  1. Welcome to NECF sermons. Each message here is

  2. designed to uplift and strengthen you in your

  3. walk with God. Don't miss out. Stay with us until

  4. the end for a rewarding experience. Let's dive

  5. right in. Thank you, Jesus. Amen. So we will

  6. be looking at today the giving of the law. The

  7. giving of the law. I believe that we have listened

  8. to the last teaching, part 20. I don't know whether

  9. this one should go outside the teaching. However,

  10. we'll just continue like that. Amen. So, the

  11. giving of the law. Now, don't forget that, as

  12. we have noted, why we are going this far is to

  13. come to an understanding regarding women's dressing.

  14. although it affects men as well but because of

  15. the series we are on we are focusing on women's

  16. dressing and this part is an inclusion in the

  17. entire series we've been doing the issues about

  18. women liberty and as we said The first scripture

  19. that many people run to each time they discuss

  20. dressing is Deuteronomy 22, 5. The woman shall

  21. not wear that which pertains to a man. That's

  22. if you're using King James. Neither shall a man

  23. put on woman's garment. For all that do so are

  24. abomination unto the Lord. Now, and we answered

  25. already two questions. That is, who wrote that?

  26. We say Moses. And to who was he addressing that

  27. text? And we said the Deuteronomy generation.

  28. Because the Exodus generation had perished, and

  29. this is they are about to enter the promised

  30. land. And Moses wrote this to them. Amen. And

  31. we noted carefully, which is very important and

  32. is going to help us later on, that this generation

  33. as well are unbelievers. Is that okay? Is that

  34. what we said? Yes, they are rebellious generation.

  35. Now, and last thing we did was to look at the

  36. explanation of Jesus and Apostle Paul. And we

  37. saw something very unique. They never called

  38. the Ten Commandments the Ten Commandments. Is

  39. that correct? Yes. So what they explain as what

  40. we call the Ten Commandments is the love of God.

  41. That is love of God. Amen? What you will do in

  42. us and through us. Are we together? Amen. Yes.

  43. So, and... We saw that the Ten Commandments,

  44. they are a revelation of what God would do in

  45. man and through man, in Christ. So in other words,

  46. the Ten Commandments is the gospel. The Ten Commandments

  47. is the gospel. Now, there are questions that

  48. I want to begin to address in this teaching.

  49. In trying to answer the thought questions, why

  50. did Moses write that instruction in Deuteronomy

  51. 22 .5? Now, in trying to answer that that's why

  52. we're going this far, why did he have, since

  53. Jesus and the apostles explained it to us now,

  54. and we now understand that, ah, It's not supposed

  55. to be in that 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, what we call

  56. the 10 today. No. Why then were the gospel, now,

  57. why were the gospel written in that form, in

  58. the form of regulations and rules? Why? Why?

  59. Note, last time we also discussed and we noted

  60. that God's plan is not to write his law on the

  61. tablets of stones. That God's intention was to

  62. write it in our heart. Is that correct? Yes.

  63. So, since the 10th commandment is the gospel,

  64. And we said that Moses' teaching material was

  65. from what he was passed. How then did we have

  66. courses in the law of Moses? Where did they come

  67. from? Because we understood that it was from

  68. what he was given that he started to use to teach

  69. the people. Why did we have courses, sicknesses?

  70. Remember, because we know that as Jesus and Paul

  71. explain it, that the Ten Commandments is a gospel.

  72. And of course, even though they were written

  73. that way, at least we know that there is no curse,

  74. there is no sicknesses, there is no diseases,

  75. there is no disease. Where then did they smuggle

  76. the issue of diseases, sicknesses, death, affliction?

  77. You understand? In the law of Moses, where none

  78. existed in the Ten Commandments. Now, answering

  79. these questions, we will have to understand how

  80. was the law given. That's why we are considering

  81. this the giving of the law. Are we together?

  82. There are certain details that I want us to note

  83. carefully as we continue. And why are we careful?

  84. It's because these details are not just captured,

  85. especially in the Old Testament. The portion

  86. of the Bible we call the Old Testament. And that's

  87. why our sister helped us to read. Acts chapter

    Acts 7 chapter mention

  88. 7. Let's start from there. Are we together? Acts

    Acts 7 chapter mention

  89. chapter 7. And I want to just leave out what

  90. she read from the earlier verses. I'll just move

  91. to verse 37. So come with me to verse 37. This

  92. is that Moses who said to the children of Israel.

  93. The Lord your God would raise up for you a prophet

  94. like me. From your brethren, him you shall hear.

  95. I remember we treated this. This is the gospel.

  96. And when you read, Apostle Peter explained this

  97. text in Acts chapter 3. And he told us that.

    Acts 3 chapter mention

  98. This raising is not like raising a child. It's

  99. resurrection. Are we together? Yes. Are we together?

  100. Amen. And the essence is that he will bring,

  101. he will bless his people by returning them away

  102. from their sins. Why is he called a prophet like

  103. unto me? Moses led the children of Israel from

  104. Capa. into freedom. That is a foreshadow of what

  105. the Christ was to do. That is to take his people

  106. from bondage into captivity. That was why Moses

  107. coded it and said a prophet like what? Unto me.

  108. And that's why he said hear him. Him shall you

  109. hear. And verse 38. He said, this is he who was

  110. in the congregation in the wilderness with the

  111. angel who spoke to him on where? Where? Mount

  112. Sinai. And with our fathers. The one who received

  113. the living oracles to give to us. Whom our fathers

  114. will not do what? Will not obey. Remember? Moses

  115. told them, him shall you hear. But they refused

  116. to what? They refused to hear. Look at it. What

  117. did he say? He said, one of who received the

  118. living oracles. The living oracles. I want you

  119. to look at that word. The living oracles. It's

  120. supposed to be lively oracles, actually. Living.

  121. Not really. Because that word is zao. Are we

  122. together? Zao, the Greek word. And we noted last

  123. time that word living. Lively. Supposed to be

  124. lively oracles. It's from the word we obtain

  125. zoe. Right? Yes. So, zao. Z -A -O in Greek. It

  126. means the life -giving words. It means the life.

  127. Do what? Life -giving word. That's why they are

  128. called the... The lively oracles. And they mean

  129. the revelation or the message delivered by God

  130. to Moses. Now, I want you to note, what did God

  131. deliver to Moses? The lively oracles. That is

  132. the life -giving word. Please note that one.

  133. Very important. That was what God gave to Moses.

  134. But how come? Come to me. Just fold your hands

  135. in acts and come with me. I'm trying not to rush

  136. because I'm praying God will help me. Romans

    Romans 7 chapter mention

  137. chapter 7. We read that text before. I want you

  138. to see something here. Don't forget. What did

  139. God pass to Moses? Lively oracles. Look at verse

  140. 7. Romans 7 verse 7. He said, what shall we say

    Romans 7:7

  141. then? Is the law sin? Certainly not. On the contrary,

  142. I will not have known sin except through the

  143. law. Did you see the problem before we even continue?

  144. He already said, is the law sin? He said, certainly

  145. not. But the same that is not sin, he said, I

  146. would not have known sin except through the law.

  147. He said, for would not have known covetousness

  148. unless the law had said, you shall not covet.

  149. But sin, taking advantage or taking opportunity

  150. by the commandment, produced in me all manner

  151. of evil desires. For apart from the law, sin

  152. was dead. I was alive. Apart from the law, sin

  153. was dead. I was alive once without the law. But

  154. when the commandment came, sin revived and I

  155. died. Remember we... we explain that text. And

  156. we say what the explanation is that Paul is saying,

  157. when I was living without the law, you understand?

  158. I didn't know the consciousness of sin. But then

  159. when the law came, it brought the consciousness

  160. of sin at my state. Are we together? Yes. So,

  161. verse 10. And the commandment which was to bring

  162. life. Please, I want you to note verse 10 again.

  163. The commandment doesn't look like what Stephen

  164. told us. The lively oracles, right? So, the commandment.

  165. Which was to bring life? Or which is life? Or

  166. which life? Do you understand what I'm saying?

  167. Yes. If you remove those things, the translators

  168. added. He said, I found to bring death. Or I

  169. found death. How could something that was given,

  170. meant to give life? Produced it. Are we together?

  171. The reason is because what was supposed to give

  172. life was turned to legalism. Are you here with

  173. me? So, because it was spoken as the gospel.

  174. But you are given to men that reject it. And

  175. so they transform it into regulations. And so

  176. what was supposed to be life now produced death.

  177. It produced death. Come with me. That's the same

  178. thing Paul also said. So it's not here that Paul

  179. only said. You understand? Go to 2 Corinthians

    2 Corinthians 3 chapter mention

  180. chapter 3. So Paul repeated this teaching, this

  181. explanation. You understand what I'm saying?

  182. He repeated this explanation in 2 Corinthians

  183. 3. Let me read from verse 4. And we have such

  184. trust through Christ toward God. Not that we

  185. are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything

  186. as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency

  187. is from God. Who made us sufficient as ministers

  188. of the new covenant? Now look at it. What is

  189. the new covenant? The new covenant is not of

  190. letters. but of the Spirit, for they let us kill

  191. it. But the Spirit gives life. But if the ministry

  192. of the dead written and engraved on stones was

  193. glorious so that the children of Israel could

  194. not look steadily at the face of Moses because

  195. of the glory of his countenance, which was...

  196. which glory was passing away, how will the ministry

  197. of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the

  198. ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry

  199. of righteousness exceeds more of glory. For even

  200. what was made glorious had no glory in this respect

  201. because of the glory that excelled. For if what

  202. is passing away was glorious, what remains is

  203. much more glorious. Because there was a system

  204. that came in between that is to change what was

  205. to give light into letters. to transform what

  206. was to give life into regulations and rules.

  207. That's a hardened man. That's a hardened heart.

  208. That refused, that rejected the word which was

  209. to give life, but transformed them into rules

  210. and regulations, into legalism. That was why

  211. what was supposed to give life now produce what?

  212. Produce death. So Jesus and the apostles, when

  213. they had to explain what was transformed into

  214. regulations, they now return it back from how

  215. it was intended. Are we together? That the message

  216. was that God will do it by himself. Did you hear

  217. what I said? Jesus and the apostles. Now, take

  218. what we call the Ten Commandments and then return

  219. it to how it was originally intended. That's

  220. the message. God is the one to do it all the

  221. way. Are we together? Yes. All you need to do

  222. is to receive. Now, not longer. One, two, three,

  223. four, five. Don't do this, do that. Don't do

  224. this, do that. Don't do this, do that. We're

  225. going to read subsequently. You will see that

  226. is how the law is when you read Colossians. Touch

  227. not. Handle not. You understand? That is the

  228. law. That's the way of the law. But the way of

  229. righteousness, that's why he said the ministry

  230. of righteousness. The way of righteousness is

  231. you receiving God the doer. You understand? And

  232. that's why we saw love. Love the Lord. You just

  233. believe. He comes into you and he produces his

  234. work through you. And that's why we call the

  235. love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus said, the

  236. second is as the first. Because all is by the

  237. Spirit. Say, all is by the Spirit. Hallelujah.

  238. Now, but we need to answer a question. How did

  239. we have it transform into legalism? You know,

  240. that's where we are going. Yes. How did we, how

  241. did we have, end up having it as legalism? Go

  242. back to our scripture. Let's go back to our scripture

  243. where we started. Acts chapter... Look at verse

  244. 51. You stiff necked and uncircumcised in the

  245. heart and ears. You always resist the Holy Spirit

  246. as your fathers did. So do you. Verse 52. Verse

  247. 53. Please look at this place. 53. Who have received

  248. the law? How? By the direction of angels. And

  249. have not kept it. Now I want you to note that

  250. word. The direction of angels. That is. The law.

  251. Was received. Was given. How? By the direction

  252. of angels. This means. Angels were involved in

  253. the giving of the law. Angels were involved in

  254. the giving of the law. Look at verse 38. Go back

  255. to verse 38. This is he who was in the congregation

  256. in the wilderness. With who? Oh, talk to me now.

  257. With who? Who do what? Spoke to him where? On

  258. Mount Sinai. Now, we need to study Mount Sinai.

  259. You know, last week, I deliberately used that.

  260. You know, when we are... I mean, not last week.

  261. Sorry. Not even the last... Earlier, when we

  262. started in this direction, you know, I did a

  263. comparison. It's deliberately a user. I said,

  264. God was the one who gave the Ten Commandments

  265. in the sun directly. And then Moses wrote the

  266. book of the Lord, right? We did that comparison.

  267. Are we together? Amen. But because I'm coming

  268. to teach further, I didn't mention anything around

  269. that. Now you know that God did not give the

  270. Ten Commandments in the way we have it. Are we

  271. together? Are we together? Because what he gave

  272. to Moses was lively oracles. And we said, by

  273. the explanation of Jesus, now again, Stephen

  274. helping us, we now know that that was the gospel.

  275. That the Ten Commandments is the gospel. So,

  276. but we need to study Mount Sinai. That means,

  277. what we normally see there, that we know I say,

  278. and the Lord spoke to him, and the Lord spoke

  279. to him. There is other beings there doing some

  280. things that we need to keep, we need to study,

  281. you understand? Because this is, you know, this

  282. is one of the things that we just brush and leads

  283. us to accord to God or to push the responsibility

  284. of certain things, you understand, toward God.

  285. while God knew nothing about it. Are we together?

  286. So now we know that it was an angel who spoke

  287. to Moses on Mount Sinai. And verse 53 tells us

  288. that the law, the giving of the law, is by the

  289. direction of angels. Now, let's look at that

  290. word direction. Go to verse 53. Who have received

  291. the law by the direction of angels. Now, what

  292. is that word direction? Direction. It was translated

  293. from the Greek word diatage. D -I -A T -A -G

  294. -E D -I -A T -A -G -E The word is used incidentally

  295. in only two places in the standard word direction.

  296. Let's look at the other one. The first one is

  297. at 53. Act 753. But the second one is in Romans

  298. 13. Romans 13. Verse 2. Romans 13. Verse 2. Therefore,

  299. whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance

  300. of God. That word ordinance. Ordinance. It means

  301. the direction. It's a noun. The ordinance of

  302. God. And those who resist will bring judgment

  303. on themselves. To that word ordinance is the

  304. word direction. So direction implies ordinance.

  305. It implies disposition. It implies arrangement.

  306. It implies arrangement. It also implies instrumentality.

  307. That is, you can substitute it and say, through

  308. the instrumentality of angels. Did you understand

  309. what I'm trying to say? Yes. Through the instrumentality,

  310. Or through the arrangements of angels. Through

  311. the arrangement of angels. You see, I see some

  312. of us are not writing. You can't learn like that.

  313. You understand? You can't know God. The church

  314. is a school. Understand that some of us, where

  315. we are coming, It has been a challenge because

  316. the church has not been ordered exactly the way

  317. it's supposed to be. The church is a training

  318. ground. So when you come, you come with seriousness.

  319. We don't want that which was ordained to life

  320. to produce death. Did you understand what I'm

  321. trying to say? No, no, no, no. You know, there

  322. are so many mistakes we are doing. It's because

  323. we have not spent time to learn the Word. Our

  324. attitude towards church needs to change if we

  325. want to see a difference. Hallelujah. So we have

  326. encouraged people to always come with a book.

  327. Understand? With a Bible. Understand? That is

  328. how... To learn. We are students of the word.

  329. Amen. Now that word. Arrangement. Which was used

  330. by Stephen. Was derived from another word. So

  331. that means. That word was derived from another

  332. word. That's to so. That's to so is a verb. In

  333. a sense. D -I -A -T -O -S -S -O. D -I -A -T -O

  334. -S -S -O. And this word, you know, sometimes

  335. you can understand even more about the noun from

  336. the verb. Do you understand what I'm trying to

  337. say? Yes. So, if we go further to study this

  338. arrangement, instrumentality, direction, you

  339. understand? From the verb. And Paul used the

  340. verb. Did you understand what I'm saying? Hallelujah.

  341. Galatians chapter 3 verse 19. Let's go to how

    Galatians 3:19

  342. Paul used the word. You understand? Galatians

    Galatians 3:19

  343. 3 verse 19. Now look at it. He said, what purpose

  344. then does the law serve? He said, it was added.

  345. It was added because of transgression. Till the

  346. seed shall come to whom the promise was made.

  347. And it was appointed. It was appointed through

  348. the, through who? Angels by the what? Are we

  349. together? That word appointed is a verb. That's

  350. the soul, you understand, of what we saw Stephen

  351. used. So, it is appointed. So that means this

  352. death to sow implies to appoint. It implies to

  353. command. It means to ordain. It means to give

  354. order. It means to give responsibility to another.

  355. So, The verb there, to sow, means to command,

  356. to appoint, to ordain, to give order, or to give

  357. responsibility to another. And there are a lot

  358. of places where you can find that, particularly

  359. the verb, it's not just only that. Let me call

  360. those scriptures so that when you go back, you

  361. just read them. You understand? Now, in Matthew

    Matthew 11:1

  362. 11, verse 1, the same diastole was used, but

  363. in that you will see it commanding. That's how

  364. it was put, commanding. Matthew 11, verse 1.

    Matthew 11:1

  365. Luke 8. Luke 8. Verse 55. Luke 17. Now, this

  366. one, from the next one, which is the Luke part,

  367. you will see it as commanded. Commanded. Commanded.

  368. So, this scripture is under commanded. This scripture

  369. is used to show as commanded. Luke 8 .55. Luke

  370. 17 .9. And 10. Acts chapter 18 verse 2. Acts

    Acts 18:2 Acts 23:31

  371. chapter 23 verse 31. Acts 24 verse 23. 1 Corinthians

    Acts 24:23 1 Corinthians 9:14

  372. 9 verse 14. And Titus 1 verse 5. Luke 8 verse

    Titus 1:5 Luke 8:55

  373. 55. Luke 17, 9 and verse 10. Acts 18, 2. Acts

  374. 23, 31. Acts 24, 23. 1 Corinthians 9, 14. And

  375. Titus 1, verse 5. As commanded. Now the next

    Titus 1:5

  376. one is as appointed. Luke 3, verse 13. Luke 3,

    Luke 3:13 Luke 3:13

  377. verse 13. And Acts 7 verse 44. Acts 7 verse 44.

    Acts 7:44 Acts 7:44

  378. And then it was also used to give orders. Like

  379. give orders. Acts 20 verse 13. And 1 Corinthians

    Acts 20:13 1 Corinthians 16:1

  380. 16 verse 1. Then it is also used as ordain. Ordain.

  381. 1 Corinthians 7 verse 17. 1 Corinthians 7 verse

    1 Corinthians 7:17 1 Corinthians 7:17

  382. 17. And then it is also used as to set in order.

  383. To set in order. 1 Corinthians 11 verse 34. Hallelujah.

    1 Corinthians 11:34

  384. Are we together? We are moving together. Good.

  385. So Stephen now and Paul help us to understand

  386. and they explain by the Spirit that the involvement

  387. of angels on Mount Sinai was actually an order.

  388. It was a sign. It was appointed by Moses. Are

  389. we together? It was appointed by who? By Moses.

  390. If we read that part 19, you understand. He said

  391. that, and it was appointed through angels by

  392. who? Oh, are we together? Are we together? He

  393. said by the hand of who? By the hand of a mediator.

  394. In the text of scripture, we only have two people.

  395. One who was assigned by men and one who is the

  396. plan of God. Christ the mediator and Moses the

  397. man -made mediator. We're going to study that

  398. to see how people appointed Moses the mediator.

  399. So I want you to have it at the back of your

  400. mind. When we are talking about that the law

  401. was added, it's not just only the law that was

  402. added, but mediation was also added. Because

  403. that mediation of Moses was not the plan of God.

  404. That Moses mediated between the people and God

  405. was never the plan of God. It's a system of the

  406. law. It was brought by unbelief and rejection

  407. of the gospel. Are we together? So the word added

  408. implies that it was not part of the promise.

  409. So both the mediation of Moses as well as the

  410. law were an addition. It was brought by Moses

  411. through the instrumentality, through the disposition,

  412. through angels. I know some people will say,

  413. wait a minute. How did the angels get involved?

  414. That's why we are taking time to study. And the

  415. reason is that because there are some strange

  416. things we have been seeing that we need to explain

  417. where they are coming. You know there are some

  418. people who have accorded all those things to

  419. God. Are we together? Hallelujah. Amen. So there

  420. would have been no need for the addition. Because

  421. the promise was there. What did... Abraham and

  422. the rest live without the law. Do you understand

  423. what I'm saying? So, there came a generation

  424. that are rebellious. You know, sir? And they

  425. don't want to. They rejected what their fathers

  426. have received. They are quick to say, Abraham

  427. is our father. You know, sir? But they did not

  428. follow the ways of Abraham. Are we together?

  429. Hallelujah. Amen. You know, I challenged one

  430. lady one day in the sand, the way she was dressed.

  431. I said, where are you? She said, she's from Winner's

  432. Chapel. I said, you are not from there. I said,

  433. why? I said, because you are not following the

  434. headman. Because I know momy faith in the son.

  435. I don't see any attribute of her in you. So they

  436. are like the Pharisee that will say, Abraham

  437. is our father, but his ways they are not following.

  438. Are we together? Amen. So they rejected it. So,

  439. What do we do? Now, it is important that now

  440. let's study something about this mediation. You

  441. know, remember I said by the hand of a mediator.

  442. Are we together? Let's go back to Exodus 20.

  443. Exodus 20. Exodus. chapter 20. Look at verse

    Exodus 20 chapter mention

  444. 18. He said, now Mount Sinai was completely in

  445. smoke. Please, just be observing the events that

  446. are happening. We are going to go slowly. You

  447. understand? Now Mount Sinai was completely in

  448. smoke because the Lord descended upon it in fire.

  449. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of the furnace

  450. and the whole mountain quaked greatly. That's

  451. how the Lord normally descends. Hallelujah. Verse

  452. 19. And when the blast of the trumpet sounded

  453. long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke.

  454. And God answered him by voice. He spoke and God

  455. answered him how? By voice. Amen? Amen? Where

  456. was I reading? 19, right? Oh, sorry. Did you?

  457. Let's start from 19. I was just moving very fast.

  458. Yes, chapter 19. Yes, chapter 19, please. Oh,

  459. and you are looking at me. Yes, let's start from

  460. there, chapter 19. Yes, I mentioned the scripture

  461. ahead and then I started behind. Sorry for that.

  462. Understand. Are we together? Now, did you see

  463. those events? I want you to pay attention. We

  464. are coming back to them. How they said the Lord

  465. descended. Remember I said we're going to study

  466. Mount Sinai. It's very important. Right? Now

  467. move to verse 20 which I said earlier on. 20

  468. verse what? 18. Now all the people witnessed

  469. the thundering. Did you see again? Are we together?

  470. Witnessed the what? The thundering. The lightning

  471. flashes. The sound of the trumpet. And the mountain

  472. smoking. When the people saw it, they did what?

  473. They trembled and stood where? Afar. Then they

  474. said to Moses, you speak with us and we will

  475. hear. But let not God speak with us. Lest we

  476. do what? Lest we do what? How can someone who

  477. wants life for you and what you are perceiving

  478. is that? So, you see, this is telling us, this

  479. is where the beginning of they never wanted to

  480. hear directly from God. Remember when Moses was

  481. going, Moses also told a prophet like unto me,

  482. he said, hear what? Hear him. They refused. Moses,

  483. where Moses was going? He also told them, hear

  484. him. They never wanted to hear from God. You

  485. understand? I think we did that study in this

  486. church. But the point is that they rejected God

  487. and just wanted Moses. Go and hear and then tell

  488. us. This is how they meet Moses the mediator.

  489. So as we read, he said, appointed by angels by

  490. the hand of a mediator. So Moses was a man -made

  491. mediator through unbelief and rejection of the

  492. gospel. Through unbelief and rejection of the

  493. gospel. Come down to Hebrews chapter 8. Hebrews

Hebrews 8 chapter mention Hebrews 8 chapter mention

  494. chapter 8. Hebrews chapter 8. Look at verse 7.

    Hebrews 8 chapter mention

  495. Verse 7. For if that first covenant had been

  496. faultless, then no place would have been sought

  497. for a second. Now, most people when they read

  498. this, they would think that God gave first, the

  499. first one. You understand? Do you understand

  500. what I'm saying? So they said, that's how they

  501. look at it, that the first covenant God gave

  502. it, so it fails. They say, okay, let me bring

  503. the second one. No, there has no time. God has

  504. given multiple covenants. It has always been

  505. one, one, one, and one. And the covenant, please

  506. hold your hand here. Come to that Galatians we

  507. read. There's something I want to point out before

  508. we jump in the sun. Because we are at the time

  509. where we need to wrap up something for this session.

  510. Galatians 3 verse what? Verse 19. He said, what

  511. purpose then does the law serve? He said, it

  512. was added because of transgression till the seed

  513. should come to whom the promise was made. To

  514. whom the promise was made in the Son. Now, you

  515. have to understand that the covenant is not with

  516. you. Are we together? God made the covenant with

  517. himself. We are the beneficiaries. Let me repeat

  518. again. We are the beneficiaries of God's covenant.

  519. The covenant is not with you. Because, you know,

  520. when you talk about covenant, It means you have

  521. a part to play. You don't, sir. Sorry. You don't

  522. have a part in it. Because he promised it by

  523. himself, to himself, to keep it by himself. We

  524. are beneficiaries. We received it. What he has

  525. promised. Hallelujah. Now go back to where I

  526. was trying to read. He now said, verse 7, right?

  527. For if that first covenant had been faultless,

  528. then no place would have been sought for a second.

  529. Because finding fault with them, he says, behold,

  530. the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will

  531. make a new covenant. With the house of Israel.

  532. And the house of Jacob. Now look at that word

  533. in verse 8. He said finding fault with them.

  534. The question is. Who or what finds fault with

  535. them? Are we together? Did you hear my question?

  536. Who or what finds fault with them? Remember in

  537. verse 7 he said. For if. The first covenant had

  538. been faultless. That means the first covenant

  539. has a fault. There will not have been need for

  540. the second because the second is faultless. So

  541. what this verse is saying is that the faulted

  542. or fault covenant was the one that find fault.

  543. You understand? That's why I say because finding

  544. fault. Who finds fault? The covenant that has

  545. fault was the one that had fault in them. Because

  546. God does not find fault. The covenant of righteousness

  547. does not find fault in men. Did you understand

  548. what I'm trying to say? No fault. And there are

  549. scriptures that tell us more about that God does

  550. not find fault. He does not find. You understand?

  551. James told us. Right? James 1, verse 5. Right?

    James 1:5

  552. Are we together? Please, come with me. I want

  553. to show you that God's covenant of righteousness

  554. does not do what? Does not find fault. It is

  555. the fault covenant. That old system brought by

  556. unbelief that find fault. You know, sir, Remember

  557. what we said, Paul said in the psalm. I would

  558. not have known. Did you understand what I'm saying?

  559. Except the Lord came. When the Lord came, that

  560. was when sin revived. Meaning, that was when

  561. I became aware of sin. That was when I became

  562. aware of sin. Oh, glory to God. Look at verse

  563. 5. He said, If any of you lack wisdom, let him

  564. ask God. Who give how? Liberally. Without what?

  565. Without reproach. That word reproach. Without

  566. shame. Eh? Without shame. Without abuse. Without

  567. shaming you. Huh? There's one song, you see.

  568. Oh, God, no, go shame us. You know that song?

  569. You know, these people are laughing. Yes. God

  570. does not shame. Did you understand what I'm saying?

  571. Yes. He doesn't insult. He doesn't abuse. He

  572. does not defame. That's what reproach means.

  573. Defame me. Reproach. He said he doesn't do that.

  574. He gives liberally without looking for fault.

  575. When he's trying to give you something, he will

  576. not be looking and say, hey, okay, he did this

  577. thing. No. You understand? We shall deal with

  578. him. He did that. He did that. No, he doesn't

  579. pile up to watch your iniquities. You understand?

  580. To give. No, that's not God. Look at that text

  581. we normally read. Hallelujah. 2 Corinthians.

  582. 2 Corinthians 5. 2 Corinthians 5, what? 19. Let

  583. me read from verse 18. Now all things are of

  584. God who has reconciled us to himself through

  585. Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of

  586. reconciliation. Look at verse 19. He said, that

  587. is, That God was where? In Christ reconciling

  588. the world to himself. Not doing what? Not imputing

  589. their trespasses to them. And has committed unto

  590. us the word of reconciliation. So God does not

  591. do what? Does not impute. You understand? He

  592. does not impute sin. Faults of man. No. But what

  593. system does that? Romans 5. What system does

  594. that? Romans 5. 13. Are we together? Amen. Romans

  595. 5. 13. For unto the law, sin, Was where? But

  596. sin is not imputed when there is no... So during

  597. the days of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, you know,

  598. sir, there was no imputation of sin. God relate

  599. with men not finding fault. It was when the Lord

  600. came in and piled up, say, you do this, you do

  601. that, you do that, you do this, you do this,

  602. you know, sir. So when that text, you know, sir,

  603. in fact... Romans 3, when you move back a little

  604. bit, Romans 3 .20, Romans 3 .20, it says, Therefore,

  605. by the deeds of the law, no flesh will be justified

  606. in its sight. For by the law is the what? Is

  607. the knowledge of sin. You cannot live by the

  608. law not to be, you must be beholding your sins

  609. and iniquities every day. That is that law. That

  610. is that covenant. That was why that verse we

  611. read in Hebrews says what? Finding fault with

  612. them. You understand? That is the covenant. That

  613. is a system that finds faults. You understand?

  614. This new system is the one that takes away the

  615. fault of men. Are we together? He's the one that

  616. takes away the iniquity. The Lord laid upon him

  617. the iniquities of us all. You understand? Hallelujah.

  618. So God's intention is not to have anyone as a

  619. mediator between God and man. But for he himself

  620. to come. For Jesus himself to be the mediator.

  621. The mediator of better covenant and not Moses.

  622. So both the law and the mediation of Moses were

  623. an addition. Where is an old system. So God revealed

  624. his plan. Lively oracles. But to a rebellious

  625. people. He rejected it. And what happened? Moses

  626. gave the law. How? By the instrumentality of

  627. angels. We're going to further look at that to

  628. study much more. You understand? Study much more

  629. to see other texts that talks about also because

  630. we're going to read other texts. Now we just

  631. studied Stephen and Paul. We're going to study

  632. others to see how the law was given to the instrumentality

  633. of angels. Now you should begin to picture. Does

  634. that mean that means those things we've been

  635. seeing, angels were the ones doing those things?

  636. We shall see. Hallelujah. Can you just pray and

  637. thank the Lord? We appreciate you being here

  638. today. We hope you carry this word with you throughout

  639. your week. Don't forget to check the show notes
