-
I was up early this morning, as is my normal Sunday morning routine, and I was praying over the day, and the Lord just dropped a phrase in my spirit.
-
And the phrase was simply this: that a tsunami of his glory was getting ready to hit the land.
-
That a tsunami of the Spirit of the Lord was getting ready to be poured out across the land.
-
And he was going to visit every place, no place would be off limits.
-
Any place that would call upon the name of Jesus would receive the glory.
-
That God's glory would start on the east coast and move all the way across to the west coast like a wave of the glory of his presence over his people.
-
Just a moment ago during worship, I want to use this morning not just to communicate what I feel like the Lord is doing, but to teach you how to receive it and respond to it.
-
So I had that dropped in my spirit, and I just, okay, Lord, I don't know what to do with that, but I received that and I know you're working things, and I just have that in my mind.
-
And then, man, God showed up in worship this morning.
-
And then Miss Emily walked over to me and said, Pastor, during the prayer team meeting before service, our prayer team that prays over people every week always gathers before service just to pray and intercede for a few minutes before the service begins.
-
And quite often, a prophetic word, word of knowledge, a word of wisdom, a word of revelation will be given during that time that God will confirm during the service.
-
And that happened this morning.
-
She said the word of the Lord was that the cloud of the glory of the presence of God was here today.
-
Don't you love it when God orchestrates things?
-
Let me tell you what the glory of God is.
-
The glory is the favor of God.
-
It's the grace of God upon the people of God, not because of what they can deserve or earn.
-
It's just his favor.
-
It's a manifestation of his presence that releases his favor over his people, not just to give you goosebumps, but to empower you to do what he's called you to do.
-
That's what the glory of God is.
-
The glory of God is the favor of God upon the people of God to accomplish the will of God.
-
So that it is manifested in our lives, but not just in our lives, but through our lives.
-
Because God doesn't just love us, He loves the world.
-
He loves your neighbor, He loves your coworker, He loves your friend, He loves the person that you interact with on a daily basis.
-
How many of you guys know He doesn't just love the Redeemed?
-
The Bible says, for God so loved the world.
-
So what God wants to do is impart his glory upon his church to empower us to reach the world around us.
-
It's not just so that we have an emotional moment, it's not just so that we get spirit-filled goosebumps and feel better.
-
The glory is the empowerment that we have to have to do what he's called us to do.
-
Come on, somebody, say amen to that.
-
How many of you know this morning?
-
I can't do what he's called to do on my own.
-
I can't achieve it.
-
I'm not smart enough, I'm not strong enough, I'm not educated enough, I'm just not enough.
-
But he's more than enough.
-
He's more than enough.
-
He's more also turn to your neighbor and say he's more than enough.
-
He's more than enough.
-
And what he delights to do is to pour himself out into you.
-
I can't get away from this passage of scripture.
-
You've heard me quote it multiple times recently.
-
But the apostle Paul says the same power.
-
The same power.
-
The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you.
-
Do you know what that means, church?
-
It means we don't get a cop out.
-
That means that we don't have a choice to retreat.
-
It means we don't have an opportunity to say, well, I can't.
-
Because if the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you, that's why all things are possible through him who believes.
-
See, God wants to pour his glory out upon you to empower you to do the impossible.
-
I think there's three areas that we should lean into for a moment this morning, and we're gonna pray for one another.
-
We're gonna continue in worship, and we're gonna allow the Spirit of God to minister in the way that He desires to minister today.
-
But I was praying about this word, the Lord, I just feel like dropped in my spirit today.
-
Lord, what what is the direction?
-
Your glory is being poured out, your glory is being revealed, your glory is being imparted so that your people can be empowered.
-
What God, what what are you what are you wanting to do?
-
Help give me direction for this.
-
And and I feel like what the Lord is wanting to do this morning in you is that He's wanting to revive some dreams.
-
Some dreams that maybe the enemy has stolen from you, some dreams that God has divinely deposited, but but time and circumstance has stolen from you.
-
Can I tell you?
-
Yes, I will.
-
Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean God's not going to do it.
-
Because the reality of it is, is that He's sovereign over the timing of things, and He's not just looking for any time, He's looking for the right time, He's looking for the time that when He does what He wants to do, it doesn't just change your life, it changes the lives of everybody around you because it's not just about you, it's about the world being changed.
-
See, one of the things that we misunderstand all too often is we we want what we want and we want it now.
-
Can somebody say amen to that?
-
For us, any time will do, and now looks like a good time.
-
But God's not just looking for any time.
-
How often does the Bible say, and the fullness of time had come, and the right time had arrived that God was going to do what He had promised years, decades, even centuries before, the time, the fulfillment of the timing had arrived so that what would happen wouldn't just change a life, but it would change a country.
-
And I believe this morning the Lord is wanting to pour out his glory upon you to revive some things that maybe the enemy has stolen from you, some things that time has gone on for so long that maybe you've even forgotten about.
-
Some promises that he made to you as a child, some promises he made to you as a young person, some promises maybe he made to you in in the early part of your career.
-
Maybe there's some promises that time has caused you to forget.
-
I believe today God's reviving those memories.
-
So I believe this morning that God wants to pour out his glory to revive some things the enemy has stolen from you, to revive some things that you have forgotten.
-
And thirdly, to revive some things that you've just discarded.
-
You've just said, I guess that's not for me.
-
Anybody ever said that?
-
Every anybody here this morning been waiting on God to do something for so long?
-
It's not that you've forgotten it, it's not that the enemy has stolen it from you, but you've just set it aside and determined.
-
I guess I missed it, I guess I didn't hear the Lord, I guess this really wasn't for me.
-
Anybody been there this morning?
-
This morning, the time has arrived for some things to be revived again.
-
That God is going to impart his glory to you, and when he does, there's going to be a revival on the inside of you of the things that he deposited in you maybe years or decades ago that you've just forgotten about, lost, or discarded.
-
I believe we need to get ready for a revival of the glory of God in our lives, and I believe it's sooner than we think.
-
I believe what He wants to do is not months and years ahead.
-
I believe the fullness of time has arrived.
-
Matter of fact, I I'm just gonna be bold and say what I feel.
-
Is that okay?
-
And if I'm wrong, I'll admit I'm wrong and I missed it.
-
But that's okay.
-
We don't always get it right.
-
Can somebody say amen?
-
Listen, let me tell you something.
-
I would rather attempt to do what God's called me to do and get it wrong than not to attempt at all.
-
Come on.
-
I I would rather miss it than not try at all.
-
I'd rather say it and be wrong than not say it at all.
-
Nothing risks us, nothing gained.
-
And I'm gonna tell you what, we don't walk in the miraculous if unless we're willing to risk it.
-
So if I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
-
And I'll admit it.
-
And you'll forgive me.
-
You'll forgive me.
-
And we'll try again.
-
One of the things that I've discovered through my educational journey that I've been on in the last couple of years is something that I honestly I was very limitedly aware of, but have become much more aware through this program that I've been in.
-
Is the significance of the eighth day.
-
You know, numbers in scripture carry great meaning.
-
The number three represents the trinity, the number seven represents perfection, the number ten represents testing.
-
But the number eight I was somewhat unfamiliar with.
-
But you know that it was the number eight that the early church through the first 300 years of the church's existence placed the most significance on.
-
Because the number eight represents resurrection and new beginnings.
-
The number eight, Jesus was was raised on the eighth day, and the early church called themselves eighth day people, that we are people of the resurrection.
-
Can I tell you, we're not people of a dead Savior, we're people of a life savior.
-
That he was raised on the eighth day.
-
This eighth day meaning had so much significance to them that the early churches were built in octagon shapes.
-
Eight shapes, eight sides, pulpits were eight-sided, baptisms, baptismals were eight-sided, that they made sure that we remembered we serve a God that is alive.
-
He's alive forevermore.
-
We're eighth-day people because we believe in the resurrection.
-
Next month is the eighth month of the year.
-
And I'm believing there's a new beginning coming.
-
I'm believing there's a new release of the resurrection of the power of God next month.
-
I believe we're at the precipice of something that we've dreamed about.
-
Can I tell you it's even beyond because that's what the Bible says, the God that we serve does, that he delights in doing immeasurably more than all we could ask or think or imagine according to his power that is at work within us.
-
I believe that next month holds incredible significance for the outpouring of the glory of God.
-
And if I'm wrong, forgive me, but I would rather hope for that reality than not declare its possibility.
-
So we we need to get ready, we need to consecrate ourselves over the course of the next month, set ourselves apart for what God wants to do.
-
And I believe that begins today by us praying for one another.
-
If you're here this morning, and as I was sharing the three things that I feel like the glory of the Lord is being poured out to do, and it resonated with your heart.
-
If any one of those things resonated with your heart, I'm gonna ask you to stand in just a moment.
-
And as a church family, we're gonna gather around you and we're gonna pray for you.
-
Because one of the primary purposes of the church is to bear one another's burdens, to encourage, to comfort, to strengthen, to lift one another up, because we were never intended to live this life alone.
-
If you're here this morning and you would say there's some dreams, there's some dreams the enemy is stolen from me.
-
Maybe the circumstances of my life have unfolded in such a fashion that the dreams have been stolen.
-
Maybe some mistake that you made that felt like it put you on the sideline.
-
Maybe it was the actions of another person that put you on the sideline, and you know there's something, the enemy, somebody's already standing, praise the Lord.
-
If you're here this morning and that's you, would you just stand right where you're seat, sitting?
-
That's right, thank you for that.
-
If there's there's some dreams the enemy has stolen from you, I'm declaring, praise the Lord, hallelujah, church.
-
How many of you guys know we're in the right place at the right time for the glory of the Spirit of God to revive what the enemy has stolen?
-
The Bible tells us the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
-
But our God has come that we might have life and eat more abundantly above all we could ask or think or imagine.
-
If you see somebody standing around you this morning, I'm gonna ask you to get up out of your seat and go lay your hand on their shoulder and just begin to intercede.
-
And this is how I want you to pray.
-
I want you to pray restoration in Jesus' name.
-
Restoration and revival to the dreams that the enemy has stolen.
-
The Bible tells us that the everything the enemy steals, he has to return.
-
And so today we declare a returning of the dreams of God over your life.
-
I declare he has to return it, not just as it was, but he has to add to it.
-
I declare revival.
-
God pour out your glory over your church this morning.
-
A release, a returning today of everything that the enemy has stolen, every dream, every desire, every purpose, every destiny that has been stolen from your people.
-
I declare return it today.
-
In Jesus' name.
-
I declare it will be returned very soon and very quickly.
-
Come on, church, just intercede right there for your brothers and your sisters in the faith.
-
If you had something stolen from you, I want you to put it that way.
-
Come on right now in the name of Jesus.
-
We declare return today.
-
Dreams, destiny, resource.
