  3. walk with God. Don't miss out. Stay with us until

  4. the end for a rewarding experience. Let's dive

  5. right in. Galatians chapter 3 Galatians chapter

Galatians 3 chapter mention Galatians 3 chapter mention

  6. 3. Galatians chapter 3 verse 19. What purpose

    Galatians 3:19

  7. then does the law serve? It was added because

  8. of transgressions. till the seed shall come to

  9. whom the promise was made. And it was appointed

  10. through angels by the hand of a mediator. By

  11. the hand of a mediator. It was appointed through

  12. angels. John. chapter 14. John chapter 14. Look

John 14 chapter mention John 14 chapter mention

  13. at verse 11. Believe me that I am in the Father

  14. and the Father in me. Or else, believe me, for

  15. the sake of the works themselves. Go down to

  16. verse 5. Chapter 5, sorry. Chapter 5. Verse 16.

  17. For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus and

  18. sought to kill him, because he had done these

  19. things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them,

  20. My father has been walking until now, and I have

  21. been walking. My father has been doing what?

  22. Walking until now, and I have been walking. Now,

  23. Pastor Fred, our lead pastor, started with the

  24. introduction of what the Lord is leading us this

  25. year to do greater works. And the theme of the

  26. year is greater works. And one of the issues

  27. he raised was understanding the works of God.

  28. The works of God reveal God. Are we together?

  29. Because he will never do anything that is against

  30. his nature, against his character. Hallelujah.

  31. And the series we have been taking fall. Almost

  32. in sync with what we are introducing this year.

  33. And we have been talking about the giving of

  34. the law. And where I read in Galatians chapter

    Galatians 3:19

  35. 3 verse 19. We saw that the law was given or

  36. was appointed through angels or through the direction

  37. of angels. And one thing we noticed last time,

  38. we point out a number of issues. Now, because

  39. Moses involved angels in the giving of the law,

  40. so we said we wanted to study a bit. about the

  41. interactions between these angels and people,

  42. particularly when the law was given, because

  43. he said the law was given through the appointment

  44. of angels. And what we are trying to do is to

  45. come to answer a question. Remember the question

  46. we're trying to answer? Why? We wanted to answer,

  47. why did Moses wrote or gave the law? And why

  48. are we focusing that? Particularly, we are focusing

  49. in Deuteronomy 22, 5. That a woman shall not

  50. wear that which pertained unto a man, neither

  51. shall a man put on a woman's garments. For all

  52. that do so an abomination. unto the Lord. I'm

  53. reading from thy God. I'm reading from O .K.

  54. James. Hallelujah. So we're trying to, of course,

  55. not just only this one, all the laws he gave

  56. to Israel. And we understood that the law was

  57. an addition. You understand? Now, one important

  58. thing while we are going this way to study is

  59. to help us also as well to learn how to read

  60. what we call the Old Testament. And because there

  61. are lots of activities that has happened. So

  62. somehow the works of God has been actually clouded

  63. by a number of things. There are some things

  64. that God did not do. Today we said it is God

  65. that did it. So while we will take other studies

  66. to look at some of the things men said, are we

  67. together? That are not God. Even the men of God,

  68. because even men of God, even the prophet of

  69. God have said certain things that actually did

  70. not come from God. Are we together? However,

  71. there are some certain things, of course, and

  72. Jesus clearly told us what their focus was. So

  73. we can be able to understand the addition. Are

  74. we together? We're coming to that. Because he

  75. said that the prophet wrote concerning him. Are

  76. we together? So that means there will be things

  77. that will not be in alignment to the things he

  78. has come to do. So if a prophet will say those

  79. things, that will not mean that it is Christ

  80. that said it. Because God is the same yesterday,

  81. today and forever. So the God of the New Testament

  82. is not a new God, but it is that is the actually

  83. the unveiling of the real God that have existed.

  84. You understand? Without time. That is even before

  85. the world began. He is the same. And what we

  86. are trying to appreciate is to also help us as

  87. we move on is to study to understand that the

  88. works of God reveal God. So if you miss on the

  89. work of God or who did what, you are going to

  90. miss on the character of God. And you're going

  91. to have problem in your knowledge about God.

  92. Are we together? So, from our last message, we

  93. looked at to see whether what angel said. Remember,

  94. when we took that study, the goal was not actually

  95. to look at what the angels said, whether it is

  96. of God or not. We are coming to that. But if

  97. you look at what we studied, you understand,

  98. we could see that very clearly. There are some

  99. certainties I want us to understand. That there's

  100. a perception about the men of old, that when

  101. they interacted with angels, what did they encounter?

  102. They define it as they have encountered God.

  103. Are we together? Amen. Good. Secondly, The second

  104. thing I want us to understand is that even though

  105. where we read last time, you understand, it's

  106. clear that God was the one who was speaking through

  107. the angels. Are we together? Amen. Yes. But we

  108. are going to go into other portions where angels

  109. did certain things that actually is not God's.

  110. So the essence is, as you read a portion of a

  111. scripture, Just because you see the Lord said

  112. doesn't mean actually is actually the God Almighty.

  113. That means you have to study within the context

  114. to find out whether the Lord that is speaking

  115. is not actually the angel's opinion or the attitude

  116. of men, you understand, or it is actually the

  117. Lord Almighty. So what we're trying to emphasize

  118. even in the teachings, is actually the emphasis

  119. on contextual reading. That you cannot just use

  120. words carelessly, you understand? Because words

  121. are used very carefully in scripture. And that's

  122. why he said, you are to study to show thyself

  123. a proof. A workman who needed not to be ashamed,

  124. rightly dividing the word of truth. That is,

  125. every word must be taken seriously because they

  126. have its implication. And therefore, by all that

  127. we have been studying, we saw that angels can

  128. be called Lord. Which means that you have to

  129. read carefully to know who is the one called

  130. Lord in that portion. Is it God or the angel?

  131. Or is it man? Whoever, just you have to find

  132. out from the reading in the context. Are we together?

  133. So we saw that kind of a thing. And there's a

  134. scripture I quoted in Revelation chapter... Revelation

  135. 13. Come with me, Revelation 13. I just quoted

  136. the scripture when I listened to the last message

  137. and I discovered that there is an adjustment

  138. we need to do there a little bit before we just

  139. move on because it's very important. He said,

  140. Revelation 13 verse 8. All who dwell on the earth

    Revelation 13:8

  141. will worship him whose name have not been written

  142. in the book of life of the lamp slain from the

  143. foundation of who? Of the world. Now if you look

  144. at that, it says slain from the foundation of

  145. the world. When you read this, it looks as if

  146. the lamp that is The book of the life of the

  147. lamb who was slain from the foundation of the

  148. world. It looks as if the lamb was slain from

  149. the foundation of the world. That the slain was

  150. done where? At the foundation of the world. Are

  151. we together? But just maybe read Hebrews with

  152. me. Come with me, Hebrews, quickly. Hebrews 9,

  153. 9 -26. He then would have had to suffer often

  154. since the foundation of the world. But now, once

  155. at the end of the ages, he has appeared to put

  156. away sins by the what? By the sacrifice of himself.

  157. That word sacrifice of himself, that's what it

  158. means by slain. Amen? When was he slain? When

  159. was he slain? At the end of the age. That word

  160. age is not there. In the root word, it's not

  161. plural. In the sign. Those of us that have been

  162. going to cell meeting, Would I have no problem

  163. with this? You understand? Amen? Yes. So Christ

  164. was sacrificed at the end of age. And we know

  165. if you are in the cell meeting, this is not where

  166. we'll discuss that. We understood that, that

  167. the foundation is a word conception. You understand?

  168. Meaning the time of the blueprints. Of what will

  169. be accomplished, which is the word end. You understand?

  170. Who will be accomplished. So we are in the season

  171. of accomplishment. Of what has been the foundation.

  172. Are we together? So what was done at the foundation

  173. is the blueprint. Amen? It's not the slaining.

  174. The slaining is at where? at the end of the ages.

  175. Amen. Hallelujah. So when you look at that word,

  176. when he said, the book of the Lamb slain from

  177. the foundation of the world. Now, you just have

  178. to do some rearrangement. For those of us who

  179. have been working, I mean, going closely with

  180. us in this church, we have discussed the issue

  181. of Bible, understanding the Bible, and we've

  182. done a lot of things. You understand? Now, If

  183. you understand that when you understand the writings,

  184. both Greek and Hebrew, you understand, there

  185. is no word to word match. So most times when

  186. translators are translating the Bible, if you

  187. translate it word to word, even you can't read

  188. it because it wouldn't make meaning. You understand?

  189. An example of how you know what I mean is that

  190. go and carry Turkish, you understand, and just

  191. do word to word back to English. You will now

  192. understand what I'm saying. the Turkish will

  193. make meaning in English. So that means the person

  194. who is Turkish will have to, first and foremost,

  195. interpret it. You understand? So that it can

  196. make meaning in English language. Are we together?

  197. So that involves some rearrangement of words.

  198. So, and that has to be with the understanding

  199. of the context as well. You understand? Now that

  200. we understand that Christ was not sacrificed

  201. or was not slain at the foundation. He was slain

  202. at what? At the end. So that means the blueprint

  203. will be at the foundation. Amen. So all we just

  204. need to do is just to bring the slain backward.

  205. You understand? That is, we will say in the book

  206. of life of the slain lamp. Did you see that?

  207. Of what? The slain lamp from the foundation of

  208. the world. That means what we are talking about

  209. is that. If you read it now in that sense, all

  210. who dwell on earth will worship him whose name

  211. were not written. Now the focus of the text is

  212. not written. You understand? Written where? In

  213. the book of the slain lamb. But when was it written?

  214. Are we together? It was written where? from the

  215. foundation of the world. Hallelujah. Okay. It's

  216. important that when you listen to this one and

  217. then you listen to the last message, when you

  218. combine what I just said now, it will make sense.

  219. Hallelujah. Amen. So to know, as I said, whether

  220. words in the Old Testament or any other place

  221. in the Bible are really the Lord said it. Those

  222. words must be assessed through Christ. Those

  223. words must be assessed through Christ. God cannot

  224. change. God can't change. The same God who was

  225. in the Old Testament was the same God who took

  226. on the nature of man to be known. Who took on

  227. the nature of the man to be known. And what that

  228. means is that Knowing God Almighty is actually

  229. in knowing his son. Because it is in his son

  230. that he is revealed. So that means now we have

  231. a perfect understanding of God. So we are not

  232. shadow boxing. When we go into Old Testament

  233. and we are reading, we go with our chest up.

  234. Because we have a system of assessing who says

  235. what. And we can assess it accurately because

  236. God now has arrived and revealed himself in the

  237. son. And by doing so, because the son now is

  238. a light, we can now, and we know the son, so

  239. we can assess and know, okay, this is not the

  240. son. And because it's not the son, so it's not

  241. the father. Remember where I read in John chapter

  242. five, right? He says what? That my father has

  243. been walking. Are we together? Until now, and

  244. I'm already doing what? Walking, which means

  245. that you can assess the walk of the Father in

  246. the Son. And then that's what he said. You will

  247. know that you are one in Christ. And even if

  248. you don't understand, just look at my walks,

  249. you will know. Are we together? So that's the

  250. point. And I want us to see this very important

  251. part, why I am saying that we're going to be

  252. assessed. And listen, just the same way today

  253. that we make mistakes. and do certain things

  254. that are not in alignment with God. Of course,

  255. that doesn't show that you are not of God. Do

  256. you understand what I'm trying to say? But sometimes

  257. lack of knowledge or lack of understanding of

  258. God's character and God's nature can make us

  259. behave the way we ought not to behave. Hallelujah.

  260. Are we together? So I want you to understand

  261. as we study this in the interaction of angels,

  262. sometimes when you see certain things Terrible

  263. things that angels do doesn't mean that they

  264. are evil spirits and they are evil angels. No.

  265. It's because they are operating from a point

  266. of ignorance. Oh, are you together with me? Are

  267. you together with me? The only thing we're trying

  268. to assess, already, as I said, we're going to

  269. study both angels, men, because angels do walk

  270. also. But the fact that it's a spirit that does

  271. the walk does not mean, does not mean actually

  272. that the walk is life. Did you understand what

  273. I'm trying to say? Already we know that in the

  274. law is wrath. And the law was given through angels.

  275. So already you will know that. And those angels

  276. are not evil angels. Did you understand what

  277. I'm trying to say? They are not demons that fell

  278. in the sun. So already that means some of the

  279. things they did produced death. Hallelujah. So

  280. that's what we are trying to study. Let me establish

  281. something about the son more. John 1, verse 11.

    John 1:11

  282. Let's go to 18. John 1, 18. John 1, 18. No one

  283. has seen God at any time. The only begotten son.

  284. Who is in the bosom of the Father. He has declared

  285. him. He has declared what? Him. That word no

  286. one. Is a single word. You understand? Is. Pronounced.

  287. Odise. Or Odise. I think it's Odise. That is

  288. O -U -D -E -I -S. O -U. D -E -I -S. Or dies.

  289. This verse means nothing. Nobody. None. Nothing.

  290. Nobody. None. That is no one. Nothing. Nobody.

  291. None. Has ever seen God. Remember in the. Previous

  292. verse, verse 17, he said, for the law was given

  293. through Moses, but grace and truth came through

  294. Jesus Christ. That includes Moses. He has never

  295. seen God. That includes angels. They have never

  296. seen God at all. Only one. Only one. He said,

  297. what is that one? He said, the only begotten.

  298. The only begotten. That word, only begotten.

  299. I think other translations, modern translations,

  300. translated it better by saying one and only.

  301. That's what is monogynes. Only begotten is a

  302. word monogynes in Greek. M -O -N -O -G -E -N

  303. -E -S M -O -N O -G -E -N -E -S. Monogenes. Monogenes

  304. is derived from two words. It's derived from

  305. two words. Monos. From the word monos. Monos.

  306. M -O -N -O -S. Monos. Which means one. Or only.

  307. Only. Of course, the one there is not talking

  308. about number. Are we together? That one or only

  309. is not talking about number. It's talking about

  310. uniqueness. Are we together? And genos talk about

  311. of a class. That's why now when you combine them,

  312. genos, which is G -E -N -O -S. G -E -N -O -S

  313. means class or kind. Class or kind. So when you

  314. look at it, you will see that together when you

  315. combine it, it's talking about one of a class

  316. or of a kind. Are we together? Amen. Before,

  317. as I said, when you use the word, the only begotten,

  318. it appears because the earlier translation was

  319. taught to be from two words. There's another

  320. word which has to be corrected because It was

  321. using the only begotten, which is monogynetos.

  322. That is M -O -N -O -G -E -N -E -T -O -S. M -O

  323. -N -O -G... E -double -N -E -T -O -S. That was

  324. the earlier because this one, if you split it

  325. into two, the first part, which is mono, which

  326. is monos or one or only. Then the second one

  327. is actually a word. Also, we call it genao. Genao.

  328. When you combine the two, you have monogenetos.

  329. Genao is actually begat. Genao is G -E -N -N

  330. -A -O. G -E -N -N -A -O. So that means monogenetos

  331. is actually a compound word of two words, monos

  332. and genao. When you combine them, it gives you

  333. genao means begat or to bear. So initially, by

  334. using the only begotten, it appears as if he's

  335. talking about something that you gave birth to.

  336. But that's not the communication. You understand?

  337. It's not about giving birth. Actually, the right

  338. Greek word is what we have already talked about,

  339. that the monogenes, which is one and only, that

  340. is of a different class or of a kind. Are we

  341. together? Amen. So it's talking about uniqueness,

  342. not actually procreation or giving birth to.

  343. It's talking about uniqueness. So, and we can

  344. find that in several places in scripture are

  345. particularly used for Jesus, at least King James.

  346. When you check, Earlier, newer translation like

  347. ESV, they use one and only and some other translation,

  348. one and only. That's the right word. To depict

  349. uniqueness, not actually to give bet. Are we

  350. together? Yes. So if you look at, they say, please,

  351. maybe I will use this one. Hebrews chapter 11.

    Hebrews 11 chapter mention

  352. Hebrews chapter 11 verse 17. Hebrews 11, 17.

    Hebrews 11:17

  353. He said, by faith, Abraham, when he was tested,

  354. offered up Isaac, and he who had received the

  355. promise, offered up his only begotten. Again,

  356. this is supposed to be one and only. Are we together?

  357. That's why when you read the account in Genesis

  358. 22, you say, take up your son, your only son.

  359. It will look as if he's saying he has only...

  360. one son. No, that only is talking about uniqueness.

  361. That is, Isaac is unique. He's not talking about

  362. number. Are we together? Because Abraham also

  363. had Isaac at that time already. Are we together?

  364. So it cannot be a number. Say, your only son.

  365. Of course, it's not only son because Ishmael

  366. is there. Amen? So he's talking about uniqueness.

  367. And that's exactly what he's talking about. When

  368. you look at what he said, the uniqueness of that

  369. song, he said the only unique song. You understand?

  370. And then he said, in the bosom. Of course, that

  371. word is figurative in nature. Because when you

  372. talk about bosom, you're talking about, of course,

  373. some of us that are English, we normally use

  374. the word bosom friend. Are we together? What

  375. you're talking about, you're talking about somebody,

  376. this is relational, of a unique and intimate

  377. relationship. That's what you are talking about.

  378. That is, this person is not like any other. You

  379. understand? So, he's talking about the unique

  380. relationship of Christ and the Father. And he

  381. now said that he had declared him. Remember,

  382. he said no one has seen God. No one has seen

  383. God. In verse 14 of John 1. In verse 14 of John

  384. 1. You know what I'm saying? And the word became

  385. flesh. And dwell among us. And we beheld his

  386. glory. The glory of the only begotten. That word

  387. would be what? One and only. Are we together?

  388. Of the father full of grace and truth. It's not

  389. two things. Grace which is truth. Are we together?

  390. Yes. The very first time God was seen by both

  391. men, because he said no one has seen him. The

  392. very first time both men and angels have seen

  393. God is in the song. The first time both men and

  394. angels have seen God. is in the Son. 1 Timothy

  395. 3 .16 1 Timothy 3 .16 And without controversy,

  396. great is the mystery of godliness. God was what?

  397. Was what? Manifested where? In the flesh. Justified?

  398. In the spirit. Seen by who? Seen by who? Angels.

  399. Preach among Gentiles. Believed on the world.

  400. Received up in what? In glory. Are we together?

  401. That's the first time angels ever saw God. Manifested

  402. in the flesh. manifested in the flesh. It means

  403. to unveil, to uncover, manifest, to unveil, to

  404. uncover. That is, God was manifest in the flesh.

  405. Angels never saw God in his fullness till he

  406. was revealed in the sun. He said, great is a

  407. mystery of godliness. That word mystery, you

  408. understand, Is no longer mystery. Why? Now is

  409. what? Manifested. Hallelujah. Amen. So that means

  410. the father revealed himself. To humanity. And

  411. also to angels in the son. So in the son. Or

  412. the son is a perfect. And complete revelation.

  413. Of God. So, when you know the father, that means

  414. you are saying you know the son. Or you can only

  415. know the father by knowing the son. So the mystery,

  416. the uncertainty, the confusion, the complexity,

  417. the double -mindedness about the father, where

  418. is he explained? Where is he explained? In the

  419. son. Where is it unveiled? In the Son. Where

  420. is it revealed? In the Son. Where is it resolved?

  421. In the Son. So as we go through the Old Testament

  422. and through the entire Bible, every confusion,

  423. every complexity, every uncertainty is revealed

  424. in the Son. You don't see it in Christ, it's

  425. not God. Sing full and short. Are we together?

  426. You know, some people will ask, but sir, who

  427. did it then? I say it's not God. What is your

  428. problem? It's not God. So there's no revelation

  429. of the father outside God. What he has revealed

  430. about himself is in the son. So when Moses recruited

  431. angels to write what was shown or to give the

  432. law instead, definitely you know. There is no

  433. how at that time angels could ever have been

  434. accurate to write about God. Because how could

  435. they have known him? You understand? So don't

  436. be shouting because an angel appeared to you.

  437. Don't jubilate yet. You have to bring and look

  438. at what is revealed to you. through the lenses

  439. of the sun, there is nothing that will ever be

  440. revealed to you that is greater than what you

  441. have received already. I don't want you to look

  442. down on yourself in the sun because you have

  443. received the sun and you are in him. So anything

  444. that is coming from outside, even if you have

  445. revelation and you've seen an angel appear to

  446. you, glory be to God. That's good. But don't

  447. begin to feel suddenly that now you will even

  448. change your name. Because that's how so many

  449. people have changed their names. They have moved

  450. from brother straight to apostle. You know, sir.

  451. Why? They say because they have seen. They have

  452. had an encounter. Because I've listened to some

  453. people, they say the definition of an apostle

  454. is that they have seen Jesus. Which type of seeing

  455. Jesus are you talking about? Amen. Hallelujah.

  456. Amen. Now, let me just touch on a few things.

  457. Now, apart from the word the Lord said, the Lord

  458. said, there's another thing I want us to note

  459. also as we study. It's the word God. Also, God

  460. said, God said, God said, God said, you understand?

  461. God, the word God, is the word Elohim, you understand?

  462. E -L -O -H -I -M, Elohim. Of course, it appears

  463. many times in the King James Bible, throughout

  464. the Bible. I mean, through the scriptures, the

  465. Old Testament text. More than 2 ,000 times. And

  466. it is used to describe a number of things. It

  467. is used to describe anything divine, great in

  468. different contexts, mighty, like deities, judges,

  469. angels, rulers, you understand? Gods. Again,

  470. some names that we'll be mentioning, You understand?

  471. Sometimes they can be interchanged. But just

  472. understand that that's why each time I'm talking

  473. about any word, I give you what I'm talking about.

  474. When I use the word law, you understand? I will

  475. tell you what I mean by the law because we are

  476. discussing the law of Moses. So you know the

  477. law I'm talking about. But that doesn't mean

  478. anywhere you see law. That means it's a law of

  479. Moses. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?

  480. I've said that. The same thing, this word angels,

  481. you understand? Now, because I'm talking about

  482. spirit beings, you understand? You understand

  483. what I mean? Continue to use the word angels,

  484. angels. But there are places where men are called

  485. angels. Some places where God is called an angel.

  486. Do you understand what I'm trying to say? So

  487. what that means is that, again, this word, even

  488. man, the word man, you know, solely by this thing.

  489. When we read, for example, the... What do you

  490. call it? Those men that encounter Abraham, you

  491. understand, they are called, when they enter

  492. Sodom with Lord, they are called the men. But

  493. they are what? Angels. You understand what I'm

  494. saying? What that means is that, so what I'm

  495. trying to say is that there's no, there's no

  496. one word that has a blanket meaning that you

  497. carry it everywhere. You understand? Because

  498. the word man is a The word they use in Sodom

  499. for those angels is Ish. Ish means the male,

  500. male man, not Adam, the male man. You understand?

  501. So what that means is that you don't just see

  502. what like that and just say, okay, this is it.

  503. No. You have to now read to know actually who

  504. is that or what is that. Again, this is emphasizing

  505. that. You have to learn to really solely, primarily

  506. depend on the context. You understand? To be

  507. able to know the meaning of words. So, so far,

  508. I'm using angels as spirit beings. So, when I

  509. mention angel, you know what I'm talking about.

  510. Amen? Amen. So, now, the word Elohim is obtained

  511. from the root word Elal. Allow. That's a singular

  512. word because Elohim is plural of allow. E -L

  513. -O -A -H. E -L -O -A -H. Allow. Now, in this

  514. regard, when you assume because the word Elohim

  515. is plural of allow, which means God, normally

  516. you see it as God. You will see God said. God

  517. said. So you need to read very carefully to know

  518. which God is he talking about. And you know,

  519. interestingly, sometimes translators also, because

  520. translators are actually interpreters. So sometimes

  521. they will as well help, not really deliberate

  522. because they are very helpful people. It's not

  523. deliberate, but in their reading, sometimes they

  524. can make mistakes too. Because sometimes by saying

  525. big G, all of us think that is the God Almighty.

  526. Is that correct? But sometimes again, they will

  527. put small G. But even places they put big G is

  528. not actually the Almighty God. Did you understand

  529. what I'm trying to say? So you have to depend

  530. to read context. It's not by capital or small

  531. letter that we know which one is which. Did you

  532. get what I'm trying to say? Hallelujah. Genesis

  533. 32. Genesis 32. Look at verse 24. Then Jacob

  534. was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until

  535. the breaking of the day. Now, when he saw that

  536. he did not prevail against him, he touched the

  537. socket of his hip and the socket of Jacob's hip

  538. was out of joint as he wrestled with him. And

  539. he said, let me go for the daybreak. But he said,

  540. I will not let you go unless you bless me. So

  541. he said to him, what is your name? He said, Jacob.

  542. And he said, your name shall no longer be called

  543. Jacob, but Israel. For you have struggled with

  544. who? With who? That word is Elohim. You understand?

  545. God and with men and have prevailed. You understand?

  546. Then, Jacob asked, saying, tell me your name,

  547. I pray. And he said, why is it that you ask about

  548. my name? And he blessed him. And there. And he

  549. blessed him there. So Jacob called the name of

  550. the place Penuel. For I have seen who? God, face

  551. to face, and my life is what? is preserved. Hosea

    Hosea 12 chapter mention

  552. chapter 12. Hosea chapter 12. Look at verse 2.

    Hosea 12 chapter mention

  553. Hosea 12 verse 2. The Lord also brings a charge

    Hosea 12:2

  554. against Judah. And will punish Jacob according

  555. to his ways. According to his deeds. He will

  556. recompense him. He took his brother by the heel

  557. in the womb. And in his strength, he did what?

  558. He did what? He struggled with who? Are we together

  559. now? He struggled with who? With God. Yes. He

  560. struggled with who? These people are not following.

  561. Are we together? Verse 4. Yes, he struggled with

  562. who? And what? So, that is saying that what he

  563. said he struggled with God is actually the angel

  564. he's talking about. So, you can see that God

  565. here is big letter. Right? Capital letter. That

  566. is an angel. Even the angel here is put capital

  567. because they are trying to refer to it because

  568. Israel here capital is God. You understand? But

  569. look at what, if you go back to where we read

  570. in Genesis, you will see that. What has happened?

  571. The man, Jacob, that's what he saw. He's an angel

  572. that he struggled. Even from the first one, they

  573. called the person the man. Did you see that?

  574. Verse 24. Then Jacob was left alone and a man

  575. wrestled in the sand. So you could see that Jacob

  576. wrestled with an angel. But then look at what

  577. he said. He said, I have seen God, what? Face

  578. to face. Remember what Jesus said. No one has

  579. seen God. No one at any time. We see just like

  580. we studied last week. That's their perception.

  581. It's that they have an encounter with spirit

  582. beings. You understand? They consider it as an

  583. encounter with God. So they had, because their

  584. worldview is shaped. very profoundly, you understand,

  585. by the spirit world. The way they see the spirit

  586. world is profoundly different from how our world

  587. is now, you understand. Because the world has

  588. become sophisticated now. We are too materially

  589. connected. They, in those days, they are very

  590. much, so much connected. It's a usual occurrence,

  591. you understand. It's not something, a strange

  592. thing. So, and because of... Most times when

  593. they, because remember, remember what we are

  594. saying. We're going to see it. Their knowledge

  595. of God, of course, is not perfect as we are now

  596. that we know because we have the son revealed,

  597. you know, son. So each time, most of them, you

  598. know, son, as we see several times, they consider

  599. an encounter with an angel. Even when they know,

  600. for example, Manoah, we read the other time,

  601. they clearly knew there is an angel, but they

  602. still consider it as what? as God, encounter

  603. with God. Amen. Are we together? The Psalmist,

  604. Psalm 8. Let's look at Psalm 8. Psalm 8, verse

    Psalms 8:1

  605. 1. Lord, our God, how excellent is your name

  606. in all the earth. Who have set your glory above

  607. the heavens out of the mouth of babes and nursing

  608. infants? You have ordained strength because of

  609. your enemies that you may silence the enemy and

  610. the avenger. Verse 3. When I consider your heavens,

  611. the work of your The moon and the stars which

  612. you have ordained. What is man that you are mindful

  613. of him? The son of man that you visit him. For

  614. you have made him a little lower than angels.

  615. And you have crowned him with glory and honor.

  616. That word angels. is Elohim. A little lower than

  617. angels. That word is Elohim. So, what I'm trying

  618. to say is that in several places you could see

  619. that sometimes God is angel or Elohim is referring

  620. to spirit beings. You understand? But you really

  621. have to read to understand is the same word,

  622. for example, Elohim, in the beginning, Genesis

    Genesis 1:1

  623. 1 verse 1, God created the what? The heavens

  624. and the what? In the earth. That word God, you

  625. understand, is not an angel. Do you understand

  626. what I'm saying? But it's the same word, Elohim.

  627. You understand? Because when you read, by the

  628. time you read chapter 2, we now saw that, God

  629. ended his work and he rested in the seventh day.

  630. Amen. Are we together? So this one we're talking

  631. about God the creator, not angel the created.

  632. Did you understand what I'm trying to say? So

  633. you have to read context to understand whether

  634. Elohim is talking about angel or whoever. You

  635. understand? Interestingly, when we read When

  636. we come to the New Testament, because I told

  637. you, the New Testament is not presenting a new

  638. God. It's unveiling the real God. It's unveiling

  639. the real God. And by the time you come to New

  640. Testament, come, let's look at that text, Psalms

  641. 8, because it was quoted in Hebrews. And I think

  642. we're going to study Hebrews, maybe now and,

  643. I mean, And maybe Wednesday. Yes. To help us

  644. in our clarification. Again, the difference between

  645. angels and the son, because it's the son that

  646. review God, not angels. Are we together? So as

  647. the more we understand the son, the more we know

  648. God. Amen. So, so that doing that will help us

  649. by the time you move. to the Old Testament you

  650. are reading, whatever you see, you will look

  651. at it via the lenses of the sun. You can be able

  652. to understand what the place is saying. Hebrews

    Hebrews 1:1

  653. chapter 1, verse 1. God, who at various times

  654. and in various ways spoke in time past to the

  655. fathers by the prophets, has in these last days

  656. spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed

  657. Heirs of all things, through whom also he made

  658. the walls. who being the brightness of his glory

  659. and the express image of his person, upholding

  660. all things by the word of his power, when he

  661. had by himself purged our sins, sat at the right

  662. hand of the majesty on high. Of the majesty on

  663. high. Look at chapter 2. Chapter 2. Verse 5,

  664. chapter 2, verse 5. For he has not put the walls

  665. to come, of which we speak in subjection to angels.

  666. But one testified in a certain place, saying,

  667. What is man, that you are mindful of him? Or

  668. the son of man, that you take care of him? You

  669. have made him a little lower than angels. You

  670. have crowned him with glory and honor. and set

  671. him over the works of your hands, you have put

  672. all things in subjection under his feet. Again,

  673. the word angels there, but in Greek, is angelos.

  674. Angelos. A -double -G -E -L -O -S. Of course,

  675. we see this is a quotation from Psalms 8. Now

  676. we will discuss on what is the distinction between

  677. angels and the son. You know, what the angel

  678. will give will not be the same with what the

  679. son will give. They are in a different class.

  680. Remember we said the only one and only, that

  681. is, he is unique. In his class. Did you understand

  682. what I'm trying to say? Yes. Hallelujah. And

  683. the idea. And our goal. Is to study. By the works

  684. of God. We will know. No more confusion again.

  685. About who did what. And who is he. So our focus

  686. is that we understand who act what. Because before

  687. now, the devil has enjoyed popularity. Jesus

  688. unveiled him that he has been sinning from the

  689. beginning. The Bible says Cain is of the wicked

  690. one. The devil was there behind him doing the

  691. thing, influencing him. But we didn't see him.

  692. You understand? When devil was actually doing

  693. hellfire behind and was destroying the things

  694. of Job, Job didn't know the devil was there.

  695. What we're saying is that there are so many things

  696. you'll be shocked. The one you call it is God.

  697. He's not God. Because we are trying to see how

  698. we will unveil the person behind the works you

  699. have been seeing. That those works are not God's

  700. work. Because God's work that he has come to

  701. destroy the works of the devil. Hallelujah. And

  702. the works of the devil is finishing your life

  703. in Jesus name. Even his influence. No more ignorance

  704. this year. We are moving in a different dimension.

  705. Dimension of knowledge and of greater works.

  706. Because greater works is done in knowledge. We

  707. appreciate you being here today. We hope you

  708. carry this word with you throughout your week.
