  1. Welcome to NECF Sermons. Each message here is

  2. designed to uplift and strengthen you in your

  3. walk with God. Don't miss out. Stay with us until

  4. the end for a rewarding experience. Let's dive

  5. right in. And these signs will follow those who

  6. believe. In my name, they will cast out demons.

  7. They will speak with new tongues. They will take

  8. up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly,

  9. it will by no means hurt them. They will lay

  10. hands on the sick, and they will recover. They

  11. will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

  12. So we are continuing from where we started from

  13. on Sunday. We're continuing from where we started

  14. from on Sunday, still the gifts, the gifts of

  15. healing, the gifts of healing. And what we want

  16. to consider today, or where we're going to start

  17. from, of course, a whole lot of things we're

  18. going to consider, but we have to start from

  19. somewhere that I mentioned I will talk about

  20. today, is how healing is a sign. Okay, how healing

  21. is a sign. We need to go a little bit deeper

  22. into that. The reason is because there are a

  23. few questions that we will answer if we trace

  24. how healing is a sign. So there are a few questions

  25. that that study or checking that will help us

  26. to answer. So, Mark 16 verse 17 says, these signs

    Mark 16:17

  27. shall follow them. And we see that healing is

  28. one of the signs that Jesus mentioned, right?

  29. Healing is one of the signs that Jesus mentioned.

  30. Now, you will wonder, why are they using the

  31. concepts of sign? Why is Jesus using the language

  32. of sign? He could have just said, these are the

  33. things, right? that will follow them that believe,

  34. right? Or these things will follow them. But

  35. he used the word sign. And when you use the word

  36. sign to an audience, it means that they could

  37. try to understand what you mean, right? Jesus

  38. himself is talking to a Jewish audience, right?

  39. He's talking to the disciples, right? And he

  40. said, these signs will follow them that believe.

  41. So it therefore means that they will understand

  42. the meaning of signs. For signs here, is the

  43. word Simeon. Signs in this Greek translation

  44. is actually Simeon, which is S -E -M -E. Signs

  45. is S -E -M -E -I -O -N in Greek. S -E -M -E -I

  46. -O -N. It means... That's the indication of a

  47. message. The indication of a message that they

  48. hold on to. So then that belief, right? The indication

  49. of the message they hold on to are the signs.

  50. So the signs points to the message again. The

  51. signs points to the message. Indication of the

  52. message that they hold on to. And this message

  53. is for understanding and believing, right? So

  54. people that receive this message must understand

  55. it and they must believe it, right? They must

  56. understand it and believe it. They must understand

  57. this message and believe it. Now, the first time

  58. or the first pattern. that we see in the scriptures,

  59. where the Bible used the word signs, right? It's

  60. actually in Exodus. So we're going to trace sign

  61. again from Exodus because we know, right? By

  62. the scriptures, right? When we start reading

  63. the scriptures, we will know that the sign also

  64. in Exodus was pointing to a message, right? The

  65. sign in Exodus was pointing to a message and

  66. it was... I mean, quite interesting to see that

  67. this sign was to both the Israel of that time

  68. and to a king called Pharaoh. So the signs were

  69. to two people, right? Israel and Pharaoh in the

  70. context of what we want to see. So let's check

  71. Exodus 4, Exodus 4, verse 8 to 9. Exodus 4, verse

    Exodus 4:8–9 Exodus 4:8–9

  72. 8 to 9. It said, then it will be. If they do

  73. not believe nor heed the message of the first

  74. words, of the first sign. So it means that when

  75. we see signs, it carries a message. So he's talking

  76. to the people. He said, if they don't heed to

  77. the message of the first sign. So the first sign

  78. was supposed to communicate something to them.

  79. That they may believe the message of the latter

  80. time. So several signs were being asked for.

  81. So these Jewish people like signs. You have to

  82. prove to them by signs. So he said, then it will

  83. be if they do not believe, if they do not believe

  84. you nor heed the message of the first sign, they

  85. may believe the message of the latter signs.

  86. Now this is actually talking to the Jewish people

  87. because Moses was sent to them to deliver them.

  88. But they were doubting it. He said, and it shall

  89. be if they do not believe even these two signs

  90. or listen to your voice, then you shall take

  91. water from the river and pour it on the dry ground,

  92. the dry land. The water which you take from the

  93. river will become blood on the dry land. Is this

  94. not a sign too? He's just adding signs to signs.

  95. Now, so when Moses approached them, they started

  96. saying, well, we are not sure who you are, right?

  97. We are not sure who you are. We are not sure

  98. if you have decided to take us away from our

  99. place where we are enjoying onions and cucumber

  100. and all those stuffs. We are not sure whether

  101. you are actually coming to deliver us or to put

  102. us in more trouble. Of course, later on, you

  103. will see that they accused him of putting them

  104. in more troubles. Now, what we will see, right?

  105. What we will see is that this is not the first

  106. time. That they are doubting Moses' rulership

  107. over them. Now, let's see. The word sign in Hebrew

  108. is the word O -T -H. Right? The word sign in

  109. the Hebrew is the word O -T -H. It's the word

  110. O -T -H in Hebrew. And it really means, of course,

  111. similar to the first one, it means to take away

  112. unbelief. Right? Something that will take away

  113. unbelief that people can't believe. So when the

  114. signs appear, it is expected to take away Israel's

  115. unbelief. Right? It is expected that this sign

  116. that Moses will show them is expected to take

  117. away Israel's unbelief. Now let's see if this

  118. sign did, you know, what Moses was expecting

  119. and what God was expecting. The sign is expected

  120. to take away Israel's unbelief. That means they

  121. will begin to work in what? In belief. Okay.

  122. Now, let's go to Exodus, same Exodus chapter

    Exodus 4:28

  123. 4, verse 28 and 31. Verse 28 to 31. And Moses

  124. told Aaron all the words, the Lord, yes, the

  125. Lord, So Moses told Aaron these signs and these

  126. words. So Aaron communicated the words that God

  127. has spoken to Moses and did the signs in the

  128. sight of the people. So the word... and the sign

  129. can you say again right the creation of the word

  130. and the sign working together now let's see and

  131. the people believed and when they heard that

  132. the lord had visited the children of israel and

  133. that he had looked upon their affliction they

  134. bowed their heads and worship now if you don't

  135. pay attention very well you would think that

  136. this verse that says verse 31 It's almost the

  137. only verse that assumed that Israel believed.

  138. Did you see verse 31? What did verse 31 say?

  139. The people did what? Believe. So we have to check

  140. which belief is this, right? Which belief is

  141. this? So it's not believe unto salvation. Actually,

  142. how would you know if you go to verse chapter

  143. 2? Let's go to chapter 2 first. Exodus chapter

    Exodus 2 chapter mention

  144. 2. Exodus chapter 2. Verse 14. This is the first

    Exodus 2 chapter mention

  145. time, right? They began to ask Moses after he

  146. had killed the Egyptian. And he said, who made

  147. thee a prince and a judge over us? Right? Who

  148. made thee a prince and a judge over us? It means

  149. that these two Hebrew boys that were striving

  150. did not see Moses as a leader. Right? Did not

  151. see Moses as a leader. Now, after he had run

  152. away and he was back, the same rhetoric continued.

  153. They began to question, how do we know God had

  154. sent you, right? How do we know that what God

  155. had sent you? So if you read, now you can go

  156. to chapter four. We can go back to chapter four

  157. now. Verse one. And Moses answered and said,

  158. but behold, they will not what? And Moses fled

  159. from it, right? So the sign started. From the

  160. moment Moses said, these people will not believe

  161. that you have sent me. So what did they believe?

  162. that God had sent Moses. That is what they believed.

  163. That God had appeared to him and had instructed

  164. him to take them out of bondage. So it's not

  165. like they believed the message he said, but that

  166. it's time to get out of this place, right? It's

  167. time to get out of Egypt and that Moses should

  168. lead them. So it wasn't really about like they

  169. believed the message of the gospel. Otherwise,

  170. we knew that this generation, only two people.

  171. were left among them because they all perished.

  172. And the reason why they perished, the scriptures

  173. need us to know, is because of what? Unbelief.

  174. They did not believe the message that Moses was

  175. conveying to them. So they took, they accepted

  176. the leadership of Moses, right? The leadership

  177. of Moses. So when you see consistently, you will

  178. see them asking him a question and questioning

  179. his authority. But we see that through the signs,

  180. Moses was accepted. as the leader of the Jews

  181. to lead them out of Egypt. Now, let's see Numbers

    Numbers 14:11

  182. 14 verse 11. Let's see Numbers 14 verse 11. And

    Numbers 14:11

  183. we'll check some of them. And the last thing

  184. to Moses, how long will these people reject me?

  185. And how long will they not what? Believe me with

  186. all the signs which I have what? I have performed

  187. among them. So it shows you here that they did

  188. not believe the gospel, what God was communicating.

  189. What they believed in that spot was to accept

  190. Moses to lead them out of Egypt. That was what

  191. they accepted. So the signs allowed them to believe

  192. that, okay, probably this guy has got some powers

  193. to lead us out of here and has some authority

  194. from somewhere, right, from God, whom they believed.

  195. So they didn't believe the message. So Numbers

  196. 4 just shows us again that they have not believed

  197. the message, but rather, Rather, they believe

  198. the leadership of Moses. However, we still see

  199. it as a sign and a pointer to the message. So

  200. Numbers 21, verse 6 to 9. So this one, we see

    Numbers 21:6–9

  201. it as a pointer to the leadership of Moses. Numbers

    Numbers 21:6–9

  202. 21, verse 6 to 9. And the Lord sent a fairy serpent

  203. among the people, and they bit the people, and

  204. many of the people of Israel died. Therefore,

  205. The people came to Moses and said, we have sinned.

  206. This is their mindset. We have sinned. For we

  207. have spoken against the Lord and against you.

  208. Pray to the Lord that he take away the serpent

  209. from us. So Moses prayed for the people. And

  210. the Lord said to Moses, make a fairy serpent

  211. and set it on a pole. And it shall be that everyone

  212. who is beaten, when he looks, we watch, we live.

  213. Verse 9. So Moses made a bronze serpent and put

  214. it on a pole and so it was. If any, if a serpent

  215. had beaten anyone, when he looked at a bronze

  216. serpent, he did what? Lived. Right? So in this

  217. context, right, we taught on Sunday that this

  218. was used to communicate, was communicated or

  219. explained much more the spiritual reality of

  220. it in John chapter 3, verse 13 to 15. So the

    John 3:13–15

  221. spiritual reality of healing, of divine healing.

  222. is communicated in John 3, 13 to 15. There's

  223. a reason why I'm saying this. The spiritual reality

  224. of divine healing that we see in Numbers was

  225. communicated in John 3, verse 13. And we realize

    John 3:13

  226. that the word lifted, lifted up. Let's go to

  227. John. Thank you. No one has ascended to heaven,

  228. but he who came down from heaven, that is the

  229. son of man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted

  230. up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must

  231. the son of man be lifted up, that whosoever believes

  232. in him should not perish, but must have eternal

  233. life. So the communication of divine healing

  234. is eternal life. There's a reason why we are

  235. going there. Because it's going to answer some

  236. of the questions that popped up on Sunday when

  237. some people came to ask questions and some thoughts.

  238. The communication of divine healing is eternal

  239. life. And we see that that was from the word

  240. lifted up, which means the resurrection of Jesus.

  241. So the Son of Man being lifted up means Christ's

  242. resurrection. At Christ's resurrection, eternal

  243. life will be made available. At Christ's resurrection,

  244. eternal life will be made available. So, it will

  245. mean that when God was healing them, He was communicating

  246. eternal life to them. As He was healing them,

  247. He was communicating eternal life to them. Now,

  248. one question I would like to ask. All these people,

  249. in their abundance, That were healed in Egypt.

  250. And even people that believed. Right? And were

  251. healed. Did they later die in physical body?

  252. Did they later die in physical body? Good. Now

  253. this is taking us somewhere. Because. If they

  254. truly die, right, in body, it therefore means

  255. that beyond the sign is eternal life that is

  256. communicated. Do we get it? So what we are holding

  257. on to much more is the eternal life. As we administer

  258. healing, as we heal the sick, right, we are holding

  259. on to eternal life. So if this person has believed,

  260. right, this person believed the gospel, The person

  261. is able to be healed and continue the walk of

  262. the gospel. So Paul would say, for me to leave

  263. this Christ to die is gain. So I'm going somewhere.

  264. So it means that the person would continue to

  265. do the walk of the gospel. The person would continue

  266. to live. If the person has not believed, the

  267. person will be preached to and the person will

  268. come to salvation. So the question was actually,

  269. What if we pray for someone and the person passed?

  270. Right? What if we pray for someone and we didn't

  271. see the manifestation, we didn't see the manifestation

  272. of dying and the person passed? The answer, right,

  273. is that the message, if the person has belief,

  274. the message of eternal life is already active

  275. in the person. So you don't have a problem. Okay?

  276. The message of eternal life is already active

  277. in the person. You don't have a problem. If the

  278. person comes to life, when it comes to life,

  279. when we see the manifestation, the person continues

  280. in that. The focus is eternal life. Do we get

  281. it? So, the message, but if the person has not

  282. believed, that is the only time you can say,

  283. this person did not believe. You know, the person

  284. just passed, right? You have some worry that,

  285. you know, we know that they are not in Christ.

  286. But when the person has believed, the message

  287. of eternal life, is already active in the person,

  288. right? That is why when we are administering

  289. healing, even to someone that is sick, you can

  290. preach to them on the sickbed too. Do you get

  291. it? So when we are preaching, we are praying

  292. for someone that is sick and you see that the

  293. person is conscious, the person can answer, but

  294. we are preaching resurrection and the healing

  295. power in resurrection together to the person.

  296. So you're not just saying that I'm trying to

  297. heal the person, right? I'm just trying to, no,

  298. no, we are preaching Christ because where the

  299. healing power is, is where? Is in the power of

  300. resurrection. Do we get it? So in the entirety

  301. of it, right? The focus is the message of Christ,

  302. right? The message of Christ. But we, I mean,

  303. that does not notify that we will not continue

  304. to walk in it. We walk in it. We manifest it.

  305. But we must know that while we are doing all

  306. that, the communication is the gospel. So let

  307. me say a few things I wrote here. I say, although

  308. these people were healed, they died afterwards

  309. because it was physical healing that communicated

  310. an eternal healing to them. So the dilated elf,

  311. it does not modify our exercise of healing. It

  312. does not. It does not nullify because it means

  313. that if you say, oh, because people will never

  314. die, it means that you are not ready to communicate

  315. the gospel through the power of the gifts of

  316. healing. That is what you are saying. You are

  317. saying, I don't want to walk in this one. I don't

  318. want to communicate the gospel through this power

  319. that is at work in me. That is what we are doing.

  320. So you are neglecting what is in you. So it definitely

  321. means that although People might pass, right?

  322. But we must continue to minister healing. We

  323. must not neglect it. We must not neglect it.

  324. I wrote just that the essence of healing is that

  325. we want to see the message of Christ and it is

  326. already revealed in those people. Now let's go

  327. to 2 Kings 20, verse 1 to 6. 2 Kings 20, verse

    2 Kings 20:1–6 2 Kings 20:1–6

  328. 1 to 6. In those days, this guy was sick and

  329. near death, right? So this was someone who survived.

  330. Let's see the essence of the survivor because

  331. I mentioned it in Sunday, but we didn't read

  332. it. In those days, this guy was sick and near

  333. death. And Isaiah the prophet, son of Amos, went

  334. to him and said to him, Thus says the Lord, Set

  335. your house in order, for you shall die and not

  336. live. And he returned his face towards the floor

  337. and prayed to the Lord, saying, Remember now,

  338. O Lord, I pray, I have walked before you in the

  339. youth with a loyal heart and have done what is

  340. good in your sight. And this guy wept bitterly.

  341. And it happened before Isaiah had gone out into

  342. the middle courts, that the word of the Lord

  343. came to him, saying, Return and tell Zechariah

  344. that the leader of my people, thus says the Lord,

  345. the God of David, your father, I have heard your

  346. prayers and I have seen your tears. Surely I

  347. will heal you. On the third day you shall go

  348. up to the house of the Lord. Verse 6. And I will

  349. add to your days 15 years, and I will deliver

  350. you in this city. Right? You see? This is what

  351. God was communicating. I will deliver you and

  352. this city from the hand of the king of Assyria

  353. and I will defend this city for my own sake and

  354. for the sake of my servant David. The communication

  355. of the sign is actually the deliverance of that

  356. city. Right? Communication of the sign, deliverance

  357. of that city. So we see here that someone survived

  358. and when the person survived, what was he doing?

  359. It was deliverance of a city. Right? Deliverance

  360. of the city. Deliver you and the city. Deliver

  361. you. And so we see that function of God's deliverance

  362. made manifest after a sign of healing and the

  363. presence of life. All right. Another question

  364. that popped up during the course. Of course,

  365. we are not answering questions, but while we

  366. are teaching, we are trying to address this question.

  367. The question is whether healing, right? Okay,

  368. the question is, when the part of a body is restored,

  369. is it healing or miracle? So that was what the

  370. prophet asked. Like when a part of a body, for

  371. example, a particular part of someone's body

  372. had been taken away and by the power of prayer,

  373. it was restored back. So the person asked, is

  374. it healing or miraculous? Now, this is the answer,

  375. okay? Don't forget we are coming from faith,

  376. right? And we said one of the things that we

  377. can receive for somebody is this healing, right?

  378. Okay. Now, in this healing, healing is one of

  379. the... Okay, let's put it this way. Healing itself.

  380. So, write it this way. Healing itself is working

  381. of miracles, right? Healing itself is working

  382. of miracle. No, not S. Miracle. Yes. Healing

  383. itself is working of miracle. But not all miracles

  384. are healing. Not all walking of miracles are

  385. healing. Because they are connected, right? Healing

  386. is a walking of miracles, but not all walking

  387. of miracles, right, are healing. So the casting

  388. out of demons, the speaking to the wind, speaking

  389. to circumstances around you, right, addressing

  390. certain situations around you, right, is not

  391. healing. It's actually putting things in order

  392. around you. So healing itself, It's a working

  393. of a miracle, but not all working of miracles,

  394. right, healing. And I gave last year, on Sunday,

  395. I gave the example that when Jesus calmed the

  396. storm, he wasn't healing the storm. He wasn't

  397. healing the storm. I said healing is, it would

  398. take place in the vessel that God can inhabit.

  399. That should also tell you many things when you're

  400. healing someone, right? When you're administering

  401. healing. Is it that God can inhabit that person

  402. or God inhabits that person? It means that the

  403. function of this is for the person to have life.

  404. So inanimate objects that we talked about last

  405. Sunday is something that cannot carry life. Do

  406. you get it? Inanimate is something that cannot

  407. carry life. So something that cannot carry life,

  408. God has nothing to do with it. Table, chairs,

  409. things, God has nothing to do with them, right?

  410. If they interrupt your flow of things in the

  411. natural, you can address them by the power that

  412. is resident in you. Do we get that? But God is

  413. interested in what will carry his spirit much

  414. more. Praise God. So that is the answer for the

  415. healing is actually a miracle, but not all miracles

  416. are healing. Now, the question is, why is healing

  417. spectacular? Right? Why is healing now so, why

  418. is it so distinct? Why do we have to bring that

  419. out? Why did Christ say, you know, this is more

  420. specifically that was mentioned. Healing is spectacular

  421. given that it communicates, right? It communicates

  422. consistently across the scripture, salvation,

  423. right? It communicates consistently across the

  424. scripture, salvation, right? That's one that

  425. we can hold on to for now. We can hold on to

  426. that. Across the scriptures, healing communicates

  427. salvation. And we have seen it across from Genesis

  428. up until... Let's proceed a little bit. John

    John 4:46–54

  429. chapter 4, verse 46 to 54. John chapter 4, verse

    John 4:46–54

  430. 46 to 54. And Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee,

  431. where he had made the water wine. And there was

  432. a certain noble man whose son was sick at Capernaum.

  433. And when he heard that Jesus had come, When he

  434. heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee,

  435. he went to him and employed him to come down

  436. and heal his son, for he was at the point of

  437. death. Thus Jesus said to him, Unless you people

  438. see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.

  439. And the noble man said to him, Sir, come down

  440. before my child dies. And Jesus said to him,

  441. Go on your way, your son lives. So the man believed

  442. the words that Jesus spoke to him. and he went

  443. his way. And as he was now going down, his servant

  444. met him and told him, saying, Your son lives.

  445. Then he inquired of them the hour when he got

  446. better, and they said to him, Yesterday at seventh

  447. hour the fever left him. So the father knew that

  448. it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to

  449. him, Your son lives, and he himself believed,

  450. and his whole household. They believe the miracles

  451. of Jesus. They believe the healing ministry of

  452. Jesus. They believe the miracles of Jesus. They

  453. believe healing ministry of Jesus. Alright. Now

  454. write this down. God's healing is not restricted

  455. to a certain time. God's healing is not restricted

  456. to a certain time. Neither is it restricted to

  457. a few. neither is it restricted to a few. God's

  458. healing is not restricted to a certain time,

  459. neither is it restricted to a few. As long as

  460. the intention of God and the purpose of God is

  461. involved, healing is always available, right?

  462. When the intention and purpose of God is involved,

  463. Healing is made available. Healing is always

  464. available. Right? When intention of God, which

  465. we know is salvation, which we know is the communication

  466. of the message of Christ, healing is always available.

  467. Now, let's see how healing was made manifest.

  468. Because the question is, if Abraham did not have

  469. the Spirit of God, okay, resident in them, Moses

  470. also neither did, right? Resident in them. Elisha

  471. did not as well. How? what was working in them.

  472. Of course, we know it's the Spirit of God, right?

  473. We know it's the Spirit of God. We need to check

  474. again, these three people, to see how it took

  475. place. So in Genesis 18 verse 19, in Genesis

    Genesis 18:19 Genesis 18:19

  476. 18 verse 19, you can write this down. Maybe we

  477. can move a little bit faster. Abraham walked

  478. in healing through prayer. Abraham walked in

  479. healing through prayer. We've read it before,

  480. so I will not read it now. We can write that

  481. down. Genesis 18 verse 19. Abraham walked in

    Genesis 18:19

  482. healing through prayer. So he prayed, right?

  483. He prayed and healing was made available. So

  484. you probably were expecting the Spirit of God

  485. to come on him and make healing made available,

  486. but he prayed, right? He prayed. So that was

  487. what we see in that scriptures. In Numbers 12

    Numbers 12:13

  488. verse 13, Moses also prayed, right? Moses also

  489. prayed. So you cannot think healing. You cannot

  490. wish healing. You have to pray healing. Right?

  491. You cannot think it. You cannot imagine it. You

  492. cannot wish it. You cannot be quiet and say,

  493. okay, I expect healing. You have to do what?

  494. Pray. You have to pray healing. That's why James

  495. would say, the effective fervent prayer of a

  496. righteous man. James 5. The effective fervent

  497. prayer of a righteous man abilites what makes

  498. power available. So the effect healing, Through

  499. prayer. Consistently we see it in this too. 2

    2 Kings 5:8

  500. Kings 5 verse 8. 2 Kings 5 verse 8. Elisha made

    2 Kings 5:8

  501. healing available to make God known. So he told

  502. Naaman, he said, I will show you that there is

  503. God in Israel today. He said, I will let you

  504. know. that there is God. 2 Kings 5 verse 8. He

    2 Kings 5:8

  505. said, I will let you know. Please let him come

  506. to me and he shall know that, okay, he shall

  507. know that there's a prophet in Israel. It means

  508. someone who communicates the message of God in

  509. Israel today, right? So, that's, through that,

  510. the next verses that followed, what happened?

  511. You received healing, right? You told him, go

  512. to this place, go to Jordan, wash, and you will.

  513. be clean so consistently we see that these people

  514. engage in prayer they engage in communication

  515. what we can see there is that the spirit of god

  516. was at work with them i know i said was at work

  517. with them i didn't say in them okay so in them

  518. i said it was at work with them the spirit of

  519. god was working with them in their prayers in

  520. their communication of the message of the gospel

  521. and they are declaring that there is someone

  522. who carries God's message. So, like us today,

  523. when we heal, it is to show that we carry God's

  524. message. When we engage healing, right? When

  525. we pray and healing takes place is to reveal

  526. that we are the prophets of God. We carry God's

  527. message and that message is salvation. So the

  528. Spirit of God was at work with them in their

  529. actions. Mark 9 verse 38 to 40. Mark 9 verse

    Mark 9:38–40 Mark 9:38–40

  530. 38 to 40. Mark 9 verse 38 to 40. Now John answered

    Mark 9:38–40

  531. him saying, Teacher, we saw someone who does

  532. not follow us, who does not follow us, casting

  533. out demons in your name, and we forbade him.

  534. Because he does not follow us. Now, he's not

  535. talking about holding the adoption or anything.

  536. It means that he's not part of this club. He's

  537. a psycho, right? We just saw him somewhere. You

  538. know, the same way they say they see some people

  539. somewhere, they were baptizing people, right?

  540. So he's not in that category. And Jesus said

  541. to him, do not forbid him. For no one who works

  542. a miracle in my name can sooner or later speak

  543. evil of me. Right? So it means that there were

  544. people. who were working in the name of Jesus.

  545. So Christ was working with them. The name, the

  546. office of Christ was working with them at that

  547. point. This is exactly similar to Numbers 11.

  548. So you can put Numbers 11, verse 27 to 29. Also

    Numbers 11:27–29

  549. someone was prophesying, right? I think we can

  550. check that. I think, yes. A young man ran and

  551. told Moses and said, Eldad and Medad are prophesying.

  552. in the camp. And Joshua, the son of Nun, Moses,

  553. I stand. One of his tribesmen answered and said,

  554. Moses, my Lord, forbid them. And Moses said to

  555. them, are you sinning for my sake? Oh, that all

  556. the lost people were what? Prophets. And the

  557. Lord will put his spirit upon them. What he's

  558. doing in the scriptures is to show that people

  559. who have the intention of God, walked in the

  560. things of God. People who had the intentions

  561. of God walked in the things of God. People who

  562. had intentions of God, who had God's body, who

  563. had God's purpose in their mind, they walk in

  564. the things of God. They walk in the things of

  565. God and they cannot be restricted. They cannot

  566. be stopped. They cannot be restricted and they

  567. cannot be stopped. They cannot be restricted

  568. and they cannot be stopped. Now, let's go to

  569. a couple of scriptures. Now, all of these closes

  570. up this teaching in terms of the Old Testament

  571. explanation, right? How they're working in it.

  572. Now, in the gospel, how will they be working

  573. in healing in the gospel, right? This one, we

  574. see that they had God's intention. They had God's

  575. mindset. They want to fulfill what God is doing,

  576. right? They want to communicate the message of

  577. God. And by that, in their prayers, in their

  578. communication, they walk in the sign. So now,

  579. what about in the lifetime of Jesus, right? Which

  580. we call the documents, the synoptics or the gospels.

  581. How did they walk in healing? So Matthew 4, verse

    Matthew 4:23

  582. 23. Let's start with Matthew 4, verse 23. Matthew

    Matthew 4:23 Matthew 4:23

  583. 4, verse 23. He said, and Jesus went about all

  584. Galilee, teaching in their synagogue, preaching

  585. the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds

  586. of sicknesses and all kinds of diseases among

  587. the people. Right? This is just another version

  588. of Acts 10 verse 38. So put Acts 10 verse 38.

    Acts 10:38 Acts 10:38

  589. Acts 10 verse 38. It's quite parallel to this.

    Acts 10:38

  590. He said, and God anointed Jesus of Nazareth.

  591. with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went

  592. about doing good and healing all who were oppressed

  593. by the devil, for God was with him. Now we see

  594. here that Christ is who? Is regarded as who?

  595. The anointed Messiah. Right? In this context,

  596. we see him, he said, anointed Jesus of Nazareth.

  597. Because he's referring to the lifetime of Jesus.

  598. Are we together? So this text is referring to

  599. the lifetime of Jesus and which we have read

  600. in Matthew 4, verse 23. Now, there are four things

    Matthew 4:23

  601. that we can pick from here. There are four things

  602. that we can pick from here. First, sickness is

  603. an oppression of the devil, whichever may. It's

  604. never of God. It's an oppression of the devil.

  605. It's an oppression. And like they said, all that

  606. were oppressed by the devil. Healing all who

  607. were oppressed by the devil for God was with

  608. him. It's an oppression of the devil. Healing

  609. is a good work of God, right? Healing is a good

  610. work of God. So you can know that sickness does

  611. not come from God. God cannot test you with sickness.

  612. He is not interested in how you would react when

  613. you seek. God is not interested in that. He's

  614. not interested in that. He's interested in when

  615. any of those things come, how he will deliver

  616. you. So God is interested in how he will deliver

  617. you. It's the good work of God. What we see here

  618. is also the power of God. He heals all sicknesses

  619. and diseases. So there is no like, there is one

  620. that they will mutate and bring tomorrow and

  621. will be more powerful than the power of God.

  622. The power of God heals all manner of sicknesses

  623. and diseases. So someone will say, oh, the ones

  624. we have today, we are known in Acts chapter 10.

    Acts 10 chapter mention

  625. The power of God, according to the scriptures

  626. that we have seen, He heals every form of disease.

  627. So it shouldn't restrict your mind, right? So

  628. you don't have any restriction that, ah, this

  629. one, this is how the doctor say it will manifest,

  630. right? This is how, oh wait, the same way you

  631. are seeing these signs, right? It has reached

  632. a particular stage. You know, this information

  633. in many occasions comes into our mind. But the

  634. information that supersedes that is that the

  635. power of God heals all sicknesses. The power

  636. of God heals all sicknesses. And so we see this

  637. taking place in the earthly ministry of Jesus,

  638. the healing ministry of Jesus. Now, one of the

  639. things that we know is that the number of people

  640. Jesus healed in his lifetime was not recorded,

  641. unfortunately. Unfortunately, I don't know which

  642. other one, but the scriptures made us to know

  643. that the number of people that are received from

  644. him, all their names were not mentioned. Right?

  645. All their names were in a minute. For example,

  646. the 5 ,000, right? We don't have the names of

  647. who ate, who took extra and all of that. We don't

  648. have those names. You know, maybe that's taking

  649. the time. It would have, you know, filled unnecessary

  650. space maybe in the scriptures. Maybe there was

  651. no message for us to receive from there. But

  652. we can go John 20, 30, right? John 20, 30 reviews

  653. that. There are a lot of things Jesus did and,

  654. you know, we're not recording it. And truly Jesus

  655. did many other words. signs in the presence of

  656. his disciples, which are not written in this

  657. book. So you can say it's John, even in Matthew,

  658. some of those people he healed, no name. No name.

  659. So it means that healing was abundance. Are we

  660. together? Healing was abundance. It was a regular

  661. thing that happens when Jesus preached. It was

  662. a common place in the preaching of Jesus. It's

  663. a common place in the ministry of Jesus. Matthew

    Matthew 15:21–28

  664. 15, verse 21 to 28. Matthew 15, verse 21. Then

    Matthew 15:21

  665. Jesus sent out from dead and departed to the

  666. region of Tyre and Sidon. of the house of Israel.

  667. And she came and worshipped him saying, Lord,

  668. help me. And he answered and said, it is not

  669. good to take the children's bread and throw it

  670. to the little dogs. And she said, yes, Lord.

  671. Yet, even the little dogs eat from the crumbles

  672. which fall from their master's table. And Jesus

  673. answered and said to her, oh woman, great is

  674. your faith. Let it be to you as you desire. And

  675. her daughter was healed from that very hour.

  676. Did she receive the bread too? Did she receive

  677. the bread too? Come on, she received, right?

  678. She received what others can receive by faith.

  679. She received. So it's like healing is regular.

  680. It's common. It's a common place. Right? It's

  681. a common place. We can put it as common place

  682. for the believer. Right? Healing is a common

  683. place for the believer. It's something that should

  684. be regular. We're going to end on these two notes.

  685. First, that is a common place. We'll end and

  686. we'll pray. It's a common place. It should be

  687. common. It should be regular. Right? If you read

  688. Acts, Acts will say that and many signs and wonders

  689. were what? Were regularly done by the hands of

  690. the apostles. Many signs and wonders were regularly

  691. done, right, by the hands of the apostles. When

  692. we continue the teaching next time, we would

  693. dig deeper. So first, it's common, it should

  694. be regular. In your life, you should expect it,

  695. right? You shouldn't expect that it's until you

  696. take prostramore that you'll be healed. No, you

  697. should expect more. Just like I said, the emphasis

  698. of the Bible is on divine healing. So the emphasis

  699. of the believer, most of the time that you foresee,

  700. should be on divine healing too. and little of

  701. the physical, just like the Bible worked in that,

  702. or the Bible expressed that to us. So it should

  703. be regular. When you're sick, when you have a

  704. headache, lay your hands, touch your shoulders,

  705. touch your knees, and you'll receive. Now, the

  706. second one, Luke 5, 13, verse 15. Luke 5, 13,

  707. verse 15. I just want to put this scripture so

  708. that we can know. He said, Then he put out his

  709. hand and touched him, saying, I am willing. Be

  710. what? Be cleansed. So the leprous man was asking

  711. Jesus, if you are willing. If you are willing.

  712. And he said, I am what? Willing. So God is always

  713. willing to heal. Always willing to heal. Right?

  714. God is always willing to heal. God is always

  715. willing to heal. God is always willing to heal.

  716. Can we be on our feet? Just take time out to

  717. pray, right? We just want to spend an extensive

  718. time to pray much more. God is always willing

  719. to heal. Healing is a common place for the believer.

  720. It should be regular among the believer. So we

  721. will stand up and we just begin to pray in the

  722. Holy Ghost, right? We want to give ourselves

  723. to the expression, Of healing. We want to give

  724. ourselves. So that our mind receives it. And

  725. believes it. And we walk in it. We appreciate

  726. you being here today. We hope you carry this

  727. word with you. Throughout your week. Don't forget
