  1. Welcome to NECF sermons. Each message here is

  2. designed to uplift and strengthen you in your

  3. walk with God. Don't miss out, stay with us until

  4. the end for our rewarding experience. Let's dive

  5. right in. I want to thank God for this opportunity

  6. to bring the world to us. I want to thank the

  7. pastorate as well for this opportunity and I

  8. urge you to pay attention, to participate and

  9. to be blessed. Amen. Today we're going to be

  10. looking at some words what I've been teaching

  11. on, which was the supernatural nature of the

  12. Christian gathering. And one of the things that

  13. we said there was that what made this gathering

  14. supernatural is because the Holy Spirit is here.

  15. Praise the Lord! Because the Holy Spirit dwells

  16. in the inside of us. So, today we want to look

  17. at the union of the spirit that we have, or the

  18. union of the Holy Spirit that we have. Before

  19. we dive into that especially, I would like us

  20. to look at so many things that will entrench

  21. you, so many things that will bless you. That

  22. is, how those locations and some names or some

  23. places in the Bible translate to God's plan.

  24. Praise the Lord! How does places and names of

  25. places translate to God's plan? How does that

  26. reveal God's plan? Praise the Lord! If you understand

  27. these things, it will save us a lot of things.

  28. It will save us from being manipulated. It will

  29. save us our money. It will save us so many things.

  30. Praise the Lord! Matthew 28. Also, we are going

  31. to look at 1 Peter chapter 2, verse 9. We are

    1 Peter 2:9

  32. also going to look into how we have become that,

  33. or how we are that, that is, how we are a chosen

  34. generation, how we are royal priests. Praise

  35. the Lord! Is that God's plan or we just came

  36. into it? Praise the Lord! Has that been God's

  37. plan or did it just happen in the New Testament?

  38. Praise the Lord. Matthew chapter 28, verse 18

    Matthew 28:18–20

  39. to 20. Verse 18 said, And Jesus came and spoke

  40. to them, saying, All authority has been given

  41. me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make

  42. disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the

  43. name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy

  44. Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that

  45. have commanded you and know and meet you always,

  46. even to the end of the age. Mark chapter 16 verse

    Mark 16:15

  47. 15 said, And he said to them, Go into all the

  48. world and preach the gospel to every creature.

  49. He who believes and is baptized will be saved.

  50. But he who does not believe will be condemned.

  51. And these signs will follow those who believe.

  52. In my name they will cast out their demons. They

  53. will speak with new terms. They will take up

  54. sacraments and if they drink anything deadly,

  55. it will by no means halt them. They will lay

  56. hands on the sick and they will recover. So then,

  57. after the Lord has spoken to them, he was received

  58. up into heaven. and sat at the right hand of

  59. God, and they went out and preached everywhere,

  60. the Lord walking with them and confirming their

  61. words through the accompanying of signs. Amen.

  62. John chapter 20 John chapter 20 verse 19 to 23

John 20 chapter mention John 20:19–23

  63. Verse 19 said, Then the same day at the evening,

  64. being the first day of the week, when the doors

  65. were shut, where the disciples were assembled

  66. for the fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood

  67. in the midst of them, and said to them, Peace

  68. be with you. When he had said this, he showed

  69. them his hand and his side. Then the disciples

  70. were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said

  71. to them, again, peace to you. As the Father has

  72. sent me, I have also sent you. When he has said

  73. this, he breathed on them and said to them, receive

  74. the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any,

  75. they will be forgiven. If you retain the sins

  76. of any, they will be retained. Praise the Lord!

  77. We have been looking at these in our previous

  78. teachings. The pastors have been teaching us

  79. these things. We said that this is the great

  80. commission and the thing that God has given believers

  81. to do. This is God's intention for every believer

  82. that we go and make disciples. We go and we teach

  83. the gospel. We go and we show the power of God

  84. in healing, in casting out demons. Praise the

  85. Lord! As a result of following His instructions.

  86. Praise the Lord! So this is the Great Commission

  87. and from this place where we read, from Mark

  88. 16, we see that this is also the last moment

  89. where the disciples physically saw Jesus. So

  90. He was giving them a command. Like I said, we're

  91. going to look at a few things and what they mean

  92. to the intention of God. So in that Matthew 16,

  93. 28, verse 19 says, he said, go therefore and

  94. make disciples of all nations, baptizing them

  95. in the name of the Father and of the Son and

  96. of the Holy Spirit. Praise the Lord. So we see

  97. here, Jesus said to them, they should go and

  98. make disciples of all nations. So we see all

  99. nations in this place. Praise the Lord. And in

  100. Mark, he says, all the world, Mark chapter 16,

    Mark 16 chapter mention

  101. verse Mark chapter 16 verse 15, right? We see

    Mark 16:15

  102. all the world. Praise the Lord. So what does

  103. all nation mean? Praise the Lord. What does all

  104. nation mean? All nation is the world has her

  105. at nose. Has her at nose. P -A -S -H -O -T -H

  106. -N -O -S What does all nation mean? I will also

  107. read in Luke, in Luke chapter 24. Luke chapter

Luke 24 chapter mention Luke 24 chapter mention

  108. 24. Like I said, just pay attention and you will

  109. understand what we are doing. 24 and verse 47.

  110. He said, our repentance and remission of sin

  111. should be preached in His name to all nations

  112. beginning at Jerusalem. Okay? So we're going

  113. to look at all nations and we're going to look

  114. at why He said they should begin at Jerusalem.

  115. What does that mean? Praise the Lord. Does it

  116. mean that they cannot start from Syria? Does

  117. it mean they should not start from somewhere

  118. else? Praise the Lord! Why start from Jerusalem?

  119. Praise the Lord! Why start from Jerusalem? In

  120. John chapter 20, verse 23, that talks about if

    John 20:23

  121. you forgive the sins of any. Praise the Lord!

  122. So that any day is talking about if you forgive

  123. the sins of anybody that is anybody in the world

  124. Same thing are saying all the world praise the

  125. lord So as you're preaching if you forgive the

  126. sins of any in all the world their sins will

  127. be forgiven praise the lord So we're going to

  128. focus our teaching like I said on all nations

  129. and why does he say they should begin? At jerusalem,

  130. praise the lord all nations right So, I said

  131. that all nations is the word ethnos in the Greek,

  132. right? We see that also in Luke chapter 24. Let's

    Luke 24 chapter mention

  133. go back to Luke chapter 24. The earlier verses

    Luke 24 chapter mention

  134. before, where we read earlier, the earlier verses

  135. in verse 24. And certain of these who were with

  136. us went to the tomb and found it just as the

  137. women had said. But hearing they did not see,

  138. praised the Lord, then He said to them, awfulish

  139. ones, on slow of heart, to believe all that the

  140. prophet hath spoken, but not the Christ, to have

  141. suffered these things, and to enter his glory.

  142. Verse 27 now, it says, Beginning at Moses and

  143. in all the prophets, He expounded to them in

  144. all the scriptures the things concerning Himself.

  145. Praise the Lord! And we also looked at this place

  146. and we saw that what Jesus did was that He taught

  147. them through the scriptures. Praise the Lord!

  148. He did not lay hands on them and say, receive

  149. knowledge. Right? He taught them in all the scriptures.

  150. So Jesus taught them in all the scriptures, right?

  151. And we said that Jesus did not just start teaching

  152. them anything He felt like teaching them. Rather,

  153. He taught them, as the scripture says, from the

  154. entirety of the scriptures. He said, from beginning

  155. and Moses and in all the prophets, He expounded

  156. to them in all the scriptures the things concerning

  157. Himself. And we have looked at that word, expound,

  158. Right? So, Jesus translated to them, in essence,

  159. what has been said. So, we can also say that

  160. in the four gospels and also in the epistle,

  161. what we have here is translations or interpretation

  162. of the scriptures. That is, from Genesis to Malachi.

  163. Praise the Lord! So, because Jesus came and He

  164. spoke the things concerning Himself from the

  165. Scriptures. Praise the Lord! So, you can write

  166. this. Translations are words which give interpretations,

  167. right? Translations are words which give interpretation.

  168. That is, giving meanings to words that are spoken

  169. in other places. in other cultures, in other

  170. languages, in other contexts. Praise the Lord.

  171. He expounded to them in all the scriptures the

  172. things containing himself. They said, beginning

  173. at Moses and in all the prophets. In verse 45

  174. of that same Luke 24. Verse 45. And He opened

  175. their understanding that they may comprehend

  176. the Scriptures. The New King James would say

  177. that He opened their understanding that they

  178. may understand the Scriptures. Praise the Lord.

  179. Right? So, the word to understand, right, it

  180. means to read the Scriptures together. That's

  181. in His saying that they may comprehend. Right?

  182. That place comprehend means that the Scriptures

  183. are read together. is the greek word sunay your

  184. my let me spell it s -y -n -e sorry s -y -n -i

  185. -e -m -i it means to read the scriptures together

  186. which means that the scriptures do not contradict

  187. praise the lord so when he says that He opened

  188. the understanding that they may comprehend the

  189. scriptures, is that the understanding they had,

  190. there was no contradiction. Praise the Lord.

  191. The scriptures do not contradict. It was read

  192. together. Praise the Lord. It was read and interpreted

  193. together. It also means that the scriptures,

  194. right, they mean the same thing. They're not

  195. saying different things. Praise the Lord. So

  196. when you begin to see that something is contradicting

  197. what is said in other places, it means that you

  198. need to read it together. Praise the Lord! The

  199. scriptures do not contradict themselves. It means

  200. the same thing. So Jesus understood how to read

  201. the scriptures properly. Praise the Lord! He

  202. understood what it means to read the scriptures

  203. properly. In verse 44, He said to them, that

  204. all things must be fulfilled which were written

  205. in the law of Moses, the prophet and the sons

  206. consigning me. Praise the Lord! So every teaching

  207. he was giving to them, he was teaching them from

  208. the entirety of the scriptures. Praise the Lord!

  209. He was reading it together, so they are able

  210. to comprehend. They are able to understand. He

  211. read it through. In verse 47, as we said, he

  212. said, And that's what the Savior now said, that

  213. repentance and remission of sins be preached

  214. to all nations beginning at Jerusalem. As we

  215. said, why begin at Jerusalem? Why don't we start

  216. from Utopia? Praise the Lord. Since we saw that

  217. there was Utopia in the Scriptures, why didn't

  218. they start from Utopia? Praise the Lord. Why

  219. did they start from Jerusalem? Why Jerusalem?

  220. So beginning from Jerusalem is also the same

  221. word we see in verse 27 that talks about beginning

  222. at Moses and in the prophets. Right? It's the

  223. same thing that we see there. Acts chapter 1

    Acts 1:8

  224. verse 8. Why Jerusalem? They say, but you shall

  225. receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon

  226. you and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem

  227. and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends

  228. of the earth, that is all nations. Praise the

  229. Lord. So why is he telling them that there will

  230. be witnesses from whom? From Jerusalem. Why Jerusalem?

  231. Praise the Lord. So we must understand, right,

  232. that location or if you like, Geography is also

  233. part of theology. To be able to understand the

  234. scriptures properly, you cannot neglect locations,

  235. things that are said in certain places. For you

  236. to be able to interpret properly, you have to

  237. understand that geography has a huge part to

  238. play in theology. Praise the Lord! Why Jerusalem?

  239. John chapter 4, verse 19 to 20. In secondary

    John 4:19–20

  240. school, by the way, geography was my best subject,

  241. right? I could, during our way, one thing you

  242. can be sure is that we can write the textbook

  243. for you the way it's written, right? Because

  244. we had a very good geography teacher, same as

  245. Uncle Shola, he's a lot. This is my first introduction

  246. to the Yoruba people. Praise the Lord. He was

  247. a very, very good man. Why Jerusalem? John chapter

    John 4 chapter mention

  248. 4, from verse 19 to 20. That is the Samaritan

  249. woman. He says, and the woman said, Sir, I perceive

  250. that you are a prophet. Our fathers worship on

  251. this mountain, and the Jews say that in Jerusalem

  252. is a place where one ought to worship. Why did

  253. the Jews say that Jerusalem is a place where

  254. one ought to worship? Praise the Lord. So, it

  255. means that if you find a location, right, or

  256. you see a location in the Bible, right, there

  257. is a meaning to it. So there is a meaning to

  258. the word Jerusalem, and it's referred to also

  259. from the Old Testament. Second Samuel chapter

    2 Samuel 5 chapter mention

  260. 5, 7 and 9. So, nevertheless, David took the

  261. stronghold of Zion that is the city of David.

  262. And David dwelt in the stronghold and called

  263. it the city of David. And David built all around

  264. from the mills and inward. Praise the Lord. So

  265. Zion is in Jerusalem. Praise the Lord. Zion is

  266. in Jerusalem. And we see that Addo Azak, right?

  267. or Zadak, in Joshua chapter 10 verse 1, we see

    Joshua 10:1

  268. that Jerusalem had a king, praise the Lord. Joshua

    Joshua 10:1

  269. chapter 10 verse 1. We see there that Jerusalem

  270. had a king, praise the Lord. But then, before

  271. then, we have also known that there was a king

  272. of Salem praise the Lord the Jerusalem is not

  273. just one word praise the Lord there was a king

  274. of Salem Genesis chapter 14 verse 18 Genesis

    Genesis 14:18 Genesis 14:18

  275. chapter 14 verse 18 now Melchizedek the king

  276. of Salem brought out bread and wine he watched

  277. the priests of God Most High. Praise the Lord!

  278. That word, Melchizedek, should trick me off.

  279. Thank God I'm able to call it properly nowadays.

  280. Melchizedek is the King of Salem. Praise the

  281. Lord! We also saw that David prophesied about

  282. it. Psalms 110, verse 1 -4. Psalms 110 from his

    Psalms 110:1–4

  283. 1 to 4. Psalms 101. The Psalm of David, the Lord

  284. said to my Lord, sit at my right hand, till I

  285. make your enemies your first two. And the Lord

  286. shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion.

  287. rule in the midst of your enemies. Your people

  288. shall be volunteers, or willing, some other scriptures

  289. would put, in the days of your power, in the

  290. beauty of his holiness from the womb of the morning.

  291. You have the dawn of your youth. Verse four.

  292. The Lord has sworn I will not relent. You are

  293. a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.

  294. Praise the Lord. according to the order of Melchizedek.

  295. So Jerusalem is a place, right, and it has a

  296. king, right? We also saw that David built houses

  297. there, praise the Lord, or the city of David

  298. in that place. So we also see a prophecy here,

  299. right, about how they're going to be a priest

  300. according to the order of Melchizedek, right?

  301. Melchizedek is the king of Salem, which we know

  302. as the king of righteousness and justice. Praise

  303. the Lord. So we see how important this is. Isaiah

    Isaiah 40:9

  304. 40 verse 9. Isaiah, more on Jerusalem, Isaiah

    Isaiah 40:9

  305. 40 verse 9. Isaiah chapter 40 verse 9. O Zion,

    Isaiah 40:9

  306. you who bring good tithing, get up in the high

  307. mountains, O Jerusalem, you who bring good tithing,

  308. lift up your voice with strength, lift it up,

  309. be not afraid, say to the city of Judah, behold

  310. your God. Praise the Lord. Behold your God. And

  311. there have been several teachings on good tiding,

  312. right? The word good tiding there is the word

  313. basea, right? B -A -S -A -R. It's pronounced

  314. basea. B -A -S -A -N, right? And good tiding

  315. is about the kingdom of God. Praise the Lord.

  316. The good tide in the air is about the kingdom

  317. of God. It's a behold your God. So the concept

  318. of Jerusalem is that of a kingdom. Praise the

  319. Lord. The idea of Jerusalem is that of a kingdom.

  320. It's a kingdom of peace. Praise the Lord. It

  321. is the kingdom of peace. Praise the Lord. it

  322. is the kingdom of peace right its war or sorry

  323. its weapon is also that of peace praise the lord

  324. its weapon is also that of peace so by speaking

  325. of them to begin at Jerusalem in Luke chapter

    Luke 4 chapter mention

  326. 4 so Luke chapter 24 from verse 47 right It is

    Luke 24 chapter mention

  327. because Jerusalem is a geography that has a theology.

  328. Praise the Lord. It has a meaning. Praise the

  329. Lord. It is not just like any other city. It

  330. is different from every other city. It is about

  331. the kingdom. And it is the kingdom of peace.

  332. Praise the Lord. So when he says they should

  333. bring good tidings about the kingdom, It's a

  334. sign that it is about peace. The message is peace.

  335. Praise the Lord. So the people understood what...

  336. So it's a different kingdom from every other

  337. one. They knew that the gospel was the gospel

  338. about a kingdom. Praise the Lord. So when he

  339. says, beginning at Jerusalem, he knew that it

  340. was about a kingdom and a kingdom... has king.

  341. And the king is for the whole earth. Praise the

  342. Lord. It is not just a kingdom for a king for

  343. Jerusalem, but for the whole earth. And he's

  344. also a kingdom of peace. So he says beginning

  345. at Jerusalem means that the message, right, and

  346. the location are related. Praise the Lord. The

  347. location is that of peace. The message is that

  348. of peace. praise the lord is that of the kingdom

  349. of god the message and the location is related

  350. to each other jerusalem is a place of peace so

  351. beginning at jerusalem it is saying it is a gospel

  352. of peace praise the lord it is a gospel of peace

  353. do you understand do you understand So when he

  354. says, beginning at Jerusalem, he's saying that

  355. Jerusalem is a place of peace. It is the gospel

  356. of peace. The message and the location are related.

  357. Romans 10 verse 15. Romans 10 verse 15. I say,

    Romans 10:15 Romans 10:15

  358. how shall they preach unless they are said? And

  359. it's written, how beautiful are the feet of those

  360. who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad

  361. tidings of good things. He says what? Who preach

  362. the gospel of peace? Praise the Lord! Who preach

  363. the gospel of peace? Or the gospel, if you like,

  364. of Jerusalem. Why? Because Jerusalem is a place

  365. of peace. It is a kingdom of God. So, Jesus has

  366. brought peace and what He is reconciling men

  367. to Himself. So, when He says they should preach,

  368. He is telling them that you have preached the

  369. gospel of peace, or beginning at Jerusalem, it

  370. is the gospel of peace. Praise the Lord! So,

  371. we now see how the location is related to the

  372. message. Right? So, but let's not get it wrong.

  373. Right? Just like some of you will see later how

  374. some of the disciples, they understand what he

  375. was saying. So, Jerusalem now, or Jerusalem is

  376. a parable. Praise the Lord. Jerusalem is a parable.

  377. Praise the Lord. And, but the message is a reality

  378. of what he's saying. Praise the Lord. What is

  379. a parable? Anybody want to help us? Jerusalem

  380. is a parable. Jerusalem is communicating something.

  381. It is not a thing itself, but it's communicating

  382. something. Jerusalem is a parable, but a message,

  383. and the message is a reality. So by saying, beginning

  384. at Jerusalem, he's saying the kingdom of peace,

  385. righteousness, and joy. Romans chapter 14 verse

    Romans 14:7

  386. 7 describing Jerusalem Romans chapter 14 verse

    Romans 14:17

  387. 17 rather Romans chapter 14 verse 17 for the

    Romans 14:17

  388. kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking

  389. but righteousness peace and joy and the holy

  390. ghost praise the lord It is also the description

  391. of what Jerusalem is. It is about the kingdom

  392. of God. So Jerusalem is a parable that has a

  393. message, but the message is a reality of it.

  394. Praise the Lord. So what then do we do? So as

  395. a child of God, do you go and start preaching

  396. from Jerusalem now? Praise the Lord. We don't

  397. start from Jerusalem. Why? because we have Jerusalem.

  398. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. We don't go to Jerusalem

  399. or we don't start from Jerusalem because we have

  400. Jerusalem. That is, we have the peace of God.

  401. We have the joy of God. We have received forgiveness.

  402. We are righteous people. That is what he represents.

  403. So beginning at Jerusalem, Jesus was using a

  404. location to teach them something. He was using

  405. a location to teach them about the peace that

  406. God has brought. The realities of the kingdom.

  407. Praise the Lord. Acts chapter 1. Let's go back

    Acts 1 chapter mention

  408. there again. Acts chapter 1. Acts chapter 1.

Acts 1 chapter mention Acts 1 chapter mention

  409. And verse 3 would tell us. He said, Who's speaking?

  410. Who's seeing Peter? Sorry. Acts chapter 1. Verse

    Acts 1 chapter mention

  411. 3. to whom He also presented Himself alive after

  412. His suffering by many infallible proofs, being

  413. seen by them during forty days, speaking of the

  414. things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Praise

  415. the Lord! Speaking of the things pertaining to

  416. the kingdom of God, verse 6 now. Therefore, when

  417. they had come together, They asked him saying,

  418. Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom

  419. to Israel? Praise the Lord. Will you at this

  420. time restore the kingdom to Israel? Praise the

  421. Lord. We see here that they got it wrong. Praise

  422. the Lord. What he was teaching them was that

  423. the gospel or the peace that is coming is for

  424. the whole nation or that ease is for the whole

  425. nation. The message is for the whole nation.

  426. But we see here that they are asking him, will

  427. you again restore the kingdom to Israel? So Israel

  428. or Jerusalem is a parable, like I said. And then,

  429. but the message is the reality. Verse seven,

  430. he says, he said to them, it is not for you to

  431. know time and season which the father has put

  432. in his authority. Right? So no. Praise the Lord.

  433. Basically, that's what he's saying to them. No,

  434. there is nothing like that. Verse 8, now. But

  435. ye shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has

  436. come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses to me

  437. in Jerusalem, and in Judea, and to all the ends

  438. of the earth. Praise the Lord. So this is a kingdom

  439. he's speaking about. Praise the Lord. Verse 8

  440. is a kingdom that he's talking about. To the

  441. ends of the earth. Praise the Lord. So we have

  442. looked at Jerusalem. Now let's look at all nations.

  443. All nations. Psalms chapter two. Psalms chapter

  444. two, verse six to eight. Yet I have set my king

  445. on my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree,

  446. the Lord has said to me, you are my son, today

  447. I have begotten you. Ask of me and I will give

  448. you the nation for your inheritance and the ends

  449. of the earth for your possession. Praise the

  450. Lord. Verse 6, sorry, verse 8 says what? He says,

  451. I will give you the nation for your inheritance

  452. and the ends of the earth. So, the nation there

  453. is the world of the Hebrew word Goy. G -O -Y.

  454. Right? It is also for heeding. Some other scriptures

  455. say, I will give you the heeding for your inheritance.

  456. Praise the Lord! I will give you the heeding

  457. for your inheritance. So, inheritance is showing

  458. the territory of a king. Praise the Lord! that

  459. the hidden are also his territory. Praise the

  460. Lord. They belong to him. See, I will give you

  461. the hidden or the nation for your possession.

  462. It's the word goy, G -O -Y. So, that word is

  463. used for gentile or other nations. Praise the

  464. Lord. That word is used for gentiles or other

  465. nations apart from the Jew. Praise the Lord.

  466. So Jesus has always emphasized that Him and His

  467. message is for all the nations. Praise the Lord.

  468. His message, He has always emphasized that Him

  469. and His message has always been for all nations.

  470. So let's follow that word, go ahead and see some

  471. things about all nations. Genesis of the third

  472. verse five. From these, the coastland people

  473. of the Gentiles were separated into their land.

  474. Everyone according to their language, according

  475. to their families, into all their nations. Praise

  476. the Lord. The Gentile or nation is a word, Goyle,

  477. in that place. So at this point, the nation of

  478. Israel had not been born. Genesis 10 verse 5.

    Genesis 10:5

  479. At this point, the nation of Israel as not they

  480. were not bonded okay so but before now we have

  481. also had you know we have had abel people that

  482. worked with god praise the lord we have had the

  483. people and several others who had worked with

  484. god god had men which he had worked with right

  485. and in these places if you keep reading down

  486. He talks about, he's known as the nation of,

  487. or the 70 nations. Praise the Lord. The 70 nations,

  488. right, before the foul of Babel. The 70 nations.

  489. So God had men that he was working with even

  490. before Israel was born. So before the nation,

  491. Israel, before the nation of Israel, God was

  492. dealing with the nations of the world. every

  493. nation. Praise the Lord. Genesis chapter 12 verse

    Genesis 12:1

  494. 1 and 2 verse 3 Genesis chapter 12 speaking of

    Genesis 12 chapter mention

  495. Abraham Genesis chapter 12 verse 1 Now the Lord

    Genesis 12:1

  496. said to Abraham get out of your country From

  497. your family from your father's house to the land

  498. that I will show you and I will make I will make

  499. you a great nation and I will bless you and Make

  500. your name great and you shall be a blessing rest

  501. three And I'll bless those who bless you and

  502. I'll cost those who cost you and in you all the

  503. families of the earth Shall be blessed. Praise

  504. the Lord. So in you all the nation shall be blessed.

  505. In Genesis chapter four, Genesis chapter 17 verse

    Genesis 17 chapter mention

  506. four. We see that word again. As for me, behold,

  507. my covenant is with you, and you shall be a father

  508. of many nations, many nations. The word again

  509. going. Verse 6 now. I will make you exceedingly

  510. fruitful and I will make nations of you and kings

  511. shall come from you, nations and kings. In verse

  512. 16, speaking of Serak. And I will bless her and

  513. give her and give you a son by her. Then I will

  514. bless her. and she shall be a mother of nation

  515. kings of people shall come shall be from her

  516. praise the lord verse 20 mother of nation verse

  517. 20 as for ishmael i have heard you behold i will

  518. bless him and i will make him fruitful and will

  519. multiply him exceedingly it shall be god twelve

  520. princes and i will make him a great nation, great

  521. nation. Genesis chapter 22 verse 18. In you,

    Genesis 22:18

  522. in your seed, all the nations of the earth shall

  523. be blessed because you have obeyed my voice.

  524. So God's intention is for all nations. Praise

  525. the Lord. God's intention is for all nations.

  526. So Israel's goal is to bring all the nations

  527. to the promised Messiah. There is a lot. Israel

  528. wants to bring the people to the promised Messiah.

  529. Right? They were supposed to be a servant people,

  530. people that brought people to God. And we see

  531. that that also reflected on how Moses related

  532. with the nations. Praise the Lord. So it's like

  533. saying, you are saved so that others will be

  534. saved. Praise the Lord. That is the role that

  535. they are playing. We see how that relates, how

  536. Moses relates with the nations. Remember, the

  537. nations had priests and prophets, right, before

  538. Israel. Numbers 11 verse 11. We see how This

    Numbers 11:11

  539. Seventy Nation we saw earlier, what we call the

  540. Seventy, how it is also, we see it in the writings

  541. again, of Moses. So Moses said to the Lord, Why

  542. have you afflicted your servant? And why have

  543. I not found favour in your sight, that you have

  544. laid the burden of all these people on me? Verse

  545. 16 now. And the Lord said to Moses, gather to

  546. me seventy men of the elders of Israel whom you

  547. know to be elders of the people and officials

  548. over them, and bring them to the tabernacle of

  549. meeting, and they will stand before me." So we

  550. see here again, right? He's bringing up seventy

  551. men of seventy elders. Exodus chapter 24 verse

    Exodus 24:1

  552. 1. now he said to moses come up sorry come up

  553. to the lord you eron nabdad and abu and 70 of

  554. the elders of israel and worship from afar praise

  555. the lord 70 elders why 70 elders exodus chapter

  556. They said, And you shall be to me a kingdom of

  557. priests and a holy nation. These are the words

  558. which you shall speak to the children of Israel.

  559. And we saw earlier that who was a kingdom of

  560. priests before now. We saw that Melchizedek was

  561. the kingdom of priests before now. Why is 70?

  562. So we have 70 men or 70 elders which represent

  563. the 70 nations that was there before now, praise

  564. the Lord, or before Israel came or were born.

  565. So this, the message, right, shows the message

  566. and the mission shows that it is for 17 nations.

  567. That is for all the nations. Praise the Lord.

  568. It is not just for Israel. It is for all the

  569. nations. So in Luke 9, we saw that Jesus chose

  570. 12 disciples, which represent the 12 tribes of

  571. Israel. But then in Luke 3, verse 1, we saw that

    Luke 3:1

  572. He appointed 70. Praise the Lord. After this,

  573. the Lord appointed 70 others also and sent them

  574. two by two before His face into every city and

  575. place where He Himself was about to go. Praise

  576. the Lord. So if we follow that Luke chapter 10,

    Luke 10 chapter mention

  577. Luke chapter 9, which the Lord selected or sent

    Luke 9 chapter mention

  578. the 12th. We will see the reference in Matthew

    Matthew 10:5–8

  579. chapter 10 verse 5 to 8. Matthew chapter 10 verse

    Matthew 10:5–8

  580. 5 to 8. This 12th, Jesus sent out and commanded

  581. them, saying, Do not go into the way of the Gentiles,

  582. and do not enter the city. of the Samaritans.

  583. Praise the Lord. They said, but rather go to

  584. the lost house, go to the lost sheep of the house

  585. of Israel. And as you go, preach saying, the

  586. kingdom of heaven is at hand. They say, heal

  587. the sheep, cleanse the leopards, raise the dead,

  588. cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely

  589. give. Praise the Lord. So we see here that he

  590. says to them, do not go to the Gentiles. praise

  591. the lord but then it's not the same instruction

  592. he gave to the 70 praise the lord look chapter

  593. 10 always one and two look chapter 10 he says

  594. after these things the lord appointed 70 others

  595. others also and send them two by two before his

  596. face and he says into every city praise the lord

  597. there is no go to the jews alone go everywhere

  598. right and place where he himself was about to

  599. go. Verse two. Then he said to them, the harvest

  600. is truly great, but the laborers are few. Therefore

  601. pray the Lord, pray the Lord of harvest to send

  602. out laborers into his harvest. Praise the Lord.

  603. We see that he's sending or he says to them that

  604. the harvest is indeed plenteous. Praise the Lord.

  605. Verse five now. He said, whatever house you enter,

  606. first say peace to this house. So he's telling

  607. them go everywhere, whatever house, right? Anywhere

  608. you go to. We see the same thing in verse eight

  609. and verse 10. He said, whatever city you enter

  610. and they receive you, each such as they said

  611. before you. So whatever city you enter, verse

  612. 10 now. He said, but whatever city you enter,

  613. and they do not receive you, go into the street

  614. and say, praise the Lord. So we see here again

  615. that whatever city, which means that the message

  616. was for the entire earth. It was for every man.

  617. It was for everybody. So the idea that Jesus

  618. said to them, go into all the world, right, was

  619. not invented by him. Praise the Lord. So when

  620. he says, go into all the world, it was not Jesus

  621. that started saying that from Matthew. It has

  622. been there in Genesis. Praise the Lord! So he's

  623. already telling them to do the things that we

  624. are reading. Praise the Lord! He was telling

  625. them to go to do the things that we are reading.

  626. It was not new. It was not the first time. It

  627. being in the four gospels, it's not the first

  628. time. Praise the Lord. So this is the great commission

  629. which has been seen in Genesis and in Exodus

  630. and in all the prophets. Praise the Lord. So

  631. God did not just change his mind. Praise the

  632. Lord. He did not have a change of heart in the

  633. four Bospels and he started telling them, go

  634. into all the world. It has always been there.

  635. Praise the Lord. It has always been there. Matthew

    Matthew 28 chapter mention

  636. chapter 28. Verse 19, all nations, the message

  637. of Jerusalem. The message of Jerusalem, the message

  638. of peace. I remember we said that the King of

  639. Jerusalem is Melchizedek who is not a Jew. There

  640. is a lot. Matthew chapter 4 from verse 12 to

    Matthew 4 chapter mention

  641. 17. Matthew chapter 12. Matthew chapter 4 from

Matthew 12 chapter mention Matthew 4 chapter mention

  642. verse 12 to 17. Matthew chapter 4 from verse

    Matthew 4 chapter mention

  643. 12 to 17. Now when Jesus heard about John, that

  644. John has been put in prison, he departed to Galilee.

  645. Living in Nazareth, he came and dwells in Capaniel,

  646. which was by the sea in the region of Zebulun

  647. and Natsali, that it may be fulfilled, which

  648. was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, the

  649. land of Zebulun, the land of Natsali, by the

  650. way of the sea beyond Jordan, Galilee of Gentiles.

  651. Praise the Lord. Galilee of Gentiles, 17. From

  652. that time, Jesus, Begin to preach. Repent for

  653. the kingdom is at hand. Praise the Lord. Why

  654. did we go to Galilee of the Gentiles verse 16?

  655. Why did it start from there? Why did it start

  656. preaching from there? Praise the Lord. So, why

  657. they said Galilee of the Gentiles, now what Gentiles

  658. is what? Galilee of the nations. Praise the Lord.

  659. Galilee of the nations. Galilee of the nations.

  660. So Jesus started preaching from where? Galilee

  661. of the nations. It is a place where the foreigners

  662. and mixed people are. Praise the Lord. He didn't

  663. start from a town where it is all Jews. Right?

  664. He started from a place where it is foreigners.

  665. It is people that mixed Jews. People that you

  666. regard as maybe not original or maybe they are

  667. too mixed. They married from a different place.

  668. It is a place where different people come. Right?

  669. It's a mixed environment. Like some people will

  670. say that London is a city of something. You know,

  671. mixed people. People from everywhere are there.

  672. Praise the Lord! It's the same thing as what

  673. Galilee of the Genchai. Praise the Lord! So,

  674. Jesus began to preach from the nations. Praise

  675. the Lord! He went to where... that he may be

  676. fulfilled, remember what he said earlier, that

  677. he may be fulfilled that which was written in

  678. Isaiah. Like I said, God's intention or God's

  679. message has always been for the entire nation.

  680. So we know the song, I love the man of Galilee.

  681. Praise the Lord! Jesus is from Galilee. Right?

  682. So when you say that, you are saying that...

  683. Jesus is the saviour of the world, Galilee of

  684. the Gentiles, Galilee of the nations. So this

  685. text is also referenced in Isaiah, Isaiah chapter

    Isaiah 9:1

  686. 9 verse 1 and 2. Isaiah chapter 1, Isaiah chapter

Isaiah 1 chapter mention Isaiah 9:1

  687. 9 verse 1 and 2. Nevertheless, the gloom will

  688. not be poured upon her who is just as when the

  689. first He likely esteemed the land of Zebuli,

  690. the land of Netzali, and afterward more heavily

  691. oppressed by her, by the way of the sea beyond

  692. Jordan, and the Galilee of the Gentiles. Praise

  693. the Lord. Verse two. The people who walk in darkness

  694. have seen a great light. Those who dwell in the

  695. land of shadow of death, upon them a light has

  696. shone. Praise the Lord. So we see that that's

  697. where this Matthew was gotten from. It is a message

  698. for the entire world. Praise the Lord. He started

  699. to preach from the darkest of places. Praise

  700. the Lord. To show that the message is for everybody.

  701. Isaiah chapter 42 from verse 6 to 9. I the Lord

    Isaiah 42 chapter mention

  702. has called you righteous. and I will hold your

  703. hands, I will keep you and give you as a covenant

  704. to the people as light to the Gentile. Praise

  705. the Lord. Verse seven now. To open blind eyes,

  706. to bring out prisoners, to bring out the prisoners

  707. from prison, those who sit in darkness for the

  708. prison house. Verse eight. I am the Lord, that

  709. is my name and my glory I will not give to another

  710. nor my praise to carved images. Behold the former

  711. things has come to pass, a new thing I declare.

  712. Behold, sorry before the spring forth I will

  713. tell them, I will tell you of them. Praise the

  714. Lord. When he says new things he's talking about

  715. new creation. Praise the Lord. It is speaking

  716. of new creation. So we see that this message

  717. is not new. It's a go and make disciples of all

  718. nations. Jesus is saying, right, or he's telling

  719. them that he's just reminding them of the call

  720. that God has put upon them. There's a lot. Jesus

  721. gave the great commission from the same Galilee

  722. of the Gentiles. Matthew chapter 28 verse 7.

    Matthew 28:7

  723. So we also see that when Jesus is telling them,

  724. Go and make disciples, He also went to the same

  725. place which He started from. Praise the Lord!

  726. Matthew 27 ,38 -7. Go quickly and tell His disciples

  727. that He has risen from the dead, and indeed He

  728. is going before you into Galilee. There you will

  729. see Him. Behold, I have told you. Verse 10. Then

  730. Jesus said to them, Do not be afraid. Go and

  731. tell my brethren to go to Galilee. There they

  732. will see me. Verse 16. Then the twelve disciples

  733. went into Galilee to the mountain which Jesus

  734. had appointed for them. Praise the Lord! So before

  735. he gave them the great commission, he also went

  736. there to the Galilee of Gentiles. of the nations

  737. praise the lord to tell them how important this

  738. message is not just for the jews right it's for

  739. the whole earth praise the lord so this geography

  740. or these things we have looked at is instrumental

  741. to the message right it means that the message

  742. is for the whole world right it's saying that

  743. think about the nation So when he says, when

  744. they were there and he's telling them, go into

  745. the world, he's saying, think about everybody.

  746. Praise the Lord! So he's saying to them that

  747. the gospel does not understand ethnicity. Praise

  748. the Lord! It does not understand that you're

  749. from Rwanda. It does not understand that you're

  750. from Nigeria. It does not understand, it does

  751. not discriminate. Praise the Lord! So, and we

  752. must not in any way transmit human culture to

  753. it. Praise the Lord. It does not discriminate.

  754. It's for the whole world. Which means that the

  755. gospel is culture blind. It does not discriminate

  756. cultures. Praise the Lord. Make disciples of

  757. all nations. The gospel is not English. It is

  758. not Swahili, right? The gospel is not your ethnicity.

  759. It's not Nigerian. Praise the Lord. The gospel

  760. is for the entire world. So the church ought

  761. to be a point for all nations. Praise the Lord.

  762. The church ought to be a point for all nations.

  763. So you and I have believers who do not, or brethren

  764. who do not speak the same language as we presently

  765. speak, or as you speak. Praise the Lord! But

  766. we have a natural language in the Spirit. Hallelujah!

  767. We have a natural language in the Spirit. So

  768. we must get used to it. So you don't come to

  769. church and you say, Oh, these people... Some

  770. of them are Nigerians. I don't really like to

  771. flow with Nigerians. Some of them are from Zimbabwe.

  772. I don't really know. Praise the Lord! It is for

  773. all nations. The gathering is a gathering of

  774. nations. We gather as a gathering of people from

  775. different places. The message we preach is for

  776. everybody. Praise the Lord! So, just two more

  777. minutes and I'm out. So wearing a suit is not

  778. in Christ. Okay? This thing I wore now is not

  779. in Christ. Right? Wearing a suit is not in Christ.

  780. It transcends that. You don't bring your cultures

  781. or the things that you believe in. Praise the

  782. Lord. Or wearing garments. Most of you wear white

  783. garments. Right? It's not in Christ. And then

  784. in closing, Matthew 28 verse 20 says what? Teaching

    Matthew 28:20

  785. them to observe all the things that have commanded

  786. you and law am with you. Teaching them the edashko.

  787. So when you preach, right? What we do when we

  788. preach is that we are forming new patterns in

  789. people's life. When you sit down and you hear

  790. the word of God, you are forming new patterns.

  791. That's why we encourage you to come to church.

  792. Praise the Lord, right? You are forming new patterns.

  793. The more you hear the Word of God, the more you

  794. begin to see changes. You begin to see people

  795. differently. Praise the Lord. The more you begin

  796. to talk differently, the more you begin to act

  797. differently. The gospel is for the whole world

  798. and it can influence the whole world. And it

  799. will influence the whole world. Praise the Lord.
