9

  904. him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead. How?

  905. Bodily, right? Bodily. God dwells in Christ bodily.

  906. Hallelujah. So Paul will call this a mystery.

  907. Okay? Paul will call this a mystery. 1 Timothy

  908. 3 .16 And without controversy, great is what?

  909. The mystery of godliness. And he explained the

  910. mystery. God was manifested in what? In the flesh.

  911. Justified in the spirit. Seen by angels. Preached

  912. among gentiles. Believed on in the world. And

  913. received up in glory. Hallelujah. So his humanity

  914. gave him the legal ground. To do the work of

  915. redemption. Amen. His humanity. Gave him the

  916. legal ground. To do the work of redemption. So

  917. Jesus Christ while on earth. Who called God the

  918. father. Called God father. He called God as a

  919. father. Over 165 times. In the gospels. Let's

  920. see some of the examples. Matthew 7 verse 21.

    Matthew 7:21

  921. Not everyone who says to me. Lord, Lord shall

  922. enter the kingdom of heaven. But he who does

  923. the will of my father. My father in heaven. My

  924. father in heaven. 11 verse 27. 11 verse 27. We

  925. see where Jesus called God father. And the word

  926. father is what? Source. Amen? The word father

  927. means source. Where he is from. Source. All things

  928. have been delivered to me by my father. And no

  929. one knows his son except the father. Nor does

  930. anyone know the Father except the Son. And the

  931. one whom the Son wills to reveal him. So there's

  932. a relationship, intricate relationship between

  933. the Father and the Son. So there's no separation.

  934. What we're trying to do is to show to you that

  935. there's no separation between the Father and

  936. the Son. Amen? When he was praying at Gethsemane,

  937. Matthew 26, 39. Matthew 26, 39. He went a little

  938. further and fell on his face and prayed saying,

  939. oh my father, if this, if it is possible, let

  940. this cup pass away from me. Nevertheless, not

  941. as I will, but you. Nevertheless, not as I will,

  942. but as you will. He called him father. John chapter

    John 5:17

  943. 5, verse 17. John 5, 17. Jesus calling God father.

  944. But Jesus answered them, my father has been walking

  945. until now and I have been walking. The father

  946. has been walking. Jesus has been walking. So

  947. where has the father been walking? The father

  948. has been walking through Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.

  949. Let's look at verse 18. You see? So the Jews

  950. understood what he said. And what did they do?

  951. They sought all the more to kill him because

  952. he not only broke the Sabbath, but also said

  953. that God was his father, making himself what?

  954. Equal. So they understood the meaning of what

  955. he was saying. So they sought to kill him because

  956. it is blasphemy. For them, for you to equate

  957. yourself with God. This is blasphemy. That was

  958. why Stephen died. Right? He called God his father.

  959. Blasphemy. John 10, verse 30. John 10, verse

    John 10:30 John 10:30

  960. 30. It's enormous evidence. We have to see. John

    John 10:30

  961. 10, verse 30. I and my father are one. There's

  962. no separation. There's a union of the father

  963. and the son. I and my father are one. John 14,

  964. 6 and 7. John 14, 6 and 7. Jesus said to him,

  965. I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one

  966. comes to the father except through me. Verse

  967. 7. If you had known me, you would have known

  968. my father also. And from now on you know him

  969. and have seen him. And from now on you know him

  970. and have seen him. How did you know him? And

  971. how have you seen him? Because you've seen me.

  972. Because I and the father are one. Amen? So. Jesus

  973. is an express image of the Father on earth. John

  974. 14. Let's read further. Let's read further down

  975. to 11. Philip said to him, Lord, show us the

  976. Father. And he's okay for us. This long grammar.

  977. Just show us the father and we are okay. Jesus

  978. said to him, have I been with you so long and

  979. yet you have not known me, Philip? He who has

  980. seen me, has what? Has seen the father. So how

  981. can you say, show us the father? Do you not believe

  982. that I am in the father and the father in me?

  983. The word that I speak to you, I do not speak

  984. on my own authority, but the Father who dwells

  985. in me does the works. So, the idea of Jesus being

  986. God is what must be believed. Amen? Believe me

  987. that I am in the Father and the Father in me.

  988. Or else, believe me, for the sake of the works

  989. themselves. John 17, verse 1. The priestly prayer,

    John 17:1

  990. the Lord's prayer. John 17, verse 1. Jesus spoke

    John 17:1

  991. these words, lifted up his eyes to heaven and

  992. said, Father, the hour has come. Glorify your

  993. son. And your son may glorify you. Union between

  994. God and God the son. Hallelujah. God the father

  995. and God the son. An intricate relationship. A

  996. union. So we can see that God the father and

  997. God the son together. Walking. Alright. We also

  998. see in scriptures where The three walk together

  999. as one. We see Jesus Christ speaking about the

1000. Holy Spirit in John chapter 14, verse 16. So,

    John 14:16

1001. we see his relationship with the Father, right?

1002. One. And we see the Holy Spirit also. Let's look

1003. at John chapter 14, verse 16. Remember the context

    John 14:16

1004. we are looking at is what? Is the context of

1005. what? Redemption. You cannot explain this. Outside

1006. redemption. Jesus has to become man. Why? Because

1007. of sin. Primarily. That he will die. Right? And

1008. that sin should be forgiven. Alright? What is

1009. the result of the redemption? The result of the

1010. redemption. That proves that we are forgiven.

1011. Is what? Is the Holy Spirit. Where? In us. So,

1012. Jesus will promise the Holy Spirit. John 14,

1013. 16, 17. And I will pray the Father and he will

1014. give you another helper. Of course, Pastor, he

1015. has explained this for us recently about this

1016. helper. Right? And his teaching, he says, is

1017. of the same kind. Right? Same. That he may abide

1018. with you forever. The spirit of truth. Whom the

1019. world cannot receive. Because. It neither sees

1020. him. Nor knows him. But you know him. For he

1021. dwells where? With you. Himself. And will be

1022. where? In you. The Holy Ghost. Verse 26. Jump

1023. to verse 26. But the helper, the Holy Spirit,

1024. whom the Father will send in my name, he will

1025. what? He will be sent in whose name? In my name.

1026. What is his name? Huh? His accomplishment, right?

1027. His death, his burial and resurrection. He will

1028. teach you all things and bring to your remembrance.

1029. All the things I have said to you. So the father

1030. with his son walking together in the redemption

1031. of man. In the redemption. In the redemption.

  1032. John 15, 26. John 15, 26. But when the helper

1033. comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father.

1034. Where is the Spirit coming from? Where is Jesus

1035. from? From the Father. Where is the Spirit coming

1036. from? Alright? One. Oneness. Union. Integrally.

1037. Together. There is no division. But when the

1038. helper comes, whom I shall send to you, what

1039. will be the product of his? What will be the

1040. condition for his coming? We've done this in

1041. cell meeting. What is the condition for his coming?

1042. Jesus what? Jesus going. Of course, he has to

1043. die first and rise up from the dead. Then he

1044. go. As long as he's on earth, the Holy Spirit

1045. will not come. Alright? So it was necessary that

1046. he goes. So he says, but when the helper comes,

1047. whom I shall send to you from the Father, Not

1048. from anywhere else. From the same source. From

1049. where I came from. From the father. The spirit

1050. of truth. Who proceeds from where? From the father.

1051. He will testify of who? What is the testimony

1052. of the spirit? Jesus. Amen. The testimony of

1053. the spirit is what? Is Jesus. He will testify

1054. of me. John 16 verse 7. Nevertheless, I tell

    John 16:7

1055. you the truth. It is to your advantage that I

1056. go away. It is in your own good that I go away.

1057. For if I do not go away, the helper will not

1058. come to you. But if I depart, I will send him

1059. to you. Jesus had to go because Jesus cannot

1060. dwell in their hearts physically. Amen? Jesus,

1061. because of his physical appearance, cannot dwell

1062. in the hearts of everybody. But once he is gone,

1063. the spirit can dwell all men. Hallelujah. So

1064. it was important that he goes. That's it. And

1065. when he has come, he will convict the world of

1066. sin and of righteousness and judgment. Let's

1067. go back to verse 13. Let's look at verse 13 and

  1068. 14. Let's go back to verse 13 and 14. Yeah, I

1069. mean further rather. However, when he, the spirit

1070. of truth has come, he will do what? He will guide

1071. you into all the truth. For he will not speak

1072. on his own authority. Jesus says that the works

1073. I do, right? Or the things I say, the teachings,

1074. I don't do them on my own authority. But who

1075. does them in me? The Father. Alright? Now, when

1076. the Spirit comes, you see the relationship? The

1077. spirit of truth has come. He will guide you into

1078. all truth. For he will not speak on his own accord.

1079. On his own authority. But whatever he hears.

1080. He will what? He will speak. And he will tell

1081. you things to come. He will glorify who? He will

1082. glorify me. For he will take of what is mine.

1083. And declare to you. Hallelujah. So the Holy Spirit

1084. working together with Jesus, working together

1085. with God the Father for one purpose. And what

1086. is the purpose? Redemption of man. Amen? Redemption

1087. of man. Redemption of man. There are some scriptures,

1088. as I said earlier on, where we see Jesus It's

1089. in the picture. God the Father in the picture.

1090. The Holy Spirit in the picture. Confirming what

1091. Jesus is doing. Let's look at one. Matthew 3,

  1092. 16 -17. Matthew 3, 16 -17. When he had been baptized,

1093. Jesus came up immediately from the water and

1094. behold, amen, the heavens were opened, were opened

1095. to him. And he saw the spirit of God descending,

1096. that is John, right? Descending like a dove and

1097. alighting, alighting upon him. So we see Jesus

1098. in the picture, right? And we see the spirit.

1099. And suddenly. A voice from heaven. Whose voice?

1100. Saying. This is my what? My beloved son. In whom

1101. I am well pleased. So we see the father. We see

1102. the son. We see the spirit. For one purpose.

1103. Redemption of man. Amen. Redemption of. And let's

1104. look at the last one. 14. Chapter 14. John 14,

1105. 16, 17. We saw it earlier on. Let's look at it

1106. again. John 14, 16, 17. You will see where the

1107. spirit. And I will pray the father. Right? Where

1108. will the spirit come from? He will pray who?

1109. He will pray the father. Right? And he will give

1110. you another helper that he may abide with you

1111. forever. So Jesus asking from the Father for

1112. who? For the Spirit. Amen? For what purpose?

1113. For our sake. Hallelujah. For our sake. So outside

1114. the context of the redemption, it becomes difficult

1115. to understand. Why should God be? In fact, if

1116. there was no redemption, would there be need

1117. for Jesus to come? There would be no need for

1118. Jesus. If not for redemption, would there? Okay,

1119. let's say creation. I mean, we see the spirit

1120. coming because of what? Because of us. Dwelling

1121. because of us. So the revelation of God as the

1122. son, the revelation of God as the spirit, right,

1123. is for our sake. It's for our redemption. And

1124. without redemption, then there will be no need.

1125. There will be no need. So the father, we can

1126. see there is the father in the Godhead. We can

1127. see the son in the Godhead. And also the Holy

1128. Spirit in the Godhead. All working as one. All

1129. working as one. Not doing different work. No.

1130. All working as one. So God the Father creates.

1131. See this in scripture. He creates. Right? And

1132. we see God the Son redeeming after sin. Right?

1133. He redeems. And we see God the Holy Spirit regenerating.

1134. And that is what he's doing now in us. Amen?

1135. Transforming us. Conforming us. Changing us.

1136. Making us. Today, God the Father, this is very

1137. important as we close this session. God the Father,

1138. God the Son, live in the person who believes.

1139. Is it true? God the Father, God the Son, God

1140. the Holy Spirit does what? Lives in the one who

1141. believes through the Holy Spirit. He says, I

1142. will come and make an abode in him. Right? And

1143. when you believe, you become the temple where

1144. the Godhead lives. He dwells in us. Jesus is

1145. in you. He's in me. The Holy Ghost is in you.

1146. He's in me. The Godhead is in you. God the Father

1147. is in you. He's in me. So this is the mystery

1148. explained. And this is what the apostles have

1149. been explaining and writing. And even in the

1150. explanation of marriage, marriage was used to

1151. try to explain this as a union of Christ and

1152. the church. Right? How we have become one. How

1153. we've come into union. How we've become one family.

1154. We are part of this family. Amen? Let's rise

1155. on our feet. Let's rise on our feet. Let's just

1156. appreciate God for this walk that Jesus had to

1157. come. God had to become man for you and for me.

1158. God had to become man for you and for me. Imagine

1159. the hostility he suffered. I'm not just talking

1160. about the abuses. I'm not just talking about

1161. The physical things he suffered. I'm talking

1162. about how he humbled himself and take up the

1163. form of man. Jesus, who is God, taking up the

1164. form of man. That is humility. That is humbling.

1165. So let's just open our mind and just appreciate

1166. God and appreciate God. As we go for break, let

1167. us appreciate God. Appreciate God for the work

1168. we see he has done in Christ Jesus. He has revealed

1169. himself to us through Christ Jesus. Through Jesus

1170. Christ, we see God. We see the plan of God. We

1171. see the will of God. We see the works of God

1172. through what Christ has done. Thank you, Jesus,

1173. that we have the revelation. Of God in Christ

1174. Jesus. That we see Jesus. Dying and. And giving

1175. us a spirit. Living in us. Thank you Father for

1176. this truth. Help us Lord to know more about this.

1177. Help us Lord to walk in this reality. Thank you,

1178. Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. share

1179. it with a friend. Till next time, be blessed.
