  1. Welcome to NECF Sermons. Each message here is

  2. designed to uplift and strengthen you in your

  3. walk with God. Don't miss out. Stay with us until

  4. the end for a rewarding experience. Let's dive

  5. right in. It's good to be here this evening again

  6. to share the Word of God with us. To continue

  7. from where we stopped on Sunday, like I said

  8. on Sunday, as we teach, as we teach, you have

  9. to believe that the power of God is at work and

  10. that as the word of God comes, that you will

  11. receive. Hallelujah. As the word of God comes,

  12. that you what? You will receive. The word of

  13. God comes that you will receive. Hallelujah.

  14. Can we open our scriptures to Acts of Apostles?

  15. Acts of Apostles. Acts verse. chapter 10 that's

  16. chapter 10 at chapter 10 Verse 44. Acts chapter

    Acts 10:44

  17. 10, verse 44. The title of the teaching is still

  18. the power gifts. The power gifts of God that

  19. is at work in the believer. Acts chapter 4, chapter

    Acts 4 chapter mention

  20. 10, verse 44. It says, while Peter was still

  21. speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon

  22. all those who heard. the word right so peter

  23. was teaching peter was explaining about what

  24. christ has done peter was preaching the word

  25. of salvation right he was preaching this in cornelius

  26. house and to his family members and to people

  27. that were there and while he was preaching i

  28. was preaching right They were expecting to believe,

  29. right? So it was actually invited to teach them

  30. about the power of God, which is the salvation

  31. message. And while Peter spoke, what happened?

  32. He said, the Holy Ghost fell upon them. It means

  33. that they received what they were expecting.

  34. Do we get it? Peter was teaching and they received

  35. the Holy Ghost because the reason why they told

  36. Peter to come was to come preach to them. that

  37. they might understand the message of Christ and

  38. the power of God much more. And while he spoke,

  39. they received the Holy Ghost. So when teaching

  40. is going, I said that on Sunday, I said when

  41. teaching is going, you must be very expectant

  42. so that you can receive. You must be very expectant

  43. so that you can receive. If you're looking forward

  44. to healing, you're looking forward to deliverance,

  45. you're looking forward to the miraculous taking

  46. place in certain areas of your life, while the

  47. teaching is going on before the pastors even

  48. lay hands on you, you can receive. Right? So

  49. these people were very expectant to receive.

  50. Hallelujah. So that is just to charge us. I'm

  51. going to charge us a little bit more before I

  52. go into the teaching. The reason is because...

  53. Your ability to receive or your capacity to receive,

  54. right? It has something to do with your state

  55. of mind, right? So if you're not expecting to

  56. receive, you're not looking forward to receive,

  57. you're not setting your heart to receive, it's

  58. very difficult for you to receive. So we see

  59. this. Now let's go to Romans 10. Romans 10. Romans

    Romans 10:9

  60. 10 verse 9. 9 and 10. Romans 10, verse 9 and

    Romans 10:9

  61. 10. That if you confess, right, start from verse

  62. 8 so that we can have a little bit of connection.

  63. He said, but what does it say? The word is near

  64. you in your mouth and in your heart. I feel like

  65. taking it a little bit further. Go to verse 7.

  66. Go to verse 7. Or verse 6. Let's start from verse

  67. 6. He said, but the righteousness, of faith speaks

  68. in this way, right? The righteousness that is

  69. of faith. So it's talking about righteousness

  70. that people will receive. Speaks in this way,

  71. say, do not say in your hearts who will ascend

  72. into heaven that is to bring Christ from above,

  73. right? Or who will descend into the abyss that

  74. is to bring Christ from the dead, right? So this

  75. statement is a statement of doubt. So when they

  76. preach the gospel to you, you say, who will bring

  77. the Christ down? Right? How can he come down?

  78. Or who would raise him up from beneath? Right?

  79. How can resurrection take place? He said, this

  80. is a statement of doubt. Right? But look at what

  81. it says. He said, but what does it say? The word

  82. is near you in your mouth and in your heart.

  83. That is the word of faith which we preach. That

  84. if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus

  85. and believe in your heart that God has raised

  86. him from the dead, you will be saved. Do we believe

  87. this this evening? Everybody, do we believe the

  88. statement that God raised Christ from the dead?

  89. We believe the statement. Amen. Good. So you

  90. believe the statement, right? Acts of Apostles.

  91. Acts of Apostles. Let's go to verse 19 straight.

  92. Let's go to chapter 19, sorry. Acts of Apostles

  93. chapter 19. It says, and God, from verse 11 please.

  94. Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands

  95. of Paul so that even handkerchiefs or aprons

  96. were brought from his body to the sick and the

  97. disease left them and the evil spirits. went

  98. out of them. Do you believe this as well? You

  99. see, the yes is going out. Do you believe this?

  100. You know why I'm reading these two scriptures?

  101. Because what Brother Victory read in Mark chapter

    Mark 16 chapter mention

  102. 16 is that when the message is preached, you

  103. believe both the salvation and the miraculous

  104. that comes with the salvation. So most believers,

  105. we stop. at that salvation. The faith that you

  106. used to receive the miraculous and the faith

  107. you received at salvation, it's not different.

  108. As you have believed, as you have received salvation,

  109. the faith to receive the miraculous is in you.

  110. Do you get it? That is what I'm asking you. Do

  111. you believe that you're saved? You say yes. Do

  112. you believe that Christ is alive? You say yes.

  113. If you believe that, therefore, the miraculous

  114. tool, You have to take it along. So that is why

  115. Dan Mark 16, Dan Mark 16 really brings these

  116. two things together. He said, he that believes,

  117. 16, 16, he that believes is baptized and shall

  118. be saved. So most of the believers stop there,

  119. right? He that does not believe is damned and

  120. they stop there. Now this limits us to function

  121. effectively as believers. When you say such things

  122. as verse 17 is not part of what you have or you

  123. need something extra to work in verse 17, it

  124. makes you not to be effective in your faith.

  125. That's a scripture that we read in Philemon,

  126. right? That we might be effective when we know

  127. that verse 17 is part of what we have. So what

  128. is in verse 17? It says, these signs shall follow

  129. them that believe. It's not like, oh, they have

  130. to believe to receive salvation. Then they will

  131. believe to receive. No, no, no, no. It said,

  132. those that have believed, that have received

  133. salvation, these signs will follow them. It said,

  134. and these signs shall follow them that believe.

  135. In my name, they shall cast out devils. They

  136. shall speak with new tongues. And they shall

  137. take up serpents. If they drink any deadly thing,

  138. it shall not hurt them. And they shall lay hands

  139. on the sick and they shall recover. When this

  140. thing was written, Paul was not saved. Right?

  141. Let's say by the time when this war, this conversation,

  142. this was happening with Christ and his disciples.

  143. Right? Paul was not saved. But did he partake

  144. in this? Yes. Acts 19. Right? He said that, in

  145. fact, his aprons were taken to places and people

  146. were healed. So why am I saying this? Because

  147. as we further into teachings of the miraculous,

  148. you must always have it at the back of your mind

  149. that it will take place through you and in you.

  150. It will take place through you and in you. Hallelujah.

  151. Can you say it will take place through me and

  152. in me? The miraculous will take place through

  153. me and in me. It means that you are both. A minister

  154. of it and a recipient of it. Hallelujah. All

  155. right. So let's continue from where we stopped

  156. last Sunday. So you have to keep believing these

  157. things. You have to keep holding on to it, right?

  158. No matter what your physical circumstance is

  159. saying, this is what you hold on to. That the

  160. power of God is at work through me. Now, James,

  161. before we go to James, 2 Kings 2 verse 8. So

    2 Kings 2:8

  162. we're talking about Elijah and the exploit he

  163. did and the miraculous and the power that took

  164. place that happened through him. So let's go

  165. to 2 Kings 2 .8. Now, so this is another scenario,

  166. right? This is another scenario which was repeated

  167. in verse 12 and 14. So he said, now Elijah took

  168. his mantle, rolled it up and struck the water

  169. and it was divided this way and that so that

  170. divided this way and that. so that the two of

  171. them cross over on the ground, right? Of course,

  172. we've seen this in the case of Moses as well,

  173. right? Go to verse 12 to 14. So let's start from

  174. 12. He said, And Elijah saw it, and he cried

  175. out, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel

  176. and its host men. So he saw him no more, and

  177. he took hold of his own clothes and tore them

  178. into two pieces. Next. And he also took up the

  179. mantle of Elijah. that had fallen from him and

  180. went back and stood by the bank of the same river

  181. of the Jordan, right? So he needed to cross back.

  182. And he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen

  183. from him and struck the water and said, where

  184. is the Lord of God of Elijah? And when he also

  185. had struck the water, you see, when he also had

  186. struck the water, it was divided this way. And

  187. that's, and Elisha also what? crossed the river

  188. so we see that this thing becomes so uh it become

  189. a place where both elijah and elijah walked in

  190. right the miraculous and this uh power gift right

  191. reflecting in their lives daily so now there's

  192. something that is spectacular because the bible

  193. in the new what we call the new testament referred

  194. back to at least one of them which is was elijah

  195. so we can open to james We can open to James.

  196. I just pointed that out to show us, you know,

  197. how this is common among the prophets, right?

  198. So the prophet did it. The next one also went,

  199. did the same thing. Now I wanted to show us something

  200. that there were some sons of the prophets in

  201. that environment, right? Those people were walking

  202. in level of unbeliefs. Right? They had some unbelief

  203. in them because it was the unbelief. You can

  204. go back home to study because I have a lot to

  205. go. It was the unbelief that was in them that

  206. was making them tease Elisha. Right? So they

  207. had some unbelief in them and they were making

  208. them tease. So, you know, the Lord will take

  209. your master from you. Right? So they were kind

  210. of teasing him. But when he came back, and they

  211. saw the miraculous that took place. What did

  212. they do? They bowed down. They submitted to him.

  213. So they became his own students. They bowed down

  214. as if, you know, we came down to you. So it shows

  215. levels in different, like different people's

  216. responses, right, to the miraculous. So you can

  217. check that and you will see that that is taken.

  218. Now, James 5 referred to Elijah. James 5 referred

  219. to Elijah in a very... necessary way that we

  220. examine it. We examine it because it's in relations

  221. to what we are teaching. James 5 from verse 13.

  222. He said, Is any among you afflicted? Let him

  223. pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalm. Is any

  224. sick among you? Let him call for the elders of

  225. the church and let them pray over him, anointing

  226. him with oil in the name of the Lord and the

  227. prayer of faith. shall save the sick, and the

  228. Lord shall raise him up. And he that committeth

  229. sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your

  230. faults to one another and pray one for another,

  231. that they may be healed, that ye may be healed.

  232. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man

  233. availeth much. Elias, which is Elijah, was a

  234. man subject to like passion as we hear, and he

  235. prayed earnestly that it should not rain, and

  236. it rained not. On the day, Now, the emphasis

  237. here that we need to see is that from verse 15

  238. first. The prayer of faith. What does it do?

  239. The prayer of faith does what? Save the sick,

  240. right? The prayer of faith will save the sick.

  241. And we see a practice there. Which is, let them

  242. pray over him, right? Anointing him and all of

  243. that. But what we see there that saved the sick

  244. was what? The prayer of faith. The prayer of

  245. faith. Now, verse 16. Let's say the B part. He

  246. said, the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous

  247. man availeth what? Much. Now, let's use ANPC

  248. that we used to use. Right? It's ANPC. He said,

  249. the earnest continued prayer of the righteous

  250. man makes tremendous power available. Now, in

  251. this context, who can tell me the tremendous

  252. power that was made available? What was there

  253. in this context? What is it? Healing, right?

  254. Healing, right? Healing is it. Are we all together?

  255. So healing was the power that was made available

  256. there. Right? So they saw healing physically

  257. and say, ah, effect your fervent prayer of a

  258. righteous man. It means that it makes healing

  259. available in this context. Now look at how they

  260. explain how power is reflected. They pick a man

  261. who had walked in such thing and they presented

  262. him as what? As an example for us that we may

  263. believe that we can walk in these things. Do

  264. we see it? So he said, Elijah was a man such

  265. as like Bashar as us. So they gave him an example

  266. of when he made something, right? In the physical

  267. to seize by supernatural power, which is in this

  268. context, power of prayer. So Elijah made a statement

  269. and in the physical, the manifestation was seen.

  270. So it means that whatever we say in prayer, whatever

  271. we say in faith, we can see the manifestation

  272. in what? In the physical. That is why they brought

  273. Elijah into that context. That whatever you say

  274. in faith, whatever when you pray, right? He said,

  275. he said, there's a man like us, right? And he

  276. prayed earnestly that it should not rain, right?

  277. And it seems not to rain. And when he prayed

  278. again, he shows the intervention of the supernatural

  279. in the natural. And they brought someone. Right?

  280. Who is the prophet of God as us? Let me put it

  281. that way. Right? Who is the prophet of God as

  282. us? Who believe God's message as us? So therefore,

  283. whatever it will come, right? As we see, as we

  284. walk in prayer. So the miraculous can walk through

  285. us. So again, that power, right? That power that

  286. is made available is healing here and we see

  287. it take place. So we see that a man that exercised

  288. the power of gifts was used to teach the power

  289. of prayer. A man that exercised the power of

  290. gifts, he worked in that, right? Was used to

  291. exercise, was used to teach about the power of

  292. prayer. We pray and we manifest the power of

  293. gifts of God, right? That is in us. So just a

  294. quick review. Is it working? Let me save my time.

  295. So just a quick review, right, of what we are

  296. doing. We said that the word of the Lord is already

  297. in us, right? The word of the Lord is already

  298. in us. Therefore, we can walk in the supernatural.

  299. 1 Corinthians 2, 12, verse 7 to 11. 1 Corinthians

    1 Corinthians 12:7–11

  300. 12, verse 7 to 11. You should write it down.

  301. 1 Corinthians 12, verse 7 to 11. It refers to

    1 Corinthians 12:7–11

  302. every man. It refers to every man can walk in

  303. the operations of the gift of the Spirit. Every

  304. man can walk in the operations of the gift of

  305. the Spirit. Every man, 1 Corinthians. So it refers

  306. to every man, right? So every one of us. You'll

  307. see 1 Corinthians 14, which says that when each

  308. of you come together, you have something to offer.

  309. 1 Corinthians 14. So it means that every one

  310. of us can walk in this. Also, we said that we

  311. don't need to do anything special. Like you need

  312. to go on seven days fasting, six days fasting.

  313. While those things are beneficial, right? While

  314. they are beneficial for the believer, right?

  315. I'm not saying you should go all through the

  316. year without fasting. That would be wrong, right?

  317. While they are beneficial for you to put yourself

  318. on that subjection, right? It is not what is

  319. cooking the miracle. You know, like some people

  320. say, it's not what is cooking it. So some people

  321. say, okay, when someone is sick, you have to

  322. go seven days fasting, go and pray first, then

  323. come back. That is not what we see. In the pattern

  324. of Moses, in the pattern of Elijah, in the pattern

  325. of Jesus, we do not see that. We do not see that.

  326. So let's see. The next thing we need to see,

  327. we also said that divine authority hits the physical

  328. realm evidently in the physical, which is the

  329. demonstration of power. Now, let's see. Showing

  330. forth, say something again, that showing forth

  331. the manifestation of power, right, increases

  332. our faith. Increases our faith. So we're going

  333. to see an example from Matthew 11, verse 1 to

    Matthew 11:1–5

  334. 5. Matthew 11, verse 1 to 5. We're going to see

    Matthew 11:1–5

  335. an example there. You would observe that when

  336. Jesus, right, heals people, most of the time,

  337. he tells them, don't reveal, right? Don't go

  338. tell anyone. But there was a time that Jesus

  339. said, go and tell him this, right? So the question

  340. is, is Jesus trying to flaunt to John, right?

  341. Is he trying to flaunt some things to John? So

  342. let's see. He said, now it came to pass when

  343. Jesus finished commanding his 12 disciples that

  344. he departed from there to teach and to preach

  345. in their cities. Next please. And when John had

  346. heard in prison about the works of Christ, he

  347. sent two of his disciples and he said to him,

  348. are you the coming one or we do need to expect

  349. another one? And Jesus answered and said to them,

  350. go and tell John the things which you hear and

  351. see. That means the message, right? And the miraculous

  352. that you see. So let's see. The blind see, the

  353. lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf

  354. hear, the dead are raised to death and the dead

  355. are raised up. And the poor have the gospel preached

  356. to them. Just stay there. He said, go and tell

  357. John what you see and hear. And what is it that

  358. the blind can see? The lame can walk. The lepers

  359. are cleaned, right? The deaf hear. The dead are

  360. raised up and the poor have the gospel preached

  361. to them. So this was what Jesus said, which is

  362. next. Let's see what is next. Verse six. and

  363. blessed is he who is not offended because of

  364. me. So Jesus said, go and tell him, which is

  365. an unusual pattern, right? So what you would

  366. observe, also from John chapter 14, is that Jesus

    John 14 chapter mention

  367. reveals himself for people who wants to believe,

  368. who wants to know the truth, who wants to come

  369. to faith. Jesus reveals himself to them. But

  370. for people who are stubborn and hard -hearted,

  371. right? He speaks to them in parables. So you

  372. will see this pattern in the life of the Pharisees.

  373. You see this pattern in the life of the Sadducees

  374. that knowing their pattern of person, right?

  375. Jesus regularly withdraws himself from them because

  376. their heart is not to believe, but for unbelief.

  377. So in cases when Christ reveals... It creates

  378. when Christ reveals himself. Is that what? Faith

  379. will be what? Released. That faith will be exercised.

  380. Are we together? Yes. That faith will be exercised.

  381. So also, when the supernatural is made manifest,

  382. right, is that people will believe it. Is that

  383. people will make this a point by which they can

  384. stand on and say, Father, I've seen you manifest

  385. this. Then it is possible. It is possible. So

  386. you can just write Matthew 12 verse 2, Matthew

    Matthew 12:2 Matthew 12:2

  387. 12 verse 2, Matthew 12 verse 2, verse 9 and verse

    Matthew 12:2

  388. 14. I think we should go there. Matthew 12 verse

    Matthew 12:2

  389. 2. Can you quickly go there? He said, and when

  390. the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, look,

  391. your disciples are doing what is not lawful on

  392. the Sabbath. Verse 9 to 11. Verse 9. Now when

  393. he had departed from there, he went into their

  394. synagogue. And behold, there was a man who had

  395. a withered hand. And they asked him, saying,

  396. Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day? So if

  397. you observe their pattern, their pattern is that

  398. they wanted to catch him in a matter. They wanted

  399. to hold him down in a matter. So he doesn't reveal

  400. himself because he knows that he's not unto faith.

  401. Now, that they might accuse him. So you can see

  402. that they might accuse him. Verse 11. And he

  403. said to them, what is it there among you who

  404. has one sheep and if it falls into a pit on the

  405. Sabbath will not lay hold of it and lift it out?

  406. Next. Of how much more value then is a man than

  407. a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on

  408. a Sabbath. Verse 13. And he said to them, stretch

  409. to the man, stretch out your hand. And it stretched

  410. out and it was restored as whole as the other.

  411. Glory to God. Then the Pharisees went out and

  412. plotted against him how they might destroy him.

  413. So you see that when the miraculous is even made

  414. manifest in their face because of the state of

  415. their hearts, they couldn't breathe of faith.

  416. Right? So we can see that from verse 15 to 16,

  417. you see Jesus withdrew from them because they

  418. lack faith. Right? We drew for them, you know,

  419. this thing. So when this thing is expected that

  420. they will come to believe, but they are hard

  421. -hearted. They are hard -hearted. All right.

  422. So we see this as regular patterns in Jesus.

  423. So when he teaches and all of that. Now, it therefore

  424. means that showing thoughts, right, the supernatural,

  425. is for faith to be built in the believer. Say,

  426. I have faith. When I see the supernatural, when

  427. I see the supernatural, My faith is strengthened.

  428. I don't disbelieve it and I work in it. Okay,

  429. good. So let's now start the first gift that

  430. is in the power gifts. What is the gift of faith?

  431. What is the gift of faith? What is the gift of

  432. faith? What is the gift of faith? We've established

  433. that all believers have this, but we need to

  434. know what it is so that we can know how to work

  435. in it. We're going to see about four examples

  436. on how this thing functions so that you can work

  437. in it. You know, when you see examples from scriptures,

  438. it helps you to know circumstances where you

  439. can work in it, right? No, write down. The gift

  440. of faith is the ability to receive. Okay, you

  441. can write it this way. It is the ability resident

  442. in the believer. Let's put it so we can put it

  443. in good context. The gift of faith is the ability

  444. resident in the believer. The gift of faith is

  445. the ability resident in the believer to receive

  446. a miracle on behalf. To receive a miracle on

  447. behalf of another. It is the ability resident

  448. in the believer to receive a miracle on behalf

  449. of another who may be unable to express faith.

  450. Okay? Who may be unable to express faith to receive

  451. regarding that issue. Right? Who may be unable

  452. to express faith on an issue. Right? Express

  453. faith, right? Regarding that issue. I guess I'm

  454. able to put that. Faith to receive regarding

  455. that issue. So it means that there are circumstances

  456. that you might find yourself, right? And you

  457. are not exercising faith. A brother can receive

  458. for you, right? He can stand in faith for you.

  459. So when we hold each other's hands and we pray,

  460. right, is because I know that you are overwhelmed,

  461. right? I know that you are overwhelmed and I'm

  462. stepping in so that my faith, right, can help

  463. you to receive. Now we need to check scenarios

  464. that we see that will help us. Now, write this

  465. down also. It functions, it functions or it is

  466. seen in operation. It functions or it is seen

  467. in operation with the gift of healing and the

  468. workings of miracles. It functions and it is

  469. seen in operation with the gift of healing and

  470. the workings of miracles. So someone can receive

  471. a miracle for you when you find yourself in circumstances.

  472. Someone can receive healing for you when you

  473. find yourself in circumstances. Right? So, does

  474. this say something to you? That proximity is

  475. not a problem. You see? When it comes to the

  476. supernatural, proximity is not what? It's not

  477. a problem. You can receive for someone far away.

  478. Now, let's see. Let's check the scriptures. Let's

  479. check the scriptures. Matthew 8, verse 8 to 13.

    Matthew 8:8–13

  480. We're going to check about... about five scriptures

  481. to establish the patterns that we are seeing

  482. when someone wants to receive. So it is when

  483. you want to, you can receive for someone, right?

  484. When the person is in trouble and all of that.

  485. So let's see patterns from scriptures and we

  486. can learn. So the centurion answered and said,

  487. Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under

  488. my foot, but only speak a word and my servant

  489. will be what? Healed. So the servant of the centurion,

  490. was not in that proximity. It was far away. Right?

  491. And the centurion said, just speak a word. I'm

  492. here. So he came to meet Christ that Christ might

  493. go to heal. Verse 11. Verse 10, sorry. Okay,

  494. go to verse 9. Sorry, I don't read that. For

  495. I am a man under authority and having soldiers

  496. under me and I say to this one, go and he goes

  497. and to another come and he comes and to my servant,

  498. do this. So the servant was not there. He came

  499. to receive from Christ. He came to receive from

  500. Christ. Now you can write this down. The recipient

  501. was absent in this context, right? We can write

  502. that the recipient was absent so you can receive

  503. for someone. However, it was a relative. It was

  504. a relative of this centurion. It was absent,

  505. but it was a relative of this centurion. It was

  506. absent, but it was a relative of this centurion.

  507. Okay, so we see that he was absent, but the centurion

  508. exercised faith and they received. And Jesus

  509. ministered, right? So Jesus was the minister.

  510. So you can be in a meeting, you can be in a believer's

  511. meeting, you can be in a prayer meeting. And

  512. when they say, right, people should come to be

  513. prayed for, you don't have to think about yourself

  514. alone, right? You don't have to think about yourself

  515. alone, right? You have to know people that you

  516. have been trusting God for. Then through your

  517. faith, wherever they find themselves, they can

  518. receive. Right? Whenever they find themselves,

  519. they can receive. So the recipient was absent,

  520. but there was someone standing in to receive

  521. for this person. And Jesus means that. Jesus

  522. was wowed. He said, I've never seen this kind

  523. of faith in Israel. Right? I've never seen this

  524. kind of faith in Israel. So you can receive.

  525. Can you receive for your parents when we pray

  526. here? Can you receive for your siblings? Can

  527. you receive for your brothers? Can you receive

  528. for your classmates? Yes, you can. You can. When

  529. you bring their circumstance here and we pray

  530. about it, you can, for them, you can exercise

  531. faith and they can receive. Matthew 17, verse

    Matthew 17:14–20

  532. 14 through 20. And when they had come to the

  533. multitude, a man came to him, kneeling down to

  534. him and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son. for

  535. he is epileptic and suffers severely, for he

  536. often falls into fire and often into the water.

  537. Next. So I brought him to your disciples, but

  538. they could not cure him. Then Jesus answered

  539. and said, O faithless and perverse generation,

  540. how long shall I be with you? How long shall

  541. I bear with you? Bring him here to what? To me.

  542. So in these circumstances, in any believers,

  543. when you see church meetings, you would find

  544. people being brought forward. So the person might

  545. be present, but does not have capacity to receive.

  546. Okay? So what we see here is that the recipient

  547. could not receive because of the state of mind,

  548. because of the ailment itself. So it's not wrong

  549. for them to bring people to sing, but wants them

  550. to be prayed for. Right? Because they don't have

  551. capacity to receive. It could be, how do you,

  552. for example, the deaf and the dumb, how do you

  553. expect them to exercise faith? Right? So people,

  554. how do you accept them to even know what is going

  555. on in the environment? Whether there's a healer

  556. somewhere. Right? Whether there's a believer

  557. smitten somewhere. So people bring them in. This

  558. is the pattern of the Old Testament. Sorry, the

  559. New Testament church. We see it regularly. They

  560. bring them to receive healing. So we see that

  561. this person brought a son. to receive healing.

  562. And the son was not able to receive, was unable

  563. to exercise the faith, but the parent exercised

  564. the faith. So you can exercise the faith by bringing

  565. someone as well. Do we get it? So you can bring

  566. someone to church and the person can be prayed

  567. for and the person will receive healing. Right?

  568. The person will do what? Will receive healing.

  569. Even if the person said, well, this, that, bring

  570. the person. Right? You can exercise faith and

  571. the person can receive healing. So, the one believing

  572. the healing was present, right? The parent exercising

  573. faith was present. So, we see that. The parent

  574. exercising faith was present. So, don't be in

  575. your house and say, Pastor, I sent somebody to

  576. church to come and receive. Where are you? Right?

  577. You that you're exercising the faith. Don't just

  578. tell people who come to church. No, you bring

  579. them. You bring them. You sit beside them. You

  580. encourage them in faith. You tell them you'll

  581. be healed. You tell them the problems will be

  582. solved. As pastor is preaching, just keep believing.

  583. Right? You believe for the person. When they

  584. cause such kind of issues, you come out on behalf

  585. of the person. The person is not believing and

  586. they can't receive. So your presence, your presence,

  587. right? Your presence with the person. Also, we

  588. said the disciples could not cast that out, right?

  589. They could not cast that out. And we can teach

  590. that subsequently, right? We can teach that subsequently.

  591. It's a matter of faith. It's a matter of faith.

  592. It means they couldn't exercise faith for that

  593. to take place, right? They couldn't exercise

  594. faith for that to take place. So the minister

  595. also must what? Must have the faith, right? The

  596. minister, if you're ministering this thing, let's

  597. say you're ministering this to someone, you must

  598. also have the faith. Someone cannot have faith.

  599. He's bringing someone to you. And you're a minister,

  600. you're not doubting it. You will not be able

  601. to help just like the disciples were. So every

  602. minister must believe it. Right? Don't put yourself

  603. on receiving end alone. I only receive miracles.

  604. My own is to receive. Your hands are always open

  605. when you're coming to church. Your hands are

  606. never stretched. You know? Meanwhile, they've

  607. thought of laying of hands. Please. You are a

  608. minister, right? Everybody in this church is

  609. a minister, right? Yes, we are ministers. So

  610. where you want to minister is you must believe

  611. it. You must believe it. Acts chapter 3, verse

    Acts 3:1–11

  612. 1 to 11. Acts chapter 3, verse 1 to 11. People

    Acts 3:1–11

  613. who could not receive it, sorry, people who could

  614. not exercise faith received because someone stood

  615. in God for them. He said, And Peter went up to

  616. the temple at the hour of prayer, the night hour.

  617. And a certain man lame from his mother's womb

  618. was carried home delay -delay at the gate of

  619. the temple, which is called beautiful, to ask

  620. alms from all those who enter the temple. Who,

  621. seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple,

  622. asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with

  623. John, Peter said, Look at us. So he gave them

  624. his attention, expecting to receive something

  625. from them. Then Peter said, Siva or God, I do

  626. not have, but what I do have, I give you. In

  627. the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up

  628. and walk. Right? Rise up and walk. Now, we see

  629. someone who can actually receive here, but what

  630. he's planning to receive is something else. Right?

  631. He wasn't planning to receive healing. His circumstances

  632. were so terrible that he had limited what he

  633. could receive. So just harms. He limited what

  634. he could receive to just hands. But Peter and

  635. John, knowing that they can intervene, what did

  636. they do? They ministered healing. They ministered

  637. healing to this man. So they were the ones who

  638. actually exercised faith. The minister himself

  639. exercised faith for this man to receive. Because

  640. this man does not even know the power of God.

  641. He does not even understand the power of God.

  642. So there are people around you that don't understand

  643. the power of God. There are people around you

  644. that don't understand the power of God. But you

  645. can, because you have understood, receive for

  646. them. Right? There are people around you that

  647. don't understand the power of God. There are

  648. people around you that don't even know what is

  649. miraculous. There are even believers that will

  650. say they don't believe it. They can fall into

  651. this category. But you, knowing the power of

  652. God, you can what? You can receive for them and

  653. tell them you are healed. They will receive it

  654. and go. They can call it anything. The providence

  655. of God, the will of God and all of that. But

  656. the truth is about the matter is you have ministered

  657. healing through you that has been made manifest.

  658. Hallelujah. So the minister can stand in faith

  659. and help people to receive. That is why we call

  660. you here regularly. Come out if you have the

  661. circumstances. Let's pray for you. Right? The

  662. word of prophecy comes to you and it tells you

  663. your circumstances. You are expected to come

  664. out in faith. You see, coming out is an exercise

  665. of faith. You know, some people say, I don't

  666. want to come out. People will know myself. There's

  667. nothing like that. Coming out where you are called

  668. is an exercise of faith. So you come out and

  669. you are prayed for. Mark 2, verse 3 to 4. Mark

    Mark 2:3–4 Mark 2:3–4

  670. 2, verse 3 to 4. Luke 5, verse 17 to 39. Same

    Luke 5:17–39

  671. situation. Mark 2 verse 3 to 4. Luke 5 verse

    Mark 2:3–4 Luke 5:17–39

  672. 17 to 39. Same situation. You can add verse 20

  673. to it just for context. Then they came to him

  674. bringing a paralytic who was carried by four

  675. men. Then behold, men brought on a... Sorry.

  676. And when they could not come near him, yes, good,

  677. because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof

  678. where he was. So when they had broken through,

  679. they let down the bed on which the paralytic

  680. was lying. This is, you know, you should have

  681. good friends. You should have good people around

  682. you, right? People who have faith. His cacos,

  683. they brought him from where? From the ceiling

  684. to enter. So who exercised faith in this context?

  685. Okay. Get you a set of friends. You know, if

  686. you have one, maybe that one will be, they will

  687. not be able to carry you alone to the roof. Others

  688. might be doubting. Get you a set of friends that

  689. walk in faith. Set of friends that can see circumstances

  690. in your life and will not join, will not do pity.

  691. They will not do, they will not do, that they

  692. will be walking in faith to see how God will

  693. bring forth the miraculous in your life. Hallelujah.

  694. So a group of people, friends, exercised faith

  695. and they brought him down, right? And what did

  696. Jesus see? Let's see. And Jesus saw what? Their

  697. faith. These folks that were putting someone

  698. from the road, Jesus saw their faith and he said

  699. to the paralytic, son, your sins are forgiven,

  700. right? He healed the paralytic. So despite restrictions,

  701. right? Despite restrictions, they kept exercising

  702. faith. So they brought him. They couldn't pass

  703. through the door. They went. So despite every

  704. obstacle, what did they continue to do? Faith.

  705. They keep believing. They keep finding a way

  706. to get to Christ, to receive this. So they kept

  707. on finding a way until they saw the minister

  708. and they were ministered to. They were ministered

  709. to. So what we see here is that have friends

  710. who walk in faith. Not friends that you will

  711. tell about your circumstances that will begin

  712. to, you know, pity you and look towards you and

  713. say, you know, there's nothing we can do. And

  714. they would rather even bring down your faith

  715. the more. You know, it's so sad. So find good

  716. friends that receive good word, that grow in

  717. the word, and they can help you in circumstance.

  718. Your greatest help in circumstance is faith.

  719. The moment you drop out of faith in a circumstance,

  720. it's difficult to resolve it. Luke chapter 8,

    Luke 8:40

  721. verse 40. Luke chapter 8, verse 40, 49 to 52.

    Luke 8:40

  722. We see Jairus, right? Inviting Jesus into his

  723. house to receive healing. Let's see what happens.

  724. So it was when Jesus returned. The multitude

  725. welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.

  726. And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and

  727. he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell

  728. down at Jesus' feet and begged him to come into

  729. his house. For he had an only daughter about

  730. twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as

  731. he went, the multitude thronged him. Leave the

  732. case of the woman of history of blood. Go to

  733. verse 49. Go to verse 49. While he was still

  734. speaking, someone came from the ruler of the

  735. synagogue's house saying to him, your daughter

  736. is dead. Do not trouble the teacher. You know,

  737. you don't want people like this around you. Your

  738. daughter is dead. Do not trouble the teacher.

  739. The teacher did not say he's troubled. The minister

  740. did not complain that he's troubled. He just

  741. finished one and he's moving it to the next one.

  742. But when Jesus heard it, He answered him saying,

  743. do not be afraid. Only what believe and she would

  744. be what? She'll be made well. She'll be made

  745. well. Next. He came into the house and he permitted

  746. no one to go except Peter, James and John. And

  747. the father and the mother of the girl stopped

  748. there. Why? Because they were already mocking

  749. the miraculous. They say, oh, she's dead. That

  750. will be crying. Right? They were already gathered

  751. crying there and say, ah, the daughter is dead.

  752. Why is the teacher going in? They were already

  753. mocking. But the teacher, but those who have

  754. faith, they went in with him. Jesus said, Peter,

  755. James, John, you guys are, you know how this

  756. works. You know this is the power of God coming.

  757. And the father and the mother of what? Of the

  758. girl. Get you a company that does what? That

  759. works in faith. Get you a company, get yourself

  760. a company that works in what? in faith, that

  761. exercise the gift of faith, that exercise the

  762. gift of it to receive for you. Not people that

  763. would be in pity party. Can we stand up and pray?

  764. I just want us to pray right now. Can we stand

  765. up and pray? You know, you will pray for yourself

  766. that I walk in the gift of faith towards people

  767. around me. towards every circumstance surrounding

  768. me. You have to pray that you walk in it. You

  769. are not someone who will be pitying people. You

  770. are not someone who will be showing impossibility

  771. in your statements. You are someone who will

  772. walk. Can we stand up? Can we stand up? We need

  773. to walk in this. In the few minutes that we have,

  774. I want you to pray. You know, so that you won't

  775. be among those that will say, oh, go out because

  776. you are not exercising faith. You won't be people

  777. that people will stop coming to because they

  778. know that when they come to you, they cannot

  779. receive faith. You have to be someone who walks

  780. in faith. Who walks in faith towards others around

  781. you. Who can receive towards others around you.

  782. Can we begin to pray in the Holy Ghost? We appreciate

  783. you being here today. We hope you carry this

  784. word with you throughout your week. Don't forget
