Welcome to NECF sermons. Each message here is
-
designed to uplift and strengthen you in your
-
walk with God. Don't miss out. Stay with us until
-
the end for a rewarding experience. Let's dive
-
right in. Hebrews chapter 10. Look at verse 26.
Hebrews 10 chapter mention
-
Now we have been for a long time looking at a
-
crucial issue, which has been for some time a
-
matter of controversy, but it's not. And we'll
-
be looking at issues around women's liberty.
-
Now the theme of the year, greater works and
-
one important thing I want to note about greater
-
works is that it cannot or let me say it should
-
not or it won't be done in isolation. Amen? God
-
is not calling us to do His work in isolation,
-
individually. Hallelujah. That's why we saw in
-
that text, John chapter 14, verse 12, those who
-
believe in Him, He's speaking to not an individual,
-
He's speaking to a group. Hallelujah. He's speaking
-
to a group. If you is not talking about one person,
-
so the you is not a single person. Are we together?
-
You believe you will do greater works. Are we
-
together? And so ministry, works of God, greater
-
works, is never done in isolation. And you will
-
do yourself a favor if your reading of scripture
-
is adjusted from I to we. Are we together? From
-
I to we. So even if you hear it says you, then
-
just automatically, Think he's talking to an
-
individual. Even when he says, you are the temple
-
of God, or you are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
-
He's not talking just as an individual. Yes,
-
we are united with him. Yes, individually in
-
the son, we are also, we are hosting God. Yes,
-
means that we are his house. Very importantly,
-
it's a community in a sense. It's a family. The
-
house is a family. So when you said, Christ in
-
you, the hope of glory, is not talking about
-
an individual. He's also talking about a collective
-
or a group of people, a community of believers.
-
And if you check the entirety of the plan of
-
God, It's only an individual. It's a family.
-
It's a family. That's his intent. That's his
-
blueprint from the foundation of the wall. So
-
Christ's work came to bring many sons to glory.
-
So even as we discuss the issue of issues about
-
or around women's liberty, don't think because
-
we said women, so it doesn't concern you as a
-
man. No, because this family is male and female.
-
And as we noted in most of our texts, in all
-
our teachings, that the plan of God for creating
-
a man is the same plan for creating a woman.
-
Because the family he created is not physical
-
family. It's a spiritual one. That's why in him,
-
there is no male or female. So we try to look
-
at a lot of issues. In the spirit, male and females
-
are called sons. Sons of God is not male. Sons
-
of God is a spiritual breed, a new creation.
-
So we can differ in our biological... or sex,
-
or body, but in Christ, we are one. And that's
-
the focus. So that you know that you need your
-
sister in this ministry. You know that you need
-
your brother in this ministry. To do greater
-
works, you need your sister, you need your brother.
-
And that's what we've been trying to communicate.
-
And we move on, move on, move on, up until now,
-
we are in where we wanted to explain something.
-
We arrive, on issues regarding dressing in the
-
sun. And we started by looking at a scripture
-
which we explore in Deuteronomy concerning a
-
woman not wearing the things of a man or the
-
man not wearing the things of a woman. Although
-
it didn't say whichever it is, but we have already
-
classified things. And that has been an issue
-
of controversy. But then we said what we will
-
do is to study in the first place What is the
-
audience of Moses when he was writing them that
-
text Who was he addressing it to And we look
-
at it we saw that he was addressing it to the
-
generation which are about to enter canon The
-
latter generation that survived knows those ones
-
that left Egypt. And we look at again, what was
-
the identity of these people? We saw that their
-
identity, they were unbelievers. We said, okay.
-
And then we looked at these. And we said, okay,
-
was that a law of the spirit of a law of Moses?
-
Are we together? Remember, we looked at a lot
-
of things concerning the difference between the
-
Ten Commandments and the Law of Moses. And we
-
make a striking distinction that if you check
-
in the Law of Moses, we see all kinds of things.
-
It's focused on performance. It's about death.
-
It's about evil. It's about diseases. You do
-
this. You don't do this. You are killed. The
-
question is that, where did that emanate? And
-
we looked at that the law of Moses came later,
-
430 years after the promise was given to Hebra.
-
And we started studying, trying to detail, okay,
-
how was the law given in the first place? Where
-
did we find killing and the rest coming into?
-
Are we together? Are you with me? I'm trying
-
to bring some of us that have not been with us.
-
because it's a long journey we had. This is part
-
25, I think. And we're still moving. So the point
-
is that now we're trying to study how the law
-
was given. And the intent is for us at the end
-
of the day to understand how many of the things
-
that now has been accorded to God, you understand,
-
arrive into the text we have. Hallelujah. And
-
then by the time we arrive at the destination,
-
you probably must have now understood how to
-
read what we call the Old Testament and also
-
how to know, to assess truth. How do we assess
-
truth? Amen. Are we together? There are many
-
things written in this text, especially in the
-
Old Testament. How do we assess which one is
-
God, which one is not God? Because even his prophet,
-
his people said something that is not God. How
-
do you know? Because the person is standing on
-
the state of God and he said it. We see killing
-
done by prophet of God. You understand? Are you
-
with me? So we see even a lot of things if you
-
have been following us in the Canonica You must
-
have read we are Moses in the Sun and the Bible
-
said and what said to Moses in the Sun one carry
-
demand I see kill him stone him. Have you have
-
you been following us? The question is that How
-
do you know that instruction came from God? in
-
the Sun How do you assess the truth? Who is?
-
the standard of truths i don't know whether you
-
understand what i'm trying to say we are not
-
saying and then what makes a prophet of god who
-
understand the things of god yet spoke in that
-
way because it's not just only to say that it
-
is not god that instructed that it's another
-
thing to explain how did he you understand say
-
such a thing amen are we together and i want
-
you to understand something very important And
-
that's why you have to follow very carefully
-
and gradually. Because the point needs to be
-
explained clearly. So we're still looking at
-
the giving of the law. Amen. Hebrews chapter
Hebrews 10 chapter mention
-
10, I said, right? Look at verse 26. For if we,
-
sin willfully, after we have received the knowledge
-
of God, the knowledge of truth, There is no longer
-
remained a sacrifice for sin, but a certain fearful
-
expectation of judgment and fiery indignation
-
which will devour the adversary. Look at verse
-
28. That is where I want you to see. Anyone who
-
has rejected what? Moses' law. Do what? How?
-
Without mercy. on the testimony of two or three
-
witnesses. So what can we say about the law?
-
In the law, there is no mercy. What did I say?
-
In the law, there is not. What? There is no mercy.
-
Psalms 103. Psalms 103 verse seven. What someone
-
said, he made known his ways to Moses, his act
-
to the children of Israel. The Lord is merciful
-
and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in
-
mercy. He will not always strive with us, nor
-
will he keep his anger forever. He has not dealt
-
with us according to our sins. nor punish us
-
according to our iniquities. For as the heavens
-
are high above the earth, so great is his mercy
-
toward those who fear him. As far as the east
-
is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions
-
from us." Look at verse 7. I want you to pay
-
attention, please. We have already noted in our
-
previous teaching that the law came through who?
-
Through Moses. We have already seen that there
-
is no mess in the law. But look at the ways of
-
the law, also already revealed to Moses. So when
-
Moses wrote the law, he is already aware of the
-
ways of God. Because we have said that the revelation
-
of God is a gift. So it is the law that made
-
his ways known. Moses didn't do anything to end
-
it. Are we together with him? Are you together
-
with him? So he said he made known his ways to
-
Moses. He made known his ways to Moses. And his
-
act to the children, of course, he has to only
-
make his act to the children because they don't
-
want to know the ways. Remember we have known
-
that they... For 40 years they refused to believe.
-
Are we together? So definitely there is no how
-
you can make your ways to a non -believer. Because
-
he does not want to even understand. So he made
-
his ways known to Moses. And look at, he now
-
describes what actually is about that ways of
-
God. Look at verse 8. He said the Lord is what?
-
Merciful and what? And gracious. But then how
-
come that the law had no mercy? If the same man
-
who had known that the Lord is what? Is merciful
-
and gracious. How comes the law is not without
-
mercy? Once you see you do what? Is that why
-
we say today? They acquire you. Are we together?
-
So follow me gradually. You now said that It's
-
what? It's slow to anger and abounding in mercy.
-
You see that word? Slow to anger. If you don't
-
read it correctly, you will think that the Lord
-
gets angry, but He gets it slowly. Do you understand
-
what I'm trying to say? That's what it means
-
by what? Slow to anger. Amen. Now look at that
-
word, slow. The word slow is translated from
-
the word arrack. that is a -r -e -k a -r -e -k
-
it means long actually it means long something
-
long you know it could be long wind so it is
-
used like you can say long wind or long suffering
-
so you can you understand what I'm trying to
-
say it's actually the word long you know so that's
-
why I say slow to anger And the word to anger,
-
that word to anger, is one word. To anger is
-
one word in Hebrew. It means AP, just AP. And
-
it's pronounced F. But it's a word AP. But it's
-
pronounced F. It's actually used literally, truly.
-
It means nose. You understand what I'm saying?
-
Nose. It means nose. And if you look at Erek,
-
it also means, literally, it's long. It means
-
long. So if you are going to add the two, literally,
-
it will mean what? Long nose. You understand
-
what I'm saying? And actually, you're laughing.
-
And actually in Hebrew, you understand, that's
-
actually what it means, literally. Long nose.
-
Amen. So you see, that word long nose is an idiomatic
-
expression. It's an idiomatic expression which
-
translates, and most times when translators were
-
using it, they now say slow to anger because
-
in some other places you can translate it as
-
slow to anger. But it actually means long suffering.
-
That is, you suffer long. Amen. It's what? You
-
suffer what? Long. Long suffering. Long suffering.
-
It means forbearing, that is patience. Long suffering.
-
Long suffering. That's what it means. So most
-
times when it is used in regards to God, is a
-
description of God's patience. Of God's patience.
-
Is a description of God's patience. So next time
-
you see Slow to anger. It does not mean You understand
-
that he gets angry but slowly What he's saying
-
that he is patient is what long suffering? Let
-
me show you where that same words appear in some
-
of the things Exodus 34 Look at the exercise.
-
This is all let us look at some places Exhaust
-
34 verse 6 Exodus 34 verse 6. He said, and the
-
Lord passed before him and what? Proclaim. The
-
Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious. That
-
what long suffering is that same word. You understand?
-
I read. long suffering, and abounding in goodness
-
and truth. And abounding in goodness and truth.
-
Numbers chapter 14, verse 18. Numbers 14, 18.
-
The Lord is long -suffering, that's the same
-
word, and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity,
-
and transgression, but he by no means cleared
-
the guilty. Visiting the iniquity of the fathers
-
on the children to the third and the fourth generation.
-
We have done this study again in this church.
-
We say that word visiting does not mean that
-
God keep malice. If your father does something,
-
he keeps it and wait for the children. When they
-
come, he punish them. That's not what that means
-
visiting. We said that what visiting is perquired
-
which means to what to take care of something
-
So he's saying I will take care of your iniquity
-
means that God does not just say That's why he
-
said he by no means keep clear the guilty me.
-
You will not just say you go Yeah, yeah forgiveness
-
means there is a penalty for it But what he does
-
is to clear or to carry the penalty himself.
-
That is means by taking care of. Did you understand
-
what I'm trying to say? Yes. It doesn't mean
-
that you will keep malice, your father did something
-
and he will follow you, follow you, follow you
-
to the other generation and punish your children
-
for what the fathers did. No. In fact, look at
-
in the same text what he said to understand that
-
that's not what it means. Look at verse 31. Look
-
at verse 31. He said, but your little ones, whom
-
you set will be victims. So who are the people
-
who are saying that their little ones will be
-
victims of what they did? The people themselves,
-
that is the Israelites, they say our children
-
will be victims of it. In fact, they have carved
-
what we call a prover. He said the father will
-
eat the grapes and the children will what? Did
-
you understand what I'm saying? So they have
-
already carved that kind of things. We have done
-
this study, so I don't want us to go over it
-
now. But look at it. He said what? that but your
-
little ones whom you set will be victims eh I
-
will bring in and they shall know the hand which
-
you have despised but as for you your carcasses
-
shall fall in the wilderness that means you are
-
the one that did the nonsense you are the one
-
to bear it your children they didn't they didn't
-
do anything you are the one that said they will
-
be victims they will not I will take them to
-
that promised land which you despise. So in the
-
same text as already clear that one, it's not
-
saying God will keep malice and visit the children
-
with the trouble. No. That's why when you read
-
it, you will now understand in that same context.
-
That means the Lord is long -suffering. He's
-
abundant in mercy. He is forgiving. You understand?
-
Forgiving the iniquity. You understand? And the
-
transgression. In fact, if you read it, how can
-
he forgive the iniquity? And then also carry
-
and follow the iniquity again. In the same verse
-
can be contradictory if you don't read it correctly.
-
Are we together? So the point is that no, that
-
is the Lord is long suffering or slow to anger.
-
But I would prefer to use the word long suffering.
-
I mean, maybe the choice of I mean, the translators,
-
the choice of what they use in the sun is not
-
actually clear. It would be proper if they use
-
always long suffering instead of slow to anger.
-
Amen. Are we together? Nehemiah chapter 9 verse
-
17. Nehemiah chapter 9. Look at verse 17. He
Nehemiah 9 chapter mention
-
said, look at it. He said they refused to obey.
-
Please note that. They refused, talking about
-
the Israelites, they refused to obey. And there
-
we are not mindful of your wonders that you did
-
among them. But they hardened their neck and
-
in their rebellion they appointed a leader to
-
return to bondage. That's Numbers. Again, those
-
are words that have been following us. You understand?
-
In Numbers chapter 14, you saw after they did
Numbers 14 chapter mention
-
all this nonsense, you understand? They now appointed,
-
say this man Moses, we don't know where, you
-
know, let's appoint a leader and return back
-
to Egypt, you understand? But what did God do?
-
Did He kill them? You understand? And then the
-
Bible says, but you are God, ready to do all,
-
to pardon, gracious and mercy. Slow to anger.
-
That word again, slow to anger. It means long
-
suffering. You understand? Abundant in kindness
-
and did not forsake them. And did not forsake
-
them. This is the attitude of the Lord that was
-
revealed to Moses. You understand? And the Lord
-
made his ways known to Moses. Hallelujah! Yes!
-
So, I want you to get note of that thing. Even
-
though the people have rejected God, in fact,
-
you can imagine, that time they were about to
-
enter Egypt. Yes, sorry. They are about to enter
-
Canaan in Numbers 14. You understand? When those
-
10 people confused them, Those ten spies came
-
and confused them. Are we together? And say there
-
are giant in the what? In the promised land and
-
they cry they say we are going back We can't
-
die here. You understand? Are we together? That
-
is a kind of people. God said But you are God
-
you are merciful. That's the kind of people They
-
are rebellious people For 30 years remember they
-
have been rejecting you in the sun. Look at Psalms
-
86. Psalms 86 verse 15. But you, O Lord, are
-
God. This one say I God. Full of what? Compassion
-
and what? Long -suffering. That what again is
-
the same word, long -suffering. And abundant
-
in mercy and truth. Go to 1 .45, Psalms 1 .45
-
verse eight. Psalms 1 .45 verse eight. 145 verse
-
8. The Lord is gracious, full of compassion,
-
slow to anger, and great in mercy. Now what again?
-
Slow to anger is long suffering. Joel chapter
-
2 verse 13. Joel chapter 2 verse what? Verse
Joel 2 chapter mention
-
13. So rent your heart and not your garment.
-
wrong to the Lord your God for he is gracious
-
and merciful slow to anger and of great kindness
-
and he relents from doing harm again the word
-
slow to anger means long suffering let's read
-
chapter 4 verse 2 Let me even read from verse
-
one. He said, but it displaced Jonah accidentally
-
and he became angry. Why? He says, so he prayed
-
to God, to the Lord and said, Oh Lord, was not
-
this what I said when I was still in my country?
-
Therefore I fled previously to Tashish. For I
-
know that you are what? You are gracious and
-
you are merciful. God Slow to anger that what
-
again Abundant and long in loving kindness one
-
who relents from doing harm you see The same
-
thing to go and preach because he already knew
-
he knew that are we together? He knew that this
-
God He will not kill this people, you know, sir.
-
He knew it That was why I say I will not go because
-
he think it's a waste of time You know, that's
-
why some of us were angry that your father is
-
a loving God. So many believers are angry that
-
why will God not be harsh, not be a terrible
-
person? That's how some of us are. That when
-
you hear he loves even his enemies, he gives
-
you rain, you understand? You don't like it.
-
When they say, no, praying fire, let my enemies
-
die is not a Christ -like prayer. He said, no,
-
no, no, no. Even David said it. You see the problem?
-
That's why we say, you see, you do not have a
-
way of assessing what is true. David is a prophet,
-
but you are in the reality of what David was
-
looking for. You are in a standing that the David
-
of before, you understand, was looking for. That's
-
why you don't appreciate what you have to do.
-
You want to go back to the old system, that old
-
system. of no mercy. Don't we I do you. Why won't
-
you be listening to these songs? You will definitely
-
be listening to those songs. God no go versed.
-
You see that kind of a thing? Amen. Jonah knew
-
it. And he confirmed it, even when he went grudgingly.
-
And God did it. He said, you see, I said it.
-
That is the reason why I wanted to run away because
-
I know what he will do. We have more better standing
-
than Jonah. Hallelujah! We go to preach not because
-
we want to see people suffer. You know some of
-
us go to preach so that they will not say they
-
didn't preach. Don't believe you are going to
-
hell. Hell straight! The way I'm looking at you,
-
you're going to hell. See the scan of it. Your
-
message is not the gospel. Go back to that psalm.
-
Psalm 103. So next time you read the lost soul
-
in the son to anger. Noda is talking about his
-
long -suffering. Are we together? He's talking
-
about what? His long -suffering. Look at verse
-
9 of that Psalms 103 verse 9. He said he will
-
not always strike in the son. Now what we ask
-
is it lies, which means it was just added. It's
-
not in the original. You will see also his anger
-
for, that what his anger is also not in the original.
-
So you could see that he will not always strive,
-
nor will he keep forever. Are we together? Amen.
-
Yes. I think we've studied the issue of, okay,
-
that's in training center. God not striving forever
-
with man. Are we together? Genesis chapter 6,
Genesis 6 chapter mention
-
right? Yes. We talked about that. Of course,
-
He keeps calling you, keep calling you. If He
-
insists on where you want to go, He can't push
-
you back. Amen. We saw that with Noah, through
-
Noah, the Spirit of God, keep on what? He was
-
reaching out to them. for about 120 years preaching
-
to them. They never repented. There's nothing
-
they can do. Verse 10, He has not dealt with
-
us according to our sins, nor punished us according
-
to our iniquities. Verse 11, as the heavens are
-
high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward
-
those who fear Him. As far as the east is from
-
the east, west. So has He removed our transgressions
-
from us. And you keep reading. That is a waste
-
of God revealed to Moses. And Jesus told us clearly
-
that Moses knew the waste of God. He presented
-
it to them. They rejected it. That's why Jesus
-
told the Jews then. John chapter 5. He said,
John 5 chapter mention
-
if you have believed Moses, you would have what?
-
Believe me, because Moses did what? He wrote
-
of me. But again, before then, he told them,
-
I'm not going to accuse you. Moses have done
-
so. Moses, whom you trust, has accused you. He
-
has brought a chart that you are a stiff -necked
-
people. You are a rebellious people. You are
-
a people who have no faiths. Understand? And
-
by so he treated you. He treated you as unbelievers.
-
Why then? Matthew 19. Did Moses offer us access
-
to give a certificate of divorce? He said, because
-
of the hardness of your heart. That means there
-
were things that were introduced because of the
-
kind of the people. Are we together? We read
-
last time when we were discussing about the law
-
of Moses, that the Moses law was given to guard
-
a people that are terribly rebellious. You know,
-
the only person, are we together? If you have
-
a hardened criminal that refused to believe,
-
I mean, refused to believe the law of the land
-
and don't want to follow it. He is a hardened
-
criminal, killing everybody. What do you think
-
they do to him? They carry him and put him in
-
a confined place. There are prisoners there.
-
They don't combine them. They circulate. I mean,
-
they give them a demication. That's how you do
-
to a rebellious people. Moses knew that the only
-
way to guard these people is to bring all kinds
-
of stiff laws to the guardrails. Sometimes you
-
are amazed. How did Moses go detail? This is
-
how you should do. Don't do this. This is how
-
you should do. Don't do this. He knew the people
-
he was dealing with. So the law was given to
-
rebellious people. Me, I said divorce is a way
-
to protect the rights of the other women. Moses
-
knew that if he didn't do that, these rebellious
-
people are terrible. They will destroy the order.
-
The only way, sir, is to say, okay, you don't
-
want her, you have her problem with her. just
-
give us a together a great JJ JJ right JJ let
-
her go you know sir that's a way he has put certain
-
things to us but Jesus said in the beginning
-
it was not so it was introduced because of this
-
hardness of your heart but Moses knew the ways
-
of the law he kept telling them look at Hebrews
Hebrews 11 chapter mention
-
chapter 11 come with me quickly Hebrews chapter
Hebrews 11 chapter mention
-
11 Look at verse 24. In verse 24, he said, by
-
faith, Moses, when he became of it, he refused
-
to be called the sons of Pharaoh's daughter,
-
choosing rather to suffer affliction with the
-
people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasure
-
of sin. Look at 26. He said, esteeming. esteeming
-
the reproach of Christ greater riches than the
-
treasure in Egypt for he looked to the reward
-
he looked to the reward esteeming the reproach
-
of Christ Moses knew God Moses knew the Lord
-
he left the house of Pharaoh because of what
-
he knew He really knew the ways of God. He knew
-
he saw Jesus. So the question is that since Moses
-
knew these things about God, he knew the ways
-
of God. The question is that when he wrote and
-
gave them the law. Who was dealing with these
-
people? Who was killing the people? He knew the
-
Lord is merciful. But in the law, there is no
-
mercy. Who was killing the Israelites? Who disobeyed
-
the law? We say they die with that mercy. Since
-
Moses knew the law, that is merciful and gracious.
-
Abandoning mercy. Who was getting angry? When
-
they say, and the Lord, and it kindled the anger
-
of God. Did you understand what I'm saying? Eh?
-
Oh, you have not been reading. And the anger
-
of the Lord had been kindled. Who was killing
-
the people? Who was getting angry? But then,
-
they are called it that it is God. I don't want
-
you to forget what we have already said. That
-
it came, the law came through the instrumentality
-
of what? Of angels. Are we together? Through
-
the instrumentality of angels. Quickly, let's
-
see something before we come. These are questions
-
I'm answering as we go gradually in the sun.
-
Who was killing? Who was getting angry? Why did
-
they write it that way? That it was God that
-
was angry While he was not the one angry the
-
son He revealed himself To them you know his
-
wish He knows that the Lord does not get angry
-
that is slow in what in mercy he knows Genesis
-
19 Genesis 19 verse 13. Look at 13. Are you 13?
-
For we will destroy this place because the outcry
-
against them has grown great. before the face
-
of the Lord and the Lord has sent us to destroy
-
it. This is the angels saying, so who destroys
-
Sodom and Gomorrah? Oh, are you with me? Are
-
you with me? Who destroys Sodom and Gomorrah?
-
Eh? The angels said they were saying to Lord,
-
get out, quick, quick, quick, quick, quick. We're
-
going to destroy this place. We're going to destroy
-
this place because there's an outcry that has
-
grown great before the face of the Lord. As if
-
they have seen his face before. What do you say
-
is his face? The face is a presence, the person
-
of God. Are we together? No one has seen God
-
at any time. We have done that and we are coming.
-
They said we are sent by the Lord. Listen, I
-
want you to follow me closely That's why I said
-
you have to because this is trying to address
-
a lot of things. So that means in the Bible There
-
are many things prophets said There are many
-
things angels said There are many things even
-
angels of God I don't mean evil angels who like
-
the devil who deliberately is the focus is to
-
twist the Bible That's not what I'm saying. I
-
mean the angels of God understand There are many
-
things liars said. There are many things the
-
devil said. You understand? So there are a lot
-
of things that have been said. The question is
-
that how do you assess which one is true, which
-
one is not true? If I come like a pastor today,
-
and that's why we're teaching you something.
-
If I come like a pastor today and I tell you
-
something, how do you assess that what I'm saying
-
is not true? Or is true? How? This is what we
-
are teaching you. That your faith we risked in
-
the power of God That is why Paul will see because
-
he knew that the truth is independent of the
-
one who speaks the truth That's why he said even
-
if we come and tell you another gospel He said
-
consider was who a cost not even he said even
-
the angels that means he's saying The angels
-
are not the standard of truth. We ourselves that
-
teach the truth are not the standard of truth.
-
Truth is independent of who spoke it. If you
-
don't understand this, you will get confused
-
in reading Bible. And many of the mistakes, we
-
are not saying they are deliberate. Are you together
-
with me? Even in your life, even though you are
-
born again, most of the truth you have learned
-
in life, when you were growing up, the mistake
-
you have done, It's not that some of the mistakes
-
are not deliberate. You did it in ignorance.
-
Now that you have grown you understand. But there
-
are ones that you know the stubbornness was deliberate.
-
You knew it. So what we are saying is that there
-
is a type of lack of understanding that even
-
the engine of God can say it. Are we together?
-
Not because it's malicious, but because it's
-
coming out of ignorance. Are we together? is
-
coming out of ignorance. So you must have a way
-
of reading the Bible carefully and assessing
-
the truth. Are we together? We must have a way
-
of assessing the truth and thank God we have.
-
and thank God we have. The days of confusion
-
of who say what and what say what has passed.
-
Sometimes the lack, the inability to communicate
-
or to say the truth. Listen, I've said this often
-
that the fact that you are accurate does not
-
mean that you are saying the truth. Did you understand
-
what I'm saying? And I try always for you to
-
understand that if you see something written
-
by angels or by even the prophet, like when you
-
read the Psalms, we're coming to read the Psalms,
-
you see all kinds of things and you're wondering,
-
is it that same prophet that prophesied about
-
Jesus? That said this, this, this, and this,
-
and now he's saying this. Listen, David is the
-
one who seen who he has committed all kinds of
-
atrocities. And when he's praying for himself,
-
he said, Lord, you should have mercy on me. Lord,
-
you should have mercy on me." But now when he's
-
praying against his enemy, he said, Lord, don't
-
allow them to die a natural death. Do you understand
-
what I'm trying to say? The same person, that
-
means his view of God is somehow, there is no
-
perfection in his view of God. Understand? That's
-
why, but if you have a perfection in the view
-
of God, you know that, that he has no variation.
-
He has no shadow of turning. You understand?
-
When he say he love, he doesn't have great love,
-
small love. Are we together? So if he says he
-
love the world, his love for the believer is
-
not different from a non -believer. Because he
-
does not love small and love great there. Do
-
you understand what I'm saying? Amen. So that
-
you will know when you are praying, Lord, I am
-
the apple of your eyes. You understand? And feel
-
that the people that are not apple, Yeah, what?
-
I don't know. And incidentally, because of this
-
kind of understanding, even us, even in the church,
-
we have created classes. Do you understand what
-
I'm saying? Because of this kind of imperfection
-
of the knowledge we are carrying, we have created
-
all kinds of cadre and classes in the sun. There
-
are ones we call, even though we interpret the
-
wrong way. there are ones we call the anointed
-
of God there are ones that are not anointed in
-
the same place oh so that if you are the pastor
-
see you're joking with me ha ha ha thoughts not
-
that anointed and do his prophet know how joke
-
amen our God is a loving God Don't be angry with
-
your father that he is loving. Are we together?
-
Don't be angry with your father that is what?
-
He is loving, he is kind, he is merciful. That
-
is who he is. He is long -suffering. Are we together?
-
He is always that. He is always that. Don't be
-
angry in the son. Be happy because you have a
-
father that is consistent. Are we together? You
-
have a father that is consistent. Imagine you
-
know your dad is unpredictable in your house.
-
Sometimes when you arrive, you say daddy, he
-
will give you blow. Or sometimes when you enter,
-
say daddy, there my daughter, my daughter come.
-
How do you think you approach your father? You
-
don't know whether he's mood. That means once
-
he wakes up from the bed, whatever mood he is,
-
if you appear and you don't know when you have
-
the other mood, there is a swinging pendulum.
-
How do you expect to trust you? There can't be
-
trust without reliability. Why we say we trust
-
God is because of his consistency, because his
-
predictability. We know from start to finish
-
what we will obtain from him. That's what means
-
by trust. Even here, once you begin to see somebody
-
has double tongue, what happened before you?
-
The trust about that person do or drop. But the
-
more the person show consistency he become a
-
friend that means you can trust it you can predict
-
his actions You can say no, I know him. That's
-
what means by trust and your relationship becomes
-
stronger and better Because you know the person
-
is consistent when we come on When is he we will
-
continue to see some things that are very important
-
Even the text we've over read We'll read it and
-
then assess. What are we going to see? We're
-
going to see that the perfect standard of truth
-
is God himself. And he has come in the flesh
-
that no longer anyone be confused about who he
-
is. Are we together? I will end with this. Give
-
me John 5 19. As you go, you know. He said, then
-
Jesus answered and said to them, most assuredly,
-
assuredly I say to you, the what? The son can
-
do nothing of himself. But what he sees the father
-
do, for whatever he does, the son also, do what?
-
Does in like manner. Jesus is a standard of truth.
-
Whatever Jesus did was what God did. Whatever
-
you did not see Jesus, you understand, God never
-
did it. Are you with me? Whoever said it, angels,
-
whoever, whatever Jesus did not do, God never
-
did it. So I want you to hold this, that hold
-
Jesus. Who is the light? Move to the territory
-
of darkness. You are confused about texts of
-
scripture. Who did it? Who did the Lord do it?
-
Just hold Jesus. Already He's in you. Walk with
-
Him through the texts. He is the control. You
-
know, most of us in science, when you want to
-
do some tests, we have what we call control.
-
by which every parameter is tested and every
-
parameter is interpreted by the control that's
-
why if you don't have control they will reject
-
it yes sir right because we have reviewers here
-
you know sir immediately your walk doesn't have
-
control once they see they say this is why they
-
look at you Jesus is the control everything said
-
about God everything told about God is actually
-
assessed to him. Thank you Jesus. Share this
