Welcome to NECF. We're thrilled you're here.
-
Make sure to stay with us till the end, where
-
we will share some great resources to deepen
-
your faith. Now, let's dive into this week's
-
sermon. Hallelujah. Praise God. In Acts chapter
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
2, no wonder they heard them, they were declaring
-
the wonderful works of God. Because what has
-
been prophesied is now fulfilled. Hallelujah.
-
What has been prophesied is now what? Is now
-
fulfilled. So they will hear them declaring the
-
what? The wonderful works of the Lord. The mighty
-
works of the Lord. He said, that which has been,
-
Peter stood up and said, that which has been
-
prophesied by prophet Joel is now what you see
-
at work now. He's aligning with what was interpreted
-
in the tongues. Hallelujah. Praise God. So how
-
be it? When you speak in tongues, you don't speak
-
to humanity. You speak unto who? Unto God. But
-
unto God. But unto God. But unto God. This information
-
only should set you free. That every time you
-
are speaking in tongues, Every time you are speaking
-
in tongues, you know that you have an audience
-
with God. Hallelujah. Every time. You know, during
-
my anyway, somebody say, how did you know? Maybe
-
if you are speaking in tongues, you are saying
-
that when I go out, I should have accident. Can
-
you imagine? And this was somebody that was supposed
-
to be our leader. He said, why are we praying
-
in tongues, praying in tongues? We don't even
-
know what we are saying. Maybe we are saying
-
that when we go out in the next day going to
-
our PPA, let's have accidents. At the time, we
-
believed that the spirit of Beelzebub was walking
-
through him. You know, he said, I'm the chief
-
rebellion. I'm the one that is ganging up against
-
him. I'm the one that's, what they call the word,
-
gang leader. Aside the president, the next person
-
that has three offices is me. I have one office
-
upstairs. I have my own office again downstairs.
-
And I have another one. And you know what he
-
now did? Since I was the gang leader, he realized
-
that we always, or every... All the other escorts,
-
we always meet in the office up because his home
-
too is there. So, he's closed. So, he sees everybody.
-
What is Rocket Man? They gave me a name, Rocket
-
Man. He said, what is Rocket Man always doing
-
with all this? They are still plotting something.
-
He now said, as the chief of this house, he has
-
seized that that room is closed. He now left
-
Rocket Room for us downstairs. How can you speak?
-
How can you create an audience with God? And
-
the interpretation of what is happening is, as
-
I'm going out in the morning for my PPA, let
-
me have accident. We love him. You know, as the
-
gang leader, you know, They suspended us for
-
six months. Have you ever seen people that gave
-
themselves to staff? They are now suspended for
-
six months. I'm telling you, for a one -year
-
program. For a one -year program, they suspended
-
us for six months. You know what we started doing,
-
sir? We started organizing prayer groups among
-
us. And we're praying for him and praying for
-
the church. The rugged man that I handed over
-
to, because, you know, we're under suspension,
-
so we can't go to come and select people. That
-
boy is from around my state. Do you know the
-
boy ran mad? He ran mad. They had to carry him
-
out of his service here, back home. They go out
-
for, you know, the boss will carry people and
-
they'll go for one villages or the other. The
-
boy will come back and be telling me strange
-
things that they are experiencing there. Before
-
we left, he started talking to himself. I was
-
in Abuja. They called me that they're moving
-
back home. Glory to God. The next set that was
-
going to come, substantive escort. That's the
-
main escort that was going to come. Jesus hijacked
-
the team. And the team changed. So, you can't
-
create an audience with God and give it a demonic
-
meaning. Okay. Let's continue. So, we said that
-
that word on the standard hymn, that word on
-
the standard, we say it's what? Akua, right?
-
Which implies to what? To comprehend. Praise
-
God. So, if we are reading that verse 2, we say,
-
for he that speaketh, that's the believer that
-
speaketh in an unknown tongue. We know what is
-
tongue now, right? If you're having King James
-
Version, unknown is italicized, which means in
-
the original context, it wasn't there, right?
-
It's just tongue. Praise God. Speaketh not unto
-
men. Verse added by translators, right? But unto
-
God. For no man understand. If you're still using
-
King James Version like mine, you will see the
-
hymn too. It's italicized, right? Yeah, so that
-
word there is supposed to be no man understand.
-
Understand what? The tongue. Praise God. Amen?
-
Yeah, so that's the word understand there. The
-
comprehension is not to understand a man speaking.
-
It's to understand the tongue that is being uttered.
-
Are we all here? Are we all here? So, when you
-
are set out to speak in tongues, When I come
-
close to you, I will not understand what you
-
are saying. How be it that the verse 2 says,
-
but your speakings are not to humanity. Your
-
speakings are unto who? And unto God. Please
-
be looking at your Bible so that you see what
-
I'm saying. He said, you speak not unto men,
-
but unto who? But unto God. For no humanity understand
-
this kind of speaking. Praise God. How be it
-
in the spirit, right? The believer speaketh what?
-
Mysteries. Are we all here? So that word mysteries,
-
we have had it here, is called musterion. Musterion,
-
which implies undisclosed facts that needs to
-
be explained. So it's not something metaphysical.
-
It's not something abstract. You remember we
-
said utterance is what? Elevated discussion,
-
right? But that elevated discussion can be interpreted.
-
Hallelujah. Tongues are not cryptic messages.
-
Tongues can be what? Interpreted. Praise God.
-
Let me repeat myself. Tongues are not a kind
-
of language that does not have meaning. Tongues
-
have meaning. And the meaning lies in the interpretation.
-
Praise God. Amen. So he said mysteries. How be
-
it what? It's mysteries. It's mysteries because
-
when you're speaking in tongues and I come close
-
to you, I don't understand what you're saying.
-
You understand? So for me, it becomes what? Mystery.
-
When we say mystery, we are not saying something
-
spooky. What we are saying is that something
-
that the mind cannot grasp. Something that intelligently
-
your mind cannot what? Understand at the moment.
-
Praise God. But however, it needs to be what?
-
Explained. Undisclosed facts. That needs to be
-
what? Explained. That is the word musterion.
-
That is why you see, I added to us, every time
-
you say, I'm setting out to pray in tongues,
-
the next thing should be, and what? Prophesy.
-
Give meaning to it. Interpret. Hallelujah. Praise
-
God. So we see other instances from musterion.
-
Luke chapter 8 verse 10. We'll just look at two
-
references and then because that has been taught
-
here. Luke chapter 8 verse 10. And he said unto
-
you, it is given to know the mysteries, the musterion
-
of the kingdom. Hallelujah. So which means it
-
is given to you to understand the mysteries of
-
what? Of the kingdom. So that undisclosed facts
-
about the kingdom for you is open. Praise God.
-
Pastor Fred talked about to the believer is revelation.
-
It's open. It's not hidden. Praise God. is disclosed
-
for the believer. Tongues, let me say it this
-
way as it's coming to my heart. Tongues is a
-
disclosed message that needs to be interpreted
-
in clear language for the mind to understand.
-
Let me repeat myself because it's coming to my
-
heart now. Tongues is a what? Is a disclosed
-
message that needs to be what? Interpreted for
-
the mind to what? To understand. Tongues is a...
-
You see why I use the word disclose? So that
-
when you are speaking in tongues, don't say I'm
-
speaking what I don't know. Praise God. Tongues
-
is a disclosed message that needs to be what?
-
Interpreted so that the mind can what? Understand.
-
You remember we said that what? It should meet
-
the eye. Praise God. It should edify. Amen. So
-
when interpretation comes to tongues, what we
-
get is what? Edification. Hallelujah. So he said,
-
you give to know the mysteries of the kingdom
-
of God. Amen. But to others in parables, but
-
seeing that they might not see and hearing, they
-
might not what? Understand. One more verse again.
-
One more reference and then we go. Ephesians
-
3 verse 3. Ephesians 3 verse 3. Are we all understanding
-
what is happening? Praise God. Ephesians 3 verse
-
3. How that by revelation, he made known unto
-
me the what? If it's something that is hidden
-
and should not be known, it will not be made
-
known to him. Praise God. How by what? Revelation,
-
right? It was made known unto me the mystery
-
as I wrote afore in what? In a few what? In a
-
few words. Whereby when you read, you may what?
-
You may understand. So if he wrote the writing
-
in mystery, would they have understood? No. So
-
it was disclosed. It was open. In fact, let me
-
say it again much more higher now. Tongues need
-
to be open. For edification to find expression.
-
Tongues need to be what? Open. Say that when
-
you read, you may understand my knowledge in
-
the mystery of what? In the mystery of Christ.
-
It's already disclosed. It's not hidden again.
-
Praise God. Hallelujah. How be it? Let's read
-
1 Corinthians 2 .6. So how is mystery disclosed?
-
By revelation. How is mystery? Pastor Fred has
-
taught that. How is mystery disclosed? By what?
-
By revelation. How by revelation? This mystery
-
was made known to me. This mystery was opened
-
unto me. 1 Corinthians chapter 2. Verse 6. What
1 Corinthians 2 chapter mention
-
are they speaking? This hidden mystery that is
-
now what? Revealed. Hallelujah. Verse 9 now.
-
Can you see? But what has happened? Verse 10.
-
But God has hidden them. God has hidden them
-
unto us by His Spirit. What has happened to us?
-
God has revealed. them. How did he reveal them?
-
To us by his what? By his spirit. So say this,
-
when I speak in tongues, I know what I'm saying
-
by the spirit of God. For it is revealed unto
-
me by the spirit of God. The spirit of God gives
-
me utterance and he also gives me interpretation.
-
Glory to God. Hallelujah. That is it. See two
-
of everybody now. Now, hallelujah. When? Now
-
we have received not the spirit of the world,
-
but the spirit of God, which is of God, right?
-
That we may, what? That we may. That we may,
-
that we may, that we may know what? We may know
-
what? The things that are what? That are freely
-
what? Given to us. Say tongues have been given
-
to me. Interpretation have been given to me.
-
Word of wisdom has been given to me. The prophetic
-
has been given to me. Healing has been given
-
to me. Unconditionally there is a supply. Hallelujah.
-
Yes. That we may know. So when I create audience
-
with God, what happens next is that there is
-
what? A revealing. So when you set out to pray
-
in tongues, don't say, oh, hey, I'm afraid. I'm
-
afraid. No, no, no, no, no, no. It's you and
-
God. That thing that you're saying, why it's
-
called mystery, is because to the normal human
-
mind, it cannot be what? Understood. But when
-
it is interpreted, right, the mind now can what?
-
Grasp it. In Acts chapter 2, where we read, it
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
says, when they now heard them, right, the first
-
thing that happened, they were what? Confounded.
-
But later on, they declared, oh, we heard them.
-
They all are speaking in our what? In our own.
-
And what we hear them speak is that they are
-
declaring the what? The wonderful works of the
-
Lord. Praise God. Praise God. So we see God has
-
revealed these things to us by His what? By His
-
Spirit. So when these things are explained, the
-
mind can now understand. Hallelujah. So write
-
down. Every time tongue is interpreted, the mind
-
understands. Every time tongue is interpreted,
-
the mind what? Understands. So it's no more a
-
musterion. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
-
So to the human mind, tongues are not understood.
-
Because in the spirit, the believer is. involved
-
in a discussion with God. Hallelujah. In the
-
spirit, the believer is involved in a what? Discussion
-
with God. I believe this has answered questions
-
on when I pray in tongues, who am I really praying?
-
When I do and I begin to utter, who am I really
-
talking to? Am I talking to Pastor Koston? You
-
know, some people are ashamed to pray in tongues.
-
You know, because... when you stand close to
-
them, they will now reduce their voice. As you
-
are just standing there, Pastor Fred, you know,
-
as we say, can everybody pray in tongue here?
-
Once they see, a pastor is coming close. In fact,
-
some will not only reduce it, some will change
-
direction. I just got this by the Spirit of the
-
Lord. Don't compare your tongues with another
-
man's tongue. I just got this now by the Spirit
-
of God. You're creating an audience with God.
-
You're not creating an audience with men. Praise
-
God. You're not speaking to men. You're speaking
-
unto who? Unto God. How be it you speak in the
-
Spirit and not in the human language? Praise
-
God. Are we all here? Yeah, so this should answer
-
a question in someone's heart now. So because
-
there's a big question. How does my tongue sound?
-
Or how should my tongue sound? This is a big
-
question. Most times, people, most people that
-
you struggle with regarding the baptism with
-
the Holy Ghost, with an evidence of praying in
-
tongues, most times this is their major question.
-
I don't know what I'm saying. Have you met them
-
like that? Yeah, they will tell you, I don't
-
know what I'm saying, number one. And two, they
-
will tell you that what I'm saying looks stupid
-
to me. Then the third thing they will say is,
-
I don't understand what I'm saying. I thought
-
I should be saying something that my mind can
-
what? Understand. You see, supernatural things
-
are always not logical to the human mind until
-
they are taught. Do you hear what I said? Supernatural
-
things are not what? Are always not what? Logical
-
to the human mind until they are what? until
-
they are taught. Tongues will not be logical
-
to your mind until it is interpreted. It will
-
never be logical. And I said something strong
-
yesterday. Everything supernatural will always
-
have effect in the natural. So the effect of
-
supernatural activity called tongue in the natural
-
is what? Interpretation. So now the human mind
-
can now what? Perceive it and understand. Laying
-
on of hands is a supernatural activity. But you
-
see, you just do it in the what? In the what?
-
In the physical. But something supernatural is
-
happening. But now the next thing, how do we
-
know a supernatural thing has happened? We now
-
see what? Healing taking place. We now see a
-
baptism with the Holy Ghost happening. And then
-
we have evidence of what? Speaking in other tongues.
-
Evidence. So it's not logical to your mind. So
-
don't seek to apply your logical mind. Always
-
when it comes. You know, sometimes you can be
-
seated as we are seated here now. The Spirit
-
of God will give you a word for someone in this
-
place. And you say, what if now I ask him and
-
the person say I'm lying? And then you're perceiving
-
it much more stronger in your heart. Many times
-
you have heard me say, I know what I'm saying.
-
You must have heard me have said it one, two,
-
three. As I hear, I say, no, this is what I'm
-
saying. I know what I'm saying. For example,
-
yesterday, when man of God say, if you know you're
-
here, and she raised her, from the back, I heard
-
that there's someone again here. And from nowhere,
-
our sister now walked up here. Practicals. I
-
don't know. What's your name, sister? Huh? Okay.
-
Did you speak in tongues yesterday? She has been
-
speaking in tongues, so I never needed to ask
-
her. But you spoke in tongues yesterday. Don't
-
be shy. Are you always shy? Uh -huh. Don't be
-
shy. With all that you have learned now, you
-
can speak in tongues again, right? All that you
-
have learned so far, you can speak in tongues,
-
right? Perfect. Good. Anyone here, again, that
-
does not speak in tongues? Okay. You know, yesterday
-
I said I will put our ear close to your mouth.
-
We are going to do it today. Don't go to the
-
restroom. Yes, don't go to the restroom. You
-
know, people can be so listening. You know, yesterday
-
I said it. And you know, people are laughing.
-
And people do it. They say, can we speak in tongues?
-
Or they say, is there anybody that does not speak
-
in tongues? Nobody will listen. So, which means,
-
everybody speak in tongues. But now, can we speak
-
in tongues? You start praying in French. And
-
you know, Somebody that does not understand in
-
French, he will see you. And then he will say,
-
oh boy, he's on fire. He's on fire. So how does
-
my tongue sound? Well, how should my tongue sound?
-
Because that's a big question in people's heart
-
now. So we say that tongues, what? It's an ability
-
in the spirit. Have we said that before? Yes,
-
we said that, right? But actually, it has a sound.
-
Amen? You know, we say lalia. Didn't we say lalia?
-
Yeah, we say lalia. We also say from the Genesis
-
19, we say daba. Right? Yeah, so which means
-
that when I'm speaking, there's what? There's
-
a sound. Praise God. Praise God. Isaiah 28, 11.
-
Isaiah 28, 11. Thank you, Holy Spirit. You create
-
audience with God. You don't create audience
-
with men. I will say this a thousand times. You
-
create audience with God. You don't create audience
-
with what? With men. Let your attention be on
-
God, not on men. Let your attention be on God,
-
not on men. When you set out to pray in tongues,
-
let your attention be on God and not with what?
-
On men. Let your attention be on God and not
-
what? And not meant that way. Much more will
-
be happening in your spirit. Much more will be
-
coming. Much more interpretation. Much more word
-
of knowledge. Much more word of wisdom. Much
-
more the prophetic. Much more instructions are
-
going to be deposited. Much more the Holy Ghost
-
will be revealing in your spirit. Hallelujah.
-
28, 11. For with tamarind leaves and another
-
tongue will he speak to what? To his people.
-
To whom he said. This is the rest wherewith ye
-
may cause the weary to what? To rest. And this
-
is the refreshing. Yet they will not hear. But
-
the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon
-
what? Precept, precept upon precept, line upon
-
line, line upon line, here a little and there
-
a little, and they might go and fall backward
-
and be broken and snared and taken. But verse
-
11 says, with stammering lips and another what?
-
Tongue, will he speak to his what? Will he speak
-
to his what? Will he speak to his people? So
-
that word tongue in the Hebrew, that word tongue
-
in Hebrew is called Lashon, which means communication.
-
Lashon, L -A -S -H -I -O -N. It means communication.
-
Tongue, communication. And then another, another
-
in Hebrew words, lashon, L -A -S -H -I -O -N
-
-E. Another in the Hebrew word is achar, A -C
-
-H -E -R, which implies something strange. Something
-
strange. With stammering lips and another tongue.
-
Another, achar, A -C -H -E -R. Something strange.
-
Tongue, lashon, communication. Stamarin leaves.
-
The word leaves, we have said it here. Sapa,
-
right? Yes, we have said it. Sapa. Just as in
-
Genesis 11 verse 1. So, it's something spoken,
-
not written. Right? Something what? Spoken. Not
-
written. So, it's used for languages that need
-
what? Interpretation. The word stamarin is lae.
-
L -E. L -A -E -G. Which implies something that
-
is unusual, used for mockery. Something that
-
is unusual, used for mockery. Don't go out. Come.
-
Come and sit down. Come and sit down. Don't worry.
-
You pick that call. I want you to hear this part.
-
Tell the person to keep the money for you. I
-
want you to hear this part. Please. You know
-
why? You're going to help somebody in coming
-
days. You're going to help somebody with this
-
clarity. You see, as I raised my hand, I wasn't
-
looking for anybody. She was the one I was looking
-
for. And as I didn't see her, I said, ah! Now,
-
now. The word stammering is what? Lae, which
-
implies something that is what? Unusual, useful
-
mockery. Useful mockery. So we can say it here.
-
With a mockery, with a mockery speaking, right?
-
And a strange what? And a strange communication,
-
will he speak to his what? To his what? To his
-
people. I'm just putting all the meanings of
-
what we have written. into Isaiah 28, 11. That's
-
just what I just did. Now all the meanings, I'm
-
just putting it in Isaiah 28, 11. Are we all
-
here? Psalms 35, 16. Psalms 35, 16. Psalms 35,
-
verse 16. Have we been blessed so far? Are we
-
understanding the benefits of tongues? We know
-
who should speak in tongues. We know who tongues
-
is addressed to. That is not addressed to any
-
human, right? It's addressed to who? To God,
-
right? Perfect. So we are now looking at how
-
should my tongues sound? When I'm speaking in
-
tongues and I'm speaking, what happens? Is it
-
supposed to be like I said? I started out saying
-
this. Some people want their tongue to be sweet.
-
I love her tongues. Her tongues is like peace
-
language. Cincinnati. Alaska, Alaska, Madagascar,
-
Madagascar, Honolulu, Honolulu. Some people want
-
their tongue to be this sweet. You know, some
-
people even judge some people's other tongues.
-
When they hear the person is just doing Shabalada,
-
Shabalada, Shabalada, Shabalada, you know what
-
I mean? How many of these guys are doing Shabalada?
-
Let me say this. Who are you to judge another
-
man's tongue? That was just a joke. Praise God.
-
All of us, we have an audience with God. Praise
-
God. Then the third group now is, when they are
-
speaking in talks, they will put their ear to
-
hear the neighbor's tongue. Holy Spirit. He is
-
giving you utterance. Don't be afraid. He is
-
giving you options. Don't be afraid. Just open
-
up your mouth. Begin to speak. Begin to speak.
-
You will get better at this high -end language.
-
You will get better at this undisclosed language
-
that needs to be disclosed. You will get better.
-
I tell you this by the Spirit of God. You will
-
get better at it. Psalm 35, 16 now. Oh, 35, 35.
-
With hypocritical what? Mockers in feasts, they
-
gnashed upon me with their what? They gnashed
-
upon me with their teeth. That word mockers is
-
the same word for laie, stammering. It's the
-
same word. It's the same word. Used for what?
-
Stammering, as we read in Isaiah 28, 11. Something
-
foreign. Something new. Something foreign. Mockery.
-
Are we all here? So, having established this,
-
we now realize that when we talk about tongues,
-
right? Tongues is a different kind of communication
-
that will always sound. like mockery, like a
-
jest. Tongues will always sound like a what?
-
A mockery communication. When you hear us, when
-
humanity comes, let me use that word, when humanity
-
comes around you, right, and they don't understand,
-
not you, all of us, we pray in tongues here,
-
so we understand. Amen? What I'm saying. But
-
when an unlearned person comes here, And then
-
he sees like that man that came in. Can you imagine
-
yesterday? We're praying though. The man just
-
stood by the door. He was dancing. Do you know
-
when three of them or four of them come here,
-
they'll say all of us are stupid. Yes. In fact,
-
let me tell you what they'll do. They'll bring
-
out their phones and they'll be smiling and be
-
taking video. So I think these guys are losing
-
their minds. So tongues, because it's supernatural,
-
right? Do you know, let me say this now. Oh,
-
let's go back to 1 Corinthians 2. Where we read
-
chapter 2. So that you will see something. So
-
that you will see. Verse 14. Verse 14. Verse
-
Corinthians 2, 14. But the natural man received
-
not what? The things of what? Of the spirit of
-
God. For they are what? For they are what? Your
-
what say? For they are foolishness to him. Next
-
slide says what? Neither what? Can they what?
-
Know them because they are what? Spiritually
-
discerned. So tongues is a different kind of
-
communication. It's a language that sounds. This
-
is answering someone's question. The words I'm
-
saying, I don't understand them. Yes, your mind
-
cannot understand them intelligently. They sound,
-
they will sound like what? Mockery. So don't
-
apply effort and energy trying to understand
-
the words in human language. No. Amen? See, for
-
example, 1 Corinthians 14, 21. 1 Corinthians
-
14, 21. In the law it is written, with men of
-
what? With men of other tongues and other lips,
-
will I what? Will I speak unto these people?
-
And yet for all that will they not hear me said
-
what? Yes, strange communications. Strange. So
-
if you are having King James Version, you realize
-
that, you know, that place, man of, is actually
-
size. So which means that it was added by what?
-
Translators. So if we're going to read that place,
-
say, with other tongues. Praise God. With other
-
tongues and other leaves will I speak unto what?
-
Unto these people. That is the same rendition
-
from where we read in Isaiah. Are we all here?
-
Are we all here? So now, having said all this
-
now, let's read Acts chapter 2 verse 4. So now
-
you now grasp properly now. Can you see that
-
the sound of tongues will always look like mockery?
-
So if you are waiting for your tongue to sound
-
like Queen's English, you came late. The occasion
-
is over. See Acts chapter 2 verse 4, everybody.
-
And they were all filled with the what? With
-
the Holy Ghost. And they what? Began to speak
-
with what? In fact, let me do it as it's coming
-
to my head now. Carry the meaning. Of another.
-
And tongues that we just wrote from. The Old
-
Testament where we read. And put here. As the
-
spirit gave them utterance. And they say to me.
-
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
And they began to speak. With what? Strange.
-
Communication. And because they were speaking.
-
A strange communication. Verse 6. Now when this
-
was noise abroad. The multitude came together
-
and were what? And they were confounded because
-
every man had them speak in his own what? In
-
his own tongue. See 13 now. Go to 13 everybody.
-
Others doing what? Others doing what? Mocking,
-
saying what? Can you see? So there were people
-
that hurt them, whereas others were laughing.
-
There were a group of people, such a mighty atmosphere.
-
And there were people standing there and they
-
were laughing. So if you are waiting for your
-
tongue to sound sweet, you came late. Every time
-
you set out to pray in tongues, it's going to
-
sound what? Strange, like a jest or what? Have
-
a form of a what? Mockery. Do you know why? Because
-
the human mind cannot what? Understand it. Until
-
it is what? Interpret it. How be it you are creating
-
audience with who? With God. Can we create an
-
audience in the next two minutes with God? Can
-
we pray in tongues now? I just perceive in my
-
heart that let's pray in tongues. Don't wait
-
for any atmosphere. There's no atmosphere. The
-
atmosphere is inside you. You are the atmosphere.
-
If you're online and you're listening, do likewise.
-
Pray in other tongues. Pray, pray, pray, pray,
-
pray. in right now. No wonder someone has said
-
in his heart, no wonder when I pray in tongues,
-
the way I'm saying it, I don't understand it.
-
No wonder the sound of my tongues is somehow.
-
No wonder my mind cannot understand. Yes, your
-
mind cannot understand because it's a supernatural
-
ability by the Spirit of God in your inside.
-
Let me hear you. Let me hear you. Do your mind
-
cannot understand it? Your spirit understand
-
it? Do your mind cannot understand it? God understand
-
it? Do your mind cannot understand it? Interpretation
-
is coming! Interpretation is here so that that
-
which is happening in your inside, the mind can
-
understand and you are edified. Thank you, Holy
-
Ghost. Thank you, Holy Ghost. In Jesus name we
-
pray. In the name of Jesus. So do we know how
-
tongues sounds now? Do we know how tongues sounds?
-
Hallelujah. To everywhere you go. Praise God.
-
I just had in my spirit to say to somebody who
-
is still struggling. Don't be ashamed when it
-
comes to praying in tongues. Don't be ashamed.
-
It's your reality. The utterance is inside you.
-
It will not be given to you tomorrow. It will
-
be given to you now. Hallelujah. There's a word
-
we sing here. I'm doing a new thing. I'm doing
-
a new thing in your life. I'm doing a new thing
-
in your life. That's what the Lord is saying.
-
I'm doing a new thing in your life and I'm going
-
to use you to bring about the revelation of God's
-
word in your nation. I'm using you to bring about
-
the revelation of God's word in your nation.
-
I'm going to use you to bring about restoration
-
to my church. There shall be a cleansing of my
-
church. There shall be a restoration of truth
-
on the pulpits in our churches. And I'm raising
-
you an army, an army that will bring about the
-
revelation of truth. That the church is brought
-
back to its line, to its initial plan. That I'm
-
using you as a new breed of men and women. That
-
will establish truth on the pulpits. That will
-
bring about the revelation of the truth of God's
-
word in this generation. This generation needs
-
men and women. And I'm revealing the truth to
-
you. And investing my word in you. I'm investing
-
my spirit in you. So that you can rise. So that
-
you can speak. So that you can reveal the truth
-
to this generation. I'm raising you as men full
-
of the spirit. With boldness. By the power of
-
the Holy Ghost. With signs and wonders accompanying.
-
I'm raising you as men of unction. As men full
-
of utterances. As you go about to preach. Eyes
-
of men are open. As you lay hands on the sick.
-
Healings are happening. As you speak to men.
-
Revelation of truth is passed to them. There
-
is transformation in nations through your hands,
-
through your words, through the preaching of
-
the gospel. I'm using you to change generations.
-
I'm using you to even raise leaders for tomorrow.
-
I'm using you to bless this generation and the
-
one to come. I'm using you to bring about the
-
establishment of the kingdom of God in the life
-
of men in the name of Jesus Christ. Glory to
-
God. Glory to God. Glory to God. Glory to God.
-
Glory to God. I perceive a staring much more
-
in our hearts. Can we pray in tongues? There's
-
a staring. I perceive that. Can anybody confirm
-
that too? Yes, I perceive. I perceive that. I
-
perceive that much more. Okay, yeah. There's
-
someone confirming it already. Thank you, Father.
-
In Jesus' name we pray. In the name of Jesus.
-
So we can say that tongues are abilities in the
-
spirit of the believer. You can write this now
-
and then we close on this. We're going to have
-
much more to build upon this that we have. At
-
least we have given a good introduction on tongues,
-
right? Haven't we given a good introduction?
-
Yes, this is a perfect introduction on tongues.
-
Amen? So we can say that tongues is an ability
-
in the spirit of the believer. It's an ability
-
in the spirit of the believer. Or a spiritual
-
mode of communication to God by believers verbalized
-
clearly in the Spirit. You see, that word carefully,
-
verbalize. Or a spiritual mode of communication
-
to God by believers verbalized clearly in what?
-
In the Spirit. Verbalized clearly in the Spirit.
-
Thank you, Holy Spirit. So write this. Tongues
-
is not a human language which can be learned.
-
Neither is it an evolution of a language. Tongues
-
is not a human language which can be what? Which
-
can be learned. And it's not also an evolution
-
of what? Of language. And then write this now.
-
That tongues is a post -resurrection reality
-
we have in Christ Jesus. Glory to God. It's a
-
post -resurrection reality that we have in who?
-
In Christ Jesus. Oh, thank you, Holy Spirit.
-
I still can remember when my mom gave her life
-
to Christ and began to speak in tongues. It was
-
something joyful for her. Every night. Every
-
night I will hear my mom. You know my mom. Every
-
night always my mom will be praying. Every night.
-
One of these days I came from school. So I was
-
dreaming. You know when you're in secondary school
-
and you have seniors. The ones that beat you.
-
The ones that love you. The ones that you always
-
dream with them. I dream with one of my seniors.
-
You know. And in the dreaming I was talking.
-
In the dream. I dreamt that, you know, except
-
it has not happened to you. If you're in boarding
-
school, once it's close to going back, you don't
-
like it. So that night I was dreaming that I
-
reached school and then I saw one of my seniors.
-
His name is Twanga. So, and then we call him
-
Tumsi. So in the dream, I was like, Tumsi, Tumsi.
-
So I didn't know from the dream, I now sounded.
-
Because we sleep with my mom around. I now woke
-
up, I saw my mom. I rebuke the spirit of Tumsi.
-
I rebuke the spirit of Tumsi. I rebuke the spirit
-
of Tumsi. Except my mom is sick. I've never had
-
a night where she... Some of you have those kind
-
of mothers. I've never seen a night where she
-
does not pray. She said, the Lord is showing
-
me this. The Lord has opened my eyes. The Lord
-
has opened my eyes. The Lord has opened my eyes.
-
I saw this. I saw that. I saw this. I remember
-
she said, I should not come back home. I should
-
stay in Cyprus. Because she saw that I came home,
-
I never returned. So I bought my ticket without
-
telling her. I'm telling you, they didn't know
-
I bought my ticket when I was going home. They
-
didn't know. See, just have several dreams. I
-
return home. She has prayed. Nothing will bring
-
me. And she has prayed about it. When the time
-
came, I bought my ticket without telling them.
-
So it's a post -restoration what? Reality that
-
we have in who? In who? In who? So please write
-
this down, the last statement, and then we jump
-
into interpretation of tongues. Praise God. In
-
fact, let me put it so you can personalize it.
-
Say my joy. Write it. My joy. No, write it. Write
-
it. My joy and confidence when speaking in tongues.
-
My joy and confidence when speaking in tongues
-
is that I have a spiritual communication with
-
the Father. That also defines my fellowship with
-
Him. My joy and confidence when speaking in tongues
-
is that what? I have a spiritual communication
-
with the Father. Right? Have you written that?
-
I have a spiritual communication with the Father
-
which defines what? My fellowship. Which also
-
defines my fellowship with Him. Hallelujah. Praise
-
God. Hallelujah. So this is a beautiful way to
-
start out on what? On tongues. Amen? Hallelujah.
-
Praise God. Yes, so, we're on point. We're on
-
point. Because once we do interpretation of tongues,
-
we're already automatically also doing what?
-
Prophecy. Praise God. Hallelujah. Are we all
-
here? Have we been blessed so far? Have we been
-
blessed so far? Are we going to pray more in
-
tongues? Are we going to pray more in tongues?
-
You see, these words are not only blessing you.
-
If you know the way I'm blessed, I'm feeling
-
like for the sake of teaching. If not, we are
-
keeping this now. We will take one hour stretch,
-
steady. We will cruise first. One hour. You know
-
yesterday what Pastor Victor just gave us? Have
-
you noticed that one hour is more for us now?
-
When praying in tongues, have you noticed that?
-
Yes. In fact, sir, even the time of catechism
-
is even getting distant. Yes. Yes, yes, yes,
-
yes, yes. We either make it two weeks or we make
-
it five to nine. Oh, is that five to nine? Nine
-
to nine. Do you know why? So that when we come,
-
right, other sessions are going to be finishing
-
in the evening. No, let's reason this together.
-
Let's reason. Let's plan. Let's plan this together.
-
Let's plan. Let's plan. So, let's plan this.
-
Come on now. What I'm saying is your mind can
-
understand it. Now, let's reason this together.
-
So, we now have morning session. We now have
-
afternoon session. We take our lunch. Right?
-
So, when we take our lunch, we're not coming
-
for a session. We now enter town. Whatever that
-
we have learned, we go and practicalize it. You
-
get? So, from that afternoon, Till five, we are
-
unfilled. Right? Yeah, so for example now, when
-
we finish tongues, interpretation of tongues,
-
and then prophecy, right? By then we have been
-
taught on baptism with the Holy Ghost, right?
-
So we have the knowledge. And how to get people
-
baptized with the Holy Ghost. Right? So when
-
we now go out that afternoon, are you all with
-
me? We are making a good plan now. So we will
-
now go out. When we now go out. We now do that.
-
Everybody. When we now do it, from where you
-
are, you're not going home. We are coming back
-
here. So when we come back here, we'll take like
-
two hours to refresh in the Holy Ghost tongues.
-
Then we'll now have evening session. Does this
-
look like believers meeting? Praise God. Hallelujah.
-
Somebody say oh boy. Praise God. It's your church.
-
Church will kill you. It has never killed us.
-
It has given us eternal life. I will say this
-
before we start. When I was in university, because
-
I've been, this thing we have been doing, I've
-
been doing it from primary school till now. Let
-
me use the word that they use. We've been church
-
boys. I got to university. Then someone told
-
me, someone very close to me, he told me, he
-
said, they used to say I'm smart. They used to
-
say I'm smart. I'm still smart. So, So when I
-
got to university, we got to university to graduate
-
with first class, but we got busy with watching
-
movies and we're doing this, you know. But in
-
between, we're still doing ministry, you know,
-
but we're not reading books, not reading our
-
books. So after one year, they released my results.
-
We got, see, we entered to get first class and
-
also 2 .98, 2 .98 in five bands. Second class
-
lower. Ah. That was the first time I understood
-
the power of association. All the people we watch
-
movies with were on two points. All of us. Even
-
the ones studying medicine. But you know 2 .89
-
in medical school is a pass. So then their names
-
came out, they are pass. I changed my friends
-
first year. Second year, I changed a classroom.
-
So, then this person called me. He said, I noticed
-
that. You've been wasting your time. You've been
-
saying you're doing church, church, church, church,
-
church. And you're not reading your books. Even
-
me with my church, I still graduated close to
-
first class. 4 .4 something. That's what I'm
-
trying to tell me. I just forgot about the distance.
-
I continue on my life. Fast forward into many
-
years. I'm in Cyprus. Now say, see, I'm proud
-
of you people. Because, you see, ministry is
-
your life. This is what you should be doing.
-
This is this, this, this, this. I say, what were
-
we doing before? Be hardworking. Excel in academics.
-
Excel in your natural life. Excel in business.
-
Excel in everything. But ensure that your relationship
-
with Jesus, the work of ministry is first. Hallelujah.
-
Let me say like Paul would say, everything shall
-
pass away. Your certificate will pass. Everything,
-
whatever. In fact, Christ would say, the life
-
of a man is not consisted in the abundance of
-
things he works. Yes. Say, I found meaning. I've
-
found meaning. And that meaning is defined. And
-
that meaning is defined. And that meaning is
-
established in Christ Jesus. And I'm going to
-
follow it till the end. Hallelujah. Interpretation
-
of tongues. Are we all here? Yes, interpretation
-
of tongues. Let's go. Interpretation of tongues.
-
1 Corinthians chapter 14. Verse 5, everybody.
1 Corinthians 14 chapter mention
-
1 Corinthians chapter 14, verse 5. I would that
-
ye all, what? Speak with tongues. We already
-
established all, right? But rather that ye may,
-
what? That ye, what? For greater is he that prophesied
-
than he that speaketh with tongues, except he
-
what? That the church may receive what? A defiant.
-
Praise God. Right? So which means that tongues
-
cannot be understood except they are what? Interpreted.
-
And in the believer is tongues and in the believer
-
is interpretation. Have we established that?
-
That the believer has tongues and the believer
-
also has what? Interpretations. Praise God. Now,
-
the word interpretation. Oh, before we go that,
-
let's go to that chapter 12. Let's read chapter
-
12 so that we establish a proper doctrine there.
-
1 Corinthians chapter 12. Verse 10. To another,
1 Corinthians 12 chapter mention
-
the walking of miracles, to another prophecy,
-
to another discerning of spirits, to another
-
what? Diverse kinds of tongues. If you're using
-
King James Version, you see that diverse is italicized.
-
Which means that in the original context, it
-
wasn't what? It wasn't there. Just say kinds
-
of tongues. Right? And when you check the original
-
word for that, kinds, it talks about nation.
-
A people. Right? Yes. So a people with a kind
-
of tongue. Praise God. To another, the interpretation
-
of what? Of tongues. So in the believer, we have
-
tongues. And in the believer, we have what? Interpretation
-
of what? Of tongues. Praise God. Is that okay?
-
Good, so interpretation. That word interpretation,
-
which we have handled here, is from the word
-
diarmenio. Diermenio. D -I -E -R -M -E, the Greek
-
word for it, D -I -E -R -M -E -N -E -U -O. Diermenio.
-
D -I -E -R -M -E -N -E -O -U -O. Which is a combination
-
of two Greek words, dia and hermenio. Diermenio.
-
D -I -E -R -M -E -N -E -U -O. From two words,
-
dia and what? Hermenio. Hermenio is H -E -R -M
-
-E -N -U -E -O. Same word with dia, just put
-
her. H -E -R. Dia means two. In the midst of
-
two. Between two. D -I -A, dia, means what? Two.
-
In the midst of two. Amongst two. Please don't
-
forget we are talking about interpretation of
-
what? Tongues. We have already established tongues,
-
right? That is for all believers. It's in all
-
believers. And all believers should pray in tongues.
-
Are we here? So now we are talking about interpretation
-
of what? Of tongues. So in the midst of two,
-
dia means in the midst of two, between two or
-
amongst two. So whereas, hermeneo implies to
-
explain or to expound. To explain. Hermeneo is
-
what? To explain. To expound. So if we are going
-
to now define diarmeneo properly, we are going
-
to say, To give detail or complete explanation.
-
To give detail or complete explanation. To give
-
detail or complete explanation. That is to cut
-
across two languages. Daya, Hermenio. Hermenio
-
is said to explain, right? Daya means in the
-
midst of two, right? So, dia hermenio or dia
-
menio, right? It means to give complete or detailed
-
explanation. And such type of explanation cuts
-
across two communications. Two languages. Such
-
communication will cut across what? Two languages
-
and more. Are we all here? Yes, so that is their
-
menu. So what we are saying is that when we have
-
interpretation of tongues, is that now we are
-
bringing importance, right, to tongues. So when
-
I pray in tongues and I interpret it, now I bring
-
significance to it. Hallelujah. It does not become
-
a jest again. It does not become a mockery. Are
-
we all here? So when a tongue is interpreted,
-
you know we said diarmenia means to do what?
-
To explain, complete explanation, a detailed
-
explanation, right? So now when I interpret tongues,
-
what is happening is that I'm bringing a complete
-
explanation. I'm bringing significance. To the
-
communication. Are we all here? Is it clear so
-
far? So, for example, now, 1 Corinthians 45,
-
where we read, he said, I will that ye all speak
-
with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied.
-
For greater is he that what? Prophesied than
-
he that speaketh with what? Except he what? Except
-
your Bible. Except he. Except he interprets.
-
So take the meaning of diarmenio and put in that
-
place. Except he what? Interprets. So you see,
-
when he gives a complete explanation, then the
-
church is what? Edified. Are we all here? The
-
church is edified. See verse 13 now. 1 Corinthians
-
14, 13. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my
-
spirit what? No, no, no, 13, sorry. 1 Corinthians
-
14, 13. Wherefore, let him that speaketh in an
-
unknown tongue pray that he what? That he interprets.
-
Who interprets? Who interprets? The speaker.
-
Amen? Perfect. We're all here then. 26, verse
-
26. How it is then that brethren, when you come
-
together, every one of you, all of you, Every
-
one of you had a psalm, had a doctrine, had a
-
tongue, had a revelation, had a what? Interpretation.
-
Let all things be done unto what? Edifying. Does
-
this look like verse 5? That when you pray in
-
tongues and you interpret, edification comes
-
to the church. Does it look like it? Perfect.
-
We are all on the same line now. Verse 27 now.
-
If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it
-
be by two or at most by three. Let's under by
-
cause and let one what? Interpret. Can you see
-
interpretation again? So all the place you have
-
seen, tongues, tongues, tongues. The next thing
-
you have seen is what? Interpretation. Let there
-
be interpretation. Praise God. Because that's
-
where significance come to it. Are we all here?
-
C28. But if there be no interpreter, let him
-
keep silence in the church. And let him speak
-
to himself. And what? Somebody will say. That
-
is it. I don't know why they keep disturbing
-
us. About this tongue stone. They say if there
-
be no interpreter. Then we should do what? We
-
should shut up. Let me say the one that. You
-
know. The pastor said, which tongue is that?
-
Tongues of my people. You know, I told my wife,
-
I said, for a long time, I had something to do
-
with Yoruba people. I had a long time. But some
-
people were arguing then in family house that
-
they know I will marry a Yoruba person. They
-
were seriously arguing in the kitchen. Even in
-
the midst of, there were lots of Igbo people
-
around. They said, no, they know. And for whatever
-
reason, I need to know. Every other information
-
concealed. That was a joke. Praise God. Hallelujah.
-
Oh my God. Oh, not by God. Ah, okay. We are back.
-
Let me be serious. Let me be serious. Oh God.
-
Thank you, Jesus. So, so what we see in the scriptures,
-
we see interpretation and interpret. Interpretation
-
and what? Interpret, interchangeably, right?
-
Yeah, so. We see that interpretation and interpret
-
is from same word, Hermenia. Right? Hermenia.
-
From the same root word, Hermenio. So, which
-
means, it implies to give what? To give meaning.
-
To expound. Right? Right, to give meaning. However,
-
Hermenio in itself is not complete yet. Because
-
when you Hermenio, right, what is happening is
-
that you are leaving some information. But when
-
you diarmenio, you ensure that all informations
-
are passed across. Are we all here? Because what
-
is happening is that now, you are going to cut
-
across everywhere to ensure that there is proper
-
understanding. Question. Luke 24, 27. Now, let's
-
see. What Jesus did, he didn't do diarmenio.
-
He did what? He did what? The Emmanuel. Luke
-
24, verse 27. Then he said from 25, then he said
-
unto them, all fools and slow of heart to believe
-
all that the prophets have what? All that the
-
prophets have what? All that the prophets have
-
what? Spoken, we have had that in this church
-
now, so don't get cold on me. 26, ought not Christ
-
to have suffered these things and to enter into
-
his what? 27, all together. And beginning at,
-
and beginning at, was Moses written in English
-
language? Was Moses written in English language?
-
It was written in what? In Hebrew, right? And
-
all the prophets, praise God, he expounded unto
-
them in what? In all what? Scriptures, the things
-
concerning what? Himself. Pastor Victor taught
-
us here, right? The primary languages that the
-
scripture was written is what and what, what
-
and what, what and what? Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic.
-
Does it look like English language to you? So
-
if now I want to explain something in Hebrew,
-
in Greek and Aramaic to you, and I just only
-
use Greek. And then I needed to carry an important
-
information that have a contextual meaning that
-
should help you. And that word is now in Hebrew.
-
I said Greek, right? The first. Okay, let's start
-
with Hebrew. And then I have an important information
-
that will carry a good context in Greek. And
-
I refuse to say anything about it. And in the
-
midst where I'm supposed to make that emphasis,
-
I'll tell you that. Hope you understand. I conceal
-
it entirely and don't say it. And I finish. Will
-
it leave you with understanding or it will leave
-
you with questions? Eh? It will leave you with
-
questions because the communication is not complete.
-
Amen? So, what Jesus did here, he said, I'm beginning
-
at Moses and what? All the prophets, he expounded.
-
That word expounded is diarmenio. On to them,
-
in what? Underline the word. It's your Bible.
-
Underline the word. All the scriptures. The things
-
concerning who? Himself. Hallelujah. Praise God.
-
That's what Christ did. And that's what we are
-
seeing. Praise God. Are we all here? Are we all
-
here? So that word expounded was translated from
-
the same Greek word, which means to explain in
-
detail and completely. In detail. And what? Completely.
-
So Jesus didn't just barely read the Old Testament
-
and just, you know, just went through events
-
and stories like that and just passed by. No,
-
no, no, no, no. What he did is that he systematically
-
cut across every part of the scriptures to talk
-
about the things concerning himself. So diarmenio
-
is that you are systematically cutting across
-
what? Everywhere. To give a complete explanation.
-
Are we all here? This is important when it comes
-
to interpretation of tongues. Because it's going
-
to help us. Amen? Good. So now, hence when we
-
say interpretation of tongues, right? Are we
-
all here with me? When we say interpretation
-
of tongues, we're not talking about translation
-
of tongues. Please write it down. When we say
-
interpretation of tongues, we don't mean what?
-
Translation of what? Of tongues. That's why Pastor
-
Victor mentioned, when I heard it, I was laughing.
-
That G .P .T. is now... translating tongues.
-
Because he's not interpreting it. In fact, I
-
don't know. JGBT will tell you that this is a
-
gibberish. It's a confused language. I want to
-
say something, but let me keep quiet. He's not
-
a brother. So interpretation of tongues is not
-
what? Translation of tongues. Why? We have established
-
that tongues is a supernatural what? Communication.
-
It's a supernatural language. So it's not translated.
-
It can only be interpreted. Hallelujah. Praise
-
God. Praise God. So we can't say explain your
-
tongues. Because if we are saying you should
-
explain your tongues, what we are saying directly
-
is that we are carrying all the syllables of
-
what you are saying, right? And we are not giving
-
meaning to them. That's confusion. Praise God.
-
But rather it is what? Interpretation of what?
-
Of tongues. Are we all here? Are we all here?
-
Are we all here? So when we say interpretation
-
of tongues, again, what we are saying in essence
-
is that we are giving meaning to tongues. We
-
are uncovering the information inside tongues.
-
We are uncovering the information inside tongues.
-
You see, this should be a huge comfort to your
-
heart that you're not just praying in tongues
-
only, but you can interpret the tongues. Hallelujah.
-
That you are uncovering the information, what?
-
In the tongues. So there is an explanation to
-
the outcome of your discussion with God. Praise
-
God. Let me say this, it's so beautiful. There
-
is an explanation to the what? To the outcome
-
of your discussion with God. So, having said
-
this, We will say this now. Interpretation of
-
tongues does not come from your mind. It comes
-
from the Spirit. You see why you cannot translate
-
it? Interpretation of tongues comes from where?
-
It does not come from your what? Your mind. It
-
comes from where? Your Spirit. The same source.
-
The Spirit gives tongues is also the Spirit that
-
gives what? Interpretation. Hallelujah. So, what
-
interpretation does from the spirit is that interpretation
-
brings explanation to the human mind. So that
-
the human mind can understand and be edified.
-
Interpretation of tongues brings what? Explanation
-
to the what? To the human mind. Not that from
-
the human mind interpretation comes. But rather,
-
interpretation of tongues comes from the spirit
-
to where? To the human mind. So that the human
-
mind can understand and be edified. Are we all
-
here? Praise God. Praise God. So now, 1 Corinthians
-
chapter 14 verse 1 now. 1 Corinthians 14, verse
-
1. 1 Corinthians 14, verse 1. Follow after charity
-
and desire spiritual words. Please, media team,
-
that you are not putting this thing online. I
-
hope you are going through your Bible. Okay.
-
Follow after charity. Verse 1. Everybody. Follow
-
after charity and desire what? But rather that
-
ye may prophesy. Amen. 2. For he that speaketh
-
in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men but
-
unto God. We have done much more work on this.
-
For no man understand how be it in the spirit
-
he speaks what? Mysteries. But he that prophesies
-
speaketh not unto men and speaketh unto men to
-
edification. Right? Can you see that prophecy?
-
Unto men is what? Edification. Tongues plus interpretation
-
is what? Prophecy. Which brings what? Edification.
-
That's what is in verse 5. Are we all here? And
-
exhortation and comfort. Verse 4. He that speaketh
-
in an unknown tongue edified what? Himself. Because
-
it's a communication between you and God. Right?
-
But he that prophesied edified what? The church.
-
Five now. I would that ye all speak with tongues,
-
but rather that ye prophesy. For greater is he
-
that prophesied than he that speaketh with tongues,
-
except he interprets that the church may receive
-
what? Edifying. Prophecy edifies. Tongues and
-
interpretation of tongues also edifies. So that
-
is where tongues plus interpretation becomes
-
what? Prophecy. I say add another equal to noun
-
edification. Is it clear? Is it clear? You see,
-
that's why I say, anytime you talk about tongues,
-
don't ever stop there. They say, I want to pray
-
in tongues. Don't stop there. Say, I want to
-
pray in tongues and what? Interpret or what?
-
Prophesy. Is that clear? Is that clear? You see,
-
when that happens, oh boy, the place will be
-
on fire. Praise God. Praise God. Are we all here?
-
So now, verse 1. We're going to do a little word
-
study and then build on this. Oh, perfect. Verse
-
1 now. Verse 1 started by saying follow after.
-
That word follow after is translated from the
-
Greek word dioko. Dioko. D -I -O -K -O. Dioko.
-
Follow after. It's from the word what? Dioko.
-
It means to pursue. To pursue. Praise God. To
-
pursue something. To press towards something.
-
Dioko. To press something. To press towards something.
-
Are we all there? Have we written that already?
-
Dioko. D -I -O -K -O. Follow after. That word
-
follow after means dioko. To pursue. To pursue.
-
To press towards. Then we now have charity. We
-
know charity, Agape. Everybody knows charity.
-
If my Bible is charity, in your translation,
-
it might be what? It might be love. Praise God.
-
Are we all there? So I don't need to give this
-
one. So the word desire is a follow after charity
-
and desire. You see, we are doing a word study
-
now. We are going... In that verse now. We're
-
still in verse 1. The word desire. There's a
-
reason for that. The word desire. Are we all
-
there? It's from the Greek word zelo. Zelo. Z
-
-E -L -O -O. Zelo. I love this word. I love this
-
word. And that word zelo means to boil with passion.
-
To boil over something with passion. To boil.
-
To boil. When you check the root word for zillow,
-
you realize that that meaning is that what? To
-
be hot. To be hot. When you check the root word
-
for zillow, z -e -l -o -o, it means what? The
-
root word for it is to be hot, to be fervent.
-
Amen? So which means the believer should not
-
have desires after the things of the Spirit that
-
are just casual. Praise God. So your desire should
-
not be what? Your desire for the spiritual should
-
not be what? Casual. It should be hot. It should
-
be on fire. It should be fervent. Then the next
-
thing there you see is gifts. So if you check,
-
if you're using King James Version like mine,
-
you see the gifts there is italicized, right?
-
Now, by now, I don't even need to say it again.
-
By now, I'll just move on. By now, if you're
-
using King James Version, anytime, if you're
-
seeing... If you are seeing a word that is bent,
-
just know that translators bended it inside.
-
I don't know if there is a word like that. Yes,
-
for English meaning. So that the human mind can
-
understand. Are we all there? But we have learned
-
in this church that that word there is not what?
-
Gifts. You talk about what? Spirituals, right?
-
Have we not learned it here? Have we been taught
-
about it? Church, have we been taught about it?
-
Okay. Before we tear out a sheet of paper now.
-
I'll write a fast quiz. And then we say spiritualize
-
is what? Tell me now, spiritualize is what? Pneumaticus,
-
right? Okay, so let's move on now. Are we all
-
here? So he now says what? Follow after. Pursue
-
love. And also what? Be fervent. Boiled with
-
passion. Regarding what? Spirituals. But he now
-
say. But rather that ye may what? Prophesy. That
-
word rather. Write it down. That word rather.
-
Because now somebody will say. That is why he
-
say. If I can't actually follow the spirituals.
-
I think I better stick with my prophecy. I think
-
my prophecy is okay. That's why did that place
-
say rather. If I stay. No. That's not what the
-
scripture says there. So, write the word rather.
-
So, that word rather is translated from the word
-
malon. Malon. M -A -L -L -O -N. Malon. M -A -L
-
-L -O -N. And the meaning of malon means much
-
more. Can you see? It's not the rather in your
-
English language. Paul would have not been writing
-
this in English, no? Right? Yeah, so much more.
-
He said much more or so much the more. Malon.
-
Much more or what? So much what? The more. I'm
-
saying this here so that when we finish now,
-
we will now use all the meanings and you'll put
-
in that verse and read it. Amen? So, much more.
-
It does not refer to opposites. That word rather
-
prophesy does not refer to what? Opposite. He's
-
not saying follow after. Oppositely. Just what?
-
Prophesy. No. It does not refer to the opposites.
-
Much more or so much what? The more. Prophecy
-
now. That word prophecy from the Greek word prophetio.
-
Which implies to speak by inspiration. Prophetio
-
to speak by inspiration. Prophetio. P -R -O -P
-
-H -E. Prophet. Teuo. T -E -U -O. Just a T. Just
-
a T -E -U -O. Profe. T -E -U -O. It means to
-
speak by inspiration. Hallelujah. Praise God.
-
So with what we have done now, this short word
-
study now, let's carry it and put it inside verse
-
1. Everybody now. Are we all there? Can we do
-
that? Can we do that? Can we do that? Okay, let's
-
put it. Yes, pursue after charity and boil with
-
passion over spirituals, but much more that you
-
may speak by what? So what he's saying is the
-
same thing. Hallelujah. He's not saying that
-
if you feel spirituals are not working, then
-
take prophecy. No, no, no, no, no, no. You see?
-
Paul carefully started this communication because
-
the whole of that chapter is all about prophecy.
-
And we started out by saying that, what is prophecy?
-
What is prophecy? Speaking by inspiration, right?
-
Okay, so when we say tongues plus interpretation
-
of tongues becomes what? Prophecy leads to edification.
-
So the whole of that chapter is about tongues
-
and interpretation of tongues. Or you can say
-
the whole of that chapter is about prophecy.
-
The whole of that chapter is about edification.
-
Praise God. Hallelujah. Do we have this understanding?
-
So you see, when a believer prays in tongues
-
and a believer interprets the tongues, it's equal
-
to prophecy. What he's doing is that he's bringing
-
what? Edification. Praise God. Hallelujah. So
-
you see, that is why you have to, let me say
-
this now, it's coming to my spirit. Your desires
-
regarding the things of the spirit should never
-
be cold. Your desires to see the supernatural
-
should never be what? Should never be cold. Let
-
it be on fire. Let it be on, let it be hot. Let
-
it always be fervent. When we say, pray in tongues,
-
or let me say it this way. When we say, can you
-
hold the hands of your neighbor? Pray in tongues
-
for the next 15 minutes and we do that. And say,
-
give the person a word by the Spirit. Don't begin
-
to do... Just give the person the word. Hallelujah.
-
Let it be. Desire. Desire. Desire. Your desire
-
for the word of knowledge should not be casual.
-
Your desire for the prophetic should not be casual.
-
Your desire for tongues and interpretation of
-
tongues should not be casual. Your desire for
-
gifts of faith should not be casual. Your desire
-
for walking of miracles. should not be what?
-
Casual. Be on fire. See, it should be so hot
-
on fire that when you sleep, you see yourself
-
ministering to people. I'm telling you this now.
-
Should be this. When you sleep, in your dreams,
-
whether you are awake, whether they call it non
-
-REM sleep or REM sleep, any of the sleeps, It
-
should not be casual. Every time you hear a mention
-
of the supernatural, oh boy, let it excite you.
-
Every time you hear a mention of the supernatural,
-
let it what? Excite you because we are talking
-
about your reality. We are taken over by the
-
spirit of God. Hallelujah. We are winning many
-
souls by the spirit of God. We are getting many
-
people filled with the Spirit by the Spirit of
-
God. We are preaching the gospel to different
-
nations by the Spirit of God. How many of us
-
in this meeting have received word for the pastors?
-
Any of the pastors? They have given me mine yesterday.
-
In fact, I've started praying with it. How many
-
of us have received word for any of the pastors
-
throughout this session? How many of us have
-
received what? Matthew, come. Queen, come. Sam,
-
come. Three people, right? I want to set you
-
on sports. Do you know what I would do? Do you
-
know what I would want to give them money? I
-
just started calling names. You are already,
-
your face is turning. Come. Four people, right?
-
Favor, come. Jesus. He said, Jesus. He's the
-
son of the living God. My brother in cap. Yes,
-
come. He said, ah. My chest. It's not your chest.
-
Nothing has happened. He's not the one that did
-
it. Somebody did it. How many people? Is it six?
-
Okay, six people. Matthew, you're going to give
-
a word to Pastor Victor. Favor, you give a word
-
to Pastor Fred. Sam, you give a word to Pastor
-
Chidi. You give a word to Pastor Ifeanyi. Right?
-
They don't need to use mics. Yes. You give a
-
word to Pastor Ifeanyi. Okay, Pastor Ima is there.
-
Yes, you come and meet them and give them the
-
word. Give a word to Pastor Ima. Yes, go and
-
give him a word. You people want to be receiving
-
in this church? Not under my watch. We'll lay
-
hands on you. We will pray for you. We will lay
-
hands. After this service, some people are planning
-
in their heart already to come and take again.
-
Ah, you give me a word. We have two minutes for
-
that. Yes, yes, yes. Thank you, Father. Thank
-
you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord.
-
Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you,
-
Lord. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. Praise
-
God. Oh, praise God. Praise God. Oh, praise God.
-
Oh, praise God. Thank you, Father. Thank you,
-
Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Praise God. Glory. Hallelujah.
-
We're going to have more practical session in
-
the next session. Amen. We just have a small
-
part to just add on interpretation of tongues
-
so that there will be more clarity. You see,
-
the sister, I say she should sit. She's not here
-
again. Ah. Ah, Lord Almighty. I will give her
-
a word by the spirit. I'm telling you, she will
-
never be this wind move everywhere. Praise God.
