  1. Welcome to NECF. We're thrilled you're here.

  2. Make sure to stay with us till the end, where

  3. we'll share some great resources to deepen your

  4. faith. Now, let's dive into this week's sermon.

  5. It's a beautiful morning, and I'm so excited

  6. once again to be in this place. Yesterday was

  7. a great moment for us, and I believe once again

  8. God will continue in what he has been doing in

  9. our midst. You know, we go gradually. The way

  10. God exposes us to his truth is step by step.

  11. Amen. Step by step, gradually. You know, Isaiah

  12. 28. Verse 10. Isaiah 28. Verse 10 says, he tells

  13. us everything. Yes, give me the NLT. Give me

  14. the NLT. I love the way the NLT put it. So he

  15. tells us everything over and over. One line at

  16. a time. One line at a time. A little here and

  17. a little there. See, this is how. You know, truth

  18. is unveiled gradually, little by little, here

  19. and there. And then before we know it, we see

  20. the insight that comes from God's word. So what

  21. I want you to do is that you should be encouraged

  22. to follow every single thing that is done in

  23. this place. All right? Just know that this meeting

  24. is arranged specifically for you. This meeting

  25. is for you, and it's not for anybody. Just have

  26. this kind of mindset that this meeting is for

  27. you. Even if there's nobody here and I'm the

  28. only one here, I'm going to enjoy what God is

  29. doing. God is taking this moment to invest into

  30. my life because he has a plan for my life. So

  31. from what we will be doing and everything that

  32. every other speaker will be coming to lead us,

  33. it is a build -up on every aspect of what God...

  34. We want us to see in this season. So please be

  35. very conscious. And see how it links. See how

  36. it links. See how it's connected. Because step

  37. by step. Little by little. We see the build up

  38. of what God is doing for us. And there is an

  39. admonition. Paul gave to Timothy. In 2 Timothy

    2 Timothy 3 chapter mention

  40. chapter 3. From verse 10. 2 Timothy chapter 3.

    2 Timothy 3 chapter mention

  41. From verse 10. He says but you. You have carefully

  42. followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose,

  43. faith, long -suffering, love, perseverance, persecutions,

  44. afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch,

  45. at Iconium, at Lystra. What persecutions I endured,

  46. and out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yes.

  47. and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus

  48. will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors

  49. will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being

  50. deceived. This is what is happening. But then

  51. for you, that is for us individually here, it

  52. says, but you must continue in the things which

  53. you have learned. and being assured of knowing

  54. from whom you have learned them. How we are learning

  55. in this place will be productive. We'll see the

  56. fruitfulness in your life is when you continue,

  57. that is when you practice what you learn in this

  58. place. So whatever thing that will be coming

  59. to us and coming for us, let our mindset be that

  60. we are looking at how we can apply, where we

  61. can obey. But continue, you must continue in

  62. things which you have learned and been assured

  63. of knowing from whom you have learned them. And

  64. that from childhood, you have known the holy

  65. scriptures. From childhood, from when you were

  66. born again, you've been exposed to God's word,

  67. which are able to make you wise for salvation

  68. through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. All

  69. scripture. That is all scripture is given by

  70. inspiration of God. And it is profitable, meaning

  71. that it is advantageous, meaning that it is useful.

  72. It is important for doctrine. Doctrine here means

  73. teaching. It is important. The scripture is a

  74. material by which we receive instruction for

  75. life. So the scripture. is advantage, is profitable,

  76. is advantageous for doctrine, for reproof, for

  77. correction, for instruction in righteousness.

  78. And this is a goal that the man of God may be

  79. complete, thoroughly equipped by, equipped for

  80. every good work. So the goal is for our equipping.

  81. that we will be made ready for every good work.

  82. So the intention is that God will help us to

  83. be equipped for the work that he has for us.

  84. And moving down to chapter 4, he continued by

  85. saying, I charge you therefore before God and

  86. the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living

  87. and the dead at his appearance. At his kingdom.

  88. Preach the word. Be ready in season and out of

  89. season. Convince, rebuke, exhort. With all longsuffering

  90. and teaching. Verse 3. For time will come when

  91. they will not endure sound doctrine. People will

  92. not be willing to sit for a long time. Enduring

  93. has to do with making yourself to be under the

  94. authority of the word of God. Time is coming

  95. that many will not endure, many will not give

  96. themselves up to the instruction that comes from

  97. God's word. For the time will come when they

  98. will not endure sound doctrine, but according

  99. to their own desires, because they have itching

  100. ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers,

  101. and they will turn their ears away from truth

  102. and be torn aside to fables. But you, Be watchful

  103. in all things. Endure afflictions. Do the work

  104. of an evangelist and fulfill your ministry. Hallelujah.

  105. So what I want to encourage us is to endure every

  106. single thing. It's not easy. Training is not

  107. an easy task. Discipline is not easy. It's not

  108. easy for the body. But when we look at the goal

  109. that it will achieve in our lives, it will motivate

  110. us to do what? To make ourselves readily available

  111. under the instruction of God's word so that we

  112. will be built up. So my desire is that our hearts

  113. will be here, our mind will be here, and our

  114. attention will be fixed on seeing what God will

  115. say. Hallelujah. That we will be fixed, fixated

  116. on seeing. Our desire is to see. what God will

  117. say, and then what we will do from what God will

  118. say. Hallelujah. Now let's get to our scripture,

  119. our key scripture for this conference that we've

  120. been looking at since yesterday. Manifesting

  121. the kingdom of God. Matthew chapter 16. Matthew

Matthew 16 chapter mention Matthew 16 chapter mention

  122. chapter 16. From what's starting. When Jesus

  123. came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, he

  124. asked his disciples, saying, Who do men say that

  125. I, the Son of Man, am? So they said some say

  126. John the Baptist, some Elijah, others Jeremiah,

  127. or one of the prophets. He said to them, But

  128. who do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered

  129. and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the

  130. living God. Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed

  131. are you, Simon Barjona, for flesh and blood has

  132. not revealed this to you, but my Father who is

  133. where? Who is in heaven. And I say to you that

  134. you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build

  135. my church and the gates of Hades shall not prevail

  136. against it. And I will give you the keys of the

  137. kingdom of heaven. And whatever you bind on earth

  138. will be bound in heaven. And whatever you lose

  139. on earth will be loosed in heaven. Hallelujah.

  140. And we're able to go through, you know, the preliminary

  141. verses. We look at the context. And then we say

  142. that, you know, the disciples were sent out by

  143. Jesus Christ to go out and preach the gospel.

  144. And then when they came back, Jesus was asking

  145. them of their reports. Of course, they came back

  146. very joyful, you know, seeing what God has worked

  147. by their hands. They went to preach concerning

  148. the kingdom. They went to proclaim the kingdom.

  149. And then signs and wonders were done by them.

  150. Because Jesus Christ has authorized them, has

  151. given them power, has given them authority. They

  152. cast out devils, they heal, they perform wonderful

  153. miracles, accompanying, you know, the preaching

  154. of the kingdom, preaching of the message of the

  155. kingdom. And we saw from the text we read yesterday

  156. that, you know, there were different accounts.

  157. People have different perception. People have

  158. different, you know. about who Jesus is. And

  159. we established that the idea about who Jesus

  160. Christ is is founded on ignorance, is founded

  161. on unbelief. And we say that for us to be effective

  162. in the work of ministry, it is important that

  163. our theology about Jesus Christ be accurate because

  164. Jesus Christ shifted from what they heard from

  165. the people, from the crowd, to what they themselves.

  166. Say about the Messiah. About the son of man.

  167. About Jesus Christ. Which shows to us the importance

  168. of. Understanding. The importance of understanding.

  169. Who God is. The importance of understanding.

  170. What the message is. And we say that the message

  171. is a person. The message is Jesus Christ. And

  172. it is important for us. To comprehend. To understand.

  173. To know who Jesus is. To have a revelation. We

  174. say revelation of Christ. is crucial, is important,

  175. is vital to doing the work of ministry. And our

  176. preparation is knowing God, having a revelation

  177. of who Jesus is so that we can be able to preach

  178. him accurately. And we see, you know, the instance

  179. where Peter made a proclamation. you know, about

  180. who Jesus is. And we establish also that Peter's

  181. revelation of Jesus Christ was founded on the

  182. writings of the prophets, which means that he

  183. believed on the prophetic writings of, you know,

  184. the scriptures concerning who Jesus is. And this

  185. is what we define as revelation. From this revelation,

  186. you know, He professed or he confessed who Jesus

  187. is. So we're going to continue from verse 18.

  188. From verse 18 of this text. Let me read verse

  189. 17, then I will go down to verse 18. Jesus answered

  190. and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona,

  191. for flesh and blood, which means that this understanding

  192. is not coming from human point of view. Flesh

  193. and blood has not revealed this to you, but my

  194. Father who is in heaven. So what God does to

  195. us is that he opens us to his word. That is what

  196. God does to us, give us revelation. And the revelation

  197. which God will give us is in the word of God,

  198. is in the scriptures. And I also say to you that

  199. you are Peter. And on this rock, I will build

  200. my church. And the gates of Hades shall not prevail

  201. against it. On this rock, verse 18. And I also

  202. say to you that you are Peter. And on this rock,

  203. I will build my church. And the gates of Hades

  204. shall not prevail against it. If you are an intelligent

  205. reader of the text. I think a question should

  206. rise in your heart. What is this rock? Because,

  207. you know, Jesus Christ was not talking about,

  208. was not teaching about the types of rocks. Right?

  209. The conversation in this text is not geology

  210. or geography or construction. In a way, they

  211. are building a house, so Jesus is explaining

  212. construction, engineering, or whatever. Where

  213. will Jesus, or what will Jesus mean by the rock?

  214. The rock. What did Jesus mean when he said this

  215. rock? Was he pointing at a rock? Was he pointing

  216. at a rock? When he said this rock, was there

  217. a rock there that Jesus pointed at? What is this

  218. rock? So it is important. Jesus is not speaking

  219. out of point. Amen. He's not just, you know,

  220. he's talking, he's on a conversation and then

  221. lo and behold, he switches to another entirely

  222. not. This consistency in what Jesus is saying

  223. and it's left for us to investigate, to understand

  224. what is this rock that Jesus is explaining? What

  225. is the implication of the rock that Jesus? He's

  226. explaining. And that is what I trust God will

  227. help us to see and to establish as we go through

  228. what we'll be doing today. Hallelujah. So, what

  229. is this rock? What is the church that Jesus is

  230. referring to? What is the church which Jesus

  231. is referring to in this particular verse? Now,

  232. the Roman Catholic Church, you know what the

  233. Roman Catholic Church is? The global Roman Catholic

  234. Church holds the assertion that the Apostle Peter

  235. is the rock. Not only them, but some, of course,

  236. some scholars also, you know, hold the assertion

  237. that the Apostle Peter is a rock upon which the

  238. church is built. Because if you look at the verse,

  239. it seems that that's what he's saying. And I

  240. also say to you that you are Peter. And on this

  241. rock, I will build my church and the gates of

  242. Hades shall not prevail against it. Of course,

  243. we know that there's no scripture that is of

  244. private interpretation. If we must interpret

  245. this text as Jesus is referring to Peter as the

  246. rock, then we should be able to find collaborative

  247. scriptures that will help us in establishing

  248. this particular idea. So, they also hold that

  249. the church that Jesus Christ is referring to

  250. here is the Roman Catholic Church and that Apostle

  251. Peter is the rock upon which the church is built.

  252. Therefore, he is the first pope. He is the pope

  253. of the church. Now, how true is this assertion?

  254. Because our basic knowledge of scriptures will

  255. help us to understand that Peter had a wife,

  256. right? He was married. He had a family. And then

  257. the Pope of today does not marry. So when we

  258. try to, I mean, it becomes difficult to establish

  259. this fact. But let's go deeper and we'll see.

  260. Now it is important to note that the background.

  261. we've said this time and time and time immemorial,

  262. that the background of everything that Jesus

  263. would do, the background of everything that Jesus

  264. did while he was on earth, the background, the

  265. context of everything Jesus taught while he was

  266. on earth is from the writings of Moses, from

  267. the Psalms, and from the prophets. That is to

  268. say that there's nothing that Jesus Christ do

  269. that is from the blues. Including the words he

  270. speak. Including the actions he took. Including

  271. what he accomplished. It's from what? It's from

  272. the writings of Moses. And what are the writings

  273. of Moses? The first five books of the Bible.

  274. And then the Psalms and the prophets. Luke chapter

    Luke 24:44

  275. 24 verse 44. Luke 24 verse 44. Then he said to

    Luke 24:44

  276. them, these are the words which I spoke to you

  277. while I was still with you. The words Jesus spoke

  278. to them. And what are the words Jesus was speaking

  279. to them? That all things must be fulfilled which

  280. were written in the law of Moses and the prophets

  281. and the Psalms concerning me. So Jesus Christ

  282. spoke to them or he taught them The generality

  283. of all that Jesus taught them was from the writings

  284. of Moses, was from what the prophets have prophesied

  285. about, and from what the Psalms have written

  286. concerning Jesus. Matthew 5, verse 17, we see

    Matthew 5:17

  287. where Jesus Christ will say that he has not come

  288. to destroy the law. Do not think that I have

  289. come to destroy the law. All the prophets, that

  290. is, Jesus Christ did not come to condemn or to

  291. do away with what the laws, the laws of Moses,

  292. what Moses have written, what the prophets have

  293. said. I did not come to destroy, but to do what?

  294. But to accomplish them, to fulfill them. Because

  295. these were promises, these were prophecies. So

  296. my coming... Is to bring toward to accomplishment.

  297. What all the prophets have said. Verse 18. For

  298. as surely I say to you. Till heaven and earth

  299. pass away. One dot. Or one little. Or one little.

  300. Will by no means pass. From the law. Till all

  301. is what. Till all is fulfilled. So Jesus Christ

  302. was to fulfill what has been said or what has

  303. been written. So if Jesus preaches a message

  304. apart from that of the prophets, he wouldn't

  305. be the Christ. If Jesus Christ would teach anything

  306. that is outside the scriptures, if Jesus Christ

  307. would say any word that is outside the scriptures,

  308. then he would not be the Messiah. Because the

  309. writings in the Old Testament were actually...

  310. The words of Jesus. The prophets were able to

  311. see by divine inspiration what Jesus will do.

  312. So specifically, the prophets and Moses were

  313. writing the words of Jesus Christ. They were

  314. writing what Jesus will come to do. So therefore,

  315. whatever Jesus will say, the vocabulary and the

  316. choice of words, that Jesus will use in his ministry,

  317. the language, the verbiage by which Jesus will

  318. use in his teachings will definitely be from

  319. where? From what the prophets have said. From

  320. what Moses have written. From what we will see

  321. in the Holy Scripture. His words must be from

  322. what we call the Old Testament Scripture. From

  323. Genesis to Malachi. So the rock and the church

  324. that Jesus Christ will be speaking, because remember

  325. I said that Jesus Christ asked a question. He

  326. said, who do men say I am? And we agree or we

  327. saw that the question that Jesus Christ was asking

  328. was not out of what? Was not out of identity

  329. crisis, right? He was not trying to know from

  330. them, but the goal of his question is to what?

  331. Is to teach. Hallelujah. The goal of his question

  332. is what? Is for teaching. It's to explain a truth.

  333. It's to bring light to a reality, to a truth.

  334. So the rock and the church that Jesus will speak

  335. about, the rock and the church that Jesus Christ

  336. will teach about, will speak about, or will speak

  337. of must be those spoken or that which was spoken

  338. of by the prophets. All right? That which was

  339. spoken of by the prophets, that which was spoken

  340. of, was written by Moses, was taught by Moses

  341. and in the Psalms. Jesus only came to do what?

  342. To fulfill and not to establish something new.

  343. So if we see Jesus Christ making reference to

  344. something, it must be something that has already

  345. been what? Been prophesied or has been said by

  346. the prophets. So, most of what Jesus said in

  347. the four gospels, you know, will be fulfilled

  348. in his resurrection. I want you to note this

  349. very, very well. Because Jesus says, upon this

  350. rock, I will build, which means that upon this

  351. rock, he has not built yet, right? It's a promise.

  352. So, while Jesus was on earth, before dying, Most

  353. of the things he taught were promises. They were

  354. not fulfilled before his death, his burial, and

  355. his resurrection. So, most of what Jesus would

  356. say in the four gospels was not fulfilled there

  357. when he was saying them. Which means that much

  358. of Jesus' sermon in the four gospels will be

  359. promises to be fulfilled when? When will these

  360. promises be fulfilled? In his resurrection, right?

  361. In his resurrection. So that is a very important

  362. truth we should note. So, for example, now the

  363. Sermon on the Mount. Let's go to the Sermon on

  364. the Mount and see the teachings he did before

  365. he died and rose again. Matthew chapter 5 from

    Matthew 5 chapter mention

  366. verse 1. And seeing the multitude. He went up

  367. on a mountain, and when he was seated, his disciples

  368. came to him. And then he opened his mouth and

  369. taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in

  370. spirit, for theirs is a kingdom of heaven. How

  371. will the kingdom of heaven be established? In

  372. his resurrection. All right? So what Jesus Christ

  373. will be teaching here will actually be what will

  374. be established at his resurrection. He will say,

  375. What is the source of comfort of the believer?

  376. Who comforts the believer? The Holy Spirit. So

  377. by this time, has the Holy Spirit been given?

  378. It has not been given. Why? Because he has not

  379. yet died. He has not died. He has not been raised

  380. from the dead yet. He has not been taken up to

  381. glory yet. Because we saw that the condition

  382. for the outpouring of the Spirit of God is that

  383. Jesus will be taken away, that Jesus will be

  384. gone to heaven. So it is important to note that.

  385. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit

  386. the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst

  387. for righteousness. For they shall be filled.

  388. Blessed are the merciful. For they shall obtain

  389. mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart. For they

  390. shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers. For

  391. they shall be called the sons of God. How will

  392. men be called the sons of God? Men will be called

  393. the sons of God. The Bible will say that as many

  394. as did receive him, right? He gave them the ability.

  395. As many as did believe. Receiving him means believing

  396. in what he has, he will do, believing in what

  397. he has done. That is how they will become the

  398. sons of God. From the viewpoint of his resurrection.

  399. Alright? So blessed are those who are persecuted

  400. for righteousness' sake. For theirs is the kingdom

  401. of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and

  402. persecute you and say all kinds of evil against

  403. you, falsely for my sake. Rejoice and exceedingly

  404. glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for

  405. they persecuted the prophets who were before

  406. you. So all these things, the ability, right,

  407. to become all. That has been taught in these

  408. scriptures. If you go on and on. We see Jesus

  409. Christ teaching several things. You know. We

  410. see where Jesus Christ is talking about. Love

  411. for your enemies. Like in verse 43. It says you

  412. have heard that it was said. You shall love your

  413. neighbor. And hate your enemy. That is what the

  414. law says. But I say to you. Love your enemies.

  415. Bless those who curse you. Do good to those who

  416. hate you. And pray for those who spitefully use

  417. you and persecute you. That you may be the sons

  418. of your father in heaven. For he makes his son

  419. to rise on the evil and on the good. And send

  420. rain on the just and on the unjust. It takes

  421. only a man that has been filled by the spirit.

  422. That can what? That can express this kind of

  423. life. I believe so much that those who were listening

  424. to him did not have the ability to what? To live

  425. out these things that Jesus was saying. Amen?

  426. Imagine someone that is not born again and I

  427. tell him to love his enemies. How is he going

  428. to do it? How is he going to do it? So, most

  429. of Jesus' teachings and what he taught were what?

  430. Were what will be fulfilled or what will be accomplished

  431. at his word, at his resurrection. So, Matthew

    Matthew 16:18

  432. 16, verse 18 will also be similar, right? It

  433. will be what will be accomplished when? At his

  434. resurrection. All his miracles, not only teachings,

  435. but even the miracles, the sermons, and the parables

  436. are about his death, his burial, and his resurrection.

  437. It's about the kingdom. Hallelujah. The parables

  438. are not just for fun. It's not comedy. They are

  439. to teach about what he will do at his death,

  440. his burial, and his resurrection. They are to

  441. proclaim, to help in bringing about the knowledge

  442. of what he will do. You know, in his death, his

  443. burial, and his resurrection. Let's look at one

  444. of his miracles. Let's look at one of his miracles.

  445. The first miracle he did. Which was the first

  446. miracle recorded by Jesus? Turn your water into

  447. wine. Amen. Let's go to John chapter 2. John

John 2 chapter mention John 2 chapter mention

  448. chapter 2. From verse 1 to 10. We'll read from

  449. verse 1 to 10. On the third day, there was a

  450. wedding in Cana of Galilee. And the mother of

  451. Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and his disciples

  452. were invited to the wedding. And when they ran

  453. out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to him,

  454. they have no wine. Okay? She came to Jesus and

  455. said, see. Their wine has finished. There's a

  456. debate. Some say it's alcohol. Some say it's

  457. not alcohol. But let's just know that there's

  458. something called wine. All right? And when you

  459. drink wine, what will happen to you? If you drink

  460. it in excess, what will happen to you? Eh? You'll

  461. be drunk, right? So, wine. Whatever way you want

  462. to explain it is wine. And if you drink plenty

  463. of it, you'll be drunk. Hallelujah. So Jesus

  464. turned water into wine. That's the context here.

  465. Look how Jesus replied to her. She came to Jesus

  466. and said, Your wine has finished. And Jesus said

  467. to her, Woman, what does your concern have to

  468. do with me? My hour has not yet come. My hour

  469. has not yet come. His mother said to the servants,

  470. whatever he says to you, do it. Now they set

  471. their six water pots of stone according to the

  472. manner of purification of the Jews containing

  473. 20 or 30 gallons apiece. Jesus said to them,

  474. fill the water pots with water and they fill

  475. them up to the brim. And he said to them, draw

  476. some out now. Draw some out now and take it to

  477. the master of the feast. That is the chairman

  478. of the wedding. And they took it. When the master

  479. of the feast had tested the water that was made

  480. wine and did not know where it came from, but

  481. the servants who had drawn the water knew, the

  482. master of the feast called the bridegroom. And

  483. he said to him, every man at the beginning set

  484. out the good wine. And when the guests have well

  485. drunk, then the inferior, you know, the wine

  486. Jesus was a quality wine, you know, original

  487. wine, not diluted. He was surprised. At every

  488. wedding, people bring out the best so that people

  489. will drink. And when they drink, they are drunk.

  490. Then we can now see, you know, when you are drunk,

  491. you will not know, you know. When you're hungry,

  492. no matter how bad the food is, the food is always

  493. sweet in your mouth when you're hungry. Understand?

  494. But when you keep eating, you keep eating, no

  495. matter how sweet it is, when you are full, you

  496. know, we call it diminishing utility, right?

  497. The more you take of a substance, the value or

  498. the satisfaction you get from it drops. So the

  499. master said of the wedding says, every man at

  500. the beginning set out the good wine. And when

  501. the guests have well drunk, then the inferior,

  502. you have kept the good wine until now. I think

  503. he was shouting there. Because it's an exclamation

  504. mark. Right? This beginning of signs Jesus did

  505. in Cana of Galilee and manifested his word, his

  506. glory, and his disciples' word, they believed

  507. him. Now. Why wine? Upon all the miracles that

  508. Jesus will set out his ministry. Why alcohol?

  509. Amen? Why wine? And we say that everything that

  510. Jesus will teach, will do, okay, will say, must

  511. have his root from where? From scripture. Hallelujah.

  512. So why wine? We will see from the story that

  513. fiscal wine, we will see from the story that

  514. the fiscal wine finished at the party, right?

  515. When Jesus was approached, he said in verse 4,

  516. give me verse 4. He says, my hour is not yet

  517. come. My hour has not yet come. Give me verse

  518. 4 again. He said, my hour has not yet come. What

  519. does Jesus mean by my hour has not yet come?

  520. Which means that he's talking about time, right?

  521. This is not my time. This will mean that at his

  522. hour, there shall be wine. Okay? He said, my

  523. hour has not come, which means that at his hour,

  524. what will happen? There will be wine. There will

  525. be wine. So what does his hour mean? Or when

  526. is his hour? If you are writing, you can put,

  527. when is his hour? Let's investigate and see his

  528. hour. What does his hour mean? What kind of wine

  529. will we have at his hour? The original wine.

  530. Amen? Remember, when he brought out the wine,

  531. it was what? It was a high quality wine. It says,

  532. my hour has not yet come. What is that hour?

  533. And what kind of wine will we have at his hour?

  534. Now, my hour will refer to a particular time,

  535. a specific time. My hour will refer to a specific

  536. time. Let's look at it in scriptures. John chapter

    John 4:21

  537. 4 verse 21. John chapter 4 verse 21. John 4 verse

    John 4:21 John 4:21

  538. 21. Jesus said to her, this is Jesus' interaction

  539. with, you know, the Samaritan woman, right? Jesus

  540. said to her, Woman, believe me. The hour, you

  541. see the hour. My hour. The hour is coming. When

  542. you will need on this mountain in Jerusalem worship

  543. the father. Do you have an idea of when this

  544. will happen? Huh? When? Help me. When? At his

  545. resurrection, right? That's a hint. Verse 22.

  546. You will worship what you do not know. We know

  547. what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.

  548. 23. But the hour, the hour, the hour is coming.

  549. And now is when the true worshipers will worship

  550. the Father in spirit and truth. In spirit, which

  551. is truth. So the hour is the hour where worship

  552. will be what? By the spirit. For the father is

  553. seeking such to worship him. Verse 24. God is

  554. spirit. And those who worship him must worship

  555. him in spirit. Which is truth. Which is true

  556. worship. Jump to chapter 12. That same John.

    John 12:23

  557. Chapter 12 verse 23. John 12 verse 23. John chapter

    John 12:23 John 12:23

  558. 12 verse 23. But Jesus answered them saying.

  559. The hour has come. All right. Previously, we

  560. established that the hour is when? It's after

  561. his resurrection, right? Now, the specific time

  562. where we see as the hour is after his resurrection.

  563. Here, but Jesus answered them saying, the hour

  564. has come that the son of man should be glorified.

  565. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain

  566. of wheat, he explains. How the son of man will

  567. be glorified. I say to you, unless a grain of

  568. wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains

  569. all alone. But if it dies, it produces much grain.

  570. So it produces much grain. Verse 26, 25, 25,

  571. 25. He who loves his life will lose it. And he

  572. who hates his life in this world will keep it

  573. for eternal life. If anyone serves me, let him

  574. follow me. And there where I am, there my servant

  575. will be also. If anyone serves me, him my father

  576. will honor. Now, go back to the previous verses.

  577. It talks about unless a ground of wheat is what?

  578. Dies. And he's making reference to what? To himself.

  579. He's making reference to his death. If you plant

  580. a seed on the ground, right? What happens to

  581. the seed? A corn. It dies. then it comes back

  582. to life. It germinates. And when it grows, it

  583. has different, much more, it multiplies. That

  584. is to say that at his death, right, at his death

  585. and his resurrection, there will be many. There

  586. will be many. There will be us. There will be

  587. many. The grain of wheat falls into the ground

  588. and dies. It remains alone. Unless it is dead,

  589. as of that moment, it remains alone. He's the

  590. only begotten. But once he dies and then he rise

  591. again from the dead, we all became sons of God.

  592. We share in that sonship with him. Hallelujah.

  593. So that hour is referring to what? It's referring

  594. to the time of his resurrection. Amen? His resurrection.

  595. Now, chapter 17, John chapter 17, verse 1 also,

    John 17:1

  596. we'll see also. Referring to the hour. John chapter

    John 17:1

  597. 17 verse 1. Jesus spoke this word, lifted up

  598. his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour

  599. has come. Glorify your son that your son may

  600. also glorify you. Hallelujah. So the hour, from

  601. the text we've read, we can derive that the hour

  602. refers to Jesus' resurrection. The specific time,

  603. okay, that Jesus Christ, He's referring to is

  604. what? His resurrection. So the miracle of turning

  605. water into wine is symbolic of what will happen

  606. in Jesus' resurrection. Okay? The symbolism of

  607. what the miracle of turning water into wine is

  608. a teaching on what Jesus will do at his resurrection.

  609. Mary, was speaking of what? What was she speaking

  610. of? She was speaking of a physical wine. Right?

  611. While Jesus' focus is on something spiritual,

  612. is on spiritual wine. Because the hour of Jesus

  613. Christ will be at his resurrection. And what

  614. will happen at his resurrection is a spiritual

  615. activity. So we'll see that his wine will be

  616. what? Will be at his hour. Jesus will give God's

  617. wine in his hour, in his time, at his time, at

  618. his hour. Now this new wine will be in the father's

  619. kingdom. The kingdom is at his resurrection.

  620. This one will be at his father's resurrection.

  621. His father's kingdom, rather. Matthew 26, 29,

  622. we see where he said this clearly. This wine

  623. will be what? Will be in his father's kingdom.

  624. Matthew 26, 29. But I say to you. Now the context

  625. is that he was at a table with the disciples.

  626. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit

  627. of the vine. That is wine. From now until the

  628. day. When I drink it new with you in my father's

  629. kingdom. What is this wine? He also referred

  630. to the wine as his blood. Now, what we're trying

  631. to do right now is we're trying to find definitions,

  632. terminologies that Jesus used in his teaching.

  633. And the goal is to help us to explain that rock.

  634. Don't be confused. All right? So here, what is

  635. Jesus' wine? What is the wine? He also called

  636. the wine his blood. Go back to verse 26 of that

  637. same Matthew 26, from verse 26. And as they were

  638. eating, Jesus took the bread and blessed and

  639. broke it and gave it to the disciples and said,

  640. take, eat, this is my body. So what did he call

  641. the bread? He called the bread his body. All

  642. right? If I were you, I would also cycle somewhere

  643. the bread. Because it is something. It symbolizes

  644. something. So, 27. Then he took the cup and gave

  645. thanks and gave it to them, saying, drink from

  646. it, all of you. Drink from it, all of you. For

  647. this is my blood. This is my blood of the new

  648. covenant, which is shed for many for the remissions

  649. of sins. So what is he talking about here? His

  650. resurrection, right? What will happen in the

  651. resurrection? But I say to you, I will not drink

  652. of this fruit of the vine from now until that

  653. day when I drink it now, new rather, with you.

  654. In my father's kingdom. So he also referred to

  655. the wine as his blood. So it is important to

  656. take note of how Jesus uses vocabularies and

  657. terminologies. Okay? It is important to see.

  658. Now let's study more about his usage of words.

  659. John chapter 6 verse 26. John chapter 6. Verse

John 6:26 John 6 chapter mention

  660. 26. Jesus answered them and said, Most assuredly,

  661. I say to you, you seek me not because you sowed

  662. the signs, but you ate of the loaves and were

  663. filled. Remember we saw bread when he was with

  664. his disciples, right? Now we're going to explain

  665. what is his bread. Because do not label. Take

  666. me back to verse 26. Jesus answered them and

  667. said, most assuredly I say to you, you seek me

  668. not because you saw the signs, but because you

  669. ate of loaves and were filled. They ate what?

  670. They ate physical bread and they were filled.

  671. Verse 27. Do not labor for the food which perishes,

  672. but for the food which endures to everlasting

  673. life. Which the son of man will give you because

  674. God, the father, has set his seed on him. Now

  675. in this verse 27, we can see that there are two

  676. types of food. Okay? First, there is a food which

  677. perishes. And what is that food? The physical

  678. food that you eat. And then the perishing of

  679. that is that you go and throw it in the sewage.

  680. Right? And it has perished. But Jesus now introduces

  681. another food that yields, that he says, but for

  682. the food which endures to everlasting life, which

  683. the Son of Man will give you. So Jesus will give

  684. a certain food, which when you eat, will lead

  685. to eternal life. Amen? It will lead to eternal

  686. life. So the background story here in this John

    John 6 chapter mention

  687. chapter 6. It's from verse 1. When Jesus had

  688. performed the miracle of the feeding of the 5

  689. ,000, and then he began teaching about the kingdom.

  690. Now, in verse 27, we see him contrasting two

  691. kinds of food. Fiscal food and what? And spiritual

  692. food. Amen? Fiscal food and what? And spiritual

  693. food. Now, let's go to, let's continue our reading.

  694. Verse 28. Then they said to him, what shall we

  695. do that we may walk the works of God? As if they

  696. are, you know, really out for the work of God.

  697. What shall we do to walk the works of God? Now

  698. look at what the work of God is. What is the

  699. work of God? This is the work of God. Jesus said

  700. to them, that you what? That you believe in him

  701. whom he sent. Therefore they said to him, what

  702. sign? Will you perform then that we may see it

  703. and believe you? What work will you do? These

  704. guys, they want food. They make reference to

  705. their father. Who is their father? Their ancestors

  706. under Moses. They said, our fathers ate the manna

  707. in the desert as it is written. They knew from

  708. scriptures, right? He gave them bread from heaven

  709. to eat. Then Jesus said to them, most assuredly,

  710. I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread

  711. from heaven. All right? The bread you eat is

  712. a physical bread. Moses did not give you the

  713. bread from heaven, but my father gives the true

  714. bread from heaven. The true bread from heaven,

  715. true bread means, what does it mean? The word

  716. true. The real bread, right? The one that is

  717. permanent. We're not saying that the bread they

  718. ate is a false bread, no. True here means one

  719. that lasts forever and is from heaven. For a

  720. bread of God, let's look at the definition of

  721. a God's bread now. What is the definition of

  722. their own bread? It's flour. Mixed with dough

  723. baked in the oven. That is their own bread, right?

  724. That is the definition of their bread. What is

  725. God's definition of bread? For the bread of God

  726. is what? Is a person. Amen? So when you see bread,

  727. in God's language, the bread is a person. For

  728. the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven

  729. and gives life to the world. It means that what

  730. Moses did was a picture or was speaking about

  731. what Jesus will do. Jesus is the bread that gives

  732. life. But started, yeah, 34. Then he said to

  733. him, then they said to him, Lord, give us this

  734. bread always. Give us this bread when? Always.

  735. And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life.

  736. I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall

  737. never hunger. Because it's a true bread. It's

  738. an eternal bread. Once you eat this bread, you

  739. will never be hungry again. Alright? And he who

  740. believes in me shall never thirst. But I say

  741. to you, that you have seen me and yet do not

  742. believe. So what does it mean to eat? It means

  743. to believe. Yet you've seen this bread, but you've

  744. refused to eat of this bread. God's definition

  745. for eating is believing, right? We've done this

  746. several times in church here. But I said to you

  747. that you have seen me and yet do not believe.

  748. All that the Father gives me, Will come to me.

  749. And the one who comes to me. I will by no means

  750. cast out. For I have come down from heaven. Not

  751. to do my own will. But the will of him. Who sent

  752. me. This is the will of the father. Who sent

  753. me. That of all that he has given me. I should

  754. lose nothing. But should raise it up. At the

  755. last day. And this is the will of him who sent

  756. me. That everyone who sees the son will do what?

  757. And believes in him may have everlasting life.

  758. And I will raise him up at the last day. Now,

  759. what Jesus is doing here is telling them what

  760. Moses did. Amen? He's teaching them Moses here.

  761. What Moses did by giving them the physical bread.

  762. The miracle Moses demonstrated of. Of feeding

  763. the nation of Israel with the loves of bread.

  764. Jesus replicated that by feeding 5 ,000. Moses

  765. fed the children of Israel in the wilderness.

  766. For how long? For 40 years. Jesus replicated

  767. that miracle by feeding the 5 ,000. Verse 41.

  768. And the Jews then complained about him because,

  769. you know, the bread they were looking for is

  770. not really Jesus. They want bread. They want

  771. to eat food. The Jews then complained about him

  772. because he said, I am the bread which came down

  773. from heaven. And they said, is not this Jesus

  774. the son of Joseph whose father and mother we

  775. know? But you people ate 5 ,000, you people ate

  776. that bread after, you didn't complain. Now when

  777. he's telling you that he's a bread of life that

  778. comes down from heaven, even with a sign he did,

  779. he didn't believe. Whose father and mother we

  780. know. How is it then that he says, I came, I

  781. have come down from heaven. Jesus therefore answered

  782. and said to them, do not murmur among yourselves.

  783. No one can come to me unless the father. Who

  784. sent me draws him. And I will raise him up at

  785. the last day. It is written in the prophets.

  786. Look at Jesus. Continuation of his teaching.

  787. It is written in the prophets. And they shall

  788. be taught by God. Therefore. Therefore. Everyone

  789. who has heard and learned from the father. Comes

  790. to me. Not that anyone. Has seen the father.

  791. Except he. who is from God, he has seen the Father.

  792. Most assuredly, I say to you, that is verily,

  793. he who believes in me has everlasting life. He

  794. who believes in me has everlasting life. 48.

  795. I am, what? The bread of life. He keep hammering,

  796. I am the bread of life. I am the bread of life.

  797. Verse 49. Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness.

  798. Now he's bringing home the teaching to them.

  799. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness

  800. and what happened to them? They died. Which means

  801. that that bread is not a true bread. Which means

  802. that that bread, if you eat it, you will not

  803. live forever. You will not live everlasting life.

  804. You will not have everlasting life. If you eat

  805. the physical bread, you yourself will even perish.

  806. This is the bread which comes down from heaven,

  807. that one may eat of it and not die. So there's

  808. a contrasting between the bread that Jesus was

  809. speaking about and the bread that the men were

  810. expecting. Similarly with the wine that we saw

  811. earlier on at Cana. Okay? I am the living bread

  812. which comes down from heaven. If anyone eats

  813. of this bread, he will live when? Forever. And

  814. the bread that I shall give is what? What is

  815. the bread? The bread is my flesh. This bread

  816. is my flesh which I shall give for the life of

  817. the world. The bread is my flesh which I shall

  818. give for the life of the world. Then the Jews

  819. therefore quarreled among themselves saying,

  820. how can this man give us his flesh to eat? How

  821. can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus

  822. said to them, most assuredly I say to you, unless

  823. you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink

  824. his blood, you have what? You have no life in

  825. you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood,

  826. Has eternal life. And I will raise him up at

  827. the last day. So is Jesus referring to physical

  828. flesh? Is Jesus referring to physical blood?

  829. For my flesh is food indeed. And my blood is

  830. what? Is drink indeed. So I want you to make

  831. some parallel assumptions here right now. The

  832. wine is what? Is a blood. Alright? The flesh

  833. is also the what? Is the bread. Do we agree?

  834. Can we see the parallel of this in his teachings?

  835. So do we know the wine of God? Is the blood,

  836. right? Do we know the bread of God? It is flesh.

  837. Alright? So, let's continue. He who eats my flesh

  838. and drinks my blood abides in me. Amen? You eat

  839. the flesh, you drink the blood, you abide in

  840. him, and I in him. How does a man come in union

  841. with God? How does a man come in union with God?

  842. How does God enter a man? By faith. By what?

  843. The Spirit. All are there. As the living Father

  844. sent me, and I live because of the Father, so

  845. he who feeds on me will live because of me. Last

  846. verse. This is the bread which comes down from

  847. heaven, not as your fathers ate the manna and

  848. are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.

  849. He who eats this bread will live forever. So

  850. in verses 32, 33, we will see the bread Moses

  851. gave their fathers and also the bread God gives.

  852. Contrast of two different breads. Two kinds of

  853. bread. The true bread means it is real and permanent.

  854. It gives eternal life for one who eats it will

  855. never hunger again. And what is their bread?

  856. Their bread is what is egg make. It's flour.

  857. And it is a shadow. It is a shadow. It is a symbol.

  858. It is pointing toward the God's bread, the true

  859. bread, the body of Jesus Christ. So we accept

  860. the divination of Jesus, right? So when we see

  861. bread, we know what it means. It's a vocabulary

  862. in the kingdom. We know what it means. Hallelujah.

  863. So when you say bread, when we say bread in this

  864. house, we know what bread is. What is bread?

  865. Bread is the body of Jesus Christ. We know what

  866. blood is, blood of Jesus Christ. Blood of Jesus

  867. Christ is what we drink in the kingdom so that

  868. we can have life. Amen? But if you tell an unbeliever

  869. outside there that you eat flesh and you drink

  870. blood, how will they understand what you are

  871. saying? It becomes what? It becomes a mystery.

  872. But this mystery can be explained. By what? By

  873. explanation, by teaching. As we are knowing now,

  874. that when we say blood, flesh and blood in the

  875. context of Jesus Christ, we are referring to

  876. his body. And that is what we eat. So that we

  877. can have him in us. Hallelujah. So we accept

  878. the definition of Jesus as the kingdom vocabulary.

  879. Our bread is the body of Jesus. We have eaten.

  880. And what does it mean to eat? We have believed.

  881. the body, and have drunk his blood. And then

  882. from verse 60 to 65, that's John 60, 65, chapter

  883. 6, verse 60 to 65, we see they refuse to believe.

  884. Give me verse 60, from verse 60. It says, therefore

  885. many of his disciples, when they had this said,

  886. this is a hard saying, who can understand it?

  887. When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples

  888. complained about this, he said to them, does

  889. this offend you? Do you get offended by this

  890. thing? What then if I should see, what if you

  891. should see the son of man ascending where he

  892. was before? And then he made it clear. This is

  893. what I'm meaning. What gives life? It is the

  894. spirit who gives life. You eat bread, you have

  895. life. So what he's explaining to disciples here,

  896. he's telling them that the bread is what? Is

  897. spirit. Alright? The bread, the blood, the wine,

  898. is his spirit. Do we understand? Do you understand?

  899. Jamila, what is the bread? His spirit. What is

  900. the wine? His spirit. What is the blood? His

  901. spirit. Alright? So, these symbols is referring

  902. to what? His spirit. It is the spirit who gives

  903. life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that

  904. I speak to you are spirit and they are life.

  905. But there are some of you who do not believe.

  906. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were,

  907. who did not believe, and who would betray him.

  908. And he said, therefore I have said to you that

  909. no one can come to me unless it has been granted

  910. to him by my Father. And of course, it's through

  911. faith. Hallelujah. So we can see that the flesh

  912. of Jesus Christ, the blood of Jesus Christ, refers

  913. to what? To his spirit, to his spirit. So our

  914. definition of the flesh is a spirit. Our definition

  915. of the bread is a spirit. Jesus also used water

  916. in teaching about the spirit. Symbolism, right?

  917. Jesus also used water in teaching about the spirit.

  918. John chapter 3 from verse 1, we'll see. Let's

    John 3 chapter mention

  919. go to John chapter 3 verse 1. John chapter 3

    John 3:1 John 3:1

  920. verse 1. There was a man of the Pharisees named

  921. Nicodemus. This man came to Jesus by night and

  922. said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher.

  923. Come from God, for no one can do these signs

  924. that you do unless God Is with him. Unless God

  925. is with him. Jesus answered and said to him.

  926. Most assuredly I say to you. Unless one is born

  927. again. He cannot see. The kingdom of heaven.

  928. So to be in the kingdom of heaven. You must be

  929. born again. So Nicodemus. Now there is a contrast

  930. here. Okay. Jesus Christ was explaining. Birth.

  931. Alright? Jesus Christ was explaining birth, the

  932. new birth. And then what Nicodemus was able to

  933. see was a physical birth. Now, let's continue.

  934. Nicodemus said to him, how can a man be born

  935. when he is old? Can he enter a second time into

  936. his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered,

  937. most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born

  938. of what? Of water. And the spirit, now we've

  939. explained in church here that the water, that

  940. idea is best explained as what? Which is, right?

  941. Born of water, which is the spirit. He cannot

  942. enter the kingdom of God. That which is born

  943. of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of

  944. the spirit, spirit. Do not marvel that I say

  945. to you, you must be born again. The wind blows

  946. where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it,

  947. but cannot tell where it comes from and where

  948. it goes. So it's everyone who is born of the

  949. Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said to him, How

  950. can these things be? Jesus answered and said

  951. to him, Are you the teacher of Israel and not

  952. know these things? Because these things have

  953. been explained in the writings of the prophets.

  954. These things have been explained by the writings

  955. of Moses. How can you not understand these things

  956. and you are a teacher of Israel? Most assuredly

  957. I say to you, we speak what we know and testify

  958. what we have seen. And you do not receive our

  959. witness. It's referring to the unbelief of the

  960. people. If I have told you earthly things and

  961. you do not believe, how will you believe if I

  962. tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended

  963. to heaven, but he who came down from heaven,

  964. that is the son of man who is in heaven. Now,

  965. he went back to the books of Moses, Numbers 29.

  966. To bring home the point, he says, and as Moses

  967. lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even

  968. so must the son of man be lifted up. That is,

  969. as Moses taught the children of Israel. All right?

  970. Lifting up the serpent is Moses' teaching about

  971. Jesus. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the

  972. wilderness, the men will look up, the men will

  973. see and believe that whoever believes in him

  974. should not perish, but have eternal life. And

  975. then, for God so loved the world that he gave

  976. his only begotten son. It was not direct. Whoever

  977. believes in him should not perish, but have what?

  978. Have everlasting life. For God did not send his

  979. son into the world to condemn the world, but

  980. that the world through him might be saved. And

  981. of course, this prophecy about water being the

  982. spirit, we see it in Ezekiel 36, verse 25 to

    Ezekiel 36:25–27

  983. 27. That is where Jesus Christ Was. Teaching

  984. from. Water as the spirit. Where is that you

  985. must be born. You must be what. So let's look

  986. at John. John chapter 7 verse 37. Where he explicitly.

    John 7:37

  987. John 7 verse 37. On the last day. That great

    John 7:37

  988. day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out saying,

  989. if anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.

  990. If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and do

  991. what? And drink. He who believes in me, as the

  992. scripture has said, out of his heart will flow.

  993. Rivers of living water. Verse 39. But this. Look

  994. at it. The rivers of living water. But this he

  995. speaks of what? He spoke concerning the spirit.

  996. Whom those believing in him will receive. For

  997. the Holy Spirit was not yet given. Because Jesus

  998. was not yet what? Glorified. So what is the water?

  999. The spirit. All right? Go back to verse 38. He

1000. says, verse 37. If anyone tasks, let him come

1001. to me and drink. 38, yes. He who believes in

1002. me as the scripture has said. Jesus said, as

1003. the scripture has said. Okay, what does it mean

1004. by as the scripture has said? Is there any verse

1005. in the Bible that said this specific thing that

1006. Jesus said? As the scripture have said, out of

1007. his heart will flow the rivers of living water.

1008. Now, if you go through the Old Testament, right,

1009. you will not see anywhere in scripture exactly

1010. as portrayed at the heart of his heart. Some

1011. people, oftentimes, they say it's Zechariah 14

    Zechariah 14:8

1012. verse 8. Let's look at Zechariah chapter 14 verse

    Zechariah 14:8

1013. 8. This is not this text. That's not a reference.

  1014. Zechariah 14 verse 8. Zechariah 14 verse 8. Media,

    Zechariah 14:8 Zechariah 14:8

1015. help me. They don't have Zechariah in their Bible.

1016. Okay? Zechariah 14 verse 8. Alright, they are

    Zechariah 14:8

1017. here. And in that day, It shall be that living

1018. water shall flow from Jerusalem, half of them

1019. towards the eastern sea and half of them towards

1020. the western sea, in both summer and winter, and

1021. in all winter it shall occur. And the Lord shall

1022. be king over the earth. In that day it shall

1023. be the Lord is one, and his name is one. Now,

1024. this is not exactly the same quotation. But then,

1025. when Jesus Christ said that, As the scripture

1026. says, what he's meaning here, right? Listen to

1027. me carefully. What he's meaning here is that

1028. the entire scripture is a context of what Jesus

1029. say here. Are we together? The entire scripture

1030. that is from Malachi, from Genesis to Malachi,

1031. is the context of what Jesus Christ is speaking

1032. here. So we can conclude based on this evidence

1033. that what? That the teachings, this is what we

1034. are trying to hit. This is where we're headed

1035. to. That the teachings and the miracles of Jesus

1036. Christ are concerning what he will do when? When

1037. will he do them? In his resurrection. Alright?

1038. These are the things that will be accomplished

1039. at his resurrection. The vocabulary or the use

1040. of words Jesus employed in teaching about the

1041. kingdom, in explaining the things concerning

1042. the kingdom, are different from that of which

1043. we see in the world. Meaning that what? That

1044. what Jesus Christ will say is bread. Okay? Will

1045. be different from what the world will say is

1046. bread. What Jesus Christ will say is water. When

1047. you see water, what Jesus Christ will mean will

1048. be different from what the world will say is

1049. water. Are we together? So in this kingdom, we

1050. have a vocabulary. We have terminologies that

1051. we must understand. It's very important. It's

1052. crucial to understanding scriptures. It's important

1053. in understanding scriptures. Hallelujah. Are

1054. we together? So, in the same light, the rock

1055. and the church, right? When Jesus Christ said

1056. the rock and when he said the church, it must

1057. be the same. Rock and church that has been spoken

1058. of by Moses. That have been taught by the writings

1059. of Moses. The Psalms and the prophets. Because

1060. we have seen the background of all that Jesus

1061. did and taught. Where from what? Where from the

1062. Old Testament text. The church will be the church

1063. when? In his resurrection. So. What is expected

1064. of us, therefore, is that we can accept, that

1065. we should accept Jesus' use of terminologies.

1066. What he says is what it is. God's definition

1067. must be our definition. We believe what he says

1068. it is so that we can understand his word and

1069. walk in his word. Now, what is the rock? What

1070. is the rock? Matthew 16, verse 18. Matthew 16,

    Matthew 16:18 Matthew 16:18

1071. verse 18. And I also say to you that you are

1072. Peter. And on this rock, I will build my church,

1073. and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against

1074. it. So how are we going to explain this rock?

1075. Someone should help us. How are we going to explain

1076. this rock now? We've done, this is a biblical

1077. interpretation, right, Pastor Victor? Okay, so

1078. how are we going to explain this rock now? Someone

1079. should chorus it for us. How are we going to

1080. explain this rock? Hmm? From the scripture? From

1081. Matthew? Because Matthew is scripture too. From

1082. where? From the Old Testament. What is Old Testament?

1083. Hmm? Sisters, do you agree with him? If we want

1084. to understand what that rock is, where should

1085. we go to? Speak louder, we can hear. Writings

1086. of Moses, right? Because Jesus Christ will not

1087. bring in something from somewhere. Are we together?

1088. Because he came to fulfill, to accomplish what

1089. was already written. So if you want to see what

1090. the rock is, then we have to go back to where?

1091. Let's go back. to the writings of Moses in order

1092. for us to understand what that rock is. So let's

1093. see what Moses wrote concerning the rock. What

1094. Moses wrote concerning the rock. Exodus chapter

    Exodus 33 chapter mention

1095. 33. Exodus 33. Amen. Move to verse 12, from verse

1096. 12. Then the Lord said to Moses, no, then Moses

1097. said to the Lord, see, you say to me, bring up

1098. these people, bring up these people, but you

1099. have not let me know whom you will send with

1100. me. Yet you have said, I know you by name, and

1101. you have also found grace in my sight. Now, therefore,

1102. I pray, if I have found favor in your sight,

1103. show me your way, that I may know you, that I

1104. may find grace in your sight, and consider that

1105. this nation is your people. And he said, my presence

1106. will go with you and I will give you rest. Then

1107. he said to him, if your presence does not go

1108. with us, do not bring us up from here. For how

1109. then will it be known that your people and I

1110. have found grace in your sight, except you go

1111. with us? So we shall be separate, your people

1112. and I, from all the people who are upon the face

1113. of the earth. So the Lord said to Moses, I will

1114. also do this thing that you have spoken. For

1115. you have found grace in my sight. And I know

1116. you by name. And he said, please, please, please

1117. show me your glory. Then he said, I will make

1118. all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim

1119. the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious

1120. to whom I will be gracious, and I will have mercy

1121. on whom I will have compassion. That's what compassion

1122. is, mercy. But he said, you cannot see my face,

1123. for no man shall see me and live. And the Lord

1124. said, here is a place by me. And you shall stand

1125. on the rock. Do we see a rock here? Amen? Do

1126. we see the rock? And you shall what? And you

1127. shall stand on what? On the rock. So the terminology

1128. of Jesus Christ is not what? It's not new. Okay?

1129. In fact. Even when Jesus Christ was talking about

1130. a house, that he will hear my word and what?

1131. Matthew 7, right? It's likened unto a man who

1132. do what? Who build his house on what? On a rock.

1133. Okay? That is way because he will not bring out

1134. something from nowhere. And the Lord said, here

1135. is a place by me. and you shall stand on the

1136. rock. So it shall be while my glory passes by,

1137. that I will put you in the cleft of the rock,

1138. and will cover you with my hand while I pass

1139. by. Then I will take away my hand, and you shall

1140. see my back, but my face shall not be seen. Hallelujah.

1141. So, verse 18. Verse 18. Moses asks for something.

1142. Say, please, show me your glory. Show me your

1143. glory. Amen? And the question is, what is glory?

1144. What is the glory that Moses wants to see? You

1145. know, when we were younger, we've been, oh, ignorance

1146. of consumers. We used to pray this prayer, you

1147. know. God, show us your glory. And what we define

1148. as glory was we want to see power. You know?

1149. Moses was asking for power from God. Moses was

1150. asking for a new dimension. He was asking for

1151. a new dimension of operation. And that is how

1152. oftentimes we've interpreted this passage. Moses

1153. requested to see the glory of God. Now, I want

1154. us to pause a little bit and look at who Moses

1155. is. Right? Moses has experienced the power of

1156. God. Do we agree? That Moses have seen the miraculous.

1157. Do we agree? In fact, in the entire scriptures,

1158. right? Nobody. Nobody. has worked in the dimension

1159. of power that Moses has worked in. If it's miraculous,

1160. nobody has performed the miracles that Moses

1161. did. Even Jesus Christ, when he was in earth,

1162. did not do the miracles Moses did. Do you know

1163. why? Okay, let's take one miracle and analyze.

1164. Jesus fed the 5 ,000, right? Moses fed the entire

1165. nation of Israel for 40 years. With bread. Jesus

1166. asked for lots of bread and do the miracle. Moses

1167. commanded the bread to appear for 40 years. Only

1168. men and women above, right? Okay, only men. That's

1169. the census, right? 20 years and above were counted,

1170. right? In the time of Moses. So over 600 ,000

1171. people. Without women and children. For how many

1172. years? For 40 years. Okay. Imagine the magnitude

1173. of miracle that Moses performed. When they were

1174. tasked for water, Moses made water come out of

1175. rock, rock, stone. Water came out of it. Is this

1176. not power? Peter walked on water, right? Moses

1177. separated the sea. People walk on dry ground.

1178. Peter even doubted. Amen? Moses is a dangerous

1179. man. He asked the water to separate. Part in

1180. one end. Let them march until the entire nation

1181. of Israel pass through the Red Sea. Then he turned

1182. and said, we are closed back. This is power.

1183. This is miracle. This is dimension. Let's even

1184. go to Egypt and let's begin to count the things

1185. that he did in Egypt. What was the first thing

1186. he did in Egypt? Let's count it randomly. Please

1187. tell me. What are the plagues? Give us one. Water

1188. in the entire country. He turned it into blood.

1189. What else again? Frogs were everywhere, full

1190. everywhere. What again? Flies and locusts. What

1191. again? Darkness. Imagine you cause the entire

1192. nation to be dark. No sunlight. He controlled

1193. nature. Tell me who in the Bible performed this

1194. kind of miracle apart from Moses? What is again?

1195. Just imagine. That one is the pig. He performed

1196. snake. Came out from his staff. He turned into

1197. snake. All right. What else? I want us to, this

1198. is important in understanding what Moses was

1199. asking for. If you cannot catch this revelation,

1200. then it will be difficult. When we begin to interpret

1201. what that glory is, it's going to be difficult.

1202. He saw the burning bush. In fact, when he encountered

1203. God first, God gave him an appetizer. Say Moses,

1204. throw your stuff on the ground, right? It didn't

1205. turn to snake. Say pick it up, pick it up. This

1206. is stage one. Stage one is burning bush. Fire

1207. was burning, right? And it was not burning. Imagine,

1208. you see fire catching something and then it's

1209. not burning. Moses, let me just turn and see.

1210. Okay? And then leprosy. His hand became leprous.

1211. This one came too close. So if it's power and

1212. the miraculous, even the birth and the survival

1213. of Moses is a miracle. When they were killing

1214. people, killing children, How did Moses survive

1215. that age? Was it ordinary? His survival, he grew

1216. up in the very place where the order to kill

1217. children was made. So Moses is a definition of

1218. what? of the experience of power, of the miraculous,

1219. and even his death was a miracle. Even his death

1220. is a miracle. He died, nobody could know where

1221. his body is. Some contemporary writers, when

1222. they write about Moses, they see him as a mystery.

1223. No wonder when you begin to write the things

1224. you wrote in Genesis, Exodus, sometimes you begin

1225. to wonder what kind of understanding did this

1226. man have? Where did he get this wisdom of writing

1227. the things he wrote? He was not there. He was

1228. not even born. Some of the things he saw, he

1229. wrote. The entire Bible, let me tell you, the

1230. entire scripture. is founded on what Moses wrote.

1231. The writings of Moses is the Bible. If you take

1232. away the writings of Moses, there is no Bible,

1233. there is no Christianity. So this is a man that

1234. I've tested. That's tested. He has experienced

1235. God mightily. You know. We've not even talked

1236. about the tabernacle. Where Moses will climb

1237. up to the mountain and then cloud will cover.

1238. All the mysterious things that happen. In the

1239. wilderness, when some people gang up against

1240. him, the ground open and swallow them up. See,

1241. sometimes I wonder. With the kind of, with the

1242. things you see in this man's life, you're not

1243. scared of Miriam and Cody. We're not scared of

1244. even saying bad things about him. Somebody that

1245. when he comes down, the Bible says that he covers

1246. his face, right? Hallelujah. But Moses requested,

1247. say Lord. Show me what? Show me thy glory. Show

1248. me thy glory. What is this glory? What is this

1249. glory? There was something that he was looking

1250. for to see. I just want you to just begin to

1251. pray. I feel that you just start praying on your

1252. seat. Just speak to God. Open your mouth and

1253. speak to God. Speak to God. Speak to God. What

1254. is your desire? What do you desire? What do you

1255. desire? We look forward to having you with us

  1256. next time. God bless.
