Welcome to NECF Sermons. Each message here is
-
designed to uplift and strengthen you in your
-
walk with God. Don't miss out. Stay with us until
-
the end for a rewarding experience. Let's dive
-
right in. In the name of Jesus. Glory to Jesus.
-
Can we say I have revelational knowledge? I have
-
revelational knowledge. An understanding of the
-
name of Jesus. Can we say I have revelational
-
knowledge? An understanding of the name of Jesus.
-
Say the name of Jesus works for me always. The
-
name of Jesus works for me always. Because I
-
live and move in the name of Jesus. I operate
-
always in the name of Jesus. Say I know I am
-
a victorious believer. I know. The power that
-
is at work in me, that same power that raises
-
Jesus from the dead, is the same power that is
-
at work in me today. Say, with this power, I
-
preach the gospel. With this power, I cast out
-
devils. With this power, I heal the sick. And
-
with this power, I live victoriously always.
-
Glory to Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You know,
-
sometimes, not sometimes, always, right? When
-
you listen to messages, as we have been taught
-
and trained, one of the things you should look
-
out for is that from the teaching, you should
-
look out for a consistent confession. Do you
-
know what I just said? You should look out for
-
a what? A consistent confession as a result of
-
your understanding of that teaching. Amen? and
-
then stay with it for a while. Glory to Jesus.
-
Look out for a what? A consistent confession
-
from a particular teaching you have been receiving
-
and stay with it for a what? For a while and
-
keep declaring it. That's faith that we are receiving
-
from the message. Amen? So having heard a particular
-
teaching, having heard a particular sermon, Amen?
-
For example, we've received a teaching on the
-
things of the Spirit. Amen? One of the things
-
I always, you know, I've learned from this meeting,
-
the signs, wonders, and miracles are happening
-
regularly in my life and through my life. I will
-
never forget this reality. No matter how discouraged
-
I am, signs, wonders, miracles are happening
-
what? Regularly in my life and through my life.
-
Glory to Jesus. Hallelujah. One of the things
-
I'm learning from this teaching is that the name
-
of Jesus works for me always. The name of Jesus
-
works for me always. This is a consistent confession
-
for me. Glory to Jesus. I am in the name. I am
-
not planning to be in the name. I am not thinking
-
to be in the name. Glory to Jesus. The name works
-
for me what? Always. I've never seen anywhere
-
Peter and the other apostles. Right? When they
-
are encountered with a particular situation,
-
they have to sit down and think it or pray it
-
out or fast it out or reason it out or fear it
-
out. If there's anyone, let me put this sentence,
-
or anxiety it out. Before they know, you know,
-
they think whether the name is going to work
-
or the name is not going to work. No. Hallelujah.
-
So the name of Jesus for the believer ought to
-
be a reality. Hallelujah. A daily reality. A
-
daily what? Reality. A daily reality. A daily
-
consistent reality. Glory to Jesus. So always
-
I have revelational knowledge and understanding
-
of the name of who? Of the name of Jesus. Glory
-
to Jesus. Hallelujah. So now, from all that we've
-
been learning, what we just had on Sunday was
-
just... Very short, short, short, brief introduction.
-
Amen. And one of the things that we learned,
-
we started by saying Jesus. The word Jesus means
-
what? Jesus in Hebrew, in Greek means what? God's
-
salvation, right? Which is the same with Joshua.
-
Amen. Hallelujah. And which is the same in the
-
Old Testament for Yehoshua. Amen. Or Jehoshua,
-
which is the same as Jehovah. Or Yehoah. Amen.
-
Good. So, and we said that word Jehovah, we mean
-
what? The self -existing one or the eternal one.
-
So when we say God's salvation, what we are talking
-
about is the eternal one's salvation. Amen. The
-
self -existing one's what? Salvation. Is that
-
clear so far? Is there any confusion so far?
-
Good. And we also established that before Jesus
-
the Christ, amen, Before the humanity of Jesus,
-
we have had people that bore the name Jesus.
-
And then we looked at Joshua. We looked at Joshua
-
the priest, amen? We looked at Jesus the justice,
-
right? Who is also justice, amen? And we have
-
Joshua also there, amen? Yes, Joshua there is
-
raising hands. Another Joshua, two of them are
-
not here, amen? Yes, so before the humanity of
-
Jesus, there has been the name... Jesus in existence.
-
After the humanity of Jesus, there has been what?
-
A name, the use of the name Jesus in existence.
-
Hallelujah. So, but we said that now, the scripture
-
will not be talking about the humanity of Jesus
-
only. You see, I'm using the word what? Only.
-
Amen. Hallelujah. So, which means that the scripture
-
will not be talking about the biological name
-
of who? Of Jesus. Why? Because we read in Matthew
Matthew 1 chapter mention
-
chapter 1, When the angel came, right, he came
-
and said, his name shall be called Jesus, but
-
he didn't stop there. Amen? He gave the reason
-
why his name shall be called what? Jesus. He
-
said, his name shall be called Jesus, for he
-
shall save his people from what? From, yeah,
-
see, so we now see God's salvation there. Glory
-
to Jesus. Amen? So we also say that now, That
-
that name Jesus now, from the beginning, Onoma.
-
You remember we said Onoma can be literal, can
-
be figurative. Amen? And figurative now talks
-
about the person's authority, person's office,
-
person's function, person's position, person's
-
accomplishment. We remember Onoma, right? Good.
-
So now, from there now, what did we learn again?
-
We now spoke about, okay, good. We stop at Matthew
Matthew 1 chapter mention
-
chapter 1. Now, everybody, let's go. Matthew
Matthew 1 chapter mention
-
chapter 1. Matthew chapter 1. So far, so good.
Matthew 1 chapter mention
-
Everybody, we're on the same page, right? Good.
-
So, Matthew chapter 1 now. Matthew chapter 1,
Matthew 1 chapter mention Matthew 1:21
-
verse 21. And she shall bring forth a son, and
-
thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall
-
save his people from their what? Sins. 22. Now,
-
everybody, see 22. Now, all this was done. What
-
was done? What was done? Tell me now, what was
-
done? From verse 21, what was done? Please, can
-
you stop projecting this? Let everybody look
-
at this Bible. Maybe we'll see what's just of
-
this thing. Good. God bless you. I love you.
-
Yeah, so what was done? Let's look at verse 22.
-
Now, all this was done that it might be fulfilled
-
which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet,
-
saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with a child,
-
and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call
-
his name Immanuel. which being interpreted is
-
God with us. So, 22, now all this was done. What
-
was done? Okay, she will bear a son. So that
-
the birth of Jesus, right? So now, the appearing
-
of the angel and then to speak forth to Mary
-
regarding what the prophet has what? They have
-
spoken. So this now is already in fulfillment.
-
So I remembered on Sunday where we saw the appearing
-
of the angel to Mary and declaring all that the
-
prophet has spoken is the fulfillment of the
-
what? The scriptures. Do we understand? Do we
-
understand? So which means that if Mary didn't
-
get an announcement from the angel, right? And
-
there was no event as relating to the birth of
-
Jesus. Right? It means that what the prophets
-
have spoken has not yet been what? Fulfilled.
-
Are we all here? Good. So, I remember on Sunday,
-
carefully, we stopped there. You know why? Because
-
the angel appearing to Joseph, right, was to
-
fulfill the prophecy by Isaiah. You know, he
-
said that which was done to fulfill the things
-
that prophets have spoken. Right? So, we see
-
Isaiah and other prophets had what? Had spoken.
-
Amen? And this... is about between 700 and 750
-
years before Christ came. Amen? So we see a prophetic
-
saying that has lasted for 750 years. Glory to
-
Jesus. Glory to Jesus. So now from this, we now
-
realize that it's not the time in humanity that
-
will bind or stop no matter how long it takes.
-
As long as the word has been what? Spoken, it
-
will have a fulfillment. I just got a word now
-
in my heart. If you have received an instruction,
-
our brother said something. We have received
-
instructions from the believers meeting. Amen.
-
We have even received instructions from all the
-
subsequent services that we've had. He says,
-
so when is it going to get fulfilled? Is it in
-
the next one week? Is it in the next two weeks?
-
Is it in the next three weeks? Let me announce
-
to you. There are certain words that you have
-
received. You will see their manifestation. In
-
the natural, in the next 10 years. Glory to Jesus.
-
So does it mean that if I have not seen it today,
-
God has lied? No. Habakkuk will say that, Do
-
what? Wait for it. Hallelujah. He said, For it
-
is for what? For an appointed time. It shall
-
speak. Glory to Jesus. We will see the manifestation.
-
So if you're here, you're doubting, oh, I got
-
a word. I got, you know, last three covetous
-
months, I got a word. There are certain words
-
that we got last 14 years. It's now we are receiving
-
the reality of those words in the natural. That
-
does not mean that we have not received them
-
last 14 years. The fact that you are receiving
-
the word now and you rejoice, it means that you
-
have already received the what? The manifestation.
-
The act of rejoicing validates the receiver of
-
that word that it has happened in my life. When?
-
Now. You see, that is what will now sustain your
-
faith, even in the natural, when things are not
-
happening or they are not going the way they
-
should. Hallelujah. That word now that I just
-
gave now is for somebody. Amen. So even when
-
you see things in the natural are not going as
-
the words you have received, still stay. Stay
-
in faith. Stay consistent in your confession
-
and stay patient and stay running with the words.
-
Glory to Jesus. Hallelujah. So that it might
-
be fulfilled. We said that it's the fulfillment
-
of the prophecy concerning what? Christ in the
-
scripture. Isaiah 7, 14. Isaiah 7, 14. Isaiah
-
7, verse 14. Even though this happened in the
-
days of King Ahaz, right? But when Isaiah was
-
giving the words to King Ahaz, amen? He was speaking
-
forth a prophetic saying regarding the event
-
that is ahead, that is coming. Hallelujah. So
-
now, verse 14. Are we there? Let's start reading
-
from verse 1, very fast. Thou and Shia -Jashub,
-
thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper
-
pool in the highway of the fullest fields, and
-
say unto him, Take heed and be quiet, fear not,
-
neither be faint -hearted, for the two tales
-
of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger
-
of Rezin with Syria and of the son of Ramaliah,
-
because Syria, Ephraim and the son of Ramaliah,
-
have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,
-
Let us go up against Judah and vex it, and let
-
us make a breach therein. 8. For the head of
-
Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is
-
Rezin, and within three scores and five years
-
shall Ephraim be broken, and it be not a people.
-
And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head
-
of Samaria is Malachi. If your son will not believe,
-
surely ye shall not be established. Moreover,
-
the Lord spake again unto Ahaz, saying, Ask thee
-
a what? Ask thee a sign of the Lord thy God.
-
Ask it either in the death or in the what? Hide
-
above. But Ahaz said what? I will not ask, neither
-
will I what? Tell the Lord. See now, verse 13.
-
And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David, is
-
it a small thing for you to weary men, but it
-
will ye weary my God also? See what Isaiah will
-
say now. Therefore, the Lord himself shall give
-
you a what? A sign. Amen. And what will happen?
-
Behold, a virgin shall what? Conceive and bear
-
a son and shall call his name what? Emmanuel.
-
Both her and honey shall he eat that he may know
-
to refuse the evil and chose the good for before
-
the child shall know to refuse the evil and choose
-
the good. The land that thou abhorrest shall
-
be forsaken of both her what? kings, the Lord
-
shall bring upon thee and upon thy people and
-
upon thy father's house days that have not come
-
from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah,
-
even the king of Assyria. And keep reading and
-
then you see what prophet Isaiah spoke to king
-
Ahaz. Amen? This happened in the days of what?
-
Ahaz. Glory to God. So, but Matthew now will
-
now write about these prophetic sayings, right?
-
The fulfillment of Jesus' coming through the
-
angel. He will write it and quote what? Isaiah.
-
So that he can be able to now explain the event
-
that is happening in the present day. Regarding
-
the prophetic words. Amen. Hallelujah. So Isaiah
-
spoke this. It happened in their days. Amen.
-
But when Matthew now will now come. Right. To
-
speak about Christ's coming. Right. Definitely
-
he will not write that from his head. Glory to
-
Jesus. But rather he will speak from where? From
-
the scriptures. And it will. And this is done.
-
That it might be what? Fulfilled. Of that which
-
was spoken by what? By the prophets. Glory to
-
Jesus. So now. And we now see the word Emmanuel.
-
Emmanuel means. God with what? God with us. When
-
you check the Greek. The Hebrew word. You will
-
see what? God with us. And that means that. God
-
has become man. To save man. Hallelujah. We say,
-
and his name shall be called Jesus, for he shall
-
save his people from their what? Sins. And we
-
now see, he said that he spoke about what the
-
prophets have spoken. And in what the prophets
-
have spoken, we see another word called what?
-
Emmanuel. Glory to Jesus. And we now realize
-
that the name of Emmanuel is God with us. So
-
when we add God with us, and then... He shall
-
save his people from their sins. We now see what?
-
God becoming man to save men from their sins.
-
Is that clear? Does that look like fulfillment
-
of the prophecy? Glory to Jesus. Good now. So
-
what are we learning from here now? Right? So
-
hence we see the name what? Jesus, which means
-
God's salvation. So when we say God's salvation,
-
so when we are saying Jesus, God's salvation,
-
what we are saying is Emmanuel. God becoming
-
man to save what? To save man. Is that clear?
-
Is it clear, everybody? Is it clear, Dr. Is it
-
clear? You are still absorbing it. Is it clear?
-
Good. Perfect. Good. So now, Luke chapter 1,
Luke 1 chapter mention
-
everybody. So what we are saying in essence now
-
is that what? Jesus is God in man to save man.
-
That's what we are saying. So how are we arriving
-
at this? We are connecting Matthew, what the
-
prophets have spoken. And we are connecting,
-
we are seeing one example from what the prophets
-
have spoken. Amen? So we are seeing Emmanuel,
-
we are seeing Jesus. Amen? 750 years back and
-
then now, the reality of now. Glory to Jesus.
-
So we are understanding that. Amen? So, and we
-
have learned here in biblical interpretation
-
that we don't understand the Old Testament from
-
New Testament. But we understand the New Testament
-
from what? From the Old Testament. Glory to Jesus.
-
I think Pastor Victor talked about that. I think
-
Pastor Emmanuel also mentioned that. Amen? I
-
think Pastor Ferraz also mentioned that with
-
an illustration about movie. I don't know one
-
of them talked about you want to watch a movie,
-
part one and part two. Right? Yeah, so you don't
-
go to Legend of the Seeker, season seven, episode
-
one, two, three, four. I think it's up to episode
-
eight or twelve. I cannot remember. I don't know
-
how you watch it well. And then you now go and
-
then you now watch season seven. You're not a
-
legend. You know? Yes. Legends. They will start
-
from season one. Sit down there and finish it
-
to seven. That's what we did in first year. And
-
the school gave us that, guys, you are fools.
-
You know, finish season one. We locked it. I
-
still remember we locked it. Everywhere was dark.
-
Cinema move. You know? Watch 24 hours. Finish
-
all. When they posted the result on the wall,
-
it finished us. Asika, remember. I landed from
-
home. They said they've posted, I know Faculty
-
of Medicine is the last result that is always
-
posted. They said they've posted the result.
-
Ah, everybody. You see, you don't know the way
-
they posted. Everybody will carry over. They
-
are on one list. Everybody that pass without
-
carry over, they are on one list. Just your prayers.
-
Your prayers is no longer CGPA. Let me be on
-
the pass list. Because you know, one course will
-
give you another one year. It's not yet that
-
you're doing make up, make down. graduation receipts,
-
graduation, all those things. Yes, I coughed.
-
They would cough everything. Cough you, cough
-
you, cough you. No. No 90, you're out. I was
-
praying. I landed there. I went to the faculty.
-
As I just checked the pass lists, I saw U08AN1013.
-
That's my number. You know? And I saw my name.
-
I said, thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. I
-
didn't bother. You know, that's the most important
-
thing in our whole set. Only 15 of us were on
-
the past list. You know why I saw that? Then
-
I now checked CGPA. I saw 2 .89. Then one, prideful
-
anger came. How now? How? How? Yeah, you understand.
-
So you can't watch season 7 and understand season
-
1. So you have to start from what? Season 1 to
-
understand what? Season 7. Hallelujah. Glory
-
to Jesus. So now, we've learned that now in this
-
place. So Luke chapter 1 now, 27 to 33. Everybody,
Luke 1 chapter mention
-
let's go. So we understand how Emmanuel is and
-
then Jesus, right? Good, perfect now. So Luke.
-
27. See what the scripture says. To a virgin
-
espoused to a man, let's say it's 26. And in
-
the six months, the angel Gabriel was sent from
-
God unto a city Galilee named Nazareth to a virgin
-
espoused to a man. whose name was Joseph of the
-
house of David, and the virgin's name was Mary.
-
And the angel came in unto her and said, Hail
-
thou that art highly favored. The Lord is with
-
thee. Blessed art thou among what? Women. And
-
when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying
-
and cast in her mind what manner of salutation
-
this should be. And the angel said unto her,
-
Fear not. Amen. Mary, for thou hast found favor
-
with God. And behold, thou shalt conceive in
-
thy womb and bring forth a son, and they shall
-
call his name what? Jesus, that is, he shall
-
be great. Hallelujah. You see, we are reading
-
from Matthew chapter 1, what the prophets have
Matthew 1 chapter mention
-
spoken in the scriptures, and we see him quoting
-
a sign from Isaiah. Amen. So we now see Luke
-
also will read, he will also quote one of the
-
prophets that have spoken. Amen. We have learned
-
in this church, when we say the scriptures, what
-
do we mean? Good, perfect. So he shall be great
-
and shall be called the son of the highest. And
-
the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of
-
his father, what? David. And he shall reign over
-
the house of Jacob forever. And of his kingdom
-
there shall be no, what? There shall be no end.
-
So, we now see Luke now. He's talking about this
-
event. We're also quoting from what the prophet
-
9. We understand how we are moving from New Testament
-
to Old Testament, right? Good. So, Isaiah chapter
Isaiah 9 chapter mention
-
9. Now, everybody verse 6 to 7. For unto us a
-
child is born, unto us a child is given, and
-
the government shall be upon his shoulder, and
-
his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,
-
the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, Prince
-
of Peace. Of the increase of his government,
-
does it look like what Luke just said now? Of
-
the increase of his government and peace, there
-
shall be no end. Now you see, upon the throne
-
of David and upon his kingdom, to order it and
-
to establish it with judgment and with justice
-
from henceforth even forever, the zeal of the
-
Lord of hosts will do what? Will perform. this
-
and it has been performed already. Glory to Jesus.
-
Hallelujah. Then we now see that same Isaiah
-
16 verse 5 because he was not only quoting from
-
one place that the prophets have spoken. And
-
in mercy shall the throne be established and
-
he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle
-
of David. Does it look like where we're coming
-
from? Amen. Judging and seeking judgment and
-
hasting what? Righteousness. Hallelujah. Psalms
-
132 verse 11. Psalms 132 verse 11. Psalms 132
-
verse 11. The Lord has sworn in truth to David.
-
He will not turn away from it. I will set upon
-
your throne the fruit of your what? Of your body.
-
Jeremiah 23 verse 5. Jeremiah 23 verse 5. Jeremiah
-
23 verse 5. Behold the days are coming, says
-
the Lord, that I will raise to David a branch
-
of righteousness. A king shall reign. and prosper
-
and execute judgment and righteousness, what?
-
In the earth. So we see where Luke is also speaking
-
from what the prophets have what? Have spoken.
-
Glory to Jesus. So what are we saying in essence
-
now? Having looked at that so far, we are saying
-
that the name of Jesus, right? The name of Jesus
-
will not be in the biological mentioning of the
-
name. The name of Jesus will not be in the biological
-
mentioning of his name, but in the accomplishment
-
of a task. It will not be in the biological mentioning
-
of his name, but in the accomplishment of what?
-
Of a task. What task? He will save what? His
-
people from their what? From their sin. Accomplishment
-
of a task, which is to save man from... His sin.
-
Glory to Jesus. Hallelujah. So, Luke 24 now.
-
The name of Jesus will not be what? Just in the
-
biological mentioning of the name, but it's in
-
the what? The accomplishment of a task. Amen.
-
And what is the task? That he will save his what?
-
Yes, from their sin. We've seen that now what
-
the angels have spoken. Amen. And at the same
-
time also we see the fulfillment. from the prophets,
-
what they have spoken. Look 24 now, everybody.
-
Look 24. Look 24. So question is now, accomplishment
-
of a what? Of a task. Big question will ask,
-
what task? Amen? So look 24 now. Look 24 verse
-
25. If you have been here, you know that this
-
is one of our key anchor scriptures. Then he
-
said unto them, Where fools and slow of heart
-
to believe, All that the prophets have what?
-
Spoken. Ought not Christ to have what? Suffered
-
these things. Mind you, I said that the prophets
-
didn't speak about the humanity of Christ only.
-
Amen. You see, I'm using the word only. Amen.
-
They didn't speak about the humanity of Christ
-
only. Right? Because that would not be the point
-
of emphasis. Glory to Jesus. So it's not the
-
humanity of Jesus. That they are speaking about
-
that is the point of emphasis. But rather, the
-
salvation of man. Glory to Jesus. So now, he
-
now said, prophets have spoken, 26. What have
-
they spoken? Ought not Christ to have suffered
-
these things and to enter into his what? Into
-
his glory. So let the prophets were speaking
-
about the center of their message is not that
-
Christ will be given birth to, right? By a virgin.
-
Well, rather the center of their message is that
-
what? Of not Christ to have what? Suffer these
-
things and to enter into his what? Into his glory.
-
So that is the summary of all that the prophets
-
have what? Spoken about Jesus. Glory to Jesus.
-
Amen. Good. So now we see that also, right? When
-
we keep reading verse 27, I'm beginning at Moses
-
and all the prophets. He expounded onto them
-
in how many scriptures? in all the scriptures,
-
the things concerning his what? Himself. So which
-
means, not only about his giving birth, his humanity,
-
but he spoke primarily about his death, burial,
-
and what? Resurrection. His suffering. So Jesus
-
didn't come to make emphasis on his birth. He
-
said, you know, when Mary gave birth, I was just
-
conceived in my mom's womb. I was just moving.
-
I was moving. I remember I had one prophet, you
-
know, probably you have seen the video. Pastor
-
Tiki will know the person I'm talking about.
-
You know? He said when he was in his mother's
-
womb, he was communicating with her. You know
-
the man. Before he was given, I said, way, way
-
before he knew that he was going to come out
-
as a prophet. He knew this was the things he
-
was going to be doing. You know? May the Lord
-
give you understanding. So Jesus is a legend.
-
So Jesus did come to know his soul. I was just
-
waiting. I was ticking. At six months, I was
-
ticking. I was just waiting so that I would just
-
show them. Jesus expounded to them about himself.
-
The center of his exposition is, ought not Christ
-
to have suffered these things and to enter into
-
his what? into his glory. That's the center of
-
his exposition to them. Amen? Good now. what
-
are you saying? 24, 45. Now, then open here their
-
understanding. 45, 24, 45. Then open here their
-
understanding that they might understand the
-
what? The scriptures. And said unto them, thus
-
it is written, and thus he proved Christ to suffer.
-
Can you see? And thus it is written. He would
-
have asked. He would have said, and thus my mother
-
Mary conceived me. And thus the angel came and
-
prophesied. Or thus the angel appeared to get
-
fulfilled the things that the prophet had spoken.
-
No. But the focus of his message is what? Thus
-
it is what? Written. So what Isaiah was speaking
-
about is that thus it is what? Written. Thus
-
it behoove Christ to suffer and to rise from
-
the dead the what? Third day. Hallelujah. What
-
we are seeing Jeremiah is speaking about is that
-
thus it is written. Amen. What Psalmist David
-
was talking about is that, thus it is what? Written,
-
right? And it behoove Christ to suffer and to
-
rise from the dead, the what? The third day.
-
Glory to Jesus. Hallelujah. So now, if you observe
-
carefully, 26 now, verse 26. You see, what Jesus
-
will say is that, ought not Christ. He didn't
-
say, ought not what? Jesus. to have suffered
-
these things and to enter into his word? He said,
-
ought not what? Christ. 46. He still told them,
-
thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ.
-
But all the places that we read, did we see any
-
word Christ there? Ask me now. Let's go, let's
-
go. My time is really moving fast. I don't know
-
why. Right? Did we see Christ? No. But we see
-
Christ. Now talking about that it is written
-
from where? The scriptures. Amen? Glory to Jesus.
-
So the word Christ, now everybody, let's write
-
this now. So you know, at these scriptures now,
-
from where we read that, Luke chapter 24, verse
-
45, at Isaiah 53. Ah, we need to look at it.
-
We need to look at it. He said, because I just,
-
I mentioned that, so we need to look at it. Isaiah
-
53. You know, Jesus said, it behooves Christ
-
to have suffered what? These things. And he said,
-
the prophets spoke about it. So now, 53. What
-
believer I report, and to whom is the arm of
-
the Lord revealed? For he shall grow up before
-
him as a tender plant and as root out of dry
-
ground. He had no form, no comeliness. And when
-
we shall see him, there is no beauty that we
-
should desire him. He is despised and rejected
-
of men, a man of sorrow. Can you see? A man of
-
sorrow and acquainted with grief. And we heed
-
it as it were our faces from him. He was despised
-
and he was esteemed. And we esteem him not. Surely
-
he had borne our griefs, suffering, and carried
-
our sorrows. Yet we did esteem him, stricken,
-
smitten of God and what? But was it God smitten
-
him? But he was wounded for our transgressions,
-
who was grieved for our euclidies. The cessation
-
of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes
-
we are healed. And you keep reading until the
-
end of that chapter. So add another reference
-
there, 50 verse 6. Isaiah 53, 1 to end. Isaiah
-
50 verse 6, Psalms 22. Psalms 22. You won't see
-
Christ there, but Christ is there. Glory to Jesus.
-
So what is the word Christ? The word Christ,
-
when you check the Greek word, is Christos. The
-
word Christ is what? Christos. The word Christ
-
is what? Christos. And what does Christos mean?
-
Christos means the chosen one. The anointed one.
-
The word Christ means what? Christos. The chosen
-
one. The what? The anointed one. See Matthew
-
chapter 1 verse 16. Matthew chapter 1 verse 16
-
says, And Jacob begat Joseph, the husband of
-
Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called what?
-
Christ, Christos, the chosen one, the anointed
-
one. Glory to Jesus. Are we there? Christos is
-
C -H -R -I -S -T -O -S, Christos. And every time
-
the word Christos is used, or the anointed one
-
is used, is used in relation to a task. I think
-
we've learned here in this church, anointing,
-
anointed, anoint. Amen? Yes, we've learned it.
-
So when we say anointed, we mean what? You are
-
separated. You are chosen. You are called out
-
for a task, for a function. Amen? So Christos,
-
which means the chosen one, the anointed one,
-
in Greek now, right? Yes. So we see it now, we
-
have that now. And when we say Jesus Christ,
-
every time we shout Jesus Christ, what we are
-
saying is what? Jesus, the chosen one. Jesus,
-
the anointed one. To do what? To do a task. And
-
we are now looking at Jesus talking about the
-
task in Luke 24 of not Christos, right? To have
-
suffered these things and to enter into his glory.
-
that it behooves Christ to suffer, to die, be
-
buried, and to be what? Raised the third day.
-
So when we say Jesus Christ or Jesus Christos,
-
right? What we are saying is that what? Jesus,
-
the anointed one, who has suffered these things
-
and have entered into his glory. Is it clear
-
what I just did now? Is it clear? Or we are saying
-
Jesus Christos, Jesus Christ, the one. When the
-
scriptures have spoken about that he will suffer,
-
right? He will die, be buried and be what? Resurrected
-
on the what? On the third day. Do we understand
-
the task? Do we understand? Jesus' assignment
-
on the earth was specific. Glory to Jesus. And
-
his assignment, the specification of his assignment
-
is that he will save men from their what? From
-
their sin. So every time you shout Jesus Christ,
-
what you are saying is that what? Jesus, the
-
anointed one, who has what? Who has been raised
-
from the dead. Glory to Jesus. Hallelujah. Good
-
now. So now, how are we coming here? In Hebrew,
-
you know we just read, we read Isaiah, right?
-
Isaiah 53, Isaiah 56, and then Psalm 22. And
-
we didn't see Christos there. Amen? So now, let's
-
connect it everybody. So in Hebrew, in Hebrew,
-
that word Christos is the same with Messiah.
-
Messiah. M -A -S -I -A -H. That word Christos
-
in Hebrew is the same with the word Messiah.
-
M -A -S -I -A -H. Which you can also call it
-
as what? Messiah. Amen? Messiah. Same word. Glory
-
to Jesus. Are we there? So now, Psalms 2 verse
-
2, everybody. Psalms 2 verse 2. Psalms 2 verse
-
2. The kings of the earth set themselves and
-
the rulers take counsel together against the
-
Lord and against his what? And against his anointed
-
Messiah. Same word. When we read, we connect
-
it to Acts chapter 4. Hold this. Please, if it's
Acts 4 chapter mention
-
your Bible, put your hand in that place and connect
-
it to Acts chapter 4, verse 25 to 28. Acts chapter
-
4, verse 25 to 28. Acts chapter 4, verse 25.
-
Both Herod and the Pontius Pilate with the Gentiles
-
and the people of Israel were gathered what?
-
Together. Can we see? Can we see the connection?
-
Good. Perfect. Now, so let's look at 2 Samuel
-
7. 2 Samuel 7 verse 12 to 16. 2 Samuel 7. 2 Samuel
-
7 verse 12. Am I correct? Yes. And when thy days
-
be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers.
-
I will set up thy seat after thee, which shall
-
proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish
-
his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name,
-
and I will establish the throne of his kingdom,
-
what? Forever. Are we all there together? Are
-
we reading it? Good. Now, let's keep reading.
-
I will be his father, and he shall be my son.
-
If he come in, he will be there. I will trust
-
in him with the word of men, and with the strength
-
of children of men. But my mercy shall not depart
-
away from him as I to you from Saul. whom I put
-
away before thee, and thy house and thy kingdom
-
shall be established forever before thee. Thy
-
throne shall be established, how many? Forever.
-
Then let's look at Luke chapter, okay, we have
-
read it. Luke chapter 1, verse 32 to 33. He said,
-
thy kingdom shall be established, what? Forever.
-
Luke chapter 1, verse 32. You see? And he will
-
reign over the house of, he will be great, I
-
shall be called the son of the highest, and the
-
Lord shall give him the throne of his father,
-
what? David, same. Now we are reading from 2
-
Samuel 33. And he will reign for the house of
-
Jacob. How many? Forever. Forever. He will reign
-
forever. And of his kingdom there will be what?
-
There will be no end. Anointed one. Amen? So
-
now, write this please. Add this everybody. Add
-
this. Psalms 45 verse 6 to 7. Psalms 45 verse
-
6 to 7. Psalms 45 verse 6 to 7. And then put,
-
let me put it the way I wrote it in my notes.
-
connected with Hebrews chapter 1, verse 8 to
-
9. Psalms 45, verse 6 to 7, connected with Hebrews
-
chapter 1, verse 8 to 9. So when I read Hebrews
-
chapter 1, verse 8 to 9, what I will see is that
-
I will see what? I will see Psalms what? 45,
-
6, verse 7 to 8. And then Psalm 16, verse 10.
-
Psalm 16, verse 10. Psalm 16, verse 10, connected
-
with Acts chapter 2, verse 25 to 32. Psalm 16,
-
verse 10. Acts chapter 2, verse 25 to what? 32.
-
So why are we giving all these extra references?
-
Don't forget, what are we considering in all
-
this? We're looking at Christos. And we say in
-
the Old Testament, right? It's the same, the
-
anointed one. Let me, right? The anointed one,
-
Messiah. Who is what? Messiah. Amen? Okay, probably
-
somebody is waiting to see where they wrote Messiah.
-
Help us open to Psalms 45, verse 6 to 7. Psalms
-
45, verse 6 to 7. 7. Okay, this is talking about
-
the anointed one. Help us check Psalms 16, verse
-
10. Psalms 16, verse 10. Okay, see, talking about
-
the holy one, the anointed one. Amen? Okay, good.
-
So, it's okay. He said now, say, and the Jews.
-
So, let's know this now. When we say Messiah,
-
the chosen one, the Jews don't know Jesus, right,
-
as Jesus. Amen. The Jews, you and I know Jesus
-
as who? Jesus, the chosen one, right? Whom the
-
scriptures have spoken about. And he has suffered,
-
died, raised on the third day, right? Glory to
-
Jesus. The Jews know that someone has been prophesied
-
in the scriptures, but they don't know him as
-
what? Jesus that you know as Jesus the Christ.
-
They know that somebody that is chosen, a prophet,
-
right, has been prophesied to our forefathers,
-
right? And we are waiting for him because who
-
is the one that will bring deliverance to us?
-
Amen? So they are waiting for Christ. No, let
-
me not use the word Christ. They are waiting
-
for a Messiah because they use it as a Messiah.
-
They are waiting for a Messiah, right, that will
-
come and do what? And bring deliverance to them.
-
So they know the scriptures about Christ. Glory
-
to Jesus. Glory to Jesus. So, why did I say that
-
now? I'm saying that because it's important.
-
Because the idea of Jesus the Christ is the idea
-
of the chosen one. The anointed one. The Messiah.
-
The prophet. Because that is what has been written
-
in the scriptures. When we go to the Old Testament,
-
you will see Jesus the Christ. You will see Christos
-
there. Where we keep seeing is the Messiah. We
-
keep seeing Isaiah will just speak and just speak
-
plainly about him. You see, when they read Isaiah,
-
they are reading what has been received from
-
the old. Glory to Jesus. Hallelujah. Good. So,
-
John chapter 1 verse 41. Now, let's quickly look
-
at that. John chapter 1 verse 41. So that we
-
can put a balance to it. John chapter 1 verse
John 1 chapter mention
-
what? Verse 41. See the conversation there everybody.
-
Then he found his own brother Simon. Amen. And
-
said unto him, we have found the who? We have
-
found the who? This word, he is using this word
-
from the Old Testament. Amen. We have found the
-
Messiah who is being interpreted to be the what?
-
The Christ, the chosen one, the anointed one.
-
And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld
-
him, he said, Thou art Simon, the son of Jonah.
-
Thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation
-
a what? A stone. John 4 .25. John 4 .25. The
-
woman said unto him, I know that the Messiah
-
wrought comets. This knowledge is from where?
-
The scriptures. So the Jews know about the Messiah
-
coming. From where? From the scriptures. So they
-
are not ignorant of the scriptures. Amen? He
-
said, who is called Christ? The same from where
-
we read now. Right? Chosen one. When he is come,
-
he will do what? He will tell us what? All things.
-
So they know that the Messiah is coming. And
-
when he comes, he is going to do something. Glory
-
to Jesus. So when he comes, there is a task he's
-
going to what? He's going to accomplish. Glory
-
to Jesus. Good. So are we there? So now, so far
-
so good. We now know when we say Christos, Jesus
-
the Christ, what we mean is that what it represents
-
is function, is assignment. Glory to Jesus. His
-
function is what? His assignment. Hallelujah.
-
So now, John chapter 1, verse 19 to 31. Let's
-
quickly now see also an additional evidence from
-
there. John chapter 1 verse 19. See everybody
-
now. Everybody, let's do it. And this is the
-
record of John. When the Jews, you remember I
-
said the Jews know about these prophetic saints,
-
right? When the Jews sent priests and Levites
-
from Jerusalem to ask him, who are thou? And
-
he confessed and denied not. But confess. What
-
did he say? I am not the what? The Christ. You
-
see, they are not coming with an ignorant information.
-
They are coming with an information from the
-
scriptures. He said, and they ask him, what then?
-
Adow Elijah. They already know about Elijah.
-
Amen. Adow Elijah. And he said, I am not. Because
-
they know that somebody ought to come. Right?
-
That he will be in the spirit of Elijah. This
-
question is a scriptural question they were asking.
-
Amen? Are thou Elijah? And he said, I am not.
-
Are thou that prophet? And he answered what?
-
No. Amen? Then they said unto him, Who art thou?
-
That we may give an answer to them that send
-
us. What sayest thou of thyself? He said, I am
-
the voice of the one crying in the wilderness.
-
So they expect that also when that Christ comes,
-
one of the things he'll be doing is that what?
-
He'll be, yeah, good. So you're with me. Nor
-
Elijah, neither that what? Prophets. 26, everybody.
-
John answered them saying, I baptize with water,
-
but there standeth one among you whom ye know
-
not. He, it is him, who coming after me is preferred
-
before me, whose shoes latched I am not worthy
-
to unloose. These things were done in Batebarad,
-
beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing. The
-
next day John said, Jesus coming unto him, said,
-
Behold the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin
-
of the world. This is he whom I said, after me
-
cometh a man who is preferred before me. for
-
he was before me. Hallelujah. So these speaking
-
are not speaking only of the scriptures, but
-
they are also speaking of revelation now. John
-
the Baptist is not only speaking about what?
-
The scriptures. He is also speaking from what?
-
Revelation. 31. I knew him not, but that he should
-
be made manifest to Israel, therefore I am come
-
baptizing with what? With water. And John bear
-
record saying, I saw the spirit descending from
-
heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. And
-
I knew him not. See now, everybody, that's why
-
I told you from Revelation. But he that sent
-
me to baptize him with water, the same said unto
-
me, upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit, what?
-
Descending and remaining on him, the same is
-
he who baptize with what? With the Holy Ghost.
-
The priests are looking for a Christ that baptize
-
with water. John is talking about this Christ
-
baptize with what? With the Holy Ghost. So he
-
wasn't speaking from scriptures only, right?
-
Because you saw his deliberation. Are you Elijah?
-
He said no. So he has an understanding of who
-
Elijah was. Are you the prophet? That prophet?
-
He said, I am not what? That prophet. But there
-
is one. He stands among you and you know him
-
not. But the one that has sent me said, when
-
you see the spirit descend upon him, you will
-
know him. Because he is the one that baptized
-
with what? With the Holy Ghost. So, upon... the
-
tax Jesus will fulfill on the earth, there will
-
be a releasing of what? Of the Holy Ghost. So
-
what we are saying is that, thank you, Holy Spirit.
-
What we are saying is that the giving of the
-
Holy Ghost is also the benefit, right, of the
-
name of Jesus. So right is somewhere. Right is
-
somewhere. Right is somewhere. Whoops. Are we
-
all here, everybody? So where did that place?
-
They asked him, are you that prophet? Amen? Are
-
we all here? They asked him, are you that prophet?
-
Right? So, Deuteronomy chapter 18, verse 18 to
-
19. I think we have had that discussion in this
-
church, I think in the cell meeting. Deuteronomy
Deuteronomy 18 chapter mention
-
chapter 18. Deuteronomy chapter 18, verse 18
-
to 19. I will raise them up a what? Prophet from
-
among their brethren, like unto thee, and will
-
put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak
-
unto them. all that I shall command him, and
-
it shall come to pass that whosoever will not
-
hearken unto my words, which he shall speak in
-
my name, I will require it, what? This is the
-
prophet they are waiting for. The prophet that
-
will be raised from where? From among them. So,
-
how are we corroborating this? Acts chapter 3
-
verse 22. You can put your hands in that Deuteronomy
-
and open to Acts chapter what? Acts chapter 3
-
verse 22. So far, so good. Is there clarity?
-
Good. Acts chapter 3, everybody. Verse 22. See,
Acts 3 chapter mention
-
for Moses truly said to the fathers, the Lord
-
your God will raise up for you a prophet like
-
me from your brethren. Him shall you what? Hear
-
in how many things? In all things, whatever he
-
says to you. Continue, continue. And it shall
-
be that every soul who will not hear the prophet
-
shall be utterly destroyed from among them. Same
-
astronomy, right? Good. Next verse. Yes, and
-
all the prophets from Samuel and to those who
-
follow as many as have spoken have also foretold
-
which day is the days of Jesus. Amen? So which
-
means this saying was about who? Christ. Next
-
verse. You are the sons of the prophets and of
-
the covenant which God made with our fathers,
-
saying to Abraham, And in your seed all the families
-
of the earth shall be what? Shall be blessed.
-
To you first, God, having raised up his what?
-
Servant Jesus. So where is the prophet from Deuteronomy
-
that Moses spoke about? Good. So now, send him
-
to bless you in turning away every one of you
-
from their what? From their iniquities. He shall
-
save his people from their sins. He came to turn
-
away every one of them from their what? From
-
their iniquities. The same assignment. Glory
-
7, verse 37. See, same. This is that Moses who
-
said to the children of Israel, the Lord your
-
God will raise up for you a prophet like me from
-
your brethren, him you shall what? Here, just
-
give us that 8 and we'll stop there. This is
-
he who was in the congregation in the wilderness
-
with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai.
-
Can you see? And with our fathers, the one who
-
received the living oracles, what? And I've given
-
it. to us. Glory to Jesus. So we understand where
-
we're coming from, right? Is that clear so far?
-
Yeah, so the same thing now, we now see Luke
-
chapter 4 verse 17. You can add that as an extra
-
scriptures now. Luke chapter 4 verse 17. And
-
probably we might just stop here. Luke chapter
-
4 verse 17. Ah, this thing is going very slow.
-
Slow and steady. Are we on the same page, everybody?
-
You'd so. You know, Let me use one word that
-
one of the people I follow say. I don't want
-
to be taken up like a tornado, you know, and
-
just be moving at 240 kilometers per hour. You
-
know, and then we leave this place more convinced
-
than we came. May the Lord give us understanding.
-
Luke 4, 17. And there was delivered unto him
-
the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had
-
opened the book, he found a place where it was
-
written. Can you see? He found a place where
-
it was what? The spirit of the Lord is upon me
-
because he had anointed me to what? To preach
-
the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal
-
the brokenhearted, to preach the deliverance
-
to the captive and the recovering of sight to
-
the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
-
Pastor Ferrer taught us explicitly on this now.
-
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord and
-
he closed the book and he gave it to, again to
-
the minister and sat down. And the eyes of all
-
of them, That we are in the synagogue. We are
-
fasting on him. And he began and said unto them.
-
This day. This scripture. Is fulfilled in your
-
what? In your ears. And all bear him witness.
-
And wonder at the gracious words. Which proceeded
-
out of his mouth. And they said. It's not this
-
Joseph's son. And he said. Surely. Say unto me
-
this proverb. Physician, heal thyself. Whosoever
-
we have heard done, whatever you have heard done
-
in Capernaum, do also here in this country. However,
-
after all these things, this thing put Jesus
-
in trouble. Amen? Hallelujah. Good. So, I say,
-
I tell you, many widows were in Israel this day,
-
Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three days
-
and six months, when gravedown was throughout
-
all the land, but unto none of them was Elijah
-
sent unto what? Serapta, a city of Sidon, unto
-
a woman. That was a what? Widow. And many lepers
-
were in the usual time. And all day in the synagogue
-
when they had these things, they were filled
-
with what? With wrath. Like, come on, Joseph's
-
son. How can you say this scripture is fulfilled
-
and you are the one? This scripture is fulfilled
-
on you. You know, you see, Jesus didn't read
-
that scripture as though he was reading Isaiah.
-
He read it as this is the reality. Do you know
-
what it means? Maybe. If you read it like he
-
said, and the scripture is fulfilling your ears,
-
it will look as though he was just saying a very
-
light word. Do you know what they are understanding
-
from that statement, the scripture is fulfilling
-
your ears? What he said that, the fulfillment
-
of that scripture from Isaiah. And that is why
-
they were filled with what? With rot. And they
-
want to accord him with his biological origin.
-
Is he not Joseph's son? So why would Joseph's
-
son say that the spirit of the Lord, is upon
-
him. And he has anointed him to preach Christos.
-
He has anointed him to preach who he sees. Do
-
you understand where Jesus is coming from? You
-
understand? So that is why you see they are filled
-
with Joseph's son. Come on, you must kill him.
-
Yes, blasphemy. They sent him out of the synagogue.
-
Jesus too was smart sometimes, you know. See,
-
he would just go in between them and even though
-
his ministry would be cut short. You know, one
-
of my friends told me they went out to do evangelism
-
in Turkey, you know, and then some group of Muslims
-
just blocked them, you know, and told them that
-
they should deny Christ. They were trying to
-
argue first. They slapped him. He said he denied
-
it. Life story. They know him. He denied though.
-
At least so that they will allow him to go. Most
-
souls are waiting. Oh my God. Hallelujah. So,
-
let's stop here now. Please write this and then
-
we'll stop here. So, so far so good. We say Christos,
-
right? So far so good. Yes, we are having a good
-
anchor on all that we are doing. Amen. So, what
-
we are saying now is that Christ, Christ is the
-
promised one spoken of in the scripture. You
-
know, we just read Luke chapter 4, right? And
Luke 4 chapter mention
-
he established that I am the one, the anointed
-
one, right? So, what we are saying now is Christ
-
is the promised one spoken of in the scripture.
-
And when we say spoken of in the scripture, we
-
mean prophesied by, by the prophets in the what?
-
In the scriptures. What we are saying is that
-
Jesus is the one spoken of in the scripture who
-
was to come. Hallelujah. Glory to Jesus. So we
-
now see we cannot just be referring to his biological
-
name. Amen. This man wanted to accord Jesus from
-
his biological origin. So yet they didn't know
-
what he was speaking about. Amen. Hallelujah.
-
So, Luke 24, 44. Luke 24, 44. We are still talking
-
about the name of who? The name of Jesus. So
-
far so good. Is there clarity? 44. And he said
-
unto them, These are the words which I speak
-
unto you while I was yet with you, that all these
-
things must be what? Fulfilled. Which were written
-
in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and
-
in the Psalms, concerning who? Concerning me.
-
So which were the things? What are the things
-
that were fulfilled? The things that were fulfilled
-
in 46, right? Christ has suffered. Christ has
-
died. Christ was buried. And then Christ is resurrected
-
from the dead. The what? The third day. All these
-
things ought to be what? Fulfilled. And these
-
are the things that have been fulfilled concerning
-
who? You remember I said that Christ is teaching
-
them all these things from resurrection. Glory
-
to Jesus. It's after he has been raised from
-
the dead that all these expositions. are coming
-
to them hallelujah good now so why are we reading
-
this place now because i want us to write a big
-
topic now the resurrection of jesus but you see
-
this is where now we are getting much more into
-
the depth of the name of jesus the resurrection
-
of who the resurrection of jesus and don't forget
-
if he says or not these things and he said the
-
scripture i've spoken about it which means that
-
the scripture i've spoken about his resurrection
-
right So we're going to see resurrection from
-
where? From the Old Testament. Amen. So now that
-
will make more sense to us when we now connect
-
to his resurrection, the fulfillment of the resurrection
-
in the New Testament. Because out of that resurrection,
-
we now see the manifestation of the power in
-
the name. Hallelujah. Then from there, we now
-
get more understanding. Amen. Yeah. So when we
-
come by God's grace. We are going to start carefully
-
from Exodus chapter 6 verse 3. Exodus chapter
Exodus 6:3 Exodus 6 chapter mention
-
6 verse what? Verse 3 and then Genesis chapter
-
12 verse 1. These two places, Exodus chapter
-
6 verse 3 and Genesis chapter 12 verse what?
Genesis 12 chapter mention
-
Verse 1. So we know what Jesus is. We know. Give
-
us that Genesis. Exodus 6 verse 3. Exodus 6 verse
-
3. Give us that Exodus 6 verse 3. Exodus 6 verse
-
3. And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and
-
unto Jacob by the name God Almighty. But my name,
-
what? Yehoah. What is Yehoah? Joshua, which is
-
the same as Jesus. But by my name, Yehoah, was
-
I not known, what? To them. Hallelujah. So when
-
we come, we'll catch it up from here. Build on
-
Genesis 12, 1. Amen. And then... We see how the
-
Holy Spirit will continue to help us. Can we
-
just appreciate God, everybody? Can we thank
-
God? Can we just thank God, everybody? We appreciate
-

-
