Welcome to NECF. We're thrilled you're here.
-
Make sure to stay with us till the end, where
-
we'll share some great resources to deepen your
-
faith. Now, let's dive into this week's sermon.
-
Hope we've been able to have some time to rest.
-
You know, a time is coming where we will have
-
it on a calm ground. No going home. You'll come
-
with your back and your things. You know, that's
-
where everybody will be. You just go home and
-
rest two minutes and come back. We'll not be
-
closing 5 p .m. We'll be closing like 9 p .m.
-
or 10 p .m. You know, so that all of us will
-
enjoy what God is doing. Praise God. Yes. So
-
we appreciate God for the opportunity to be here
-
and then to continue. Amen. Yes, so I believe
-
revelational knowledge has come to us. Praise
-
God. Hallelujah. We walk in revelational knowledge
-
because it's our reality. Amen. Praise God. The
-
eyes of our understanding has been flooded and
-
it will continue to be flooded with light. Praise
-
God. And we know who we are in Christ Jesus more.
-
And we know the hope of our calling in Christ
-
Jesus. Praise God. Hallelujah. We know what to
-
do regarding the work of faith. Amen. When I
-
say work of faith, I mean W -O -R -K. The work
-
of ministry. Praise God. We know how we ought
-
to conduct ourselves in the things of the supernatural.
-
Praise God. One of the words I received this
-
morning for every one of us is that let's desire
-
to operate more in the supernatural. Let's desire
-
more, desire more, desire more, desire more,
-
desire more, desire more. Let me just put it
-
with an example, just like an example in a way,
-
you know, in the natural, you know, it's not
-
everybody that has desire to be wealthy. You
-
know, some people don't desire to be wealthy.
-
Some people just desire to just be just normal.
-
They don't desire to be on the top list, right?
-
But I tell you, nobody desires to be poor. Nobody,
-
nobody desires. Even Satan mimics wealth, right?
-
Nobody desires to be poor, right? Yes, so everybody
-
desires to have a normal life where you eat,
-
you drink, you live, you move around, and then
-
your needs are met. So that's constant desire
-
to ensure that your account has some small currency
-
inside, right? Always put us on the move to work.
-
So you're either into entrepreneurship or you're
-
working for someone and you're being paid. Right?
-
Yeah, so that desire is there to just leave your
-
bed even when you don't feel like it. And then
-
you're up there in the lecture room 7 a .m. You
-
know, when you're supposed to be resting, you
-
wake up 2 a .m. Till 2 a .m. you're preparing
-
notes. Just so that someone's life can be balanced.
-
Likewise, when it comes to the things of the
-
spirit, desire. Amen. Praise God. Desire, desire,
-
desire. Your desire should never grow cold. Your
-
desire should always be hot on fire. Praise God.
-
Your desire should always be what? Hot on fire.
-
Amen. Praise God. Yes. So yesterday we stopped
-
at the definition of tongues. Praise God. So,
-
we've been discussing about utterance gifts.
-
And we say utterance gifts are gifts that do
-
what? That say something in or by the Spirit.
-
Praise God. Hallelujah. Yes. So, and then in
-
utterance gifts, we have three. What and what?
-
We have tongues. Interpretation of tongues and
-
what? Prophecy. Amen. Hallelujah. Yes. So, we
-
laid some foundation. Even though it's not a
-
foundation, but we build on what others have
-
already laid. Amen? Yeah, so we'll continue from
-
where we stopped. Praise God. Yeah, so we stopped
-
at a definition, right, of tongues. And we say,
-
if you check your notes, we use the word, the
-
Greek word for tongue is the word what? Glosa
-
or lalia, right? Yeah, so here in my notes, I
-
wrote glosa lalia. Just like the word. Amen?
-
Yeah, so glossa or lalia, which refers to a dialect.
-
Even though when you check language, right, in
-
the Greek word is dialectos. Right? You see dialectos.
-
So in speaking, you see a dialect slash language
-
in speaking, talking or uttering words. Amen?
-
Yeah, so tongue in itself is glossa. Right? Tongue
-
in itself is what? Glossa. Lalia, the art of
-
speaking. Dialectos is language, intelligent
-
communication, so that people can understand
-
what you're saying. So what you're hearing me,
-
why you're hearing me and you're understanding
-
what I'm saying, right, is because I'm speaking
-
with an intelligent words that your mind and
-
your hearing, your perception can relate to,
-
right? Yeah, so I'm speaking English language.
-
That's what dialectos is. D -I -A -K -L -E -T
-
-O -S. Right? Yeah, so that is why you're understanding
-
what I'm saying. Praise God. Yeah, so we say
-
tongues, right? Hence, it's a primary supernatural
-
ability in the spirit of the believer. Praise
-
God. Yeah, so tongues is where? In the spirit
-
of the believer. We've learned that Tongues is
-
a diversity of the spirit in the believer. Amen.
-
Hallelujah. So what we mean yesterday, we said
-
diuresis, right? We have a singular thing and
-
then from it, we have separations, right? We
-
have divisions. And then we now taught yesterday
-
contextually from 1 Corinthians, you know, 12
-
verse 7, right? And what did we learn there?
-
We learned that the unveiling of the spirit in
-
the believer, right? When the spirit is made
-
bare, this and much more are the things we see
-
that are made manifest through the believer.
-
Praise God. So we said in verse 8, 9, and 10,
-
to one is giving this and that. To another is
-
giving this, this, this. And we're able to now,
-
you know, discuss it and then check the matter.
-
And we came to a conclusion. Right? That when
-
the scripture said to one, it does not mean he's
-
talking about divisions to individuals. Praise
-
God. So how did we know that from the scriptures?
-
How did we come by that conclusion? All of us,
-
we saw it in the scripture. Praise God. Hallelujah.
-
So, verse 8, 9, and 10. was a demonstrative pronoun,
-
right? To be able to emphasize more about verse
-
7. Hallelujah. Praise God. So, the actor in verse
-
7 is the Holy Ghost. Amen? The main subject in
-
verse 7 is what? Is the Holy Ghost. So, out of
-
the Holy Ghost, now we see givings to the believer.
-
Praise God. So the Holy Spirit is the gift himself.
-
Amen. And so when that gift is open, then we
-
begin to see word of wisdom. Then we begin to
-
see word of knowledge. Then we begin to see the
-
prophetic. Then we begin to see tongues and interpretation
-
of tongues. We see healings. We see walking of
-
miracles and much more. Praise God. Was that
-
clear yesterday? Was it clear yesterday? So,
-
you know. that will actually align with all that
-
we've been learning that the believer has received
-
everything within him. Praise God. So because
-
if we say that it's in portions, then that will
-
contradict all that we've been learning. So big
-
question will be, when will I have my own other
-
portion? Do I need to fast and pray for me to
-
now have the prophetic? Do I need to, you know,
-
some people are still waiting for that day where
-
one atmosphere will just come upon them and then
-
they will begin to pray in tongues. You know,
-
some people are waiting for, he said, why is
-
it that you have not prayed in tongues so far?
-
He said, I'm waiting for that day. Because I
-
know it's not yet my day. Oh, for the believer,
-
it's always your day. Hallelujah. Yes, it's always
-
our day. It's always our day. Always, always,
-
always. We don't wait upon another day to come.
-
Amen? Praise God. Why? Because we have a knowing
-
that we have received of the Spirit of God all
-
things. Praise God. And those things are not
-
in the air. They are within our spirit man. Amen?
-
And out of them, we now see their manifestation.
-
We see their operation. Praise God. So now, having
-
said that, right? Let's read Mark chapter 16
Mark 16 chapter mention
-
again, verse 17. Mark chapter 16, verse 17. Please,
-
don't show this. Thank you. I love you. Thank
-
you. Everybody open your Bible. Mark chapter
Mark 16 chapter mention
-
16. Verse 17, everybody. Verse 17. He said, and
-
these signs will do what? Shall follow them that
-
believe. Hallelujah. And we say, who are the
-
day? The believers, right? Yes. So the believers
-
and Pastor Fred said, even the one that got saved
-
now, praise God, not the one that will get saved.
-
And then we now say, let her on. Your spirit
-
will come. Let her on. Your gifts will, you know,
-
when you come into Christ, you know, you have
-
to take some time. You know how many years I've
-
been in this faith? I've been here for 25 years.
-
And my own king, when I clock 20. My heavens
-
opened. In fact, they used the word breakthrough.
-
My breakthrough opened when I was at 20. That
-
was when I began to speak in new tongues. That
-
was when I began to cast out devils. That was
-
when I took up serpents. That was when I drank
-
deadly things that never hurt me. That was when
-
I laid hands on the sick and they got recovered.
-
At 20 years exactly, not one day extra or one
-
day lesser. You see, the way of God is mysterious.
-
If mine took 20, yours might be 35. No. Praise
-
God. The day you got saved, that day, let me
-
say it strongly, the day you got saved, that
-
day, you have the ability in you to lay hands
-
on the sick and the sick gets healed. Hallelujah.
-
The day you get saved, that day in you, you have
-
the ability to speak with new tongues. Praise
-
God. The day you got saved, that day you can
-
cast out devils. That day, on the spur of the
-
moment. Let me not use the word day so that you
-
not think it is morning you got saved and then
-
night, then the thing is happening. Let me put
-
it this way so that it will be a current reality.
-
At the position where you got saved, as you are
-
standing there or you are seated there, you can
-
cast out the devil. Praise God. Because the spirit
-
of God. It's within you. Amen. So now, he said
-
they cast out devils. They shall speak with what?
-
With new what? With new tongues. Amen. So let's
-
look at Genesis 11 .1. Genesis 11 .1, very first,
-
where it was first mentioned, where tongues was
-
first mentioned. Genesis 11 .1. And we'll see
-
that we understand how it's related to what we
-
are discussing this morning. Genesis 11 verse
-
1. And the whole earth was of one what? One language.
-
Amen. The whole earth was of what? One language.
-
Right? And one speech. And it came to pass as
-
they journeyed from the east that they found
-
a plain in what? In the land of Shinar and they
-
dwelled there three. And they said to another,
-
go let us make brick. and burned them thoroughly,
-
and they had brick for stone, and slime had they
-
for mortar. And they said, Go, let us build us
-
a city and a tower, whose top may reach up unto
-
heaven, and let us make us a name, lest we be
-
scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
-
And the Lord came down to see the city and the
-
tower, with the children of men built it. Six.
-
And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one,
-
and they all have what? What's your Bible say?
-
And they all have what? One language. So Bible
-
underline the word language, right? And this
-
they begin to do and now nothing will be restrained
-
from them which they have what? Imagine. So out
-
of their imagination, they came out with this
-
because they have one what? Language. Seven.
-
Go let us go down and there confound their what?
-
Language that they may not what? Understand.
-
So the first time we are seeing language is being
-
spoken here is relating to understanding. Amen?
-
Yes, so please write it somewhere. Everywhere
-
I see language, language equals to understanding.
-
Language equals to understanding. You can add
-
another equals to again. Edification. Language
-
equals to understanding. You can add another
-
equal today as what? Edification. You know why
-
I asked us to do that. Amen. So the word language
-
in that place, the Hebrew word for that word
-
language is Sapa. It's not Sapa. S -A -P -A.
-
You know, I was going through it. I said, some
-
people say Sapa. No, no, no. It's not Sapa. Amen.
-
S -A what? P -A. Language. The Hebrew word for
-
language from the first time it's mentioned here
-
is what? Sapa. S -A what? P -A. Praise God. And
-
the word speech. You see it says, verse 1 says,
-
and the whole ad was of one language. And of
-
one what? Speech. So you see, in language, there
-
is what? There is speech. There is speaking.
-
Amen. Because once there is no speaking, understanding
-
will not be there. Praise God. So that word speech
-
there. Amen. Is Daba. Daba, which means a mode
-
of communication. Daba is D -A -B -A -R. So we
-
have the word language as supper, right? And
-
then we have what? Speech, daba, which implies
-
what? A mode of communication. Praise God. So
-
we saw the whole earth had a mode of what? Communication.
-
Praise God. They had a mode of what? Communication.
-
There was a manner in which words were uttered.
-
So the key issue about language always is understanding.
-
Amen? Yeah, so every time I come into this place,
-
the only way, if I come here now, I start to
-
speak my dialect, right, from my state. Ah, how
-
many people can understand now? Okay. Maybe he
-
knows one or two things from the past. I don't
-
know whether he can really, you know. When I
-
come here, for example, I say, who can say what
-
I just said now? Oh, I say, what am I saying?
-
You sense of me. Oh, you sense of it. How about
-
unedo dot? Uh -uh. Uh -uh. Uh -huh. So you see,
-
a mode of what? Communication. No understanding.
-
But you see, when people start communicating,
-
right, a mode of communication that is unique
-
to them, what do you expect that will prevail
-
in this understanding? Praise God. Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah. So now, let's see 2 Kings 18, 26.
-
And then let's see again another word language.
-
You realize that everywhere you see language,
-
you'll see what? Understanding. Amen. Everywhere
-
you see language, you'll see what? Understanding.
-
2 Kings 18, 26. Then said Eliakim, the son of
-
Hilkiah and Shepna and Joah and Rapshaka, speak,
-
I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian, in
-
the Syrian language, for we understand it and
-
talk not with us in what? In the Jews language,
-
in the ears of the people that are what? That
-
are on the wall. They want to enter a secret
-
mood. Amen. Speak to us in Syrian language that
-
we may what? Understand. We may understand. Esther
-
1 .22. Esther 1 .22. Somebody should read for
-
us very fast. Can you see? He sent the script
-
to what? To every empire in what? In their own
-
language. And what? And scripts. So if there
-
was anybody that was speaking a different language,
-
right? The scripts was translated in their language,
-
right? So that they could do what? They could
-
understand. Praise God. Amen? So one more and
-
then we move on. Psalms 114 verse 1. Psalms 114
-
verse 1. Psalms 114 verse 1. Are we all here?
-
When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob,
-
a what? From a people of what? Of strange what?
-
Language. A strange language. When Israel went
-
out of Egypt, the house of what? Jacob. A people
-
of what? Strange language. They had a unique
-
language that is different from the societal
-
language. Amen. Praise God. Then add this as
-
extra Isaiah 36, 13, and then you can be able
-
to now put it as an extra reference. I believe
-
people online, they are following us carefully
-
as we go through the scripture. Yes, so the main
-
discourse at the moment is that what? Language
-
connects what? Understanding. Praise God. Hallelujah.
-
So now, we're going to look at very fast what
-
happened because We see in Mark chapter 16. Let's
Mark 16 chapter mention
-
go to Mark chapter 16 again. Don't get tired
Mark 16 chapter mention
-
of going back there because we're going to stay
-
there. Mark chapter 16, 17, it says, in my name,
Mark 16 chapter mention
-
they shall cast out devils and they shall speak
-
with what? New tongues because now tongues have
-
never been experienced on the earth. Amen. Yes,
-
that's never been experienced. So Christ will
-
say upon my resurrection, there will be a new
-
sign that will follow us many that will believe.
-
And one of the signs is that what? In my name,
-
they shall speak what? New tongues. In what I've
-
done in my resurrection, right? The benefit of
-
my resurrection, the significance of my resurrection
-
to them that believe. One of the signs, you remember
-
yesterday we talked about sign, right? Simeon,
-
you remember, right? Yes, we say, what is sign?
-
What is sign? Yes, an indication, right? Yes,
-
an evidence. Amen? Yes, so in my name, one of
-
the evidence that will follow them that believe,
-
right, is that they will speak with what? With
-
other tongues, with new tongues. Praise God.
-
And we see he was telling the disciples now at
-
the moment, right? And then let's go to now Luke
-
now. Luke 24. Let me just jump ahead of myself.
-
Luke 24. Luke 24. Verse 48. And here are witnesses
-
of these things. 49. And behold, I sent the promise
-
of my father upon you, but tarry ye in the city
-
of what? Jerusalem, until ye be endued with what?
-
Power on high. Praise God. That soon. Sorry.
-
The promise is going to be fulfilled upon you.
-
Praise God. And then shortly, we see that happening
-
chapter 2. He said, them that believe, they shall
-
speak with what? With new tongues. Acts chapter
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
2. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come,
-
they were all with one accord in what? In one
-
place. Praise God. And suddenly, there came a
-
what? A sound from heaven as of air. as of a
-
rushing mighty wind and it filled the whole house
-
where they were what? Sitting. Praise God. And
-
there appeared unto them cloven tongues like
-
as of fire and it sat upon each of them. I don't
-
know how they saw it. And they were all filled
-
with what? With the Holy Ghost. And they began
-
to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave
-
them what? Utterance. And these signs shall follow
-
them that what? That belief. In my name, they
-
shall speak with what? With new tongues. And
-
the first time we have seen such an experience
-
happening, right? It's in Acts chapter 2. And
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
in his name, they were all together in one accord,
-
right? And the Holy Ghost gave them utterance
-
as they speak with what? With new tongues. You
-
will never see anywhere, anybody, that experience
-
happen. This is the first time on the earth.
-
That is happening. Praise God. First time. And
-
this happens shortly upon Jesus' resurrection
-
and ascension. Praise God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
-
So we want to understand what is the event. What
-
really happened in Acts chapter 2 because it's
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
important. Amen. That will really help us to
-
build what we are building now. Because whatever
-
we see happening with them in Acts of the Apostles
-
is happening with us now. Praise God. Because
-
the Holy Ghost that is in them is the Holy Ghost
-
that is in us now. Praise God. So now let's start
-
from this way in a way of starting. Right? That
-
they began to speak in other tongues as the Holy
-
Ghost gave them what? Authorance. Because they
-
had the Holy Ghost in them. Amen? Amen? So now
-
we can say conclusively that if they spoke in
-
other tongues as the Holy Ghost gave them utterance,
-
then we also ought to speak in other tongues
-
because the Holy Ghost is giving us what? Utterance.
-
Are we all together on this? Is that an established
-
truth? Is it an established truth? It's established
-
on this understanding because we all believed.
-
Praise God. Hallelujah. Because we all believed.
-
You know, the other lady that came out and then
-
we're saying that we're prayed for now here and
-
then they spoke in tongues. She said, when I'm
-
saying it, it's like I don't understand what
-
I'm saying. I said, that's it. Because we're
-
coming to this place, how does tongue sound?
-
We're going to come to it here. I said, that
-
is it. He said, it's only one, one or two things
-
I'm saying. I said, yes, that's it. You have
-
gotten it. I said, he pointed at Pastor Victor.
-
He said, my own is not like his own. I said,
-
your own will not be like his own because when
-
he started out too, he didn't start out this
-
way. But I told her, I said, you see, in this
-
whole... Nobody started out the way you're seeing
-
them. In the house, I don't spend like 30 minutes.
-
Maybe I'll just say, and then switch to English.
-
I'll just say, I said, that is it. You have gotten
-
it. I said, so what will happen is, be bold about
-
it. As you continue to say, as you continue to
-
pray it out, as you continue to pray it out,
-
you get better at it. You get better at it. You
-
get better at it. You get better at it. You get
-
better. I told her, I cannot remember when I
-
started speaking in tongues. What I uttered,
-
I cannot remember. Let me say something now that
-
happened. So when I was praying with her, We're
-
praying. She now started speaking. She was speaking.
-
I said, yes, be bold. She was taking it. She
-
was taking it. She was taking it. Let me say
-
it now, this way now, right? Her syllables began
-
to change. She was saying it. She was saying
-
it. I said, the way it's happening, that's how,
-
now you're saying, maybe it's two minutes. It's
-
three minutes. Continue. Continue. Continue.
-
It's going to be five minutes. It's going to
-
be 10 minutes. It's going to be 30 minutes. It's
-
going to be one hour. It's going to be, you know,
-
some time ago. We prayed in tongues, right? We
-
prayed, prayed, prayed, prayed, prayed. One hour,
-
two hours, three hours, four hours, five, six,
-
seven, eight, nine, ten hours. Eleven, twelve,
-
thirteen, fourteen hours. How does the song,
-
the sound or the tongue sound? You get it here.
-
Some of you want the tongue to be sweet. You
-
want it to be sounding sweet in your head. You
-
say, you know, I'm in the spirit now. That is
-
when I say, you know, so I think I'm in the spirit
-
now because the things I'm saying is making sense
-
to me. Hallelujah. Praise God. You know, so when
-
I was praying, she said, when I was praying for
-
her, you know, I not got a word, right? One of
-
the things I saw is that I had in my heart. That
-
her mom, right, is into entrepreneurship. And
-
then the dad is a civil servant. I heard it.
-
How? I don't know. By the Spirit. Praise God.
-
And I asked her and she confirmed it. And we
-
prayed regarding the direction, regarding that
-
information that we received. Hallelujah. Praise
-
God. And you know, she's here. And she's willing
-
to pray more in tongues. Hallelujah. Yeah, the
-
other lady too is here. And they are willing
-
today. They are going to pray more in tongues.
-
You know, you're not going to only pray in tongues.
-
You're going to interpret your tongues. Hallelujah.
-
You're going to give us a word of prophecy. The
-
two of you. By the Spirit. Don't be doing like
-
this with your eyes. She's doing like this with
-
her eyes. The same way you spoke in tongues.
-
The ability to prophesy is inside you. Praise
-
God. Let's hear Pastor Kosti. Yesterday you said
-
you'll be serious. And now, this is what you
-
are doing to us. So the first time we see tongues
-
was ever experienced in Acts chapter 2. Amen?
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
Yeah, I'm back to my serious face. Yeah, so the
-
first time we see tongues was ever experienced
-
in what? Acts chapter 2. And what we see, what
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
we see, first that we are seeing, is that the
-
Holy Spirit didn't come to hold. You see, when
-
Christ said that, in my name, They that believe
-
shall speak in new tongues. He didn't say that
-
in my name, I have a system that I will come
-
and take hold of their tongue and begin to pray.
-
No, no, no, no, no, no, no. He didn't say that.
-
And if you see, Jesus was careful with his words.
-
He said, they are the ones that shall speak.
-
However, within them, there will be an ability.
-
Amen. And that's my spirit at work in them. But
-
they are the ones that will do what? That will
-
speak. And we see, because they had Jesus' instructions
-
in detail and carefully. So they knew that they
-
were filled with the spirit of God. And they
-
knew that all trans has been given to them. So
-
what was the next thing that they did? They began
-
to speak. Hallelujah. Praise God. Today you know
-
that the Spirit of God is in you. Hallelujah.
-
And today you know that all trans is given to
-
you. Hallelujah. And what you're supposed to
-
be doing is that you should be participating.
-
Praise God. You should begin to speak. You should
-
begin to prophesy. You should begin to lay house
-
on the sick. You should begin to give word of
-
wisdom. Begin to give word of knowledge. Because
-
you know that the Spirit of God is within you.
-
Hallelujah. So now, verse 4. And they were all
-
filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak
-
with other tongues as the Spirit gave them what?
-
As the Spirit gave them utterance. Praise God.
-
Hallelujah. Now, let's just read a little bit
-
down. Five. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem
-
Jews, devout men out of every nation under heaven.
-
Praise God. Now, when this was noised abroad,
-
the multitude came together and were confounded,
-
confused at what they were saying. Right? The
-
first time they came to that atmosphere, they
-
saw them. That was what was happening. They were
-
first confused. They were confounded. They were
-
confounded. Amen. But now see what happened now.
-
See the next statement. Because that every man
-
had them what? Speak in his own what? Language.
-
The first thing they saw from that atmosphere.
-
You see, in fact, that statement say. It was
-
noise abroad. The people there didn't give us
-
the exact thing that was happening. And information
-
went abroad. But what was the first thing they
-
saw? They had them, they spoke in what? In tongues.
-
Hallelujah. But the next thing that now they
-
began to hear was not tongues again. Praise God.
-
What they had was now they are what? Their language.
-
From what we have discussed over when these statements
-
say they had them speak in their own language,
-
what comes to your mind? So which means what?
-
They understood what they were saying. Praise
-
God. So there was a time where they didn't understand
-
what they were saying. But now later on, they
-
now understand what they were what? They were
-
saying. Praise God. And what were they saying?
-
And they were all amazed and marveled, saying
-
one to another, behold, are all these what? Are
-
not all these words which speak Galileans? And
-
how hear we every man in our own words, language
-
wherein we were born? Praise God. Parthians,
-
right? Medes, Elamites, and dwellers of Mesopotamia,
-
and in Judea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia,
-
Phrygia, Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in parts of
-
Libya, Abbas, Syrian. And strangers of Rome,
-
Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians, we
-
do hear them speak in our tongues. The what?
-
The wonderful works of who? Of God. So what did
-
they hear them speak in their own language? The
-
wonderful works of who? Of God. This is important
-
to what is happening here today. Pay attention.
-
Praise God. Pay attention. So we see a fulfillment
-
of that which Christ has spoken. In Mark chapter
Mark 16 chapter mention
-
16, where we've read in Luke chapter 24, 49,
Luke 24 chapter mention
-
even in Acts chapter 1, verse 8, we see a fulfillment
-
of what Christ instructed them, told them. From
-
it, right? And then in Acts chapter 1 verse 8,
-
you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost
-
has come upon you and you shall be my witnesses.
-
Amen. We see a fulfillment of that scripture
-
upon them in Acts chapter 2. Praise God. So now
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
when we go back to Acts chapter 2, one of the
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
things we started seeing first, he said, and
-
suddenly there came a sound from where? From
-
heaven as of a rushing mighty wind. Amen. That
-
filled the house where they were sitting. And
-
there appeared upon them cloven tongues like
-
as of a what? Fire. Praise God. So we see that.
-
Let's go to Ezekiel chapter 1. We now realize
Ezekiel 1 chapter mention
-
why Luke had to give us this rendition. Ezekiel
Ezekiel 1 chapter mention
-
chapter 1. Ezekiel chapter 1, everybody. Ezekiel
Ezekiel 1 chapter mention Ezekiel 1:3–4
-
chapter 1, verse 3 to 4. The word of the Lord
-
came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son
-
of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the
-
river Chebar. And the hand of the Lord was what?
-
Was there upon him. This discourse will be explained
-
much more later, right? But the hand of the Lord,
-
just talking about the presence of the Lord,
-
was upon him. Amen? Right? And I looked and behold,
-
a wild wind came out of what? Out of the north.
-
Now, that's verse four. Rendition is to be able
-
to say what is happening as the hand of the Lord
-
came. Amen? A wild wind came out of the north,
-
a great cloud and a fire enfolding itself and
-
a brightness was about it and out of the mist
-
thereof, as of the color of amber, out of the
-
mist of what? Out of the midst of fire. And also,
-
out of the midst thereof came the likeness of
-
what? Of four living what? Creatures. What he
-
saw. What he saw as the hand of the Lord did
-
what? Came upon him. Praise God. Then we now
-
see Exodus 19, 16. You see, you now clearly understand
-
why Luke had to be able to paint. Almost similar
-
picture for us here. Exodus 19 verse 16. Thank
-
you, Holy Spirit. And it came to pass on that
-
third day in the morning that there were what?
-
Thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud upon
-
the mount and the voice of the trumpet exceeding
-
loud so that all the people were what? That was
-
in the calm, they were what? They were trembled.
-
Hallelujah. This was at Mount Sinai when the
-
Lord came down. Praise God. Amen. So also what?
-
Saying and depicting the picture of events, supernatural
-
events. Amen. So now this will give us an idea
-
why Luke will have to write or report such a
-
similar event as such. Because Luke was not there
-
when this event happened. Amen. He received a
-
report about that, which we know now in this
-
church about that. Amen? So now, he will now
-
write it. Right? He now went down to write it
-
as such also. He said, let's go back to Acts
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
chapter 2 so that you will now see how now Luke
-
also wrote that. That Acts that we've been reading,
-
don't get tired of because we are going to stay
-
here all day. See now. And he said, and suddenly
-
there came a sound from what? From heaven as
-
a what? As a mighty rushing wind. Does it sound
-
like where we are coming from? Does it look like
-
where we are coming from? Does it look like it?
-
Good now. See now. And it all filled the house
-
where they were what? They were seated. And there
-
appeared unto them cloven tongues as of what?
-
Fire. Does it look like where we are coming from
-
now? Yes. Praise God. So we see that speaking
-
about light and fire, right? That he was writing
-
about was to signify God's presence. He was signifying
-
what? God's presence. An event that is supernatural.
-
Hallelujah. An event that is what? Supernatural.
-
An event that is supernatural. So now Luke will
-
now use figures of speech to be able to now write
-
such a communication. A sound from heaven as
-
of a mighty what? Rushing wind. As of a mighty
-
rushing wind. That word as of implies it wasn't
-
literal. You know, we handle that in the cell
-
meeting teaching. You know, when we say something
-
is literal, what do we mean? Help me out. Allah,
-
Allah. Taking, yes, no hidden meaning. Yes, same
-
way. Praise God. Hallelujah. So, it was not literal
-
from the word as of. It's a figurative statement
-
that implies it wasn't what? Literal. In other
-
words, there was no actual rushing mighty wind.
-
Do you know, actual rushing, it will take the
-
roof off. Amen. That word as of, a mighty rushing
-
wind is a figurative statement. Amen. Because
-
Luke was writing, he was writing. The event that
-
happened. And he had to capture that event within
-
the context of the whole scripture. Praise God.
-
So he could not go and write it out of the scripture.
-
Amen? So we see events like as we've read in
-
Exodus and Ezekiel. And then we see Luke also
-
writing in such a communication. That we see
-
God's presence come into the room. We see these
-
people filled with the spirit of God. And these
-
are... And this and this happening to them. So
-
it happened as a mighty what? Rushing wind. We
-
see thunders. We saw lightnings. We saw earthquakes.
-
Right? And then the voice of God came. Did they
-
actually see earthquake? Amen. So it's like meeting
-
somebody in this room. Right? In the next hours
-
that we're going to be praying. And then the
-
presence of God, feel here the glory of God revealed
-
everywhere. There is so much strength inside
-
us. And we are praying. Then somebody just walks
-
in up here. He said, you know, when I got into
-
this place, you know, there is so much power
-
I saw. I saw lightnings everywhere. I saw fire
-
everywhere. You know, the people will use fire
-
because the energy they saw. Yesterday the man
-
here came. He saw us were praying. He stood by
-
the door and he was doing like this. And I woke
-
up to him. He said, what is this happening? I
-
said, we are praying. And I look, he smiled.
-
He said, where are we? Because they understand
-
more Orthodox and Protestant. He said, where
-
are we? What he meant is that we, what kind are
-
we? Are we Orthodox? We are protesting because
-
they are used to that around here. I told him
-
we're in the middle. He said, oh, he's carrying
-
shit. He's a mix of this. I said, yes. That's
-
the one that his mind can carry. If I begin to
-
explain the Holy Ghost to him, I begin to, you
-
say it's a mighty rushing wind. Someone that
-
will now see that will what? Will pen that event.
-
But you know what they saw? They never saw mighty
-
rushing wind as of. Amen. The next line now,
-
they never saw, they said there appeared unto
-
them cloven tongue as of what? Fire. Never literal.
-
What they saw in that room was just tongues.
-
Praise God. It's just what? Tongues. Hallelujah.
-
Praise God. What they saw is what? Tongues. So
-
we see Luke will now pen that in his writings
-
for us. One amazing, powerful thing is that no
-
one in that room was exempted from that experience.
-
Hallelujah. Everybody in that room spoke in other
-
tongues to validate Jesus' statement that upon
-
whom That believe, whosoever believe in my name,
-
they shall speak with what? With new tongues.
-
Everyone that was in that room spoke in what?
-
In tongues. Tongues is for everyone that believes.
-
Praise God. Everyone that believes. They were
-
all filled with the Holy Ghost and they speak
-
and they began to speak with what? With other
-
tongues, as the Spirit gave them what? Utterance.
-
So, verse 2 and 3. Amen. Are you all with me?
-
Verse 2 and 3 just describes their experience
-
of being filled with the Spirit of God. And that
-
experience is speaking in tongues. Verse 2 and
-
3. Right? Mighty rushing winds, as of a fire.
-
Right? Describes their what? Their experience.
-
And what is the experience? What is the experience?
-
They were all speaking with what? With other
-
tongues as the Spirit gave them what? Authorance.
-
Probably one of these meetings, one of these
-
days you have had an experience. Let me say it
-
now as I'm just passing by as an example. Maybe
-
you just... You're praying, you're praying, you're
-
praying. Suddenly, like something changed inside
-
you. Like gears have changed. And then there
-
was this energy that just surged inside you.
-
There was this strength that surged inside your
-
inner man. From nowhere, you increased the tempo.
-
You increased the tempo. It's increasing. It's
-
increasing. Someone saw that. You knelt down.
-
And you kept praying. You kept praying fervently.
-
Somebody will come in there and see that experience.
-
And say, you know when I saw praise? Prince was
-
just shaking. There was this shaking all around
-
him. Let him say, I saw him praying in tongues,
-
straight. He said, there was this shaking, shaking,
-
shaking. You know, he knelt down. He was just
-
shaking. He was shouting, to all the gods. He
-
was shaking, you know. And he stood up and began
-
to prophesy to everybody in the room. You see,
-
all these things were all to describe what? The
-
posture of his prayers. The experience. So verse
-
2 and 3. Right? Was to describe what? The experience.
-
In verse what? In verse 4. Amen? And that experience
-
is that what? They were speaking in what? In
-
tongues. And all of them were speaking in tongues.
-
All of them. All of them. I keep saying it. All
-
of them spoke in what? In tongues. All of them.
-
This is why I'm saying that. All of them spoke
-
in tongues because all of them believed. So everyone
-
that believes. These signs also what? Follow
-
them. Are we all here? Are we all here? So the
-
spirit gave them utterance as all of them what?
-
Speak. Praise God. That word gave in verse 4.
-
That word gave means didomai. That word gave.
-
D -I -D -O -M -I. Didomai. Or didomi. I don't
-
know. It's not my language. Didomai. Gave. That
-
word gave. Didomai. You know, you understand
-
why. Everything that we are doing here, please
-
pay attention to it. Didomai. That word gave.
-
And it means to offer unconditionally. To give
-
unconditional supply for one's advantage. Didomai
-
is to what? To give unconditionally, right? For
-
one's advantage. To supply to one unconditionally
-
for his what? For his advantage. Praise God.
-
So the Holy Ghost gave them utterance for their
-
what? Advantage. The believer has utterance from
-
the Holy Ghost as his what? Advantage. Unconditional.
-
When we say something is unconditional, it means
-
that you never worked for it. You never worked
-
for it. There is nothing you have done to earn
-
it. Praise God. So the Holy Spirit supplied utterance
-
unconditionally. And they understood that there
-
is a supply. What is the next thing they began
-
to do? They began to speak. Praise God. So we
-
have received from the Father His Spirit unconditionally
-
that we may know all the things that have been
-
freely what? Given to us. So what we are going
-
to do? We are going to jump at it and participate
-
and enjoy it. Hallelujah. Because it's for our
-
advantage. Praise God. So that word didomai,
-
it means what? Unconditional. An unconditional
-
supply for one's advantage. So in other words,
-
we say the spirit received within the believer
-
gave them unconditional supply of utterance.
-
He gave them unconditional supply of what? Of
-
utterance. Praise God. And then we see, that
-
is why we see Luke will refer to this experience
-
as that it is given and what? And received. Praise
-
God. So when you give something, what happens?
-
On the other side, it has to be what? Received.
-
Praise God. So these men were filled with the
-
Holy Ghost. They know the Holy Ghost has given
-
them what? Utterance. And they have already what?
-
Received it. So what will they do? They operate
-
in it. Praise God. Let me say something now because
-
so that, you know, your mind can relate with
-
it. Don't laugh. Imagine you just woke up to
-
this conference now. Unconditionally. You are
-
a student. And then just by the downstairs, You
-
met me, right? And I say, oh, Samantha, you're
-
looking good. How are you? Fine. I say, you see
-
that Range Rover Vela? This morning, I just came
-
with it and the key is yours. Ha! He said, sir,
-
eh? I said, no, no, no, I'm serious. He said,
-
Papi, see, I've come again. This is your joke.
-
And then I take the papers. I show you. You see
-
your name. You see your surname. You see all
-
the documents of the car. It's yours. Now you
-
see, her mind can relate. Even though you don't
-
have a driver's license, you now rush up, pray
-
as what's going on, you didn't care. Whether
-
prayers was going on or not, you didn't care.
-
You look for Kolade because you know he has driver's
-
license. He said, come and drive me. Let me test
-
this car. And then now, instead of testing the
-
car, you ask him to go and park it in your house.
-
And you carry the key. You ask a taxi to drop
-
you. I'm taking it extreme now so that you understand
-
something. To take you to Kyrenia, you go to
-
the beach and throw the key into the ocean. And
-
you come back home. And then you go about saying,
-
Sir, do you know that I have a Range Rover? And
-
when you were saying this, both of you are inside
-
school bus. Nobody will believe you. So the only
-
way we will believe you that you received an
-
unconditional gift of a Range Rover, right? Is
-
that when we see you, even though you don't have
-
the license, right? but there's somebody driving
-
you. And then, you know, in Africa, I don't know
-
who told us that sitting at the back, it means
-
it's owner's corner. I don't know. I don't know
-
who told us that. You know, it has caused so
-
much problem. I don't know who told us that it's
-
when you sit close on the right side, it means
-
that the car is yours. Okay, let's assume she's
-
from Africa. She sat on the right side. You know,
-
so when she comes and says, sir, you know, You
-
know, last week I got a gift. I never, in fact,
-
you say, where is this? I say, yeah. In fact,
-
you know, she will not even, she will come and
-
drag Pastor Victor. She will drag everybody to
-
come and see it. Why did I make this? I say this.
-
She believed that what has been given, she has
-
already what? Received and is hers. You know,
-
if it's somebody, somebody like me can do it.
-
I can go to this, I will walk with the car papers
-
in my pocket. I've received it. It's mine. Hallelujah.
-
It's what? It's mine. I'm not keeping it anywhere.
-
I'm using it around the city. So it is. What
-
Luke wrote is that something was given to them
-
and they did what? And they received it. They
-
didn't hide it. They showed it. They manifested
-
it. They acted upon it. Praise God. Everything
-
you have received from the Holy Ghost, everything
-
you have received from Jesus is not to be hidden.
-
It's not to be kept. It's to be what? It's to
-
be shown. The scripture just came to my head
-
now. 1st Peter chapter 2 verse 9. But yea, a
-
chosen generation, royal priesthood, and a holy
-
nation. 2 verse 9. A peculiar people that yea
-
shall show forth the praises of him who hath
-
called you out of darkness into his what? Into
-
his marvelous light. Show forth to display so
-
that he can meet the eyes. Oh, let me say it
-
as it's coming to my spirit. Now, the things
-
of the spirit ought to be displayed. They are
-
a sign and signs are not hidden. Have you ever
-
located a place and then that place, they say,
-
I'm going to Kyrenia and in Kyrenia, I'm looking
-
for so -and -so place. Do you have the, what
-
and what can I use? He said, no, just walk on
-
the road. When you arrive there, you will know.
-
Never. So tongues ought to be displayed. Interpretation
-
of tongues ought to be what? Displayed. Prophecy
-
ought to be what? Displayed. Laying on of hands
-
ought to be what? Displayed. Word of wisdom ought
-
to be what? Displayed. Do you see what I mentioned
-
here? She never cared whether we were praying
-
or not. All that she's concerned is that she
-
has received something. Hallelujah. When it comes
-
to the supernatural, don't care. Don't care.
-
Don't care. Don't care. Don't care. All that
-
matters is that show it forth. Show it forth.
-
Show it forth. Don't keep it inside. Hallelujah.
-
Don't do what? Because you have received it and
-
it's yours. Say it's mine. Say it's mine. The
-
Holy Ghost dwells in me and all his gifts is
-
mine. Hallelujah. So we saw him recorded that.
-
Amen. Hallelujah. Praise God. We have an advantage,
-
right? So that word utterance. He said he gave
-
them what? Utterance. So something unconditional
-
was given, right? And then what was given that
-
was unconditional? Utterance. So what is utterance
-
now? Let's look at that word. We are still in
-
Acts chapter 2. Utterance. That word utterance
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
is from the Greek word aptegomai. A -P -P -H
-
A -P -P -H T -H -E Don't worry, I'm going to
-
say it a couple of times. A -P -P -H -T -H -E
-
-G -G -O -M -I. A -P -P -H -T -H -E -G -G -O
-
-M -I. And this word implies a kind of speaking.
-
A kind of speaking. A kind of speaking. That
-
refers to an elevated discussion. A kind of speaking,
-
which is what? An elevated discussion. A kind
-
of speaking, which is an elevated what? Discussion.
-
It's contrasting our everyday discussion, you
-
know, the way we are speaking English language
-
now. This kind of speaking is not our everyday
-
what? Discussion. It's an elevated kind of discussion.
-
People that are doing computer language, you
-
know, we have programming languages, right? Right?
-
Is it not? So we have codes. Yeah, you heard.
-
Right? So when we do the codes and codes, only
-
people that have been trained in the codes can
-
understand it, right? It's a kind, it's an elevated
-
kind of discussion. Praise God. It's an elevated
-
what? Kind of what? Not a normal day discussion.
-
Praise God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So these
-
people received that from the Holy Ghost. He
-
gave them what? Alterance unconditionally. He
-
gave them an elevated kind of discussion. We're
-
going to look at that in 1 Corinthians 14. You
-
understand why it has to be an elevated discussion.
-
A discussion that the mind, the normal mind cannot
-
be able to watch. I gave us an example, just
-
a lower version of the example with my tribe
-
or with my dialect. However, some of you sense
-
on me. Right? But when I now move higher, you
-
cannot catch up. Right? So the believer has received
-
from the Holy Ghost. Let me put it this way,
-
the way it's coming to my spirit. A God kind
-
of language. A God kind of language that permits
-
him to have an elevated discussion with the Father.
-
You have an ability that is God's kind. A kind
-
of speaking that is only common to you and the
-
Father. Praise God. Hallelujah. So, where we
-
have read, are we all here, everybody? Are we
-
all here? Yes. So, are we all here together?
-
Praise God. So, Acts chapter 2 now. Where we've
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
read, there were a couple of people that were
-
there. One of the things we see in verse 6, Acts
-
chapter 2, verse 6. Now, when this was noise,
-
I brought the multitude, came together, and they
-
were confounded, because that every man had them
-
speak in his own, what? Language. Verse 7 now.
-
And they were all amazed, and marveled, saying
-
one to another, Behold, are not all these we
-
speak, what? Galileans, and then the communication
-
continues. Amen? But the first thing that we
-
saw here is that they were all what? Confounded.
-
Praise God. All the people that were there that
-
heard them were confused because they heard them
-
speak, right? In tongues. Amen? Amen? But let's
-
turn. They now heard them speak again in their
-
own what? In their own language. And they were
-
all amazed. What did they hear? They were speaking
-
the wonderful works of who? The wonderful works
-
of who? Of God in verse 11. Amen. Yeah, so that
-
is what we see happening in Acts chapter 2. Praise
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
God. So these people will not have just come
-
there and see them speaking in tongues and they
-
imagine that these people are speaking our language.
-
So, for example, when I come, Please, in this
-
room, this language is for who? It's from whose
-
tribe? Whose tribe? Whose tribe? Who understood
-
what I just did now? That is your tribe. So,
-
you see? That's the spirit. So, imagine now,
-
they say, everybody around the world. came. And
-
then they came and then it was noise abroad.
-
Rekapalada, Jabalagada, Irabalada, everybody.
-
Elevated discussion. High -end discussion. Ayakapalada.
-
And then everybody, hey, he's speaking Galilean.
-
Hey, he's Jew. Hey, this is Medes. And they were
-
just 120. So how could 120 speak all the languages
-
around? Praise God. Something must have happened
-
by the Spirit in that atmosphere. For them to
-
be able to decipher and hear and understand that
-
these people are speaking our own words, language.
-
And what they are saying is what they are declaring
-
the wonderful works of who? Of God. Praise God.
-
Are we all here? Are we all here? Are we using
-
our brain? Is it getting clearer? Praise God.
-
Perfect. Now. What we see, 1 Corinthians 14 verse
-
2. 1 Corinthians 14 verse 2. 1 Corinthians 14.
-
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh
-
not unto what? Not unto man. Hallelujah. But
-
unto who? But unto God. This same tongue Jesus
-
said in my name, if you believe you shall speak
-
in new what? In new tongues. Acts chapter 2,
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
we are seeing the first experience, right? And
-
then now we are seeing Paul writing here in 1
-
Corinthians 14 verse 2. He's saying that when
-
you speak this kind of speaking, you are not
-
speaking unto men. You are speaking unto who?
-
Unto God. He said, for no man will what? Understand.
-
How be it in the spirit. Pastor Victor said spirit.
-
How be it in the spirit he speaketh what? Mysteries.
-
Praise God. Why? Because tongues are unintelligent
-
communication to the human mind. They are what?
-
Unintelligent what? Communication to the human
-
mind. Praise God. Unintelligent communication.
-
So, What will Paul write? Since they are unintelligent
-
communication to the human mind. 1 Corinthians
-
14, 14. He said, for if I pray in an unknown
-
tongue, my spirit, what? Prayed. But my understanding
-
is what? Fruitful. How be it no man understand
-
what? It. So my understanding. You remember we
-
are coming from language, right? And we say everywhere
-
there is language, the next thing we should see
-
is what? Is understanding. But we can see Paul's
-
writing. He said that when I speak in tongues,
-
I speak unto God. So when we say I speak unto
-
God, so what does he mean? So which means what?
-
God understands. How be it? No man will do what?
-
Understand what I'm saying. For in the spirit,
-
I pray. And what I'm praying is mysteries. You
-
understand why we say it's mysteries. Hallelujah.
-
So what is happening in Acts chapter 2? As the
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
Holy Ghost gave them utterance, when people come
-
there, they will not what? Understand them. But
-
later on, they understood them, speaking in their
-
own language. And they say, hey, these people
-
are speaking in our own language. And what they
-
are declaring is the wonderful works of who?
-
Of God. So something must have happened for their
-
mind to understand that communication. Praise
-
God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Are we all here?
-
So the only way the human mind can understand
-
tongues when it is uttered is when it is interpreted.
-
The only way the human mind can understand praying
-
in tongues is when it is what? Interpreted. Hallelujah.
-
That is when understanding comes. That is when
-
understanding comes. That is when understanding
-
comes. The only way the human mind can understand
-
such an elevated discussion is when it is what?
-
When it is interpreted. So, you can put it this
-
way. Autorants or tongues, put it this way, tongues
-
plus interpretation is equal to prophecy. Tongues,
-
Plus interpretation is equal to what? Prophecy.
-
Put it this way. You know why I said that. So
-
at this point now, which means the human mind
-
what? Understands. So the human mind can receive
-
and understand what has been uttered. Are we
-
all here? So you know Jesus said in Mark chapter
-
16 verse 17. Let's go there. Mark chapter 16
-
verse 17. Let's go back there. All this while
-
we've been talking about tongues. Amen. About
-
what? About tongues. Mark chapter 16 verse 17.
-
And these signs shall follow them that believe
-
in my name. Shall they cast out what? Devils.
-
They shall speak with what? New tongues. If it's
-
your Bible, underline the word new. The word
-
new is from the Greek word kainos. Kainos. K
-
-A -I -N -O -S. Kainos. Which means novel, uncommon,
-
unheard of. Kainos. Something novel. Something
-
novel. Uncommon. Unheard of. And it means that
-
prior to this time, such a language had never
-
been heard. Kainos, novel, uncommon, unheard
-
of, which implies that prior to this time, such
-
a language had never been what? Heard or spoken.
-
Never. New tongues. A kind of speaking that has
-
never been heard. A kind of speaking. That has
-
never been spoken. Hallelujah. Praise God. So.
-
When we say something has never been heard. Or
-
spoken. And it's new. Kainos. It means that.
-
The day you start speaking it. Nobody taught
-
you. Hallelujah. The only way. We have a student
-
becomes a teacher. A professor becomes, let me
-
use the word, a student becomes a professor is
-
that another professor must what? Must have taught
-
him. And that professor received that teaching
-
also from another professor. For example, our
-
father, we call him our father, my professor.
-
It happens that we happen to be among his last
-
children. In his three of professorial cadre,
-
he's an emeritus. We happen to be out in the
-
last generation. Right? Maybe he might have one
-
more generation. Right? Because he's already,
-
oh, he's 80 something now. Getting to 90. I saw
-
him, one of his students. She became professor
-
since she was, maybe, as of when I was reading
-
her. She was, I think, 40 -something. And she
-
was already tired of being a professor. She had
-
become a professor maybe when she was 32, 33.
-
And so when I was reading her website, she has
-
already raised people that are already professors.
-
So we can't call that a new thing. Amen? So when
-
I had a professor come out of me, I can't call
-
it a what? A new thing. You see? Already, for
-
example, I'm also on the way of raising professors
-
in a short time. I can't call it a what? A new
-
thing. Because it's already heard. It's something
-
that is common. It's not novel. I have 10 professors.
-
Go and see them. It's not novel. So, but you
-
see, what Jesus is saying here is that it has
-
never what? It has never been heard. It has never
-
been what? And let me say it. When Christ spoke
-
this statement, he didn't say that you're going
-
to learn it. Do you know what I said? He didn't
-
say that you're going to what? Learn it. He said,
-
let's read it this way. And he said, in my name,
-
they shall cast out devils and they shall learn
-
how to speak in new tongues. Is that what the
-
scripture says? He said, they shall do what?
-
They shall speak. The complete curriculum is
-
inside you. You will just speak it. You will
-
not learn it. By the Spirit, you will do what?
-
You will speak it. It has never been heard. It
-
has never been seen. It has never been spoken.
-
But that experience is going to happen to you
-
on the spot. Hallelujah. How will it happen?
-
By the ability of the Holy Ghost in you. So the
-
Holy Ghost inside you is not coming to begin
-
a day. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. He said, you're
-
not learning it. Then they will now write a quiz
-
and you get zero. If you are from my kind of
-
primary school, they will now put E on the zero.
-
You know, and put big, big I. So that the thing
-
will pay you. You will not be afraid to take
-
it home. Because you know, when you take it home,
-
You know what you will receive back? No, no,
-
no, no, no, no, no. That's not the kind of experience.
-
What Jesus was saying or he's saying is that
-
you're going to receive it. It will be given
-
to you and you will receive it and you will what?
-
You will act on it. Simple. Hallelujah. That's
-
uncommon. Novel. It comes to you and it's not
-
to be learned. You know, when I was in the university,
-
there was a place, I will not say the name of
-
the church. When you go there, they say school
-
of tongues and something, something. When you
-
go there, they say shabalaga, shabalaga. Everybody
-
will do shabalaga, shabalaga. Okay, let's say,
-
let's do it. That's human tongues. It's not the
-
Holy Ghost. That is human giving men utterance.
-
Praise God. The kind we are speaking about is
-
the one that is not learned. That's why when
-
I was speaking yesterday with my sister here.
-
Sorry, I have to keep this. You know we're going
-
to pray more today in tongues, right? You know,
-
right? Yes. I love you. I'm going to walk closely
-
with you. You and the other sister. Two of you
-
are going to walk closely. Today, all of us are
-
ministry partners. Praise God. Hallelujah. Are
-
we reading that? So hence, they were all filled
-
with what? With the Holy Ghost. So what was happening?
-
In Acts chapter 2 verse 4, it's supernatural.
-
Praise God. Never natural. Have you seen yesterday
-
I said something? All that we've discussed from
-
Pastor Fred, to Pastor Victor, to Pastor Emmanuel,
-
to now. Have you seen anything natural about
-
it? All of them are what? Supernatural. Salvation,
-
supernatural. Laying on of hands, supernatural.
-
Yesterday, Pastor Emmanuel introduced supernatural.
-
Amen? We are building. Supernatural. The life
-
of the believer is what? Supernatural. So we
-
see in Acts chapter 2. Let's go there. The people
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
that were present there. The people that were
-
present there. In Acts chapter 2. Are we all
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
5. And they were all dwelling at what? Jerusalem.
-
Devote men out of every nation under what? Heaven.
-
Now when this was noise I brought them all two
-
came together and they were confounded because
-
that every man what? Had them speak in his own
-
language and they were all amazed and marveled
-
saying one to another behold another all these
-
which speak Galileans and how here we man in
-
our own language wherein we were born. 9 now.
-
Are we all there? We're going to stop at 11.
-
Patience. Medes, Elamites, dwellers in Mesopotamia
-
and in Judea, Cappadocia, in Pontus and in Asia,
-
Phrygia, Pamphylia, in Egypt and in the parts
-
of Libya, about Cyrene, strangers of Rome, Jews
-
and what? Proselyte, Cretans, Arabians, we do
-
hear them speak in our own words, tongues, the
-
wonderful works of who? Of God. So we see all
-
of these people, we see the Jews, are what? Proselytes.
-
So, what do we see? Who are proselytes? Just
-
quickly learn it so that you write it because
-
it may not be part of the book. Let's write it
-
so that it will help us. So that as it's coming
-
to my heart, whether you're from a Pentecostal
-
church or you're from Protestant or Orthodox
-
or any part of the branching, everyone ought
-
to speak in tongues. Hallelujah. Praise God.
-
Because it's scripture. Amen? Amen? So who are
-
proselytes? Proselytes are non -Jews who converted.
-
Right? They are what? They are non -Jews. Who
-
what? Who converted. They learned the Jewish
-
language. Right? And they now were converted.
-
So in essence, they naturalized. So you have
-
learned Turkish language, learned Turkish language,
-
learned Turkish language, you can speak it now.
-
Then one of these days, you make up your mind
-
to naturalize. Because you don't like what you're
-
hearing about your country. It will never change
-
because I had that, what had been happening many,
-
many years, even before we came. So it's a system,
-
it's a cycle. So they are converts, right? They
-
are converts to the Jewish faith. So, we now
-
see that this event that happened and we see
-
everybody gathered. Are we all here? In Acts
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
chapter 2, it's not that these men had them speaking
-
some sort of languages or their own native language,
-
right? So what we see that all these nations
-
that are listed were referenced to different
-
places of the residence of Jews. You understand
-
why? All these places. It's not that we have,
-
where is it from? Patians, Medes, Elamites, dwellers
-
in Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, Asia.
-
No, no, no, no. It's giving different locations
-
where the Jews were what? were settled. Because
-
at this point now, because they came at the day
-
of Pentecost, right? Yeah, they were all gathered
-
at the day of what? Pentecost. So all of them
-
came back for celebration. Praise God. So and
-
from the different locations where all of them,
-
you know, so this gathering were just a gathering
-
of Jews and proselytes. Proselytes are what?
-
Converts. Amen? So everybody, so they didn't
-
only learn Jewish language, but they also embraced
-
Jewish traditions. Right? So everybody came back
-
home for the what? For the day of what? Pentecost.
-
Amen? And they were all gathered. So that is
-
why now you will see, for example, right? In
-
Acts chapter 2 verse 14, but Peter standing up
-
with the eleven, lifted up his voice and said
-
unto them, Ye men of what? Judea and all ye that
-
dwell at Jerusalem. Be... These known unto you
-
and hearken to my what? And hearken to my what?
-
Words. He said, yea, men of Israel. Hear these
-
words. See Acts chapter 2 verse 22. See 22. Yea,
-
men of Israel. Hear these words. He was addressing
-
all of them, Jews. Yea, men of Israel. Jesus
-
of Nazareth, a man approved of God way. Among
-
you. In 29. Acts 2 29. Men and what? Brethren.
-
He addressed them as what? Brethren. That word
-
brethren means we have done it here. Right? Adelphos.
-
Which implies from the same womb. From the same
-
lineage. So Peter will rise and address all of
-
them. Ye men of what? He said, my people, brethren.
-
He said, my own. So we see all of them that were
-
gathered were what? Jews. They came back home.
-
Hallelujah. So the audience that we see that
-
were around the 120 were what? Were Jews. Praise
-
God. Hallelujah. Are we all here? Just a minute,
-
please. Let me just establish something. I need
-
to check my notes. Okay. So now, when we see
-
now, we stop at, he was talking about brethren,
-
right? Adelphos. Are we all there? Are we all
-
there? Perfect now. So we say that the men that
-
gathered all around at the day of Pentecost,
-
right, were Jews and proselytes. So the different
-
places that were mentioned, what he was talking
-
about, they are what? Their location. Where all
-
of them were. Yemen of Israel. men and brethren,
-
to address them as his own people. Right? So,
-
but question is, how is it that they say that
-
we heard them speak in our own words, in our
-
own language, in our own tongue? Amen? Yeah,
-
so, what happened? 1 Corinthians 14 verse 2,
-
we say, for he that speaketh, we've read it,
-
1 Corinthians 14 verse 2. We say, for he that
-
speaketh in an unknown tongue, You see, when
-
Luke wrote this, he didn't tell us that there
-
was an interpreter that interpreted what was
-
said. The people just, he just wrote that they
-
all said, these people are speaking, we hear
-
them speak in our own words. In our own language.
-
And what they are saying is that they are declaring
-
the what? The wonderful works of who? The wonderful
-
works of God. So now, it's important for us.
-
And we've read 1 Corinthians 14 verse 5. Let's
-
go there everybody. Please don't lose the line
-
of thought because we are talking about tongues.
-
1 Corinthians 14 verse 5. I would that ye all
-
speak with what? With tongues. But rather that
-
ye what? Prophesy. For greater is he that prophesied
-
than he that speaketh with what? With tongues.
-
Except he interprets. Who interprets? The speaker.
-
That the church may receive what? Edification.
-
So, we now see. Are we all there? Are we all
-
there? So we now see now, when Peter stood up
-
now, have you read 1 Corinthians 14 now? For
-
he that prayed in other tongues should also what?
-
Interpret the tongues so that the church can
-
be what? Edified, right? Acts now, let's go back
-
to Acts chapter 2. And then now let's see what
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
Peter will rise and say in Acts chapter 2 verse
-
14. But this is that which was spoken by prophet
-
Joel. Joel 2 .28 Joel 2 .28 Joel 2 .28. I will
-
there. See Joel 2 .28. He said that this was
-
what was spoken by prophet what? A fulfillment
-
of what prophet Joel spoke. And he came and he
-
shall come to pass after what? After what? That
-
I'll pour out of my spirit upon all flesh. and
-
your sons and daughters shall what? Prophesy
-
your old men shall, your young men shall, and
-
also upon the servants and upon the handmaids
-
in those days will I pour out of my what? Spirit.
-
Amen? So now, having said that, now let's go
-
back to Acts so that we continue reading our
-
conversation. In Acts chapter 2 now. He said,
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
but this is that which was spoken by who? By
-
prophet Joel. Right? And when we go to 17. And
-
it shall come to pass in the last days. Is that
-
what was spoken? Said God, I will pour out of
-
my spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and daughters
-
shall. And your young men shall see visions.
-
And your old men shall dream dreams. And upon
-
my servants and upon my handmaidens. I will pour
-
out in those days out of my spirit. And they
-
shall what? Prophesy. So what do we see, right?
-
Is that what? By the Spirit of God, all these
-
are made possible. Praise God. Hallelujah. So
-
the how of prophecy, right? You know, he said,
-
they shall prophesy. So we now see tongues and
-
interpretation of tongues. We are coming to it
-
now, clearly now. You know, I told us to write
-
somewhere. There's somewhere that you wrote tongues
-
plus interpretation is equal to what? Prophecy.
-
You wrote it somewhere, right? Good. Perfect.
-
So, we see that what? Tongues. We see prophecy,
-
right? Or we see tongues and interpretation of
-
tongues becoming what? Prophecy. From where we
-
read in 1 Corinthians chapter 14. Don't worry.
1 Corinthians 14 chapter mention
-
We'll be going back there and becoming. We'll
-
be going back there. I will that, verse 5, that
-
ye all speak with what? But rather that ye So
-
tongues and interpretation of tongues is what?
-
That the church may be what? So every time prophecy
-
is given, it's so that we are what? Edified.
-
Every time tongues and interpretation of tongues
-
comes, it's so that we are what? Edified. So
-
do you see why I said? Tongues and interpretation
-
of tongues is prophecy. Are we all clear? Are
-
we all clear? Okay, praise God. Hallelujah. So
-
we now see that after saying all these things,
-
then it will be that on that day of Pentecost,
-
where the 120 were gathered, right? And they
-
spoke in tongues, both men and women, and they
-
heard them declaring the works of God. What will
-
be happening? There will be tongues and what?
-
Interpretation of what? Of tongues. You know,
-
we read from 1 Corinthians 14 that the one that
-
speaks in tongues should also interpret the word
-
so that the hearers are what? Edified. Praise
-
God. So now, on that day in Acts chapter 2, the
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
Jews or the men of Israel, as they heard first,
-
they said they were confounded. Right? But later
-
on, they say, oh, we heard them speak in our
-
own what? Language. And what they are saying,
-
they are declaring the what? Oh, glory. Oh, they
-
are declaring the wonderful works of God. We
-
can hear them declaring it. The hearers are now
-
what? Edified. On the first, they were confounded.
-
But later on, they are edified. Hallelujah. Why?
-
Because interpretation what? Has taken precedence.
-
So we see. What Christ has said. They shall speak
-
with what? With new tongues. Happening in Acts
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
chapter 2. But much more was also happening.
-
That they were not only speaking in tongues.
-
But they were also what? Interpreting the tongues.
-
Hallelujah. Can you say I speak in tongues? I
-
also interpret the tongues. And the church is
-
edified. Say, I bring edification. I bring edification
-
to my brothers and sisters. Hallelujah. Praise
-
God. Are we all here? Are we all here? So having
-
said all these things now, who should speak in
-
tongues? Answer. Huh? All? Okay, now. Further.
-
I love this class. I love this class. All believers.
-
Right? Because we see. The 120, all of them did
-
what? Spoke in tongues. None was missing. Praise
-
God. None was what? Was led. So who should speak
-
in other tongues? And we say, how many believers?
-
And you see, when they were there, in Acts chapter
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
1, let's go to Acts chapter 1. Me, I think these
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
tongues is only for men. I think it's for pastors.
-
You know, the way I saw Pastor Fred was praying.
-
I know this thing must be a special gift. This
-
all continued with one accord. Acts chapter 1
-
verse 14. This all continued with one accord
-
in prayer and supplication. With who? With who?
-
With who? With the women and Mary, the mother
-
of who? And with his what? And with his brethren.
-
Hallelujah. Was there anyone left? Was there
-
in Acts chapter 2 verse 1. And when the day of
-
Pentecost was fully come. They were all. They
-
were all. They were all. Men and women were all.
-
All of them spoke in tongues. All of them interpreted.
-
Hallelujah. And the audience had them declare
-
the wonderful works of God. And through your
-
mouth today. The wonderful works of God will
-
also be declared. Praise God. Praise God. Praise
-
God. Praise God. You see that place in Mark chapter
Mark 16 chapter mention
-
16. There was no place where Christ said some
-
set of special people are going to speak in new
-
tongues. He said in my name and this I shall
-
follow them that what? That believe in my name
-
they shall cast out devils. They shall speak
-
with what? Who are the day? Who are the day?
-
Who are believers? Who are believers? Huh? Me,
-
yes. Who will believe us again? All, all, all,
-
all. Same men and women. Everybody. Yes, me,
-
yes. Me, you. But now you don't understand what's
-
happening. But in a short time you will understand.
-
Now he can only say me. He does not know what
-
the me is. You know. His brother is saying yeah,
-
yeah, yeah. So. They don't understand what's
-
happening. But somebody like exploit understandings.
-
Praise God. Hallelujah. Somebody like what? Exploit.
-
You know, yesterday I was praying for her and
-
I was telling her somewhere there. I said, when
-
you see your friends, you know you can lay hands
-
on them and get them filled with the Spirit of
-
God. And so I was praying for her here. I was
-
also telling her, praise God. Some of you are
-
coming late, but you came early at the same time.
-
Because as you're hearing it now, it's so that
-
you can correct things later. Paul told Timothy,
-
he said, from your young age, from tender age,
-
those things that you have been taught, those
-
things that you have learned, From what? From
-
tender age. So which means that from a young
-
age we can learn these things. You're a father
-
here. You're a mother here. Right? It's not always
-
cocoa melon. Cocoa, cocoa. Giddy, giddy, giddy,
-
giddy. Giddy, giddy, giddy, giddy. He said this
-
is what they want. No, that's not what they want.
-
They want the things of the Holy Ghost. She has
-
attended how many catatismos now? Four catatismos.
-
Yeah, she was like the other brother. You see,
-
they are coming to catatismos now. I saw Tito
-
this morning. I told him, we miss you. He says,
-
no, no, no. When we start to tell them now, you
-
know, it's too early. Well, lying with Satan
-
is from the womb. And the better, the faster
-
you know, the better for you. If you're online
-
and you're hearing me, you have children and
-
say, it's too early. Let them reach to the age
-
of accountability. Oh, they will be accountable
-
to Satan by then. Praise God. From young age.
-
Introduce them into it. Amen. So all of them
-
spoke in tongues. All of them spoke in what?
-
In tongues. All with one accord in one place.
-
Acts chapter 2 verse 1. And suddenly all of them.
-
That word all of them. Means all of them. Verse
-
4 said. And they were what? Only the men were
-
filled. Is that what the scripture says? Only
-
the women were free. Is that what the scripture
-
says? How many of them? All of them spoke. And
-
all of them interpreted it. How do I know? How
-
did I know? Go to Acts chapter 2. Let's see it.
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
2 verse 7. And they were all amazed, marveling,
-
saying one to another, Behold, are not what?
-
All these. See verse 6. Now when this was noise
-
abroad, the multitude came together and were
-
confronted because that how many people? Every
-
man had his own what? Language. And they were
-
all amazed and marveling, saying one to another,
-
Behold, are not what? All these which speak what?
-
And see verse 8, everybody. Then how here we
-
what? Every man. All of them. Every one of them.
-
So in this room today, every one of us, we have
-
the ability to interpret tongues. Hallelujah.
-
We have the ability to prophesy. It's in our
-
spirits. Are we all here? So who should speak
-
in tongues? Believers. Who should speak in tongues?
-
All. Who should speak in tongues? All believers.
-
No disciple of Jesus should be exempted from
-
speaking in tongues. Do you hear what I said?
-
Know what? Let me say it this way. Let me modify
-
it. No disciple of Jesus should be exempted from
-
the things of the Spirit. Let me make it better.
-
No one should be exempted. Every one of us. The
-
scripture says that we are drunk of the same
-
spirit. Hallelujah. Every one of us. Are we all
-
here? Are we all here? Praise God. Praise God.
-
So, did Paul speak in tongues? Because as he
-
is writing like this, did he speak in tongues?
-
Because it's important to note. Amen? But before
-
we go to that, Amen. Okay, we'll do that later.
-
1 Corinthians 14, 18. 1 Corinthians 18. Who should
-
speak in tongues? All believers should speak
-
in tongues. Amen. Is that clear to everybody?
-
Is that clear to everybody? Okay, 1 Corinthians
-
14, verse 18. I was 18. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
-
I thank my God. I speak with what? I speak with
-
what? I speak with tongues. More than what? I
-
think we had that on... Was it Sunday? Was it
-
Tuesday? Was Tuesday? You see sir, this week
-
has been supernatural. That everybody is mixing
-
the days. All the days are looking alike. I thank
-
my God. I speak with tongues more than what?
-
So what will that statement tell us about Paul?
-
Huh? C19. Yet in the church, I had rather speak
-
what? Five words with my what? Understanding.
-
That by my voice I might teach others also. And
-
10 ,000 words in and what? Unknown tongues. So
-
that tells us about Paul's private life and also
-
what? His public life. Praise God. That oh boy,
-
this man speaks, he prays in tongues. Hallelujah.
-
That he what? That he prays in what? In tongues.
-
6. Acts chapter 19 verse 6. And when Paul had
-
laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost what?
-
Came on them and they spoke with what? With tongues
-
and what? And prophesied. From verse 4. Then
-
said Paul, John verily baptized with what? With
-
the baptism of what? Repentance. Saying unto
-
the people that they should believe on him that
-
shall come after him. That is on Christ Jesus.
-
When they had this, they were baptized in the
-
name of who? The name of the Lord Jesus. And
-
when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy
-
Ghost came on them and they spoke with what?
-
Can you see? And they spoke with what? With tongues
-
and words. So, we'll keep reading places in Acts
-
of the Apostles. You'll be seeing tongues, prophecy.
-
Tongues, prophecy. Tongues, declaration of God's
-
wonderful works. Tongues. Everywhere you're seeing
-
tongues, you'll be seeing interpretation of tongues.
-
Or once you see prophecy, know that that tongue
-
has been what? Interpreted. Hallelujah. Praise
-
God. Hallelujah. So what we see in this Acts
Acts 19 chapter mention
-
chapter 19 is a conversation of certain disciples
-
of John. Praise God. Amen. And then we see Paul
-
now laying hands on them. Now bringing what Pastor
-
Victor has taught. That we can receive the baptism.
-
Right? with the Holy Ghost by laying on of what?
-
Of hands. And Paul, we read this place during
-
his teaching. Amen? Paul laid hands on them.
-
And what happened to them? What happened to them?
-
What happened to them? Yeah, they spoke in tongues.
-
And also what? Every time, let me teach us this.
-
Every time you are saying, speaking in tongues,
-
take it further, much more. Say what? And prophecy.
-
Praise God. Every time you say tongues, always
-
add what? Prophecy. Every time, I'm saying this,
-
everywhere you go on this earth, I'm saying this
-
now because that is to set the posture of our
-
heart. Every time you say tongues, every time
-
you think tongues, the next thing should be what?
-
Prophecy. Interpretation of that tongues. Why?
-
So that edification will what? Will come. Amen?
-
Are we all here? So now, 1 Corinthians 14 now.
-
1 Corinthians 14. We are going to dwell on this
-
now in detail. So this is where we will now talk
-
in detail now to clarify some things much more
-
about tongues. So all this while, what have we
-
been talking about? Tongues. Hallelujah. In fact,
-
if we close here, you already have full knowledge
-
about what we're about doing. Amen? Praise God.
-
1 Corinthians 14, verse 2 now. Well, let's start
-
reading from verse 1, everybody, so that we can
-
have a huge context because it's going to be
-
a long reading. Follow after what? Charity and
-
desire and desire. spiritual gifts, but rather
-
that ye may what? Prophesy. For he that speaketh
-
in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but
-
unto God. For no man understandeth him, howbeit
-
in the spirit he speaketh what? He speaketh mysteries.
-
Right? You remember we said tongues is not a
-
regular language, right? It's an elevated what?
-
Discussion. Are we all here? Are we all here?
-
Yes. So, and it's not only that. Where we read
-
about 1 Corinthians 14, that Paul talked about
-
in 18, I thank my God that I speak with tongues
-
more than ye all, just tells us that tongues
-
should be a regular activity of the believer's
-
life. Hallelujah. It should be what? For Paul
-
to come to this point, where he could say, I
-
thank my God I pray in tongues more than ye all,
-
it ought to be what? His regular what? Activity.
-
Don't be afraid. Don't be afraid. In your room,
-
pray in tongues. On the street, pray in tongues.
-
In your quiet time, pray in tongues. Everywhere
-
you are, pray in what? Pray in tongues. Say,
-
I don't know what I'm speaking. You're going
-
to know what you're speaking in a bit. Pray in
-
what? Pray in tongues. It's not my words. It's
-
the scripture. How be it you don't speak to men?
-
You speak unto who? Unto God. Are we all here?
-
Are we all here? So, that word speaketh. That
-
word speaketh. For he. that speaketh. Well, let's
-
start picking it from the beginning, actually.
-
We already have done a word study yesterday about
-
for. You remember for? You remember for? What
-
is for? What for? God. Praise God. And we say,
-
what does it imply? Eh? Yes. Thank you. Reason.
-
Explanation. Right? Good. So, when we see verse
-
2, we say, for he that What is that place supposed
-
to mean? That what is happening? What are we
-
learning from there? Read verse 1 and then verse
-
2. Thank you, sir. The reason for what? For the
-
end of what? The communication from verse 1.
-
Right? Okay. So, don't worry. We are coming to
-
verse 1 and we are going to deal with it. Amen?
-
Yes. So, we said that word for, we've handled
-
it, right? Yes. So, regarding what? So, we said
-
now. For he, that word, speaketh. Are we all
-
here? Are we all here? That word he, it means
-
we have done it too yesterday. Right? Yes. So,
-
ho, H -O, the word he in verse 1. In verse 2,
-
sorry. That word he, oh, it implies the one,
-
a particular person. Right? For that particular
-
person that speaketh in what? In an unknown tongue.
-
And we know the he here. Who is the he? Who is
-
the he? The believer. Praise God. Hallelujah.
-
Good, that's perfect now. We are all here. So,
-
the word speaketh. which we have already treated,
-
is lalio. You remember we talked about glossolalia,
-
right? Yeah, so the word spigot is lalio. Lalia,
-
lalio. Which means natural and regular actions.
-
It's used for speaking. Speaking, lalio, speaking.
-
Right? It's for what? Speaking. For the man,
-
that what? That speaks. A regular action. Regular
-
speaking. You see, tongues ought to be regular.
-
Praise God. Can you say I regularly speak in
-
tongues? Say I regularly speak in tongues and
-
I prophesy. Hallelujah. That's our reality. So
-
now, we now see from that now, speaker, we know
-
the believer is the one that ought to be what?
-
Are we all here? Are we all here? So, because
-
you now see also in verse 5. See verse 5 now.
-
I would that ye all speak with what? With tongues.
-
But rather that ye what? Prophesy. For greater
-
is what? He that prophesied and he that speaketh
-
what? With tongues. Except he what? Who should
-
interpret? The man that is what? Speaking in
-
tongues. That the church may be what? May be?
-
Edified. Hallelujah. So what we see, Paul will
-
say in verse 5. See the starting of verse 5.
-
I will that ye all. If it's your Bible on the
-
line, the word all. You see, he still says what?
-
All. We established that from Acts chapter 2.
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
All of them spoke. All of them interpreted. All
-
of them. They had them declaring the works of
-
what? The wonderful works of the Lord. Amen.
-
And we see Paul again writing in verse 5. I will
-
that how many people? all speak with what? With
-
tongues. So all of us ought to be speaking in
-
tongues. So Paul is saying that all of us should
-
be speaking in what? Tongues. Who? All the believers.
-
In fact, that is the same thing he rendered in
-
Acts chapter 14 verse 18. I thank my God that
-
I speak in tongues more than what? Ye all. He
-
wasn't saying that all were not speaking in tongues.
-
That's not what Paul was trying to communicate.
-
Paul was communicating his private life also
-
to them. That even in my private life, I also
-
do what? Speak in what? In tongues. Praise God.
-
In 26, how is it then brethren, when ye come
-
together, every one of you, Not two of you. Not
-
three of you. Not four of you. How many of you?
-
Verse 26. 1 Corinthians 14. Every one of you
-
had a what? Had a what? Doctrine. Had a tongue.
-
See the next thing. Had a revelation. Had an
-
interpretation. Every one of you can do this.
-
Every one of you. So which means every one of
-
us has a psalm. Praise God. Every one of us have
-
a tongue. Praise God. Every one of us has an
-
interpretation. Praise God. In fact, you see
-
the way he ended and say, let all things be done
-
what? Unto edifying. Because every one of you
-
has all these. So when you come and when you
-
come to meet together, let everything be done
-
unto what? Edification. Because inside me is
-
all. Inside you is what? Is all. Inside her is
-
what? Is all. Praise God. But he will say that
-
because there's something he wants to adjust.
-
We're going to come to it. Praise God. We're
-
going to come to it and build on it. Amen. Are
-
we all here? Are we all here? So we see 1 Corinthians
-
14 .39. He said, wherefore brethren, convict
-
what? To prophesy and forbid not what? To speak
-
in tongues. So which means everybody should speak
-
in tongues. Hallelujah. Everybody should what?
-
Should speak in tongues. He was addressing the
-
whole church. So no one should be excluded. No
-
one. Because the church. Everyone in the church
-
believed. So no one should be what? Should be
-
excluded. Praise God. Hallelujah. Are we all
-
here? Are we all here? So let's go back to verse
-
2 again. Because we are talking tongues now.
-
He said, for he that speaketh in an unknown tongue,
-
speaketh not unto what? Not unto men. That word
-
men, we already know who is the he, right? We
-
already know the meaning of speaking, right?
-
Laliu, right? Other words. We know it, right?
-
We know the he there means who? The believer.
-
Praise God. So that word men means anthropos.
-
Generally for humanity. Anthropos. Anthropology.
-
Anthropos. Humanity. So for he that speaketh
-
in an unknown tongue, speaketh not unto anthropos.
-
Not unto what? Humanity. So in other words, when
-
a believer speaks in tongues, it's not addressed
-
to anybody in humanity. Praise God. Now this
-
is already answering questions in people's hearts.
-
When you speak in tongues, you are not addressing
-
any humanity. Hallelujah. In other words, when
-
a believer speaks in tongues, it is not addressed
-
to anybody in what? In humanity. It is not addressed
-
to any anthropos. We are establishing a solid
-
doctrine here. So let's pay attention to it.
-
And the word God, he said, how be it? Right?
-
He said, but unto who? But unto God. The word
-
God was translated from the Greek word theos.
-
T -H. Okay, did I say the spelling of Anthropos?
-
A -N -T -H -R -O -P -O -S. A -N -T -H -R -O -P
-
-O -S. That's Anthropos. And then the word God
-
was translated from the Greek word theos. T -H
-
-E -O -S. Which implies deity. Hallelujah. Divine
-
deity. So in other words, when we put all this
-
together, we will say, when the believer speaks
-
in tongues, he creates an audience only with
-
God, not with anthropos. Amen? So when we say
-
speak in tongues, please, the first thing that
-
should come to your head, then say, ah, now,
-
if I now start speaking now. People will say,
-
what am I saying? No, no, no, no, no. It's not
-
what I'm saying. What we are establishing here
-
is that you create an audience with God. That's
-
that verse 2. 1 Corinthians 14 verse 2 says,
-
For the believer that speaketh in tongues speaketh
-
not unto humanity. Praise God. So what I'm saying
-
in essence is that everywhere you are, including
-
this location, When you start out, I'm not speaking
-
to Pastor Victor. I'm not speaking to Pastor
-
Frederick. I'm not speaking to Pastor Chidi.
-
I'm not speaking to Samantha. I'm not speaking
-
to any humanity. But unto who? But unto God.
-
Every time you set out to pray in tongues, Know
-
that you already have created an audience with
-
who? With God. You remember we talked about tongues,
-
right? It's an elevated what? Discussion. High
-
-end discussion. This high -end discussion or
-
elevated discussion first is a discussion between
-
you and who? And God. Not with humanity. Is this
-
clear? Is this clear? Do we understand where
-
we're coming from? And where we are going now?
-
Praise God. So, now, we now say, for no man understandeth
-
him. For no man. So, for no humanity understandeth
-
him. That word understand is the Greek word,
-
A -K -O -U -O. Ako. A -K. A -K -O -U -O. A -K
-
-O -U -O, which implies to comprehend. A -K -O
-
-U -O, which implies to what? To comprehend.
-
That means that no one can intelligently understand
-
what you're saying. So the meaning of tongues
-
cannot be understood from the sounds that are
-
being uttered. The meaning of tongues cannot
-
be understood from the sounds that are what?
-
That are being uttered. This is important. Very
-
important. The meaning of tongues cannot be understood
-
from the sounds that are being what? Uttered.
-
The word understand is what? It means to comprehend.
-
So when the scripture says no man understand
-
it, it means that what? It means that the mind
-
cannot what? Intelligently what? Understand the
-
sounds. Praise God. So let's go for a short break
-
after which we'll build on this and then we'll
-
quickly get into interpretation of tongues. Hallelujah.
