Welcome to NECF Sermons. Each message here is
-
designed to uplift and strengthen you in your
-
walk with God. Don't miss out. Stay with us until
-
the end for a rewarding experience. Let's dive
-
right in. We continue from where we stopped yesterday.
-
As we are seated, can we just declare healing
-
on that mom? The mom with the obstructive disorder
-
or symptom and the lack of breathing. Can we
-
just declare healing? As we are seated, everybody,
-
can we just declare healing in the name of Jesus?
-
Right now, we declare healing. We declare healing
-
upon that mom in the name of Jesus. We declare
-
healing right now in the name of Jesus. We are
-
receiving report today that she is well. We are
-
receiving report today that she is healed in
-
the name of Jesus. We declare healing. We declare
-
healing right now in your body, mom. We declare
-
healing upon you. That lungs are functioning
-
normal. That trachea is functioning normal. Your
-
breathing is normal and you're talking normal
-
in the name of Jesus. We thank you, Father. We
-
bless you, Lord, for the healings. We thank you,
-
Lord, for the testimonies from the hyena symptom.
-
We thank you for the testimony from the lungs
-
issue. We thank you. We thank you. We thank you.
-
We thank you. And much more. Be thou glorified.
-
Be thou exalted. In Jesus' name we pray. There's
-
somebody, probably you're connected to, if you're
-
online or you're here, or you know somebody that
-
is connected here. Or you're connected to the
-
person. Right? But I see or I hear or I perceive
-
in my heart somebody with the name Stephanie.
-
Right? Probably you know somebody with the name
-
Stephanie. Or you're here or you're online, you're
-
listening. One of the things that Jesus is doing
-
in your life this morning is that he's healing
-
you of traumas. You know, I got into this hall,
-
I still had it clearly. Jesus is healing that
-
person. He's healing Stephanie. Stephanie, whether
-
you're online, you're hearing, or you know somebody
-
connected to that name, right? Reach out to the
-
person. The Holy Ghost is healing the person
-
of trauma. Trauma. In fact, I see childhood trauma.
-
You have held so much to it. But it's time to
-
let it go. Hallelujah. It's time to let it go.
-
Hallelujah. Because the Holy Ghost has stepped
-
in. Glory to Jesus. Hallelujah. Yes, we are going
-
to hear that before the day runs out. Glory to
-
Jesus. Are we all here? Has anyone received a
-
word here? Sorry. Any word, any word, any word?
-
This is Karatismos. That's how we're going to
-
be doing it. okay yes let's hear your word there
-
will be free flow of the supernatural way in
-
this meeting can we rejoice glory hallelujah
-
yes another word again by the spirit by the spirit
-
yes sir To do more. Hallelujah. You have been
-
desirous. You've been feeling that there is more.
-
God is calling you into more, more, more. Hallelujah.
-
Yes, so what God is doing in this season is that
-
he's bringing strength to you to step out. He's
-
bringing strength to you to take action. Hallelujah.
-
Can we rejoice? Glory! Hallelujah. Yes, word
-
again. Before we start. Yes, sir. If not, when
-
we start, everybody will give a word. Hallelujah.
-
I think when we trust the end of the prayer,
-
one thing that... It came to my spirit is, you
-
know, the yearnings and the desires in the hearts
-
of majority of people in this room. And the majority
-
of us also, we are yearning to see the tangible
-
expressions of the gifts and the way by which
-
we will remain committed or we will remain active.
-
The Spirit will find expression through us is
-
when we spend quality time with God. And one
-
thing that I saw clearly is the fact that when
-
we tarry with the Lord as we are charged up,
-
as we tarry with the Lord, we receive directly
-
from the mind of God. And when we receive from
-
the mind of God, we are able to be a blessing
-
to people. We have all the abilities in us. We
-
have all the capacity in us. To be a blessing
-
in the demonstration of the spirit. In diverse
-
ways. In words of knowledge. In words of wisdom.
-
In prophecy. In healing. In even knowing things
-
concerning people. But what God is bringing us
-
into. Is to bring us into our identity. That
-
we will see all that he has worked in us. And
-
the way by which this will be expressed massively.
-
Is by we spending time with him. Even in our
-
secret place. That we will have this. ability
-
to know how he works he will show us his ways
-
and his path and we will be of a blessing to
-
many people so the reason why oftentimes we don't
-
see ourselves express much more of god is that
-
we don't spend time with him so what god is doing
-
in this season he's saying that he's bringing
-
us into a place that we know all that we have
-
all that he has done in us and not only that
-
we know but we know how to operate in it and
-
the simplest way by which we can walk fully in
-
the expression of all that is in us is when we
-
depend on him we're spending time with him in
-
a secret place and we're not just spending time
-
with him just to receive uh just to to present
-
our request we are spending time to just hear
-
him as he leads us that is how we will see effectiveness
-
in our ministry when we spend time with him spending
-
time with God, knowing his ways, even the specific
-
meetings. As we go out, before we go out, we
-
spend time with God. God will show us the things
-
to do. He will show us what to do. He will show
-
us who to do, who to go to, and what specific
-
things we will meet on the path. Our hearts will
-
be illuminated with the insight of the things
-
that we will come across. And we rejoice. Glory.
-
14. Let's just a little bit retrace backwards
-
and then get it from there. I remember I told
-
us to write belly, right? Yes. So John chapter
John 3 chapter mention
-
3. Let's go back to that John chapter 3. You
John 3 chapter mention
-
know, there has been a conversation between Nicodemus
-
and then Jesus, right? About the water and the
-
spirit that has to do with being born again and
-
then entering into the kingdom. Hallelujah. Yes.
-
And then now, we now see what Jesus will tell
-
him in verse 12. He said, if I have told you
-
earthly things and ye believe not, how shall
-
ye believe if I tell you of what? Of heavenly
-
things. Hallelujah. And he said, and no man had
-
ascended up to heaven, but he that came down
-
from heaven, even the Son of Man, who is in what?
-
In heaven. 14 now. He said, and as Moses lifted
-
up serpent in the wilderness, even so must the
-
Son of Man be what? Be lifted up. Glory to Jesus.
-
That whosoever believeth in him shall not perish,
-
but have what? So, when will we believe, right?
-
To have eternal life from the lifting up of Jesus.
-
Amen? He said the Son of Man will be lifted up.
-
Then whosoever believeth in him will not perish,
-
but have what? Eternal life. Then now he now
-
says, for God so loved the world that he gave
-
his only begotten Son, right? That begotten Son
-
now is lifted up. Glory to Jesus. And then now,
-
whosoever believeth in him shall not, what? Perish,
-
but have, what? Everlasting life. Are we all
-
here? Yes. Good. So, and then we now said that
-
being lifted up is not as he just, just we see
-
just Jesus would just be standing and then some
-
form of wind will just elevate him up and then
-
he's in the air and everybody that just look
-
at him and suddenly, literally as what Moses
-
did. Amen. But we see now, Jesus will refer back
-
to Numbers, what happened, right? Regarding what
-
Moses did to the children of Israel, right? When
-
the serpent will now strike them. They look up
-
at the serpent and then they are healed. Amen.
-
So now, why would Jesus say that John chapter
John 12 chapter mention
-
12, now let's look at John chapter 12 verse 32
-
to see what he meant by saying, if the son of
-
man be lifted up as Moses lifted up serpent in
-
the wilderness. See John chapter 12 verse 32.
-
He said, and if, and I, if I be lifted up from
-
the earth, I will draw all men, what? Unto me,
-
33. This he said, signifying what dead he shall
-
what? What dead he shall what? So, what was Jesus
-
saying? If he said, if I be lifted up, he was
-
talking about his what? He's talking about his
-
death. Amen? So, from his death. From his resurrection,
-
whosoever believeth, right, will not perish but
-
have what? Everlasting life. So we understand
-
what it means when Jesus is saying that if I
-
be what? Lift her up. He is signifying his what?
-
His death. Glory to Jesus. Glory to Jesus. Yeah,
-
so where was he caught in from? Right? Numbers
-
chapter 21 verse 9. Everybody, let's go there.
-
Numbers chapter 21 verse 9. Numbers 21 verse
-
9. And Moses made a serpent of brass and put
-
it upon a what? A pole. And it came to pass that
-
if a serpent had beaten any man, when he beheld
-
the serpent of brass, he what? He leave it. Glory
-
to Jesus. Yes, so Jesus was speaking from this
-
typology of events. that happened with the children
-
of israelites he said the same thing that we
-
see that has happened there is the same experience
-
or the same event that is going to happen with
-
me and people will what will leave but you see
-
this kind of living is not the living that the
-
children of israelite had because they lived
-
and died but he said from this similar event
-
that will happen Right? So what he's saying is
-
that Jesus will use this earthly event to communicate
-
about an heavenly, what? Reality that is going
-
to happen. Because now, his point of speaking
-
is about eternal life. Glory to Jesus. Yeah,
-
so that if I be lifted up, signifying my death,
-
burial and resurrection, from there now, people
-
will have not life, but they will have everlasting,
-
what? Everlasting life. Glory to Jesus. Good.
-
So, now, we know what being lifted up is. Are
-
we all here? So, now, from that place now, we
-
now... We connect back again to where we've been
-
reading about water, right? We said that he will
-
use the term water to signify or speak about
-
newness, freshness. Glory to Jesus. John 7, 37
-
to 39. Let's go back to John 7. I hope we remember
-
where we came from. We came from Ezekiel, right?
-
We came from Ezekiel. And then we are talking
-
about the spirit indwelling the believer. Amen.
-
And then the prophecy that Ezekiel gave about
-
what God is going to do to the house of Israel
-
is that he will do what? He first told them that,
-
you know, among the hidden, they profaned his
-
name. But what he's going to do is that he will
-
what? He will remove them from the hidden. He's
-
removing, let me put it this way. He's removing
-
them from unbelief. That's what salvation does.
-
So salvation removes you from what? From unbelief.
-
So he's removing them from unbelief. He will
-
cleanse them. He will wash them. He will give
-
them a new heart and he will put his spirit in
-
them. And then we now see also that what Jesus
-
will say in John chapter 4 about the living water
John 4 chapter mention
-
he is giving. is that I will give you a living
-
water. And he said that living water will be
-
in whosoever that comes to me to drink it. And
-
from within him, right, there will be a springing
-
up of well. And then out of, we see, that well,
-
he said it will spring up what? Into what? Everlasting
-
life. Are we all here? Yeah, so we did that.
-
Yesterday, somebody said, why are we taking this
-
time? We are taking this time because we are
-
building conviction. Conviction upon what? Conviction.
-
You have this reality, let me put it this way,
-
at the tip of your finger. I think either Pastor
-
Victor or Pastor Ima, I think Pastor Victor,
-
he said it's not about quoting, quoting, quoting,
-
quoting, quoting, quoting, quoting, quoting.
-
So after you quote, Then what next? The scriptures
-
must become conviction for the believer, not
-
information for the believer. Do you hear what
-
I just said? The scriptures must become what?
-
Convictions for the believer. Because you see,
-
this letter, what powers this letter is the spirit
-
of God. I think Pastor Victor taught us from
-
John chapter, is it six, right? Yes, John chapter
-
six. Right? We read that place all through to
-
63. The Spirit giveth what? Life. So what gives
-
life that we are discussing? Greater works. Yesterday
-
I started out by saying that greater works are
-
the works of the Holy Ghost in the what? In the
-
believer. Or another way you put it, the continuation
-
of Jesus' work on the earth in and through the
-
believer by the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
-
Yes, so he's powered by the Spirit of God. So
-
7. John chapter 7 verse 37. In the last day,
-
that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and
-
cried saying, if any man thirsts, let him come
-
unto me and what? And drink. We see water again
-
and drinking. He that believeth on me as the
-
scripture hath what? Said. Had the scripture
-
hath said, Out of his belly shall flow what?
-
Rivers of living water. But this spake he of
-
the Spirit, which they that believe on him shall
-
what? Receive. So he was talking about water.
-
But now we see that now in the next communication,
-
he's saying that what? That speaking of water
-
he's talking about, he's speaking about what?
-
The Spirit. glory to jesus for the holy ghost
-
was not yet given because that jesus was not
-
yet yet what glorified we can if it's your bible
-
you can say because jesus was not yet lifted
-
up it's the same thing amen well we just read
-
now in john chapter 12 that he was signifying
John 12 chapter mention
-
his what his death if i be lifted up i will draw
-
all men what unto me so the spirit had not yet
-
been what given because jesus was not yet what
-
lifted up and when we say being lifted up we
-
mean what his dead burial and what a resurrection
-
okay good perfect so now and then we now from
-
that place now that we read we now said um we
-
wrote a word belly right yeah so the word belly
-
is from the word koilia it's not koila that word
-
is from the greek word koilia koilia so it's
-
not the english term that we use koilia k -o
-
-i -l -i -a which implies to mean the womb the
-
womb or the innermost being the womb or the innermost
-
being where something begins or something is
-
born. Glory to Jesus. It refers to or it implies
-
to what? The womb where something begins. Innermost
-
being where something begins or what? Or something
-
is born. It's the same thing that we see where
-
we read in John chapter 3. Let's go there very
John 3 chapter mention
-
fast. In John chapter 3 verse 4, he said, Nicodemus
-
said unto him, How can a man be born when he
-
is old? Can he enter the second time into his
-
mother's coilia and be born? Can he enter into
-
his mother's womb, right? Into his mother's belly
-
and be what? And be born? So from there now,
-
we say out of his belly shall flow. The word
-
flow means Rio. So out of his belly, out of his
-
womb, out of his innermost being, right? Shall
-
flow. So the word flow is Rio. R -H -E -O. R
-
-H -E -O. Rio. Which implies giving up, giving
-
of something. Pouring something out. Giving something
-
out, pouring something out, out of his koilia,
-
right? Shalrio, giving something, pouring something
-
out. So what Jesus was speaking, he was not referring
-
to something literal, just like the river, right?
-
I stay around the river side, right? We have
-
the river Benue move around our axis. He was
-
not talking about literal river. He was not talking
-
about out of his belly, out of Custon's belly
-
shall flow rivers. Come on now. So imagine now
-
you see me as I'm standing here. Water is flowing
-
out of me. So Jesus will have not been speaking
-
something literal. Glory to Jesus. He will not
-
be speaking something literal. So, but hence,
-
what Jesus was communicating about rivers will
-
flow, he's communicating about there is something,
-
there is an abundance. There's an abundance of
-
a reality that will flow out of his what? Out
-
of his belly. So that word rivers, what Jesus
-
was talking about is there will be a gushing.
-
Right? That rivers, they say there will be a
-
what? a gushing so if you check you see talking
-
about there will be a gushing an abundance of
-
rio but you see careful now that place he said
-
out of his belly shall flow rivers not what not
-
river glory to jesus so which means that That
-
gushing, that abundance flow, that pouring out
-
that will be coming out of his belly, right,
-
will be more than what? One place. So when it
-
flows, it will be beyond one place. It will be
-
happening in many places. Is that clear? It will
-
be happening in many places. So a big question
-
will be, whose belly? Whose belly? will the rivers
-
be what be flowing from whose belly out of his
-
belly shall flow out of my belly shall flow rivers
-
rivers of living water so is the scripture saying
-
that it's out of your belly because that scripture
-
says that out of his what belly did he say that
-
you are the one did he put your name there did
-
he say out of the believer out of the believer's
-
belly so whose belly they like changing so many
-
songs they'll be changing changing changing changing
-
changing we have to change it so that it will
-
align With our realities in Christ Jesus. Glory
-
to Jesus. So, verse 38 now says, let's go to
-
38. He that believeth on me, as the scripture
-
has said, out of his belly shall what? Flow rivers
-
of what? Living water. Right? But this spake
-
he of the Spirit, which they that believe on
-
him shall receive, for the Holy Ghost was not
-
yet given. Because that Jesus was not yet what?
-
Glorified. So he was speaking about what? The
-
Spirit. The Spirit will be flowing. Is it from
-
you? Because we are talking about the Spirit,
-
right? So the Spirit will be. So where will the
-
source of the Spirit be from? That's what the
-
scripture is saying. Out of his belly shall flow
-
rivers of living water. And we say he is speaking
-
about the Spirit. So the spirit is going to flow
-
from whose belly? Amen. Glory to Jesus. And he
-
says that because Jesus was not yet what? Glorified.
-
So what that scripture is now saying is that
-
because Jesus is not yet glorified, yet we are
-
not yet seeing the giving of the spirit. Is that
-
clear? Are we all here? Good. So now, what we
-
now see again about out of his belly or the belly,
-
the word womb, right? What Jesus is speaking
-
clearly from this scripture, he's talking about
-
is upon my glorification. Because he said now
-
that, as the scripture says, out of his belly
-
shall flow rivers of living water. This he spoke
-
of he, right? But this spoke he of what? of the
-
spirit. He is not speaking about custom. He is
-
not speaking about color. He is not speaking
-
about sweetness. He is not, you know, he is speaking,
-
he is speaking of what? He, the spirit. That
-
day, that belief on him should what? Receive,
-
for the Holy Ghost was not yet what? Giving.
-
So the Holy Ghost will be giving upon the reality
-
of an event. And that event is that Jesus needs
-
to be glorified. Are you all with me on that
-
verse? He said, because Jesus was not yet glorified,
-
so the Spirit has not been yet what? Given. But
-
when Jesus is glorified, the Spirit will be what?
-
Will be given. And they that believe on Jesus
-
will now receive the Spirit. So what we are saying
-
is that Jesus' glorification guarantees the pouring
-
out of the Spirit. That they that believe on
-
Him will now receive the Spirit. So when he says,
-
out of his belly shall flow, he's talking about
-
the belly that will pour out the rivers of living
-
water will be upon Jesus' glorification. His
-
resurrection. So his death, his burial, and his
-
what? His resurrection. He says, how did we know?
-
Just simply, 738 says, he that believeth on me
-
as the scripture has what? Had said. So that
-
phrase, as the scripture had said, Pastor Victor
-
emphasized this during his session. He said the
-
whole of the scripture has one essence. One message.
-
One. From Genesis to Revelation, one message.
-
One essence. What's the message? Christ Jesus.
-
And we have learned so much in this church to
-
know that when we say, as the scripture, when
-
Jesus said, as the scripture had said, what do
-
you think he's referring to? Huh? Huh? What did
-
he say? Genesis to what? To Malachi. I'll say
-
something, but I'll not say it. You see, often
-
when you see Jesus, when he says something, often
-
you will now see that he said this thing that
-
it may be fulfilled by what prophet Isaiah had
-
said. Often you see the scripture in the gospels,
-
right? He said, this happened that it may be
-
fulfilled, right? Of what prophet Isaiah had
-
said. But now we see that we're not seeing that
-
the prophet Isaiah had said. We're not seeing
-
Ezekiel has said. But we are seeing Jesus saying,
-
as the scripture had what? Had said, out of his
-
belly shall flow what? Rivers of living water.
-
And we say the scripture has one message. Don't
-
ever in this church hold this reality. The whole
-
of the scripture has one essence, one message.
-
Christ Jesus is dead, burial and what? Resurrection.
-
verse 45. John chapter 1 verse 45. Philip found
-
Nathaniel and said unto him, We have found him
-
of whom Moses in the law and the prophets did
-
write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of who? The
-
son of Joseph. And Nathanael said unto him, Can
-
there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip
-
said unto him, Come and what? And see. We have
-
found him. We have found him of whom Moses in
-
the law and the prophets have what? Did write
-
or did speak about. So we say that the whole
-
of the scripture has one essence. Christ Jesus.
-
And we see them saying, we have found him of
-
whom Moses and all the prophets have what? Spoken
-
about. So the question will be, what is it that
-
Moses and all the prophets have spoken about?
-
The scripture? Christ Jesus. Is that clear enough?
-
Is it clear enough? John 5, 39. John 5, 39. John
-
5, 39. Search the scriptures. For in them ye
-
think ye have eternal life, and they are they
-
which testify of what? So the scriptures testify
-
of who? They testify of Jesus. We have found
-
him whom Moses and the Lord speak about. And
-
now we are reading John chapter 5 verse 39. He's
-
saying that for the scriptures testify of who?
-
Testify one essence, one message about Christ
-
Jesus. So what are we saying in essence? We are
-
saying that now, right? That the scriptures testify
-
about what? About Christ. So let me ask us now
-
with what we have done. Go to John chapter 7
John 7 chapter mention
-
everybody. So that we close here. I will not
-
tell us. We are the ones that will say it. So
-
John chapter 7 verse 38. He that believeth on
-
me as the scripture hath said. Out of his belly
-
shall flow rivers of living water. So the scripture
-
is talking about who? Whose belly now? From who
-
will the Spirit be? From where? Christ Jesus.
-
He's not speaking about you. Amen? What we are
-
singing is that we are not saying that out of
-
our belly shall flow. What we are saying is that
-
it's a reality of the things of the Spirit will
-
flow from our inside. We don't have anything
-
against it. But you see, as far as this scripture
-
is concerned, you're not the one he's talking
-
about. He's talking about Christ Jesus. Hallelujah.
-
Because what Christ said, as the scripture had
-
what? Had said. And then the next verse starting,
-
I say, but this speak he. So he's speaking of
-
who? Of Christ Jesus. Because from Christ Jesus,
-
the spirit will be giving amen so the communication
-
here is about christ is about christ jesus and
-
the giving of the spirit and this giving of the
-
spirit will happen upon what glorification are
-
we done here are we done here glory to jesus
-
so we see christ will consistently talk about
-
the giving of the spirit the giving of the spirit
-
the giving of the spirit the giving of the spirit
-
wait let me let me all that we have done so far
-
is it clear Is there any confusion? Is it clear?
-
You're sure? Is it clear? William, is it clear?
-
Is it clear? Okay. So you can explain it. You
-
can explain it. You're sure? You can explain
-
it. Don't do like this. Nancy, you can explain
-
this. Okay. At least if there are two, three
-
people. that can explain it in my class not here
-
all of us can explain it but in my class i mean
-
in class in the university you know pastor victor
-
said there are some students that they will never
-
understand they choose not to understand what
-
you're teaching never so at least if you are
-
marking the exam i just see one 195 you are glad
-
we are done for the semester You can ask my co
-
-laborer, you know, in marking scripts. Sometimes
-
when they see some things, they are just frustrated.
-
Like, serious? What is it? I can't even read
-
it. I always say, two people make your life easy
-
when you're marking scripts. The dull ones and
-
the excellent ones. You know the dull ones, you
-
just go... That's all. What do you do? That's
-
all. You are done. Yes. Excellent ones. You mark
-
it. You are smiling. You are smiling. Everything
-
makes sense. I always threaten them. To whom
-
much is given, much is expected. If you are an
-
excellent student in my class, I will treat you
-
in a hard way. I will ensure I read line by line.
-
Oh, Jam, why are you doing this? Yes, yes, yes.
-
I expect more from you. He says, do you not mean
-
that you should not know us? I say, yes, maybe.
-
Glory to Jesus. Yes, so now, all that we see,
-
the emphasis from Ezekiel to now is about the
-
giving of what? Of the Spirit. And that Spirit
-
will be received by those who believe on what?
-
On Christ Jesus. Amen. So now, John chapter 14,
-
verse 16 to 17. So we see lots of scriptures
-
where Jesus will give credence, right, to the
-
promise of the Holy Ghost. that will be in the
-
believer john chapter 14 verse 16 to 17 see what
-
the scripture says and i will pray the father
-
and he shall give you another comforter that
-
he may abide with you how forever even the spirit
-
of truth whom the world cannot receive because
-
it seared him not neither knoweth him but ye
-
know him for he dwelleth where and where will
-
the spirit be and shall be where in you in you
-
15 26 15, 26. But when the Comforter is come,
-
whom I will send unto you from the Father, even
-
the Spirit of Christ that is in you, which proceeded
-
from the Father, he shall testify of what? Of
-
me. John 16, 7 -15. John 16, 7 -15. Nevertheless,
-
I tell you the truth, it is expedient for you
-
that I go away. For if I go not away, the Comforter
-
will not come unto you. But if I depart, I will
-
send him where? Unto you. And when he is come,
-
he will reprove the world of sin and of righteousness
-
and of judgment, of sin because they believe
-
not on me, of righteousness because I go to my
-
father and ye see me no more, of judgment because
-
of the prince of this world is judged. And I
-
have yet many things to say unto you, but ye
-
cannot bear them. Howbeit when he, the spirit
-
of truth, right, is come, he will guide you into
-
all truth. For he shall not speak of himself,
-
but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak,
-
and he will show you things to come. He shall
-
glorify me, for he shall receive of mine and
-
shall show it unto you. All things that the Father
-
hath had are mine. Therefore said I, that he
-
shall take of mine and shall show it to who?
-
Show it unto you. Hallelujah. John 14, 1, 2.
-
John 14, 1, 2. He that hath seen me hath seen
-
the what? The Father. And how said thou then,
-
show us the Father? Believest not thou that I
-
am in the Father? Right? And the Father in me?
-
The words that I speak unto you, I speak not
-
of myself, but the Father that dwelleth in me,
-
he doeth what? The works. Believe me that I am
-
in the Father, and the Father in me. Or else,
-
believe me for what? For the very works sake.
-
Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth,
-
what? On me, the works that I do, shall he do
-
what? Also. Let's connect something very fast
-
so that we can make this fast. Verse 10. Believest
-
not thou that I am where? In the Father, and
-
the Father where? In me. The works that I speak
-
unto you, I speak not what? But the Father that
-
dwelleth in me, he dwelleth what? The works.
-
Then go to 12 now. The Father in me doeth the
-
what? The works. The words that I speak, the
-
Father speaks. The works that I do, the Father
-
does the works. Right? Now, 12. See, very. Verily,
-
verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on
-
me, the works that I do, shall he what? Do also.
-
So, what's Jesus saying there? Connect verse
-
10 to 12 now. Connect 10 and 12. What's he saying
-
there? I am in the Father, the Father in me,
-
the words that I speak, he speaks through me,
-
the works that I do, he does the work through
-
me. And then verse 12 says, if you believe on
-
me, the works that I do, shall you do also. What's
-
that place saying now? 10 and 12. Yes, my helpers,
-
helpers. Okay, the Father unites with, I mean,
-
in the aspect of works now. The Father will be
-
there. The Father is the one working in what?
-
In the believer. I am in the Father. The Father
-
in me. The words that I speak. The Father speaks.
-
The works that I do. The Father does the work.
-
But now he's not saying that. If you believe
-
in me. What Jesus said now. If you believe in
-
the Father also. So the Father will be in you.
-
You will be in the Father. The works that you
-
have seen, I have done, which the Father doeth
-
the work, so also you will, what? Do the work.
-
So what Jesus is saying in essence there, is
-
that the Father is the one that will be working
-
through you. Glory to Jesus. But he didn't only
-
stop there. He said, and greater works than these,
-
shall he, what? Shall he do, because I go on
-
to what? My father. So the father is in the man
-
that believes doing the work and also greater
-
works. That's why I say greater works are the
-
continuation of Jesus' work in and through the
-
believer by the Holy Ghost. Do you hear what
-
I just said? That greater works are the continuation
-
of what? Jesus' work in and through the believer
-
by The Holy Ghost. Are we getting where we are
-
going? Are we getting it? Glory to Jesus. Because
-
all that we've read, now you now see that, he
-
said, believe also in me, right? Or believe in
-
me, or believes me. Or, yea, believe in God,
-
also believe in me. Believe it on me or believe
-
me. You see, all these words used. Right? For
-
the man that will be in Christ Jesus. John 14,
-
12 now. Again, where we are. It's just the way
-
we are. It's a very, very, I say unto you, he
-
that believeth on me, the works that I do, shall
-
he do also. And greater works than these shall
-
he do. Because I what? I go to the Father. Big
-
question will now be, what work? What work? What
-
work? We're going to run over this now because
-
we've learned a lot extensively on it. Amen?
-
So we're not going to dwell so much on it. John
-
10, 38. John 10, 38. John 10, 38. But if I do,
-
let's read from verse 37. If I do not the works
-
of my father, believe me what? Believe me not.
-
But if I do the works of my father, do ye believe
-
not on me? Believe the works that ye may know
-
and believe that the father is in me and I what?
-
And I in him. So the works that I do testify
-
that the father is in me. And I am where? I am
-
in the Father. I just said something now. The
-
works that the believer does should testify that
-
the Father is in the believer and the believer
-
is in the Father. How? By the Holy Ghost. Glory
-
to Jesus. And that's why we're asking, what works?
-
John 9, verse 1. Because the communication started
-
from there. And Jesus passed by, he saw a man
-
who was blind from his birth. Right? And his
-
disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did
-
sin? This man or his parents, that he was born
-
what? That he was born blind. We have learned
-
here. So often when they see some of this kind
-
of manifestation, they believe that it's a product
-
of sin. Right? In verse 3, Jesus answered, Neither
-
had this man sinned, nor his parents, but that
-
the works of God should be made manifest where?
-
In him. We are coming from somewhere. The works
-
that I do testify that I am in the Father, and
-
the Father is what? Is in me. He said, believe
-
me on these works. And if you believe me, the
-
works that I do, you will also what? You will
-
also do. And greater works than this, you will
-
also do. And then now, in verse 3, Jesus is saying
-
that, neither had this man seen nor his parents,
-
but that the works of God should be made manifest
-
in who? In him. Verse 4 now, everybody, pay attention.
-
He finished speaking about the works of God should
-
be made manifest what? In him. Now see verse
-
4 now. He said, I must work the works of him
-
that what? That send me while it is day, the
-
night cometh when no man can what? Can work.
-
We started out by saying, what work was Jesus
-
referring to? In verse 3, One of the first works
-
that we see that is happening in John 9, 3, we
-
see the work of healing. Hallelujah. We see the
-
work of what? Of healing. You will never see
-
in this scripture, in this whole scripture, right?
-
God making provision about sickness. Never. What
-
do you see? God is making provision for what?
-
For healing. You will never see any promise made
-
by God about sickness. But you will see promises
-
made by God about what? About healing. In fact,
-
let's just cast your mind back to Ezekiel. You
-
disdained me. You profaned my name. You lived
-
in filthiness. You worshipped idols. You left
-
me. But yet, I have turned back again to say,
-
I, I, your God, will remove you. I told you to
-
be saying, I will punish you. I will ensure enemies
-
kill all of you. No. So what works are we seeing
-
in verse 3? We are seeing the works of what?
-
The works of healing. Neither had this man seen
-
nor his parents, but that the works of God should
-
be made manifest where? In him. So we see the
-
works of healing. Being made manifest. John 14,
-
12. Where we just came from. The works of him
-
that send me. John 14, 12. So upon my going unto
-
the Father, all these events will be a reality
-
to the man that believes on me. Hallelujah. The
-
works that I do, you will also do. Because I
-
go unto what? My Father. So the understanding
-
that I've gone to my Father, right? will give
-
you that authority to do the works that I what?
-
That I do. And even greater. Glory to Jesus.
-
I'm trying to see how I can run this because
-
we have already done it here. John 14 2 now.
-
Do I need to do this or let's do the revision?
-
I think it's revision. Yes, because we know this
-
now. John 14 2. In my father's house are many
-
mansions. Yes, house, house, house, house, house,
-
house. His revision. House. Should we close for
-
the day? We need coffee break. Okay. Yes. In
-
my father's house. Yes. What's house? Oikea.
-
Okay. Oikea means what? Huh? Household. Okay.
-
How many mansions? Mansions? Monet. Monet means
-
what? Dwelling place. Okay, so you have helped
-
me cover now a chunk of my work. Amen? So which
-
means that now we just need to establish that
-
from the scripture. 14 .2 now says that in my
-
father's house are many mansions. If it were
-
not so, I would have not told you. I go to prepare
-
a place for what? For you. Amen? I go to prepare
-
a place for you in verse 3. And if I go and prepare
-
a place for you, I will come again and receive
-
you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may
-
be also. This communication, hold it carefully.
-
Because Jesus has already said something. He
-
said, you are in me. Oh, I am in the Father.
-
The Father is in me. The words that I speak,
-
he speak at them. The works that I do, he is
-
the one that is doing the work. Amen. And then
-
now he's not saying, if you believe also on me,
-
these works that I do. Amen? He said, the same
-
work that I've done or I'm doing, you will also,
-
what? Do the works and greater works. So now
-
he's not saying that, right? 3, John 14, 3. He
-
said, and receive you unto myself, that where
-
I am, there ye may be, what? Also, so you see
-
that what Jesus will say. The works that I'm
-
doing, you will also do because you and Jesus
-
are in the same place. Hallelujah. Yeah, so why
-
you will do the works? Because you and Jesus,
-
what? You are in the same place. This is important.
-
Then now, we have already mentioned what oikia
-
is. Oikia means house, right? John 4, 53. John
-
4, 53. John 4, 53. Conviction upon conviction.
-
Jesus said unto them, John 4, 53. So the father
-
knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus
-
said unto him, thy son liveth, and he himself,
-
and he himself believed, and his what? And his
-
what? And his whole house. So do you think it's
-
the whole building that believed? When he says,
-
and his whole house believe. Is he talking about
-
the roof, the windows, the doors, the rats, the
-
chickens, the lizards? When he says his whole
-
house believe, what does he mean? His family.
-
So we see household speaking about people. Amen?
-
Same word, oikia, household. Talking about what?
-
Talking about people. So in that place, the question
-
is not about what? A place, but about what? People.
-
Mark 3, 24. Mark 3, 24. Please, we have been
-
taught so much about context, right? So stay
-
with it. Mark 3, 24. And if a kingdom be divided
-
against itself, the kingdom cannot stand. 25.
-
And if a house be divided against itself, that
-
house cannot stand. Do you think he's talking
-
about a house breaking itself? What's he talking
-
about there? Huh? He's talking about a place
-
of people. He's talking about people. Hallelujah.
-
So because literally a house cannot divide against
-
what? Itself. So we now see a household again.
-
So if his household is divided against itself,
-
it cannot what? It cannot stand. The same word.
-
Mark 6 .4. Mark 6 .4. But Jesus said unto them.
-
A prophet is not without honor. But in his own
-
country. And among his own king. And in his own
-
house. What do you think that scripture will
-
be talking about? Same thing. And among his own
-
household. His own people. So we can now safely
-
say that when we say oikia, speaking about house,
-
we are talking about what? Household, people.
-
Amen? Glory to Jesus. He now says, in my father's
-
house, there are many what? There are many mansions.
-
Don't forget, we are talking about oikia. He's
-
talking about household, people. In my father's
-
family. In my father's people. In my father's
-
family. In my father's what? People. Don't forget,
-
there's a reason for that. Now, there are many
-
what? Mansions. If it were not so, I would have
-
not told you I go to prepare what? A place for
-
you. So, when Jesus says, in my Father's house,
-
let's say for instance now, right? We are speaking
-
with you and then you tell me, in my Father's
-
house, We have a helipad. You know, two of the
-
choppers my father has. One is for me and one
-
always, you know. We have a garage with fleets
-
of cars. However, every of those descriptions
-
are in my father's house. So what does that tell
-
you? When you say in my father's house, it tells
-
you of what? Please, when we do Bible studies
-
like this, don't take your mind and be thinking
-
of something supernatural, something big is happening.
-
You know, please bring your mind here. When we
-
say in my father's house, bring your mind. You
-
belong to the house. Thank you. I dropped all
-
my currencies in my back there. Amen. Yes. It
-
talks about relationship. You see, Jesus will
-
say that the father is in me and I am in him.
-
I'm not saying that in my father. It tells you
-
that I have a relationship with who? With my
-
father. This is a relationship. So it's not just
-
a family, right? That everybody is on his own.
-
Because we just read that if a family is divided
-
against itself, it shall not what? Stand. No,
-
but this type of family, there is a unity. There
-
is a union. There is a relationship. So we said
-
the word mansion. I need to say that. Mansion,
-
we said the word is what? Mone. Mone is M -O
-
-N -E. Right? Mone, M -O -N -E. John 14, 23.
-
Let's see where he says that again. John 14,
-
23. John 14, 23. He says this. He said, Jesus
-
answered and said unto him, If a man love me,
-
he will keep my words, and my Father will love
-
him, and we will come unto him and make our abode
-
with him. That word abode there is the same word
-
mone. Amen? It's not speaking literal mansion
-
that is in our head. A guy going to Iskele and
-
buying a space on the ocean and then sand filling
-
it and then building something that is out of
-
city. No. The Greek word for that money is not
-
talking about that that is in our mind. But rather,
-
that word mone, if you check it in the Septuagint
-
also, you realize it's talking about a staying
-
place, a dwelling place. Amen? And in fact, it's
-
not only a dwelling place, an individual dwelling
-
place. So in my father's family, there is what?
-
There is an individual dwelling place. There's
-
a place where an individual stays. Hallelujah.
-
In my father's family. That's the word mentioned
-
there. The word prepare. The word prepare means
-
hitoi mazo. It actually means to make ready.
-
To make ready. Verse 2 says, I go to prepare
-
a place for you. In my father's household, in
-
my father's family, there are many spots, individual
-
places. If it were not so, I would have what?
-
Told you, I go to prepare what? A place for you.
-
So what Jesus is saying, is that I go to prepare
-
spots, places, that many will come into this
-
family. Glory to Jesus. It will not only be me
-
and the Father. It will not be a relationship
-
between only the Father and myself. But now it
-
will be a relationship, what? Of many. That's
-
why you see, you say, whosoever thirsts, shall
-
come and drink. Whosoever thirsts, shall come
-
and what? Drink. It will be... A place for many,
-
many, many. In fact, the way I was preparing,
-
it came to my mind. He said, in God's family,
-
we have money that can take the 7 point something
-
billion of us on the earth. Glory to Jesus. So
-
you see, why we now say, with me. God wins billions
-
of souls with me. He takes over territories.
-
What we are saying in essence, in our father's
-
family, billions of souls can still join that
-
family. What are we saying? We cannot exhaust
-
that. Hallelujah. So what we are saying in essence,
-
that in my father's family, we will be many.
-
Hallelujah. We will be what? We will be many.
-
Greater works. We will be many. It will not just
-
be a few of us. We will be many. So he says,
-
if I go, that word, if I go to prepare, I say
-
that word prepare is what? H -E -T -O -I -M -A
-
-Z -O. H -E -T -O -I -M -A -Z -O. It means I
-
go to make ready. I go to make ready. That's
-
the word hitomazo. H -E -T -O -I -M -A -Z -O.
-
I go to make necessary preparations. I go to
-
get everything ready. Hallelujah. I make everything
-
ready. I make it fit. For every one of us to
-
dwell in. Then he now says. Where I am. He says
-
where I am. There ye may be what? Also. Where
-
I am. Where I stand. That is where you will what?
-
You will stand. Where are we going to stand?
-
In the father's family. Hallelujah. So you see
-
now. That will validate where we're coming from.
-
When Jesus will say, I am in the Father and the
-
Father is in me. And when you believe, also you
-
become part of what? The family. So the works
-
that I do, the Father does the work. Now the
-
work you will do, right? Also the Father will
-
do what? Will do the work through you. Because
-
you are part of the family. So the works are
-
not left only for Jesus, but the works also will
-
continue in the believer. Hallelujah. They will
-
continue in the believer. So where Jesus is standing,
-
there also I am standing. Glory to Jesus. John
-
14, 11, see. He said, believe me that I am in
-
the Father and the Father in me, or else believe
-
me for the very what? For the very work's sake.
-
And we say, where is Jesus? Jesus is in the Father.
-
The Father is in Jesus. I am in the Father. And
-
the Father is in me also. Glory to Jesus. John
-
14, 18 now. John 14, 18. I will not leave you
-
comfortless. I will come to you. Yet a little
-
while, and the world will see me no more. But
-
ye see me because I live. Ye shall what? Ye shall
-
live. Also. 19. Yet a little while and the world
-
will see me. No more. And ye see me because I
-
live. Ye shall what? Live also. 20. At that day,
-
ye shall know that I am in the Father. Ha! And
-
ye in me. And I where? And I in you. Let's read
-
it again carefully. 20. At that day, ye shall
-
know that I am what? And ye in, and I in, and
-
I in you. 1426. So how is this reality going
-
to happen? But the Comforter, who is the Holy
-
Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,
-
he shall teach you all things and bring all things
-
to your remembrance, whatsoever I have what?
-
I have said to you. 15, 26. We read it again.
-
We are going back to it. But when the comforter
-
is come, whom I will send unto what? Let's connect
-
this now, carefully. Everybody, let's connect
-
it. John 14, 11. Pay attention. John 14, 20.
-
Sorry. 14, 20. At that day, ye shall know that
-
I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in...
-
The father in me. I am in the father. And I am
-
in. In you. Then now I now say. Let's read. John
-
what? 1526. But when the comforter is come. Whom
-
I will. Whom I will. Send to who. Let's talk
-
now. Whom I will send. From the father. Even
-
the spirit of truth. Who proceeded from the father.
-
He shall what? Testify of me. I will send him
-
where? To you. 16, 7. Nevertheless, I tell you
-
the truth. It is expedient for you that I go.
-
For if I go not away, the comforter will not
-
what? Can you see? Consistency. I will send him
-
to you. He will come to you. He will be in you.
-
Amen. So what Jesus is saying, by saying that
-
I will be in you, I will be in you through the
-
comforter. Hallelujah. Are we all on the same
-
place? Are we all on the same place? Good. Because
-
that's 16, 16. Let's check 16, 16. John 16, 16.
-
He said, a little while and ye shall not see
-
me. And again, a little while and when ye shall
-
see me. because i go to what i go to the father
-
so that what a little while means temporal temporal
-
a little while you will see me a little while
-
you will not what see me temporal temporal 22
-
now 16 that's 16 20 sorry john 16 20. Verily,
-
verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and
-
lament, but the world shall rejoice, and ye shall
-
be sorrowful. But your sorrow shall be turned
-
into what? But your sorrow shall be turned into
-
what? Hallelujah. A woman, when she is in travail,
-
had sorrow, because her hour is come. But as
-
soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembered
-
no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born
-
into what? 22. and ye now therefore have what
-
but i will see you and your heart shall and your
-
joy no man what take care it what away from you
-
hallelujah away from you so that what little
-
i said what temporal in greek it means micron
-
or micron m -i -k -r -o -n is from the from the
-
root words micros or micros m -i -k -r -o -s
-
little micron from the root word micros m -i
-
-k -r -o -s same spelling and i told i missed
-
temporal it means short time small time a short
-
distance so what jesus was telling them in a
-
short time you will not see me and in a short
-
time you will what You will see me. So it's the
-
same word that is used in Matthew 26. Write these
-
scriptures. Matthew 26, 39. Matthew 26, 39. Matthew
-
26, 73. Matthew 26, 73. It's the same word. Have
-
you written that down? Then now, John 15, 26,
-
where we read, he said, I will... John 15, 26.
-
He said, I will send the comforter unto you from
-
what? From the Father. Hallelujah. Same place
-
in John 6, 7. He said, I will send the comforter
-
unto you from the Father. So what Jesus meant
-
by saying a little while or in a short time,
-
microns, microns or micron, right? In a short
-
time, in a short distance, I will go, you will
-
not see me. And then you will now what? See me
-
again. What he was talking about, he was talking
-
about that three days you will not see me. In
-
three days and three nights, right? In my death,
-
burial and resurrection, you will not see me.
-
And yet what? you will see me again we're gonna
-
quickly just put put a stop to this and then
-
we we move on write it a little while what he
-
meant by saying in this temporary time he was
-
referring to about what the three days and three
-
nights of the event of the cross the three days
-
and three nights of the events of the cross He
-
said, when I go, you will sorrow because physically
-
you will not be with me. Right? You will sorrow.
-
That sorrow is not talking about spiritual sorrow.
-
No, it means you're going to cry. You're going
-
to miss me. He said, but no, that's not what's
-
going on. In a short time, you're going to also
-
what? See me because I'll come to you. He said,
-
your sorrow will be turned into what? Into joy.
-
John 20, 17. John 20, 17. Everybody. Jesus said
-
unto her, taught me not for I am not yet ascended
-
to my father, but go to my brethren and say unto
-
them, I ascend unto my father and your, I ascend
-
unto my father and your father and to my God
-
and your, and your God. I have not yet ascended.
-
Let's reverse back again. To John chapter 7.
John 7 chapter mention
-
Let's reverse back to John chapter 7. Verse 39.
John 7 chapter mention
-
But this spake he of the Spirit, which day that
-
belief on him shall receive. For the Holy Ghost
-
was not yet given, because that Jesus was not
-
yet what? Glorified. 17 now. Where we now? Sorry,
-
John 7, 39. Because Jesus was not yet what? Glorified.
-
20, 29 now. Is that 2029? 2017. And Jesus said
-
unto her, Touch me not. This communication now
-
is upon his what? Resurrection. He now said,
-
Touch me not, for I am not ascended unto my Father,
-
but go to my brethren and say unto them, I ascend
-
unto my Father, and your, and to my God, and
-
your, and your God. Now we see glorification,
-
right? Yes, we see glorification. So verse 19.
-
Of that same place. Then the same day. At evening.
-
Being the first day of the week. When the doors
-
were shut. Where the disciples were assembled.
-
For fear of the Jews. Came Jesus and stood where?
-
In the midst. And said unto them what? Peace
-
be what? Unto you. The same statement he spoke
-
unto them. Has he been fulfilled? He told them
-
a little while, I will not be with you. And a
-
little while, I will be with you. So he wasn't
-
talking about something far -fetched. What he
-
was saying is that upon the event of the cross,
-
I will not be with you. But now after my resurrection,
-
I will what? I will be with you. Now he met her
-
and told her, tell my brethren, I am coming.
-
But I have not yet ascended to my Father, but
-
I will come to them. Hallelujah. Glory to Jesus.
-
Are we there? So we now see that Jesus' resurrection
-
is an important activity. Amen? Yes, so him being
-
raised from the dead is very vital. It's a very
-
key fact. Pastor Emma taught us that throughout.
-
We looked at different belief systems, right?
-
Jehovah Witness, Mormon, we looked at it. And
-
some of the things that they are holding on to.
-
That will help us in apologia. Hallelujah. Amen.
-
So we now see, he says something that is important.
-
Ascension. He said, I have not ascended to my
-
what? To my father. So what we see, right? We
-
see events, two events. Resurrection and what?
-
And ascension. Resurrection and ascension are
-
not two different realities. They are not two
-
different what? I think we have treated it, sir.
-
We've treated ascension in detail. It's in the
-
cell. Yes. So now, John 14, 2. John 14, 2. John
-
14, 2. In my father's house there are many mansions.
-
If it were not so, I would have not told you.
-
I go to prepare a what? I go to what? Prepare
-
a what? A place for you. 13. 3, sorry. And if
-
I go and prepare a place for you, I will come
-
again and receive you unto myself that where
-
I am, there ye may be what? Also. So what will
-
give the authority, the right to be where I am
-
in the father's family, right? Is that I will
-
go and prepare what? A place. When I go and prepare
-
a place, right? He said, I will come again. Does
-
it look same communication with what he was telling
-
them? That a little while you will not see me
-
and a little while you will what? You will see
-
me because I go to the Father. The same thing.
-
He said, I will go and prepare a place for you
-
and I will come what? Unto you. And not only
-
come again unto you. He said, I will receive
-
you unto what? Glory to Jesus. I will receive
-
you unto myself. Then where I am, there ye also
-
may be. What? There ye may be also. We've learned
-
in our cell right during the teaching of ascension.
-
That often what we think is ascension is that
-
in Acts, right? In Acts chapter 1, after he finished,
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
he went on to the Mount Olives, right? And then
-
from there... In fact, that kind of messed us
-
up more, right? From Sunday school, you know,
-
the books that we often will use, they will show
-
us the picture, you know. some two angels are
-
standing by the left and right i don't know about
-
your book but as i remember my book you know
-
they always they print those things from just
-
for us yes it's from just they always print those
-
things right yes pastor fred is shaking his head
-
so you show us angels two on the right and left
-
and then they'll say this is how jesus went up
-
to heaven yes amen so Now, let's look at Acts
-
chapter 2, verse 32. Yes, we're on point. Acts
-
chapter 2, verse 32. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
-
Let's read from verse 31. He, seeing this before,
-
spake of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, that
-
his soul was not left where? In hell, neither
-
his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus had
-
got raised up. Amen. Can you see? This Jesus
-
has got what? Raised up whereof we are all what?
-
Witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand
-
of God exalted. We've treated right hand, right?
-
Place of authority. And having received of the
-
Father the promise of what? He said, having received
-
from the Father the promise of what? Remember
-
in John where we read, he said, I will send you
-
the comforter that will come from the Father.
-
Amen. And now Peter is teaching here. He said,
-
have you received? Are we all here? Where are
-
we? Which verse? Which verse? That's three. And
-
have you received of the Father the promise of
-
the Holy Ghost? So now, let's go back to out
-
of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
-
Can you see? That the Spirit, he said, these
-
he speak of the Spirit that shall be given to
-
them that what? That shall be leaf. Amen? So
-
now, having received of the Father the promise
-
of the Holy Ghost, he had what? Everybody see
-
now. He had what? He had shed forth the Holy
-
Spirit. Which ye now see and what? And hear.
-
So when was the Holy Spirit shared? When was
-
the Holy Spirit shared? Let's come back now.
-
31. We must get this now because this is where
-
we are stopping now. 31. He seen this before.
-
Speak of the resurrection of what? Christ. So
-
underline the word resurrection of what? Christ.
-
Now he quoted that place also from Psalms. That
-
his soul was not left what? In hell. Neither
-
his flesh did see what? Corruption. We see resurrection,
-
right? Then now, from there now, 32. This Jesus
-
has got what? Raised up. Whereof we are all what?
-
So he was saying something that he also witnessed.
-
He saw. Because Jesus came unto them. He told
-
them a little while I will not be with you. And
-
a little while I what? I will be with you. He's
-
told them that we are witnesses that he was with
-
us. We are witnesses that God raised him from
-
what? From the dead. Then now, 33, everybody.
-
Therefore, being by the right hand of God exalted,
-
place of authority because Jesus has already
-
taught them upon this. Right? He said, and having
-
received of the Father. He said, therefore, being
-
by the right hand of God. exalted, right, is
-
the same event by saying that he has received
-
of the Father the promise of what? The Holy Ghost.
-
Are we all here? What did he do with that which
-
he has received? He shed forth the Holy Ghost,
-
which ye now see and what? They are now seeing
-
and hearing of the Holy Ghost. from the tongues
-
and interpretation of the tongues that just came
-
upon them during the Pentecost. So what Peter
-
is saying there is that what you see, that you
-
guys are saying that they are drunk, right? And
-
all of them are saying gibberish. And they don't
-
know what they are saying. He is saying that
-
what you are now seeing and what you are hearing,
-
is as a result of the Holy Ghost that has been
-
what? That has been shed forth. Glory to Jesus.
-
So what we are saying in essence, the giving
-
of the Holy Ghost, let me connect it because
-
it's the next thing we're going to look at. The
-
giving of the Holy Ghost, in the giving of the
-
Holy Ghost or in the shedding of the Holy Ghost,
-
right? What we will see, we will see new experiences
-
in the believer. One of the new experiences in
-
the believer, we are going to see tongues and
-
interpretation of what? Of tongues. Prior to
-
now, it has never happened. See, I hope you know
-
they've been holding Pentecost upon Pentecost.
-
But they've never had a Pentecost where they
-
now see a group of people, right? Or their own
-
group of people gathered in one place and suddenly
-
speaking, you know, With utterances that every
-
one of them will gather and say, these guys must
-
be mad. They must be drunk. This is the first
-
Pentecost in all their Pentecost that they are
-
seeing such an event happening. And Peter will
-
tell them that this event you now hear and what?
-
And see is an event of the Holy Ghost. So in
-
the believer, right? We will see an event of
-
the Holy Ghost called tongues and what? Interpretation
-
of tongues. Glory to Jesus. Mark 16, 15. So upon
-
Jesus' resurrection and ascension, what we see
-
is that what? The Holy Ghost has been shed. The
-
Holy Ghost has been given. Mark 16, 15. Oh, sorry.
-
Mark 16, 15, okay? And he said unto them, do
-
what? Go ye into the world and what? And preach
-
the what? The gospel to every creature. 16. He
-
that believeth and is what? Shall be saved. But
-
he that believeth not shall be what? Shall be
-
damned. 17, everybody now. You remember in John,
-
you remember he said that the works that I do,
-
if you believe in me, you will also what? you
-
will also do, and greater works than these you
-
will also what? You will also do. So, now 17.
-
And these signs shall follow them that what?
-
That believe. In my name, they shall do these
-
works. Now, let's begin to underline it. One
-
of the works they shall do, they shall what?
-
First work they shall do is that they will preach
-
the gospel. Amen? He said, go here into the world
-
and what? So, the first work we see they will
-
do here. that is the work of jesus is that they
-
will preach the gospel two second what we can
-
see that they will do here is that they will
-
cast out devils did jesus also cast out devil
-
yes so they will cast out devils they shall speak
-
with what with new tongues So in greater works,
-
one of the new things that is happening with
-
the believer upon receiving the Holy Ghost as
-
a consequence of salvation is that the believer
-
will speak with what? With new tongues. 18. They
-
shall take up what? Serpents. And if they drink
-
any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They
-
shall lay hands on the sick and the sick shall
-
what? Shall recover. Peter will say upon his
-
resurrection, this Jesus you now see is seated
-
at the right hand of God. Hallelujah. He is seated
-
at the place of what? Authority. Which is that
-
he has received the promise of what? Take us
-
to Acts chapter 2 verse 33 so that we can see
-
what I'm saying. Because there's something I
-
want to say now. Therefore being by the what?
-
Let's read it together. Therefore being by the
-
right hand of God, what? Exalted, which is also
-
he has received from the Father the promise of
-
what? The Spirit. What did he do with it? He
-
has shed forth what? These which you now what?
-
Let me say this now before I say the next thing.
-
Is that the man that has the indwelling of the
-
Spirit, the actions of the Spirit of God in the
-
believer. are actions that will be seen and heard
-
hallelujah when our brother was leading us in
-
the prayers this morning he said that we are
-
going to have what utterances we are going to
-
have supernatural experiences so we will hear
-
and we will what we will see He said he has shed
-
for this. What Peter was saying there is that
-
these men that you have seen or you have seen,
-
they have received the promise of the Holy Ghost.
-
And what he meant also by saying is that now
-
these people are also at the right hand of God.
-
What? Exalted. Jesus is in the place of authority.
-
They are also in the place of what? Authority.
-
Because Jesus received the promise of the Holy
-
Ghost, right? And he has shed it forth. They
-
have also received that what? That promise. I
-
am in the Father, the Father in me, and I am
-
in you. So how are we in the Father and the Father
-
in us? We are in the Father and the Father in
-
us through what? Through the Holy Ghost. So I
-
can preach. Or I will preach the gospel because
-
the Father is in what? Is in me through the Holy
-
Ghost. I will cast out devils, right? Because
-
the Father is in me through the what? The Holy
-
Ghost. How did I get the Holy Ghost? I got the
-
Holy Ghost, what? At salvation. When I believed.
-
I will lay hands on the sick. You remember what
-
we read in John chapter 3? He said that it's
John 3 chapter mention
-
not his parents that sinned, right? But this
-
has happened that the works of God may be made
-
what? Manifest where? In him. And we say that
-
one of the works that we are seeing of God made
-
manifest is the work of what? Healing. So Jesus
-
will also tell us that in my name, when you lay
-
hands on the sick, the sick will what? Will be
-
healed. But you see, that healing is happening
-
by the ability of what? The Holy Ghost. Sorry.
-
With you now what? See and Praise God. So now,
-
what are we saying in essence? Write this now.
-
Having come across all this from Ezekiel to now,
-
what we are saying in essence is that the believer
-
is one with Jesus. Hallelujah. What we are saying
-
is that the believer is in union with Jesus.
-
What we are saying, the believer is what? Is
-
one with Jesus. Is in union with Jesus. Is in
-
relationship with who? With Jesus. How? Through
-
the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. Because what
-
we see is that Jesus received the promise from
-
the Father and he has shed it forth. He said,
-
go into the world and preach the gospel that
-
whosoever believes is saved and whosoever does
-
not believe is damned. Right? Yes, so that I
-
believe in Jesus. And where all we read in John,
-
you keep hearing, believe on me. Believe on the
-
works. Believe on the one that has sent me. Oh,
-
Philip, why is it that you still ask that you
-
want to see the Father? He that has seen me has
-
seen what? Has seen the Father. Because the works
-
that I do testify of what? Of the Father. So
-
there are works that I see in the believer that
-
will testify of who? The father. One of the works
-
that we will see in the believer that will testify
-
of the father is the preaching of the gospel.
-
Then let me summarize it now by saying miracles,
-
signs and what? And wonders. Then we now see
-
what we are going to talk about. The giftings
-
of what? Of the Holy Ghost. Because when we see
-
all these operations, we know that what? They
-
testify of the Father in the believer. Say, I
-
have the Spirit of God. I have the Spirit of
-
God. And He's indwelling in me. And I do greater
-
works because I believe in Jesus Christ. I'm
-
in union with Jesus. I'm in union with Jesus.
-
I am one with Him. Glory to Jesus. Can we pray
-
in the Holy Ghost, everybody? 2 verse 38 gifts
-
of the spirit and i said something before i said
-
we should write gifts of the spirit i said salvation
-
right the man that has come into christ at salvation
-
right salvation is the believers starting out
-
or is the believers wow the english now how will
-
i put it because it's not in my note i'm just
-
saying it now from my heart is this english correct
-
is the okay is the starting out of a believer's
-
life okay i'm getting english now thank you okay
-
starting point okay glory to jesus okay so salvation
-
is the starting point of a believer's life or
-
journey in christ jesus i'll write that because
-
now that life will be a life aided by the spirit
-
of god you know what i just said Because that
-
life will be a life what? Aided by what? By the
-
Spirit of God. Remember we came from somewhere
-
where Jesus said, the works that I do, the man
-
that believe with me will also what? Will also
-
do the works. So when you are saved, you are
-
not saved to just remain where you are. You are
-
saved to do the works of Christ. So salvation,
-
is the starting point of a believer's life to
-
do the works of Jesus and greater works. And
-
these works are the works that will be performed
-
by the Holy Ghost in the believer. Do we understand
-
the connection? Yes. So, Acts chapter 2, verse
-
38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be
-
baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus
-
Christ, for the remission of what? Can you see?
-
That the preaching of the gospel, what the preaching
-
of the gospel offers to the unbeliever is the
-
gift of what? Of the Holy Ghost. So what we are
-
saying in essence, that when the gospel is preached
-
and a man believes on the gospel and he saves
-
what he receives, right? As a gift. To satisfy
-
and validate that he is saved is what? The Holy
-
Ghost. You see, Peter would have said, then Peter
-
said unto them, Repent and be baptized every
-
one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the
-
remission of your sins. And ye shall receive
-
mansions and money and cars and wives and families.
-
And there will be this abundance elevation that
-
will come to you. Let me say this so that we
-
can laugh. Ye shall receive your keys. And then
-
the Jews will go, yay! If you're online, you're
-
hearing me. What you receive as a gift in salvation
-
is what? The Holy Ghost. Do we not need another
-
thing? You don't need anything. What you receive
-
is the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the one
-
that will produce the works of Jesus in you and
-
greater works in you. So now, what is the word
-
gift? What is the word what? Gift. Say, I have
-
the gift of the Holy Ghost. Say, I have the gift
-
of the Holy Ghost. Say, I have the gift of the
-
Holy Ghost. And because that I have the gift
-
of the Holy Ghost, I do works of Jesus and greater
-
works. So what is the word gifts? The word gifts
-
in Greek, it means Doron. D -O -R -O -N. Doron.
-
D -O -R -O -N. Which means to be offered freely.
-
Don't worry, we're just introducing this. In
-
the next two, three minutes, I will stop here.
-
We'll pray for two minutes and then we have the
-
worship team help us. The word gives is what?
-
Doron. Doron is D -O -R -O -N. Are we being blessed
-
so far? Is there clarity so far? Why we took
-
this time on that? Because of the things that
-
are going to happen in the few sessions we have
-
ahead. Amen? Hallelujah? Yes. Is there anybody
-
that has not been blessed so that we give your
-
transport money back? Okay, everybody is blessed.
-
Okay, we keep our money. Yes. Amen. So the word
-
gives is what? Doron, which implies to be offered
-
freely. To be offered what? Freely. It describes
-
The quality of the gifts rather than the act
-
of the giver. It describes the what? The quality
-
of the gifts rather than the act of what? Of
-
the giver. So you see why God will give good
-
gifts. Hallelujah. And what he will give the
-
believer is his life. Amen. It describes the
-
what? The quality of the gifts. Rather than the
-
act of what? The act of the giver. So, from that
-
same place, just like we had, when you check
-
your dictionary, by now when I say dictionary,
-
I don't mean your Merriam -Webster. Right? Or
-
advanced learners. They are learning but in an
-
advanced way. Okay. when you check that particular
-
context right you realize that the word of in
-
between gifts and the holy ghost the word of
-
right that word is absent there which we have
-
already established here when we see that uh
-
what it means we say it was added by translators
-
for interpretation purposes so we can toss reads
-
acts chapter 2 verse 38 this way give us our
-
place let's read it everybody let's read the
-
place we said the word off it's not there right
-
so let's read the place everybody want to go
-
then peter said unto them let's read it want
-
to go wait wait wait i can only hear pastor chidi
-
and aida can we read it all together Many are
-
tired. Few are hungry. Can we say it again? Damn
-
Peter. Let's say it like we mean it. Baptize
-
every in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission
-
of sins and ye shall receive the gifts the Holy
-
Ghost. Hallelujah. Ye shall receive the gifts
-
the what? The Holy Ghost. The word receive there.
-
The word receive. Oh, thank you, Spirit of God.
-
The word receive is from the Greek word lambano.
-
L -A -M -B -N -O. Lambano. L -A -M -B -A -N -O.
-
Lambano. It implies. To take hold of. To take
-
hold of. It's a very strong word. To take hold
-
of. You know, when you take hold of, you don't
-
let go. Hallelujah. So what he's saying is that
-
what? The what? The Holy Ghost. Nobody ever take
-
hold of something mindlessly. Imagine woman of
-
God. You know, I just come like this and just
-
put my hands. That reminds me woman of God. You
-
know, I like making these instances because our
-
minds can relate to it. You know? And I say,
-
ah, woman of God. You know, I just have one small
-
gift for you and it's outside. You say, really?
-
I say, yes. You are trying to know, what is this
-
person that wants to bring? And then suddenly
-
now, I just brought out a key. And then on the
-
key, you see R. You know it's Range Rover. You
-
know? And then on this thing now, it's autobiography.
-
2026. July. 15. You know, I say, ah, one of God.
-
It's just a small, it's a small gift that I'm
-
giving you. When this kind of gift comes, are
-
you going to just do? Okay, sir. Give me, sir.
-
Is that how you're going to take all of it? I
-
know one of God will first say, sir, wait, wait,
-
wait. Let me call pastor. I love the way the
-
woman of God. She said, I will collect it. I
-
will take all of it. Because I know the quality
-
of the gifts. I may come here and present the
-
gifts to her with just a shirt, polo, and slippers.
-
I may not even brush my teeth. I may just even
-
be unserious. The act of the giver is not what
-
matters. It's the quality of what? Of the gifts.
-
She will take hold of it. The believer ought
-
to know that he has received the Holy Ghost.
-
And that is what we are discussing. Because we
-
need to know the gifts that we have received.
-
There is no works and greater works without the
-
understanding of the gifts you have received.
-
Do you hear what I just said now? Yes, we just
-
have a few seconds. There is no works and greater
-
works for the believer without the understanding
-
of the gifts he has what? He has received. So
-
when we say you should pray in tongues, and there
-
is this fervency that is coming from your inside,
