The Union of the Spirit We Have (Part 5)

he who does not believe will condemn. And these

signs will follow those who believe. In my name

they will cast out the monks, they will stick

with new drugs, they will take up starlings,

and if they drink anything deadly, it will by

no means hurt them. They will lay hands on the

sick, and they will recover. So then, after the

Lord has spoken to them, he was received up into

heaven, and sat down sat down at the right hand

of God, and they went out, preaching everywhere,

and the Lord came with them, confirming their

words through their accompanying signs. Amen.

John chapter 20. John chapter 20 verse 21. So

Jesus said to them again, Peace to you. As the

Father has sent me, I send you also. Praise the

Lord. And when He has said this to them, He breathed

on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.

If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven.

If you retain the sins of any, they are retained.

Amen. Luke chapter 24, verse 25 -27. Luke chapter

24. So, this Luke gives us a more broader...

a account of what happened, and he said to them,

O foolish ones, and slow hands, and he said to

them, O foolish ones, and slow hands, believe

in all that the prophet has spoken, the rest

26. But know the Christ who has suffered these

things, and to enter his glory. And beginning

at Moses and in all the prophets, he has founded

to them, in all the scriptures, the thing called

signing himself. Praise the Lord. And then verse

44. Then he said to them, These are the words

which I spoke to you while I was still with you,

that all things must be fulfilled, which are

written in the law of Moses the prophet, and

in the Psalms consigning me. Praise the Lord!

And we said that Jesus, our King, speaking things

not of his own, but the things that we are reading,

praise the Lord, he didn't come and think and

say, you know what, when we were doing our sound

meter thing, which was two weeks ago, we were

talking about, you know, we were just chatting

about some of the healing that Jesus did. And

he showed so many things in those things, in

those healing times. And we were saying that

he came to heal, right? But in the place of healing,

there were times where He cried. There were times

when he did not cry. Praise the Lord! And he

also prayed. He knew he could heal the person,

but he didn't just come and say, you know what,

this is just a small thing, you know. You know,

like what we see in our family these days. He

was not trying to impress anybody. Praise the

Lord! Some of the things that he was doing, he

was not trying to get the attention of men in

the negative path. to bring glory to himself.

The things that he taught and the things that

he did, he did according to the Scriptures. Praise

the Lord! The things he did were to fulfill the

Scriptures. In Luke 24, he said that all things

must be fulfilled in the law of Moses and the

prophet and in the Psalms. So some of the things

he did were to fulfill the things that were written.

Praise the Lord! And we're going to see a lot

of the things that he did for fulfillment of

the things that were written. He didn't come

to take glory for himself. He didn't come to

show them things. But he came to do that which

was written. We said that Jesus was not teaching

from Matthew, Luke, and John. Praise the Lord!

He was not teaching from Matthew, Mark, Luke,

and John. He was teaching from Genesis to Malachi.

Praise the Lord! He was teaching from Genesis

to Malachi. He wasn't teaching. Matthew was all

written. Mark was not written. So, he was teaching

them from Malachi. In verse 27 of that Luke chapter

Luke 24 · chapter mention

24, he says that he expounded, or he expounded

to them in all the scriptures, the things concerning

himself. Praise the Lord! He expounded to them

the things, to them in all the scriptures, the

things on standing himself. So what he was doing

there is that he was interpreting the scriptures,

the things from standing himself. That was to

expound, is to explain, is to interpret the scriptures,

to give the scriptures meaning. Praise the Lord!

Is to give the scriptures meaning. The scriptures

have meaning. Praise the Lord! The fact that

maybe you read it and do not understand it, or

it's confusing, does not mean it does not have

a proper interpretation. Hallelujah. It does

not mean it does not have a proper interpretation.

That means that the Bible or Bible teaching requires

interpretation. Praise the Lord. It is not something

that you just quote and quote and quote and quote.

It demands an interpretation. It has a meaning.

So even Jesus did not say just receiving. Praise

the Lord. He took his time to explain the scriptures.

He took his time to explain The scriptures. Bible

teaching requires interpretation. So to teach

the Bible is to interpret it. Praise the Lord.

To teach the Bible is to interpret it. It has

its original grammar. Praise the Lord. It has

its original context. Praise the Lord. It has

its original theology. Praise the Lord. So to

teach it requires interpretation. You don't just

spread it and put it in your life. credit and

put in any situation I run with it. Praise the

Lord! I look for scriptures. So, this Bible,

you know, one of the things that I do as a work

is that I rent houses, sell houses, and I manage

houses. So, this Bible, I got it from one of

the houses that I I managed. So the owner gave

me permission to take it because he sold the

house to somebody and the person asked him to

manage it. So if you check in these scriptures,

I like the scripture because it has a new international

version and then it has two scriptures side by

side. That's why I like them. So if you check

these scriptures, you will see that a lot of

the things that were marked were things in sound.

The things that you look at and say, wow, this

is for me, I can roll with this. Praise the Lord!

A lot of the things that are sacral, mad, it's

just, you know, you will not find anything mad

necessarily in the New Testament, just in the

Old Testament, in the Psalms. Just think of finding

the blessing, you know, the promises of God.

Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! So, you have to

interpret the scriptures. Praise the Lord! I

bring that example to say that... Bible studies

or Bible teaching requires interpretation. What

is God saying? Praise the Lord. What does God

mean by the things that He's saying? The Bible

in its entirety is God's intervention into man's

affairs. What is God saying? Praise the Lord.

So you need to find out what is God's intervention.

What is God doing there? Praise the Lord. What

is it about? What is? the theology? What is the

grammar? What is the context of what you're reading?

What does it address? Praise the Lord! What does

it address? Because, like I said, if it just

applies to your life, you might be misinterpreting

what it says. If you don't understand what it's

saying, what is God's intervention? What does

God mean? Are you just straight up interpreting

and putting it in your life, you might be misinterpreting

the scriptures. The context is important. We

have been teaching time and time again. I want

to say this to people that sometimes when you

see the way we teach, it's not because, you know,

we're trying to sound very intelligent or trying

to sound or make you just wow, oh wow, this person

knows the scriptures. No, we're trying to let

you know. how important it is. Part of the things

that you first know as a child of God is how

to interpret the Bible. It's so important in

your life so that you are not deceased. Praise

the Lord. Some of us, it took us years and years

and years because we were thinking that God was

angry at us. Praise the Lord. Because somebody

said this is what the scripture says. Praise

the Lord. Or we were doing some practices for

years and years because somebody misinterpreted

the scriptures, and they taught it to us, and

we ran with it for so much of our lives. Praise

the Lord! So, it is important that you know these

things. Also, when we begin to learn these things,

even for me, for example, when I begin to pay

attention to what the Bible is saying, I might

not have known the things of the spirit or understood

it, but when I see somebody start misinterpreting

the Bible, or start saying what he's all saying,

my ear just stopped. Because I know this is not

it. That's not the way I was taught. It's the

same thing that we're trying to do to you, that

you understand the interpretation of scriptures

so that you are not deceived. Praise the Lord!

I remember, I was listening, I sent us a video.

Someone was talking about Philadelphia and he

said it's a state or it's a place in the United

States. Praise the Lord! The preacher was saying

that Philadelphia is a place in the United States.

We know there is a place in the United States,

but in the Scriptures, there was no United States

at the time. Praise the Lord! It is somewhere

around you. The place that you meet is somewhere

around you. Hallelujah! So it is important that

we pay attention to this, so that we don't misinterpret

the Scriptures or apply them in our lives, and

it will take us years to recover. And one of

the things that... The wrong interpretation,

thus to us, is that we run with it for such a

long time. You know, there are some things that

are happening online, people vibe to it, a train.

Like a train has a window, it doesn't go too

far. But if you begin to apply misinterpretations

of structures in your life, it will take you

years. It's on the train. You will take it into

your life, you will practice it for years. And

it will not be of any effect to you. Praise the

Lord. You will be missing all the things of God.

Praise the Lord. It took me a while to discover

that God can speak to me. Praise the Lord. My

God can speak. I was so excited. So it means

that when I pray, that God can speak to me. Praise

the Lord. It means that I can hear the voice

of God, or I can hear God for somebody else.

Praise the Lord. So I'm not telling a God that

I need to come. I remember there is a pattern

of prayers. And when you come in the morning,

you begin to see a type of prayer. It is so mechanical.

It is so payload in such a way that if you say

something wrong, your fellow is like, I don't

know, that prayer, you didn't do it very well.

Praise the Lord. It is all because of lack of

understanding of what the scriptures says. So,

kindness is very important. So you take things

out of context when you misinterpret things.

Praise the Lord. So context is important. The

context of every statement is what is God intervening

or what is God doing? What is God solving? What

is the problem that He is solving? What is the

situation? So interpretation goes that way. So

we see now what Jesus was teaching. He was teaching

from the Old Testament. Praise the Lord. He was

teaching from Genesis to Malachi. So another

thing about interpretation is that you need to

know or you need to hear what the audience is

hearing. Praise the Lord. A lot of times when

we are trying to explain some difficult matters

to us, we say that the people there were not

conscious. Praise the Lord. The people there,

at that moment, when Jesus was speaking, or the

apostles were speaking, they were not confused.

They understood what He was saying. Praise the

Lord! They understood what He was saying, or

if sometimes they don't understand what He is

saying, He will explain to them again what He

is saying. Praise the Lord! So, we need to understand

as well, or we need to hear what the experience

is hearing. Praise the Lord! It means that you

have understanding. That's what it means. You

need to hear what they are saying. If you don't

hear what they are hearing, you will likely misinterpret

it. Praise the Lord! You will hear the wrong

thing. You need to hear what they are hearing.

So, we said that Jesus was not reading from Romans,

he was not reading from Ephesians, he was not

reading from Luke, he was not reading from Acts,

but rather was reading from Genesis to Malachi.

So this is very fundamental in the way to understand

what the audience is hearing, to know that what

he's teaching them is not in Luke, it's not in

Matthew, it's not in... So in that verse 45,

verse 45 of Luke chapter 4, he said, And we said

that this place where he said he opened their

understanding, it's not a magic trick. It wasn't

that he laid hands on them and they had understanding.

Praise the Lord! I mean, that's not the way you,

when you pass your exam or when you understand

a course, hands were not laid on you. Praise

the Lord! When they are teaching you in class

and somebody has understanding and somebody does

not have, it's not because the other person was

laid hands on. Praise the Lord! It's because

as they were teaching, the person was following.

and the person understood what they were saying.

So it was the same thing that Jesus was doing.

He was teaching and their understanding was open.

Praise the Lord! He knew that He gave them a

proper attitude. Praise the Lord! He gave them

a proper attitude. He opened their understanding

that they may understand. The word to understand

is the word sunyami. Right? It's S -U -N -I -E

-N -I. Sunyami. right in the Greece. It simply

means he read it together. Praise the Lord. It

means he read it together. Which means that you

must read Genesis to Malachi together. Then read

Matthew, Luke and John together. Praise the Lord.

So what Jesus was doing, he wasn't quoting one

place and just told them, no, he was reading

everything together. Oh, so it means that that

prophet or that What Moses said and what this

prophet is saying, they were saying the same

thing. Praise the Lord! To hear me, it means

that he read it together. But for us to have

an understanding of the scriptures, we also need

to read it together. Right? We need to read Genesis

to Malachi together. Then we read Matthew, Luke

and John together. And then the epistles that

we have, which is the doctrine of the church.

Praise the Lord! The explanation of the same

books. So the pieces are the explanation of the

same books, of the things that were written.

Praise the Lord. We read everything together.

So when you say, for example, somebody might

be arguing with you and say, the Bible says,

right? And the person went and quote one please.

That's not what the Bible says. Praise the Lord.

So when you say the Bible says, what you're saying

is that Genesis to Malachi states Matthew to

Revelation says, praise the Lord, you are bringing

the entirety of the scriptures in your explanation.

Hallelujah. So when you say the Bible says, right,

you are reading the whole thing. What does the

Bible say? It means Genesis to Revelation. That

is what the Bible says. So don't take a statement

in Psalms, like I said, right, and say, But read

it through, read it all together, read it through.

You read through the scriptures to know what

the Bible says. Praise the Lord! For example,

you think about some controversial or contentious

topics, right? You don't go to one place and

say, but it says there that you shall not do

this. Praise the Lord! You cannot just move on

to that one verse when you've thought several

times. You cannot hold on to our one verse and

make a doctrine out of it. You need to read it

through. Praise the Lord! So, when it says that

he opened the understanding, Jesus was reading

through. They also, like some of us, where we

were before, also had this misunderstanding.

They also had places where they picked up things

and they ran with it. Praise the Lord! So, what

he did was that he read it through. Praise the

Lord! He read the entirety of it. So, just like

a lot of the pastors and some of the people that

we have here are professors, right? They didn't

become professors because they did only graduate

in law. I said, this is enough. You can call

me a professor. I'm a voice in this field. Praise

the Lord! No! They had to study through. They

had to go through the training. Praise the Lord!

So, when you say the Bible says, You have to

go through it. You read the Bible through, to

know what the Bible is saying. Now, Matthew 28

Matthew 28:19

verse 19, when we read, part of our conversation

was that God has given us a mandate to go and

teach, to go and make disciples of all nations.

Verse 19, He said, Go therefore and make disciples

of all nations. baptizing them in the name of

the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Last time, I was talking to us about how important

it is that He said, "...baptizing them in the

name of the Father, the Son, and of the Spirit."

And we're also talking about what that baptism

was, or what the meaning of that baptism was.

He said, to make disciples of all nations, right?

To make disciples, we said He's a Greek word

for Makathio. Praise the Lord! That is, to make

a scholar. Praise the Lord! To make a scholar.

To make a scholar. To make a student of the Scriptures.

To make them. So when Jesus, so Jesus was not,

so he's in Genesis from the beginning. We see,

right, is that he's... He wants people that are

made students of the Scriptures. So, he's saying

that we should go and make disciples, right?

Make them students of the Scriptures, people

that understand the Scriptures. Praise the Lord!

The truth should tell us what? That you shall

know the truth, and the truth will do what? It

will make you free. If you don't know the truth,

you'll be living in bondage. Praise the Lord!

And some of those bondages are bondages of teachings.

A lot of them are bondages of the things that

we have been taught, or the things that we have

refused to draw, or the things that we have refused

to unlearn, to make a scholar, to make a student.

So it therefore means that the Bible, like the

way academic books are, the Bible transmits virtual

realities and values. Praise the Lord! So, when

he says you should make a student, how do you

make a student? How do you make a nursing student?

You go through four years of studies. Praise

the Lord! You go through four years of studies.

There are some places, five years of studies.

Praise the Lord! That's how you know a distressing

is quantified to be a nurse. Hallelujah! So,

how do you make a Bible student? Praise the Lord!

He says what? Do you trust me? Right? The Bible,

it transmits spiritual realities. Praise the

Lord. The person becomes the scholar of the scriptures.

It's a book that transmits spiritual truths and

realities, spiritual truths and values. It means

it must be read and understood, or it means it

must be read, studied, and understood. It is

not a magazine. Praise the Lord. It is not something

that you just read. and the three lines, praise

the Lord. Something that you just read, you just

say, okay, I had this story and all of that.

It must be read, studied, and understood. Praise

the Lord. So it is because of the lack of studies,

it is because of the lack of proper reading and

understanding that we have teachings that are

not according to scriptures. Praise the Lord.

That we have teachings that are not deep, that

do not explain the things of God, or the mind

of God, or the intentions of God. Praise the

Lord. So, it is not a book of quotes. Praise

the Lord. You don't just say, no, it is something

that is read through. It is not a book of quotes.

It is a book that transmits spiritual reality.

Like I said, it must be read, it must be understood,

and it's linked. You must see it that way. So

to understand the Bible, you must hear it, to

make the disciples a student. So one of the things

that you learn as a student is how. Praise the

Lord. It's how. Some teachers don't like questions,

okay? One of the things you learn as a student

is how, but how is that? How did that come about?

Praise the Lord. It's part of the values of a

good student, the thing that a good student must

have. How did that come about? Praise the Lord.

How is that a star nation? You must learn the

how of the spiritual, right? the how to read

the scriptures. You must learn how to read the

scriptures. Praise the Lord. You must read, read,

so you must learn how to learn the scriptures.

How to read the scriptures. How to teach the

scriptures. You must learn that, right? As a

student of the scriptures, you must learn that.

So let's focus on something In that Matthew 28,

Matthew 28:20

verse 20. So teaching them to observe all things

that have commanded you, and know I'm with you

always, even to the end of the age, even to the

end of the age. That word, teaching them, as

we said several times, is the word didascho in

the Greek. Right? Didascho in the Greek. Which

is, we said it has a body of... It's from a body

of walls. It has aloes. It has alia. Right? It's

from a body of walls. Right? So, let's focus

on one of it, which is didache, or didahane.

D -A, sorry, D -I -D -A -C -H -E. D -I -D -A

-C -H -E. So, it's the same word that Jesus used

in Matthew 7, from verse 28 to 29, for teaching.

Matthew 7. And so it was, when Jesus had ended

this thing, that the people were astonished at

His teaching. Praise the Lord. And He took them

as one, having authority, not as the scribe.

Praise the Lord! Not as the scribe. It's the

word for teaching there we see there in chapter

28. Right? Remember, this was when Jesus had

finished the salmon on the mount. Praise the

Lord! The people were astonished at his doctrine.

It's also the same word as doctrine. Right? That

word teaching there. The same word as also doctrine.

Praise the Lord! We see that in the New Testament

most of the time. Remember? We also talked about

this the last time, right? That these people

have had the teachings of the Pharisees and the

Pharisees and the scribes. They have experience

of their teaching. Praise the Lord. They have

experience of their teaching. So also, it's so

many people that you will encounter when you

want to explain the Bible. They have experience

of teaching. Praise the Lord. They have written

books. You cannot assume that this person doesn't

know. They know some things. They know a lot

of things. Praise the Lord! They have been taught

as well. So, these people had experience of the

teachings of the Pharisees, right? They are familiar

with it. They know the way they are taught. But

then, they were astonished at Jesus' teaching,

right? They were astonished. They felt something

about His teaching. Wow, this is different! This

is different from everything that we have been

hearing. Praise the Lord! They were as strong

as teaching. They know the way they strive to

help them. So we said that teaching is a word

for teaching. It means a mode of teaching. There

is a way Jesus taught them. There is a mode of

teaching. I explained this briefly the last time

I was teaching. That word teaching is a mode

of teaching. They were astonished at this mode

of teaching. He did not teach them as the Pharisees.

Praise the Lord. Now, don't get this wrong. When

you say the mode of teaching, somebody might

be thinking that Jesus was jumping up and down.

Praise the Lord. Or he was shouting. Or maybe

he was slow with his voice. He was, because you

see that word, he says as one that has authority,

right? So you might start thinking that, oh,

Jesus was shouting. You know the way, I think

the former president of psychology stopped when

it comes to graduation. He used to raise his

voice like one of those Haitian people, right?

He used to be shouting, shouting. People would

be so hyped. That's not the way Jesus was. That's

not the mode of teaching. Oh, that's not the

mode of teaching. Praise the Lord. He was teaching

them. through the structures. Praise the Lord.

So again, remember that Jesus also was warning

them about the teachings of the Pharisees. He

also warned them, beware of the leavens of the

Pharisees. He tells them, beware of the teachings

of the Pharisees. Praise the Lord. So he was

also warning them. So he was not just teaching

them, or he had a mode of teaching, but he was

also warning them against some type of teaching,

a particular type of teaching that people are

bringing. Praise the Lord! I thank God for the

internet, personally. I think it's the doing

of many and the undoing of a lot. Praise the

Lord, because you need to see the things that

people have in the inside of them. You see them,

and you see a lot of the gifts and the wonderful

things that people do have in the inside of them.

Praise the Lord! He wrenched them. as well about

the mode of teaching of the Pharisees. So one

of the things that you know, one of the things,

one of the ways in which you can know false teaching

is the way it is taught. Praise the Lord. One

of the ways you can know false teaching is the

way it is taught. Right? One of the things that

is done in the, in false teaching is that scriptures

are lifted out of context. It's very crucial.

criteria, praise the Lord, of false teaching,

is that scriptures are listed out of context,

to say what the person wants is to say. Praise

the Lord. That's one of the ways in which you

will know false teachings. Remember in Matthew

Matthew 18 · chapter mention

chapter 18, right? In Matthew chapter 19, when

Matthew 19 · chapter mention

they came and they were quoting to Jesus, talking

about the woman, the adult trust woman, right?

They came and they were quoting the Chronicles

of the 24th verse 1. Jesus said to him, you are

reading dishonesty. What they were reading was

dishonest. They were not reading it properly.

He said to them, let's go to the beginning. He

said, in the beginning, it was not so. They came

and they were quoting scriptures for him to push

an agenda. And he said, you are reading dishonesty.

I think we talked about this as well. You are

reading dishonesty. In the beginning, it was

not so. Praise the Lord! I think I have some

people that I buy books for. I've looked at them.

They are not writing. Praise the Lord! Please,

if I buy a book for you, I'll show you how to

write it. It's not you paying me back. So, he

says, in the beginning, it was not so. He says,

take it to context. Don't list it out of it.

Take it to the context in the beginning. Praise

the Lord! He took them back to Genesis chapter

Genesis 1 · chapter mention

1 and chapter 2. In the beginning, it was not

true. The same thing went said and came, and

he was quoting Psalms for him. Praise the Lord,

he was quoting Psalms 91 to him. Right? Now,

it's the same thing that Jesus said to him. Jesus

went and said, let's go to Deuteronomy chapter

Deuteronomy 6 · chapter mention

6. So, even in the real testament, the structures

were not perfect. For you to properly understand

them, you cannot run with 14. Praise the Lord!

You must also read the Old Testament together

to understand what it is saying, because as they

say something, as they are reading Deuteronomy,

Jesus is taking them to Genesis. As the devil

comes and is bringing some, Jesus is also taking

them to Deuteronomy. Praise the Lord! So which

means that even the Old Testament, the quoting

of the text, without the other Old Testament

book, is also misinterpretation. Praise the Lord.

It's also misinterpretation. You might be quoting

it out of context. Praise the Lord. So we are

quoting one part without thinking about what

the other part is saying. You might be quoting

it out of context. Praise the Lord. So we see

that Jesus was also doing that and he's the examples

that we learn. He took him back to Deuteronomy

Deuteronomy 6 · chapter mention

chapter 6. They say take this statement or take

this your statement statement to the context,

right? Take it to the full of it. So context

is not just in the book. It's not just In the

chapter, it is in the entire Bible book. Praise

the Lord! We said that context, there is the

context of the Bible. Praise the Lord! It's not

just in the chapter, or it's not just in the

book that you're reading. It's also the entirety

of the Bible. Praise the Lord! So, when you have

the confusion, or when you read something and

you're confused, praise the Lord! And it's not

just that, okay, you're confused. That's good,

right? It means that... You need to also understand

what the Bible is saying. What is the entirety

of the Bible? We're going to see something briefly

about that. You need to put it in the entirety

of the Bible. So Jesus, we saw, has a mode of

teaching. And He transmits this mode of teaching

to His disciples. And His saying words also do

the same. By saying words, teaching them to observe

or the things that have commanded you. He's saying,

transmit this thing that I transmit to you to

other people. Praise the Lord! Transmit it to

other people. Hallelujah! Transmit it to other

people. So he says what? In the beginning, Jesus

was saying, beginning at Moses, right? And in

all the prophets, he read it together. That's

what he's saying. He read them together, as we

say, Tsunemi. Acts, Acts chapter 2 verse 44,

Acts 2:44

the same word we are still in either here or

there too, Acts chapter 2 verse 42. This one

Acts 2:42

is great. All this is confusing. And he continues

steadfastly in the apostolic doctrine and in

his fellowship. And in the breaking of bread

and in prayers, praise the Lord, He said, they

continue steadfastly in the apostolic doctrine.

So that doctrine is a word that either he or

she has said, right? In mode of teaching. In

the mode of teaching, you wish the God from what?

From Jesus. Praise the Lord! Do you understand

that? Right? I have an all -close background.

Okay? When I read this, continue steadfastly

in the apostolic doctrine. Right? My head went

somewhere. So let me say that again. It seems

to me we're running out of time. They continuously

said firstly that they are post -Jewish doctrine.

Now, they are post -Jewish doctrine. Where did

they come from? Praise the Lord! Where did they

learn it from? Who did they learn it from? Praise

the Lord! It is a thing also that Christ taught

them, right? That they were teaching. Praise

the Lord! It is the mode of teaching of Christ,

right? It's also the mode of teaching that they

are also teaching. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!

So, Jesus warned His disciples to beware of the

mode of teaching of the Pharisees. He also warned

them about the Pharisees. He also warned them

about their mode of teaching. So, it's not just

good enough to beware of the Pharisees. Right?

They say, oh, these guys, they teach false things.

Let's be aware of them. Right? Beware of their

teaching. Beware of how they quote scriptures

out of context. Praise the Lord. It is not a

small matter. Okay? When somebody is quoting

scripture out of context and you're saying anything,

it is not a small matter. It's not something

that you say, oh, you know what? Do you understand?

It is delicate. Praise the Lord. It is delicate.

Beware of how they talk. So it doesn't matter

if this person is your guy, you know, if this

person is your friend, if this person is your

classmate, if this person is your wife, your

husband. Praise the Lord. Beware of how they

handle the sexes. Beware of how you handle the

sexes. Praise the Lord. It's not a small matter.

Beware of how you handle the scriptures. It could

be your uncle or your father, praise the Lord.

Beware of how you handle the scriptures. So,

it is one of the greatest things that we see

or that affects us, or you can even call it a

sin, praise the Lord if you like, right? To handle

the scriptures anyhow. Because what you are doing

is that you're putting somebody 10 years back

or 20 or maybe forever back. Praise the Lord!

If they are not able to hear sound doctrine or

sound teaching, praise the Lord! So many people

have left, you know, I wouldn't say left the

faith, right? So many people have stopped going

to church or stopped being... because maybe somebody

taught something that meant something that was...

or somebody did not properly explain the scriptures

or somebody used the scriptures for their own

personal benefit. Praise the Lord! Or somebody

uses the church or the activities of the church

for their own personal benefit. Praise the Lord!

So, it is not a small matter. It is not something

that you just say, you know what, let's just

keep going. Praise the Lord! It doesn't matter

who the person is. It is dangerous to mishandle

the scriptures. Praise the Lord! It is dangerous

to mishandle the scriptures. One of the things

why it is dangerous is because man would have

a God. Praise the Lord! It doesn't matter if

you are a Christian or not. Man would have a

God. Praise the Lord! Whenever you say you are

an atheist or not, you would have a God. Praise

the Lord! So, when somebody is in the faith,

they need to be taught So, what I also want,

Romans chapter 6, Romans chapter 16 and 17, now

I urge you brethren, not those who cause division

and offences, contrary to the doctrine which

you have learned, which you learn, and avoid

them. Praise the Lord. You see, when he says

contrary to The doctrine, what it means is that

contrary to the mode of teaching, that's what

it means. We looked at that word, we saw what

that word means. Contrary to the mode of teaching.

He said, what should you do? If you do what?

Avoid them. Praise the Lord. Avoid them. You

know somebody, they tell us about what Joseph

did. Praise the Lord. When you know what was

why we begin to cast our eyes on him. What did

he do? He ran away. And we have admonished, and

will continue to admonish, that you do what?

You run away. One of the things you should also

run away from, don't say you're a strong man

or you're a strong man or wrong, no. One of the

things that we also admonish is also to do what?

To avoid, to run away. From what? Mishandling

prior teachings or mishandling of the Spirit,

of God's teachings. To go away from that place.

Beware of it, because it does influence you.

Praise the Lord! What you hear will influence

you. Hallelujah! What you hear will influence

you. We all know this, right? So, when you see

somebody behaving somehow, you know how to think,

but your father did not teach you that. Your

mother did not teach you that. He was hearing

it somewhere. Praise the Lord! Maybe they gave

him a phone, and then he was listening to a lot

of praise. and he's listening to somebody telling

him, you know what? This, this, that, and that.

And you see the person. And he's saying some

things like, this guy, I grew up with you, this

is your doctor, whatever you are, whatever social

thing you're trying to promote, right? I know

you did not learn it from where we grew up. Praise

the Lord. He learned it from somewhere. Praise

the Lord. Somebody informed him. As he was hearing

it, the thing informed him. It triggers something

in the inside of him to think that he's something.

that he is not. There is a lot. So false teaching

or some mode of teaching, right, will affect

you to unflinch it. So how says to avoid it?

Now what is the kind of language that is used

in chapter 6, verse 17, Romans 6, 17? But what

we think That though you were slaves to sin,

yet you obeyed from your heart. That form of

doctrine which you received. That form of doctrine

which you were delivered. That form of doctrine

which you were delivered. Right? It's systemic

teaching. Right? So you have a mode of teaching.

Or you want to put somebody in a leadership position,

leaders as a pastor, or as a cell leader, as

a leader of a team, right? Titus, chapter one,

verse nine. Nine, verse nine. He said, all things

fast, the faithful word as you have been taught,

right? that he may be able, by sound doctrine,

both to exalt and to convict those who contradict.

Praise the Lord. Holding fast the faithful world

as he has been taught. So he needs to hold fast

to what? Right? For anybody who is a leader of

everything in the church, needs to hold fast

to what? To that which he has been taught. So

you cannot just put somebody into any position.

Say, you know what, ah, I like your vibes. Just,

you know, be one of the leads. Your voice is

so good. And you lead our worship team. I think

you're tall, you're handsome, you know, you have

a straight face. And you lead our ushering team.

We need people that are well physically and,

you know, that can command some respect. Praise

the Lord. You don't just put people like that.

It doesn't work like that. Praise the Lord. there

are people that are holding fast to that one

which they were taught in mode of teaching. Right?

So that by what? They may be able by sound doctrine,

they too, right, to be able to teach. That's

what he's saying. That whatever they are teaching

is also very sound. Praise the Lord. So, let

me digress. So it therefore means that the church

is not a place where some people should know

higher than other people. Praise the Lord. A

church, a gathering of believers, shouldn't be,

could be, shouldn't be a place where some people

know more than the others. Praise the Lord. So

it therefore means that the pastor who is teaching,

the person who is ushering, or who is the leader

of the worship team or media team, is able also,

by the same sound doctrine, be able to teach.

as equally as the pastor is teaching. Do you

understand? Praise the Lord. So you don't just

put anybody, right? There is a mode of teaching.

It's not something you just, you know, wish away

and something that you just say, no, it doesn't

matter. I think it's qualified. Praise the Lord.

It is critical and important. Praise the Lord.

Second John, chapter one, verse nine. 2 John,

2 John 1:9

chapter 1, verse 9. See another strong word that

was used there. 2 John, remember we're still

in Dida H, or Dida T. Whoever transgresses and

does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does

not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of

Christ has both the Father and the Son. He said

does not and does not have or does not abide

in the doctrine of Christ, does not have God.

Praise the Lord. A mode of teaching. This is

very strong. It does not have God. He that abide

in the teaching or in the teaching of Christ,

the mode of teaching of Christ, it says what?

Has what? Has both the Father and the Son. Which

means that the concept of the Father, which I

also talked about, the last time we talked about.

It's not a secondary thing. The idea of the Father,

the Son, and the Spirit is not a secondary thing.

Who is a liar or he who denies that Christ is,

sorry, he who denies that Jesus is the Christ

is an antichrist who denies what the Father understands.

Just keep down the street, okay? Now, we have

believers who don't stick in doors, okay? We

have believers who, you know, say that The only

way of worshipping, you need to use this and

use that. We have such believers in the book

of Acts. We have believers who do ceremonies,

who do different types of things. There's some

who give holy communion, some don't. Praise the

Lord. Some dance, some do not dance. Praise the

Lord. We have different types of things. These

things are not... They're not fundamental things.

We don't dance. You dance. Believers don't wear

trousers. Those who cover their hair. Women in

worship. There are so many things. They're not

fundamental things. They can have an effect.

They can bring some composition here and there.

Okay? But we're not very fundamental, right?

We have believers that preach on tithes, right?

You know, within the Old Testament context. I

said, you know what? It's not applicable in the

New Testament. For those who preach on it and

say, yes, it's applicable in the New Testament.

We have things like that. Do you understand?

Right? As I said, they're not fundamental things.

We have believers who cover their head. We have

believers who don't cover their head. We have

believers... and I believe that women should

not wear trousers. You know, women in worship

is not fundamental. We have believers who believe

that women should not be pastors, right? We have

things like this. You know, there are doctrinal

issues, obviously, right? There are doctrinal

issues that can be resolved. Praise the Lord!

There are doctrinal issues. All of these topics

are things that, you know, You don't understand

the scriptures. They are doctrinal things that

we can teach and somebody will have understanding.

Praise the Lord! They can be handled. If they

are not properly handled, they can hinder the

growth of a believer. Praise the Lord! But they

are not foundational things. But then, why do

we have people deny the Father and the Son? This

is different. they deny the deity of the Christ.

What it means is that when you find somebody

that denies the father and the son or the deity

of Christ, that person is not a believer. There

is no, you know what, you're my brother, you're

my sister, those ones These are fundamental things.

They are strong things, right? You are no longer

brothers and sisters. You believe, I will say,

you are no longer a believer that I know. Praise

the Lord. You are no longer a believer. Praise

the Lord. So, we cannot say, you know what, let's

just look over it. Know something that we can

have a drink over. Praise the Lord. Something

that we can take a walk over. Praise the Lord.

We can sit at a table and eat and some of these

things. We can do that with some of these doctrinal

thoughts. Say, can we have a lunch? And then

you teach the person about the things of God.

The person will have understanding. Praise the

Lord! Right? But this is critical. Right? The

doctrine to Christ is strong and it's serious.

In the idea here, it is fundamental. Right? In

the doctrine, it is fundamental that Jesus is

God. He's not an opinion. Praise the Lord! It

is not an opinion. Maybe your classmate tells

you that people are too strict. They say, what

do you mean? No, people are too strict. Your

friend tells you that these things are not that

serious. Why do you say that? Praise the Lord!

What difference does it make if I don't affirm

that Christ is God? What difference does it make?

Does He change anything? Does He change the fact

that He is my Savior? Do you understand? Just

tell the person that you have become in Jehovah's

Witness. Hallelujah. You have become in front

of the Jehovah's Witness. We are no longer brothers.

Hallelujah. It's very simple. You're no longer

brotherhood. Our brotherhood is on the deity

of Christ. Praise the Lord. Our fellowship is

on the deity of Christ. So, He's on the doctrine

of Christ. And that explanation involves what?

The deity of Christ. He is God. Praise the Lord.

He is God. So, you can also have people that

misinterpret the scriptures. There's a lack of

understanding of us. Not everybody that misunderstands

the scriptures does it maliciously. Okay, that's

an order as well. That not everybody that you

saw this person is reading. Oh, you're not interpreting

the scriptures rightly. It means that the person

is evil or the person is not. A lot of people

are genuine, right? A lot of people are genuine,

but they don't understand it. They don't know

it. Praise the Lord. These are issues that you

can, like I said, have a glass of... I don't

know why. You can sit down at the table and eat

and talk about it. Praise the Lord. Sometimes,

again... Some people might misinterpret. For

example, the book of Revelation, what does it

mean? You can have all this and you need to understand

it. It's not very fundamental. Like I said, it

might have an effect. It might affect people's

growth. It might affect a lot of things, but

it's something that can be resolved. But when

somebody watches the deity of Christ, that is

no longer a brotherhood type of conversation.

Praise the Lord! This is very critical. It is

very important. The doctrine of Christ. Praise

the Lord! The blood of atonement. Praise the

Lord! The redemption through His sacrifice. It

is a noble area. Praise the Lord! This is fundamental.

Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! So, in systematic

teachings, we have these things like what Christ

explained in John chapter 14, John chapter 14,

John chapter 14, 16, 15 to 16. He also emphasized

John 14 · chapter mention

the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. Praise the

Lord! So, like I said, we are looking into the

union of the spirit we have. Praise the Lord!

And lastly, we continue our oneness to Christ.

So, when we are looking at this, I will read

out John, John chapter 14, verse 16 to 16. If

John 14:16

you love me, keep my commandment, verse 16. And

I will pray to the Father and he will give you

another helper who will abide with you forever.

Just keep that verse. Praise the Lord! So, we

see here again, emphasizing the Father, the Son,

and the Spirit. Right? Like I said, we're looking

at the union of the Spirit that we have. Right?

So, the first thing that we see, or we have been

talking about, is that we looked at also the

previous time, is that the gospel is for everybody.

Praise the Lord! When He says, you should go

and preach the gospel everywhere. It means that

the gospel is for everybody. It is for everybody.

Right? It is for everybody. The Spirit of God

is for everybody. And if the gospel is for everybody,

then the spirit is also for everybody, right?

Praise the Lord. So the essence of redemption

or salvation is what? The giving of the spirit.

What does it say? And I will pray to the Father,

right? And he will give you another helper. He

will abide with you forever. Forever is forever.
