  1. Amen. You can be seated.

  2. I want to introduce to you Matt Tyler. Many of you already know him, and if not, then hopefully you'll have a chance to get to know him this evening.

  3. You all know that First Baptist Church has been such an integral part of the story of this congregation from the very beginning.

  4. So First Baptist planted this church as First Baptist Allendahl, Allendahl Baptist Church.

  5. When it became the church at Seaweed Bay, that was First Baptist doing. They were behind that work.

  6. And then when the elders at First Baptist discussed how to best serve this congregation and decided this needs to be an autonomous church,

  7. the elders at First Baptist Church got behind this work.

  8. And so you may not know all of the work that they've been doing behind the scenes, all the many ways that they've been praying for us,

  9. praying for you, seeking the Lord's guidance as we've moved forward, all the ways that Matt in particular has been an encouragement to me.

  10. I still remember one of the first conversations I had when I heard about Seaweed Bay.

  11. It was with Matt and some of the other guys from the Pillar Network, and I left that conversation saying,

  12. I have no idea what an Allendahl is, what a Seaweed is, but I couldn't shake the thought of coming here from my mind.

  13. And I believe that that's an answer to the Lord answering the prayers of these elders at First Baptist Mount Pleasant.

  14. And so I asked Matt to come and to speak to us tonight, just to give a charge to the church as we get established this evening,

  15. a charge to the pastors as well as the leaders of this flock.

  16. And we're just excited to hear from him.

  17. So, Matt, if you would come up and bring the word to us tonight.

  18. Yes, sir.

  19. Well, it is a joy to be with you guys tonight.

  20. And I'm so thankful to that conversation that Jonathan and I were able to have.

  21. And it's been a couple of years ago now when we first met.

  22. But on behalf of the members of First Baptist Mount Pleasant, the elders, the deacons there,

  23. just want to say greetings.

  24. They're having we're having a service right now and they're praying for you and they're thankful for you.

  25. And we are excited for what God is doing out here.

  26. And several years ago, I could I think Trey could speak to this.

  27. We were in an elder meeting discussing how to best serve this church in this community.

  28. And we just ran around the room in an elder meeting and asked the question, OK, does there need to be a church in all and all?

  29. And the answer was obviously yes.

  30. Does there need to be a Baptist church in all and all?

  31. And the answer was yes.

  32. Is Siwi Bay that church?

  33. And as we talked and considered and prayed and went before the Lord about that, the answer was yes.

  34. And we're so thankful that God has allowed us to play a very small part in his eternal plan.

  35. It didn't start just a few years ago.

  36. It started a long time ago, really in eternity past.

  37. As God the Father and God the Son were working things out in what we call the covenant of redemption.

  38. They had a plan for all and all.

  39. They had a plan for you.

  40. They had a plan for those who don't know it yet, who live in this community, who are going to be impacted by the gospel that this church shares, but that you share.

  41. And so tonight, I want us to look to a passage of scripture.

  42. I'm not going to keep you long.

  43. There's food out in the lobby.

  44. And that would be dangerous.

  45. But I felt led this week to look to a passage of scripture I can honestly say is my favorite in all of the Bible.

  46. But we're going to look a little bit broader than just my favorite verses.

  47. We're going to look to Colossians 1, verses 15 through 20.

    Colossians 1:15–20

  48. So if you have a Bible, I want to encourage you to turn there.

  49. Colossians 1.

  50. Colossians 1.

  51. Verses 15 through 20.

  52. I've entitled this, All Things to the Glory of Christ.

  53. Let's read God's Holy Word.

  54. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

  55. For by him, all things were created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible.

  56. Whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through him and for him.

  57. And he is before all things.

  58. And in him, all things hold together.

  59. And he is the head of the body, the church.

  60. He is the beginning.

  61. The firstborn from the dead.

  62. That in everything, he might be preeminent.

  63. For in him, all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell.

  64. And through him, to reconcile to himself all things.

  65. Whether on earth or in heaven.

  66. Making peace by the blood of his cross.

  67. This is the word of the Lord.

  68. Would you pray?

  69. Let's ask for the Spirit's help.

  70. Oh God, we praise you for this night.

  71. But not just for this night.

  72. We praise you for all that you have been doing in the hearts and the lives of your people in this church up to this point.

  73. And we praise you for all that you are going to continue to do in the hearts and the lives of your people in this church.

  74. And in this community.

  75. And around the world.

  76. Through the efforts and the ministries of Seawee Bay Baptist Church.

  77. We ask now, though, that you help us in our weakness.

  78. That you would keep us focused upon you.

  79. That our eyes would be open to see your beauty.

  80. That our ears would be open to hear the glorious goodness of your grace.

  81. And, oh God, that you would bend our wills.

  82. That we might be conformed to the image of Christ.

  83. It's in his name that I pray.

  84. Amen.

  85. In 1914, on December 24th, in the middle of the Great War.

  86. There was much loss.

  87. There were many who were dying.

  88. On that Christmas Eve, two opposing sides laid down their arms.

  89. And they met in the neutral ground in between the two fighting forces.

  90. Or you would call that, actually, the deadly ground between the two fighting forces.

  91. And they came together.

  92. And they began to sing hymns.

  93. And Christmas carols.

  94. And to fellowship together.

  95. Those who were enemies, at one point, came together to spend time together.

  96. To acknowledge this day.

  97. Both pagan and Christian alike.

  98. To acknowledge this day as something special.

  99. Now, I can't prove it.

  100. But I believe that that moment in human history, that probably will never be reproduced.

  101. I mean, think about that.

  102. But that moment in history, I believe, was led by some Christian individuals.

  103. In the throes of war.

  104. Who decided, we're going to lay down our arms.

  105. And we're going to glorify God on this day.

  106. Now, we know the war raged.

  107. And things were horrible.

  108. But for that moment, the people of God drew the masses together for a time of peace.

  109. In this text that we look at tonight.

  110. In this charge, to you as church members.

  111. And to you who are elders in this church.

  112. Pastors in this church.

  113. I want to remind you that all things.

  114. All things.

  115. Not some things.

  116. But all things.

  117. Are held together.

  118. They're being sustained.

  119. All things.

  120. Are being redeemed.

  121. All things are working together, as Paul wrote.

  122. For the glory and for the good.

  123. Of those who love God and are called according to his purpose.

  124. And so, if we look at these five verses.

  125. It's interesting.

  126. And important to point out.

  127. That five times in five verses.

  128. The two words, all things, are used.

  129. Five times.

  130. In so many verses.

  131. The two words, all things.

  132. Are used.

  133. And they're used.

  134. To show that God.

  135. Chose.

  136. To use his son.

  137. To send his son.

  138. To redeem.

  139. All things.

  140. And so, we look first.

  141. It says, by him, all things were created.

  142. Now, this doesn't mean that Christ.

  143. Was created.

  144. That's heresy.

  145. But, Christ is eternal.

  146. And in Christ.

  147. All things were created.

  148. By Christ.

  149. All things were created.

  150. When you look back to the creation account.

  151. You see the Trinity present there.

  152. And so, I think it's important for us to look at the history.

  153. Just briefly.

  154. Of this church.

  155. You see.

  156. By him, all things were created.

  157. It wasn't by First Baptist Mount Pleasant.

  158. That the Baptist Church was created here so many years ago.

  159. It was by Christ.

  160. You see.

  161. It was Christ who moved in the hearts of his people.

  162. To draw them together.

  163. To form what is his bride.

  164. It wasn't the works of men or women.

  165. It was the work of God.

  166. And some individuals got to play a part in that.

  167. You see.

  168. Because by him, all things were created.

  169. You see.

  170. Christ had a plan.

  171. For this particular church.

  172. And for this particular community.

  173. Long ago.

  174. Long before the world was created.

  175. God had planned in Christ.

  176. To gather you together.

  177. In this place.

  178. And so, we praise him.

  179. That he brought people along.

  180. In the way.

  181. That through Sea Wee Bay.

  182. And through it being the church that it was.

  183. Many years ago.

  184. And along the way.

  185. And by God's grace.

  186. Where we are today.

  187. We praise him for that.

  188. But let us not settle for where we are today.

  189. Church.

  190. Let me remind you.

  191. That all things were created by him.

  192. But we will see in just a moment.

  193. All things are being held together by him.

  194. And all things are being reconciled.

  195. Unto him.

  196. And so, yes.

  197. We celebrate today.

  198. But today is not the ending point.

  199. Today is merely a diving board.

  200. Into the pool, if you will.

  201. Of what God has planned for you.

  202. And for this community to come.

  203. You see.

  204. All things would be reconciled to Christ.

  205. But first.

  206. All things were created.

  207. And what a joy it is.

  208. To be a part of his created order.

  209. Second thing that we see in this text.

  210. As we look at this idea of all things.

  211. We see through him.

  212. And for him.

  213. All things were created.

  214. So, he created all things.

  215. And yet through him.

  216. And for him.

  217. All of these things.

  218. Were created.

  219. The eternal son of God.

  220. Through whom God.

  221. Made heaven and earth.

  222. According to John.

  223. Or first John 1.

  224. 3.

  225. All of these things.

  226. Were created for him.

  227. For his glory.

  228. For his enjoyment.

  229. And so.

  230. When we think about.

  231. This community.

  232. Let us not.

  233. Think about this community.

  234. As just.

  235. People living out in homes.

  236. In different areas.

  237. Of all in all.

  238. McClellanville.

  239. And in.

  240. In.

  241. In.

  242. In.

  243. In.

  244. In.

  245. In.

  246. In.

  247. In.

  248. In.

  249. In.

  250. In.

  253. In.

  254. In.

  255. In.

  256. In.

  257. In.

  258. In.

  259. In.

  260. In.

  261. In.

  262. In.

  263. In.

  264. In.

  265. In.

  266. In.

  267. In.

  268. In.

  269. In.

  270. In.

  271. In.

  272. In.

  273. In.

  274. In.

  275. In.

  276. In.

  277. In.

  278. In.

  279. In.

  280. In.

  281. In.

  282. In.

  283. In.

  284. In.

  285. In.

  286. In.

  287. has been created for the glory of God in Christ.

  288. I hope you are stirred on this evening that as you drive from this place

  289. and as you leave from this place, members of this church,

  290. that you begin to see all in all, not just as a place where you live

  291. and where you come to worship, but as a place that has been included

  292. in these all things, the all things of Christ.

  293. And do you know what he allows us to do?

  294. He allows you to play a part in going and finding it.

  295. I think about little kids on Easter.

  296. Now, I know this illustration breaks down, okay?

  297. All illustrations do, right?

  298. This one really breaks down, but it helps me.

  299. Think about kids on Easter.

  300. You know, we put out the eggs.

  301. And let's just say you've got some eggs out here in the nice grass,

  302. and, you know, adults, we go out and we hide the eggs,

  303. and you let the kids loose to go run after the eggs.

  304. What do the kids do?

  305. They run.

  306. They tear.

  307. And they start finding eggs, and they're throwing them in their basket,

  308. and they're so excited about what they're finding.

  309. But before long, the obvious eggs are gone.

  310. What do the kids do at that point?

  311. They begin to look back at the adults,

  312. because they know that some of you guys hide them in the hard places.

  313. And they start looking, and what do you start doing?

  314. You start pointing.

  315. Look under the tire.

  316. Look under the bush.

  317. And you start helping them find the eggs,

  318. because you know where they are.

  319. You see, friends, God has given us a role in his kingdom,

  320. in the all-thingsness of Christ,

  321. that we get to play this role of going out and displaying his beauty

  322. and finding his children and sharing the gospel with them.

  323. And many times we run out of moments like this really excited.

  324. And we're going, and we're telling them about the new church.

  325. We're telling them about Christ.

  326. And we're telling our neighbors and our coworkers and our family

  327. all of the wonderful things of God.

  328. But a few years from now,

  329. the romantic side of being part of a church wears off.

  330. And things get hard.

  331. Not every Sunday is an up Sunday.

  332. Not every month is an exciting month.

  333. Sometimes the numbers go up.

  334. Sometimes the numbers go down.

  335. Sometimes we don't sing your favorite song

  336. or don't study your favorite book of the Bible.

  337. But it's in those moments.

  338. Where do you look when things get hard?

  339. I hope we, like the little kids in the Easter egg hunt,

  340. begin to look back not to an adult,

  341. but to our Savior.

  342. We begin to look to him and we begin to say,

  343. what do we do now?

  344. How do we glorify you now?

  345. Where are your people now?

  346. How do we worship you now?

  347. We don't look around to other things.

  348. We look back to the one who has created all things

  349. and to whom all things were created for.

  350. All things were created through.

  351. In him it goes on to say,

  352. all things are held together.

  353. So he's the creator of all things.

  354. All things were made through him and for him,

  355. but he's also the sustainer of all things.

  356. Do you know right now there's not one atom

  357. in all of the universe that is in chaos

  358. or that is out of order?

  359. Because if there were one,

  360. all of existence would cease to exist

  361. in that moment except for the Trinity.

  362. But you see, God in Christ is sustaining all things.

  363. He's keeping all things together

  364. for the glory of his Son right now.

  365. He's doing that in your life and in my life.

  366. And do you know he's done that through this church?

  367. There have been seasons that were difficult in this church.

  368. There have been seasons that have been great celebration in this church.

  369. But in all things and in all times,

  370. Christ the sustainer has ruled and reigned.

  371. And so Jonathan,

  372. Trey,

  373. what is it that you will turn to

  374. when things are difficult in this church?

  375. Where will you look?

  376. Where will you look for the foundation

  377. and for the propping up of that

  378. which will sustain this church?

  379. Friends, it is just Christ.

  380. There's nowhere else to look.

  381. There will be many things that will tempt you

  382. to turn to them.

  383. Many strategies,

  384. many helps,

  385. many opportunities will be offered.

  386. But the only one

  387. who has all things

  388. in his hands

  389. is Christ.

  390. Because you see,

  391. it goes on to say that he is before all things.

  392. He is the head of the church.

  393. He is the Son of the living God.

  394. In 1 Corinthians 12

  395. and in other places in Scripture,

  396. we see that this idea

  397. that Christ is the head of the body.

  398. That we as his church

  399. are the body.

  400. And he is the head.

  401. He is moving and shaping

  402. and working every part.

  403. And every part is equally as important.

  404. Some of us don't like being the toe,

  405. but the toe is important.

  406. You know,

  407. I had a friend in high school.

  408. She cut her big toe off.

  409. Cutting grass.

  410. She was quite the athlete.

  411. After she cut her big toe off,

  412. she had to learn to walk again.

  413. And for that year,

  414. her athletic career

  415. was on pause.

  416. And so if you feel sometimes,

  417. church member,

  418. that, man, you know,

  419. I don't have a place.

  420. I don't have a role.

  421. Let me tell you,

  422. yes, you do.

  423. Because when I look at

  424. the fruit of the Spirit,

  425. when I look at those attributes,

  426. the love, the joy,

  427. the peace,

  428. the patience,

  429. the kindness,

  430. and self-control,

  431. all of those things,

  432. those are roles to play

  433. in the church.

  434. You know,

  435. a smile across a room

  436. can be the role that you play.

  437. A card sent to someone

  438. on their birthday,

  439. just letting them know

  440. that you know about them

  441. and that you care for them,

  442. that could be the role

  443. that you play.

  444. A kind word,

  445. even when you know

  446. that you are right

  447. and the person you're talking to

  448. is wrong,

  449. you show a little bit

  450. of self-control and kindness,

  451. that could be the role

  452. that you play in the church.

  453. And all of those roles

  454. are important.

  455. And so it's not just

  456. to be up here on the stage

  457. or to be in a Sunday school

  458. class leading.

  459. Those are important.

  460. But you have a role to play

  461. and that role

  462. has been secured

  463. in the work of God

  464. through Christ

  465. for his church

  466. and all of that

  467. is being held together

  468. by the finished work

  469. of Christ.

  470. It says he is the beginning,

  471. the firstborn from the dead,

  472. that in everything

  473. he might be preeminent.

  474. We don't have time

  475. to go into that.

  476. So we're just going

  477. to move on.

  478. The third thing

  479. I want you to see

  480. tonight,

  481. first we've seen

  482. that through him

  483. all things were created.

  484. Second,

  485. we've seen through him

  486. and for him

  487. all things were created.

  488. The third point

  489. and maybe the most important

  490. or the one we're going

  491. to spend the most time on

  492. is through him

  493. all things are reconciled.

  494. through him

  495. all things

  496. are reconciled.

  497. You know,

  498. it's

  499. an interesting thing

  500. to think about reconciliation.

  501. Like,

  502. what does reconciliation mean?

  503. It means to be made right.

  504. It means that

  505. that which was wrong

  506. at one point

  507. is no longer wrong,

  508. it's now right.

  509. And so through him

  510. all things

  511. are reconciled.

  512. but what we can see

  513. from this text

  514. is nothing,

  515. now hear that,

  516. nothing

  517. will be made right

  518. apart from Christ.

  519. Nothing.

  520. There's no making

  521. anything right

  522. apart from

  523. the love

  524. and the heart

  525. and the grace

  526. of Christ.

  527. Listen to verse 19.

  528. For in him,

  529. this is my favorite,

  530. I love this.

  531. For in him

  532. all the fullness

  533. of God

  534. was pleased

  535. to dwell.

  536. What Paul's writing there

  537. is in Christ

  538. all the fullness

  539. of the Trinity,

  540. God the Son,

  541. God the Father,

  542. God the Spirit,

  543. were pleased

  544. to dwell.

  545. Now later

  546. in Colossians,

  547. do you know what Paul says?

  548. And in him

  549. you are made complete.

  550. Think about that

  551. for a moment.

  552. In Christ

  553. the fullness of God

  554. was pleased to dwell

  555. and in him,

  556. dear Christian,

  557. you are complete.

  558. There's nothing

  559. that you lack.

  560. You have been made right.

  561. You have been reconciled.

  562. You are

  563. experiencing

  564. a life

  565. of completeness

  566. that you could never

  567. cultivate

  568. on your own.

  569. And so nothing

  570. can be made right

  571. apart from Christ.

  572. And so many of us

  573. try and spend our lives

  574. making our lives right

  575. or making other people's

  576. lives right

  577. by helping them

  578. live moral lives

  579. or to do good things,

  580. which is fine.

  581. But to do that

  582. apart from Christ

  583. leads to nothing.

  584. So members,

  585. can I challenge you?

  586. Can I charge you?

  587. Don't settle

  588. for anything

  589. less than Christ.

  590. Settle for nothing

  591. less than Jesus.

  592. Demand him

  593. and him alone

  594. and don't demand

  595. anything more

  596. because to add to

  597. or to take away

  598. from Christ

  599. is not to get Christ.

  600. It's to get it wrong.

  601. And so members,

  602. as this church

  603. moves ahead,

  604. don't demand anything

  605. more from your

  606. pastors,

  607. from your elders

  608. than Christ.

  609. Christ.

  610. And if they're

  611. giving you Christ,

  612. feast upon him

  613. because he is a bread

  614. that will always satisfy.

  615. He is a well

  616. of springing water

  617. that will always nourish.

  618. And all of these

  619. other things,

  620. they will let you down.

  621. So demand Christ.

  622. Cry out for Christ.

  623. Look for Christ.

  624. And when you find him,

  625. when you hear of him,

  626. and I know Jonathan

  627. is preaching Christ,

  628. I know Treg preaches Christ,

  629. they give you Christ,

  630. feast upon him.

  631. Allow the other things

  632. of the world

  633. to wash away

  634. and allow Christ

  635. to become that

  636. which you gaze upon,

  637. that which you meditate on,

  638. that which you think

  639. deeply upon.

  640. You see,

  641. it's in him

  642. that your neighbors,

  643. that your family,

  644. and your friends

  645. will be reconciled to God.

  646. I know if we went

  647. around the room

  648. and I said,

  649. do you have loved ones

  650. or neighbors or friends

  651. that you think

  652. need to come to church

  653. and need to know Christ?

  654. All of us would,

  655. absolutely.

  656. We could take a list,

  657. we could take some time

  658. of prayer,

  659. and we would all

  660. identify those people.

  661. but all too often,

  662. I know in my own life,

  663. I do a lot better job

  664. telling those people

  665. how they can make

  666. their lives better

  667. than I do

  668. in telling them

  669. about Christ.

  670. But friends,

  671. when you're part of a church

  672. that gives you Christ

  673. at every turn,

  674. when you're at a church

  675. where you demand Christ

  676. at every turn,

  677. it's then that you are

  678. prepared to give Christ,

  679. to share Christ,

  680. to show Christ.

  681. And then,

  682. as you pray for your neighbors,

  683. your family,

  684. and your friends,

  685. it's then

  686. that God is pleased to work.

  687. It's then that God

  688. begins to draw

  689. those for whom Christ died,

  690. and it's then

  691. that those folks

  692. will be reconciled.

  693. The peace of God

  694. that surpasses

  695. all understanding

  696. will begin to rule

  697. and reign in their hearts

  698. as it does in yours.

  699. Because

  700. we love our neighbors.

  701. You love this community.

  702. You wouldn't be here.

  703. I think God has great plans

  704. for this community.

  705. And I love to think

  706. that it pleases God

  707. to provide his peace

  708. for all who are cleansed

  709. by the blood of the cross.

  710. It pleases him

  711. to cleanse all

  712. who come by the blood

  713. of the cross.

  714. Have you ever thought

  715. about that?

  716. Like,

  717. it's pleasing to God

  718. to save,

  719. to sanctify,

  720. to glorify,

  721. to sustain,

  722. to build,

  723. to cultivate

  724. that which is glorious

  725. in Christ.

  726. Christ.

  727. That's what God

  728. loves to do.

  729. And the main means

  730. in which he has chosen

  731. to do that

  732. is through the church.

  733. It's through you guys.

  734. It's through your lives.

  735. Yes,

  736. you gather here

  737. to worship on Sundays,

  738. and we love that.

  739. We elevate that.

  740. That is a necessity

  741. in your lives.

  742. But what do we do

  743. with the other

  744. six days

  745. or however many hours?

  746. How is it,

  747. church,

  748. that we plan

  749. to display

  750. the all things

  751. are Christ

  752. in this community?

  753. how will you

  754. love them?

  755. How will you

  756. point them

  757. to the reconciliation

  758. of the cross?

  759. Well,

  760. it's by giving them Christ.

  761. It's a simple concept.

  762. When you have a conversation

  763. with someone,

  764. give them Christ.

  765. You pray for them

  766. in the name of Christ.

  767. You invite them

  768. into your home.

  769. You invite them out

  770. to lunch.

  771. You spend time

  772. with them.

  773. You live with them

  774. for the glory

  775. of God in Christ.

  776. And as you're

  777. discipling them,

  778. you bring them

  779. into this church.

  780. And it's here,

  781. members,

  782. remember what I said.

  783. You demand Christ

  784. of your elders.

  785. And elders,

  786. what do you do?

  787. You give them Christ.

  788. And it's this

  789. beautiful cycle.

  790. It's quite simple,

  791. really.

  792. You know,

  793. I've heard it said

  794. that the gospel

  795. is simply complex.

  796. I think that's true.

  797. So as we think about

  798. this passage here,

  799. for in him

  800. all the fullness

  801. of God

  802. was pleased to dwell.

  803. And through him

  804. to reconcile

  805. to himself

  806. all things.

  807. You see, church,

  808. there's a day coming

  809. when all things

  810. will be made right.

  811. And Christ will return,

  812. new heaven

  813. and new earth,

  814. and all things

  815. will be reconciled.

  816. Every knee will bow,

  817. every tongue will confess

  818. that Jesus Christ

  819. is Lord.

  820. all that sin

  821. has tainted

  822. and darkened

  823. in your lives

  824. and the lives

  825. of my family

  826. and your families

  827. and throughout

  828. human history

  829. will all be made right.

  830. It will be reconciled.

  831. Through Christ

  832. will be reconciled

  833. to God

  834. whether on earth

  835. or in heaven.

  836. Now that's a fantastic

  837. thing to think about.

  838. There's not a

  839. cosmic power

  840. that will not be reconciled.

  841. God

  842. making peace

  843. by the blood

  844. of his cross.

  845. All things.

  846. All things.

  847. And so the beauty

  848. of tonight,

  849. in my opinion,

  850. is that we get

  851. to play a small part

  852. in the all things

  853. work of God.

  854. You see,

  855. it's a complete work

  856. but it's a not yet work.

  857. It's kind of like

  858. I was preaching

  859. this morning

  860. in Galatians

  861. and this idea

  862. that our flesh

  863. has been crucified.

  864. Well,

  865. our flesh

  866. has been crucified

  867. with Christ

  868. on the cross

  869. but it's also

  870. being crucified

  871. daily

  872. as I reject sin.

  873. It's a verb form

  874. that we don't really

  875. have a good explanation

  876. for in English.

  877. It's happened

  878. and it's continually

  879. happening.

  880. It's the same thing here.

  881. All things

  882. have been reconciled

  883. in your life

  884. and in my life

  885. but all things

  886. are being reconciled

  887. as we show

  888. and as we display

  889. and as we share Christ

  890. with his community.

  891. We get to play a part

  892. in that

  893. and then one day

  894. fully and finally

  895. it will all be complete

  896. because of the finished

  897. work of Christ.

  898. So elders,

  899. preach Christ.

  900. elders,

  901. rest in Christ.

  902. Share

  903. the peace

  904. of Christ.

  905. Faith comes by hearing

  906. and hearing

  907. by the word

  908. of Christ.

  909. Give them Christ.

  910. Members,

  911. delight in Christ.

  912. Abide

  913. in Christ.

  914. Share

  915. the love

  916. of Christ.

  917. Jesus said,

  918. I am the vine.

  919. You are the branches.

  920. Whoever abides

  921. in me

  922. and I in him,

  923. he it is

  924. that bears

  925. much fruit.

  926. For apart

  927. from me

  928. you can do

  929. nothing.

  930. Paul said,

  931. for in him

  932. was the fullness

  933. of the Godhead bodily

  934. and you

  935. have been made

  936. complete

  937. in him.

  938. This church,

  939. it's complete.

  940. Not because of

  941. what's happening

  942. tonight,

  943. but because of

  944. Christ.

  945. Let us keep

  946. our eyes

  947. upon Christ.

  948. Would you pray

  949. with me?

  950. God,

  951. I thank you

  952. that in him

  953. is the fullness

  954. of the Trinitarian

  955. God,

  956. Father,

  957. Son,

  958. and Spirit.

  959. I pray

  960. tonight for

  961. this church,

  962. for Siwi

  963. Baptist Church,

  964. O God,

  965. that she

  966. would be

  967. a beautiful

  968. bride,

  969. that she

  970. would display

  971. a glorious

  972. goodness

  973. that this

  974. community

  975. has not yet

  976. seen

  977. of the person

  978. and work

  979. of Jesus Christ,

  980. that this

  981. church would

  982. display the

  983. all thingsness

  984. of Jesus,

  985. that he

  986. is the

  987. beginning,

  988. that he

  989. is the

  990. sustainer,

  991. that he

  992. is preeminent,

  993. that he

  994. is the

  995. reconciler.

  996. And so,

  997. God,

  998. start with

  999. us.

  1000. May our

  1001. hearts be

  1002. pure,

  1003. may our

  1004. hearts be

  1005. set upon

  1006. the beauty

  1007. of Christ.

  1008. And then,

  1009. God,

  1010. I pray

  1011. that you

  1012. would begin

  1013. a great

  1014. awakening

  1015. in this

  1016. community.

  1017. God,

  1018. those who

  1019. are far

  1020. from you

  1021. but close

  1022. to us,

  1023. would you

  1024. draw them

  1025. to your

  1026. son by

  1027. your spirit

  1028. and by

  1029. your word.

  1030. And may

  1031. you use

  1032. the members

  1033. of this

  1034. church and

  1035. this church

  1036. proper in

  1037. this community

  1038. that your

  1039. glory might

  1040. rain down,

  1041. that your

  1042. goodness

  1043. might be on

  1044. display in

  1045. this community

  1046. as it is in

  1047. heaven.

  1048. it's in

  1049. Christ's name

  1050. that I

  1051. pray.

  1052. Amen.

  1053. Amen.
