Welcome to NECF Sermons. Each message here is
-
designed to uplift and strengthen you in your
-
walk with God. Don't miss out. Stay with us until
-
the end for a rewarding experience. Let's dive
-
right in. Luke 24, everybody. Verse 47. Luke
-
24, verse 47, everybody. You see, all the subject
-
of greater works cannot be a reality without
-
the finished works of Jesus. Hallelujah. Greater
-
works are predicated upon what Christ has done.
-
Amen. In fact, let me put it this way. Not only
-
what Christ has done, but all that Christ has
-
done. Praise God. Not some of the things he has
-
done. Not one or two things that he has done.
-
But what? But all the things. Christ has what?
-
Done. Faith for the believer is the product of
-
the finished works. What Christ has done. Hallelujah.
-
Praise God. So every time we affirm that we see
-
signs, wonders, and miracles regularly in our
-
meetings are a product of what? All that Christ
-
has what? Has done. Praise God. Hallelujah. Why
-
you are a believer, why you can boldly say, I
-
am born again, and I have the Spirit of God in
-
me, is because of all that Christ has what? Has
-
done. So if we remove what Christ has done, there
-
is no believing, if there is any word like that.
-
There is nothing like that. Every one of us will
-
just be unbelievers, living our lives in darkness.
-
But you see, as a product of what he has done,
-
the scripture says we have been delivered from
-
the kingdom of darkness and translated into the
-
kingdom of his dear son, the place of light.
-
First Thessalonians, we say we are the children
-
of light. We are not the children of night again.
-
Hallelujah. What Christ has done has brought
-
us into light. Praise God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
-
Say I am a product. I am a product. I am an evidence
-
of all that Christ has done. And it's my reality.
-
Glory to Jesus. Glory to Jesus. Luke 24, verse
-
47. The topic that we will have is just an introduction.
-
Because I've been looking at how we connect it
-
to what is coming ahead of us. But it's just
-
an introduction. Amen. The believer's authority
-
in the name of Jesus. The believer's authority
-
in what? In the name of what? Jesus. The believer's
-
authority in the name of Jesus. Is it a name
-
that we just shout it? When the boss want to,
-
you know, just slides on the road. When you are
-
inside the plane and then there's a turbulence.
-
Is it the name you say? Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
-
Jesus. In fact, some people ask Nazareth. Jesus
-
Christ of Nazareth. Because if they say Jesus,
-
it's like the thing will not carry power. Say
-
Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Yes, they have to specify
-
it. Blood of Jesus, blood of Jesus, blood of
-
Jesus, blood of Jesus, blood of Jesus. Jesus,
-
oh Jesus. I don't know whether in Kenya they
-
call it that way, but in Nigeria, they will call
-
it in high tone, middle tone, low tone. Is it
-
actually the calling and then the naming of the
-
name that is the reality for the believer? Or
-
there is much more the believer needs to know.
-
Amen. So that the believer can be able to stand
-
in the place of that knowledge and operate. Praise
-
God. So the team is what? The believer's authority
-
in what? In the name of who? Of Jesus. Say, I
-
have the name. Say, I have the name. Say, I am
-
in the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
-
So Luke 24, everybody verse 47. Okay. And that
-
repentance and remission of sins, Shall be preached.
-
In whose name? In his name among what? All nations
-
beginning at what? Jerusalem. However let's just
-
retrace back. Right? To verse 30. Verse 36. Let's
-
retrace back to 36. Amen. And as they spoke,
-
Jesus himself stood in the midst of them and
-
said unto them, do what? Peace be unto you. This
-
is after resurrection now. Amen? Yes, so this
-
appearance is after resurrection. Hallelujah.
-
If somebody is sleeping beside you, please ask
-
the ushers to bring water. Give the person water
-
to drink. Were you flying in the night? That
-
was a joke. But give them water to drink. Amen.
-
Praise God. But they were terrified and affrighted.
-
And suppose that they had seen a what? They had
-
seen a what? Spirit. A ghost. And he said unto
-
them, why are ye troubled? And why do thoughts
-
arise in your hearts? He has perceived it. Is
-
it really Jesus? Are you sure this is Jesus?
-
Is it a shadow? No, I don't think this is rain.
-
Remember, somebody said, no, but he told us he
-
will be raised in the third day. He said, no,
-
no, I don't think. We have not seen. At least
-
there should be something miraculous. The clouds
-
will have gathered. Rain will have fell. We'll
-
have had thunders. You know, we'll have seen
-
appearance of angels everywhere. And this is
-
Jesus we are talking about. So how is it that?
-
So some could be talking like that in their hearts.
-
And he has perceived that thought. And he said,
-
why are you troubled? And why do your thoughts
-
arise? Why do your thoughts arise in your heart?
-
Verse 39. Behold my what? My hands and my feet.
-
That it is I. What? Myself. Hallelujah. Handle
-
me. And see. For a spirit has not what? Flesh
-
and what? And bones as ye see me what? Have.
-
So Jesus came. He had flesh. He had what? He
-
had bones. So what Christ was already doing,
-
he was addressing the thought in where? In their
-
hearts. But in fact, this is not even why Christ
-
wants to address the thought where? In their
-
hearts. There's a greater reason why he needs
-
to address that thought. Hallelujah. Because
-
already he can perceive unbelief. Amen. Good
-
now. 30. And when he had thus spoken, he showed
-
them his hands and his words. And while they
-
yet believed not. Can you see? Come on now. Pastor
-
TK told me he will come back again. And he has
-
appeared. Is this for me to believe him or to
-
doubt him? To believe him. He has told me, I
-
have bones. Check it. In fact, there is flesh.
-
Check it. And still I am what? I am not agreeing
-
that he is the one. Don't worry. Pastor TK is
-
not leaving now. He is here. See now what he
-
said. Verse 42. Verse 41. And while they yet
-
believe not for joy. Can you see? What were they
-
supposed to be doing? What were they supposed
-
to be doing? They should be rejoicing. Glory!
-
Jesus has risen again. What he told us is now
-
being fulfilled and it's a reality. But now,
-
see now. And one that he said unto them, do you
-
have any what? Me, that's our second evidence.
-
If he was a spirit or what? Or he has applied
-
in body, he has appeared in body with bones and
-
with flesh. You know that thing? There was a
-
boy that passed away a long time in our area.
-
We call him Gigi. Gigi in Hausa means grandfather.
-
So the boy is a small boy, 8 years, 9 years,
-
but they call him grandfather. He does things
-
like an elderly person. Right? So you see him
-
quiet. He just does things like an elderly person.
-
So he passed away. They buried him around an
-
area in the house. Every night that the grandmother
-
would go and put food on the grave, that he comes
-
out in the night to eat. If you are from Africa,
-
you will believe some of this or you have heard
-
some of these things. That he comes out and then
-
eats the food. I've never seen where they drop
-
the food. But they told us that in the morning
-
the plates are empty. That's what they told us.
-
I announce to you, they don't come out and eat.
-
Are you hearing what I'm saying? I announce to
-
you, they don't what? They don't come out and
-
what? And eat. Dogs must have eaten that food.
-
Something have finished that food. You see? Jesus
-
said, do you have what? Meat. Give me. And see
-
what Christ did. And they gave him a piece of
-
what? Broiled what? Fish. And of what? And honeycomb.
-
I don't know. Why they did that? Maybe that's
-
what they had left. And he took it and did what?
-
And ate it before them. The food never fell anyway.
-
It stayed intact. Second evidence, right? At
-
least they can believe that he is the one. 44.
-
And he said unto them, These are the words which
-
I did what? Speak unto you while I was yet with
-
you that all things must be fulfilled which were
-
written in the law of Moses and in the prophets
-
and in Psalms concerning what? Not that I will
-
rise from the dead and show my hands to you.
-
Those are not the things that will be fulfilled.
-
Not that I will rise from the dead and you will
-
give me boiled fish and honeycomb and I will
-
eat to prove that I am the one. What Jesus was
-
saying that the prophets have spoken concerning
-
him is more than broiled fish and what? And honeycomb.
-
It's more than him showing his hands so that
-
they can feel it and his feet. Praise God. 45.
-
Then open him their understanding that they might
-
understand the what? The scripture. So you see.
-
When Christ is speaking about the fulfillment
-
of the things that were spoken concerning him,
-
were things spoken from where? From the scriptures.
-
46. And said unto them, Thus it is written. Written
-
in where? Please walk with me. Written in where?
-
In the scriptures. Right? And thus, what was
-
written? That it be with Christ to do what? Suffer.
-
So what is the promise that Christ will do what?
-
Everyone of us. Christ will Suffer one, rise
-
from the dead, the what? The third day, 47, all
-
together, under repentance and what? Remission
-
of sins shall be preached in whose name? In Christ's
-
name that suffered and was raised from what?
-
From the dead, the third day, among two nations,
-
among Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem, among how many
-
nations? All nations. But beginning at what?
-
Jerusalem. And see what he told them. And you
-
are what? Witnesses of what? Of these things.
-
Hallelujah. So one of the things that we are
-
establishing from here. Is that. He said. As
-
a result of all that have been promised. Spoken
-
by the prophets in the scriptures. And today.
-
You are witnesses of them. Witnesses of what?
-
They are not only witnesses of resurrection.
-
Their witness is suffering. Hallelujah. Their
-
witness is death. Hallelujah. And now, above
-
all, their witnessing is what? Is resurrection.
-
And he said to them, that he said, why these
-
things are fulfilled is that repentance and remission
-
of sins should be what? So which means that if
-
there was no suffering, there was no death, there
-
was no burial, there was no raising from the
-
dead, then there wouldn't be the message of repentance
-
and remission of sins to be preached among what?
-
All nations. Are you all with me? Are you all
-
with me? So the message about repentance and
-
remission of sins preached to all nations is
-
a product of Jesus' death, burial and what? Resurrection.
-
But he said something that was key there. He
-
said this message should be preached in whose
-
name? In whose name? In my name. And that is
-
what we are construing. The believer's authority
-
in the name of who? Jesus. Now, the word name.
-
The word name. Name. The word name is from the
-
Greek word onoma. O -N -O -M -A. The word name
-
is from the Greek word what? Onoma. N -O -M -A.
-
So universally, we can refer it to be proper
-
names that identify different persons. So universally,
-
Koston, Pastor Takunda, Pastor Frederick, Pastor
-
Chidi, proper names. Onoma, universally, we use
-
them, they mean proper names to differentiate
-
people. All of us in this room cannot be constant.
-
Amen? All of us in this room cannot be chokobleke.
-
It's not possible. We cannot be bitter. We cannot
-
be precious. We cannot be patient. So a proper
-
name, universally, onoma. Amen? To identify different
-
persons. Mark. Chapter 3, verse 16. Let's see
-
that. Mark 3, 16. Mark 3, 16. See what the scripture
-
says. And Simon, his surname what? Peter. Hallelujah.
-
And Simon, his surname what? And James, the son
-
of, can you see proper names to identify individuals?
-
And John, the brother of James, and his son named
-
him what? Boaneges, which is the sons of Tonda.
-
And Andrew, and Philly, and Bartholomew, and
-
Matthew, and Thomas, and James, the son of Alphaeus,
-
and Thaddeus, and Simon the what? Canaanite.
-
And not the least. And Judas. Iscariot. Proper
-
name. Amen. Hallelujah. Mark 6. 14. 15. Proper
-
names. Please just walk with me. We are having
-
a good study this morning. Mark 16. Mark chapter
Mark 6 chapter mention
-
6. Sorry verse 14 to 15. See what the scripture
-
says. And King Herod heard him. For his name
-
was spread. What? And he said that John the Baptist
-
was risen from the dead. And therefore mighty
-
works do show for themselves where? In him. Whose
-
name? Jesus' name. It went abroad. Amen. 15.
-
Others say that it is what? Elijah. And others
-
say that it is a prophet. Or as one of the what?
-
One of the prophets. Add this to your writing.
-
Acts chapter 13 verse 6 to 8. Proper names. Proper
-
names. So, that is universally as proper names.
-
Amen? Then, onoma can be used figuratively. Onoma
-
can be used what? Figuratively. Praise God. Onoma
-
can be used figuratively to mean a person's authority.
-
A person's what? Authority. So in fact, let me
-
just move ahead of myself. We can say the believer's
-
authority in the authority of Jesus. Hallelujah.
-
Glory to Jesus. The believer's authority in the
-
authority of who? Of Jesus. A person's authority,
-
a person's reputation. A person's office. A person's
-
ability. A person's position. A person's character.
-
A person's function. I'm going to repeat myself,
-
don't worry. Onoma can be used figuratively to
-
mean a person's authority. A person's reputation.
-
A person's office. A person's ability. A person's
-
position. A person's character and a person's
-
what? Function. So we can say this way from our
-
topic now. Right? The believer's authority in
-
what? Number one, the believer's authority in
-
what? This class. The believer's authority in
-
the authority of Jesus. The believer's authority
-
in the reputation of Jesus. The believer's authority
-
in the... Office of Jesus. The believer's authority
-
in the ability of Jesus. The believer's authority
-
in the position of Jesus. The believer's authority
-
in the... The believer's authority in the...
-
So write this now, this way. Send my authority
-
in the authority of Jesus. Write it. All that
-
we have said, now write it. My authority in the
-
authority of Jesus. My authority in the reputation
-
of Jesus. My authority in the office of Jesus.
-
My authority in the ability of Jesus. My authority
-
in the position of Jesus. My authority in the
-
character of Jesus. And my authority in the function
-
of who? Jesus. So one of the things that we are
-
able to establish that what Jesus told them,
-
that repentance and remission can only be preached
-
in whose name? In the name of Jesus, in his name.
-
Please write this. It's a good point. We're going
-
to build on it. We're going to build on it. Repentance
-
and remission of sins can only be established
-
in the name of Jesus. In fact, that only, please
-
capitalize it, only in the name of Jesus. Only.
-
It can never happen in any other name. We can
-
never see people saved. We can never see this
-
message preached. Only what? In the name. In
-
fact, as it's coming to my head, The only license
-
for repentance and remission of sins to be preached
-
to all nations is what? The name of Jesus. Hallelujah.
-
Glory to Jesus. Glory to Jesus. Why? Because
-
we see, he told them in 46 now, Luke 24, 46.
-
He said, thus it is written that Christ, To suffer
-
and to rise from what? The death, the what? The
-
third day. Why? Because this is the essence of
-
what has been fulfilled. Amen. There was a promise
-
that was spoken and we see that now is what?
-
Is fulfilled. Praise God. So all that Christ
-
has been speaking is upon his resurrection. Hallelujah.
-
Glory to God. So we've read a couple of scriptures.
-
to establish that from Luke, a couple of verses.
-
Can we go to Luke 22, 24? Let's trace back to
-
22 to 24. Luke 24, where we came from. Luke 24,
-
22. Yeah, and certain men, yeah, and certain
-
women also of our company made us astonished,
-
which were early at the sepulcher. And when they
-
found not his word, and when they found not his
-
word, His body, they came saying that they had
-
also seen a vision of what? Which said that he
-
was what? Alive, twenty -four. And certain of
-
them which were with us went to the sepulcher
-
and found it even so as the women had what? So
-
which means it was empty. But him they saw what?
-
They saw not twenty -five. Then he said unto
-
them, All fools and slow of heart to believe,
-
all that the prophets have what? what have they
-
spoken? Ought not Christ to have suffered, right?
-
The same that we read from 46. Amen? Ought not
-
Christ to have what? Suffered for it behoved
-
Christ to suffer, to die and to be raised, right?
-
Yeah, the third day. Ought not Christ to have
-
suffered these things and to enter into his what?
-
Glory. Hallelujah. So which means the resurrection
-
of Christ is an evidence that Christ has entered
-
into his what? Praise God. So now, let me say
-
it this way now. So when we say the believer's
-
authority in the name of Jesus, what we are saying
-
is that the believer's authority in the glory
-
of Jesus. Hallelujah. Glory to God. What we are
-
saying is the believer's authority in the what?
-
In the glory of who? The glory of Jesus. My authority
-
in the glory of Jesus. That's what we are saying.
-
So, We now see in verse 47, Luke will say in
-
his name, among how many nations? Among all nations.
-
So if we are reading in Luke's account, so which
-
means that we expect that Matthew must have said
-
something in his name. Because in Matthew, we
-
also have the resurrection of Jesus, right? So
-
we should expect that Mark should also tell us
-
in his what? Name, because Mark. will have written
-
down about the resurrection of who of jesus we
-
should expect john to also tell us about what
-
his name because john will have also spoken about
-
the what the resurrection of who of jesus and
-
in his name hallelujah praise god say i am in
-
the name say i am in the name say i am in the
-
name i am in the authority of the name of jesus
-
Mark chapter 16 now, everybody. So far so good.
Mark 16 chapter mention
-
Are we all on the same page? Is it clear? So
-
far is it clear? Do we understand the subject
-
for today? In his what? In his name. Hallelujah.
-
Good. And when we say in his name, what do we
-
mean? His authority. His office. His function.
-
His ability. His position. His character, glory
-
to Jesus. Hallelujah. Good. Mark chapter 16 now.
Mark 16 chapter mention
-
Mark chapter 16, verse 15 to 17. Everybody, let's
-
read. And he said unto them, go ye into what?
-
Please, does this look like where we are coming
-
from, from Luke 24? Repentance and remission
-
should be preached in his name to how many nations?
-
Can you see Mark who also writes that, an account?
-
He said, go ye into what? This is also upon his
-
resurrection. Hallelujah. And preach the gospel
-
to how many persons? To everyone. 16. He that
-
believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but
-
he that believeth not shall be what? So, two
-
things now. From Luke, we see repentance and
-
remission of what? Saints will be preached. One.
-
Two. We see that in his name. That will be done.
-
Amen. Three. We now see for how many nations?
-
All nations. Good. So we see in Mark chapter
Mark 16 chapter mention
-
16. Also verse 15. One. We are seeing all nations.
-
All the worlds. Two. We are seeing what? What
-
will be preached to all the world? Gospel. Right?
-
So the next thing we should look out for is what?
-
In his name. Praise God. Good. So let's keep
-
reading down now. He that believeth and is baptized
-
shall be saved. But he that believeth not shall
-
do what? And these signs shall what? Follow them
-
that believe. All together. Can you see? In my
-
name shall they what? In my name shall they speak.
-
In my name they shall. And if they drink any
-
deadly thing. In my name it shall not. In my
-
name they shall and the sick shall walk. So now,
-
from Mark now, in Luke, we see repentance and
-
remission of sins to all nations will be preached.
-
Amen? So we now move and take it further to see
-
certain events that will happen in his name again.
-
We will not only preach the gospel in his name,
-
but we will see signs, wonders, and miracles
-
in his what? Are you all with me? So we now see
-
that he is saying that going to the world, preach
-
the gospel. He that believes is saved. Not only
-
that, but in my name also, he that believes shall
-
speak in what? New tongues. In my name also,
-
he that believes shall do what? Cast out devils.
-
In my name also. He that believes shall take
-
up serpents and he shall not hurt them. In my
-
name also. He that believes shall lay hands on
-
the sick and the sick will do what? Recover.
-
Can you see? So we have taken it further now,
-
seeing and establishing from Luke to see that
-
aside that the gospel will be preached, repentance
-
and remission of sins will be preached in his
-
name, signs, wonders and miracles will also happen
-
in his what? In his name. So, we can put it this
-
way. The believer's authority, the believer's
-
authority in preaching the gospel to all nations,
-
number one now, from where we are coming from
-
now, in Mark. The believer's authority in preaching
-
the gospel to how many nations? To all nations.
-
Two, the believer's authority The believer's
-
authority in the name of Jesus in doing signs,
-
wonders, and miracles. The believer's authority
-
in the name of Jesus in doing signs, wonders,
-
and what? Miracles. This is important, the place
-
where we're going. So please write it down carefully.
-
Are we all here? So we see Mark will tell them
-
to go and what? To preach. Praise God. Glory
-
to Jesus. So what is preach the gospel? You can
-
write it down. Preach the gospel. What is preach?
-
The word preach. The word preach means keruso.
-
K -E -R -U -S -S -O. The word preach means keruso.
-
Keruso. K -E -R -U -S -S -O. The word preach
-
is keruso. And keruso, keruso means to herald.
-
Herald. Keruso means to herald a public career.
-
You know town criers? You know town criers in
-
Nigeria? It's what we call morning cry. You know?
-
Pastor Emma can relate. You know, Pastor Emma
-
told us that was one of his edification. You
-
know, so he now devised a means so that his friends
-
will not see him. So often, people that do morning
-
cry, they will carry this megaphone. You know,
-
while you are changing gears at 5 a .m., that's
-
when them, they are helping your gears to move.
-
And you know, Most of them will not teach about,
-
will not herald the dead burial and resurrection
-
of Jesus. They will herald hellfire. So a mourning
-
cry, what mourning cry is like mourning, I don't
-
know how to put it, like a mourning devotion.
-
For you that don't do devotion, they will do
-
mourning devotion for you. So you will hear it
-
from your room. Right? First, when they come
-
out of the house, they will start singing songs.
-
You know, good morning. They will do good morning
-
Jesus around your streets first. You know, before
-
they will start reading the book or reading whatever
-
manual has been given and you must hear them
-
whether you like it or not. Right? What they
-
are doing is that they are carouseling the message
-
they have. They are public criers. The word carousel
-
is a strong word. They are announcers. They announce
-
a message. They proclaim a message. That's what
-
kerusa is in its word. To proclaim. To publish.
-
Kerusa means to herald, to publish, to proclaim.
-
So it means whenever there is a kerusa, people
-
must see and people must hear. You hear what
-
I say? People must what? See and people must
-
what? Hear. When there is a publishing, people
-
must see and people must what? Hear. Jesus will
-
tell John the Baptist, the disciples of John
-
the Baptist, he said, go and tell him what you
-
have seen and what you have heard. When there
-
is a heralding of a message, people must hear
-
and people must what? Must see. Keruso. And keruso
-
is only done by speaking. Do you hear what I
-
said? Keruso is only established or achieved
-
by what? By speaking. By speaking. So we know
-
what keruso is, right? Then the next thing now
-
Jesus will tell them is to now preach the gospel.
-
So write the gospel. What is the gospel? The
-
word the gospel in Greek word is euagelion. E
-
-U -A E -U -A G -G -E -L -I -O -N Euagelion.
-
E -U -A -G -G -E -L -I -O -N. Let me repeat myself.
-
The word gospel is E -U -A -G -G -E -L -I -O
-
-N. Which implies good message. Hallelujah. Good
-
message. Good news. Glad tidings. That word,
-
you. E -U. You don't say, you're a jailer, right?
-
That word, E -U. In you means good will. Good,
-
well. That word in you, in Greek means what?
-
Good, well. Glad. Then agelion. Agelion means
-
angelos. Angelos means messengers. Hallelujah.
-
So when we combine your agelion, it means what?
-
Messengers with good will, with a message that
-
is good. Praise God. So when we say keruso, we
-
combine keruso and eugelion, it means messengers,
-
angelos, eugelion, right? Angels, messengers
-
that carry what? Good message, right? And they
-
do what? They publish it. They proclaim it. So
-
what Christ will tell his disciples, he said
-
repentance and what? Remission of sins will be
-
preached to what? in all nations. And now, verse
-
47, he said, and ye are witnesses. He said, what
-
Jesus now is saying to them is that, ye are the
-
angels that will carry this everywhere. No wonder
-
in Acts chapter 1, verse 8, he will still tell
-
them the same thing. He said, and ye shall receive
-
power of the Holy Ghost that has come upon you,
-
and ye are my witnesses for this gospel. You
-
preach it to them, Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem,
-
and where? All the nations of the earth. Hallelujah.
-
Say, I am the messenger. I am the messenger of
-
Christ. And I herald his message to all nations.
-
Hallelujah. That's your authority in Christ Jesus.
-
Praise God. So, scriptures about Jerusalem. Let's
-
just add this now as references. Matthew 3, verse
-
1. Cherusso, Cherusso. These are references for
-
Cherusso. References for Cherusso. Now, scriptures
-
as references for Cherusso. Matthew 3, verse
-
1. It says, in those days came John the Baptist.
-
Doing what? Proclaiming in the wilderness of
-
what? Of Judea. Yes. 4, verse 17. Matthew 4,
-
verse 17. Matthew 4, verse 17. Very fast. From
-
that time, Jesus began to do what? To publish
-
and proclaim and to say, repent for the kingdom
-
of heaven is what? Is at hand. Let's add these
-
scriptures now. Matthew 4 .23 Matthew 4 .23 Matthew
-
10 .7 Matthew 10 .7 Acts 8 .5 Acts 8 .5 And then
-
Romans chapter 10, verse 14 to 15. Romans chapter
-
10, verse 14 to 15. All this is talking about
-
what? Proclaiming, heralding, praise God. Then
-
your Agelion, references for your Agelion. References
-
chapter 1, verse 1. Mark 1, verse 1. See what
-
the scripture says. The beginning of what? The
-
beginning of the good news. Of who? Of Jesus
-
Christ. The what? The son of God. Hallelujah.
-
Mark chapter 1 verse 14. Mark chapter 1 verse
-
14 to 15. Now, after John was put in the prison,
-
Jesus came to Galilee preaching the gospel, the
-
good news of what? Of the kingdom of God. At
-
verse 35. Romans 1 verse 1. Romans 1 verse 1.
-
Amen. Romans 1 verse 1. Romans 1 verse 16. Glory
-
to God. Hallelujah. So let's go to Mark 16 verse
-
14 now. Mark 16 verse 14. Mark 16 verse 14. See
-
what the scripture says. Unbelief and hardness
-
of what? Of heart. Do you remember we saw this
-
similar thing in Luke? They had unbelief. He
-
said, touch my arm bone and flesh. Give me food
-
to eat. Right? But see now. How did Jesus upbraid
-
them? Upbraided them with their unbelief and
-
hardness of heart because they believed not them
-
which had seen him after he was what? Reason.
-
Praise God. So, that word, he upbraided them,
-
or he upbraided their unbelief and hardness of
-
heart, it means to correct by pointing out a
-
serious fault. That word, to upbraid, is not
-
a word that is referring Jesus was angry. I told
-
you three days I'm going to be raised from the
-
dead. No, no, no, no, no, no. What Jesus did,
-
that word, to upbraid their unbelief and hardness
-
of heart, is onidizo, O -N -E -I -D -I -Z -O.
-
It means to correct. So what Christ did is that
-
he corrected their minds by pointing out a serious
-
fault. And how did he correct their mind by pointing
-
out the fault of unbelief? What did he do? He
-
brought to their understanding a knowledge that
-
was not there. Praise God. How did Jesus correct
-
their unbelief? How did he upbraid them? He brought
-
to their understanding, right? A knowledge that
-
was not what? That was not there before. Because
-
they believed not them which had seen him after
-
he was what? He was risen. Hallelujah. Are we
-
all there? So now, let's see Matthew 28 verse
-
19. Matthew 28, verse 19. Matthew 28, verse what?
-
19. From verse 18, everybody. And Jesus said,
-
Jesus came and spoke unto them saying, all power
-
is given unto me in heaven and in what? And in
-
the earth. So, we have seen Luke's account, right?
-
We have seen Mark's account, right? We are looking
-
at Matthew's what? I count now. So what we expect
-
to see in Matthew, we should see him talking
-
about all nations. We should see him talking
-
about preaching the gospel. We should see him
-
talking about what? In his name. Hallelujah.
-
Good. So, verse 18. And Jesus came and spoke
-
unto them, saying, All power is given unto me
-
in heaven and in what? And in earth. 19. Go ye
-
therefore and teach all nations. Hallelujah.
-
Baptizing them in the name of what? the Father
-
and of the Son and of the what? Of the Holy Ghost,
-
20 now. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever
-
I have commanded you and lo, I am with you always
-
even unto the end of what? Of the world. Hallelujah.
-
We appreciate you being here today. We hope you
-
carry this word with you throughout your week.
